I was simply passing through the lot checking out alternatives for my daily driver, Ended up talking with Nate who was able to see if anything they had on the lot would be a good fit or not. As it turned out they had some amazing rebates going for what turned out to be their last 2015 Lincoln MKS on the lot, that paired with them giving me more than I even owed on my current vehicle, I was signing paperwork and going home in a new Lincoln that same day! I've had the car a solid month now and am still very happy with the purchase.

I had stopped to just look at a truck I saw on the lot. Aaron Newton the salesman came out to speak to me. I told him I was just looking. He did not try to push and answered the few questions I had. I told him I would be back later. I returned later the same day. Aaron came out to se me. He asked if I would like to test drive the vehicle. After the test drive we spoke about the price. We were able to find a price that we both agreed on.

My wife and I bought a certified pre-owned vehicle from Alphorn and the salesman Aaron Newton was very helpful and not pushy at all. He found us exactly what we wanted and it was in our price range too. The only issue with the vehicle was something small and cosmetic that they ended up fix for us. The work was done next door at Gates Collision Center which exceeded our expectations. The longest part was finding a bank that would give us a reasonable rate but thanks to Mark Fields who handles most of the financing for Alphorn we were able to get the interest rate and terms that we wanted. Thanks Alphorn for making the buying process and overall experience great. You will be at the top of our list when we buy our next vehicle.

We have met with three different salesmen at Alphorn over the last few years, and Aaron has been the best. He was not pushy, was very informative and knowledgable, and seemed to genuinely care about finding the perfect car for us rather than just selling something only for his own benefit. When we were in the buying process, Mark was very helpful in getting the best rate and making sure we understood everything about our financing. He provided information about extra coverage for us, but did not push anything on us. Growing up in NY, its always good to run into a aplace that is just straightforward. Even though we definitely wanted the truck, we experienced a level of customer service second to none. Nate took us on a test drive and showed us all of the bells and whistles. Not only more than we expected, but the quality of everything was an 11 out of 10. Definitely one of the best salesmen I have even dealt with.Eric then went through the paper work as quickly and efficiently possible. He was honest and even explained the benefits of certain warranties. A great sense of humor and very personable. Patient and understanding.Afterwards Amanda who originally set up the entire process came out and assured our satisfaction with the process. The entire staff and atmosphere of this place is very genuine and I couldn't imagine getting a truck from anywhere else. Thank you again, Nate, Eric and Amanda, you guys were great!!!

I was in the market for a nice used car. Was looking for Van or SUV. I had a very specific price range I wanted to stay in so I had to be very particular. I was working with Nate and Scott. I told them what I wanted and they did try to get what I wanted there for me to see and drive. Eventually I found a Envoy Denali that gave my wife and I all the options and room we wanted and it was in our price range. So we acted quickly and they brought it in for quickly. We were very pleased! When I test drove it Nate went on and on about there intense and detailed inspection process. I noticed after driving it that a fog light and a rear back up light was out. Made them aware of it and he said it would be taken care of. The next day they came and picked up my wife and brought her to get the car and finish the paper work. I asked my wife to make sure the lights were being fixed. My salesman replaced the front bulb but then told me that it was a bad socket on the back of the car and that I could just buy the part and replace it. It would be much cheaper for me to do it myself instead of the dealership doing it. I was not happy but my wife brought the car home. I was still very happy!! The next day I leave to go to work and it barely starts and then there is a loud knocking noise from the rear of the car. It did stop after a minute or so. I called to let Nate know right away. He gave me somethings to check. I checked on them and got back to him. He explained what it might be and had me bring it in. it ended up being an issue with something needing to calibrated again after a fuse or battery was replaced, but in the process we found that the fan for the rear heat was not working at all!! I have young kids so this was a huge deal. So they kept the car to do other tests and check the battery. This was on a Saturday, they kept it over the weekend for a tech to look at it Monday. Got a call on Tuesday that everything was fixed. They said they replaced the battery, replaced the socket, then I asked about the heater in the back. The tech (Dan) told me that he hadn't received approval to have that fixed. I asked to speak with Nate, he was busy so i left a message. I didn't hear back from him until after I sent and email to Tony the gm threatening to return the car and cancel the whole thing unless this was fixed. Then Nate called me to say they were fixing it. So 2 weeks into owning my car I had only driven it twice. They finally called to say it was all done and I could pick it up. I asked since I had tons of issues if they could fill my car with gas. Both Nate, and Scott said it would be taken care of. Which I appreciate since it was supposed to snow like crazy that night and I would have my kids. I just wanted to jump in and get home so i could try and miss the storm. I get there to pick it up and there is ZERO gas in the car. I get my kids loaded up and start to drive across the street to get gas. Mind you at this point there is 6+ inches of snow on the ground. I actually ran out of gas pulling into the gas station. Thank god i was able to coast into the pump. I got gas and then drove home. After all this I received an email from Dan the Tech, Nate and the GM asking if I was satisfied. I was not and I made them aware of that. Well I got a call from the Sales Manager asking me to call him back. So i emailed him and called... go figure never got a call back. I then emailed and called Tony... wow go figure no call or email back. Then I got an email asking me to please share my positive experience and leave a review. The only positive part was them getting what I want there and oh giving my kids each a balloon while they ran our credit work. Other than that what a joke. Since then I have successfully steered multiple people away from buying from this dealership. AVOID THIS PLACE!! I BET NOW THAT I LEAVE THIS REVIEW MAYBE THE GM WILL WANNA CALL ME NOW. CLASSLESS PLACE AND HORRIBLE SERVICE ONCE YOU START TO CALL THEM OUT FOR THERE MISTAKES!!

I went to this dealership with interest in looking at a vehicle. The sales representative asked me to fill out an application for a specific vehicle. As someone who uses very little credit I ask to be assured that my credit would only be ran once as I understand the implications of my information being 'shopped' around. I was promised that this would be the case. The sales rep came back with some numbers that didn't make sense. I asked him the interest rate and he said he didn't know, it was 'just the daily rate' I felt uncomfortable so I left. I did the math on my own and the interest rate was over 25%. My credit score was not great, but not terrible in the mid 600's. I later checked my credit report and was shocked to find my score had dropped well over 100 points all at once. I inquired and found out this dealership had trashed my credit in minutes by running a page full of hard inquiries. I can only speculate that they do this to unsuspecting customers with mid range scores to try to push their own ridiculous financing on them and trashing their credit so bad that they have no choice. I have contacted the dealership many times to rectify and the refuse to let me speak to anyone but Tony Rice who I found to be rude and offensive. I believe he condones or even runs this scam and that's why I am being ignored. I also contacted Fairway Ford in Freeport as well due to being under the same ownership group and received the same response. By walking into this dealership one time to look at one vehicle, my credit is trashed beyond repair for several years. Please think about this before you walk into this business!

I had a trade that was worth $3200 - $4800 (KBB) and tried to buy a 2011 Ford F150 that was priced $26,000. They offered me $500 for my 2003 Ford F150 trade (ridiculous) and wouldn't budge from their $26,000 sticker price (they would come down to $25,800). A long drive, and they won't deal. Don't waste your time.

I just recently bought at 2011 Chevy Malibu from this dealership. When I bought the car they gave me a fair deal on it. I went to pick up the car 3 days later and noticed they had given me 1 set of keys. I went back in and asked if they could get me another set of keys and the manager started arguing with me telling me that it wasn't their fault because that is what they got with the car. He was very rude about it and didn't even try to work with me. He finally asked, rudely, what I wanted him to do about it and I said to get me another key and fab for the car. He said he would order one immediately. About 5 days later, I called the sales man that sold me the car to ask about the keys. He had no idea what I was talking about and told me he would call me back. Hours later, he called and left me a message saying that they couldn't cut me a key because they are a ford dealership. That wasn't what I was told by the manager at all. On top of the rude service, when I bought the car, they said they would clean it up for me. I don't know what their idea of clean is, but the back seat was covered in cat hair!

Walking into Alphorn was like walking into the stereotypical used car lot. While the salesman was friendly and attentive, hard selling only gets you somewhere when dealing with a customer who wants to be pushed around. Successful sales come from listening to what the customer is looking for and offering it to them for a reasonable price. Offering what they've specifically stated they aren't interested in loses you the sale which is why I didn't buy from Alphorn. However, on a high note, the financing gal is charming, helpful and listens to what the customer is saying.

They make promises that they do not keep. We got a Jeep Liberty in our price range but have had problems from day 1. At the beginning they were all more then wiling to please but once we started having problems that changed. We had mechanical problems and they came and picked up but unaware to us if they work on your car that voids your 90 day return policy. They never verbally told us this or gave us any papers. Also, they offered to switch out our jeep with another but when we got there they wanted to charge us $1000.00(on phone they said even swap per the general manager) Of course got very heated and we left without the new car but they did offer a gas card for our time which we declined. Now we noticed our title we received in mail. It is a branded title which means it says not actual mileage in title. Which this reduces car value. It is Wisconsin law they have to inform us of this title which they never did. We have the Wisconsin buyers guide and the title registration filled out by the general manager, Chad Manor and he failed to mark that it is a branded title. We did try to contact him and he did not want to discuss this. On 2 different phone calls his responses was: Have a nice day (being sarcastic) and hanging up and "it's your problem now bud". We are pursuing legal action on there errors and also we did call on day 81 since we had the 90 days per their website but he said was void since they worked on car (which that is not stated on website or any papers). We never want to deal with them again. They are the slimiest dealership I have ever seen. Stay far away!!!

I came up to help my nephew with purchasing a car. He took me to Alphorn because they had a really good selection of vehicles in stock and they happened to have an F-150 with the specific color he liked in stock. I've always been wary about car dealers trying to work you and beat you up, however the experienced with Chad and Alphorn was the best experience I have ever had at ANY car dealership anywhere. Its almost unfortunate I don't live in the area. Chad was really patient with us, and worked with us to help us get to the payments that we wanted to get to. He gave us options and it felt as though he was always working to make us happy.Once we were able to get the pricing situated we signed all the paperwork and we were off. We have even gotten a thank you card in the mail since my Howard purchased the F-150. The facilities are clean, the people are kind, and for once in my life, I didn't fell like I was being pushed around by someone trying to push a car on me that I wasn't 100% set on.Thanks Chad and the Alphorn team for an amazing experience. If only all other dealers were like you.

I am unfortunately out of state now, but I compare every dealer that I consider or do business with to the Alphorn team as they are in a class of their own. Nathan and Chad sold us our first new truck we have ever bought. I was worried about the payment being more than my trade in but they worked it out with the bank and were able to keep our same payment.Nathan drove 9 hours round trip to install our new cover for us to.I would recommend them to anyone!

This purchase was a problem from the get go. They tried to keep us there forever after we had made the purchase decision, trying to sell us after market items, and more insurance, etc.....Even after repeatedly being told, "no", they still tried. Almost changed our mind on the vehicle because of this.They finally gave up and we departed with plans to pick up the truck on Monday. We had arranged our own financing, so there were no issues with that, and we viewed the carfax, and everything appeared to be in order.However, they gave us the title when we went to pick up the truck on Monday. When I went to register the truck, they had failed to give us a "lein release" which is something they are required to do so by law. We picked up the vehicle on 09/13/10, and it is now 10/13/10, and we still do not have a lein release or clear title on this truck, and cannot register it yet. Also, on closer inspection of the title, there is a box checkmarked that says the vehicle's milage is not correct ! We have had to make two separate trips up there to ask about these things, and are told every time that they are taking care of things, and will get back to us. Of course, they do not.We don't feel that this is the way to treat customers. Their response ? IF we had financed through THEM, then things would have been routine, but because we were able to get fantastic financing through my credit union, we somehow caused this ourselves.I would NOT recommend this dealership to anyone, and will not buy from them again.
