Stay away from this dealership!! Go out of your way to go anywhere else. The entire sales staff that I dealt with lied to me. Big time to not little white lies but absolutely material misrepresentation civil tort kind of lies. Do your research and don't believe a word they tell you. They overcharged me over $6,000 on a service contract and various other "extras" like tire and wheel replacement and key replacement and told me that my bank required all of the extras in order to finalize the loan. I took delivery of the vehicle with the extras thinking that all of them were required by the bank. I call the bank and the bank said they did not require anything. John Bracken wrote up the illegal contract I never spoke to him again after the fact he handed it off to the other financial guy Paul Weiss. Paul continued on the path of lies and said no those weren't required by the bank sorry how about we give you $1,500 back. I said no thank you I don't want any of the add ons if they're not required by the bank he said well theyre uncancellable. That was another lie I looked through the fine print and found that every last one of the extras was cancellable . They also added an extra $995 make ready fee that Joe the salesman implied was "mandatory for all NY preowned cars". I called the dmv and there is no make ready fee per the dmv. When I asked Paul exactly what the make ready fee was for he explained that they charge it to all the used cars and it goes into a fund to fix the cars before they sell them. My car needed nothing so I said to Paul shouldn't that make ready fee be disclosed and explained before it's added to the price? He said yes he offered to send me $2500 to make me a happy customer. I told him no I wanted a new sales contract written up that I could agree with he refused to do that and sent two drivers to my work( how incredibly embarrassing) and took back the car. I can't imagine a bigger nightmare experience than I had dealing with these shamefully dishonest people. DO NOT BUY HERE this place doesn't even deserve to be in business and I am going to contact the Better Business Bureau and the Attorney General and I will go on every dealership rating site on the internet just to protect any other person from being cheated in this way.

I went to Apple to inquire about a brand new 2016 Accord. I wasn't bombarded by salesman when I walked in. Sadly, that's the only good thing I have to say. Orlando was my salesman. He was friendly, easy to talk to and very personable. We test drove the car I wanted and discussed prices. Unsure of what I should be paying for a brand new car I was offered a VERY high monthly payment and was given 2 leasing options. I wanted to think about it and was given the "you should leave a deposit, this car won't last!" Speech. The next day I spoke with Orlando again. He is very easy to be honest with and I told him the price was too high. He wanted me to come down with my fiance to work out some other options. In the meantime I did some research online and checked out a different dealership which gave me a significantly lower price. Later that day Orlando called and I kindly declined his offer and told him I was purchasing the same car at a much lower price. Moments later he called back with an offer to beat the other dealership and offered free maintenance. Now, you would think I would take the lower offer for the same exact car, right? No. Apple would have let me walk out of there a day earlier paying $130 MORE a MONTH without batting an eye. That's a significant difference from their first offer. Had they have been somewhat honest with their pricing from the beginning they would have made a sale. I'm so happy I decided to pay just few dollars more a month to go with the other reputable dealer who didn't try to scam me.

Mike was friendly and patient, answering many of my questions over the course of test driving 9 cars. I asked early on what the final cost would include. I was told, price of the car, taxes, DMV fees and a $75 processing fee. After 2 days and more test drives I settled on a car, tried to get a price reduction (NONE!), got a minor concession on accessories and was then hit with a $995 dealer PREP fee for a used car!!! Mike glossed over that line on the bill, and it was only when I called his attention to it that he defended it and claimed it was a non-negotiable state fee, then it was a dealer fee, then it was something he could talk to his manager about. Manager basically said, 'hate to see you go'. WE left and will shop elsewhere. DID NOT BUY CAR HERE and after reading dozens of online negative reviews, will not be returning and would advise others to go elsewhere too!

Have a new 2016 Pilot with 14000 miles, one year old. Maintenance indicator called for oil change and differential service. Had a $39.00 coupon but walked out paying $487..53!Changed oil, rear end differential, free tire rotation, then add on's....cabin filter dirty-replaced $70.00, wheel alignment $ 103.00, clogged air filter $58.00, and the final insult shop supplies at $ 18.00.The Pilot is a nice vehicle but no Mercedes.......up-sale rip off I call it.Unhappy Apple Honda customer for sure.

I brought my 2013 GMC Terrain in for service on a Saturday for a check engine light and I needed it done right away because I was leaving town and needed it to drive to the airport at the end of the week..I brought my car in and Chris Metz at the service desk was beyond helpful, polite and knowledgeable. They had my car for 3 days and throughout the process I was called no less than 4 times with updates and when I called and left a message my calls were returned immediately. I was given a new Hoinda loaner car.The service was performed beautifully, my car was washed and since it fell under a warranty I had zero to pay even though I had purchased a bumper to bumper insurance policy.

A sales manager Charlie at Apple Honda in Riverhead, refused to tell me his last name. When looking over the employees at the dealership the only sales manager I see is Charlie Glamanco. He was rude and basically told me my issue is not his problem. He was unwilling to work with us and we will NEVER buy a car from them again. As a matter of fact I will continue posting negative reviews regarding this sales manager as he was unprofessional, unhelpful and rude. He hung up on me. If this is what Apple Honda has representing them then they deserve to go out of business....

I bought my civic here in 2014 and I love it. I had always had some reservations because when I was buying my first civic the process seemed incredibly rushed and there was no negotiating on the financing. 2 years later I was in for a service visit, an inspection, when Orlando comes and brings me to the showroom. He offered a free oil change for speaking with him, so I indulged.We began talking about the new models. I from the start maintained I had no intention of buying a car. Then came the famous "well let's look at at the numbers" except the numbers didn't come until after credit checks and deposits. I even tried walking away at the deposit stage and I was shown the refund policy saying if I don't like the finance options I can get a refund. I was then told I need the deposit to see the numbers. Mind you I've maintained the entire time that I don't want to buy a car, I don't want to take a new loan, I don't want to spend 3K on a down payment. I just wanted to hear their appraisal of my vehicle which is what they said this was about in the beginning.Well Monday comes and Orlando is trying to switch my insurance and registration to a vehicle that I never said I wanted to buy, we took only a short test drive in what I thought was just an example of how civics had changed. I didn't even inspect it, let alone want to buy it. So I told him to cancel everything and I'd be coming in at our previously scheduled time for my refund.Well of course he's "busy and will be right out" when I get there. 20 minutes later he walks in the front door with a fresh Starbucks drink. I'm still waiting while he and John the finance guy go and speak with the manager. Then the crowd come over and say "What happened I thought we had a deal? How can we make this work?" So I say "no I never wanted to make a purchase, which I was clear about from the start, I'm just here to cancel is all." The managers were fine, I'm sure upset but courteous and said no problem. Orlando however was clearly angry. I explained again I was in no place to take on more debt in my life, and he still tries to tell me I wouldn't be. I don't know what he calls taking on a larger loan than your current loan? When I said I'm not here to fight , he said well apparently you are. Thrust my credit card at me saying "that's it. I'm done, you can go. Don't waste any more of your precious time" As I turn and walk out he then says "Have a nice life." Now I was already a customer and would have continued using the service department and most likely would have bought a future car there, but not any more. He could've just been civil and said Hope to do business in the future or nothing at all! Service department did good work every mine I visited, thy would of course pull the you need to change your filters, change coolant, etc. but wouldn't pressure you to say yes if you didn't want to take care of it immediately. Unfortunately all their systems are integrated and wouldn't trust my file there to be unsoiled, and can't trust leaving my vehicle there any longer.

Beware!!!New car sales shows me a new 2016 honda civic ex-t with my 2 young boys, goes over the whole car, watches me take pictures of the car, we negotiate price and I am ok with deal, states the price I am giving you is just to "move a piece of metal" when I pick the car up at night and in a rainstorm, drive it off the lot, 2 days later I realize they put me in a civic ex, a lesser car, feel like they cheated meBeware

We went to Apple Honda to look for a used car, and found a very nice Honda Fit. We put down a good faith deposit to hold the car, and our salesperson began processing the loan. He called us back the next day and informed us that we needed to put down, "two, three thousand dollars." When I prompted him further, explaining that there is a big difference; one thousand dollars, in fact, between two and three thousand, he simply repeated that we needed to put down, "two, three thousand," in order to secure the loan. After this vague bunch of information, I decided I'd rather not continue with the transaction. When I called to ask him to refund my deposit, I was told nearly every time that he was, "on a test drive." After finally reaching him, he was reluctant to say that he could process the refund that day, but after a few more phone calls finally submitted. He said it would take, "a couple of days," for my refund to process. I asked him if by a couple he meant two, to which he responded, "two, three days." Clearly this salesperson has an affinity for vague information. He went on to promise me a day by which I'd have the refund of my good faith deposit, which of course has not come to fruition. Absolutely the worst customer service experience I've ever had.

After 20 years and 4 Hondas serviced at Garsten/Apple Honda I have always found the service to be very expensive. It did not matter whether I had a service plan, was a VIP member or whatever. I last took my Fit (worst car I've ever had) and it had to be kept overnight for servicing. $1100.00+ later the initial problem was still occurring. After returning to Apple and another overnight stay nothing could be found. Drove across the street to fill up and the battery died right in the gas station. Car is now running well but I think I am done with Hondas and Apple.

I had leased from this dealership twice before previously, with good experiences. So I decided to use them again. They emailed me an ad for a Honda Odessey that looked like a great price. We went to the dealership to look at the car with every intention of leasing it again. We test drove a car that was presented ad the car we were buying but I later found it was not. We decided to buy the car listed,. The salesmen told us a price that was a $1,000 more than the ad. I told him that was not the price in the ad. He went to the managers who told him we should read the fine print. I happened to have the ad with me so I read him the fine print and asked him where it listed the extra $1,000. He went back to the managers at the desk and they stuck to the story. I asked him if the internet manager had placed the ad and he said yes. I said to check with him. He did and than went back to speak to the managers at the desk again. When he came back he told me I was correct and that the ad was for the price I claimed it was for. He than told me the car was sold. Right!He than tried to lease me an alternate Odessey at an absurd price. I said I knew the price was way to high and how could he quote a price like that to a good customer. He told me he had to start high. He finally gave us a medium price car but said for a color we wanted he would have to find it by the next day to keep the deals for the month. The used car manager who I knew finally came over and said there was no reason the car could not be bought the following Monday and he could get us the car in the color and price that was fair. He also offered to help fix a dent on our turn in car. I thought great finally service. It didn't last long, the salesman called us back Monday and told us he could 't find the car in the color. Right! He said he would call us back. Never heard from him. He actually did us a favor. We finally went to another dealership and leased the car we originally wanted at a much lower rate with much better service. Something changed in this dealership over the years and not for the better.

I don't mind coming in for service and waiting because the dealership is welcoming and congenial. I appreciate the good workmanship, and timeliness of the repairs and well as the support at the counter. Everyone does a great job.This is a separate question, and not part of the review, when tires are rotated are they balanced at that time as well? I have an upcoming alignment/balancing for my next scheduled appt to correct wear on my tires which were rotated the appt before last. Just checking in on this, thanks!

Beware buyers, this place is full of crook salesmen. They are ruthless professional liars. They will charge you additional fees and hidden xxxxxxxx charges. Make sure you are on alert and listen to everything they say. Take their words with a grain of salt and ask lots of question. Make sure to have them explain and go over with you on all the charges and fees on the bill. Make sure to have them write down everything and give you copies of everything!!! That way they don't alter the deal with extra charges. Don't let them get you with "extended warranty xxxxxxxx fees" on the bill. Don't drive all the way to riverhead to deal with these professional liars. Take your money to another car dealer where it is being run by decent business ethics.

I was waiting for a specific model and color that none of the dealers in the northeast had available. Several dealers said they had the car I wanted on order but Apple delivered. I had a very tight schedule and a small window to take care of finance, insurance and to pick the car up. I connected Eric at Apple with my insurance company and credit union, so when I arrived at the dealer all the paperwork was complete and ready to go including registration. I signed the sales agreement, delivered a copy to my credit union so I could pick up a check, returned to the Apple with the check and I was on my way in my new car. It was quick, and easy with no hassles. With their help and preparation, I was able to fit the whole transaction into my schedule without spending hours at the dealership.

Recent.y traded in. my 2012 CRV for a 2015. Their service e department is the best as is John who,has serviced the car over the years Jeff Schwepps is a great salesman and we discussed what I could afford and what would warrant me doing a trade in. I told him I did not want any extras as far as warranty , bumper to bumper coverage , car washes etc. I explained I had all of that on previous car and wound up not using any of it except for maybe 5 car washes. Jeff came up,with a price that I was comfortable with and said itbsoukd on,y add 2 years to my existing loan. The day I came to pick up the car I was led into see Paul Weis in finance and right off the bat the monthly payment was higher. I asked why and explained again I didn't want any "extras " He went to work on his. calculator and came back with a lower number. I thought he had removed the extras I told him I did not want. I signed the papers and he handed me a card for prepaid car washes An alarm went off in my head and when I asked what the prepaid car washes was about he said " You are a repeat customer and we want to make you happy" Well shame on me for not reading what I was signing. When I got home and went over the paperwork there were all the prepaid car washes, bumper to bumper, extended warranty and road side assistance I specifically stated that I didn't want When he lowered the price h didn't remove them he extended the length of the loan. Now I was extending my existing loan for 4 years instead of 2. I called immediate,y the next morning to have it all removed and was told the paperwork had been filed and it could not be removed. The vehicle had been driven 17 miles and they would not remove the extras Jeff Bracken did refund mr $795 and threw in 5 oil changes and the price of a smart phone navigation app and cables but as nice as he is it was like putting a band aid on an open wound. I am still stuck paying thousands for services I clearly stated I did not want. They said that Paul did.me a "favor" for giving me all this protection and coverage on my beautiful brand new car. I stopped in without the intention of buying a car but after speaking with John Jay about an Odyssey I saw on GrooveCar.com he took the time to show it to me as well as a few others. WORST CAR BUYING EXPERIENCE EVER!!! Not only did Apple Honda attempt the worst bait and switch I've ever seen on pricing, but they also pulled bait and switch on their sales staff, so you couldn't get a straight answer on the prices the previous person you spoke to had committed. After thinking we finally had secured pricing from them, we went in to sign papers only to hear from the manager Gary that the quoted pricing "would be impossible for them to do". The salesman we'd spoken was mysteriously off that day even though we'd scheduled a specific appointment with him just the night before. When we asked the manager to call him on his cell to verify the deal we were told they didn't have his cell number! WE WALKED OUT AND HAVE SINCE HEARD SIMILAR EXPERIENCES FROM OTHER LOCAL PEOPLE.

I went to Apple Honda at 16k miles to get an inspection and to have them look into the check engine light. The fixed the issue causing the check engine light under the warranty. When they called to go over what was needed they quoted the usual, both internal and external filters. Then he said the brakes were worn out and although they "just passed inspection", they should be replace, especially the rear..... I said to hold off as I didn't have the $260 dollars at the time. So I went online and ordered brake pad. pulled the rear and they were like new! Literally a quarters width lower than the new one I held in my hand. The I pulled the front thinking they made a mistake and meant the front pads.... Nope same thing barely worn...... They were going to do unnecessary work in order to puff up the bill.

Just a cursory overview, I purchased a 2010 Honda Accord at this dealership in 2010, as well had my mother, and former supervisor come here for their car purchasing needs as well. This is where my exuberance for this dealership ends.I've been actively having my car serviced at this dealership since I purchased it in 2010. Well today, on 5/8/15, this place really blew me away. I brought my car in for servicing which included the need for an oil change, detailing, and a NYS inspection. Now, anyone that comes to this dealership for servicing knows that as part of any servicing, even a menial oil change, they always perform a free multi-point inspection of your car as part of the process. Naturally one would assume that they would do this before they actually inspected the vehicle. Clearly, if you have an issue on the emissions side, that would have to be dealt with during the NYS inspection regardless, but at least they could spot anything on the safety side before they were to begin the actual inspection. Anyways, a little more than one hour after dropping my car off, I receive a call from Bob Liardi telling me that my inspection failed because my license plate bulb was out, a LICENSE PLATE BULB!!! How that even constitutes part of a safety inspection is beyond me. We're not talking a headlight bulb, brakes, taillight bulb, tie-rods etc. We're talking a license plate bulb. Now anyone knows that this bulb costs about $2 at any auto store and takes all of about 1 minute to replace. So naturally to avoid having to pay another $10 to have the car reinspected, I ask what it would cost to replace the bulb. Mr. Liardi tells me with "parts and labor, you're looking at $27"!!! I can't even begin to describe to you how ludicrous this sounded to me. I proceeded to inform Bob that I would change it myself on their lot and that they could scrap the detailing on the car due to this incident much to his chagrin.If this wasn't bad enough, this dealership, for as long as I've known them, has offered a rewards program which included the ability to earn cash back on any service you had done at the place. It wasn't much, but if you let the points build up after while, it could get you a free oil change now and again. Suffice it to say, I was one of the rubes that let my point balance build up. So, when I went to pay for my failed inspection and oil change today, I was going to use my points balance to offset some of the cost. The woman at the cashier window saw me with the VIP card in my hand and told me that they didn't accept the card anymore and then she slapped the cashier window where a flyer was posted stating that "no more points would be accrued beyond January 2nd, and that all points balances would expire on April 30th". Now again, these people have no problem emailing me weekly ads on their in stock inventory, as well as other unsolicited sales offers. One would think that, being that they have my email address as well as my phone number, they would offer me a courtesy call/email to tell me that the program was ending. Alas, this wasn't in the cards since they knew they would be able to screw enough people over that wouldn't be coming into the dealership in this 4-month time frame. All in all, this is a terrible dealership and you should avoid it at all costs. Trust me and go to a more reputable dealer. This place just lives to scam you any which way they can, just trying to give any prospective buyers a heads-up of what you will be in store for if you do wind up going here, though I hope that all will heed this review and be smarter than that.

What a wonderful experience I had buying a car for my son. I have never owned a Honda, but had heard great things about the 2015 Honda CRV. I decided to go to Apple in Riverhead, which is about 10 miles from my town. From the minute I walked in, I got a good feeling about the place. Gerard was knowledgeable, friendly, and a very "low-pressure" type of salesperson. I received an extremely fair price and was so impressed at how quickly I was able to pick up the new car once it arrived on their lot. I knew I made the right choice because each time I went to the dealership, it was busy with people looking and buying cars.

Leasing the car from Orlando was a pleasure and problem free. Love the car. One out of three visits to service department was a bad experience. Had an appointment for oil change at 9:30 am. When I got there I was told there was a 2 1/2 hour delay, I was a little perturbed thinking they should have called me before I went to the dealership. I asked if they would put me in line and I would take the car and do some errands I had around Riverhead and would come back in two hours for my oil change. I was assured the paperwork would be done and ready. At around 11:30 I received a phone call telling me that the shop was still backed up by at least another 2 hours. There was no apology for any inconvience to me, all that was said by the service advisor (which hence forth I will make note of the names) was "you can reschedule", which did not in any way improve my mood or my opinion of Apple Honda. I have since rescheduled that oil change and hoping for a better experience.

Horrible service! I was going to buy a brand new car but was unsure at that moment. The sales person named CHRISTOPHER talked me into it by saying that he receives commission making me feel guilty for not wanting to buy it. I then told him I would think about it in the next 5 days and when the 5th day came, he was calling my insurance like crazy (to get the transfer of plates) and I called him and informed him that I was no longer interested. He then got mad at me and hung up on me disrespectfully. Since I had a paid a $250 deposit, I went to Apple Honda to get my deposit back and so the sales person (who guilted me into doing this) was busy with helping a family out, I waited 50 minutes. I then saw he walked outside to talk to a customer who was looking around for cars and then came back in to make a deal. I got extremely mad because I obviously knew he was making me wait since I didn't want to buy the car and he was also mad at me. I told the customer nearby to not buy the car from him and the manager started screaming at me. He threatened me by saying he wasn't going to give me my refund and was going to call the cops. Since I didn't do anything illegal and knew I wasn't going to get arrested, I waited and the police officer got everything straightened and guaranteed my refund. POINT of my story: don't ever let anyone ESPECIALLY at this place, talk you into a deal. They will make you feel guilty as this man did to me, telling me that he got commission and basically saying that the deals he made was the way he fed his family. "Manager" is extremely rude, yelled at me in front of my 12 and 9 year old siblings. Horrible service, never again! When you don't make the deal, they will get mad at you and as this man did, IGNORED me for an hour. Bob Sullivan is the WORST manager ever!

I traded my 2011 pilot with 2014 odyssey. They took my car in exchange with the new one now I received a bill from the previous bank for $1300. Instead of buying they returned the vehicle and the bank is charging me for wear and tear. As I returned to them they refuse to take care of that. Now I'm stuck with this amount on the top of $4200 that I paid for down payment. They took my car as they are fully responsible and they never said I would be liable for wear and tear. They just wanted to make the sale. I was fooled and betrayed. I lease every three years and I never experienced such situation before. So be sure when you are trading with them

I was told one number on a car then told a higher number a day later through text messaging! very unprofessional... They also made me drive an hour from my home and made up a huge story to try to get me in to buy their over price car. I do not recommended this place to buy a used car.

This is the most expensive Honda dealership I've gone to. I don't know how they stay in business. Oh wait. That's probably how. They sell fewer cars, but at a higher price. They are also excessively sales oriented. They really don't want to let you leave. Loud music also plays in the background. It seems to me that they are trying to get young people to buy cars. That's OK. I just hope that these young people get price comparisons at other dealerships because if they don't, they will pay too much at Apple Honda. I don't recommend this dealership.

Within 10 minutes after a test drive I bought a new Civic. The salesman was low key and did not try to twist my arm in order to get the sale. I made an offer for the car. His supervisor accepted it and I drove a brand new car home that afternoon. They made the process and paperwork so simple and uncomplicated. Everybody who has bought a new car knows what some dealers put you through to make the sale. Apple Honda was professional throughout the process.

She was able to get my color choice from another dealer and sold it to me at the price I offered. She carefully went over all the cars features and was very helpful and informative. After I got my car back the side of my car was scratch and dented by the passenger side, I went back and told the manager and instead of trying to fix the problem he gave me an attitude and told me he couldn't do anything. Please if u ever come across this place LEAVE ! They have no costumer service and once you buy the car they won't fix the problems thy will just be nasty about it. I regret ever stepping in this place because I was never treated so disrespectfully in my life.

What I love the most about coming to Apple Honda service department are all the smiling faces. They know me; call me by my name. They joke and laugh. "Good morning mister Bennett." "Hey Nathan, how are you?" From the valet to the service reps, the mechanics and even the cashier. They all know me and make me feel welcomed. The VIP treatment is really hammered home; loaner cars, free car wash, and money back on service? (with VIP card) Awesome!Then there's the repairs (maintenance). I, personally, have never had to go back time and again to get something fixed. I go to Apple once and the problem gets solved. Period. Think a repair isn't necessary? The technician will explain to you, like a human, why it is. He doesn't talk down to you and he doesn't use jargon that will soar over your head. I like that.

Long story short, I purchased a used 2010 Honda Civic on 7/19/12 with an extended warranty ($1,600). The following week I decided to cancel the extended warranty so I went to Apple Honda on 7/26/13 and completed the necessary paperwork. John Bracken told me that it would take approximately 2 to 3 weeks to credit the $1,600 to my car loan. After several phone calls, emails, and other nonsense, my car loan was finally credited 2 1/2 months later. I called Corporate Honda on 10/8/13. That evening I checked my car loan balance and sure enough, my loan was credited $1,600. I would never deal with this dealership or Finance Manager (John Bracken) again.

A new car battery was installed in my car 6 months ago. The car would not start start last week so the service department promised to tow car since the problem appeared to be the battery. They reneged on that promise at the very last moment. No longer confident in the service department's handling and repairing of my car, I had another repair shop look at it. The battery was nearly empty of the acid needed in order for it to work. After not having the use of this car for several days due to Apple Honda's refusal to stand by their original work, I had the battery replaced by the other repair shop. Apple Honda offered to replace the battery but I no longer feel that is an option considering the manner in which this matter was originally handled. I have now paid for a new battery twice since Apple Honda refuses to reimburse me. In the future, I will never have any other servicing or repairs done on my cars by this dealer nor will I ever recommend them to anyone I know.

DO NOT buy a car from 'Apple Honda' REALLY known as 'APPLE AUTO SALES' aka Garsten Motors. They have an F rating on the Better Business Bureau under this name. My friend bought a used car, notified dealership something was VERY wrong after 24 hrs! Given a loaner several days later. Jason in service is rude and hung up several times after friend asked why it was taking so long to get the car back. , Gary the SALES MANAGER rude and ordered friend & a friend who accompanied him off the lot or he'd call the police. ..all because he wanted to know why car was still 'in repair' after 15 days! VP wont return calls. Friend also witnessed another customer being given a hard time by the service dept! Unprofessional, rude and should be out of business! BUYER BEWARE!!!

My husband and I have become a Honda family in that he purchased an Accord in 2001 and I purchased an Accord in 2011. Both Accords were purchased at Apple Honda. Both buying processes were a positive experience without pressure or confusing language. Our vehicles are serviced at Apple Honda-yes, my husband still owns the 2001 Accord. The service department takes such good care of his vehicle,he may keep that Honda for another 12 years! Whenever we bring one of the cars into service,we are always given courteous attention. Any problems regarding repairs of either vehicle are thoroughly explained to us and the repairs are completed in a expedient amount of time. I have given five star ratings for all the categories listed above except for the facilities.While the service areas and the sales areas are clean and well kept, there is a need for modernization. Apple Honda is apparently going through remodeling soon. It will be interesting to see the new and improved Apple Honda,but we are sure that the service and friendly attitude toward the customer will remain the same.

We were interested in a used hybrid vehicle from Apple Honda. We were shown a filthy, dirty vehicle with missing trim. We were assured the vehicle would be delivered to us in two days time like new. We were assured that the car had blue tooth technology and that it was clean pass certified.After paying cash for the vehicle, I came to find out that the car still had a large ink stain on the back seat, a chocolate stain on the back seat headliner, the trim was STILL missing, the car was NOT clean pass certified and the blue tooth was missing.I was told to bring the car in, by the General Sales Manager, for the car to be cleaned, trim to be replaced and the blue tooth to be installed. When I brought the car in, the service department was not even aware of me and didnt have me on the appointment schedule. They did fit me in, and gave me a FILTHY loaner (sticky seats, crumbs all over the place, cigarettes and garbage in the consoles and glove compartment) that they said I might have for a day at the most.We have been REPEATEDLY lied to about the status of the repair. In trying to backpedal, they lie more. Finally, after having the loaner for over a week (longer than I drove the car I bought before I brought it in for service), we started to complain. We were met with rudeness, more lies and my husband was even cursed at by the Service Manager and told that if he kept acting like an ------- that wed get less than nothing from them. I immediately went to the dealer in person to complain. The sales manager told me that I was lucky to even have a car to drive from them and when I complained about the amount of gas this loaner uses compared to the hybrid that I bought for economic reasons, he thought throwing money at me was the answer. When I said that would help he was AGHAST that money did not solve the problem.Needless to say, I was AGAIN promised my car for today. Im still waiting. I dont expect it, or a check, or anything else from these rude men. Do not deal with any of them, especially their incompetent, lying, service department. If I could tell them to keep the car and get my money back at this point, I would.

I initially worked with Eric Nicols over the phone, agreeing IN WRITING via email on the terms of a deal. Apple matched a written ad and offer by a local competitor who simply did not have the color I wanted. I gave a deposit and stopped pursuing a transaction with my local dealer. Eric seemed like a terrific guy and connected me with John Jay to complete the transaction. Then the story started to change. The color I wanted was gone - but they insisted they could get it. WRONG. Could not get it. Offered me a different color or my chosen color in a different trim level. Since they appeared to be working so hard and seemed like decent people, I wanted to stick by them, even if I couldn't get exactly what I was promised. After driving over an hour in heavy traffic to close the deal I sat down with JohnJay, we started to write up the contract. Suddenly I noticed the downpayment was over 1500$ higher than I was promised (in writing by eric!) When I asked why, JJ said "fees". Fees? "Yes, you worked this all out with Eric on the phone. This is what I was told. I can't change it." I showed the written agreement, clearly stated in an email on my phone. "I can't do anything." JJ said "We are not making any money on this deal as it is...." I asked to see Eric, who was "gone for the weekend." I told JJ I would connect with Eric on Monday and straighten everything out. I sent a detailed email which included the terms he and I had agreed to. By Monday afternoon I thought better of working with these people and cancelled the deal. Long story short, Apple and their staff embody all the bad stereotypes about car salesmen. False promises, half-truths, and blatant lies. Think twice before driving all the way to Riverhead on the promise of a good deal. The strategy is clear: Promise people whatever they want, and after they drive all the way to Eastern Long Island, try to alter the deal with additional fees and charges. They clearly hope that you are either too stupid to notice or too tired to care. A written agreement means little to these people - as do good business ethics or decency.As for the positive reviews, take them with a grain of salt. Anyone can have their friends and family post good things on these boards. My account is genuine and true. STAY AWAY from APPLE. Better to pay a little more, stay local and know exactly with whom you are dealing.

We were hussled on the price for a 2011 Honda Accord. During 2 trips to Apple Honda we discussed the price for a Honda Accord at the internet listing of $19,500. When we were ready to buy the car they informed us there was an additional fee of $995. Frank said this fee was highly visible on their web site. But unless you knew exactly where to look one would never find it. This feels to us as if we have been decieved on the price and Apple Honda does not conduct business ethically. Shame on you.

Our sales person was Bonnie Campbell and we purchased a used 2010 Honda Pilot EX in April 2013. She was very pleasant, knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. When we took a test drive she pointed out all the features on the Pilot and any additional options that were added on this vehicle. We never felt pressured during the buying process to make quick decision and she worked with us on the price so we could get a deal we were comfortable with. This is the first time we have purchased a Honda. After visiting other dealers and talking with other sales people, our experience with Bonnie and will make us return again when we are in the market for another car.

Unfortunately, although i had high expectations for this dealer, what i received was anything but even decent service. I attempted to have my door lock fixed and the dealer told me it would be 2 hours. When i went there, it took 3 hours to do and the car wasn't even fixed! The dealer took out parts i did not request, saying "it was necessary" for an excuse. When closing time came (it took THAT long), they tried to make me drive home without a door! They try to scam you out of any dollar they can make, and the service is ineffective. I am seriously upset by their service.i rely on reviews on this site, which were originally good. I am sorry to say this, but don't let apple honda of riverhead take you for a ride, if you even have a car left.

We were making an out of state purchase(4 Hrs from this dealership). Contacted Jeff on phone for a pre-owned luxury car. The car seemed to be very good, lowest price on the internet. He was very nice on phone and we decided to make a $500 deposit(Refundable) so that we can go and check out the car over the weekend. Also told them that we have another car to trade and discussed on a ball-park price for trade in. We went on the Sunday and finalized everything. They seemed to be very nice. Got a fair quote on our trade-in after some discussions. But the sale was not finalized because banks were closed on Sunday and the manager(John J) said that we can come up next weekend and take the car with us. We tried contacting them entire next week to make sure that all the paper work went through and that we were on track to pick up our dream car on the weekend. I kept getting response it is going all fine and that I will be contacted on Friday with bank details for payments, intesret rate etc. Till Friday evening I did not get any call(John J or the sales man witj whom we wpoke were not just ready to come on the phone). I kept getting the response from receptionist that they are tied up and will call back. Finally at 8 pm on Friday I got call from John J saying that car has been sold! He was not just ready to talk anything and was in a rush saying that the dealership is closing and the alarm will sound. I pushed him to talk for couple mins and he just said that we were not able to give you that price for your trade in and hence we have sold the car. I asked him, if that was the problem you should have called me up and told me that do you still want to buy the car.(We had finalized the deal last week only it self so I was being nice that I could have taken that option too and sold my car my self). John's reply was that this did not strike me!!! And when we were there he kept on talking about their 50 years of history and all that and this does not strike him!!! Nor does he have any courtesy to inform earlier. Clearly, they got another buyer(where there may have been no trade-in hassle or the buyer paid few hundred dollars more who knows) and these guys sold that car. No one came to answer my call entire Friday as they must have been waiting to finalize this deal and then only talk to me. Even though this dealer seems to be great, lot of great cars, great reviews but our experience was filled with DISHONESTY from APPLE HONDA. Don't recommend out-of-state buyers to this place at all. Also if the dealer has no integrity and this kind of dishonest attitude, even the local purchasers can be at risk with their car purchase as anything could be wrong with the car and APPLE HONDA acts with DISHONESTY and NO INTEGRITY.

I am writing to revise a prior rating after a recent positive experience. I stand behind prior statements that live chat is a waste of time, but I perservered with direct phone contact and reached a sales person who was very helpful. He supplied pictures, openely shared the "prep" fee and arranged to view. The long ride from CT was worth it as, my wife is now driving a beautiful car at the the fairest price around even considering the prep fee. All told, this was the easiest car buying experience I've had once I reached a sales person.

The Sales Staff was excellent, especially Orlando Amadeo, he answered every question I had to ask, and going above and beyond to satisfy me as a customer. The Finance Manager John P. Bracken was also excellent, friendly, working on the price and interest rates to the best of his ability to get us the best deal possible. What I enjoyed the most was the feeling that I was dealing with human beings, as opposed to "robots" only there to make a profit for the dealer. I WILL be back for service and future business because the employees make you feel at home, and the service department is excellent.

Tried twice to inquire on the availability of a used vehicle. I reached a person both times who asked for my contact info and then failed to phone or email me. The last time I actually referenced non-response from the earlier inquiry in live chat. Then my live chatter disasppeared and I was left talking to myself. I've bought and/or leased 7 Hondas--the last 6 from Apple. Every experience has been positive from start to finish. My use of the service dept. has been minimal--it's a Honda!!! The occasional recall has been done quickly and efficiently. The sales dept. has always been informative and friendly--suggesting alternatives and options over the years when I wanted something different. I have no complaints regarding pressure to sell. Bonnie Campbell has been terrific with the last two purchases. She patiently answered all my questions with knowledge and honesty to help me make the best decision--she's the best! My requests to skip the inevitable presentation for added coverages has been accepted and made my last several closings pleasant, quick, and easy.I have every reason to continue using Apple and will always look for Bonnie Campbell.

Called to inquire about a 2008 Honda Pilot listed for sale by Apple Honda. Talked to Eric (Internet Sales Man.) and asked him to check on the tires and call me back. He did not return the call so I called him and *again* asked him to check and call me back. Eric never returned my call so I bought a Pilot from DCH Toyota in Brunswick, NJ (and had a wonderful experience there). Apple is an interesting dealer, am not sure why they advertise cars on the Internet if they are too lazy to do a little legwork and answer a few questions. Go elsewhere if possible!

Advertised price got me into the dealership, then they added $995.00 Prep charge. They would not budge on there price, and said they would call if they reduced the price. The salesman didn't even offer me another vehicle, he just let me walk out acting like he had a pot of gold for sale. I need a car now not a month from now and the hidden prep charge is rediculous. Avoid them if you are looking to buy immediately at the advertised price.

We were hesitant to purchase from a dealer that was 4 hours away and out-of-state, but Apple had the best price and we went for it. Everything about the sale went smoothly. When we returned to PA, however, the truck would not pass the state inspection. We called Alan and let him know and they made everything right! They paid for the repairs in our home state that were necessary to pass inspection! They have a high level of integrity and we would recommend them to anyone!

The advertised price was very attractive, but indeed they wanded add some service which was mandatory according to what their salesman said, so after that the price become no better then any other places. The trade offer was very low. These days everyone can check Kelly Blue Book, so I was surprised by them treating customer like a fool.

In visiting Apple Honda in Riverhead a few times in making a vehicle selection between a Honda and other manufacturers; Jason Smith was knowledgeable regarding the different Honda models both new and previously owned. The model I had chosen was not actually on the lot but Jason explained that with the Honda dealerships that I would be able to make a selection of the vehicle preference in color and package. The vehicle arrived and we were able to work through he and the financing staff to complete the transaction within a week. Jason is a natural easy going informed salesperson. There was no pressure on my visits to select one vehicle over another and when the one I had selected was not available on the lot; it was great to see that he and his dealership and other area dealerships are there to serve their customers and make the experience seamlessly easy and pleasant.Thank you Jason and the sales/financing staff at Apple Honda!

We just purchased our fourth vehicle from this Honda dealer. This dealer is very friendly and courteous, which is rare today. We have dealt with salesman John Jay Morgan for all four of our vehicles. He was a pleasure to deal with. He was very knowledgeable about the vehicles, he listened to us regarding our price range and what we wanted in our vehicles and he went to great lengths to get us the deals we were looking for. He never made it feel like there was any pressure to buy a vehicle and he was very patient with us while we made our decisions. When we picked up the vehicles, he had everything ready and waiting for us and there was never any hidden fees or extra costs of any kind. Paul in the finance department made all the paperwork as smooth as possible and he explained everything in detail. I would recommend buying from this Honda dealer and I would highly recommend salesman John Jay Morgan when buying your vehicles. Not only did we get great Honda cars but we made a good friend there too.

This was one of the most pleasant new car purchases I have had in over forty years of buying cars. Everyone at the dealership was pleasant and made me and my wife feel important to them. We drove several models, and there was no high pressure tactics or price trickery at all. Eddie Kuezek our salesman was accommodating, pleasant and very knowledgeable. We were looking for a used Honda Pilot for some time and just couldn't find any inventory in Nassau County. We did our homework, knew what the vehicle should cost and knew what we wanted. Checked Apple Honda's website and were impressed by their inventory and prices (much lower than any dealership in Nassau County). Took the long ride to Riverhead the next day and boy am I glad that we did. We met Eric (who we spoke to on the phone) who introduced us to salesman Michael V. Mike worked hard to find us the perfect used 2008 Pilot, was extremely knowledgeable and patient. Price negotiation was simple (their prices were already much, much lower than other dealerships). Met with the finance fellow (John) who was also very nice, honest and took the time to explain all our options to us. Picked up the vehicle 3 days later. It was detailed beautifully and then the next day we took it on a 12 hour round trip drive to pick up our son at college. The Pilot drove beautifully. I would not hesitate to buy another vehicle from this dealership and to recommend them to family and friends. There was absolutely no uncomfortable car sales pressure which was so refreshing.

I drove 65 miles from Queens to see an 08 Odyssey and was not disappointed. Met with Ben who showed me the car and after a test drive and some negotiation, I purchased the Odyssey. Ben let me use a loaner car to drive and have a quick lunch as the paperwork was being finalized. John explained all of the financing information and after signing the paperwork, I drove my Odyssey home. Orlando did not rush him out the door or treat him as non-important, even though he wasn't buying anything that day. He took time to thoroughly explain the car to my husband and test drive a vehicle with him that day. We have delt with Honda for the past 10 years. We have been very pleased with Apple up till now. Our lease was up and looked at our options. We closed on a used car deal (2008 Accord)on the day the lease expired. We turned in the lease and met with business mgr Paul Weiss. He used our timing and credit score to play with points to make us to buy $3800 of options. He was not honest with us and used us to hit a home run. We were there with no car because we just gave them our leased car and he used that as a tool.We left there with a very bad taste in our mouths. I will not recoment Apple Honda to anyone we care about. We love the car but felt we were taken advantage of. We should have checked out other dealers before we went to Apple but trusted that they would treat us fairly.

I have not bought a new car for my wife in 15 years. We were looking for a mid size SUV, and as previous Honda owners, went to Apple Honda first. We also looked at several other makes, but after the second test drive, the choice was clear. We decided on the 2011 CRV4WDEX-L. Our salesperson Orlando was terrific. He explained all of the differences and prices of the various CRV models, and is thoroughly familiar with his products. Two days after purchase, we had 8" of snow, and the CRV performed as promised. My wife, who previously, would not drive with an inch of slush on the road, was totally confident. It has all the creature comforts and the dash and controls are well designed. It was a great experience. My wife tells me everyday how much she loves her CRV.

He is very knowledgeable of the product, kind and a very accommodating/patient person. I was undecided about the 6 or 4 cylinder, drove him crazy and he never made me feel uncomfortable. Orlando spent a long time with us on our intitial visit and answered all our questions. He could have chosen not to spend time with us because we live 70 miles away from the dealership and he could have assumed that we would not buy at AppleHonda. After that he waited patiently until we made up our minds which took about two more weeks. The thing we liked best was that Orlando seemed very excited for us and that we were his main concern. You could tell that he likes the Honda product and enjoys selling it. Also, we appreciated the appointment for pick up and the time he spent with us then. In July we finally accepted it was a good time to trade in our beloved old car a HUGE decision and financial commitment because our income is limited. We did the research and test drove several models, working with 7 sales people at various dealerships in Suffolk County. From the moment we stepped on the Apple lot, sales and reception staff were friendly and attentive, offering refreshments. When Orlando came out to meet us he was energetic, personable, well informed and supremely patient with all our questions. It was late in the day and there wasnt enough time to test drive the models we were interested in so we made an appointment to return in a couple of days, but couldnt come back as planned. Orlando called to inquire about how my father was doing after his surgery and told us hed be ready to assist us whenever we were wanted do some test drives. While he was eager to reschedule he was not aggressive. By the time we were ready to look at cars again, a few weeks had passed and it was like starting from scratch. You get the picture... bringing out comparison charts and on-line ratings, forgetting which cars had which incentives, hundreds of questions, taking lots of notes, making appointments and having to cancel them, re-doing test drives... a nightmare for the average salesperson who wants to make a sale and move on to the next buyer. The process took more than 6 weeks from start to finish, due to multiple family illnesses and because we couldnt sufficiently narrow down the choices. Most other sales people were tolerant but some couldnt hide their impatience. [At a different dealership, a sales person told us he didnt even need to test drive a car before he bought it you just decide what kind of car you think youd like and go buy it. Yeah, right!]During all of this Orlando exhibited more patience than any of them, and his enthusiasm never flagged. He had a good sense of humor but never teased us about our indecisiveness; he tried to lessen the stress of the situation, asking about our priorities and concerns to help us narrow down the choices, going online with us when we had questions comparing one car with another. He seemed sincere in his desire to help us find the car and deal that would work best for us. Our final decision was influenced a lot by not only the cars features and price, but also by how positive we felt about Orlando, his level of integrity and helpfulness throughout this process, and assurances he would intercede in the unlikely event we ran into problems with the new car.Once we decided what we wanted (a Civic) Orlando worked with us to make the deal fit our expectations for price, incentives, trade-in, and so on, and we didn't feel pressured. The follow-up talk with Paul, the finance person, was low-key, low pressure and there were no surprises in numbers or financing. The car was prepped and ready to pick up as scheduled. I have not yet dealt with the service department (knock wood, that will not happen until its time for an oil change!). If you are thinking of buying a Honda, go to Apple in Riverhead and ask for Orlando. Better yet, call ahead and tell Orlando what cars you want to look at, and he will have them ready to test drive at a time convenient for your schedule.

My husband and I had been to a few other Honda dealerships in Suffolk County and were not pleased at all, in fact, we unfortunately were ready to pick up our desired vehicle and recieved a phone call from the dealer stating they made a mistake on the price and that we had to come up with $1,400.00 extra. We walked away from the deal of course, but we were feeling kind of beat up and worn out from the experience and the dishonest salespeople. However, when we walked into Honda, we were greeted by Jason, a friendly and honest sales rep. He never pressured us, and we didn't have to go back and forth on the price. It was haggle free!!! When we picked up the vehicle the sunroof wasn't working, but I got in the the next day and they fixed it while I waited. It was stress free. Jason was a gem, he called us a couple of times to follow up on our experience and to see how we were enjoying the vehicle. It was nice to see that he just didn't disappear after he sold the vehicle. So, overall our experience with Apple Honda was superb! Everyone from sales to service have been profressional and courteous. 5 STARS!!!!

Our salesman John Jay Morgan couldn't have been more helpful.We were just "looking" and he respected that fact. We told him what we had in mind (A CRV) and he pointed out a few. We saw one that looked MINT with low mileage, John Jay went and got the keys, let us take for a drive. When we got back, we talked about the vehicle and he offered to let us know the previous owners name so we could contact him. He also gave us the CarFAx info. We put down a small deposit,went and checked with our credit union and ultimately bought the vehicle.From start to finish, it was an easy and pleasant experience.Prior to this in 2006, our daughter also bought a car from Apple and at that time she and us were happy with the dealer.lucian jablonski

Orlando worked with us on the purchase of two new cars. He showdd us what we wanted, didn't try to sell us what we didn't want, and worked with us on the price for both cars. He worked with us quickly and courteously, and got right down to business (we knew what we wanted and how much we were willing to pay). All paperwork was complete when we picked up the cars and we drove away happy customers. Paul in finance offered us insurace and other options, explained the products he was offering and I did not feel pressured into purchasing something we did not want (as other dealers sometimes do - they can be ruthless). Overall, it was a pleasant experience and I believe we received good value for our money.

From the first call I made to the dealership, everyone was friendly. The salesperson I was given stayed later than his scheduled time to accomidate my wife and I.He lest us see all models and let me test drive the one i liked. Orlando took the time to show my "Wife" every feature the car had. (Not ignoring my wife like so many car dealers do).He tried to help in every way with financing to calling my insurance agent. Even the finance officer Paul was honest and helpful. I have been to many dealers in my time, but Apple Honda made me feel very comfortable and I would recommend them to everyone I know.

His approach was great, not the typical salesman approach that applies pressure on you to buy something you may not want. Would definitely recommend him to any one buying or leasing a car. I definitely would not return to Nardy Honda where my wife's car was leased from and where I lease my CRV, given a recent experience with one of the sales associate from Nardy being highly aggressive and nasty to my wife on the telephone recently. Apple Honda is a great dealership. I dealt with Heidi through the internet at first, then with Alan at the dealership and Paul in finance. They located a vehicle in the color we wanted and when we were set to pick up the vehicle, there was a problem with our title on our trade in. They were very nice and actually held the vehicle for 2 weeks while we waited for the correction from the DMV in Albany. I first visited Apple in Dec. 2009. I was pretty sure I wanted a CR-V but my wife and I wanted to check it out in person first. We were assigned Greg Wire as our salesman. He took his time to explain the features and showed us the FIT as a cheaper alternative. He didn't pressure us or give us a hard sell but he did push the sandwiches that Apple had for their visitors. (They weren't bad). I didn't want to buy a car during the winter months and my current car ('95 Honda) was running well. I received a post card from him a month later just to remind me that he was still there if I needed anything else. In May I was ready and this was the best part. He remembered me and from that point everything flew. We discussed extras on the phone and agreed upon a price. I never left home. The car was ready in a few days, insurance Ids were done through Emails, and odds and end were taken care of through emails and phone calls. Things were going too smooth so I expected to encounter problems at the showroom. Instead, the plates were ready, the papers were ready, the financial transactions moved quickly, my extra was installed, and there were no surprises. Greg put the plates on the car and explained all the features and controls and I was on my way home. Greg was just wonderful in this entire process. He was efficient and didn't waste my time. I was in and out in about an hour. GREAT SERVICE. My wife and I are both happy and have no complaints. PS - The CR-V is a great car!

This is the third car I have bought from Apple Honda. Jeff Schepps was my salesman on this purchase. We have bought 3 cars from Apple Honda and have had an excellent experience each time. Jeff is extremely knowledgeable and was very helpful in explaining the new features of the 2011 Pilot EXL. From our first purchase of a new Pilot in 2002, a used 2003 Pilot last year, and this most recent purchase, we are extremely pleased with the overall helpfulness and professionalism of this dealership. We also have our maintenance services done at Apple Honda. Although it is not the least expensive service department, we have always been satisfied with the workmanship and honesty of the service team. I would rather pay a little bit more and know that I am being treated fairly by the people fixing my car. This dealership is one of those places that I recommend to my friends because it has earned my trust and my business. Gary Nielsen (pre-owned sales) and Ron Vassallo (VP/sales) have a great team of sales people like Jeff who are dedicated to helping customers find a great value for their money. Scott Manus in the financing department was a big help as well.

Coming to Apple Honda was one of the best decisions I have ever made when it came to me buying a new (used) car. First of all, my salesman, Ryan was SUPER friendly and knowledgeable. I told him what I was able to afford (which isn't much) and without any hesitation he was able to show me several cars that were all to my liking. When I decided to buy a 2006 Accord I was absolutely ecstatic when he told me I could drive home with it THAT DAY! I never would have thought that buying a car was that simple! Kelly was amazing! From the moment I stepped foot in the dealership he made me feel welcomed and was nothing but helpful. He worked with me and made it possible for me to get the car of my dreams. . I went to Apple Honda in Riverhead NY. My mother needed a car and did not have any experience in buying a car. I went in to the dealership and worked out the deal. I brought my mother in to see the car and drive it and sign the paperwork. On the day of delivery they called my mother to come into the dealership two hours before the scheduled pickup time knowing I could not make it there at that time. In my absents the finance Manager George and the Sales Man Jeff changed the deral around and talked my mother into buying an expensive, needless waranty. They told her that it would be refunable if we decided we did not need it. 4 Months later the dealership still refuses to give the money back. They refuse to return phone calls and pretend they are not in the office when we drive to the dealership. I now had to file a case with 5th district court to try and recover the money. PLEASE BEWARE OF APPLE HONDA RIVERHEAD, GEORGE AND JEFF!!!
