I received no response until about two weeks later and by them the car was sent to auction but intermittently still appeared on their website. They could have sold it if they had just answered my messages. By the way the car is still showing on cars.com and is long gone.

I absolutely loved this place at first. But now they seem shady! Truck was originally 13,500, put 4500 down and was a great deal so I thought. Not gonna lie it was repossed. Tried to get it back and now they want 11,500 for it, which is CRAZY!! I had it almost a year, it now has 266,000 miles on it and they are reporting 1owner which isn't true at all. So please do your OWN research! Not to mention I put rims on it that I'm still paying for and they totally refused to turn them in to the other company even when they called. I even stated that I have the original wheels and tires that came off of the Truck. So if you buy from this place do a Carfax for YOURSELF!!

I saw the car on-line and contacted the dealer. The manager at the College Park lot called me the next day and told me the car was on his lot. I arranged to come and see it. It looked great. He allowed me to take it to my mechanic for a check. When I got the thumbs up from my mechanic, I contacted the manager. By the time I got back to the lot, he had all the paperwork ready and we concluded the cash transaction swiftly. I'm very pleased with the car and the dealer.

I spoke to the salesman several times the day before going to purchase the truck. I spoke to him several times that morning. I agreed to pay full price plus tax, tags, dealer fees. I was told that the truck was in good condition, and ready to go. I took off from work early, found baby sitters for the kids. My wife and I drove over 3 hours to get there (which I made clearly known before the visit). We had the check in hand, insurance set up, we were going to drive home with the truck. As soon as we pulled up after our long drive to the dealership, I saw a truck matching the description on the racks in the garage. My salesman saw my face and told me that wasn't my truck. Twenty minutes later, the same salesman finally tells me it was my truck. They had the engine halfway pulled out. His excuse, he had been looking at the wrong truck all day long while. At this point, I am extremely upset, but still want the truck. After calling everyday for nearly 2 weeks and being told they would call me back with an update and never actually calling back, I slowed my calls to about every 3rd day. It has now been 3-1/2 weeks and they have yet to call me. They keep making excuses, when I call that the truck is STILL being worked on. At least have the respect to tell me that you already sold MY truck, or that you are in over your head and need to sale it for more. At least have the respect to at least follow through and call me back and tell me anything....even IF you are still truly working on it.

I have contacted the dealership telephonically and thru cars.com website and the auto dealership website on multiple ocassions in an attempt to purchase two vehicles and the dealership failed to respond to any of the emails and stated they would return my calls when I physically contacted them and they did not follow thru. I would think twice before dealing with this delaership until they improve upon their customer service.

I could not believe how great my experience was when a bought my most recent vehicle. Neale was well mannered and professional whilst juggling us and other customers. He stuck by his promise of calling me back once he found out the information I asked about and saved us money too because the other dealership near there way overpriced the same vehicle. He bent over backwards getting our payments to where we needed them to be and we are SUPER HAPPY with our purchase. He told us it was tax time and the place was packed but he managed to keep us top on his list though he had several other people he was helping. The other salesmen were busy too. I wish salesmen everywhere were as courteous, polite, and respectful as he was. Most of all his honesty is what made me want to spread the word about him, he said it was just his first week doing this job but I would've put money on guessing he had been doing it forever. I was shopping around to purchase my wife a good size luxury vehicle and I was approached by a young man maybe in his early 20's, he was right there on the lot to answer my questions, and he answered all of my questions, but he explained to me that he wasn't yet a salesmen yet and that he was in training to become one, it wasn't until after our conversation that I found out he wasn't a salesmen yet, I was very surprised on how professional this young man was and how good he was with taking care of me, I haven't purchased anything yet because of how bad the weather was that afternoon , however with this type if service I will be glad and pleased to come back and also tell my family, friends on how good this location was on there wonderful service and quality, I would HIGHLY recommend that this young man deserves the position that he desires. 7/18/14 I paid cash for a 2002 Tahoe the salesman was Tony.He told me everything was good no problems I test drove the truck when I press the brakes they squeak so he got in and drove it to see if he could do something still the same.Tony told me the truck had brand new pads and I just had to keep driving so I did and took it back Tony sprayed the brakes Tony told me if I had anymore problems to bring it back and he would take care of it.So the squeaking got worse I called Brittany she told me to bring the truck to them so they mech.could check it out so I did the mech.call me yesterday and said it was fix no noise at all I said u sure he said yes then he said I will call u back in 10mins I said ok and never heard from them until today same noise nobody told me nothing

Found dealer on cars.com searched Make-Model and price high-low. Found the car I wanted and AUTOCITI was the 2nd cheapest in the entire "any distance" search in cars.com Nationwide search! I was amazed how this dealer located in small city named Ports mouth was one of the cheapest Make-Model over every other dealership across the country. I will come back here again for my next car purchase.

Their website adversited that someone would be available to pick us up at the airport. Someone arrived in a old two seater. No room for luggage or for the three of us! What were they thinking? Or not thinking! The taxi tab left a distaste and when we arrived, the customer service was less than desirable! Fortunately the car was ready, after a few adjustments, and it has worked well ever since. Had some minor repairs after we brought it home but overall it is in great condition and we purchased it at a good price. Customer Service is very important and unfortunately I cannot rate it any better than average!

I found Auto City on Cargurus and was a little skeptical. I saw them again on Cars,com and decided to check them out yesterday and to my surprise the car I saw online was still there. I have been to several dealers that show certain cars in stock and when you get there they are like "oh.... you just missed that one" The Accord was there, Tony gave me a history report before I asked and did a really good job keeping the purchase quick. I hate sitting at a dealership all day so I was very pleased! I will be sending my brother -in-law to come see you soon.

Found autocity on cars.com when I was looking for Nissan titan truck and they appeared on the 8th page and you all know what that means, it was the better priced vehicle. This store had the rest beat. The next price above the one I purchased was almost $3000more. I know I got a good deal. Kellysbluebook had the truck I bought from autocity showing it worth a lot more than I actually paid. Im stoked and happy and judging by all the other reviews on here, there are many more that are happy with autocity too. Great place to go to and you wont get your wallet beat up either. I will be back when my son gets his drivers license.

I live in South Florida and I just purchased a Cadillac Deville from AutoCity. I am the kind of person who doesn't enjoy car shopping and playing games with dealerships or sellers but this place called Autocity in ports mouth Virginia was different and actually enjoyable! In all the years I have purchased so many different cars for either me or children I usually paid in cash or check. I did something at autocity I never done before and that was buy a car using WIRE TRANSFER with my own bank. At first I must say I was nervous and that was because I never used this type of payment option. The Dealership Allowed and Encouraged Wire Transfer too. The dealership has payment policy in place for out of state purchasers that is by no means "slack" which is a good thing. From what I can tell you this dealership has had a lot of people try scamming them with checks and it is sad. I totally get it and didn't mind at all wire transfer the funds at the dealership after I decided to buy the Cadillac and the added bonus was Auto City paid the wire transfer fees for me too. I Purchased my Cadillac Deville and really love this car! AutoCity had history report called AUTOCHECK that showed more information than the CARFAX.They also had the original window sticker that came on the car when it was brand new. This place had the most cars to choose from for my price range too. I was online looking for best deals on Cadillac Deville's and AutoCity came up many times scrolling down toward the bottom where the lowest prices show up. This was my first purchase from Auto City. For a so called "small used car lot" I must say it WASNT. This place had so many vehicles to choose from. There customer restroom area was clean and it wasn't covered with a bunch of half naked calendars unlike some of the dealerships I have been too. Very refreshing positive experience at auto city. I was thrown back honestly. Great selection very nice sales guides too. I will buy from AutoCity again! Great place to shop and they had the better deal for me and with a free history report to back it up too. They know their trade and overall I was impressed.

I was looking for a specific make and model on-line and found Autocity had a few to choose from. Called ahead to be sure the cars were still there and after finding they were, went down to the lot to check them out. Once arriving, we found Tony (the salesman I had spoke to on the phone) and he directed us to the cars I was interested in seeing. No pressure to see other makes or models, very casual especially after finding out he was the only one there that day. He was able to handle several customers at once all while answering the phone calls and dealing with issues from out back. I test drove the cars and actually decided on purchasing the Black Monte Carlo. It had the engine and drivetrain I was looking for as well as body style. The car had an issue or two but Tony assured us they would handle them if we were to buy the car. Not only did they get addressed but Tony himself did most of the work! Not to mention a full detailing due to the car coming from a dirt lot. Thank you for a great car buying experience.

Terrible experience. The salesman here are very unprofessional. Constantly smoking around customers and texting while conducting business. Very unprofessional and says a lot about the management. Employees using curse words all the time around customers or while talking with other employees. And then they have to take a "break" from dealing with you in order to satisfy their cigarette craving. I mean at least wait until you are done with a customer before you light up. Between that and all the salesman playing on their phones while they are talking with you or doing business this "dealership" is terrible. Worst business practices (some which are sleezy and borderline illegal). And the ONLY reason they have such good reviews (which they brag about when you go in) is because they give everyone a gas card who leaves them a good review. Also....IT TAKES THEM FOREVER. Only buy a car here if you dont mind all of the above

Thankyou AUTOCITY what a great car we purchased. It was a 2006 Cadillac STS, everyone was real helpful the facility was first class for a "USED CAR LOT". This place reminded me a little bit like a Classic CHEVYS restaurant with a touch of the CARMAX feel. Professional but relaxed. I wish I knew about AutoCity years ago but thanks to cars.com I do now! We will buy many many more vehicles from this dealership. Great place awesome staff and the LOW price was the attention getter for us. We bought this Cadillac for almost $4500 less than book value and we got the car facts autocheck report for FREE no charge like other dealerships we went to and the salesmen let us take the car to our family mechanic to check it over so we can be sure we are getting a great car and not just a great price. I recently inquired about a vehicle and went to this dealership to see the vehicle and to possibly test drive it. When I arrived on a Friday the battery was dead, the tires were flat, and when we finally start the engine, the vehicle started to smoke because there was an oil leak. The car was definitely not how it was advertised. The car was not test drive ready due to the flat tires and the fact that it was pack behind car in their already very small parking lot. I overlooked a lot because I was very interested in the vehicle and want to make a deal. I ask if they could have it test drive ready by Monday and was told that I would know something by Saturday. The young man Austin seemed that he was interested in selling me the car but I'm sure he wanted to go through the trouble of preparing the car for a test drive. I received no call, no update and when I called for Austin he never returned any of my messages. This dealership has some quality cars and its a shame that they missed out on a cash paying customer because they couldn't communicate back to me or somehow work with a customer to get the sale. The customer service and the presentation of the car was horrible and would deter any customer from paying the asking price without negotiation and has completely deterred my recommendation. I wish my experience was better because I was really interested in the vehicle.

Purchased vehicle from AutoCity 2 years ago and recently had some normal service repairs that were needed to get done, called autocity they offered me multiple service centers to get price quotes from. Had the repairs done and they were VERY LOW priced which makes us VERY HAPPY! This is a small dealership with ALOT of vehicles and they do an awesome job considering how much traffic they get. I finally went to Autocity in portsmouth Virginia after seeing the selection of Subaru, toyota and Honda vehicles. I can't believe how many vehicles this place has to choose from and the prices are cheap. I will be paying cash for my next Toyota vehicle, this Tuesday from Sisco. My aunt and two cousins all purchased from Sisco 3-4 years ago when he was a salesperson. Now he is the manager and he spent the time working with me since my family suggested to see Sisco. We ask for him only ! He knows his vehicles , he is young and has positive energy for his job! We like AutoCity & Sisco !

This dealer has a great selection of vehicles to choose from, don't let the small lot fool you. I found mine online on their website through cars.com at a great price. Before and after my purchase I had to call several times to get my questions answered. Because of being so busy, they either forgot or never got my messages, which is the only problem I had with customer service. Other than that, Austin and Brittany were friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful throughout the process. I am happy with my vehicle and would recommend them to future buyers!

Purchase a car and it broke down the same day took car back still only to pick up three days later driving the care home it broke down again on me. All less than a week call to see if the could refund the check to my credit union and find me something else for 25k to 30k her stated no having to consultant and attorney.

Just bought a Toyota Prius hybrid from AutoCity. Great car good on gas and the lowest price within 500 miles of our area. This place had over 15 hybrids from honda/Toyota and a Ford Escape hybrid. If we need another car hybrid or not we are going to give AutoCity a chance to have our business again

I could not have asked for a better experience! I'm from Alabama and had been searching all over for an excellent quality and priced car. What I could not find here in AL, I definitely found with Auto City. The complete process was so smooth with them! My 2004 Nissan Maxima was just as they had promised. Auto City is a wonderful dealership. They cater to your needs and help you to find the best car that suites you and your family. They aren't just car salesmen they are nog like your friends. The purchase of my used car was a far better experience than I could've imagined. I felt comfortable browsing the lot while not really sure what I was looking for. The staff was both friendly and imformative without being pushy. I have already recommended this dealership to family & friends - one of my neighbors even sold her used car to them. I was hesitant about shopping at a used car lot, but the people here are amazing! The selection of vehicles was huge. The prices were better than many of the private sellers I'd seen. I can honestly say that I never felt like I was being pressured to buy, and they offer a 5yr/100k mile warranty on every car they sell! I would like to share with your readers what a Great Deal! I received at the Auto City in Portsmouth this past week. I have been for over a month visiting many dealerships, pricing vehicles. I found that Auto City was the lowest price dealership in a 150 mile radius on quality used cars. They had a wide selection of all types of vehicles including trucks.
