BUYERS BEWARE! DO NOT GO HERE! These guys are very unprofessional and run a shady business. The car I purchased needed a certain part and the finance manager promised me the extended warranty I purchase would cover it when the time came. He said he just attended this extensive class on this new warranty and how great it was. Went to go fix it and it's not covered. They won't own up to this and told me I was xxxx out of luck. Will NEVER go back there. If you like being lied to by all means this is the place for you.

I would avoid this dealership. My husband and I recently bought a used 2014 MDX and did not have a very good experience buying from them. We worked with the sales rep Adriano Polanco, who was just not friendly, or knowledgable. Seemed inexperienced and would recommend he go to some kind of sales training on the correct way to speak to customers. A week after purchasing the car, the driver 1 key fab battery died. Had to go back to get replaced. Two weeks later recieved a call from the finance manager saying they did all the paperwork wrong for the loan. Had to go back in and re-sign correct paperwork. And then a week later the driver 2 key fab battery died, so we had to go in once again. All of this was a huge inconvenience and could have all been avoided if Acura Bostob had more attention to detail. Turns out, after receiving all the paperwork from the bank, it doesn't even match the 2nd paperwork we signed. Not sure why it doesn't match and had emailed the finance manager asking why. We never recieved an answer back, so finally called and was told that finance manager doesn't work there anymore. You would think if someone recently left, management would be checking their email, but I guess not, Also, we had recieved an email saying we would get a survey to complete about our experiences but somehow never actually recieved it..... Overall extremely disappointed in the service and would never buy another car from Acura Boston.

My husband and I needed a new (used) car so we checked out Acura if Boston. We were greeted with a smile and our salesperson was Cardinia Gates, who was awesome! She new exactly what we were looking for, and after looking at a few, we ended up eventually choosing the first car she had suggested. The process went smoothly on their end and we were able to pick up our car shortly after. Bernardi offers a great warranty program that is definitely worth the money. Everyone was friendly and easy to talk to. Cardinia was extremely easy to contact and very fast at responding, and made sure everything was ready for us when we went to pick up our new car. Great experience!!!

Car has defect and know one wants to acknowledge it. I been there about 7 times with a new 2016 TLX. Once the car is sold they can care less. They don't stand by the product they sell. Before you buy a Acura 2016, look at the rear view mirrors. It causes a reflection of your AC Vents. Its hard to drive when your car isn't safe. Do research online as well with "TLX AC mirror reflection". This isn't a safe car.

I traveled 60 miles to check out a 2013 Chevrolet Camaro and as soon as I walked into the showroom and met Kevin it was worth the ride. Next he introduced me to Richard Cordner he was very personable and very polite. He put the plate on the car and we took it for a ride I loved it and we proceeded to come up a trade in price and a selling price. That's when Curtis stepped in and made this deal possible. I would not hesitate to send family or friends to Acura of Boston and get together with Richard he is a valuable asset to his profession.

I had the last year Acura Legend made in 1999 for seven years and have been a fan of Acura of Boston ever since. Many models later for various years of ownership time lengths i now lease a a 2016 TLX. I looked at other car makes and models and came back to an Acura. Perry Wong is back as the manager which made the experience easy and less nervous for me. Knowing Peter Mark will be in charge of my service for the next three years is comforting as well.This was the first time i worked with Dumitru Moisei and he showed me the pros and cons of ownership versus leasing. We went with leasing my new TLX. The pick up process and the consideration in my slowness to learn all the "NEW" features of the car was not discouraged by Dumitru.He has knowledge and kindness for a person new to the workings of a car. I am still getting used to the fact the key does not have to be inserted into the car from my last TL !! Dumitru kept in phone and email contact the first few days of my new car. I am a loyal Acura of Boston client and most likely always will be. But i still like my bicycle!!

Worst experience i ever had with a dealership. Went in to look at and buy a certified pre-owned 2016 ACURA RDX. Unfortunately, it got sold while i was taking to the sales person. While i was leaving, the general sales manager (Curtis) comes with a sheet that had the breakdown which included the car selling price(which was 1000$ more than true car dealer) my trade(which is couple of thousand dollars than kbb), taxes and fees(another 1700$(this is taking out the trade tax amount)) and everything in there coming upto 37000. He kept giving me numbers starting from 37000 to finally 32500.I was really was looking to change the car. I had to think about this so i left the dealership and after a couple of days when send an email to confirm that 32500 is the final amount, suddenly the sale manager takes a complete U Turn. He takes 3 days to get back to me and say taxes and fees are not included. And on top of it, since i have been trading in my car, the taxes for the trade amount should be taken off, but he says no. I have to now pay taxes for the whole 32500. So he now comes up with a figure 34500 and that too only if i am financing with ACURA(because acura will give 1000$ as down pay if financed through acura and 750 rebate for trading in a mercedes). Completely bizzare!! Why trick me into something that you cannot offer and waste my time.Never will i recommend anybody to this dealership. They will just trick you into a deal and if you don't ask and read through your offer and everything, there is a high chance that you will be paying more than what you think you are.Never will i go back. No good at all!!

The dealership messed up my title information. Inspite of me providing them all the documents before hand and stating very clearly that I have financed from DCU, they did not state DCU as the primary lienholder during title registration. I was handled by 2 different managers who never talked to each other before submitting my case to one another. I finally got a cal from a third manager who said that I would have to visit them again with my title documents so they can rectify their screw up. The funny thing is that he came to know that Acura has messed up when he was closing the books for the month. So, he was also not informed by any of the previous managers of the situation.

He is clearly well informed and among the most personable sales professionals we have worked with in the auto industry. His knowledge of Acura of Boston's complete inventory and of the RDX in particular was impressive. After a thorough test drive, Randall showed great patience, had useful advice, and a wonderfully non-aggressive demeanor as we sorted out colors and option packages. Once we had agreed on a price, we discovered that we did not have enough time to complete the process. Randall volunteered to come in the following morning (which we later learned was his scheduled day off) to wrap things up. When we arrived at 8:30 he had the car all ready, including the added options. He did a great job setting up and familiarizing me with all of the electronics. I think I know more about the functionality of this new RDX after his tutorial, than I knew about the Acura TL that I had just traded in after several years of very satisfied ownership. He is a great ambassador for Acura and any dealership or Customer would benefit by his professional customer service. As we were driving off the lot in our beautiful new RDX, I noticed in the rear view mirror, Randall running to catch us. I had left my FastLane transponder in the turned in vehicle... Randall's sales manager, Curtis Hamilton, was also terrific to work with.

Went to purchase an Acura RDX. Sales and finance personnel were horrendous. Sign all documents and put cash down for vehicle and thing went well.. The next day I went to swap my trade in and take the keys to new car, The finance refuse to give me my vehicle stating I would need to put more cash down in order to take vehicle home. I refuse to put any more cash down since and then the finance manger Jose come telling me that I'm better off taking my business else where.. After 6 long hour there arguing about the sudden change finally got the car home after my husband had to leave work and speak to them.. When service time came made an appointment of 1 week in advance for 9am. Took car in a 9am for oil change and mirror adjustment, vehicle was not release until 130 pm.. Services excuse was that a associate call out sick and many other clients came in all at once. An oil Change and mirror adjustment does not take 4 hours and 30 min to do. --------Was ask to bring vehicle back to fix the mirror as a courtesy for the misfortunate service experience. Agree to bring vehicle if the rental came with the same space complicity to use since the children had a soccer game over the weekend. Service manager Eddie agree stating a Suv rental would be reserved. Went to pick up rental and there was no suv. The sales and service department is inconvenient and full of excuse. Worst customer service.

recently my wife and i were searching to buy an acura mdx. We made an appointment at our convienence to test drive the car we were interested in and it was warmed up and waiting for us when we arrived . Our salesperson randall matthews was waiting with a smile and a handshake . Randall then proceded to go over the extensive list of features and functions of the specific model we were going to drive . He was very informative and well versed right down to the smallest details . At that point we realized that we had chosen the right dealership for us . After the test drive we sat down with randall and discussed pricing for possible purchase . My wife negotiated back and forth several times to get the best deal . At that point the general sales manager came over and introduced himself and took a seat at the negotiations. After a few minutes we were able to come up with a price that worked for us and the deal was done . The finance guy was excellent and within a half hour we were done with the purchase . Upon picking up the car randall sat with my wife and gave her some instructions on how to operate all of the technology and functions which was quite detailed and informative. As a whole it was the best experience ever for purchasing a vehicle. I will talk highly to anyone interested in an acura to go to Bernardi acura of boston !

After many many years of being a Mercedes owner it was time for a change. A friend of mine told me to go check out Acura and on a early Saturday morning I did just that. I had the pleasure of working with Dumitru from the dealership. He was a very nice and polite but not only that he did not do any aggressive or pressure sales. He took the time to explain the difference between a lease and owning and the pros and cons of both. I always owned a car and the lease option was intriguing to me after a few hours of showing me all of the different lease options we decided to go with that. The thing i liked most about him was that he was patient and also took the time to explain all of the different options as well as educate me in the pros and cons. I would highly recommend if your looking for a no pressure straight shooter then this is the guy to talk to. I was presently surprised.

I purchased a 2016 Acura RDX Technology Package with the Acura Watch in October. I haven't owned an Acura before and I haven't purchased a vehicle in the past 10 years so I was a little nervous and didn't know what to expect. I went to Acura of Boston because of good reviews and I worked with Steve Santos. He was very knowledgeable when explaining the features of the car and he was very friendly to work with. The managers were all great and Kevin made me feel comfortable that I was making the right choice. I was looking at the new TLX at this dealer and the other one in Auburn. I was looking for a black on black. Auburn did not want to locate one for me and one call to Acura of Boston got the ball rolling. I arrived and met a few of the guys there: a couple of other sales people: Billy and Randall who pointed me in the right direction of my salesperson: Ed Mertins. What an awesome experience here. They all made it so easy for me to pick up my dream car. sales manager - (I believe his name was Mohammed) and the business manager - John also helped a ton to make this deal happen for me. I have been driving the car for about a month now and I love it. I'm glad I got the 4-cylinder version. The dual clutch transmission Ed was telling me about is super smooth. also, thank you Ed for helping me set up the bluetooth on my phone too. Also, two of the technicians actually came out and asked me if I had any questions on my new car! WHO DOES THAT?! I'll tell you: Boston Acura! Danny Chew and Willie Moy are the techs that came out to make sure I understood the vehicle and offered their help if I ever needed service from them. They advised me to come in for my first oil change on time, I know it's simple, but life happens and an oil change is not on the forefront of my mind. thanks for the reminder Danny!Thank you entire Boston team!

This is my first lease which I had no intention of doing. Randall was very helpful in my choice of vehicle and pricing and with the decision to lease vs buy and knowledge of the vehicle. He is a great asset to your organization.I did have a problem with the receptionist when I needed to contact Randall regarding delivery of my car the next day after speaking with him she told me he was not in the office which I knew he was (again i had just spoken with him) then she transferred me to his vm. She is not a very nice person and if she is unhappy at her job should consider retiring as she doesn't do it very well. This is not fair to customers trying to get in touch with their sales person when it's very important, which in my case it was.

Our experience with the purchase of automobiles is generally a very stressful and unpleasant experience. We had been to several dealerships working with a short list of critical issues most important of which were ample leg room, comfortable larger seats and automatic transmission. Upon arrival at Bernardi Acura of Boston we were greeted by Ted Poulos and brought into a very bright and open showroom. As we had an appointment Ted brought us cold water while we waited. As it turned out Ted became of sales consultant. What a great experience. He guided us thru the test drive, initial negotiations and working with Travis Mccarthy, Manager a mutual agreement. As I needed a bank check and it was late in the day Alex the finance manager was able to obtain license and registration b4 5pm. Ted Poulos again gets a high 5 as he noted a high fan noise and it was brought to the attention of Travis. Immediately it went to the repair pros and the problem was a leaf has lodged into the blower. No one wanted us to leave unsatisfied. Ted Poulos sat with us until the vehicle was 100% and we honestly have never had such a pleasant experience buying an automobile. We highly recommend Bernardi Acura of Boston and Ted Poulos. We will return on our future purchase.

We were in immediate need of a car and spent two weeks looking at a number of similar brands at a number of different dealerships. Our frustration was building as we knew that the deals being offered were well above what is nationally reported. But we were not about to be taken, We then decided to try Acura of Boston, were we purchased our initial Acura, even though it was quite a distance from were we presently live. I was amazed that without any negotiation, their first offer that they brought to the table was the offer I was looking for. It was well below the offers we received at other Acura dealerships for the same model with the same option package. Everyone that we worked with was pleasant and accommodating to our schedule and needs. This is the second Acura I have purchased from Acura of Boston. Next time it will be the first place I go to when looking for a new car.

I've always dreaded buying a new car which is why I usually drive my cars into the ground before committing to a new one. I've tried different dealerships in MA and walked away from every one of them without a car. I decided to give Bernardi Acura a shot especially because I really wanted an Acura RDX. As I walked into the dealership, I was greeted by Ted Poulus, who I believe is probably the nicest human being on the plannet. Very quickly he was able to shatter all of the stereotypes usually tied to car salesmen. Ted is very knowledgable of the overall sales process and an expert in all the features of any Acura. His experience and ability to understand his customer needs are only a couple of things that made my process of buying a car easy and painless. Ted made sure that I was aware of all of my options and that I made the right decision. He also followed up with me after a week of me owning the vehicle and within my first month. In addition, he made sure that I met the GM and the finance manager properly so I felt like I was a part of the dealership in a sense. I will recommend Bernardi Acura to all of my friends and family and I hope that I will have a chance to stay in touch with Ted.

Horrible experiance. They sold me non usable insurance for worn tires and insurance did not cover worn tires.when i had a nail in my ture they did not tell me about it at the inspection and refused to fix it or replace it. Then told me they changed my oil but indicator started to flush saying that i have no oil in my car.when i told them about it they refused to fix it and end up the conversation. I was offered a very fair price (below the Consumer Reports suggested retail) which was unexpected since I have heard horror stories about buying new cars. My sales person Juanmy was very helpful in answering questions and he went out of his way to take me to the bank to get a bank check, he filled the tank with gas and he even had the car registered before I left the lot. Adriano polanco was my sales representative. Very friendly, very knowledgeable of the car I wanted. We went for a test drive and he let me drive the way I felt as comfortable as possible. Buying a car isn't always the most pleasant experience, nor having it serviced, but I've got to say that Acura of Boston has surpassed all previous experiences I've had, and always exceeds my expectations. Bob Gandolfo took care of me this morning. I had several items that my personal mechanic had told me to have checked and Bob listened to and noted down the problems really well. After a short while, Bob picked me up from the waiting lobby and we went to the service together. The mechanical expert showed me each item that had been reported by my personal mechanic. The result was my car is just fine, and I saw it with my own eyes.When you buy a car, it's more than just the heavy metal you get, it's the service too. Acura cars are already known for their comfort and reliability - and their service is just excellent.

i called them at 5pm regarding a 2008 highlander they had listed here on cars.com, they said it was still available, i explained i was traveling an hour to come up to see it, and she said it was still available. i got up there and supposedly someone from out of state put a deposit on it but of course the next line was "is there anything else i can interest you in on the lot" very upset i feel i was lied to, this car is still up on this site, not taken down.

I was fortunate to have trusty honest mechanics in my day but a dealer service would be my first and awesome experience despite the dealer stigma of intimidation. Great people make up great businesses and Jonathan Cung in service trailblazes with personality and realism infused with technical know how. He prevented many a mini heart attacks, researching any warranty or recall issues for me, analyzing what lots my car could get away with on little and what small measures taken would fixup wonders. A good product at a fair price. This is the second MDX purchase and this dealership has come a long way. Rick was astute enough to focus first on whether the vehicle suited our needs, price point, and lifestyle. After test driving similar sized bmw, lexus, and infinity models it became clear that this mdx is a better value and more practical choice for my wife and our children. The pricing discussions were quick and virtually no pressure to upsell or add on unnecessary costs. Everything was ready as promised, paperwork was properly prepared, and all questions answered truthfully and completely. A far cry from thirteen years ago. I would definitely purchase there again when our other car needs to be replaced. The key ingredient here was dealing with an experienced professional salesman who knew the vehicle had to be a good fit for our needs and once that connection was made, the deal would happen. My compliments to the sales management for providing their sales people with enough room to sell a good product their own way

Wayne harris and Bernardi Acura of Boston were great to work with!! I was in the market for a 2014 Acura MDX and they came highly recommended. From the 1st time I walked in there, I felt like they rolled out the red carpet for me. We were able to go on a test drive right away and Wayne spent a lot of time going over all the options and features the new MDX had to offer. Wayne is extreemly knowledgable about not only the MDX but all Acura's in general. There wasn't a question he couldn't answer!! At the time of delivery, he spend well over 2 hours going thru the car from top to bottom, especially all the options (which are numerous!) and made sure the MDX was as clean as could possibly be until the second I drove it off the lot! Randall Matthews is an excellent salesperson. My uncle did not go into Acura thinking he'll be purchasing the 2014 Acura MDX the same day, trading his RAV4 and bringing the MDX home. He was actually going to take his RAV4 in for service to fix a recall, but he wanted to check out the MDX before hand. He did not plan to purchase the MDX until at least 6 months to 1 year later. The main reason my uncle purchased the MDX was because of Randall and his excellent customer service. Randall was very attentive, knowledgeable and answered all the concerns we have regarding the MDX, he offered the option to test drive it and was very helpful throughout the whole purchasing process. Even after we purchased the MDX, he was still very attentive and helpful and thorough with explaining the functions of the car and anything that needed explanation. A day after purchasing the car, my uncle needed the registration as soon as possible. He needed it to transfer his fast lane information and Randall went above and beyond and got it done for us right away. I am very impressed with the customer service my uncle & I received at Acura of Boston. Randall is such an awesome salesperson that we do not hesitate to recommend to all our friends and family members that wants to purchase an Acura to visit this dealership and ask for Randall Matthews. In July, 2013, we bought a used car from the dealership ( 2012 Honda Fit with 6K miles). Please be aware, that as you go into the dealership, they will try to lure you in by saying that the car has been on the lot for many days and they are going to auction it off the next day. Which was not true as the sales person called me 3 days later asking if I was interested in the car. The staff is extremely unprofessional, i.e. Curtis/Sam, who have no idea how to interact with the customer. They frankly just don't care and are extremely rude in dealing with you. We thought that they might not be very experienced and hence started working with Sales Manager ( Mike Benoit ). I finally wanted the car, so, I said I would pay the asking price. They told me that I would get the car the next day by 1:00 PM. I called them close to 10 times to ensure that I would receive the car by 1:00 PM. They kept complaining that my insurance company was not returning the completed forms. Ultimately, I spoke with almost three people to give the fax number of my insurance company. Finally they admitted that they had the wrong fax number. Though none of them ever admitted that they were incorrect in finishing the paper work. They did not tell me the time that they would deliver the car as they missed the 1:00 PM delivery time. Finally, I called them to find out when they would deliver the car. They said that they left the car on my driveway. I was not home to inspect the car when they delivered the car and worst they left the car running with the keys in the car on my driveway. I called up Mike Benoit to complain and he said that customer service was not very important as I only bought a 16K car. They would only be nice, if I had bought an expensive car. I asked Mike Benoit, if I could speak to his manager. He said he was the end stop and there was no one above him. I finally called the front desk and asked who was the top level person there. They gave me the name of Mike Bender. He gave me a call and said that he was traveling out of the country and could not talk to me. He mentioned that he would follow up with me after he was back in the states. I guess he forgot to follow up. I guess customer service ranks very poorly on their list and shows up from all the reviews as well as my experience. I can say that I was very disappointed and would recommend all folks to be very careful, while visiting their dealership to buy the car.

I bought an Acura ILX at Acura of Boston and I had a really nice experience. I found the staff at the Brighton dealership to be friendly and professional compared with other dealerships I visited. I've been doing business with Acura of Boston for many years. I've purchased and serviced three Acuras at this dealership - a 1990 Acura Integra, a 2005 Acura RL and a 2008 Acura RDX. I've always found the team there to be professional, efficient and helpful. When I recently decided to sell my 2008 RDX, imagine my surprise when I ended up selling the car......to Acura of Boston. After running an ad to sell the car, Acura of Boston offered me a reasonable price to purchase the car for their used car inventory. The price was close enough to my expectations and still allowed the dealership to make a reasonable profit on the vehicle.Robert was extremely professional and straight-forward in our dealings. He didn't waste my time and treated me like a valued customer. I really appreciate his direct approach and strong follow-through. Robert is an asset to the Acura of Boston team. I won't hesitate to do business with Acura of Boston again in the near future.

10/12-a postscriptWhat happened below still happened; HOWEVER, within 12 hours of posting this, I received a message from the GM of the dealership, Michael Bender. He was extremely concerned about my experience, listened to my story, promised to follow up, called when he said he was going to, was honest about what might have happened, and tried to make the situation right. While it's unfortunate that it had to come to that, I do want to give kudos to Michael for taking the customer service aspect seriously and trying to remedy the situation. After speaking with him, I do think an honest mistake was made and that there was no dishonest intention, just a faulty process, which Michael has said that they have fixed. I appreciate his follow up and effort to try to keep a customer.BEWARE!!! (And know that I called the dealership and warned them that I was going to blast them on every on-line site I could - they had their chance.) We bought our car here in 2002 (MDX) and have almost always brought it here for service with relatively mediocre (not to mention expensive) results. (6 years ago I won't bore you with the details but I am convinced they nicked a hose during our 50K mile service the car died on the X-press way. We had to have the engine completely replaced - it was no cost, though we had to sign something and it was a huge inconvenience. You would be smart to ask why we continued to go there - we are idiots apparently!) But this last experience takes the cake. We had a warning light come on for the 2nd time in 2 months (after $2K worth of fixes the first time) and this time they told us the transmission was shot, and that it would be close to $7K to fix it. However, they did not recommend fixing it due to the age of the car. Salespeople started calling a few days later. We panicked as we were about to leave on vacation and had been warned we might not want to drive it - we literally almost bought a car, debated a rental, etc. For S&G's my husband decided to take it to Aamco for a 2nd opinion. Only $100 later they told us they didn't see any warning code that would indicate the transmission was gone but there was a loose wire. So Acura of Boston did shoddy work or the worse possibility is dishonest work. Maybe get us to buy a new car and take our car and fix it for cheap to sell it? I really didn't want to believe it but who knows. I called to complain and the manager I spoke to said all the right things and promised that his manager would call back to discuss. I gave them 4 days and called back again and asked for the manager. He said he knew nothing about the call. The bottom line is they didn't give a at#$%. To me, that's the worst part of this story. If you make a mistake, OK, but if you don't care about customer service enough to make it a priority to apologize, then you are just stupid. So I would absolutely stay away from their service department!!!!!!!

My profession is that I am a Global Sales Manager for a multinational software vendor. I know excellent salesmanship when I see it. Phil Scott gets top marks in my book. In fact, I have purchased/leased over 30 vehicles over the years for associates, friends and relatives and I can state the Phil is the best sales person I have ever dealt with at any dealership. I needed to make an appointment for a recall on my 08 Acura TL.Service Rep told me that the dealership will inspect the parts and would not do the recall if the inspection determined it's not needed.I disagree and was being transferred to a service manager..... after 20min hold and being transferred 5 more times I finally reached the manager.. He agrees with me that they would work on the recall no matter what... so he transferred me to the appointment clerk...The Appointment clerk told me the same thing the Service Rep told me before... I explained to her but she kept insisting she checked with her service advisor and that's what she was told...I got furious with all these different info given to me by the same friggin dealership and called American Honda Corp. They agree with me.I called the dealership back, spoke to the same service manager and he completely agrees with me and he was setting up my appointment without transferring me back to appointment clerk. But the appointment didn't go through because he didn't want to give me a loaner which he says he can only give to 3+ hours services.Bottom line: Called Acura of Peabody, made a appointment, secured a loaner in less than 5 minutes.Pros: 1 knowledgeable service manager, i believe his name is BobCons: long wait time (at one point i was transferred to a Toyota service manager WTF), bunch of rookie service reps and appointment clerks

We walked in with two kids in the pouring rain to test drive the Acura MDX and were immediately greeted by Phil Scott. He was helpful, funny, knowledgeable and understanding about where we were in the decision process, especially on such a horrible day. We told him what we were thinking about and that we had just begun comparison shopping. He showed us a model with the layout and features in the showroom, while he fetched a car we could test drive. No one was hovering and finishing our sentences while we crawled all over the car. I went in to see a car that was sold by the time i got to the dealership. The sales guy there met my price appetite and got me to buy a model year newer than the one i went in for and a price that was hard to refuse. It took me 20 mins for the test drive, 15 mins to negotiate the price and within the hour i had signed the papers and left. Began searching for my new 2012 TL via the internet. I sent an e-mail with the best price that I had received from some other local dealers. Phil sent me back an email very quickly and told me that he could beat the price I gave him. I told him I would come in and talk and then introduced my trade in. I figured they would try and work me over on the trade as I knew I was getting a good deal on the new TL. I told Phil I knew what I wanted to get out of the trade and that I had done my homework. He came back and offered me very close to what I wanted and after a little negotiation we had a deal. Phil was awesome, a no-nonsense guy who was able to offer me a very fair price the first time and we agreed pretty quickly on the final numbers.I've bought many new cars in my life and this was by far the best experience I've ever had. This is the 2nd car I've purchsed from this dealership. The first was a 2002 TL and that was a good expeprience, this one was even better.I really liked Phil and would encourage anyone going to this dealer for a new purchase should ask for him. I went to this dealership a few times in the last few weeks to check out the RDX and MDX. I was very impressed by the knowledge of the salesman (Kevin) who reliably compared the two cars to other manufacturers' models and to each other. This was in stark contrast to my visit two years ago when the salesman (I forget his name) told me the second row in the MDX only seated two people. But I liked the styling and reliability of the Acura's and have had a few friends who have loved their cars so I was pursuaded to look again, and I'm glad I did. They were forthright and upfront on the trade-in value of my Lexus, and they also participate in Bank of America's Car Buying Center: which pre-negotiates the best price for you. Print off your certificate and they will honor it with no haggling. All in all a first class dealership that lived up to its luxury car reputation this time. And ask for Kevin for a low-pressure, high-class sales experience!

The sales guy was great, Edwin. The sales manager was pushy, arrogant and blew a deal that was otherwise done. We phone tagged and he finally stopped calling after the first afternoon. This guy is old school hard sell and I felt like he was trying to trap me right down to holding my keys aftger appraising my trade. (he gave me back the registration but kept my keys.) Bought another car from a dealer that simply answered my questions politely. I felt bad for Edwin, nice guy with no power to negotiate.

He was the only one to email me right away after I inquired about the TL. Christopher Wright in the F&I department was extremly knowledgeable, answered all my questions and at no time did I ever feel pressure. I was able to go at my own pace and do what I wanted. Ryan could not do enough for me when going over the TL's features he took the time to go over it not once but several times, answered all my questions then delivered the car to me 50 miles north of Boston. I went to this dealership many years ago and inquired about a new Acura. I learned that the new models were out of my range. They didn't have any pre-owned in stock that met my needs in my price range. They took my info, and a few days later called and advised that had just got a car in they thought I would like. I drove over, they gave me the keys, I drove it to Dedham where a mechanic I know inspected the car and told me there were no issues what so ever with the car, which was a 1995 Acura Integra with 72,000 miles. I drove the car from 1999 until 2008. It had 280,000 miles when an idiot blew a stop sign in Dorchester and broad sided me leaving the car as a total loss and no longer operational. I can tell you this, the car had no mechanical issues over the 10 years I drove it. I would have driven the car to Florida even after 10 years. And I'm pretty sure it had another 100,000 miles left!!!! Over the years, the only service I needed was when I had to change batteries, and I had to change the alternator once, and the radio had a security system built in. I would have to call to get the security code, and they were always more than helpful. Plus you see from earlier in the review how helpful they were in helping me find the car that was perfect for me.

Furthermore, the sales staff was extremely cordial and receptive to me when I visited the dealership. I never felt pressured at any time. Zack was a professional from the beginning to the end. He answered every question I had before and after the sale. I think it's admirable for a salesperson to care about you after the sale has been made just as much as before the sale. If I had a question Zack didn't know he didn't try to bullshit me, he instead went to the appropriate peopl;e where he could get the correct answer. Trust me I had him running around with a lot of questions. I found everyone at accura of Boston to be very helpful. I guess if I had any complaints it's with all the guys standing at the managers desk talking bad about a salesman that wasn't in that day. I really thought that was inappropriate. Other than that all the people were very friendly and helpful.

I have an Acura TL, which I purchased from Acura of Boston. I was happy with the car and the service that I received from the service department. As I am getting close to exceeding the mileage on my lease, I decided to look into buying a new Acura. We looked at several models this weekend and were given pricing that included an offer to payoff the rest of my lease. We had to ask our sales guy four times to get us pricing, and we had to ask him very directly. We also had to remind him that we wanted to test drive the MDX after test driving the RDX. It was like he did not have time to show us both cars. Anyway, we initially thought their pricing was competitive, but after doing research, we felt we could do better. However, we had to call multiple times to discuss the quote. No one called us back. In the meantime we got more competitive pricing from other dealers. Acura of Boston finally called us back and offered us a decent price. Since we had a positive experience with them when we leased my TL, we decided to buy the car from them and drove into the dealership to complete the deal (per the sales manager's instruction). We had to wait over an hour once we got there, even though the sales manager told us to come in. When we finally discussed the deal with the sales manager, he was provoked that we had a lease and acted like it was our fault for not telling him, even though we discussed the lease and had the car appraised through his colleague, the other sales manager and the sales guy we worked with. The left hand had no idea what the right hand was doing. Ultimately, this sales manager would not honor the commitment that the other sales manager made to pay out the rest of the lease with the pricing that we had agreed to with him. He wanted us to cover half of the remainder of the lease. He also told us that the car was not even leased from Acura of Boston when it was. Even though we spent about 2 and a half hours waiting for these guys to get their act together, we decided to take our business elsewhere. Between the phone calls that were not returned, the lack of attention when we arrived to work out the deal, and the disconnect between various members of the sales team, it was clear to us that they had met their quota for the month and that our business was not important to them. We will not be going to this dealership for sales or service in the future. In fact, we are now considering purchasing a car other than an Acura, which we initially had no intention of doing. If you want a typical, slimy, car dealership experience, I would go to this dealership, otherwise look elsewhere. There are plenty of options in the greater Boston area.UPDATE: I WANTED TO UPDATE THIS REVIEW, AS THE DEALER DID ATTEMPT TO FIX THE SITUATION. BOTH THE SALES MANAGER AND GENERAL MANAGER CALLED ME. THE SALES MANAGER OFFERED ME THE PRICING WE WERE INITIALLY PROMISED OR A GOOD DEAL ON THE MDX. WE ENDED UP GETTING A BETTER DEAL FROM ANOTHER DEALER, SO WE DECIDED NOT TO PURCHASE FROM ACURA OF BOSTON DUE TO THE BETTER PRICING FROM THE OTHER DEALER AND THE INITIAL NEGATIVE EXPERIENCE. This was our first purchase of an Acura and our first experience at Acura of Boston. Every aspect of our research, purchase, financing and pick-up was handled efficiently, professionally and courteously. In particular, our salesperson, Dumitru, was exceptionally helpful and thorough, spending several hours with us (over 3 visits) to make a deal that was satisfactory to everyone involved and to make sure that we understood the operation of our car. After spending a couple of hours going over the complex audio and navigational system, Dumitru even offered to be available for further tutorial assistance, if needed. He expedited registration and paperwork for the auto insurance, advised about future servicing of the car, and also installed our transponder for us! Who could ask for anything more? We plan to use Acura of Boston to service our car. If the service department is as competent, attentive and personable as Dumitru, we will feel very lucky, indeed, to have purchased a car through this dealership. My wife and I had a great buying experience at Acura of Boston. The salesman who helped us, Dumitru, is very pleasant, patient, knowledgeable and helpful. My wife and I had some other manufacturers' models in mind for a new or slightly used car and had not researched Acura models as much. We went in to see what they had, being mostly familiar with the TL. We spent about 3.5 hours with Dumitru, looking at new and used TL's and TSX's, test driving some of them, negotiating a price, etc. We really liked a 2010 TSX with 2200 miles they had available, but being not that familiar with TSX's we wanted to do a bit more research on them and also still check out some other manufacturers' models. When we informed him after spending quite a bit of time with us he remained patient, pleasant and very professional.We ended up buying the car a couple days later. The whole purchasing process was great. Dumitru is very detail oriented and made it all very easy. Also Larry, the pre-owned sales manager who we dealt with during the price negotiation process, was similarly in his attitude. Same goes for Al who is the finance manager. We never got a bad vibe from the staff, they treat you really well. They don't try to push you into a direction you don't want.When we picked up the car Dumitru spent about half an hour with us going over all the features of it, pointing out all the bells and whistles (he set up the Bluetooth for our phones). Just more customer service details he is dedicated to. We really recommend this dealership, the sales staff is great.

After I bought my car, I had trouble syncing up the car with my garage door opener. Josh and then Saran came to my house (2 visits), and as it turned out, the Overhead Door mechanism needed to be adjusted before syncing. We did not know that on the 1st visit. On the 2nd visit, Saran climbed up to the mechanism on the garage ceiling and fixed what needed to be done after speaking with Overhead Door man. Then he synced the car. It was great that these men were willing to come over 2 times for the same issue. And then Saran was re-briefing me on how to use certain things in the car that I hadn't used yet. This is the 2nd car I bought new from this dealership - not because of the dealership, but due to the excellent caring staff.

I actually had a delightful experience buying my car even though I was not interested in doing so. Stephen and Josh found the car that suited me and my price range. They were extremely attentive to my needs, flexible and came in during their off hours to accommodate my schedule. In the end, I got exactly what I wanted and was well taken care of. Dumitru from Acura of Boston was by far the most helpful car salesmen I've ever worked with. I went to the dealership that day to investigate the possibility of trading my 2005 Acura TL in for a newer TSX with less options and a lower monthly payment. He simply asked me what I was looking for, and then proceeded to show me vehicles matching the description I had given him. He was very up front and honest about what the dealership had to offer. After a fairly brief conversation, I decided that the TSX he had shown me was clearly a very good deal, both with the available interest rate at 2.9% and the car's sticker price being a few thousand below book value. We finalized the deal, which was a very smooth and painless process, and I was driving my new TSX home two days later. I had only intended to investigate the possibility of trading in my TL that day, but Dumitru's easy going attitude, knowledge of the vehicles and the brand, attention to detail, and desire to satisfy the customer and not simply bring home a bigger pay check, had convinced me to make a purchase. Since buying the car, Dumitru and Acura of Boston have followed up with me to make sure I was satisfied with my purchase. Hagging over a year-old demo in 2009 was not altogether a pleasant experience, and I did not get full disclosure about the car's problems. I was very pleased with the way I was treated by the folks at Bernardi Acura of Boston. I had been to four dealers previous to my visit to Bernadi, including the other big houses in the Boston area and found the staff at Bernardi to be in stark contrast to the others. The staff was knowledgeable about the vehicles they had in their inventory, which is a good start. At this point, I was annoyed at previous dealers' first response of opening a laptop computer and saying "let's see what we have in stock..." This annoyed me because, thanks to the same website they visited, I already knew what they had in stock. Seems to me that any reasonably intelligent dealer would be better informed of their stock than me. Other dealers tried to lock me into a certain vehicle and then grew excessively difficult with which to work. At one dealership, based in Peabody, the price kept going up, which is clearly the wrong direction if they truly wanted to sell me a car. The staff there, I felt, deliberately wasted my time and proved frustrating with which to work, causing me to feel that I needed to leave and not come back. When I expressed that all I wanted, at this point, was to go, the dealer insisted I wait to talk to his manager who was on the phone. The manager simply regurgitated what I was already told, precisely as I expected him to do, and further wasted my time and made me feel stupid for even being there. The staff at Bernardi worked with me to find the best fit. They offered me very fair value for my trade-in and was clearly willing to work with me on the price of the car I was buying. I felt that my business was wanted and valued. It made my decision to purchase a certified pre-owned Acura TL from Bernardi and easy one for which I am greatly appreciative.

This is the first Acura I have purchased for myself. (My son paid me back for an RSX which I purchased for him a few years ago). I do not have much spare change,since I lost my full-time job about three years ago, and was reluctant to pay the most I have every paid by far for a car. It was my salesman, Saran Dep, who put me at ease. He was just so accommodating, from explaining the advantages of the 08 RL tech. to even making a recording for me after I purchased the car, explaining the many controls in the car, many more than I had ever had before. Then he offered to answer any questions that came up, at any time in the future, on the most efficient use of the car and gave me his contact number. I never thought I was really going to buy the car when I walked in, but I found myself talking to someone who was more like a friend/counselor type than a salesman. He was just that nice. The two folks from the business office, John Cleary and Neil Gately gave me a lot of information on extended contracts and rim and wheel contracts. They did this in a friendly way, not selling it or pushing it on me. What they said made sense, so I took those contracts. All three of these guys were very efficient in performing their work. I never felt rushed, but I never felt my time was wasted. Generally, the atmosphere in the whole place was friendly, so the general manager must be doing something right. I think the price I got for the car was good, and a little better than competitors. There is always some "buyers regret", particularly when the buyer made the splurge of his lifetime, but I feel confident that I will have a good relationship with Bernardi's Acura as time goes along.

DUMITRU MOISEI is the salesperson who instantly turned my opinion of Bernardi from an unpleasant experience into a superior experience. His knowledge, attention to detail, listening skills and suggestions were spot on. He was engaging from the moment I walked in the door and his enthusiasm to meet my needs was entirely genuine--he never tried to shoehorn me into a purchase but very specifically pointed out all the options each car model posessed and which ones I might find practical, pleasurable and to my advantage. His relationship with Perry Wong, the manager, was very trustworthy and I felt that Dumitru was my advocate when it came time to negotiate the price. The pocess was cordial, smooth, and entirely satisfying. For me, buying the car was the end of the process, but for Dumitru it was just the beginning. He next orchestrated the entire business transaction and made certain all the arrangements for the registration, plate transfer, insurance and title were expedited properly. Nor did his attention to detail stop there. Once I returned to pick up the car he transferred the plates, magically transferred my neighborhood parking sticker, and walked me through the very detailed and complex navigation and hands free technology which is a major feature in a TL S Type. Once I pulled off the lot and arrived home I realized that not only did I purchase the car I desired, but that I purchased it from a person who left no stone unturned in an effort to make the purchase as pleasant as the product. Then today he called to check up on my effort to manage the navigation system and when I said I needed a bit more instruction he set up a time for me and I came in and he walked me through it step by step for a second time. I never once felt I was imposing on his time and instead I again left feeling as if he took pleasure in meeting my needs.

Overall: Good buying experience for a certified pre-owned car. Dumitru was very friendly and made sure to answer of all my questions. He let me drive the conversation instead of wasting my time pointing out features is was already familiar with. I would feel good about sending a friend to this dealership. Price: Extremely competitive for dealership pricing. Less markup over wholesale prices than I was typically seeing elsewhere.Financing: I found the process much more honest than a previous attempt at buying a car at another location. I have excellent credit and at another dealership was told that all I qualify for is 6.9% financing from the dealer (and this was a big brand dealer) whereas at this Acura dealer I got the interest rate that was more online with my risk profile. Just a word of buying advice though, you should always go into a dealership with a preapprived rate from an outside lender so you have something to compare to. Delivery: The pickup process was great. Dumitru made the effort to fix up as best as possible any minor blemishes that I requested. Was it perfect? No, but it was pretty close and as good as one could expect without buying a new car. Follow-up: Dumitru called a few days later to make sure all was going well and when I had an issue with one of my key fobs I came in and he fixed it right away.

We came in to look at Acura because we needed a new car and we were shopping around. We came to Acura because our daughter has a Honda Civic and we all really like that car. It runs well and is very reliable. We wanted to see what the upgraded version of Honda was like. Our salesman was Dumitru Moisei. He was very knowledgeable and informative. We test drove the TL-SH AWD.We liked the feel of the car and all the technology that is in it. We decided to buy it. When the car came in Dumitru spent several hours with us to make sure we knew how to operate all the features of the car and answer all of our questions. He was extremely concerned about my decision, whether it had to do with Acura or not, and always gave a very honest opinion about any question I had. My experience was so good that I didn't even care going to any other Acura dealership in my vicinity.He made it feel like the car was mine even before the purchase, and never once did I get the feeling that I was being ripped off, or that money was the biggest driving force for him. Customer satisfaction seemed of prime importance and I was always kept at ease. Some dealers first ask you your budget, but here I was shown all the cars, asked what I wanted and showed all the features. I did my homework later, and it turned out that it was the best price that Acura of Boston was giving me, with hardly any hassle of haggling, which is unlike the "dealer" concept as all of you know.My sales rep followed up the right amount and was always available to answer any question over the phone or via email.I will definitely be going back there the second I need an Acura.

I purchased a new 2010 Acura TSX 4 cylinder without the technology package at Acura of Boston. I began my buying process over the Internet. Within minutes of filling out the form, the Internet sales person, Saran Deb, called me on my mobile (as I requested) and began to negotiate price. Since I had already driven the car at another dealership, all I needed to do was get the best deal I could. Saran worked with the sales manager to come up with a very reasonable price, which according to other web sites, appears to be on par with what others are paying currently. Their price beat the next closest dealer by $300.I got the typical run-around on my trade-in, but the negotiation with the sales manager was friendly and professional.The business manager who finalized the financing was also quite friendly and professional. Naturally, they managed to match my credit union financing with an offer from Bank of America. His approach on the add-ons (insurance, scotch guard, etc.) was fairly low-key - only one hard push on the "gap insurance".When I picked up the car, Saran brought me through a detailed delivery that included setting up my preferences, linking my Blackberry via bluetooth, getting the XM radio subscription fixed (this required a lot of extra effort on his part, I might add), and generally giving me all the details I needed to drive it off the lot.Overall, I would highly recommend working with Saran and the team at Acura of Boston.

However, when I went to by a specific MDX at the end of the model year, they basically said we don't have it and nobody else has it and they didn't try to find one. Altho my my wonderful TL needed little more than routine maintenence over last 2 years, Acura of Boston has provides excellent professional care. They gave me good advice when I upgraded the tires. They have more than once not charged for something or reduced fees voluntarily, when they thought this was fair. Their price for a major service was $60-100 less than 5 other Acura dealers in the area. They wash and vacuum the car after each visit for free and also have loaner vehicles, shuttle service, and wifi waiting area with free snacks.In summary, Acura of Boston routinely treats me as a valued customer, instead of as a revenue opportunity.

I started by browsing their website until I found the perfect car for me. I bought an '05 TL here and have brought it back for a variety of service needs long after warranty has ended, including for some issues that would probably make most technicians roll their eyes. Everyone at the dealership has been professional, patient, respectful, sympathetic and friendly. In particular, I've really appreciated service reps and mechanics' willingness to drop everything on more than one occasion in order to take a spin around the block with me on a noise-hunting mission. And most importantly, no member of the Acura of Boston team has ever made me feel that even hard-to-find issues were anything less than legitimate. It's a model dealership, in my book. I was thoroughly impressed with the Acura of Boston sales team from start to finish. My initial contact came from Samantha in follow up to an internet request. Despite me putting her off a first time because of my father-in-laws heart surgery and a second due to the power loss in NH during the ice storm, she demonstrated sincerity and maintained her professionalism while asking at the same time if she could follow up again. Being a sales manager myself I was impressed.Upon contacting the dealership on the phone when I was ready to move forward with purchasing a vehicle, I was put in contact with Gary Cooney as Samantha was not working. Joanna Kiklis as the Finance officer gave me great service, and explained all of the paperwork I needed to fill out. We had already worked out a price for an mdx before we walked on the lot, so we didn't have to deal with any of that.The only minor thing we were a little annoyed by is when they brought the out the exact car/color we were going to purchase, the outside of it was really dirty with bird droppings. I would have expected they would have at least run a hose over it before showing us. But when we picked it up it was clean and shiny.

I have never been so insulted and badly treated by a sales person in my life. The process started like normal with initial negotiations until they brought in the sales manager. He talked down to my wife and I as if we were idiots and had no understanding about buying a car or supply and demand. I made sure to correct him on his understanding since I have a PhD in economics from Harvard. Not only was he rude but he raised his voice at us. We were so upset that we almost left before making one final counter. Unfortunately we didn't leave at that point. I started my counter offer by saying "I have to be honest..." when he interrupted me and sarcastically said "So you're just going to be a little honest". That was the last straw. I told him he was being irritating and an ass and that I would not buy a car from him on principal and left. I can't even imagine how badly we would be treated after buying the car if this was how badly we were treated before we even bought it.

These guys assume that the buyer is an idiot. You can find out most of the relevant information on the web, but they always try to force BS down your throat... I went back to a different dealer where we stopped by earlier that day -- good numbers not a lot of negotiating. Sales team in Acura of Boston assume that the consumer is clueless and that there is no information on the web regarding the sales process. The sales manager was a particularly ignorant tool. I would recommend shopping around before you go there.

Back in March, I went into Acura of Boston to lease another Acura. I had a 2005 TL bought from there and wanted a new 2007, but I had a few months to go in my current lease. I met with Christian Hansen who was very knowledgable about the product. He didn't need to do too much selling since I knew the car inside and out. The lease he offered me was slightly higher than what I was currently paying but it didn't include getting me out of my current lease. I owed 3 payments of about $420 per month and I didn't want to come up with that on my end.I got a call back the next day from a sales manager, Al Henriques, and he suggested that I stop in and meet with him and Christian to get closer to wrapping it up. So worth my time ! The big sticking point was my old lease payments. What he did agree to do was take me out of my existing lease and only come up with one of the three payments. DONE ! Even though the payment was a little higher than my old lease, I know 2007 pricing went up and interest rates too. The price increase was modest given 2 years newer car and I had a very good buying experience.When I went to pick up my car, the registration still had to get processed so Christian went over the car with me but I cut him short since it was basically the same car I had. We just set up my Bluetooth and Navi and transferred my stuff into my new car. Within 15 minutes, Al brought me my new registration, they got a sticker for me and off I went.The only bad part is I went into Acura of Boston about 3 weeks ago with my wife to check out the 2008 MDX, and I was told that neither Christian or Al were employed there. Bummer ! We did take the MDX for a drive and liked it but we still haven't decided to buy it. Does anyone know where Christian or Al went ? The salesperson we saw seemed a bit rushed. We left after about 45 minutes. We may visit another store this weekend or look at the new Highlander. In closing, YMMV at this store depending on who you see. The service on our TL went well so we'll definately go back for service. I gave 4's for the review only because the 5's I had given for my 2007 TL purchase had now been merged with the 3's I'd given for this last visit.

People hate dealerships and that is not without reason. I had a great experience however at Acura of Boston.The service rep (Amanda) is amazing. She's friendly, knowledgeable, and eager to help. You'll see her name on the plaques for customer service awards thing. You'll understand why.I been to Acura of Boston for service a few times now (routine check ups) and the other reps while not rude, are nowhere near as friendly. They do their job but have the attitude of a minimum wage burger flipper. They're very forgetful too, overlooking details which I asked them for.As far as the work goes, its pretty good. I dont see reason for concern and I'd go as far as saying that I'd be wary of going anywhere else.

We almost reached a final agreement on a 2006 MDX but I said I need to sleep on it as to wether to pay by cash or by financing. The sales person said it was a great deal and asked me to just pay cash and pick up the car tomorrow. I said "OK, take $500 off and I will pay cash today." He lost his temper, stood up and said "you are wasting my time" and just walked away from his desk. Not professional at all. Unacceptable !Now I won't buy from them even if they take $1000 off the price.
