BUYERS BEWARE!!! I have bought and traded cars for over 20 yrs and this was the worst dealership I have ever dealt with. The lack of communication and respect to customers at this dealership is appalling. The vehicle I purchased from this dealership broke down on the side of the highway in less than a week. I also bought and paid for a $1700 warranty for the brakes. Well apparently the vehicle didn’t actually qualify for the warranty they sold us so it was turned down by warranty company. We’ve tried for the last three months to get the refund and to this date have yet to receive it. All they do is make excuses after excuses for everything that has went wrong, which unfortunately is a lot. Thankfully I found Land Rover of Greensboro. They are very courteous have great customer service and treat you like a dealership should when buying a expensive vehicle. My only advice is that if you are willing to spend the money on a Land Rover then do your homework and compare the two dealerships and others for yourself. I sure wish I would have.

Terrance was great with help ordering parts. He made sure I was getting the correct ones and went out of his way to find a part that was considered to be on back order. Give him his raise! I don’t call Jaguar much but the few times I have, Terrance has been the best one!

Jacob the Sales Person at Chantilly Landrover/Jaguar dealership have exceeded expectations over and over again. He us helpful in so many ways, even after selling me by beautiful Jaguar . He response to all my questions and help with me maintenance set up and delivery of my vehicle. He makes sure my vehicle is fully charged as well. He certainly goes above and beyond his call of duty to help his customers. He will definitely have my next purchase and purchases of my friends and family.

I worked with Jake exclusively to buy a defender online and ship it to Colorado. He did a 5 star job in all aspects of the purchase including assisting with finding a private shipping company. We had a couple loose ends to tie up after the sale was complete and the car was delivered and his word was good as gold. I would not hesitate to purchase another vehicle from Jake.

I will make a long story short. i almost traveled to Virginia to buy a car that had a clean carfax but had been in a wreck. i feel the salesman (Richard) and the dealership knew the car had been wrecked. A mobile mechanic (auto analyst) saved me a trip.

Worst Use Cars salesperson ever - Amir Malik was helpful at first having a car I was interested in taken to a local dealer for one of my mechanic friends to check it for me. It's when I told him that I did not want to buy it, is when I saw a completely different person. All because it obviously had rear damage. Undercarriage was destroyed, trunk not lining up with bumper, and bumper missing clips. He immediately started yelling at me accusing me that I stole parts from the car. He told me that I was a waste of his time. Extremely rude and hung up the phone on my face. he threaten me if there were parts missing he would call the police? I was in complete disbelieve to get treated this way. I have a government job, I will not ruin my career to do such thing! Please beware from this dealer as I read other reviews on here that they do try to sell cars that had been in accidents, also NEVER trust CarFax 100%. not everything gets reported to them.

Ive been looking at a replacement car for the last 45 days and have test drove the BMW X5/X6M, Tesla, Mercedes GL, and the Infinity QX80. I was also interested in the V8 Range Rover Sport as a friend of mine really likes his.I had tried to look at Land Rover Chantilly (Virginia) in mid-December but there wasnt anyone available to assist us as both of the sales staff were busy with others. Given the Holiday season, I brushed it off and decided to come back when there would be less traffic. A few weeks later I stopped by with my family (wife and three kids) and a Salesman named Richard started talking with us. I had run into some bad experiences with other dealerships not having the model or the engine I was looking for. Every vehicle I looked at had high power (greater than 300hp) and at least the potential for additional seats (7). It turns out that Chantilly only had one V8 and none of the 7 passenger options in the Range Rover Sport (or Supercharged). Richard then tells my wife and I that it is a very limited option that nobody wants but we could order one if we really wanted. I really wanted to see it before putting in an order but I decided to move on.The next issue was some confusion on our part. I was interested in the HUD that is on modern vehicles and my wife had found a site indicating that it was available on the Range Rover. Richard immediately informed us that we were wrong (he had been working there for 26 years) and that it is not offered as an option at all. When my wife showed him the youtube video and site, he snapped at her saying that the site was in the UK and they have different options. Fair enough on the point (information is why you go to a dealership after all) but I felt like he was rude to her and could have handled it better. We asked if we could test drive the V8 and it turns out the only one they had was on the floor. It seemed to stress out Richard to have to move the vehicle outside. It took them about half an hour to move the car outside. I suspect they hoped we would just go away as Richard didnt even once stop by to check on us in the 30 minutes we sat there. Once it was outside, we ran into another issue There were five of us, plus Richard, and not enough seats. My previous experience with Mercedes and BMW had been test driving without the Sales person but Richard quickly informed us that we would have to do this in shifts as he had to ride with us. Okay, maybe there rules are a bit different at this dealership so my wife and I decided I would go first (with the kids) since I was the one that wanted to procure. It was awkward the way it was handled and I think Richard could have said something earlier. For the next part, it is important for you to know a bit about the location. This dealership is nestled in with numerous others in a circle that is about a mile in circumference. I started the drive and Richard quickly told me that I could only drive on the circle as they didnt allow any open road testing at all. I was stunned. I took the BMW X6M home for 8 hours (with the option of overnight). Every other car I had test drove, including the Tesla, was out on the open road. I told Richard that Im not going to make a $100K buying decision based on a ride. Richard turned red and said that his customers didnt want high milage vehicles and it had to stay in the circle. I obediently took the vehicle back to the dealership and Richard asked as soon as I parked if I wanted to let my wife drive it in the circle. I repeated that we cant make buying decisions like that without a real test drive and this time he snapped at me in front of my kids telling me I dont have to tell him again. He informed me that he heard me the first time. The tone and the red face silenced my children and embarrassed me in front of them. If the dealership has a policy of not allowing open road testing, it is their decision to make. I think that policy is a mistake but not enough to write this letter. Where it went over the line in my opinion was Richard snapping at my wife and I, embarrassing me in front of my children, and making us feel unwelcome at the dealership. There are three other dealerships in the area and my advice would be to make the trip into one of them (like Tyson's). I decided not to let a bad sales person ruin my experience and I ended up buying my Land Rover at a dealership that valued my business.

From the moment I sent an email request for information, Sean was extremely helpful. He walked me through the suttle nuances of the differences between the models. Sean afforded me every opportunity to drive each vehicle I was interested in. He was extremely honest, helpful, and patient. The entire team there was professional! If you are in the market for a Range Rover Evoque - don't waste your time with any other dealership - if you want the best, Rosenthal Land Rover of Chantilly is exactly the buying experience you deserve.

Thanks to Rosenthal Jaguar dealership in Chantilly for making my sales experience one of the best I have ever experienced. My sales guy Sunny was very honest and up front with me. I even recommended him to my staff in the office. As a matter of fact even the GM helped me to go thru the process of car buying a very memorable experience at this dealership which I have never experienced before at any other place. My car was ready as promised. Thanks to you all.

When trying to make and offer on a $50,000.00 XKR through my Canadian Dealer we received no call backs after they were promised we would. Sunny and Richard were completely disinterested in negotiating or even dealing with us. I have purchased many cars through my dealer and neither of us have ever been treated with such disrespect and dismissal. After not receiving call backs from Richard, when leaving messages that we would like to make offer. Out of frustration my dealer called and asked for the general manager so we could get an offer in. He was directed to a gentleman named Sunny who turned out to be a sales person not the general manager, we later learned. Sonny promised to call us back to discuss and offer and never did. We felt completely confused but also lied to. We were directed to a sales person when asking for the GM, the sales person never declared he was not the GM and promised to call us back and never did.The experience was so bad in fact that my dealer told me he had a bad feeling about the dealer ship based on the way Richard and then Sunny were conducting themselves. it was completely unprofessional and something we had never experienced with legitimate dealerships. My dealer's discomfort caused me to search for and read reviews about this dealer ship and I discovered that Sunny in particular seems to have misrepresented the truth to others as well. We are trying to buy the car sight unseen and ship it out of state, so trust and truth are imperative.I have seen where others were told the used car they were interested in or even purchased from this dealer was in great shape only to discover it had been in a collision and damaged. I only buy from dealerships that represent the manufacturer of the car I am seeking, hoping that the ethics of the brand will be represented at the deanship. This experience and those of others at this dealership make me seriously question this logic. I will be contacting Jaguar USA and asking if this is how they wish their brand represented even when dealing on a relatively inexpensive pre-owned Jaguar at one of their dealerships.

I reside in a suburb of Chicago and I was working a deal with this dealership on a Vapor Gray 2010 Jaguar XF Supercharged (last 5 of Vin 59821). I was working with Sunny, the sales guy and Jeremy Lustig, the general manager. Since I am skeptical about making such a large purchase for an item sight unseen, I asked Sunny for written confirmation that the car, which has only 32k miles, had no paint or body work. He assured me in at least one email that the car was in immaculate condition, with no paint or body work. However, Jeremy would not provide me with a written statement acknowledging the same. He also wouldn't give me a 3 day money back guarantee if the vehicle did not pass inspection by my local dealership. But he did certify the vehicle as I asked him to do as part of the deal. I know that vehicles that have been in accidents cannot be certified. So I thought that I should be ok. But I decided to contact a body shop in Chantilly to inspect the vehicle for me. WOW! I am sure glad that I didn't return the signed paperwork as I was planning on that day. The shop found that the car was previously involved in a wreck! The front and rear bumpers had been painted and every panel on the passenger side had paint and body work. Also, one of the wheels was bent and looked like someone tried to repair it with a hammer. There was also paint over spray on one or more of the windows!! I am contacting Jaguar USA to report these crooks. The car fax and auto check show no accidents BUT that means nothing. Both Jeremy and Sunny are liars and crooks!!! Attached is a copy of the inspection report. I sent the report to both Sunny and Jeremy Lustig so they legally should have to disclose this information to any prospective buyer of the car. Avoid this place!!! They will do and say anything to sell a vehicle.

They were initially easy to interact with but eventually when it came time to ship the car long distance and take my trade-in, they were less able to provide quality customer service. From poor communication skills about delivery scheduling and the car arriving without temporary plates and with the temporary registration being the WRONG NAME, I can't drive legally even drive the car! Very disappointing. All attempts to remedy the situation have gone unanswered thus far.

I recently purchased a new vehicle from this dealership. My salesman was Sean Z. Sean is a friendly and outgoing salesman. The vehicle I desired was not available at the dealership, but Sean's sales manager tracked one down for me at another dealership in the midwest. The problem I experienced with the sales department was a failure to communicate the status of the vehicle as it was being shipped. Nobody at the dealership could tell me when the vehicle left its point of origin or how close it was to being delivered to the dealership. Sean was not even able to tell me where the vehicle was being shipped from. I was able to discover where the vehicle came from after I saw the window sticker when it finally arrived. The sales staff does not make one feel welcome. While the front desk employee was courteous, she was also curt and non-engaing. When I visited, she seemed more interested in her cell phone than customer service. The other sales staff glowered at me and did not look happy to be there. This sullen attitude was pervasive throughout the main sales area. The finance process was uneventful. The vehicle was clean and fully fueled when I departed. I was glad to leave and will probably not purchase another vehicle from this dealership. In the future, I will use the Tysons Corner/Vienna dealership where I have had numerous pleasant experiences in the past with multiple previous purchases. After my first servicing, I will write another review. I am hopeful that the service department can make up for what was an overall unpleasant buying experience. Hopefully, your experience will be better than mine.

I was just there last week. I wasted a week of my life dealing with these people. I was searching online for a 2010 Subaru WRX and found that they had one in their pre-owned inventory. The pictures looked great and the price was in my price range so I made an appointment to go see the car and talk to a salesman. Oh man... everything was just wrong. Aftermarket parts everywhere (even the logo was missing), numerous rock chips/rust on the hood (couldn't see in the picture because of the angle), side of one of the tires bulging out, and get this... NO CATALYTIC CONVERTER. I could have bought that car and then turned around and sued them for selling me a car that wouldn't pass emissions. Ah, but that is not all. When I first went in they stated that their new discounted price was $22,995. That car is NOT worth 22,995. I tried to bargain with them (this was before I knew about the catalytic converter) and got $22,500. Then I said I would think about it and the next day the salesperson calls and tells me $21,700. So I went in to talk to them to see if I could maybe get the manager to come down. They then said $21,300 without the paint job or any touch up. I said okay thats fair let me go home and do a little research on the paint and what not. THEN the very next day I get a call from the salesperson saying that the price is no longer $21,300 it has GONE UP back to $21,700. Not only did the price go up but they also said that it doesn't matter if I bought the car or not because they could go sell it at an auction anyways. Furious, I went to the dealership so I could get an explanation of how their business is run. You tell me a price and then the next day the price goes up? So when I went to talk to the manager about the price going up, he tells me the car has no catalytic converter so for them to replace that the price is now $22,500. WHAT? The day before it was $21,300. Then the morning after it went to $21,700. Then in the afternoon it went to $22,500??? Why don't you just sell it for $50,000 while you're at it. What a horrible experience.Thank you, you rude and pretentious people at Land Rover of Chantilly for dissuading me from buying that car.

Really happy with our black Jaguar XF from Rosenthal Jag of Chantilly. Our salesman was very helpful in making sure we got the proper lease and paperwork handled in a timely fashion. We even applied Cilajet to the car interior and exterior at his recommendation, and it was very good advice. When we were approached to rate our experience with them, we gladly accepted.

This dealership even has the free shuttle for people who work. Not having to worry about how to get to work and pick up is a big peace of mind! The waiting room was excellent, clean and current shows to watch. I was shown the coffee machine and snack area immediately. Not many places will do that.Keep up the great work there! Everyone very friendly. I even like the idea of not being shown other cars to trade in. When I got my car back they had vacuumed and washed it too, they had noticed the months long dirt and grime on it. I don't think other dealers would have gone to that extreme to make sure the customer is happy.

QUESTION: Has this guy ever worked in sales before? BECAUSE IT HAS BEEN A BAD EXPERIENCE. BAD SALESMANSHIP. I WAS READY TO PURCHASE A CAR BUT WHEN I ASKED FOR THE SECOND SET OF KEYS I WAS TOLD TO TAKE A HIKE TO ANOTHER DEALERSHIP!!! MY FATHER OWNS A 2005 LANDROVER THAT HE IS GOING TO UPGRADE - BUT WILL NOT GO TO THIS DEALERSHIP. I WAS GOING TO BUY A NICE USED CAR FROM THEM, BUT WILL FOLLOW ANDREW'S ADVISE AND GO TO ANOTHER DEALERSHIP. ON YOUR WEBSITE YOU HAVE WRITTEN "one component that leads us to hire them can never be taught: customer courtesy." THIS IS FALSE. TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. THIS IS WHY I GOT UP AND LEFT!! Took a 2002 Jaguar in to have a pre-delivery inspection and diagnostic done before I purchased the car. The inspection cost $127. First time they found nothing wrong, save for a few minor things and recommneded I purchase the car. Purchased the car and then check engine light came on so i took it back to Rosenthal to diagnose. After an hour they tell me some incomprehensible BS about how they couldn't even get a code because some $3400 work had to be done. In other words they had no clue what was wrong and even suggested I simply change the oil to a "heavier" one. I then took it to a smaller auto shop who was able to pinpoint the problem in 10 minutes - the catalyctic converter needed to be replaced, among other things. Rosenthal has an incompetent service department who can't even diagnose or repair their own vehicles. The time and money it's going to take to fix this problem will be enormous and inconvenient.

I drove from Baltimore to buy a used Mercedes 500Sl that I saw on the Internet. The price was pretty good. I told Chalkey the car must be able to pass Maryland inspection before I buy it. He told me everything would be fine. The car was due to be delivered to me on Friday. The car never showed up and there was no call from them. I called the sales person Melanie Duke and was told it needed additional work and would be delivered Monday. It never happened. Again I called her this time threating to cancel the deal. She said Id have by Wednesday. It came that Friday. To top it all off it would not pass Maryland inspection. The sales manager Chalkey talks a big game but cant or won't stand behind his deal. A typical used car salesmen. Hes slimy. Melanie Duke is rude and has no people skills. Why would anyone hire her for a sales position? I will never buy anything from Rosenthal.

Very Disappointed in the experience. I purchased a beautiful, (barely) pre-owned 2011 XF Supercharged Jaguar over the internet. I was told at the time of sale that I could purchase a Jaguar CPO warranty for $2200 because I will drive the car +20k a year. After holding the car for 6 weeks (overseas military) until I arrived back in the States and also purchasing a rear-seat DVD system and Cilajet paint protection package, I was notified (on the day I finally took delivery) that Jaguar does not offer a CPO warranty for 2011 vehicles. Honest mistake, but they had 6 weeks to notify (via email) of this..........not the day I take delivery of the car! Next, the XF was listed with 8500 miles on it....it had 9150 when I took delivery! Then, when I took the car into a Colorado Jaguar dealership for tinting of the windows, they did a courtesy check and discovered that there was a factory recall for the 2011 XF S/C. Problem is that it had been on notice, from Jaguar, since December 2010! Why did not Chantilly check this before selling this car. Lastly, I emailed them to get a copy of the CARFAX report that I forgot to take when I took delivery......4 weeks later, nothing....even though they replied stating give us a few days! I love the car, but what BAD customer service. Lack of attention to detail and no customer follow-up after spending $60k+ at their dealership.

Bought a Lexus CPO from them, there was scratches and a dent which they said they would repair. Just to come back and make a appointment to get it fixed. I took it home that day, drove it for 4 days. Tire-pressure light came on, and the rear speakers started buzzing, with the ML system. I took it back to them to get everything fixed. I got loaned a crappy Kia, and they told me I would get it back in 2 days. They took a whole day "prepping" the paint. Said they would paint the next day.2 days later, they told me it was at Lexus getting the speaker fixed, Id probably get it back tomorrow.Next day, Still at Lexus, I will get it back Monday.Come Monday, still getting it fixed, and they said they would pick it up that afternooon to finish up on the paint work and interior, will be done tomorrow.Next day, oh they havn't gotten to it yet, will be done the day after.Same thing the next daySame thing the day after, still getting it painted, will get it the day after.I still don't have my car... Its been almost two weeks. Ive driven it a whole 4 days, and they've had it for 11. Meanwhile Ive already paid $250 on the loan for the two weeks they've had it. How many "Its going to be ready tomorrow" am I going to hear?I'm never buying my car, or having it serviced here again. Lexus/BMW Dealerships give lexus's and bmws. Jaguar/Landrover Dealerships with 60k+ cars gives Kia's. If I was loaned a nicer car, I might not be having this problem. But I didnt pay all this money for a CPO car, only to have warning lights come on in 4 days, and scratches that takes 2 weeks to repair.Never from this dealership again... I was considering their warranty, but I'm scared to think about how long they will take with a real repair... It could take them years with a engine problem.Ill mention, Sales people are nice. Service people are "nice" when they talk to you. Its when actual work that needs to get done, it doesn't get done.

I have a Jaguar XJ 2005. I didn't know how they would service my car since I had bought it from a different dealership. I was talked to honestly about the condition that my car was in and was very happy with what they recommended for it. The service was awsome and I ended up trading it in for a used LR sport and the trade in price was fantastic. I will be going back from now on. My family and friends will know about you all!

I searched out a very specific limited edition car, and it turns out this dealership was one of a select few that had the car for sale (it was a trade for a new Land Rover). BE CAREFUL -- this place is very deceptive in their pricing practices. After negotiating a sale price via phone ($27,500), I arrived at the dealership to find an advertised posted price of $25,999 on their bulletin board in their very own show room. When I asked about it, I was told it was a misprint in the local paper which had already been retracted -- but they eventually offered to honor the price. Went ahead an bought the car at the lower price, and since that time I have had to call 10+ times regarding title. The cars title was supposedly being mailed to me -- its been nearly a month and I still do not have the title despite constant promises of "we're shipping it out to you today via over night delivery". So far (knock on wood), the car seems to be worth the aggravation, but I would suggest proceeding with caution when it comes to this dealership. Especially when dealing with "Richard Gresiak". The pictures of the car (on their website) showed a car with snow tires -- when I asked Richard about the tires, he told me he used to work in the service dept and knows cars very well -- he assured me they were all season performance tires. After looking up the manuf/model# I informed him they were snow tires. He contacted the original owner and eventually got the original all seasons back on the car. What kind of service manager cant tell snow tires from all season-performance tires???Overall fair experience because the price turned out to be decent, but I would NEVER buy from them again -- BUYER BEWARE/PROCEED WITH CAUTION!

I was looking for a good reliable shop to take my LR to have its routine checkup, but I was worried that the wrong place will end up tagging a huge bill and I didnt have the time or money for that. A friend suggested I try rosenthal LR in chantilly. My experiance was great, they did the required mantaince and suggested minor work like tire rotating. The bill was very reasonable and it took them only half a day to do the whole thing. I was asked to rate their work when I picked up my car. I agreed happily!

I am from California and was visiting family in virginia when I needed service on my Range Rover before making the drive back. This dealer is such a pleasure to work with. They were so friendly and quick. Every member of the staff is exceptional and makes you feel welcome. I can't wait until I move to virginia soon so I can have an honest land rover dealer, very much unlike the ones in California. I recommend this dealer to anyone who actually wants the real Land Rover Experience and to feel valued as a Land Rover Customer. Thank you chantilly Land Rover for caring about the customer, a rarity among every other dealers throughout the nation.

Took my car to this dealership on a referral from a friend of mine and the advice was great. He told me these people really know how to work on cars, so I took my jag there and sure enough they fixed the noise that so many other shops had told me was "normal". I will for sure come back here for all the needs of my car. Rosenthal Jaguar.

I received the best customer service at this dealership. I feel good spending my money at a place that takes their time to train their staff on the cars that are sold, as well as, how to treat the purchasers. Prices was very reasonable too. If you are thinking about a Land Rover, then go to These guys or email them at Chantilly Landrover of Rosenthal.

I recently started taking my Jaguar XF to Chantilly Jaguar for routine maintanence. I would have to say that I actually enjoyed my time there. It was not very busy so I was taken care of immediately as I arrived and they also cleaned my car afterwards.

My review of Land Rover of Chantilly:I've used Chantilly Land Rover for several years now, and have always had a great experience! I've had everything from 1995 Range Rover to my new Range Rover Supercharged. I get the attention to details that my car deserves and trust only the very best mechanic who understands the intricacies of the Range Rover product. The mechanics at Chantilly Land Rover has shown me that they are experts.I do not take my Range Rovers anywhere else. :-)

I have always received great treatment and service from Jaguar of Chantilly, particularly from their service department. I have two Jaguars, a S-type (mines) and a X-type (my wifes), and we both like this dealership. It really helped that they offered me a complimentary loaner car while our car being serviced.

Recently I purchased a used Land Rover from Land Rover of Chantilly off of Ebay Motors. The staff was very friendly and answer all my questions regarding the condition of the car. When I finally went to inspect the car, it was as describe except for a few minor things that was overlooked. The manager told me that they would take care of those things since it was there oversight. After looking around a few more days, I finally ended up buying it from Chantilly Land Rover.

I would like to commend the service guys and mechanics at Chantilly Jaguar for their expertise in getting my Jaguar X Type repaired in a timely fashion. After taking my Jaguar X Type to several places and was told that the problem was very expensive to fix, I ended up at Jaguar of Chantilly and they took care of the problem and it did not cost me nearly as much.

Chantilly Land Rover is simply the best dealership I have ever gone to.The service is impeccable, very thorough and most importantly honest. They are very friendly and have a knowledgeable staff who are willing to answer all your questions and take their time with you.My salesman Richard make the experience a very enjoyable one as well. I even got the change to ride in the passenger side as he took me over the Land Rover test track. I was simply amazed at what the car could do.I got the car of my dreams and the service was just icing on the cake.

During my visit to Rosenthal Jaguar of Chantilly, every effort was made to ensure that I was enveloped in sheer luxury. I loved the fact that they let me test-drive a couple of different cars before I settled on one. The Dealership itself is charming and central to everything! The Dealership is beautiful, spacious, and tastefully decorated. The bathroom is large with all amenities. The salespeople are helpful and friendly but not annoyingly aggressive. You may access the Internet while the front desk prepares you a coffee or cold drink, and the salesperson gets your car ready for you to take home. I would recommend this dealership to my best friend.

I had a great experience at Rosenthal Land Rover of Chantilly. My family has purchased from this dealership before, and every time it's the same story: Great service and personable treatment. Richard Greziak searched everywhere for the Range Rover Supercharged in black on black that I was looking for, and he kept me abreast of the situation as it unfolded. He really made buying my first car a much smoother experience than I would have imagined. I would highly recommend this dealership to anyone looking for great service and a friendly, personable staff. Many of the employees have been there since they opened. I know that as long as I remain in the area, Land Rover of Chantilly will be my location for any future car purchases.

Yes, I would recommend this dealership. I just bought (May 2008) a used Volvo XC70 station wagon from Rosenthal Chantilly LR /Jag. I was given a very fair price (below the Edmunds TMV price) without much haggling, a new set of tires, a full tank of gas in a detailed car, and was dealt with politely, respectfully, and without any of the normal "sales games" that you can read about at other dealers. Richard, the sales person, even got me the original Volvo service records for the car, prior to purchase. I was surprised, in particular, when Richard dropped $150 off of the price of the deal at closing, unbeknownest to me, simply to accommodate the certified check my bank sent, which was $150 less than the agreed upon "out the door" price, even though I was completely willing and expecting to write a check to cover the mistaken amount on the certified check. Paul, the finance / paperwork associate, was polite, competent, and thorough. I never once felt rushed, cheated, manipulated, or pressured. The only hitch in the deal is that the new tires as promised were not delivered in time to be put on the car prior to delivery, and we will have to return to the dealership next week when they come in, but in consideration of the over all deal, the ease of working with Richard, and the manner in which they treated me, by far, this is the very best car buying experience that I have ever had.

After months on debating on what brand of car would be our next vehicle, we finally decided to buy one from Chantilly Landrover. Initially we sent an e-mail requesting a test drive and price quotes. Richard Grzesiak e-mailed us back within minutes. The price we wre given was surprisingly BELOW what we had initially planned on spending for a 2008 Range Rover. Almost every detail was taken care of by Richard before we came to the dealership. He found the exact vehicle we wanted with exactly the options we preferred in the a very difficult to get color... all within our budgeted price. Richard handled most of everything over the phone with the help of his Sales Manager Kenny Roberts, and his Finance Manager Drake Cho, took care of all the details of the purchase including the lease with such ease. All that was left was to test drive the Range Rover.Once we arrived, Richard made us feel very good about our decision. The dealership looks brand new and Richard gave us the grand tour. The waiting area, the service drive in are and the showroom was very well appointed and friendly. Richard introduced us to the service advisor Clinton Starkie who came out to meet us and gave us his card. Richard then took us for a test drive over their Rock Driving Course, which is quite exciting. He explained to us about the Landrover Way philosophy and even invited us to a off road test drive event sponsered by the dealership.I would definitely and highly recommend Chantilly Landrover if you are looking for the best experience from a class sales and service staff! If we had known how great an experience buying from Richard and his companions was going to be, we would have gone there much sooner!!Thank you,The Johnsons - Arlington Virginia

UPDATE, November 2006: I moved my vehicle from Rosenthal's service department to Curry's Auto Service in Chantilly.Curry's Auto Service in Chantilly ROCKS!! WOW, what a difference it makes when dealing with a reputable company that makes it their policy to take care of their customers!! Curry's is clearly a company that the warranty companies trust to provide accurate, honest assessments of repair needs.Curry's is replacing my entire engine, down to the spark plugs and wiring, with a new engine. My cost: the $75 deductible required by the warranty company. Rosenthal demanded an additional $3,500 over the $5,000 authorized by the warranty company just to repair the the lower crank shaft bearings!Read my earlier posting to learn about Rosenthal in Chantilly, Virginia:October 2006: Rosenthal demands $3,500 more than authorized in repair costs ($5,000) charges $600 to remove oil pan!!Rosenthal Chantilly kept my vehicle for three weeks (didn't even look at it for the first 1 1/2 weeks) in order to "diagnose" that the lower crank shaft bearings were bad. The service staff Kevin Dooley and Jack Seaver were entirely unprofessional, completely without scruples, and thoroughly alienated the warranty company and the customer. The warranty company authorized approximately $5,000 to repair the lower crank shaft bearings. Rosenthal's service rep, Kevin Dooley, informed me that they would require an additional $3,500 to perform the repairs. I asked him for a reason for the huge discrepancy in cost he stated the hours the warranty company authorized did not cover the hours it takes Rosenthal to accomplish the repairs. I asked him for the source he used (Mitchell's, Land Rover Warranty, shop book, etc.) for calculating the hours so that I could talk with the warranty company to try to understand the problem. Kevin told me his shop set their own rates and hours and did not follow any standard. Once I heard from Kevin that Rosenthal charges whatever they want for repairs, I contacted Rosenthal's Service Manager Jack Seaver to confirm what Kevin told me. He said Rosenthal sets its own rates and hours and does not provide that infomation to customers. I told him Rosenthal's policy was unacceptable and that I would immediately send over a tow truck (Friday morning, October 27) to tow my vehicle to another repair shop and asked if there were any outstanding items which would prevent me from doing so. Jack assured me that the vehicle would be ready in one hour since I had already paid for the "work" they had done. Rosenthal charged me five hours ($600.00) for their "diagnosis". No surprise they refused to release the vehicle to the tow truck driver. Here it is Monday morning, October 30. I just spoke with the General Manager of Rosenthal Andy Lavin. Andy told me he was sorry to hear I was experiencing so many problems and that there was no reason for them not to release the vehicle on Friday. He said I could send the driver back over this morning to pick up the vehicle and he would make sure there were no problems this time. Andy was very pleasant, though, he did not offer reimbursement for Friday's tow truck costs. More importantly, he did not address the $3,500 discrepancy in repair costs; however, I did learn that the service staff works on commission, so there is definitely incentive for their dealings.Luckily, I experienced this problem while I was in the process of purchasing a new RangeRover to replace this vehicle, a 2003 LandRover Discovery. I instead purchased a 2007 VW Tourag V10 TDI. I'm sure the loss of one sale won't bring Rosenthal to their knees, but at least I won't be on my knees when dealing with their service department in the future.
