BEWARE of Dave in the finance department! He used the extended warranty scam on me, which was a curve ball I was not prepared for and later found out is illegal. This is where they offer a financing rate based on what level of extended warranty they tell you is necessary to purchase as your financing is contingent on it, even though you have 800+ credit score. The warranty ended up being thousands of dollars over priced as well. Search for extended warranty scam to find out more about this. LUCKILY, I was able to cancel the warranty after the sale and get my $3k + back, when I caught on to the scam (he will focus on monthly payment only, not disclose the actual cost of the warranty , aka payment packing). He will drown you in 10,000 signatures after making you wait 3+ hours to go to the back office and close, so you just want to sign and be done. To con you even more, he will show you all the numbers (interest rates associated with each level of warranty) while writing with a highlighter, trying to confuse you. Sleazy tactics. Other than that, my salesman, Joe Fraumeni, was excellent to deal with and I have no complaints about him. I'd have given Arnold 5 stars if it wasn't for Dave in the finance office messing up the experience. Just be aware of the finance scam and you'll be okay. Hopefully, he doesn't work there anymore (or any dealership) and this doesn't matter anymore.

Purchased a used car with an extended warranty, brought vehicle back 3 times while still under dealer warranty they wanted nothing to do me. Continued to brush me off even after I had car checked by 2 other separate mechanics. My son continued to have the same issues in PA, took the car to a jeep dealer who contacted the extended warranty who covered the work, of course I had to lay out money for certain parts that were not covered at full price but would have been covered under the dealer warranty....no wonder they didn't want to fix anything. The only care about selling the car and getting your money, once you walk out that door you don't matter to them anymore. Fighting them know to get back my money that I had to lay out for repairs.

Terrible service from top to bottom. Dealt with 5 sales reps beside finance. All they were interested in was money (that I finance through them) and taking possession before the end of the month. When I said no to both, so went all service. It took 10 emails and phone calls just to get the MSRP Invoice for my bank!When the original sales rep called after I bought the car and I told her of the poor service, she couldn't get off the phone fast enough. And nothing further happened. I got a congratulatory email on the car. I responded of my disappointment over the whole process. Again, nothing happened.I spent $40,000. Doesn't that warrant even a modicum of good service? Maybe it was my fault. Maybe I should have simply cancelled the sale and gone someplace else. Love the car but buy at another dealeship!

The worst Chevy dealership visit imaginable. John the salesman couldn't be less familiar with features and options available on my model of interest. Had to educate him several times about several options and their pricing as seen on the Chevy website. Wanted to trade my current vehicle and he and the manger falsified the history report on my vehicle and tried to convince me that it was totally devalued because of an accident they wanted me to believe occurred with it. Produced a copy of a car history report that did not even match my actual vehicle which was a total scam. These are very dishonest people that will lie and go to any extreme to make a few more dollars for themselves. It's actually very sad because I purchased a Chevy from them a few years ago. STAY FAR AWAY FROM ARNOLD CHEBROLET!

Lew provided a great deal, explained the options, followed up and was patient with my questions. I had lots of questions because it's the first time I've bought a car for myself in over 30 years. He was patient and friendly even after the sale he answered my follow-up questions. When the car arrived they installed all of the dealer installed options perfectly and had the car prepped, spotless and ready when I got there. The dealership is friendly and helpful with convenient hours. The experience reminded me of buying cars when dealers cared about the customers. It's not one of those high volume anonymous buyer dealerships. I've recommended it to several people at work and recommend it to you as well. Though this review is about sales I can tell you that service is just as good as well. I took my classic Camaro there for some serious work and they did a great job.

The service department treated me like trash! Got an extended warranty and wanted to get my car fixed on a Saturday for emergency break and was told I would need to leave it for DAYS! Had to go else where. Then cHad to fight to get service on Saturday. They don't have loaners, don't offer rides home or the RR. THEY WERE REALLY NASTY AND I MEAN EVERY GUY I DEALT WITH ON THREE SEPERATE OCCASIONS!

I have purchased three (3) new autos from this dealership and had previously used three (3) other dealerships prior to discovering Arnold. I will be staying with Arnold. First, they sell a quality product. Secondly, the buying experience was pleasant and unpressured and the sales people know their product. The sales people were very helpful on two different occassions on "re-setting up" my Bluetooth phones after the initial purchase setting up. Third, the normal service experience was a pleasure and when I did need an "Acute" fix they were very accomodating and kept me up to date on the progress. The charges were very reasonable and the car was returned when promised and returned clean. I have absolutely no reservations in recommending Arnold to friends and family and have done so already

I purchased a new Corvette and within a month noticed that it was leaking oil. I called ARNOLD CHEVROLET and attempted to schedule an appointment. I was told I had to wait TWO WEEKS! The service manager RICH, said that this was his earliest available appointment. He suggested that I speak to my salesman about the problem(?) Does SALES now do SERVICE! I told him I did not feel comfortable driving the car while it was leaking oil. ARNOLD CHEVROLET COULD DO NOTHING FOR ME! I GOOGLED the problem to see if this dry sump engine had oil issues. In several AUTO FORUMS I saw that people were complaining about GM SERVICE BACK UPS...ON ALL GM CARS. Some car owners were waiting months. I thought I was safe purchasing a car that was not on the recall list.....how wrong was I. The thing that disappoints me the most is that GM knew about these defect autos for years and opted not to do anything about it.

I originally came to Arnold Chevrolet Buick a few years ago. I live in Queens and have a house on the south shore of Long Island. I was looking to trade in a previous Buick I owned for a new 2010 LaCrosse. When I googled dealerships close to my summer house, Arnold was one of the first places that came up. Since the day I walked into the dealership that spring (and walked out with a new LaCrosse) I was hooked. Everyone at Arnold is so friendly and welcoming. You really feel like family. The salesmen on the floor and mechanics in the shop are trustworthy and knowledgable. There is never any pressure and the staff truly cares. So, since I bought the LaCrosse the only service center I use is Arnold. Yes, I drive from Queens to West Babylon simply because I am so confident Arnold will take the best care of me and my car. When I was looking to trade in my LaCrosse for a 2014 Enclave, naturally my first choice was Arnold and again I had a fabulous experience thanks to Mark Whelan (who couldn't have been more patient and kind as I sat in almost every Enclave on the lot lol). I am so happy to say I am driving around in another gorgeous new car thanks to Arnold and Mark! I couldn't thank you guys enough for all the wonderful service throughout the years!

I was surprised to find i neded to drive right into the shop.Most dealers leave you looking for a parking space out side somewhere. I was taken care of right away. Most dealers have you wait in line. You need to know plate of your vehicle or vin so they can find your car. The staff was friendly. Another thing I found at most shops or dealers I was not treated like they were doing me a favor servicing my car.I was impressed and plan to continue to use Arnold for my cars service.

My only problem was that a problem with the shifter (sometimes leaving the key stuck in the ignition) could not be looked at on the Saturday when I called but had to wait until Tuesday to be addressed.

I called to make an appointment for the recall on my wife's 2013 cruze. An appointment was made for Saturday, which was great. I should have been told ahead of time that you do not yet have the parts to fix the problem. After waiting about an hour I was told that my wife's car looked fine and there should be no problem with it, but the part on the axle had to be replaced. I was then told I would have to come back when the part came in. I already knew that part had to be replaced before I came in. I think I should have been told when I made the appointment that the problem could not be corrected, and given the option of making a later appointment when they would have the parts to correct the problem. Now I have to give up another Saturday morning to get it fixed. I really have no problems with your service department, they are always very courteous and take care of any problems I have. In fact it is one of the reasons I have bought so many cars from you over the years, but I think this recall could have been handled a little better.

The initial line up procedure went smoothly as they have you remain in your vehicle, and then meet the service advisor as you drive into their service area. It was orderly and well done. Secondly, I would like to commend Service Advisor Richard Dahlgren. He went out of his way to be thorough, responsible, and competent. I've been a long term customer of this dealership, and this type of service will keep me there.

I arrived later than I wanted for an oil change, tire rotation, etc. and expected to be there for about 2 hours, due to the late arrival. They got me in and out in under an hour... a pleasant surprise. The entire dealership has recently been remodeled so it was no problem hanging out in their very nice waiting room where the news was on the nice flat panel TV. I also had my ipad with me and used that with their wi-fi access. Also had coffee and donuts.

I went in for an oil change and tire rotation. One of the technicians noticed a damaged tire from hitting a pothole. We have many here in NY from a bad winter. They didn't have the tire in stock, but made sure one was delivered in a timely manner and I was on my way....safely.

As of right now we are not 100 percent sure we have located the problem.I am confident that they will locate the problem and will fully repair it if it hasn't already been repaired. Very professional and courteous staff. It was a pleasure. After buying a new Camaro in 1986 from Palanker Chevrolet I swore I would never buy another Chevy due to the poor treatment I received from their service dept. And I did stay away from Chevy for almost 30 years, having 6 new cars in that time period. Leasing this Equinox was a last-minute decision and, although I was a bit leery, I couldn't be happier with the vehicle or the staff at Arnold.

I dropped my Traverse off on the evening of 12/25 to be serviced on 12/26, car needed an inspection, oil change and the usual maintenance...It was discovered that the rear brakes needed to be replaced, Mark Cohen called my wife who then patched me in, he explained the situation and I agreed to have the work done. I appreciate Mark taking the time to give us a call before moving forward with any additional work that would incur more expense...and his diligence for our safety is much appreciated.

Called up last minute to have maintenance done on my truck and needed the appointment by the next day. The service writer didn't hesitate to fit me in. When I brought the truck in for the appointment I was told it would only take an hour which it did. Everything was taken care of perfectly and in a professionally and friendly manner. The service department at Arnold Cevrolet is the best.

As always service is great, even under remodeling circumstances! :) The wait time was a bit longer than normal but this was due to a low number of mechanics available. I was told this while waiting. I did not have a problem with it..... sometimes things happen. Normally I don't have to wait more than 1 hr for an oil change/ car checkup I have been going to Arnold for over 6 years now!

I went with my wife and met Gary Davidson who was helpful and not pushy at all. Next day we called back and decided on the vehicle we wanted to purchase. Gary steered us to an equinox 2lt that fit the bill perfectly. The delivery and process was painless and we left feeling good on the deal. The finance was straight forward and the finance manger even worked out a better deal using rebates making it more affordable. A full tank and well detailed we left. Thanks guys.

One of the smoothest new auto purchases I have ever had (and I've had many). The price on the new car and the trade-in were good and they even found that I qualified for an additional rebate that had just started and applied that to the deal as well! The salesman, John, was great and all around it was a great purchasing experience. I gave an 'excellent' for facilities because a new showroom is being constructed. We did this transaction in a trailer but can't ding them for that!

Lew was absolutely amazing. This is the first new car that I have ever bought and the second car dealership I walked into. The first dealership I went to just made me feel uncomfortable, like I was just someone commission check. At Arnold Chevrolet I felt like they actually cared that I was happy with my car. After dealing with some difficult paperwork (on my end) and being patient with me I got my car, all sparkly and new. Lew walked me through how to use all the features in the car, walked me through the menus and explained to me how OnStar works. I have to say if people visit Lew at Arnold I am sure that they will be coming back more often to buy a new car. Thank you so much for making my first car buying experience a smooth one! I couldn't be happier with my purchase.

The worst experience I ever had. The price I came in for was the price we saw on the internet under Certify Pre-own. When we spoke to the sale man, Lew, he stated that was the worry price and would not honor the paper print out. He also let us to believe that the only way to find out how much the car payment would be was to leave a deposit on the credit card which was only for the interest rate determination. No true, we were miss let.We also discover the vehicle was not a Certify Pre-own and he mention he would throw that in as if he was doing us a favor.Long story short, we receive nasty emails stating how we waisted his time and that we misunderstood. Basically he was trying to force us to purchase the vehicle.This dealership also spoke very poor about other dealership to make themselves appear better.

If you go to this dealership don't say I didn't warn you! If you speak with John Locascio make sure he doesn't double talk you. I still had one month's payment left on my old lease and John said he would pay that and my first payment on my new vehicle, so I signed for a Chevy Equinox.. When I got a bill from my old leasing company I saw that the last payment was not paid. I went over there and showed John the bill and he said he would get me a check number from their bank to give my leasing company proving they paid it. Then he comes back and denies the whole thing! Never said he would pay my last payment! Got nasty so I asked to speak to the manager and he got nasty! Why would I turn in my old vehicle when I still had another month to pay?? I did because John said he would pay it! And why would he say he would get me a check number if he wasen't going to pay it? See where this is going? If you are really interested in a Chevy or Buick I recommend you find a different dealer!

I purchased my 2010 Chevy Cobalt three years ago from John Locascio. John made the experience a complete pleasure from the second I walked in to "browse", to the morning I drove off in my new car. The combination of his knowlege, experience, professionalism and personality makes him a tremendous asset to both his customers and Arnold Chevrolet. This week I brought my Cobalt in for Inspection and a Maintenance Servicing. As always, I was greeted in a friendly and welcoming manner. The work was completed much faster than I had anticipated, and my car was as spotless as when I brought it in. At Arnold, the Sales, Service and Support teams are all top notch... it's evident that they are all happy to be there. Arnold is truly a diamond amidst a field of stones as far as auto dealerships go!!!

We went to this dealership with a specific vehicle in mind that we saw on the internet. The price for the vehicle was good so that was not the issue. My issue is with the salesperson Ms. Coleman who at first seemed friendly. However when we started getting down to price of the vehicle and what I would get for my trade in things started to change. First of all between her and the manager they were low balling me on my trade in. Then they would not budge on the price for the newer vehicle. Quoting there was a "lot of traffic on it" meaning a lot of people were interested. Guess what folks a couple weeks later and the vehicle is still listed. So much for the traffic. So we continued on with the deal anyway because like I said the price was pretty good. A couple days later we came in as directed by Ms. Coleman for a test drive only to find out that it wasnt even on the lot. It was supposed to be back within an hour so we left and waited for the phone call. It came a day later. We wanted to finance part of the vehicle and when we found out that it was a very high interest rate we started to hesitate. Then she curtly said it was because of the vehicles age. So after some thought we decided to drop the deal. When I spoke with her about it, she asked why in an unpleasant tone. So I told her our reasons and she very rudely said "well good luck." And believe me it was not in a nice way. They never tried to renegotiate or even try to work out a deal. That was it. So unless I deal with someone other than Ms. Coleman, I would not buy a car from them.

First off I walked into wet floors slipping all over the place. I walked out to view the truck with a salesman, he was very nice and was trying to get me into the truck. He went through some numbers and I couldn't agree to his price. He wanted $2000 more then advertised. The manager came to me and told me that they advertise those low prices to get you into the dealership. He advertised the truck at a higher trim level with a higher asking price for features that didn't exist. He then said it comes to do you want it or not. Very nasty avoid!!

The vehicle advertised was in less than good condition as per the description. The salesman (Fred) was inattentive, and did not go out of his way to demonstrate the car's features, or allow a test drive. Furthermore, the salesman seemed more interested in finishing his afternoon snack than in selling any of the cars in the dealership.The salesman also was less than courteous in negotiating a deal, and his attitude seemed short at the end of my visit.

I went to Arnold to look at cars. First I saw Fred. He showed me some used cars and I didn't see anything I really wanted. He brought me to Henry in new purchases and I looked at the Spark and the Sonic. I love the Sonic, it's a mini-Malibu!:-) I walked to the dealership (5+miles.) and was tired, but Henry was so nice and showed me both cars and I had to get the Sonic. Henry made sure I got a good deal and the options I wanted, turbo, blue tooth and the color BLUE TOPAZ! I got a ride home after the deal and an offer to be picked up to come and get the car when it came from another dealer. It was so refreshing to see people concerned with your comfort. I felt like I knew Henry for years! John, the finance guy called and gave me the info on the finished deal and recommended a good extended breakdown warrantee. I really wanted it after the misery i had with my last car (2011 Hyundai Elantra that had so many problems). I went back to the dealership today and I was happy to find that my payments were even a few bucks lower than I expected. They thuroughly check all the creditors to make sure you get a good deal. The only thing that spoiled the day was to find out that the guy who emailed me AFTER I bought the car (I did email a bunch of dealers) took credit for the sale. Shame on Lew. I won't recommend him! I never met him and he got back to me 2 days later. Henry was the man I bought the car from. Go to him for new and Fred for used.:-)

very nasty crew from salesforce as well as manager. will only sell cars as listed prices.,salesforce is not to freindly even as a returning customer,had a problem with the salesperson and her manager said that I should take it up with her myself, he did not want to get involved. I was told that the car I was buying was JUST A USED CAR, so what if it was not sent out perfect. Sales manager tried to sell additonal coverage on a certified car, He said he made a mistake...I said I was A RETURNING CUSTOMER... he told me so what...GO ANY WERE ELSE...NOT TO ARNOLD....

Service manager "Mark" at Arnold literally screamed at me because I respectfully told him the information (Technical Service Bulletin) the service advisor gave me was for a different engine/transmission configuration, following request to have a hesitation on downshift concern addressed. After posting my complaints about him on Camaro5.com web site, the dealership owner and their attorney called me and said to remove the posting or they would sue me!!!They are absolutely NOT customer friendly. Can you imagine - a) being screamed at by a "service" manager and b) being threatened with a lawsuit because you posted your legitimate complaint.PS General Motors Customer Service refused to intervene because..."This is a legal matter between you and the dealership". Huh, because they threatened to sue me, GM wimps out?!?!?

I had a great experience. Called about a Squealing noise coming from my 2010 Camaro SS. It ended up needing a replacement balancer and belt. They were very up front with what it need and didn't sneak anything in on me. I was offered a ride home when I dropped the car off and was called when it was completed. Would definitely go back for service. Got everything replaced nd an oil change for $44. All the parts were under warranty and just paid for the oil change.

Horrible experience!!!! They will not take a cent off after you discovered you have to put 1500 dollars into it and then you get it home and youfind hair, crunched uop granola bar under the seat. GREAT DETAILING!!!! we paid 295 dollars for the prep fee.....For what???? A dirty car. Never again. My husband didnt like the place or the people, I really should have listened. Online, I viewed used inventory of 2009 Impalas which indicated good prices and selection. I tell salesman exactly what I am looking for. What a waste of time! Instead of looking at a list and telling me what he has, he has me traipsing all over his lot while I'm waiting for him to get the keys for this car or that car. None of the cars were what I had specifically asked for (simply a white car with ebony interior). I figure, well I'll look a the new cars since they don't have the used ones that they listed online. Nastily, he informs me that new Chevys are on an adjacent lot with salesman in a different bldg. Another waste of time. AFter spending 10-15 minutes looking around in showroom finally someone asks if we need help. When I asked about the difference between certain models, he brings me to a large Impala model book on a rack and says "look." The salesman was very rude - certainly not interested in selling a car. When I ask him about ad in paper with unbelievable pricing, he brings me on the lot and says "that special price is only for that orange impala." This dealership turned me off to Chevys completely!

I simple was inquiring about a used car on the lot and was met with blunt rudeness. I was still interested in the car and the owner was even more rude. He said " get off the computer and get into the real world." They both made comments that they can charge top dollar for cars because they are in Long Island. The owner said the car was a trade and the sales person said the car was bought at an auction. They were both defensive about it. I am glad I did not make the trip to buy the car. Brought my 2010 V6 Chevy Camaro with automatic transmission in for service due to a transmission problem. Ultimately discussed my problem with the service manager "Mark" about it. He tells me the transmission is the same as the V8 which is not true. Told him I am very familiar with the car and it is not true. He becomes argumetative and ultimately starts yelling at me. Not exactly what I would expect from the "NEW GM".
