Bought a slightly used 4Runner. Turns out, it only had one key. Dealer would not make another one. Very unexpected, I think the previous owner of this dealership would have made another one. 2nd car I have bought here, probably the last.

I don't usually write reviews but I was so disappointed with this experience that I think people should know about this place. I went to Davis Maus Toyota for a 10K service and I told them that my clutch was making a noise. The dealership set up an appointment to drop off the car on Wednesday which I did. On Friday I contacted the dealership as to an update since they did not contact me to advise me what the situation was with my vehicle, and I was advised that they did not know what was wrong with the vehicle. I was told that they had to run "some tests" to determine the issue with the vehicle and that they needed me to leave the vehicle for a few days. I asked if they would provide a loaner vehicle to me as this was a hardship and because they were not able to determine the issue. They advised me that they would not be able to provide a loaner vehicle and suggested I rent a car. I received a call on Monday advising me that another individual came to the service department with the same issue and they determined that this sound was "normal" and that I could come pick up my vehicle. After speaking further with the mechanic it was clear that they did not know what was wrong with the vehicle and because it was under warranty they have no reason to do anything further. In my opinion, there was no money to be made and they truly just wanted to move the vehicle since they didn't truly want to take the time to figure out what is wrong with it. This is a new car with 10K miles on it. This should not be occurring and I would think from a customer service point of view that there would be more concern than there has been. Finally, when I went to pick up the vehicle there was an issue that they did not have enough personnel available to assist me and then when they finally did assist me I was told they could not bring my vehicle around because they did not have anyone that could drive a standard shift. I am truly disappointed and would not recommend anyone to work with David Maus Toyota.

My test drive and negotiation process went well. However, the finance guy was EXTREMELY high pressure. He wouldn't stop pushing expensive service plans, despite my request that we just move on and complete the sale. I'm disappointed that an otherwise positive buying experience ended like that. Instead of recommending David Maus, I'd encourage people to stay away, unless you enjoy an endless hard sell on something you repeatedly say you don't want.

I was searching for a 2016 Tundra for a couple months. I contacted every Toyota dealership in the state of Florida, even a few in GA and SC. David Maus provided the best customer service in every way possible. They text me, emailed me, kept me updated on what they were doing to try and get me what I wanted. I told them exactly what I wanted, and even though they did not have what I wanted in inventory they brought what I wanted into the dealership. They went out of their way to get what I wanted while including the best price on the state of Florida. Couldn't ask for anything more... Aaron Cassell was the salesman that helped me through every step, he also threw in a bonus set of floor mats with my truck. Great guy Great dealership.

I had a bad experience this past weekend at David Maus Toyota as I was shopping with my daughter for a car. I am trying to teach her how to make big purchase decisions like buying her first car. We have visited six dealerships and test driven seven cars. David Maus was the ONLY bad experience. Our sales person, MJ was great. I have also used Glenn in service and like him as well. But the sales manager, Mark, was both rude and unhelpful. He wouldn't even give us a quote on the one of the models we test drove and he bad mouthed one of the dealership we were planning to visit. I found this unnecessary and unprofessional. This did not occur at any other dealership. We were told by an employee that David Maus sold this dealership to Berkshire Hathaway and they own over 100 dealerships nationwide. I bet David Maus would not be pleased with how they are treating his prospective customers. We will never buy a car from David Maus Toyota.

When I contracted for a lease in 2013, I had to stop the paperwork twice to get the price we originally agreed to. I still paid a little more for than we agreed but got tired of stopping the procedure for the third time. The dealership has changed hands so it might not be the same but, when David Maus still owned it, that was my experience. This was a lease, not a purchase.

We purchased our 2015 Toyota Sienna Sports Edition from David Maus Toyota in November. We had a fantastic experience with the sales team. Eddie was our salesman, and he is the most honest salesperson that I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with. He did a fantastic job of explaining all of the available features on the vehicle that we wanted. I told him exactly what I wanted and we worked at the price until I was happy. He was honest, real, and not pushy at all. I can't ask for anything better from someone selling me a car. The finance team did a great job of explaining all of our terms to me. They even gladly went over everything again when I came back a week later with questions. Not to mention our van. I drive a mini-van and it is absolute luxury. I parked next to a Range Rover the other day. I saw the interior and realized that the Interior in my Sienna had it beat by a mile. There isn't another vehicle anywhere that I would rather be driving than this one. I highly recommend that you check out David Maus Toyota when you a looking for your next vehicle.

I have had too many run ins with dealerships lately, and David Maus Toyota was by far the best experience! My sales person, Edwin Peralta, was SO willing to go the extra mile to make my impossible situation, possible. He was friendly, HONEST and to the point. His service level went far and beyond anyone I have dealt with in the business. I did not think I would be able to walk out the door with the car I wanted at the price I needed but Edwin and the team made it happen with no haggle. Amazing service!

David Maus Toyota was recommended to me by a friend who had previously purchased a vehicle from them. I found a used car that I liked and ultimately bought it. The frustration and disappointment comes into play because an advertised deal (gift card) with any car purchase has never been received. The Sales guy said they were out and said they would provide it, yet 6 weeks later, multiple phone calls and emails later they have now said they won't provide it. Hate to use their cliche saying, but they have not done Whatever It Takes to make a satisfied customer. All they had to do was provide the advertised gift card. Very frustrating and would never recommend anyone buy a car from them.

I ended up buying a Jeep Grand Cherokee, instead of a 4Runner. But, my sales experience with Josh Hallman was excellent. My salesperson was okay, but my biggest problem is with the finance department. First, I came in with a pre-approval from my bank and they assured me that they can contact my bank and send the car information there, but instead sent it to their own bank, which I absolutely did not want to do but am kind of forced into now. Then, they coerced me into a protection plan through MPP for a brand-new vehicle, and after reading all the documentation, I cancelled it within the correct amount of time, and was told that while my monthly payment would not change (which I am fine with), that my unpaid balance/loan term would go down. Apparently, even though the cancellation went through, the dealership denied that they got the refund from MPP (even though I called MPP and they confirmed that they sent the refund to the dealership), and said that even though I cancelled, both my monthly payment AND my loan term would stay the same, but my unpaid balance would go down. It doesn't take a math genius to know that that makes no sense. Either my monthly payment OR my loan term has to go down in order for my unpaid balance to go down, otherwise I'll be paying the same amount of money for the same amount of time, which makes absolutely NO SENSE. As a first-time buyer, just some advice for anyone else looking to get a car: it is absolutely not worth it to get a protection plan on a new vehicle. The likelihood of something going drastically wrong on a brand-new vehicle is slim-to-none, and most things that are more likely to go wrong can be repaired under Toyota's new car warranty. Second, if you are getting a new vehicle, it is good to consider GAP insurance, but NOT through the dealership. Go through your existing car insurance, as they will offer you GAP insurance for significantly cheaper. All-in-all, if you enjoy being deceived, feel free to walk into this dealership. I will gladly tell anyone I know never to come here if they are looking for a new car.

The purchase experience was very good. Second time in a year. Credit approval super fast, specially this second time. They listened my needs and budget and tried to fit in. At the end it was very convenient for me. Of course buying a car never wins, you always put a little bit more but if you get a reliable nice car and it work for your budget then it's worth.

Can't give a review as to the outcome yet because it doesn't seem to be over. One of the David Maus ads features him saying they want the experience to be fun fast and easy. So far it has been anything but.. I came in looking for an fr-s but when I determined that was too expensive for my budget I considered a tc. That's when the "fun" started I asked for a blue one as I didn't like rest of the colors. Well they didn't have one. "but we'll get you one. when I finally agreed to wait for one to come in then we started with the "negotiating". John calls in some sales manager named John (I believe that was his name) to assist. They low balled my Mini trade in (Kelly Blue Book lists it at 13,000) the best they would do was 11,000. Then they did this little scribble thing on a piece of loose leaf that is just too complicated to follow but I noticed 72 months kind of stuck down in the corner (where you might just miss it. I said no more then 60 months they finally said OK but then the interest rate magically seemed to go up. I kept asking for my key back and they just kept whining "oh come on we can make a deal". Anyway finally get my key back and John says what if I get you 2.4%. The wife said fine so I agreed. John leaves comes back and 2.49% I'm like that's more like 2.5% but OK. Now they want 1,000 dollars good faith deposit. Drew the line there at 500. No we need to wait for them to get the car from the other dealer. This was lat Friday. Tuesday I get a call from Joe they're still trying to get the car. Would I consider a blue one with leather. N0 I don't like leather. Well how about a different color. What part of No does the guy not get. Well now its Wednesday and we're still waiting to see for the car I agreed to. Possibly another day or 2. I'm pretty much over it but they still have my 500 dollars so I'm stuck waiting. Fun Fast and Easy not a chance.

We really took to Alberto right away. He is very engaging and listened well. He answered every question satisfactorily and if he didn't know the answer he went about finding out for us. He was very patient, never seeming rushed or pushy. He stayed in touch by phone keeping us well informed. He ended up having to go to Tampa to pick up the car. We found the whole experience to be excellent. Everyone had a smile one their face even though it was late in the evening and almost closing time. When we finally were given the keys to our new car there was Alberto with a smile on his face making sure everything was perfect. We hope Alberto wins! He certainly deserves to!!

I want to thank Tyler Maus for making my car buying experience a great one. Prior to even getting to the dealershio, Tyler confirmed our appointment time to make sure there were no conflicts. I wa greeted promptly upon my arrival. Tyler made me feel like "family" which was great since it had been almost fifteen years since I bought my last new vehicle, a 99 RAV4. Tyler took me to see all the 2013 RAV4's, and allowed me plenty of time to look at the different models and colors. Once I had decided on one to try, Tyler took lots of time to allow me to test drive it and let me become familiar with the vehicle since there are certaintly a lot of changes. He then took care o getting my trade evaluated, setting me up with finance and then getting my new RAV4 detailed for me. I even made him get in the picture they take at David Maus with your new vehicle, since he was uch a great guy!

I was not happy at all when I went in the first time to make this deal happen. A long story short......Your sales staff is strong! Jon Albino is bar none the best I've ever dealt with. In the car business and real world business. Having some one of his stature and charisma on your sales staff is beyond doing what ever it takes. I felt like I had a strong connection and was dealing with a caring,sincere individual who catered to my needs. Initially, we didn't want to go over our budget but with the great deal we felt comfortable. Furthermore, the only issue we had was the slow process. I'm still trying to understand the point of the online application when you have to fill out identical paper work at arrival. However, the process was great from beginning to end and by far the best environment to be apart of.

From start to finish Aaron Boyar made the experience of buying a truck from David Maus Toyota a great experience. What we liked the most was he was not a pushy sales person. Aaron is very personable and friendly. He listened to what we were looking for and did not try to push something else just to make a sale. I just purchased my 2nd vehicle from David Maus Toyota, a 2013 Toyota Camry. I had a great sales experience with my internet salesman, Jon Albino. He was willing to negotiate the deal via e-mail and they were able to match a price quote that I had gotten from another dealership. My previous Camry was stolen out of my driveway, and I really appreciated Jon and the rest of the David Maus Toyota team being easy to work with and make me a really good deal. I have also done almost all of my service with David Maus Toyota since I bought my first Camry almost 6 years ago. I usually work with Glenn Nidhan, who also provides excellent service and is someone I would recommend to others. Overall, I have had 2 great purchase experiences and continued great service experiences at this dealership and I would recommend to others!

My husband has bought several new cars in his life.Our salesman, Joe Ciappa has been better than a friend, He worked so hard for us, in getting us what we wanted and needed, he never gave up or got tired of our phone calls. My daughter needed a new car. After looking around on the internet, I saw where Toyota was offering zero percent financing on new Corollas. Since the Corolla was on her list along with Focus, Elantra and Cruze, that made our mind up on buying the Toyota. I got three Internet quotes on Corollas and David Maus was the lowest by $100 so we went there first. Our Salesman was Michael Santangelo. He showed us all the Corollas they had available and arranged a test drive. He showed us all the features of the car and answered our questions. Never once did he try to high pressure us to buy their car, What a great experience ! After we decided on a color, we went inside to close the deal. I had my figures written down on my phone and Michael went back to his Manager for us and we ended up getting the exact deal I was looking for. This was the best car buying experience of my life. I told my daughter they usually didn't go this smooth but then again, I suspect she will be a David Maus Cusomer for life so they may be. The managers from each department were on hand to share invaluable information with us. There was 112 people in attendance! After communicating with 4 Toyota dealerships without getting anyone to give me the info I needed to purchase a Toyota Camry, I visied David Maus & asked to talk to a manager. Tim came & listened to all my questions. Answered it all Then went to his office to work the payment on a Camry with the exact options I requested. He never lost his cool or respect although I did my best to come across as a jerk. When I counter offered ,he execused himself to check with another manager .came back & before long We agreed. The car was in another dealership,they brought the car to their inventory & I picked it up 2 days later. There was no hastle, No intimidation or disrespect. One last observation, the facilities are inviting and comfortable. After checking on 3 other local dealers, Chevy Equinox (too expensive and black interior) , Honda (EX) seats were hard, another Toyota Dealer but I decided to go to David Maus Toyota. I received the best sales experience, prompt service to getting a test drive, reviewing my car for a trade in (2000 Honda Accord with 70,000 miles) and getting a great quote on my first visit. I left to check on the Honda and found for about $4,000 less I could possibly get the Camry with the great seats, tinted windows, and clear coat., etc I went back to see Dave Rose and we came to a great price and it still came out another $1,.000 olff theout the door price. The ride is soo smooth and the engine is soo quiet. Lots of power in the 4 Cylinder and the ECO works great! . I also found out I didn't need leather seats and navigation since I have: blue tooth I can call for directions, a fantastic sounding radio, and I've been driving for over 2 weeks and the gas gauge is still half. It's getting great gas milleage even around town!
