I had to return a total of three times to complete a simple repair "window washer" not spraying properly.Mind you for the first visit I paid 392.45 for other repairs I had done. First visit- multipoint inspection- I was checked off as green (okay)for windshield washer spray(this let me know it was not checked by the mechanic).I showed the customer rep. before the multipoint ck. was started and after the check that they were still not working . He spoke with the mechanic and I was told that the part needed to be ordered and to return the following day for the repair. Second visit I returned as instructed waited 30 minutes to be told the part was not in. Third visit the part was in . I was told that the left washer sprayer works but not the right one(mind you the right side was working when I brought it in)and that they do not have another replacement part to check the right washer and no other solution was advised or offered. I felt basically on my own. After the third visit my washers are still not working.Very dissatisfied with the service I received.

Was overall pleased either the service. Car was what I told them I was looking for. Didn't waste my time with stuff I didn't want or couldn't afford. Adjusted the price slightly for me so I could afford. Finance guy was wonderful. A little slow in recognizing I may need help and car could have been better detailed but all in all a good experience. I would recommend to others. I was referred there by a friend.

I purchased my 2010 Accord there, Walter, the Sales person treated my wife and I like we were the most important people there. They did not go as low as we wanted on price, but we do feel they gave us a great deal! So, several months later, the engine acts up and starts using oil- OMG! Anyway, Chris the Service Manager and Shannon, our Service Writer get it covered under warranty- NO CHARGE! The car had over 70,000 miles on it. So, now, my Corvette and my Camaro and my other 2008 Accord all get serviced at AVERY GREENE. Yep, I take all my cars there, because they CARE!

We liked the no pressure. We didn't get ambushed the minute we got there. Our salesman Don, was super knowlegable about the CR-V and HR-V. He was an expert showing us the techie details of the car and even paired my phone. Johnny was really fast and efficient in the paper signing procedure, and got us out of there in a fairly short amount of time. He explained the add-ons to us and there was no pressure to purchase anything, tho we did. Overall, the experience was great, and we love the car (even if it isn't white like I wanted!). The tank of gas was really nice!

When I first walked in with my aunt, we were both greeted right away by a sales person. That made us feel comfortable & felt that help with there when we need it. I was looking for a Honda Civic but when I was there, I saw the Honda Fit & it was love at first sight. We met with John Lu & he greeted us when we got there. He asked us how was our day & what car we were looking for. I told him Honda Civic but when I saw the Fit, I wanted to check it out. He got the keys & I jumped in the driver seat. I took it for a test drive & it was my car!! My search was over. We headed back to the office & John helped me with the details of the paperwork. He checked my credit & everything went well. An hour and half later, I got my keys & my papers! I was going home with my new car! I bought a new civic from them which makes me the real idiot. i was buying a car for my daughter and i was in town only one day. i reluctantly purchased the car after wasting of hours of sleazy sales pitches. At the end, they informed me that i have bring the car back to get moldings and lights installed since the parts were not available.A waste of another full day. They called me back weeks later to make an appointment to go in for service and installments. I triple checked to make sure that the parts had arrived. I arrived at noon per schedule. They kept me waiting for 4 hours only to come back and say that the parts ordered had not arrived yet. After four hours it was: make an appointment for next week.A few minutes in the dealership you get the idea that you are not dealing with the brightest candles on the cake but it is their indifferent attitude no apologies after keeping you waiting a whole afternoon.

Lou was wonderful! He greeted me with a smile, was happy, enthusiastic, and confident about making my car safe to drive. On Monday August 24, I bought an Accord from a used car lot elsewhere. It was the only Honda I could find in my price range. I knew there were a "few" things wrong with it, but after a couple of days driving, it became clear that there was more wrong than previously thought. Lou and David kept me up to date throughout the day, with the many unexpected safety and other issues that kept popping up. From my arrival on Friday August 28 at 7:30 am to when I left - 5:30 pm, it took all 10 hours to get the car roadworthy again. They applied every available discount Honda had to offer for the services I received, with a final bill that was quite a bit lower than the original estimate. How often does one get a bill that's lower than expected? I'm very grateful. Lou, David, and everyone at Avery Greene Honda was supportive, understanding, and caring. Lou and David explained everything, answered all of my questions completely, and made sure that i understood what needed to be done and why. They asked to use my smartphone to take pictures of the three bad tires - all three had 1/32 tread left, and one of them was coned - so that the used car dealer will reimburse me for having to buy four new tires. The used car lot agreed and will also fix the alignment. OUTSTANDING SERVICE!!!!!! The drive to Avery Greene takes less time and is well worth the $5.00 bridge fare.

Liked that the mechanic took the time to notices a small oil leak and make sure it got documented and that Shannon recommended bringing the car back for service soon and while under warranty to fix. Wayne was a great salesman. He was kind and personable and really seemed to be interested in what I was looking for. He was one of only two car salesmen that did leave a slime trail behind him when he walked. It has been 15 years since I have had a car salesman that was so kind. We went on a Th to look at the FIT, We met Armando. We told him we would be back Saturday with a decision to buy. We arrived Sat noon. Armando was busy. Marc helped us out. Nice guy. We showed them a screenshot of the Honda FIT we wanted from their site. They had it mis-priced (They showed a Automatic Transmission for the Manual "Stick Shift" price) They gave us the stick shift price. (Wonderful) We didn't bargain on any pricing, just what we saw on the website (we got it b'cuz they admitted it was their mistake) Great! Then they said they would detail the car. There were Mats in the car. After the detail. No mats. I called the Salesperson and left 2 voice mails (to Armando - twice) no call backs. Not even after 4 days later. I called the AVERY GREEN dealership. Spoke to the General Manager (Steve?) I explained the situation. He said that they do not give out the floor mats. I reiterated what just happened. No GO. The nice agent Marc Called me back, and he said to me that the mats do not belong in that model. I mentioned they were in the car and it was removed. He said they do not come with the car. So even after it was in the car and we clearly discussed it being there, they were adamant about it. Soooooooooooooo. I was going to write a perfect review for AVERY GREEN Honda in Vallejo, but, with both the General Mgr and the no calls from the Original Sales person and a bad follow up call from the other agent. I give it 1 star. Because, if they are willing to leave a bad taste in someones mouth for a floor mat and a not return calls once the sale is done. I think its a bad experience. We could've ordered the car online - since we did not ask for a discount / haggle on price or extras. Get your car on line - this dealership will not care about your business after the sale is done.

I asked several times (with witness) if it was truly bumper to bumper and was told YES. I needed to make sure I didn't have to put any money into it for several years except for oil changes, etc. After less than 5 mos of ownership and less than 2k miles put on it, the battery dies. After the 3rd jump today, I took it to Honda Dealer Honda Cars in Vallejo CA | Civic Accord & CR-V | Avery Greene Honda I was told that it wasn't covered. After discussion with General Mgr at Avery and phone call to GM at Norm Reeves, they aren't willing to do anything for me at all. $120 for new battery and that's that. Two years from now would be one thing, but I just got the car. They sold me a car with a battery that was already past it's warranty and expected usage date. It's probably 3 or even 4 years old. It SHOULD have been changed out in Honda's Certification standards because it was likely due to fail very soon. This is my issue. For probably $35 cost, they could have replaced a battery that was about to fail and past it's expected usage date. Instead, I get stranded 3 times with a car I just bought a few months ago. BTW AAA rocks and were ON IT right away to jump the car so I could take it to Honda today-literally 15 mins from call to engine running! Yay AAA and why I'm over a 20 yr member there. Treat me well and I will be loyal forever-that's how it works with me. This is my first Honda though, and I'm not impressed by their service despite all the ads saying how Helpful they are. Once I'd exhaused, nicely, every person I thought could help me, I forked over $120. I asked if they could at least give me a free oil change or car wash and Andrew said he'd wash it for me. Turns out that was a rinse-down with a hose and semi-dry and I STILL had to go to the car wash after! Nothing inside was done and the outside still had considerable road dust and bugs, etc. all over it and windows were all smeary. Lastly, when I bought the car, they were so nice, even buying me a candy bar and soda because it was talking so long to get the car ready. I was starving today, but Andrew didn't offer to buy the candy bar, I had to and he didn't even offer me water. Not a huge thing, but considering the 2.5 hrs I spent dealing with it and his even agreeing that they SHOULD be able to cover it but policy is policy...it would have been a nice show of good service to at least get something to drink and a candy bar on a hot day. He was nice and it's NOT his fault, but he did have opportunity to make it better and rather failed there with the bad car wash and lack of customer care. Silver star for being nice though. I'm disappointed that Honda touts themselves as such great customer care yet wouldn't even agree to change out a battery for free that should have been replaced before it was certified. I did my part. Paid for the best and longest warranty and got the oil change before it even needed it. Least they could do is cover a battery that should have been replaced when they saw it was already past it's use date before I bought it. $120 lesson today...how much will it cost me tomorrow is the question? Honda needs some work in their valued customer service department. I am 51 yrs old with disabled hands and limited income. We found a vehicle on their website that we wanted to purchase. We are out of the state, but were willing to drive to California to pick up the vehicle or have it transported. Our credit union contacted them requesting the paperwork to send the dealership their money, but their general manager, A.K., refused to sell us the car because, "He wouldn't be able to sell the vehicle anymore if our credit union gave them the money for the car." Interesting - I thought that was the point: I give them their money and they don't sell it to someone else. The car is already sold. It didn't make any sense to us that they would advertise a vehicle on-line, but then not work with someone unless they were physically at the dealership. We actually considered making the 9-hour drive to the dealership to purchase the vehicle, but after reading the reviews written by other customers we decided it was not in our best interest to trust this dealership to keep their word on the on-line advertised price. If you are going to use 21st century advertising methods, then be willing to use 21st century purchasing methods. I wonder how the Honda corporation would feel about how this dealership is treating loyal Honda customers? Very disappointing experience. :(

On 5-17-14, I went to Avery Honda after seeing a 2007 Accord hybrid online. I was greeted by Wayne, the salesperson and he took me to the car. Wayne was very knowledgeable about the car, showed me all the car had to offer. Then we went on a test drive and the test drive was more then just around the block. I was able to get on the freeway and drive, going uphill and downhill, through turns and stops. I fell in love with the car. Once back at the dealership, I went inside to start the long process of buying a car. Wayne asked if I was thristy or wanted a snack before we started the process. I went in knowing that I wanted a certain monthly payment amount and needed that payment amount, Long story short, the finance manager ( didn't get a name but a wonderful man that got me a deal I could afford) was able to get the bank to work with my no so good credit and get me the payments I could afford, I would like to say that Wayne, was awsome, knowledgeable about the honda, helpful, always smiling, and never made me feel presurred. I give Wayne 2 thumbs up and A++++ in customer service. The dealership was clean and comfortable even was able to get the shuttle to take us to get food. Awsome place. If you are in need of a car, go here and make sure you ask for Wayne.

The numbers I wanted and the numbers they gave me weren't far off and they worked with me to find a middle ground. My salesman, Daniel Lopez, gave me a call the day before to find out what I was looking for and took just a very short time to accomodate what my I had on my wish list in a car. I hadn't purchased a car in 14 years, so times have changed as far as car salesman conduct go. The auto I selected was within my price range, low mileage, just like new. I couldn't be happier with my new Honda and the attention they gave me in making sure Ithey found exactly what I wanted. I purchased a 2014 Honda Civic EX coupe with a manual transmission. That was the hard part. Everyone wants an automatic (except me) . I live in Sacramento but was looking every where for the car I wanted. There was only 3 in northern California. Amid at Avery Green Honda was the only one who said he would find the car I wanted and give me the best price and he did both. I even got the color I wanted. I bought my first brand new Honda Civic at Avery Greene in 1998. I had to return to Avery Greene in May 2014 because unfortunately that Civic finally needed to be put to rest. I needed buy my new second Honda Civic because of salesman extraordinaire, Walter Jones. I remembered my wonderful sales experience with him and couldn't think about going to anyone else. My mother in -law and both test-drove the CRV- different models. I ask him what if they did not have our colors cars we wanted. No problem we will get it from another dealer no cost to you. We was never was given a quote. After I got a few quotes from other dealers. We finally got a price out the door. I was going to go some place else as they offered me a lower price. (Also was dishonest. Mark at Manly Honda) But when my bother in law had told them as he was putting a down payment to hold the color she wanted as they only have a few left. I was getting 300 off the price, they took it off my mother in laws price. Therefore, I was going to go back to Brian Foster of Avery Greene. He told me they did not have my color I wanted in stock so they could not get the 300 off because i would also have pay the have the get my color in. But after talking to his boss i get another email say i have good news well will get the car and eat the cost. Then gaves the wrong price. All price quote we out the door. I never went to him, however my mother in-law did and when she got there they jacked up the price 1000.00 yes 1000.00 said it have extras they couldnt remove then said could. She was willing to pay half said no. The manager didnt come down on the price either. She walk. Wouldnt deal with them at all.

General Manager AK QADIR said, "GET OUT OF THE DEALERSHIP"I would suggest never to deal with this dealership.I did my search on internet and got in touch with one of the internet sales guy at Avery Greene Honda. On deciding the car make and model, called the dealership to get a final word on the price along with the availability of the vehicle. I went to the dealership to purchase the car with family. We test drove the vehicle and gave our personal info to the dealership to run the credit check. Every thing went thru fine and after they run the credit check one guy come over with price written over the paper along with the additions for some accessories. Price of the car was raised by $850 saying that those accessories have been mounted on the car and you need to pay for those in addition to the price agreed. It was an unpleasant surprise for all of us and the next question was why was this not mentioned earlier. Guy was ruuuuuuude enough. He said either buy it or leave it. After some further negotiations we agreed to pay $350 for the accessories which we were not interested in buying. By this time we had already spent couple of hours at the dealership and requested to process the paper work fast. In addition we requested not to sell any extra warranty and stuff. Another guy(who called himself as manager) jumped in and said "If you want to buy you buy otherwise leave it" I got disappointed with the behavior of the manager and decided not to buy and walked out of the office. In the parking lot another guy with the Title "Sales Manager" came to us to check why we walked out. While I was talking to him, in the meantime the guy who made the statement "If you want to buy you buy otherwise leave it" walked out and said "GET OUT OF THE DEALERSHIP". Man this was too rude.......Bottom line ruthless people. Don't care about customer. I would strongly NOT RECOMMEND this dealership to any one out there.At least the Internet Sales person was nice during all the discussions. Five stars to that individual but not a single start to this dealership.

I had blowout on the freeway and I didn't have any idea what to do. My wife said why don't you take it to Avery Green Honda where you bought the car. I said dealerships charge way to much to replace a tire. I was wrong. The service department rep was very helpful. She helped me get into a rental right away. My car was ready the next day as promised and I was very pleased with price.

I came in this weekend to purchase a 2013 Pilot ready to battle :) always leery of car dealerships like Honda of El Cerrito UGGGGH. Usually car dealerships are the last place I want to be. Little did I know when I called them and spoke to the Sales Manager Casey how easy and patient the staff at this dealership is. I called with alot of question about the new pilots after reading online about the recalls. He explained to me that when a part is recalled they put a stop sale on to the car in order to take car of the issue. He let me know that while there is always a concern with recalls only two or three of the cars were affected on their lot. So after speaking to him for 15 mins I decided to make my way down to Vallejo to look at some of there models. When I got there I was greeted by Casey who in turn introduced me to Sandra. We went to looking at a couple models and her being patient as I test drove 4 different car which many salesmen dont have patientence for, like at lame a** Honda of El Cerrito!!! Once picking out the model we went inside to do battle over the car and my trade a 2008 Crv in excellent shape. However much to my surprise Casey Came over to ease my concerns as he already appraised my car on the numorus test drive I took, and asked me what I wanted for it in order to siplify things. I asked for good trade in value on KBB to which he said agreed to slightly below that in order to make sure I made my appt in fairfield later in the day. Now came the their car, again much to my surprise things went so easy. They of course started at MSRP like everywhere. But again Casey mde me a fair offer at 1000 over invoice to which I accepted without hesitation it was soooooooo much easier here then at crappy El Cerrito. This dealership is family owned and you can tell from there customer service to their service dept which they introduced me to Darrel if I have any concerns. 5 star in all areas I just wish it was closer to my house but I will gladly by pass El Cerrito any day to be dealt with honestly. Thanks guys

They sold us a van that supposedly has a clean carfax report yet after we got home and got an aerial view of the van noticed a huge dent and several small hail dents that "they had no knowledge of and are very minor and cosmetic" They were great before the sale and horrible 12 hrs later when a question was asked. They were rude and arrogant and ignored repeated emails and calls (because we drove 1 hr to buy the car). They dismissed us quickly and did not attempt to resolve our complaint and asked us to leave the premises. DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM THEM!!!!

I was in the market for a hybrid car to save gas for my 1.25 hour commute. I conducted my research in the internet which narrowed my options between the Prius and the Civic Hybrid. I test drove both cars and found the civic the better value overall. I contacted the internet sales representative, Stephanie, from Avery Green. We made an appointment for a test drive. I had an informative time during my appointment and even considered looking at other models. Stephanie was happy to show me what they had in their inventory. All this time, I've observe no hesitation or impatience from her. She gave us privacy when we needed it, while remaining in view just in case we have a question. When we decided to buy, there was several cars in the lot available. I picked a car and negotiated a price I can live with. There was no pressure sales or gimmicks employed by this dealership. Just an old school business deal that began and ended with a hand shake from Mr. Lott. Just this weekend I visited the service department for the first time. I met a service representative at the drive in service and I was surprise to see that it was Mr. Fox, the service director. I explained to him what my visit is for and he checked me in and had me drinking coffee in the customer's lounge waiting for the service shuttle. It's rare to have your expectation met when it comes to dealing with car dealership. Avery Green surpasses all of mine in which I'm thankful to have so close to home.

This is the first time I have ever written a review online, but these guys went so far and beyond they deserve it so here I go. I had been shoping on the internet for sever weeks being a smart consumer. I had decide I wanted a 2012 CRV EXL for my wife as a gift for her upcoming birthday. After much serching and cross shopping and comparing reviews on dealer rater and Yelp, I finally narrowed it down to 3 dealers and emailed them both to see what they could offer. The first I emailed was Concord Honda and Honda of El Cerrito as they are close to my home, after doing so I emailed Avery Greene as they are about 20 miles away. Once I did I was about to log off my computer as I figured it would take a few hours for them to call me and low and behold a very pleasent email pops up within minutes of my request from Mr. Mai stating he had just a few questions to save time. I wrote him back and started to head out and my phone rings before I leave and who its MR. Mai :). I was very pleased by the high level of service this shows as I had not even received a response by either of the other two dealer ships. After speaking with him several minutes and him showing off his knowledge I asked a question I knew he wouldnt know off the top of his head about the ground clearence in comparison with the old CRV as my driveway is a big hill. I figured he would just give me a canned response just like any other salesman. But oh no this is no regular salesman, he truthfully explained to me that while he had a very good idea of the correct answer but he wanted to be exact and his sales manager was standing near him at the time jumped on the phone immidatly his name is Casey Lott. And WOW this guys knows his stuff he explained to me that while the differnce is less then 2 inches he wanted to make sure that I wasnt looking at the wrong model that would best fit my needs. And do you know what he offered he wanted to bring the car all the way to my home to test it out. And guess what Casey showed up less then 30 minutes later in my driveway with a similar vehicle to what I was looking for. It fit perfect and he showed off his vast array of knowledge on the and the ins and outs of the car. So what do I do Im so overwhelmed by this I go to the dealership with him and buy my next car the exact car my wife wanted for a great dealer and Allen Zou signs me up for a maintance and warranty package I is was looking for any ways. I know its a bit of a drive but these guys did such a great job how could I ever go elsewhere for service when the other dealers were a complete waste of time. 2 days later I get a call from all three togther thank me for my business and actually remember my name and my wifes name wondering how it went. These guys are so great I still cant beileve it. THANK YOU AVERY GREENE HONDA YOU GUYS ARE WELL WORth THEW EXTRA FEW MILES I DROVE. YOU HAVE A CUSTOMER FOR LIFE. I would highly recommend this dealerhip to all my friends and family.

The manager who came to talk to us yesterday may have thought he was the king of the world. Well, not my world. Downright rude, judgmental, had practically no time to talk to us - as if there were many people on the floor when there were none. He probably thought they were our only option, no sir. I can bring my business elsewhere and there are actually guys I would be happier to give my money and business to above my budget, with less haggling. This dealership is not worth my time and my business. Go elsewhere if you want to be treated nicely if you're spending anyway.

My friends and I went to Avery Greene Honda a couple weeks ago and bought a car. Admittedly, worst experience ever. First we were pounced on by 4 sales people huddled around the front of the place. One of them was kind enough to stop and help us. We knew what we wanted but he kept steering us to something else. Finally we got what we wanted, but it took forever to work out the figures. The salesman kept apologizing because the manager was taking a smoke break. What the hell, a 20 minute smoke break? It continued to go downhill from there. Their finance guy Johnny kept pressuring us to buy crap we didn't want, to the point where he made my friends feel stupid. What a wrong way to treat customers. My friends and I spent over 90 minutes with this guy for paperwork that should have taken 5 minutes. On top of that, after we were done with him we had to wait almost another hour for the car to be clean, and it wasn't even done right when they brought it up. So we waited, but were entertained by the circus atmosphere of salesmen. Everything seemed to be a big joke there. After 4 hours we finally left that hole.

My wife has been wanting a new car for a while now, too bad I missed the cash for clunkers last year but my in laws told me about Avery Green Honda and said the salesman there were pretty fair. That was an understatement when I went in, I wanted to get my wife a decent car that was in my price range, so I was pretty worried, but thanks to Jim I was able tog et a new Accord and finance was more flexible than Ive ever experienced with my own credit union. My wife is very happy with her new vehicle and so am I. I would recommend Avery to anyone whos looking for a good deal
