I will say that Charlie's has come a long way in the last 20 years. We have purchased more than a few vehicles there. There was a time when we stopped buying there because of their service department. We ended up going back several years ago, and after being assured that there had been changes, we tried their service department again. I have been pretty impressed. They have treated us well, so far. I hope it continues.

Most of my experience was fine, however they didn't fill my vehicle with gas. They told me they don't fill used cars, well I paid $17,000 on a used vehicle, just thought they should fill it up.Having a issue with the car, their first response was to kind of blow it off as nothing, I'm giving that a chance, we'll see how that goes.

I went to the Kia dealership at Charlie's Motor Mall only on a fact finding mission. I had no expectations of buying a car, much less a brand new 2017 Kia Sorento! The service that both Gary and Jeff gave me was exceptional, very low key, and essentially hassle free. My new car now rests beautifully in my garage.Thanks Charlie's! I purchased a brand new Jeep Cherokee last Friday. After the vehicle was sent to maintenance to be checked out and the paperwork completed, I drove it home (90 minutes ride). As soon as I arrived home, my husband began checking out the Jeep. Upon opening the hood he immediately noticed that mice had been thru it. There was a substantial nest in the engine (made of hay and insulation). The nest was removed; the wires were bare and the engine extremely hot (I was later informed that the damage was substantial). I called the sales manager who suggested that I continue to drive the vehicle until the rims I ordered arrived in 2 weeks. I of course refused to continue driving it for safety reasons. After many calls, and a lot of conflicting statements from the sales department, a tow truck took the Jeep back to Charlie's and as of today I still do not have a new car. I look forward to seeing Mr. Shuman on the slopes at Sugarloaf to share the pictures and my experience with him personally. My safety and that of my mothers (who was with me) was compromised by lack of attention to detail and later appropriate customer service. So much for the hassle free, simple, honest experience promised on you website.

Stopped to gaze upon the new Nissan diesel pickup, only going to look for a few minutes but it only took a few seconds to fall deeply in like with the vehicle. Najib (spelling) made the entire process stress/anxiety free and he's easy to talk to, probably the best salesman I have ever dealt with and I'm very happy with the whole deal! Everyone was great and it was so easy.

Every 4 years or so I dread the perceived hassle of car shopping. Much to my surprise, my experience with Charlie's Nissan was actually quite pleasant. I initially dealt with Andrew on the internet side and he responded back to my e-mail very promptly. My dealings with Bubba and the rest of the staff were very positive and professional as well, with (most notably) no typical salesman pressure! I recently took my 2011 KIA Sorrento in to have some work done. Charles was very good about checking to see if the work was warrantied, which it was. They took care of the issue quickly and let me know as soon as my car was ready. I was using a 2015 Nissan Rogue as a rental. I had that car 3-1/2 days. I liked the car so much that when I went to pick up my KIA I inquired about the rental being for sale. I was told that particular car was not available but they did have other models similar. After giving Jared my salesman a little info about payment range and possible trade-in option, he recommended a car for a test drive. My husband and myself enjoyed the vehicle I tested but it wasn't really "The One". Jared quickly had another option for me. I took one look and new it was "The One". Now all we had to do was make sure the numbers worked for me. Every time I asked a question I was given an answer that I was comfortable with. I am very satisfied with this buying experience, and very happy with my new 2016 Nissan Rogue.

Just WOW, 5 STARS! We have been made members of the family! "See them first, see them last, but see them and save" I have looked at 10 different dealerships for purchasing a vehicle and I always come back to Charlie's. Specifically, there are a group of employees that have gone beyond the call of duty and have surpassed my expectations. This is important to note, since I have been in the customer service industry and have taught employees on how to best take care of and listen to customers needs. These employees deserve the highest respect and I give them my full commendation and recommendation to any potential customer. To give you a back ground, my wife and I had been to two other dealerships the day before, one of those times we were met with arrogance and a lack of customer respect. This dealership we went to, noted cars that we were looking at and then because they have 12 dealerships, decided to allow them to be shipped around to other potential customers at other dealerships, leaving us with no car to test drive. This was a very poor experience and lead us to another place, Charlie's. During our visit at Charlie's all these members were fantastic. Paul showed us countless vehicles and answered all my questions. I have to admit I am far from the easiest customer in the world. After test drive a couple and learning what we were looking for Paul showed us a Traverse, at face value it was exactly what we were looking for. After further examination my wife decided to go with the Sorento. Even though the deal was all but done, they put us in the Sorento the vehicle my wife wanted from the beginning but had yet to find. Shaun, worked out the numbers and consulted with John the manager to get us a fair price and an excellent deal. They offered me about what I wanted for my trade and found a great rate with a reputable lender. Lastly after working on the first deal, Jay came in on his day off to finalize the deal on the Sorrento for us. Although their were some bumps in the road, these members are a representation of what exceptional customer service can be. I should note, even after the sale Paul has helped me with little things and has kept in touch even helping us set appointments to address questions and concerns. No one in the local area wanted to deal and even swore at me more then once using the "F" word...My friend Roger said he has always had excellent service at Charlie's in Augusta....So we took a day and went there and what a major difference in attitude compared to around here....They were polite, well versed in the knowledge of the vehicles and they were willing to deal.....I left there in a 2016 Nissan Frontier at a price I felt comfortable of paying....I guess that makes me part of the family...Thank you all.....

It started right off very positive. We were greeted right at the front door by a very person and he asked if there was someone or something we would like help finding. The next thing that happened was the car we were interested in came right out and we were given a preview and sent out for a test ride. When we came back we went in to do the negotiations. The financial person came in and he gave us every possible option for us to purchase the car. We agreed to a price and a financial option and then he told us it would just be a few minutes and the paperwork would be ready. Everything went flawless. I have purchased or leased a lot of vehicles over time and 3 years ago my wife and I leased 2 new vehicles in one day. It took us from 8 am to 4 pm before it was completed. At Charlies Nissan we were in and out in less than 2 hours. It was an amazing experience. We do plan on going back to look when our leases are done.

This is my 4th new vehicle that I have purchased from Charlie's, my 3rd Nissan Pickup. I had checked with another dealership before going to Charlie's. When that dealership asked what it would take to close the deal and I told them they said they couldn't do it. Charlie's not only made the deal but offered an interest rate 2.5% less than the other dealership. So, if you are in the market for a new Nissan Pickup Truck visit Charlie's and ask for Bubba. my daughter went to charlies looking for a car and she had certain standards of what she wanted and would not take any thing less then that . her salesman Derek had his hands full with us . he brought out three cars by the third car she was very happy . our credit not being the best was a challenge that they had to really work numbers and work some magic. they worked extra hard to get her in this car and they did it . my daughter is now in a safe 2013 kia sorento that she is so happy with .the service we received there was beyond amazing . Derek filled her tank and washed the car and stayed later to make sure we had everything all taken care of even though it was way past his time to go home . we are truly grateful to charlies and there employees for great service and when we are ready for a new car i will be going to charlies for one . thank you derek and all the people who worked so hard to make this happen i highly recommend charlies to anyone buying a vehicle thank you ...

The newly re-designed 2015 Kia Sedona is like a better version of the Honda Odyssey. Everyone at Charlie's Kia was great and make you feel at home. After seeing a Charlie's Auto Mall sticker on many vehicles while traveling throughout the State, my wife and I decided to visit your dealership with really no intention of buying at the resent time. That was not the case. After meeting Ryan Mitchell and going over the terms of purchasing a new vehicle, we decided to buy a new Rogue. We have bought a lot of vehicles over the years and dealt with many dealerships in Maine, but we have never had the experience we recently had with Charlie's. We were treated with the upmost respect from Ryan and the two other finance men(their names escape me, sorry). The deal they offered us was second to none, and every promise was kept. We were very pleased with our experience at Charlie's, especially the people we dealt with. I can confidently say the Charlie' Auto Mall is an outstanding dealership and I look forward to doing business with them in the future.

We were in the market for a small SUV that would tow our boat. After doing an extensive internet research, we decide to check out Charlie's. We had bought our Honda Civic Hybrid from Charlie's in 2007 and had a pleasant experience then, so we decided to come back. We talked with Salesman Jared Noorwood and told him what we were looking for. He listened and was not pushy like other salesmen we have dealt with.He showed as a Kia Sorento and we absolutely loved it. The fact that the Kia is made in the USA was a BIG plus for us.The Sales Manager at Charlie's Kia , Jeff Sprague, was wonderful. He made our visit one of the most pleasant and fun times that we have ever had while dealing for a vehicle. I searched their inventory on line, called and asked about the vehicle I wanted prior to driving there. The vehicle I wanted was washed, full of gas and waiting for me in front of the dealership. I took the truck for a drive, maybe 5 to 10 miles, and went back to deal. I knew what I wanted to pay, they came within a few hundred bucks on the first try, I agreed and we did the paperwork. I was out the door with my new truck in 1 hour flat. Thats what I wanted and they provided. I needed a hitch added, they made the appointment on the date I requested and completed the work as promised. I do not know if I got the best deal, but I did get a fair deal with absolutly no hassles and my experience with the service department was second to none.

Very efficient, easy online shopping experience. I found out more about the Jeep than I ever knew and that pushed me further to explore and I kept liking what I saw. The inventory was well stocked with all colors and options on the Jeep Unlimited Wrangler that I wanted. I was able to put everything together and pick my favorite package, price (and color!). I found the prices were right in the ballpark with fair market price and even got a better offer with the online "eprice". I wanted to finance the purchase and that was all preapproved immediately. The whole experience was fun and satisfying and I did not ever feel like I was being bullied or hoodwinked like many other dealers I have purchased from. We picked up the car the next day and found the employees at the dealership to be very helpful, happy, knowledgable and efficient. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming. My only regret is that I didn't buy my previous vehicles at Charlie's .

Very efficient, easy online shopping experience. I found out more about the Jeep than I ever knew and that pushed me further to explore and I kept liking what I saw. The inventory was well stocked with all colors and options on the Jeep Unlimited Wrangler that I wanted. I was able to put everything together and pick my favorite package, price (and color!). I found the prices were right in the ballpark with fair market price and even got a better offer with the online "eprice". I wanted to finance the purchase and that was all preapproved immediately. The whole experience was fun and satisfying and I did not ever feel like I was being bullied or hoodwinked like many other dealers I have purchased from.We picked up the car the next day and found the employees at the dealership to be very helpful, happy, knowledgable and efficient. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming.My only regret is that I didn't buy my previous vehicles at Charlie's .

Our future online dealings were similarly disturbing, especially when trying to email Joe directly. He and others never received our emailed messages, we were given incorrect information, and we were preparing to purchase a vehicle elsewhere. We called Joe (this is the only way to contact anyone beyond the internet manager who seems to have a monopoly on emails) and decided that he had gone beyond the necessary in helping us (in many other ways) while cleaning up the mess someone else had made. Purchasing a car through him and manager Jeff Sprague was a delight! Jeff knew how to reduce anxieties (especially by speaking French) and Joe was friendly and thorough in his presentation of the car information and operation. Joe and Jeff receive a 5+ rating, but our other experiences with Charlies pulls our overall rating down to a '3'. We would highly recommend working with the Dynamic Duo who saved us from the online terror.

I really was not looking to purchase that day, but the Pathfinder I saw fit what I was looking for. The staff at Charlie's was great from the salesman through to the final financial office were professional and non-pressuring in their approach, which I appreciated. Any questions I had were answered fully and was given what the final cost was to be and I left to think it over before I made the decision to buy.On Saturday afternoon, after going to several other dealers in the area comparing values, I called Charlie's back and told them I was going to take the Nissan. They put a hold on the vehicle and Monday went to sign the papers and take ownership. Overall I was impressed by the courtesy and professionalism of everybody and certainly will recommend any of my friends to check Charlie's out for themselves.

I have driven Maximas from Charlie's since 1991. My most recent was a 2005 which was now 10 years old. I wanted something that got better gas mileage, but I also wanted a heated steering wheel that I have had since that first Maxima. Charlie's had a barely used 2014 Altima SL that only had 7300 miles. They gave me a great deal and certified the car so I got the extended warranty. While the four cylinder is not as powerful as the Maxima, it can still pass another car with ease. The Altima rides great for the size of the car. The seats are very comfortable. The turning radius is far better than the Maxima. The controls are intuitive, and we are averaging 35 mpg for our first two months. I only wish the Altima came with memory seating and all wheel drive, but other than that, I couldn't be happier with my almost new Altima, and with Charlie's.

I absolutely love this dealership! After looking for a car for 5 weeks and almost giving up...Charlie's saved the day. My car was dying and I needed something immediately. I called Tony, told him what car I was interested in and what price range I wanted to stay in. Needless to say, he found the model I wanted in less then a half an hour. I went to Charlie's, test drove the car and bought it at the price we discussed. The entire transaction took no more than an hour. No hassle..No dreaded haggling...Great customer service!!! First let me say I hate car shopping and I don't have time to shop around at different dealerships for the best price so I was a little hesitant about taking the drive to Charlie's in Augusta. Their advertised lease prices were very attractive but thought for sure it was the old bait and switch. I was pleasantly surprised to learn that they had several options in the models we were looking at. Our sales rep, Andy, let us test drive the two models we were looking at and even offered to give us pricing on both models. He was very honest and upfront and willing to work with us. We also met with the sales manager, Sean, and the finance manager, Randy, who were both a pleasure to work with. I'm happy to say we drove home in a new car and were beyond pleased with the experience. We will definitely go back to Charlie's for our next car.

Salesman Sam S. was great. The experiancenwas like car shopping with a friend, not a pushy salesman. He listened to what i was looking for, could afford and did not waste my time with vehicles that did not fit my needs. Made sure that the vehicle, options and even the color were exactly what I wanted. Sam even checked to se if I needed anything while I was waiting for the finance department. Sales manager Tim was sure to get me the best price for my trade. I prefer to work with one person, so I am not a fan of the transfer from salesman to finance, but was not a deal breaker. Their wait time between price negotiation and signing papers is WAY too long, took over 2.5 hrs to sign on the dotted line after I had agreed to the purchase price. Overall GREAT experiance at this dealership, have already recommended to others.

I got exactly the vehicle I wanted no more no less. Nobody tried to sell me more than I wanted. They stayed past closing over 2 hours because I would not be able to come back for several weeks due to Scheduling conflicts . They were able to install fog lights within 3 days. Fog lights to me are a very necessary safety equipment and should be standard on all vehicles not just those with all the bells and whistles. I do not need all the extras but I did need the fog lights so they made sure I got them in a timely manner. I was greeted within minutes by an employee who was not a sales person. Everyone was friendly.

Shop around you will likely get a better deal. Looked online at other dealers after purchased and found it for much less. Sales manager knew I needed a vehicle and wouldn't budge. Don't be fooled by the invoice price they show you. They buy in large quantities from the factory and get large discounts. Hold out until they pass the savings on to you.

I bought a car from them and decided it was not the right car for me, the dealer knew I wanted to trade it in and they told me I was in huge negative equity. Went and traded it in elsewhere and found a suv the next trim level up and a much better price. Disappointed in this transaction as I have had success in the past with Charlie's.

We have previously purchased a 2011 Subaru LegacyA Charlie's Subaru. So when we were considering a 2015 Nissan Rogue for a second vehicle we returned to Charlie"s. We corresponded with Andrew OHearn via e-mail. He met us at the front door of Charlie's Nissan. He then handed us off to Ryan Mitchell who took us on a couple of test drives. He answered all questions we had without skipping a beat. We even got a tour of the Service deptment where they hand wash each car after the service check! Ryan asked if we would like any refreshments right there off the showroom, then escorted us to a cubical where we did a bit of dealing and numbers. We came up with an agreement to purchase the vehicle . All the while Tony in finance had worked his magic and had all papers ready for our signatures. We were out the door proud owners of a new Nissan Rouge. We were even asked by Charlie himself if we had been all taken care of. It is great to see the owner right out there with the employees! I recently just graduated college and am getting ready to move to Georgia. I need a car to get me there with enough space for all my stuff, get good gas mileage, etc. I went to Charlie's because that is where my family has gone ever since we moved to Maine. My mom had called ahead and informed them of what I needed because I have no idea how to do anything when it comes to buying cars. When I walked in I asked for Joe and the guys were able to get him for me and then he put me in touch with Sam Saunders, the best salesperson I have ever worked with. Sam new I really new nothing about what I was doing so he took the initiative to teach me about what I was getting myself into. Sam was very entertaining and very helpful when it came to buying a car, he told me about the insurance I needed to get, where the service area/car wash is located, what I would be looking at for monthly payments, etc. All in all my experience at Charlie's was amazing and if I do decide to move back to Maine at some point I will always choose Charlie's! I had been shopping for a used car all over the central maine area, as i dont think buying a new car is a wise purchase. After a week of frustration and mistreatment at other establishments, I walked into Charlies. I am always suprised at the inventory there, they have so many cars to choose from. My salesman was great, he listened to what I wanted, didnt push me into what he wanted me to buy. After a couple test drives to make sure my initial choice was the right one, I sat down with the sales manager and he gave me a great deal. They offered me the carfax and the price was better than I had been given any where else. I bought the car and I love it. My salesman called to remind me of the free car wash and make sure I was happy with my recent purchase. Charlies and the whole staff was great, and I won't buy another car anywhere else. My wife and I just returned from our 5th car buying trip to Charlie's Motor Mall in Augusta. I can honestly say that this trip has been by far the easiest and most pleasant car buying experience we have ever dealt with. We received an online "ePrice" from Andrew O'Hearn and we were amazed that the price we received online was the same price at the dealership! We have had many experiences in the past where other dealers "special prices" neglected to include various extra charges adding up to hundreds of dollars extra over the quoted price! BEWARE!This is our 5th Jeep purchased from Andrew Dupont and we couldn't recommend him enough! He was very professional and took the time to make sure all our questions were answered. Also, the sales manager John Gallo was able to explain the interest rates and payments perfectly. Like I said before, we have been Charlie's customers for the past four vehicles and we will continue to be happy Charlie's customers in the future. About 2 weeks ago I went to Charlie's to look at some cars. After being there about 5 minutes a salesman named Ryan finally came out. He asked me what I was looking for and then told me where to find it. Instead of showing me, he went back inside to get out of the cold. We remained on the lot another 15 minutes and he never came back outside. It was his loss because I found a car that I really like and wanted to test drive. I ended up going down the street to Charlie's competitors and buying the same car I wanted to test drive at Charlie's

My husband and I went in while one of our children was at practice to try out one of the Kia Sorentos that I had seen online. Josh Ham was outside when we drove up and I explained to him we did not have much time to be at the dealership, he understood and as very helpful with getting us to the Sorento we wanted to try out. He was not pushy and very nice, we were trading in my older vehicle and they worked with us in giving us what we wanted for a trade in and threw in something for the new Sorento I wanted. With being pressed for time they were all friendly and worked with my family to get us out of there, drove the new Sorento to me that night so we could sign the papers and drove my old one away, Thanks for your help and we will be back in the future!

Wanted to say how pleased I was with the service I received when the transmission went out on my Jeep Commander. The staff there did an exceptional job of getting me in right away and the friendliness and concern for getting me back on the road was exceptional. Laurie Dutil was one of the most pleasant service personnel I have had the pleasure to deal with in a long time. Thank you Laurie for all the help just being a truly pleasant person to talk to. The entire experience was a real pleasure. Also would like to thank Darryl the service manager for all he did. Everything he told me came out just as said.

I've been looking for a vehicle for about a month now and was having no luck. My sister and I went to Charlie's just to check it out. Josh Ham came out and asked what I was looking for and within 2 hours I was in my 2013 Jeep Patriot. I love it! I had never considered a Jeep but I couldn't be happier with it. I drove into Charlie's Jeep dealership and I was met by Josh Ham. He is very friendly and easy to talk to. I didn't feel pushed toward anything. First he got me a new year old 2014 truck to test drive. We drove for 1/2 hour while it was snowing and I got to test the 4WD feature. I loved the truck, but I didn't like the color. He went and got a 2015 in the exact color I wanted. He took me to service/parts departments and asked about a couple of options I wanted. Within a short time, we had made a deal and I drove it home; I would recommend you ask for Josh.

I was in an accident with a moose and needed a vehicle because mine didn't survive the crash.I went to charlie's motor mall and met with Joe and told him what I wanted and what I could spend.He introduced me to Mike and he went over a list of what they had in stock.Together we found a vehicle that fit my needs and they made the price work for me.That's one reason this was my families fourth vehicle from Charlies!Thank you very much guys.

Bought a new 2 door jeep . Dealer had already installed a lift kit, rims, goodyear mtr off road tires. Had nothing but problems with the Dealerships workmanship and customer service. Wrong lift kit was ordered and instaled by them. Rims began rusting after 7 months and they wouldnt go good on them. They sent the rims to a local repair shop for repowder coating but never rebalanced the over sized tires when they were remounted on the rims, which eventually ruined the tires. They got pissy with me over the phone, and basically indicated they didnt want to work on my new Jeep again. Soft top leaked when raining, and had 1/4" of water was on the floor boards. They claim this is normal, which I felt was the wrong answer. Not happy with their service, customer relations or any other department I have had to deal with. Save yourself the aggrevation and goes elsewhere.

It was March 15th 2014. When I walked in the Charlie's Kia dealership. I was not there because I wanted to be, I was there because my trusty 2003 Dodge Durango needed to be put out to pasture, and I needed, all be it begrudgingly, to find a "newer" but not brand new vehicle. The first person I met was Gary Goodman, a Sales Consultant at Charlie's Kia. I explained to Gary my delimma, why I was there, and not happy about it. Gary then said to me something I have never experienced with another salesman before, he asked me what I liked so much about my Durango that made me not want to part with it. I explained to him that other than the lack of car payment, I was not a "bells and whistles" kind of girl. I liked that it had 4 wheel lock, because I often drive to North Carolina and like to drive out on the beach, along with the 3rd row seat, for extra seating when they are up, but even better more storage in the back when they are down. I let him know the only colors of vehicles I was adverse to were white, and red, and that I liked Black with darker interiors, but absolutely NO wood grain because it caused flashbacks of my parents station wagon growing up, and something with under 40,000 miles because this was a long term investment. Gary walked over to his wall of keys for the vehicles he had on the lot and would pick up a set of keys, and then put them back. After about five minutes or so, he said he had one that he was going to bring around. He brought around a 2012 Kia Sorento with 36,000 miles, and an AWD (All Wheel Drive) but the first thing he pointed out was that it had 4 wheel lock as a push button (which was one of my "wants") It had the 3rd row seat that was actually split in the middle so you could have one or both seats up or down (which was my 2nd "want"), and it was black, and where there would typically be "wood grain" on the dash and front doors, it was like black granite stone. Not only did he listen to me, but he nailed it. After taking it for a test drive I knew it was a good fit. Of course the guy I worked with on pricing and trade in for my Durango left alot to be desired, I absolutely detest "hagglers" and Mark Coulombe the Sales manager at the Charlie's Kia was just that. Being a single mom with two kids and putting one through college, keeping my finances in line was definately important, more than once he pulled up a vehicle or two on the lot that would cost less, and when he asked Gary to bring it around for me to look at it, Gary said "nope, that won't meet her needs". Just goes to show you that sales managers are just in it for the sale. He even tried to get me to buy that day, and when I told him I prefered to go through a local credit union, he said "Why, you pay everything online these days anyway, so why does it matter?". Well he found out it mattered to me because I like to support local businesses! SO, If you are at Charlie's Kia, Ask for Gary Goodman, he knows how to listen to his customers and treat them right !!

Today was the first time I'd been in a dealership in a very long time. Our salesman was new but I found him to be extremely knowledgeable and accommodating. It took a very long time to get the deal done once we settled on a price but I don't fault anyone for that since there was only 1 sales manager working due to illness. I was impressed with the entire transaction and happy with the result.

I have bought 10 cars from Charlie's dealership in the last 24 years. 5 cars in the last 10 years. Most recently in December 2013 my Toyota Venza and Friday April 5th, Chevy Sierra.The professionalism has been first class every time. The sales reps have been very friendly and accommodating. Sales Managers & General managers, Financing officers, have been very friendly also. Charlie's makes buying vehicles exciting. Every time they meet my pricing/vehicle needs, I am astounded that they could get everything I asked for done!. I can't say that about their competitors that I have done business with.The service after the sales is on going. Took my Nissan in to have oil change and have it checked out for problems underneath. Was in a rear end collision in December and wanted to make sure nothing was damaged. Was smelling gas each time I started the car. This problem was fixed, oil changed and underneath checked out. Was told that I will need to have struts looked at in the near future but cautioned to wait until after pothole season has passed. I feel confident that everything was checked. I drove out of the garag and into the free car wash they provide. Very happy with my service.

Bought 2011 titan and from the start service was not what I thought. had break down with 40000 miles on truck, dealer says break down would cost 2200.00 to fix even though it was still under warranty. I took the truck to a different dealer and they fixed it for free. even gave me a loaner.

We purchased a used 2007 Jeep Wrangler from this dealership in June 2012. In June of this year we took it to Charlie's for our State Inspection sticker, along with concerns regarding the emergency brake and something commonly known as the "death wobble". They came back and told us we had to have the rear brakes redone, the front brake lines replaced, and the front steering assembly replaced in order to pass inspection, at a cost of almost $2000. We had the work done and within a week all the dash lights came on for ABS, anti-skid and ESP-BAS. When we called in regarding the matter they told us they were busy and could not get us in for almost two weeks, but that it was safe to drive. That weekend our vehicle was stuck on the side of the road with the brakes locked up. When we called the dealership to see if they could tow it in that said they could, but if they determined it had nothing to do with their repairs we would have to pay the tow charges. We opted to have the vehicle towed to them by other means. Three days later they called and said the caliper they had not replaced was part of the problem. They stated the repair was going to be $1200 and asked us to split the charges. Just wanting our vehicle back we agreed to pay $500. When the vehicle was delivered the invoice charges were only $650, but we still had to pay the $500.After all this we decided to trade in the Jeep for a new vehicle, utilizing a different dealer. We were shocked and angered when the other dealer asked us if we were informed the Jeep had been involved in an accident prior to our purchase and showed us the CARFAX report. We had specifically asked our salesman, at Charlie's, if the vehicle had been involved in any accidents at the time of purchase and were assured it had not. He told us that they were such a large dealership that any vehicles that had been involved in an accident were not sold on their used car lot, and were sent to their wholesale lot.We will never use this dealer again and would not recommended it to anyone.

Ya first off I seen a truck on autotrader.com that was at charlies it was a 2006 Dodge ram 1500 quad cab with 29,000 miles asking 18,995. Which was a great deal I looked around for a while and I figured I would go in try the truck out and if I liked I would trade my 2010 Toyota Camry in. Well long story short I traded my 2010 Toyota Camry in for the truck. I noticed the truck needed tires and a scratch touched up they said they would take care of that and put new tires on the truck for me. Well they put the price of the tires in my loan and I called and told them and they said they never were goin to put tires on the truck. I will never deal with this dealership again ever. I suggest you go to Southern Maine motors for your new and used vechicles if you want to be treated right.

Drove in, not really expecting to buy a new car. Saw one we really liked. Asked to see Andy since he had sold us a car before, he was very friendly he even remembered our names. It did not take him long to get the new car from the lot, put plates on it, showed us how the convertable top worked and explained other important things about the car "very helpful" got a great trade in price on my car, fast approval on loan, fast on getting the car ready very clean... Andy also took time to talk to us while we were waiting on the car and paperwork. When we got home my husband called Andy for touch up paint he was happy to help. WE received the paint within a couple of days. IMPRESSIVE ***** EXCELLENT SERVICE ***** Charlie must be proud of his workers in all departments They are "on the ball is how I would say it" From Madawaska to Bangor I only hear good stuff about Charlies Moter Mall. "Baggler" went out of his way for us. Very informative,experienced,& good at his job!!He's not pushy,he thinks of what the customer wants.We dealt with Baggler & Roger;very friendly.We are ONLY going to return to them in the fuure. Everyone we know ...we're sending there.I even posted on Facebook how happy we are,& how great an experience we had.We're sending everyone there.We have family that goes there already.,Roger went above & beyond in his position. He is VERY friendly,helpful,& spectacular at his job!We purchased a used vehichle there last Saturday. The experience was outstanding!!We got a phone call today Thurs....surprised & extremely Grateful! Roger had us come back in Thursday,to sign new papers !! He changed our loan origin.Lower interest,lower payments,etc. He helped us on his own,no other place in the past ever did that;...NOT even close!we are VERY happy! We can now look differently at the new/used vehicle business. Other places/employees give those a bad name.Words' can't describe how much of a value Roger is to your business!I'm also going to write Roger & Baggler a Thank You note. The staff here was beyond amazing. I started my car search looking for a newer used vehicle thinking I could get a good deal. However, I discovered buying new may end up being a cheaper option. I had settled on a great car for a great price at another dealership and my parents convinced me just to browse at Charlie's and perhaps get a quote from them to help lower the cost of the car I was interested in. My family has done business with Charlie's several times and I figured it couldn't hurt. They had a much greater selection of vehicles than I anticipated and the salesmen (Andy) were nothing but friendly, down to earth and honest (even informing me of some sales gimmick lies the other dealership tried to sell me on). When it came down to the numbers, they ended up coming in under my bottom line right off the bat and at no point were ever pushy, demanding or over bearing. I said I'd be back the next day, they got the car ready before I even left and never once called to ask where I was or if I was coming in, unlike the other dealerships which are still calling me to come back weeks after the fact that I told them I already purchased! Every representative was helpful and thorough in explaining the process and paperwork with me, which was important as this was my first car I've purchased. Andy was amazing and patiently went over EVERY option my vehicle had, demonstrating each and ensuring I knew how my car operated and had to offer before I took it anywhere. When all was said an done, the entire staff came out on the steps to congratulate me and see me off. A few days later I received a call from Charlie's and to my pleasant surprise, the service staff was calling just to check to see if the car was running okay and if I had any questions, issues or concerns. As I reside out of state this was comforting and reassuring that I made the right decision to buy with this dealer, I definitely feel as though I have become part of a wonderful family.

I liked the fact that Andrew handled everything. He never pushed me off on the next guy up the chain to talk me into something, and he didnt try to convince me that I wanted something that I was dead set against. In other words, none of the usual horror stories you hear about buying a car! All of my new cars in the last 20 years have been Nissan products because of the Family Feeling at Charlie's. Therefore, there was never any haggling about pricing, but on occasion dealers tried to talk me into dealer options or programs when I wanted the Nissan installed option and/or program. He did none of that, and I thank Charlie for his Great Employees. Thank you again for helping me with my Nissan purchase! Blessings.

I came to Charlies at the recommendation of a close friend who has purchased several vehicles from their family of dealerships. I was greeted immediately upon arrival by one of the salepeople (Russ). His greeting was warm and friendly. I explained to him what I was looking for and after his asking a few questions, he recommended the Nissan Rogue. It being very cold outside, Russ had me wait inside while he went and brought the vehicle up to the door for me. He was very knowledgable about the vehicle and its features. After a test drive I was certain that this was the vehicle for me. Russ gathered the necessary information from me and within just 5 minutes was back and introduced me to his Manager Sean. Sean went over the figures with me and was also very polite and professional. After a bit of negotiating, we came to an agreement on the price and Sean prepared all of the necessary paperwork for the sale. From the time I arrived at the dealership until I drove off in my new Rogue, only 1 hour & 20 minutes had passed. While I was waiting for the paperwork to be processed Russ took the time to show me the Service Department and the Car Wash which I was pleased to learn was free for my use at anytime as a Charlies customer. Upon completion of the paperwork, Russ sat with me and went over all of the features of my new car prior to me leaving. Buying a new car is not something anyone looks forward to doing. Russ & Sean made my first experience at Charlies a memorable one. I look forward to telling others about their great attitude towards their customers and their professional manner of dealing with me. I would recommend the Charlies Family of Dealerships completely!

I had purchased a vehicle (Saturn Vue 2006), in January of 2008, which was an outstanding experience. I have been very pleased with the vehicle, however, I am "upside down" due to depretiation and the payments are way too high. I came to Charlie's as this is where I purchased the vehicle and the dealership would stand behind me and "their" vehicle. I was SADLY mistaken!!First, that Charlie's will NOT stand behind their vehicle. Second, is that I felt as though I was treated as a "farm animal" sitting in a "pen." Andy dropped me off after a test drive in a Kia Galant, 2010 as this vehicle had the highest rebate. Jason came in took down all the financial information and I waited and waited. Jason did return sharing that either he or Andy would call when they have determined the financing. I left without seeing or talking with Andy as he made no effort to thank a customer for their interest in Charlie's. No handshake from either Andy or Jason, which I found to be rude and very poor customer service. Third, it was finally Monday afternoon with no phone calls from Jason or Andy. I called and asked Andy if he knew anything and his response: "Jason or I will call you as soon as we know." I called again later in the day and Andy had already left for the day, however, I did talk with Jason. I was not approved, which is okay, even though I had hoped that someone would at least try to help me with my present situation. I asked Jason why he or Andy had not called me and there was no reason. Fourth, at that time I also asked Jason to take care of discontinuing the extended warranty I had on my Saturn. I was assured that it would be mailed immediately. It has now been TWO weeks and I have received nothing. I have been involved in the auto business as my family owned a Porsche/Audi dealership, and another racing parts business, plus car racing, so I do know about cars and did ample research prior to going to Charlie's. The price of the Galant was almost $2,000 higher than other dealerships.The primary reason I am writing this is that I have never been treated with such disrespect as a person and rude customer service.

The guys I worked with at Charlie's worked very hard to make a deal that worked for me. I was in a newer vehicle and wanted to trade into an older one for reasons I won't get into here. The numbers were hard to work but they met my demands gracefully and really bent over backwards to make it work for me when other dealers were trying to really screw me over due to my equity situation. On top of it all they drove the car about 100 miles to deliver it to me after my credit union approved.

Dealership pulled typical bait and switch on very informed consumer!I researched an outback sport, accessories, sticker, dealer holdbacks, etc. Drove every subaru model twice before presenting an exact specification from the Subaru web site to nine Maine dealers. Charlies was aggressive, instantly matching the best deal I had and quoting well on accessories. Other dealers questioned just how good the deal is. So I questioned the deal twice and asked for the deal to have all paperwork drafted to "force the issue". Twice my sales person said that all numbers, features, etc were correct and final. When I called to finalized deal, only the "manager was available". But he assured me that he "was involved in all pricing aspects of this vehicle pricing with my sales person". So I proceeded to try to get the paper work done and the car delivered to me....Suddenly he needed to make sure everything was there "for my best interest" and to "make sure that "all the T's are crossed", etc. Well, guess what....1500 dollars more later, he found a few "mistakes".Would you do business with a dealer that bait and switched after I already tried to question the deal several times?Charlies was too aggressive to be true and confirmed it in emails twice...that amounts to misrepresentation to the consumer, outright bait and switching the deal or just having a lousy business model that can quote vehicles.Admittedly I was streamed because I had shut down my other deals that were close. The manager Brad, called me a "telephone tough guy" and that "Charlies had laywers for this kind of thing."I guess Charlies needs those lawyers a lot, considering my experience.

I had a horrible experience at Charlies Subaru. Doug Jurdacs hostile approach to sales and a singleminded desire to sell me a car currently on the lot instead of getting me a car I wanted made for a highly unpleasant experience. What is especilly disturbing is Jurdac's readiness to lie about his ability to get a car I wanted at a competitive price. I learned the truth at another dealer and I would encorage anyone who is considering a Subaru to drive for an hour in order to get superior customer service.
