I had heard shady things about Auffenberg, but I decided to take a chance and buy my new car there. Overall the buying experience wasn't bad, but their customer service is horrible. We've had our BRAND NEW, 2016 Kia Sorrento for 8 months. I noticed that the tires were getting really loud and took it in for service. They told me that the tires were "chopped" very badly, and that's caused by not rotating the tires regularly or keeping the proper pressure in them. I told them I've rotated the tires twice already, with the first oil change and with the third, and i always keep the tires inflated to the proper pressure. It had to be an alignment issue and they just weren't going to do anything about it. They said since I was over 12,000 miles already (all highway miles) that there was nothing they could do about it because it's considered "normal wear and tear". They said to get an alignment, rotate the tires, and they'll smooth themselves out in time and it will be fine. I went to my regular mechanic, and he said not only was the alignment REALLY bad, but that it had to have been that way when I bought it for all of my tires to be so badly worn. He also said my tires are ruined. So basically I have a car that is only 8 months old that had a messed up alignment and I have to buy new tires. Their service department lies to you, and they don't stand behind their product. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!

What a great experience driving the short distance from St. Louis County to your beautiful dealership. Nate Drury went above and beyond ANY salesperson here in St. Louis. My son made the contact over the Internet and Nate provided everything John asked of him. Our experience with 5-6 dealerships in St. Louis county left us very Leary of driving to your dealership. I have never experienced anything quite like the Kia dealership. Customers have to witness how nice and easy it is to but a car from you. Thank God for Nate! He had everything ready for us when we arrived. He showed us around, introduced us to the different departments. He spent time showing me the options how things worked. Full tank of gas to send us on our way. To sum it up, our connection with Nate and his wonderful personality closed the deal. Now, I just think of things I "need" to do just to drive this great Kia Sorento!!! Thank you Nate and Auffenberg Kia. My family and I will always make that trip across the river when we need a vehicle. You run a dealership the correct way, and you all made our day once we pulled onto your lot. Many, many thanks to the team and mostly to Nate.

I found the car of my dreams online and through several emails set up a time to see it. I drove the car home under the price I wanted, so it was a win win! I took it back the following Monday for the inspection ( I bought it so fast they didn't even have time to do it) and they detailed it for me also while I waited. I live in St. Louis so it saved me another trip back.

Bob's approach to accommodating us was a new 2017 Kia Sportage LX AWD was impressive. I am in sales myself and I did not feel like I was being sold something. I felt like I was being helped by a friend get the best price for the best car that we wanted. The financing department got us twice as good of a rate as the first dealership we went to. We also liked the quote we got from Allstate and I think we will be changing to them because they saved us money. My wife has been with the company that she has been with since she was 16 and had no idea that we could save the money that we will by switching. Overall it was a great experience, they kept us where we wanted to be as far as our payment goes and got us in the car that my wife absolutely loves. Thanks again guys we will be back for the next car.

my boyfriend and I went to look at cars today and today we stopped at out first stop which was Auffenburg KIA in O'Fallon IL. We have never been questioned and pressured to into buying a car ever in our lives. Seriously terrible. We were just looking around and they started doing paper work and wanted us to buy the car that day. We said NO numerous times and all they did was pressure us. The finance manger came and talked to us and he stated they didn't sell 1 car today so he wanted out business. After we told him that we were just looking around today, he got up from his chair and said "well I don't want to waste your time" AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Dealt with sales team online. I was quoted 13,880 by this person. Since I had to deal with a different salesman when I came to purchase the car, I wanted confirmation in writing that 13,880 was the price agreed on. Come to find out ( the morning of my appointment), this is not the price I would have paid if I kept my appointment, I would have had to pay 1995.00 more! My husband was also purchasing a car and he got higher "document" fees than I did. Shady business. Get your prices in writing. Online price is not the online price you get! False advertising and they admit that they they know this. Salesman told me that other customers have complained about it as well, yet it still stays the same.

Saw a Kia Forte online for my son advertised at $13,680. Submitted an email for a "special quote" that came back exactly the same price. Still a fantastic price so went in to check it out. Son liked it, we decided to look into purchasing it and was told the quote I was given did not include $2,000 in dealer installed options, which was some sort of clearcoat and a tire repair kit since these cars don't come with a spare tire(?). Showed the salesman my quote and he came back with the invoice showing me the car cost them $18,000 something. So they advertise an $18,000 car for $13,680? And then put $2000 more in cheapo unnecessary options? I showed him that MY QUOTE started at the same $18k, reduced by a $3k dealer discount and a $2k Kia rebate. Still they would not honor the quote I had received repeatedly stating the disclaimer at the bottom says dealer installed options may add to the price. Deceiving, misleading, bait and switch sales practices. No thanks!

My overall experience purchasing our new Optima went smoothly. Alex Branum our salesman was knowledgeable and never made us feel pressured in any way. He even went next door and bought my wife something to eat after she had mentioned in passing how busy she had been and hadn't stopped to eat all day. Now that's service. The finance manager Jay Mehta was also very knowledgeable and helpful in choosing our warranty and finance options, and insisted that my wife eat her food while it was hot. All that 10 min after they were supposed to close. Top notch people, excellent service.

And once we actually selected our car and completed the deal, he gave us a thorough explanation of all the bells and whistles our new car had. We left the lot very happy with our decision! Jason Redman was an outstanding salesman. He listened to what I was searching for in a new car and I sat in several. I am a senior citizen and a large lady and the first priority was a good driver seat fit and easy in and out. The moment I sat in the Kia Soul I knew it was for me. Jason was thorough in explaining the safety features and all the media extras. He set my phone up and my radio stations, He is a friend of the family and he entertained my grandson who was along with me and my daughter. The only negative I had was with the finance guy Robert. He stuck me with an extended warranty, called it a service contract. I am at fault for not knowing what I signed but in my defense, he never once elaborated on the details of the service contract, no highlights or anything. I felt he was not quite honest with me. I would never have purchased that had I known what it was. I retired from a credit union management position and believe me I financed many car loans and sold lots of GAP and extended warranty products. I would thoroughly go over the products I sold, including the cost.

I recently purchased a second vehicle from Auffenberg Kia. Robert Corey was more than a salesman. He was a partner in my entire experience. Both times I have dealt with him and both times he has been exceptional. He is knowledgeable about all the different models and tirelessly answered all my questions. He never pressured me by rushing me along or to make a decision. When I did make a choice he did everything he could to get me the best deal. Even the finance department was a pleasure to work with. They helped me to upgrade my warranty, to prepay for oil changes and tire rotations for the next 5 years (at a significant savings) and got me great rate! I have also had experience with the service department (for the oil changes and tires) and they are were just pleasant. I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone!

We have only had our Sorento for 4 days but so far we love it. It is taking a little adjusting since we went from an Altima to the Sorento. Our salesman Alex Brancum was excellent. He answered our questions, was very patient and was very knowledgeable. I cannot rate the quality of repairs as we have not experienced that yet and hope it will be a long time before we do other than the routine maintenance.

The day I bought my car had to be the worst day of my life until I walked into Auffenburg KIA. I had a scheduled appointment with Jason Redman, but upon arriving to the dealership, I know that if he hadn't been there I would have been taken care of. I even got lost in the Auto plaza and the gentlemen the neighboring Auffenburg guided me on my way. The one thing that I have to say is that this only my second time buying a car and the first time wasn't great. Mr. Redman assured me that I wouldn't be having that kind of experience with him or the Auffenburg family. The level of professionalism surpassed my own person expectations. From the test drive to financing... You company took what was a terrible day and turned it into one of the best days of my life. Who knew that that I'd walk out with a Brand New 2016 Kia Sorento!!!! I shopped around before making a decision and overall.. I was not sure what I wanted. After looking at the Accord and I planned to buy one, I made one last stop ay Kia... Just to "check them out". After meeting with James L.... I was sold. He knew everything about this car and it worked! I bought a 2015 Optima EX with just the right package for me. Kia has the best packages.. You can actually get cooled leather and a sunroof without paying for a $3000 tech package like the other guys.. I got a lot more car than the Accord for A LOT less money. Bought all of my oil changes for 5 years for less than $500 total? Yes please. Everything was explained so well.. unlike other dealers. I highly suggest making this your last stop on your list, or your first if you hate shopping for cars. Ask for James L!

I am so pleased with my buying experience at Auffenberg Kia. After doing a lot of searching around and test driving at other facilities, I knew that a Kia Sportage was my first choice car. However, my "dream" car was a little out of my price range. A week or so later I received a call that they would be willing to work with me and get me closer to my price I could afford. He really impressed me during our conversation he remembered what my favorite color was and proceeded to show me a blue car, after I didnt get the original car I wanted. I bought another make but he at least wanted me to have a car in blue. However I chose a black car instead. That day Greg was under the weather with a cold, even sick he stil went out of the way to show cars to me despite the freezing temperatures outside. I have recommended everyone I know to go see him at Kia. I just love my Passat. Everyone at the Volkswagn dealership was very nice.

Cory was the best! Best experience I've had in purchasing a new car (which I do frequently) He was very friendly and easy to talk to. I actually had fun there during everything. Last Saturday, we decided to start looking at a new Kia for a potential purchase. We walked into the Auffenburg Kia St. Clair Auto Mall and met with salesman Pat McLauglin. Pat listened carefully to our needs and offered a list of potential options, then showed us the car that they had on the lot, and offered to find us the right car, with the right color and the right options. After listening to us and allowing us to take our time in deciding, he found us the perfect car right there on the lot and we were able to drive her home. My salesman, Cory Stowe was great!! My husband and I showed up on a Saturday afternoon to look at cars, specially a Kia optima. However once I saw the Kia sorento, I was hooked on that one. I knew the price point that I wanted to be at, and what I wanted my payments to be also. Cory crunched the numbers and actually got my payments under what I wanted to spend!! We drove home that evening in a brand new sorento! I never felt pressured at all. Cory took his time with us. He showed us how to work all the new buttons in the car and told us to call him any time we needed anything at all. Thanks to Cory and everyone else at Auffenberg Kia in O'fallon, Illinois!! OK....first of all we got the standard grind. Sales dude who claimed to be "new" had to "talk to the finance manager" for a half an hour every time we questioned the financing quote they presented, which they lied about. All in all, about 4 30 minute waits. We had agreed on a price and a percentage rate for 6 years of payments. So they come out and quote us the wrong monthly payment with no calculations shown. We had calculated it previously and knew what it should be. So we tell him this, and he comes back 30 minutes later to say "Yes, that's the payment". We asked to see his manager, which then takes another 30 minutes because he "had to be paged". Finally we get to talk to him and he says he's not sure where that quote came from because it's wrong and was really an estimate. Really? You were the one who told him to use it. I told him that had we not questioned it, that "estimate" would have become actual. No comment from him.So he then proceeds to try to hard sell us on warrantees and add-ons we didnt't want and pulls the guilt trip on us.

My wife and I have each bought new cars at least 10 times in the past 20 years, and I have always absolutely dreaded dealing with salesmen and car dealerships ... until I worked with Ted Collier at Auffenberg Kia (Sorry, I may have misspelled his name). This was my first enjoyable car-buying experience. From start to finish, the experience was awesome. I can't imagine it being any better. No pressure, answered all my questions, didn't try to over-impress me or badmouth competing dealerships or vehicles; the list goes on. The only bad part of my experience is, the next time I buy as new car, I doubt the experience will be as enjoyable. By the way, I've never completed one of these reviews until now. For me, that alone speaks volumes about the experience I had at Auffenberg Kia.

Greg and David were both very friendly and cooperative. We test drove three different vehicles and on the day of our purchase test drove the Sportage one more time. Greg and Dave were very helpful finding the vehicles we want to test drive but need to be more familiar with the vehicles options. When asked about the Ionizing Air Filter on the Sportage neither knew of its existance and neither could tell us if the EX was equipped with heated sideview mirrors. We used USAA car buying service and there was no hesitation on accepting that price on the part of the sales or financial personnel. Thanks for a great experience.

The sales person and car price were both okay, but the gas tank was not filled when car was picked up. Also there were numerous closing fees, like a $200 fee to transfer car plates, and $200 to complete sales transaction. I will not buy a car from this dealer again.

I stopped by the dealership on a whim. David (I wish I remembered his last name, he is young and VERY enthusiastic, but not a vulcher) met me at the car I was looking at. We talked a few minutes and I indicated I was interested in the Kia Soul. He said, hold on I'll get the keys. No pressure, no money talk, just friendly talk about taking a ride. We drove around the block and I wanted the car. I stated a certain amount I would NOT go over with my payment and within minutes, he was telling me I could get in my car for LESS than I expected. It was a wonderful experience. I was not there for hours with the "I'll go back and see if I can squeeze more out of my manager..." I have played that game at other dealers and walked away. If it weren't for the service at THIS dealer and David as my salesman, I would not have bought a new car when stopping in on just a whim. I am very pleased.

I was very disappointed in this dealer's aggressive attempts to add on multiple extra-cost items above an agreed upon price quote. Auffenberg Kia offered an outstanding price quote in response to an online new car pricing service query. In light of their superior price quote, I planned to purchase their vehicle.Upon working final sales paperwork with the dealer salesman, I noticed a $690 paint protection package slipped into the draft sales agreement. That package was not in the price quote nor was it advertised or annotated anywhere on the car sticker. I refused to pay for that plan and experienced strong pushback ("we can't take it off") but the dealer finally begrudgingly removed the package when they knew the deal was off otherwise.The second high-cost add-on was a very strong attempt to push an extended warranty. Although Kia and Hyundai advertise themselves as having "the best warranty in the business", this dealer strongly tried to push me into buying an extended warranty that ran anywhere from $1,700 all the way up to $3,900. That price was not readily apparent either due to being broken up into just it's increase on monthly payments. I did the math to figure out the true price of the warranty and decided to decline the warranty. The salesperson was very aggressive in pushing the warranty add-on and only agreed to drop his push after I had to tell him 4 times that I did not want the package.These aggressive pushes to add extra-cost items to an agreed upon price really soured the purchase experience for me. I am now hesitant to recommend this dealership to others due to this experience. This dealership has a large sign in their lobby advertising that they don't do gimmicky tricks to get people into their showroom. My experience was that they do not live up to that advertising.

We received very fast, friendly and non pushy service from Terry and Jason. We found the van online and when we got there they got us right in the one we had seen. The price was better then I had found anywhere else, and not once did they try to force a car on us that we did not want. After we test drove it he even walked away on his own to give us a minute to talk in private. I hate car shopping and it was by far the best experience I have ever had. The next time I need a car, this will be the first place I look.

Auffenberg Kia made it completely painless to purchase a new vehicle. After test driving the vehicle that I had found on their internet site, I was expecting a long, painful, protracted process to attempt to make a purchase. The negotiation process took all of about three minutes. We reached a settlement that everyone could live with. I took the car home last night and finished up the paperwork this morning. Compared to another dealer that I had attempted to purchase from several weeks ago, this was a breeze. That one took 4 days and resulted in me walking out, probably to NEVER return to that dealership.After the way I was treated here, I will recommend them to everyone I know. I haven't been able to say that about a car dealership in over 20 years.

I came in with a high mileage car that I needed to tradein because of it's high miles. They gave me more than my car was worth and accepted a fair offer on my dream car. I got everythig I want and more. I also purchased the auto butler with the inside cleaning package. This has been my favorite things so far because twice a year they detail my car and it looks show room new. Just had my first round done. Amazing look great price and awesome people. This is the 4th car I have bought in 10 years.

The salesperson, Shane Roemer, was very friendly (not pushy and sneaky - like alot of salesman)and was very easy to work with.The Sales Mgr., Mike Parsons, was straight forward when dealing with my offer prices. He didn't pull that old ploy "I need a check to show him that I was interested in buying a car and then at the end of the deal process stop the deal and ask for additional money"!!! I hate this tactic!!!!!!!!!!!The Finance Mgr, Shawn McCarty, was very helpful to me when reviewing the additional option pricing and information.

My family (father and daughter included) have purchased seven (7) vehicles with Auffenberg and have felt that we have received reasonable offers over the years. We understand that the offers were not the absolute best, but we have gained experience and knowledge after each purchase. If there is a concern, it involves the reluctance of the staff to provide the "true" cost of the vehicle borne by the dealer. The invoice price they offer is not the invoice that is such a heavily guarded secret. It is disingenuous to state that the lowest price that can be offered is what can be negotiated with the "printer version of the invoice." That version does not offer information regarding any special dealer rebates or incentives that may be provided at a savings to the customer. I understand that the dealer must make a profit, but let's be more reasonable and transparent with the actual bottom price.

My husband and I have two friends who own Kia's. One has a Sportage and the other a Sorento, which is what we purchased. Both highly recommended that we purchase a Kia when they knew we we shopping for a new vehicle. My husband and I went to Auffenberg Kia because this is the closest dealership to where we live, but it is 70 miles away. We were a little apprehensive because we didn't know anyone who worked there or anyone who had purchased a vehicle from them. But this feeling soon faded as we became acquainted with our sales consultant, Kirk Pieper. We have complete trust in him and the sales manager, Mike Parsons. Since we bought a brand new 2011 Sorento we haven't dealt with the service department yet, but we expect that will be a good experience also. And we are very pleased with the Sorento! We're still learning how to operate all of it's many features-there are far more in it than our 2002 Buick, which we reluctantly traded in. But we know that Auffenberg Kia is only a phone call away and the employees there will help us if we have questions.

In preparation for purchasing a vehicle, I must have spent 20 hours reading reviews, articles on sales strategies, and market pricing. I had made my decision on which vehicle and was fully ready for a fight. Walking into auffenberg kia, I was greeted by Greg. We had previously worked with kirk, but he was off. We quickly located the vehicle we had already chosen and started discussing pricing. I had a guaranteed price certificate and eventually brought it out. I fully expected the "battle" to begin. However, Greg took the certificate to the manager and, despite a fair wait, returned with a dealer agreement for that price. They even located a rebate I had not found. Everything moved forward swiftly at that point and we drove away in our brand new Sorento shortly after, paying a price we were very satisfied with!

I had been dealing with about 5 car dealerships, but this staff went above and way beyond what they would have had to do to get me financed. Shane called me two or three times a day with updates and questions, and he and Shaun stayed after hours the Friday night previous to the closing to meet with my husband and me. They were going to need additional information from me, and still had to make sure everything was covered with the bank, so they set another time for the following day, Saturday, Nov 6. Shane even sent me text updates to my cell, as per my request, when I knew I would be too busy at work to talk on the phone. Shaun McCarty met with us and explained the delays, which simply had to do with a miscommunication between our insurance agent the dealership. Mike Parsons spoke with me to assure me that everything was going to be fine, when I was afraid the deal wouldn't go through for me.Shane Roemer was particularly accommodating to my family, and talked my children, one older, one 7 years old, and was the most amicable salesperson I have ever had experience with. He even said the day we closed, "I went home and had my fingers crossed for you, because I knew how badly you wanted this car." My whole experience boiled down to the fact that I actually got the New Kia I had been wanting since the first model year, and this customer service will keep us coming back when we're ready for a trade.
