I am extremely ‘dissatisfied’ with the service done to my car. I brought my Toyota Camry to the South Coast Toyota dealership for an interior wash service. An interior detail service, at a minimum, must include cleaning all carpeting and seating surfaces, and that’s what I brought my car for. I dropped off my car at 9 am and picked it up at 5 pm. My vehicle was polished, but the carpet and seats were just as I had left them and only vacuumed. Nothing bothers me more than paying 160+ dollars for interior cleaning to just have my car vacuumed and polished! I could have done the same job myself. If Toyota is not going to ensure that customers are given the best service possible, then they should not offer “car detailing services.” I left my car at the Toyota dealership for an extra day. I hope they wash and clean my seats and carpet correctly and not just vacuum and leave cleaner spots stuck to it as they did. This is the first time that I leave a review for Toyota as I am extremely disappointed. I am giving this Toyota dealership a 2-star rating since they did provide me with a complimentary car rental and offer friendly customer service. As far as the service and work, they should ensure that their employees do not continue to do a mediocre job.

I purchased my car and had it serviced here for 10 years. South Coast Toyota has been very easy to work with and has provided exemplary service. I've had good service and feel confident that they are doing a good job taking care of my car. It's been 10+ years of service so far and I'm very happy with them.

If you need service on your car, take it to John Nguyen! I had a previous issue with my brakes that Tustin Toyota could not fix. I took it to John and he really took the time to look at the car and find the issue. My brakes are no longer squeaking and my car runs great. 🙌🏼 I can’t thank John and his team enough!! Get your service done with him, you will be in good hands! 😊

It was one of the best car buying experiences I've had in a long time. Phil, in Internet Sales, handled the sale professionally and honestly. We had a digital "handshake" on the deal and we both held up our ends like men used to do. Your handshake is as good as, or better than a signed contract. I had my 10,000 service. The service advisor was very courteous and the service was very fast. There was coffee machine and the furniture was very comfortable at the waiting lounge. They still have the car wash unlike the other dealership they said they stop doing the car wash because of the pandemic. I will be back again

Got a LEMON!!! Not even a year old car, and it has been in for the service for 8 times already. When brought it up to the management, I was told they will allow me to trade in for another car as a favor!! Yeah giving me $18,000 credit for the car I paid $28,000. Extremely disappointed and this dealership is not taking an ownership to fix issues and I am told to contact Toyota Customer service.

This is an unbelievable story --that the service manager could be so inept about a car he services. I bought a Toyota Tacoma here a few years ago. i accidentally pushed the RR diff/lock button, a button that you would use if you get stuck in snow/mud. It locks the back wheels so they move at the same time and you can get out. When enabled, on pavement, the tires screech, which is what happened when i made the next turn. i googled and found out the icon displayed on my dash of 4 wheels with an x between the two back but no specific instructions on how to disengage it so i called the service manager here. He told me that i needed to flatbed the truck to toyota and they had to manually disengage the wheels, which he said bundle up as you drive when that button is locked.Finding it hard to believe that every time you use the RR diff/lock you need to have the truck towed, i asked a friend who drives a dodge truck. He said it's a universal button, and you just turn the car on, press the bottom, drive and within a few feet it unlocks. And guess what happened, YES, just that. Fixed. NO flat bed, no nothin.Why would a SERVICE MANAGER be so ill-informed on a simple button? So save yourself a lot of grief and deal with a dealership who knows their cars. If they don't know how to use a universal bottom that requires one step--imagine how well they will service your car. Just saying...

I was in the market for a Toyota Tundra and had shopped about 10 car dealerships to find the best price and when I talked with Scott Mitchell I knew my search was over. He was by far the most knowledgeable sales rep that I had dealt with in the 6-9 months I was searching for a new car. He really goes above and beyond what any other dealership was able to do and uses his expertise for the good of the customer. He tells you he's going to do something and he does it. There is no bait and switch like many dealerships get the bad reputation for doing. The process went very smooth and I couldn't be happier. I drove off the lot with my brand new truck after spending only about an hour at the store. Additionally, I bought the car on Saturday and wanted to take my car in to get the windows tinted on Monday. Even though he had the day off he called his service manager to schedule an appointment. I would definitely recommend asking for Scott Mitchell if you are even considering a Toyota. He will tell you his honest opinion and save you some money and time in the process.

Patrick was able to explain all the financial details to me and advise me which optional items (warranty, service plan, alarm, lojack) I should pick. I feel like he went above and beyond because after buying the car on Saturday he called me on Tuesday to sign new paperwork *lowering* my payment by about $40 a month.

The old bait and switch!! I wasn't expecting it here as Ive purchased 3 vehicles from South Coast Toyota and today would have been my 4th. I will never again do business with this dealership as a result of my experience today. Long story short, over the course of several in person visits this week, I was offered (and we agreed upon) a trade-in price for my existing vehicle (Tundra) and we agreed upon a purchase price for a new vehicle. When my wife and I drove down today to complete the transaction, they presented me with a trade-in offer for my Tundra that was $3000 less than what we had agreed upon, like it was nothing. Their response was Sorry, were not able to give you what we agreed to. WHAT?!? ARE YOU KIDDING ME? One of the managers (Michael) actually said to my wife and I sometimes we throw out prices in attempts to take your temperature and to see where your hot button is. Apparently integrity means nothing to these people. So, to Fred, Michael, Dennis, Brian and everyone else who lied to my facenice work, you just lost a long time loyal customer.

We decided to purchase the car because Gary was able to offer us 0% financing. My credit is not pristine, but they made the entire deal work. We paid very little down, got a great number on our trade-in (including being upside down on our loan still) and a beautiful new car with all the bells and whistles.

Gary had listened to us when we were discussing colors and features and used that to show us a 'fully loaded' Corolla in my boyfriend's favorite color.

I went to the dealership to look at a Scion FRS, because my boyfriend and I saw one on Top Gear and then driving around and wanted to see how it drove. We parked and Gary immediately chatted us up. He showed us the FRS, but it was too small for us (I'm 6' and my bf is 6'2"). Gary listened to us and showed us a Scion iQ as well.

I came to this Toyota dealership looking to purchase a Scion Frs. I was instantly greeted by a salesmen named Joshua and he was really friendly and helpful. He explained to me how scion has a pure price policy and that its the same price everywhere. I went to many dealerships and met many salesmen, but Josh was the friendliest and most helpful salesmen I've ever encountered. Next time you are seeking to purchase a Toyota or Scion car, I recommend coming to South Coast Toyota and seeking for Joshua.

I can fully, without reservation, recommend this Toyota Dealership but my endorsement is limited to my used (slightly) Toyota Tacoma purchase transaction with salesman Joshua Guzman. But it speaks volumes that a dealership would employ a salesman like Joshua. I had gone to the dealership to see a used Tacoma with more mileage than the one I ended up with. the one I went to see wasn't what I had hoped for. Joshua insisted that I at least look at the other one as it was within my search. He was right, it was within my budget and I ended up getting a far better deal/value over the long term. I did my research beforehand (great information is available if you bother to look) and determined the amount I was willing to pay for the Tacoma and Joshua went to bat for the deal with the usual "guys in back" and he came back with the deal pretty much as I wanted. I had been to many dealers and was very frustrated by most other salesmen who either did NOT know their product well or DID NOT LISTEN to me. Joshua DID know his product and did listen to me, what more can you ask for? The best thing I can say about Joshua is that I would recommend him to a friend.Be advised, I did not deal with anyone else or the service department (as I have not yet used them for service, and since I am buying a Toyota, nor do I expect to be in service very often) so my endorsement is limited to my interaction with Joshua. I would suspect good service from them, but have not had any experience with them yet.

I Recently paid a visit to south coast Toyota inquiring about a used diesel truck they had for sale. I was greeted at the dealership and shown the truck i was for unfortunately the sales person didn't have the information available like they promised me and i had to walk back and forth multiple times as i explained to the salesperson that i was an disabled Iraq and Afghanistan war veteran and that it was hard for me as if my cain and limp wasn't obvious enough. His respond to this was are you interested in the truck or not ? I was completely shocked and disquisted with this gentleman's lack of respect and tact in the matter so I asked to see a manager and was told that one wasn't available for me to do so. Not only was this a horrid experience for me this sales person had not a realistic clue in the world about the vehicle and was asking for a price almost 15,000 dollars above blue book i found the same truck down the street for 24,000 when they were asking 30,000 ridiculous as a marine veteran with 15 yrs of service 6 combat ours and a person the at knows market value on vehicles don't waster you tome with this dealer. this was a horrible experience i would never reckoned this deal ... just completely sad

My wife and I met Roger in sales and felt no pressure, and he was extremely value added. He explained the features and benefits of the Camry we selected and the advantages of why the SE over the LE. We were surprised over the fact that we were also invited to enjoy the Bar-B-Que Carne' Asada' lunch w/guacamole and awesome salsa. Mmmmm great! Alex in the finance was great because he explained in detail the terms of the agreement, and the options available to us. It had been 13 years since we bought a new vehicle, we were surprised how things in the car business have changed....Wow! These people are nothing less than great!

Roger was my sales consultant. He always seems to be there, he must never go home. He was very knowledgeable about the different Toyotas. Very patient as I test drove and then re-test drove different cars. There was no pressure to buy right then and there. All in all a pleasant experience.

Usually the car buying experience is less than fun, but Gary Alred at South Coast Toyota changed all of that! It was such a great experience. I love my new Trundra and Gary worked out all of the details and the managers Brian O and Bill B were great to work with. A friend had suggested I contact Gary even though I do not live in Orange Co and it was well worth the drive. The guys all worked as a team to find the right truck for me and gave me a fair price for my trade in. It has completely changed how I view the car/truck buying experience. I highly recommend Gary to anyone looking for a new or used automobile.

I recently purchased a 2013 Toyota Tundra, Crew Max, with a TRD package.I traded in my 2007 Tundra and after 110,000 miles in my last truck I knew exactly what I wanted.I got what I wanted and more, for less than I head expected to pay...The dealership put the Rims and tires that I wanted on the truck as well as did a leveling kit for me.When I bought my truck I had my 4 1/2 year old son with me. He had a blast getting free hot dogs, chips, and sodas.I thought the woman working the hot dog cart was going to take him homeThank you Scotty for a sweet looking truck.I am very pleased and cant wait to send people your way!!!

I had an amazing experience at this dealership yesterday. I had spoken over the phone with Scotty Mitchell because a friend recommended him if I was going to buy a Toyota. I went over the basics of what I wanted: price range, down payment, car style, etc. We set up an appt for Sunday morning and I drove down from Burbank to meet up. He was professional, friendly, personable, fun, and completely knowledgeable. To be honest, I was dreading the idea of having to get a car but Scotty made the experience fun. He was so patient with me as I test drove car after car and handled everything in a timely fashion. Before the end of the day I was in a beautiful maroon scion tc. I also wanted to pay a compliment to Larry from the finance dept. He was so great to work with, he even got my mom laughing. All in all, a great experience. I hate buying cars and going through the process. But the last 4 cars we have gotten, all from South Coast Toyota, has been painless, honest and actually fun. Scotty Mitchell, Brian O'Donnell and group has been awesome. Their customer service is off the charts and professionalism has kept us coming back. We don't even bother looking at other Toyota lots. I would highly recommend Scotty and Brian to anyone looking for a vehicle as long term customer service service is their goal.

After a year of research on the used vehicle I knew I wanted to purchase, I found it at South Coast Toyota. Working with John he was certainly in tune with what I wanted and my research. He was very accommodating in showing the vehicle, test driving and in the discussions. During negotiations he certainly made me feel like no pressure or games, and the finance person was also informative in guiding the financial discussion on the best way to handle extras, finance payments, etc. All in all I felt like everyone was speaking my language with no pressure from anyone. I didn't give 5 stars as the whole process took quite a bit longer than other experiences, but that's probably part of the easy going attitude; the take your time attitude. Thanks for the positive experience. I love my new car!

Bought a $40k pre-owned vehicle and here is what I got: 1 key 3 new tires and 1 three years old and half wornSerpentine belt that was cracked and had to be replaced (service did not check off on 160-point inspection box ... hmm)Battery acid corroded wires shows up a couple months after purchase (service checked as OK on 160-point inspection)What I had to pay:$150 new key$160 new tire$250 new serpentine belt$100 new wiring around batteryCrazy thing is, I work a few blocks away and would have gone to service my vehicle there. But I refuse because neither sales nor service would address any of these issues. Sure, it's a pre-owned vehicle but the fact that the 160-point inspection missed the belt and would not replace is inexcusable. One issue fix may have kept me going back there. Too bad for them.

If you are looking for a great buying experience South Coast Toyota is the place to go. My salesman, Tung Nguyen, was friendly and knowledgeable. He was very friendly and answered all of our questions he also did it with a smile so it helped to make us feel more like friends than clients. This experience was a great one. Also we as a family feel like we got a great price on this car and we are all happy with it. I would really like to make another deal with him and I would recommend him to other people.

Tung Nguyen with internet fleet sales exceeded all my expectations! Honest, prompt, reliable, straight forward, friendly, great deal, great price, and he got me the color and model FJ Cruiser that I had been searching for (Army Green, US option). He didn't play any games as I had experienced from some other dealers. Also, he never presured me during the transaction and it was a completely stress free experience. Michael Rice also deserves credit because he was able to get the vehicle in trade from another dealership which I understand is not that easy to do. Thank you for helping me realize my dream of owning the perfect FJ for my needs. Micheal Rice and Tung Nguyen went out of there way to make my new car experiece enjoyable! Normally getting a car for me anyway has been ardous and painstaking. I applied on-line and received a phone call in less than a minute! Hello am I still in California. We wait everywhere for everything! When I arrived at the dealership my lease was pre-approved, the car was clean and ready, and so was the paper work. My total time in the dealeship was 45 minutes. The last time I got a new car (also a Toyota at another local dealership I won't mention), I was there 5 hours! Micheal Rice and Tung Nguyen are honest, polite, professional, and quick. Don't bother calling any of the other local dealers as you will just be wasting your time!

Micheal Rice and Tung Nguyen in the Internet/Fleet Div. really took their time with us; never made us feel rushed; let us test drive several vehicles to help us decide on the best vehicle for our needs. We purchased the 2011 Highlander and we got a great deal. This was a really the best car buying experience I have ever had. In the past I have literally left my husband at the dealership to complete our vehicle purchases..I really hated it that much... these guys have changed my feeling about buying a car, it was painless! We will recommend these guys to anyone looking to buy a car!

In the back of my mind, I had somewhat decided to purchase my new Tacoma from a dealer closer to my home. I stopped by South Coast Toyota on a weekday night to test drive the car, when I left I remember saying to myself that I would like to give John Deloss, the internet manager whom took me on the test drive, my business. One day later, that is exactly what I did. John was very personable and genuine; I felt that he looked out for my best interest as did the various managers he introduced me to. Im glad I stopped by. If you are one of those people that like the "battle" and the back and forth that goes along with the stereotypical "car deal" then South Coast Toyota is NOT for you. John made the purchase very easy and the process was the way we would all hope for it to be. I said I wanted the car, he told me the price (which I knew was great) and within an hour Im driving my new car home.

The sales experience was one of the most transparent and easy I've ever had. I was working on a tight budget and knew what would fit my needs. The salesman who helped me worked through several options with me and I was able to get the Prius that I wanted for a price I was willing to pay. I only paid $200 over invoice! You can't beat that! I would recommend this dealer's fleet department to anybody that needs a car. The salesman who delivered the car to me was John Deloss and he is very knowledgeable and answered all of my questions. Louis Davies was the other salesman that helped me and explained all about the process with the finance department so I wasn't surprised by anything when I signed the papers.

Visited this dealer in search of a 2009 Sienna CE that qualified for the rebate/low APR. After our test drive, we sat down to negotiate the numbers, and could not get anywhere. The salesperson (Daniel) kept on insisting that we raise our numbers and yet, he showed NO EFFORT in bringing down the number. I didn't think the deal was going anywhere so I ended the negotiations and left.The next day, we were in contact to discuss any other possibilities, and at that time, I learned the 2009 models for the rebate were no longer available. Daniel offered to sell the 2010 model with the same options at only $200 more than the 09 model price that I wanted to purchase the Sienna for. I accepted the quoted price, and Daniel said he will only have to run it by his fleet manager. We were to resume our conversations the next day.The following day, I called early (10 AM) to set up an appointment to finalize the deal. Daniel stated that he was with a customer and that his fleet manager was busy as well; he promised to call me back with the details. Several hours passed.It was 7 pm that evening that I finally called again, and left several messages (for Daniel could not be reached). I called the operator and asked for another salesperson. It was Phil who got the call, and I explained the situation. Phil promised to look in to it and have Daniel get in touch.It has been THREE days past, and still I have not gotten my phone call from either of the two: Daniel and Phil. I ended up buying at a different dealer.VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. LOW QUALITY OF SERVICE.

I was there for a Camry SE and everything was ready to go. Upon inspection, the hood latch was detached, there was a noticeable scratch on the back bumper and a big scratch on the front lip on the underside. Additionally, the car had been on the lot for over a year, so the battery was low. First I asked for the back lip to be replaced and he said that they don't have any replacements in stock. I asked for a discount and he wouldn't budge, so he walked back to his office to talk on the phone while my brother and I inspected the vehicle from outside his office (where he could see us). About 15 minutes later he comes back and takes the car keys away and locks the door after I tried to talk to him about another discount. He said to go to his office so we can finish the deal. About 10 minutes later as my brother and I were deciding on what we wanted to do, I guess our salesman had become tired of waiting so I assume that he sent another guy out to rudely move the car and park it. We walk in and he says they took it away because someone else is looking to buy it. I was angered at the high pressure sales tactic that was being used and walked out. Sure enough, the car that's been sitting on the lot for one year is still unsold since he called me back the next day offering me a $300 off discount. DO NOT go to SC Toyota. They are small and they play games and use unethical high pressure sales tactics to trick you into buying. I surely will not buy from them nor would I ever recommend them.

STAY AWAY from Toyota South Coast. A few months ago I decided to buy a 2007 Highlander and went to Toyota SC. Believe or not, during all the conversation the sakes guy simply refused to let me know the price of the car. Every time I asked, he would ask me back how much I'd be willing to pay monthly. It got to a point, where he said he could only give me the price if he ran my credit. What an idiot. He seemed more interest in financing the car then selling. Reading the previous review I understand why. In the end I just decided to stand up an leave. This was, by far, the worst dealership experience ever. All the time I had the impression that that was some kind of scam. Anyway, I decided to go to RSM Toyota dealers, and the experience was just the opposite. The internet sales person gave an online quote, and he kept his word when I got there. If you live on South CA, you definitely should check RSM Toyota

Sold me a car on the lot that was already sold. Had to wait over two weeks for other car to come in. Then they other people in it, and was trying to get me to back out because they had someone that would pay an additinal 5K for it. And it also wasn't the same car that I was suppose to be getting, and when I asked for the stuff that was missing, I was told that they were already giving me a good deal on the carand that they couldn't lose money. I wish now I had cancelled the contract, but I was so angry that they were pulling this crap, to make an extra 5k off of someone else. I also think the alarm that I paid for isn't actually on the car. We have tried to no avail to set it off. General Manager gave me 2 free oil change coupons, one of which got lost so we only got to use one of them.

The dealership lied to us about the APR we were getting and also sold the car to someone else after they promised it to us. The APR we were quoted was 12.7% at 60 months, for a Camry bought for $15700, after tax and licensing, and after the initial deposit. So the total loan amount would be $15700. They told us our monthly payments would total $413 for 60 months. But later, I doulbe checked at the APR at $413 a month would be 20.5%, not 12.7%. Also, when we were about to sign the deal, some other guy sold it to someone else, even though they told us the day before that the deal was done and we were going to get the car and had already been pre approved. BUNCH OF CROOKS, STAY AWAY!!!!
