Currently at jiffy lube and they advise that an oil changed can’t be completed bc when the last one was done things were striped. Called Akar Auto Sales & Service and spoke to the rep who sold me the car Mark and advised. Also advised that the car continues to unfold with issues that should have been addressed during their inspection of the car before putting it for sale on their lot. Mark was sympathetic and apologized for the way I had been treated at their establishment bc he “did not agree with how I was treated”. Hung up to handle things with the jiffy lube. They were able to fix the mess and do the changed. Called A-KAR AUTO SALES INC. back and spoke to JESSE the owner. After he called the techs at Jiffy Lube kids, we scheduled for me to bring the car in on Wednesday. I reiterated to him the prolonged amount of time it has taken to get this vehicle in an appropriate condition. I advised him at that time that if we are not able to fix all of the things that are wrong with the car then I would want my money back. At this time the owner, JESSE, began to become frustrated, speak loudly Repeatedly asking if I was bringing the car Wednesday after this was already confirmed. He would not discuss Returning my deposit since this is the third time coming back for the same issues with the car. #badbusiness #auto #usedcars #newjersey #monmouthcounty #middletown The WORST car buying experience in my life. Jesse and Ehab were consistently unprofessional and Jesse advised I should blame the governer for my car repairs not happening, although a week after purchasing the car it had to be in the shop for 3 weeks And came out with the same issues!!!! I was advised to bring my car in today and apparently the offices don’t communicate with each other. After being told I would get right in, I was advised, by Jesse, to “sit down and wait for a couple hours”. I went next door to get the rep I spoke to and he confirmed what I said. JESSE continued to not acknowledge that the lack of communication was on the part of his team and not the customer. He proceeded to raise his voice and compare me to other customers. He pointed in my face and aggressEd towards me. Never have I ever been treated so awfully. I’ve put in a request for a full return of my deposit and I’ll return there lemon of a car to them. DO NOT GO HERE!!!!! ESPECIALLY IF YOU ARE A WOMAN SHOPPING ALONE!!!!

Car was filthy with dog hair. Knocked off some money for detailing but far worse than expected. Car needed a pump after I purchased but they fixed it free of charge. Not the best place but not the worst. Appreciate the fix.

BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE I would give zero stars if I could. Mark is not only slow with everything he’s also incompetent, he sold me a ford five hundred and told me it was a diamond in the rough, acted like he was giving me a great deal when in fact he sold me a car not safe for the road. At first when I mentioned the squeaking coming from the car when turning he assured me with 100% certainty the fix would cost about 150$ total and that the issue was not a big deal. Turns out it was a huge deal and he was completely wrong, attached are pictures of the subframe of the vehicle completely rusted out and one bad pothole away from completely ruining the car. There were brand new brakes in the vehicle which means he had his incompetent mechanics fix everything except the biggest problem the car had. This is complete unacceptable! When trying to reach Mark again about bringing the car back he would not answer phone calls or text messages and after driving two hours to bring the car back I wasn’t even give the decency of an apology or any admittance of fault on their part. He couldn’t even look my way and had another salesman cut me my check for a full refund. Poor excuse of a salesman and even worse excuse of a man! If you’re going to sell me a death trap at least own up to it! Please beware when buying from this auto dealer as they are known for doing sketchy things like this to countless others. They cut me a check as soon as I got there for the full amount leading me to believe I was not the first person this happened to. Buy your next vehicle from the countless other dealers on the same road. Dude that cut me my check was kinda cool tho ngl

I came in as a first time buying i knew that car i wanted and came in, mark answered all my questions i had without hesitation, there was problem i pointed out and he took care of it, he was very understaffed because of COVID, that didn’t stop him from helping me through all of this, it was very hard finding a car i liked let alone able to walk away with, having no established credit was a fear i had walking in, without hesitation he began working on number that i could actually afford, just wanted to say thanks for everything, i love my car, definitely be back again !

Great selection, prices are fair and staff is knowledgeable and very accommodating.
