This was the BEST buying experience I have ever had! I was at the Ball Kia Dealership 3 hrs from start to finish and out the door. I dealt specifically with one salesman, Raul R, and I felt he took care of me as if I were a member of his family! I had originally gone in to buy a 2016 Kia Sportage but ended up buying the 2017! I told him the features I had to have and those that I would like to have and then he showed me the vehicles. There were never any hard sales pitches and I did not feel pressured to buy at any time. I was referred to Ball Kia through the Costco Auto Program. I arrived at my appt. time and the Costco salesperson was ready to help me out with a test drive and finding the car I wanted. True to the Costco program after selecting the vehicle I wanted I was shown the dealer invoice and presented with the price and was given the option to say yes or no, non-negotiable which was nice. Following my decision the credit application, down payment, trade in (this was the only negotiation), and financing processes went pretty smoothly. I did have to wait around 30 or so minutes after completing the financing paperwork for my car to be ready, which I was under the impression would have been completed while I was in financing. Additionally, the KARR alarm that was installed in my vehicle was apparently not activated so I have to return this weekend to get that activated. All told I believe it took about 5 hours from stepping on the lot to driving off the lot.My recommendations for improvement would be to streamline the credit process by entering it directly into the computer instead of taking it down on paper first, completing getting the car ready to drive off the lot simultaneously while the customer is in financing and ensuring the KARR alarm is activated before the customer drives off the lot to avoid having to come back to activate that.

We took our Suzuki Forenza to this place trusting that they know what they were doing, the shift stick gear was locking, the backup lamp wasn't working and just that day the check engine light in dashboard had turned on, they told us that just for inspection and diagnostic they would charge $115.00 and we agreed on. We left the unit in the afternoon around 3:00 pm, next day I received " in my cell phone" the call from Jose, the assigned mechanic to check the car, he told me that the check engine light was due to the gas cap was lose, he would charge me the $115.00 for that issue, I told him that was abusive and he told me that he had to run a lot of test to come with that result, an experience mechanic or agent could know that, lose gas cap is the most usual issue for check engines lights comes on, most yet, when cars are owned by women that they haven the same pressure to tie a cap like men. Even thought the lady who received the car the prior day told my girl friend all issues (3 diagnostics) will be covered with the $115.00 Jose told me that to check the other two issues will be $230.00 dollars more, I felt ripped OFF but I had not other choice. That day around 1:30 pm finally Jose called me at "my cell phone" again and told me that there were a switch that controls the back up lights that had to be replace, I told him the the principal problem that we want to fix were the shift gear stick locking itself and he assured me that switch could be the problem, at the end he charged me 496.00 for the whole thing and he was making me a favor of not charging me for the labor of replacing that switch. I say he charged me because he was the one giving me the prices. He started checking the car around 11:00 am, I received the first call around 11:30 am, by two o'clock the car was ready for pick up. that same afternoon we went for it and my girl friend stop at the market for some groceries, and what happened? When she tried to put the gear the shift stick still were doing the same locking thing, by now who ever is reading this nightmare must be tired, so, resuming, we took the car back to them on Tuesday and what happened, after back and forward, they FOUND last friday that the whole shift gear had to be replaced witch will be other 260.00 dollars and they are making the favor of not charging for labor. today, one week later I found a message in my house line answer machine from yesterday, the car was ready for pick up. We asked them to call us to our cells, we asked we work all day long, every time that we were there they wrote in work order our cells numbers, at the end of the day are ending paying 756.00 plus almost two weeks without car for a problems that could be repaired if they were more efficient.

This will be my third car purchase from Ball Automotive. My first experience was stellar, thus leading me to return twice again. This time working with Eric in the Kia showroom was a "no hassle" experience. Eric has a great sense of humor, is very patient, and takes time to listen to his customers needs rather than focusing on his sale. My son is still driving my 2007 Eclipse which needed a few small repairs, and taking the car to the service shop proved to be a great experience as well. Ronny, the new guy, knows his stuff. When I left the house I wasn't planning on buying a car, just wanted to see what KIA had to offer. After looking at many cars, used and new, I settled on a 2015 KIA Optima. They had a new, silver 2014, that was very nice but I wanted a different color that wasn't available on the lot. But Jerry the manager called and found out that there was a 2015 of the color I wanted down at the dock and they went down and got it, prepped it and had it ready for me to take home by the time the paper work was finished. There was no high pressure by anyone and I now have a beautiful burgundy car. Gerry the salesman was very helpful in getting me trained to drive home as there are a lot of electronics to learn about and I'm sure I'll still be learning a long time from now but Gerry told me to come down to the store anytime for any more training I need. A great bunch of people, very patient with me.

Recently I purchased a 2015 Kia Optima and I have to say that my experience top to bottom was excellent. The staff were all friendly and excited to be there and they took pride in what they do. Considering that it was the first time I purchased a Kia they took time to explain the features of car but also the brand itself. I simply told the salesman Armando what car I was interested in and he quickly took me to see what he had in the lot. The sales manager Mike was also very friendly and was quick to answer any of my questions. We ended the day with James in the finance department and that was also a great experience because that's when the details were really explained and I felt at ease with what I had purchased.

At first we were a bit hesitant to go to the dealership because we were a first time buyer and the uncertain feeling creeps up. Once inside the dealership, we were greeted by Mr Gerry Barba and with his professional approach and friendly manner, our (with my family) hesitations and uncertainties on buying a new car just went away. Gerry then asked us in what particular model we are interested in and then took us outside and showed every car model that they have. After that "tour" we have decided to purchase the KIA RIO LX Sedan. Gerry then explained the advantages/disadvantages of the Rio to other KIA models. He even explained further the functions of each buttons on the car and very patient with our questions. Overall, it was an amazing experience, it was just talking to an old friend that you have not seen in a while. This particular Dealership deserves a 5-star rating and would recommend it to those buying a car for the first time. Did I mentioned that we were not left all alone during our visit? Gerry was with us from the very beginning until we drove our car out of the dealership.

Several things influenced us to buy a new Kia Sportage in 2012, one of the main things being the 100,000-mile warranty (that's seriously almost too good to be true!). Another main thing was the MPG, advertised at average over 30, which there ended up being a problem with this estimation and now there is a reimbursement program (be sure to check if the Kia you're interested in is affected by this 'glitch'). Since buying our Kia, we have had it serviced only at Ball Kia. The service has always been friendly and thorough, giving us the peace of mind to continue having it serviced regularly there. We trusted our Kia dealer with our safety and investment. On a Friday night in March 2014 my car had smoke once under the hood. Concerned for the safety of our two young kids, we drove my husbands car the rest of the weekend and took the car in first thing Monday morning. After the car spent the day at Ball Kia repair, we were told that there had been a coolant leak that had caused the motor to overheat and therefore caused a warped head. We were also informed that this was not covered under the advertised outstanding warranty (so it WAS too good to be true??), and that we now owed almost $5000 to to fix the problem and have our car returned to us. OUCH! Several problems exist with not honoring the warranty. First, we were told the radiator drain plug was "stripped" and could not be tightened, and had probably been leaking for a long time. We have 27,000 miles on this car that we bought brand new, and have never had any work done to the cooling system. An ill-fitting radiator drain plug is not a part that we would have touched or accessed in a normal new car. The failure of the radiator drain plug should be covered under the manufacturers warranty. We have never done any self-repair to the Kia, and we have never taken our Kia to anyone but Ball for servicing. This is a manufacturing defect. Second, we were told an indicator light "should have come on frequently warning us of overheating". There was no light. Not once. I'm the 'safety first' type when it comes to driving around my family, and my husband is a seasoned firefighter who has seen a number of accidents caused by car failures and would never allow me to drive with any warning lights on. In the 2 years Ive had the car, I have only seen a tire light for low pressure, and had taken care of it immediately. The car also never showed other signs of overheating. A full week later, my car is still at Ball Kia, sitting as we decide what to do, how to afford this, and how to communicate the necessity of the 100,000 mile warranty to be honored. We are very disappointed with an explanation of how, this could be something you caused or are responsible for. We are not at fault for ill-fitting, and failing parts that we have never touched, nor had warning light alerts prompt us towards repair. Anyone buying a car knows that safety and cost are two highly contributing factors. While we felt confident that Kia offered these things, we have been let down by their failure to deliver on their promises. We have enjoyed our Kia Sportage. We are greatly discouraged that this mechanical failure has occurred and caused an expensive repair. Weve asked that the 100,000 mile warranty be honored which was the draw for us to choose a Kia over a Chevrolet, or even a BMW. We had hoped this would be a warranty that would help us if it was ever needed due to the many malfunctions that can occur in vehicles. This type of malfunction in a vehicle, to us, is the spirit behind a manufacturer offering a 100,000 mile warranty. Sometimes things go wrong with something someone builds. The problem should not be passed on to the purchaser. The warranty should be honored. We do hope that the advertisement behind this product will be honored.

Overall I was most satisfied with my experience in purchasing a new Kia. Very pleasant atmosphere and comfortable negotiations in arriving at a price. Initially I felt uncomfortable with the car having an additional dealer-installed alarm already (not cheap). But on balance, I am glad: it is a superb alarm system (and hopefully will in part pay for itself by reducing insurance premium).Would particularly recommend that you seek out (in sales): Armando Rivera and Jaime Ocampo. Business office: Christy Mendoza was so pleasant and efficient; and quite patient.I should also mention the general manager for Kia Sales -- Rich Rineback: he is so congenial and knowledgeable , patient, helpful (well beyond the cal of duty)I have bought many cars in my life: this is by far my most pleasant experience -- feeling so comfortable in what usually is a tense situation.Thank you Rich. I was dissatisfied with the length of time people seemed to be waiting to meet with salespeople, when it was clear that there were salespeople in the offices not doing anything specific. There was no reason it should have taken 10-15 minutes for them to make a simple photocopy I requested, and when I went past the office for a cup of water, the salesperson was just sitting in a chair talking with the guys. I had a lot to of places I was scheduled to visit on Saturday and did not appreciate that my time and the fact that my husband had a horrible headache was not respected. I also observed a different salesperson was meeting with a woman and her mother and seemed to not hear some basic things that were repeated over and over again. That family reported to me they had already been there 3 hours.Overall, I would not go back to your dealership, and I have already purchased a different car that is better suited to my needs.

I stopped into Ball Kia after visiting other area Kia dealers and not getting very good service. I have a lot of new car buying experience (18 purchases in total), and this definitely ranks in my top 3 experiences ever. Raul was fantastic! He did everything in his power to make my experience quick and painless. Even after I decided to leave the first day and come back, I didn't get pressured to "buy right now" or lose the deal. And this almost always is the case at most dealerships. Even after I made the purchase, Raul has been the best salesman and representative of Ball Kia he could possibly be. I had a bit of an issue with the service department which is actually located across the street at the Ball Mitsubishi dealership, and Raul got engaged immediately to rectify the situation. I highly, highly recommend stopping by this dealership and asking for Raul if you are seriously in the market to buy a car. Kia has come a long way since I bought my first one in 2006 and you can't go wrong with the new 2013 and 2014 models for sure. My wife's new 2013 Kia Optima Hybrid EX was a great purchase at a decent price and will give us years of enjoyment instead of worry and regret.Thank you Raul...and thanks Ball Kia for making this a good experience. Would recommend based on prices and willingness to help with financing, not customer service. I got no initial greeting on arrival. When I mentioned on the way to the second lot to look at other options that I wasn't necessarily going to buy until May, Oscar mentioned that it didn't make much sense to be looking at the other used vehicles because they may not be there. Later, when in the office, I almost fell out of broken chair, Oscar made no attempt to find a chair that was not broken.

I think Louie did a great job as a sales representative. However, the sales manager was not too friendly and very short with his comments. I have had experience with other sales managers and the one I dealt with was not someone I was seek to deal with again. He didn't even come back with an offer, he simply said it was too low. Anyhow, I did have an excellent manager at the Kearny Mesa Acura that was willing to work with me and that's where I purchased the vehicle. I do not plan in taking me new car to this facility or will recommend it.

This lease was for my son and he was extremely pleased with the service, cleanliness of the car, the willingness for the dealership to travel to get the car he wanted, and explanation of how all the equipment works on the car. He was truly one happy kid. We did not shop from dealership to dealership, so we have no way of telling if we got the rock bottom price, but I do believe it is a very fair price. This car--the Kia Opticma EX will serve my son for quite a few years to come.

During my search for a car I have visted Ball Kia over 10 times and each time I would go I always returned home on the trolley. I came so often they new me by name and Derrick patiently answered my questions each time. He knew i was interested so he called my cell regularly asking me to come back. I would returned and he would encourage me to take a test drive and I would insist no for I wanted to shop around and I was adamant about my price.He sat with me and explain everything I possible could ask. he called me on the 18 of may and I returned little did he know i was prepared to purchased a car and when i went he was always happy to assit me knowing he might not win me over for i am a difficult shopper. I used the Costco program and I was never even asked for my Costco card. I was not shown a sheet that showed a Costco discount instead they told me some formula used on CPO cars. Once the papers were signed I was sent on my way with out being shown how any of the technology on my car worked. I was not given an owners manual or even a tank of GAS! They gave me the car with just enough gas to get home! It was awful. I won't go back. Oh I am a single woman and I guess they felt they didn't have to treat me very well.

We are delighted with the professionalism of the Ball Kia staff. It took over a week, after our first visit, for them to locate our car whose color, Dune, apparently is rare, but they persisted and she now sits in front of our house. From our arrival to departure we were treated like family! We felt that our price and trade-in were fair and are extremely pleased. Even our keys were special: in addition to our remotes, one of which they located after an extensive search, we were given three regular "backup" keys, which arrived while were being given our walk-around by Felipe. Our only regret is that we can only purchase one car!

I went there not expecting to purchase that day and just wanted to see what they had. But after discussing my situation and taking a test drive, I was offered a deal I couldn't refuse. The car I purchased was missing an item (the organizer tray inside the trunk), but they ordered me a new one and I'll hopefully get it soon. Eric & Luis made my first car buying experience a pleasant one.

While the car basically sold itself, the dealership employees treated us very well. They listened to our concerns and explained everything very carefully. When it was determined the exact model and color were not available at this dealership, they made numerous phone alls and spent considerable time locating possible cars for a dealer trade. They finally found one in Anaheim. Gustavo drove to Anahiem on Monday and brought me my fabulous new Optima.The finance person, Joe, also explained everything thoroughly and helped us get an excellent interest rate. This is my second purchase from a Ball dealership. I highly recommend them, but especially Kia.

I had emailed to get a quote on a new Kia Sportage. We decided to test drive and if we liked to purchase. Frank said if he was not available to ask for Jennifer. When my husband called both were out but there would be someone to help us and the car was still available. We arrived at the Kia dealer and the first red Sportage they showed us was not the car with the quote but they would find it for us. We could test drive this one. After 2 tries at trying to get the car started the salesperson gave up and went to look for another Red Sportage which was on the Honda Lot. We took that out for a quick test drive. The car was ok and had plenty of room. When we got back the salesperson kept saying this is not the car from your quote we can't find it but we will. So we waited and I was getting very irritated at this point. What poor service all around. Then the salesperson said he would check on the price we could get this sportage but he would have to see his manager. OK now we have to play the stupid manager game. He came back with a quote of $22995 which we had a internet price on a similar vehicle for $21,695. Now I know I asked for a $24,400 red Sportage but he said there was no way the would sell a $24,400 car for $21,695. He said the internet departments only job was to get customers in not to quote them. Excuse me didn't it say get a quote right online? Well we just walked away. Went to Nissan, purchase a cute little Juke and drove away in our $24,000 car. The bottom line here is we were willing to go to $22,00 but did not want to play the game. You lost a customer and you lost any of our future business. It is really true what they say about a happy person really doesn't share with that many people but someone that is unhappy shares with many. So no I won't be buying a car from Ball Automotive Group and I sure won't be recommending them to anyone.

Referred to your dealership by COSTCO and was expecting costco prearranged pricing for the car I was looking for. Test drive went fine, Jose was very helpful in the process. We sat down while Bernard was attempting to locate the car we were looking for. When I asked what the costco price was for the car I was interested in, he told me that the costco pricing for the CRV had been "cancelled" due to high demand and low inventory brought on by the Japan tsunami. If I had known their was no costco pricing, I would never have driven across town to your dealership when there is one practically in my backyard here in Chula Vista. Great Bait and Switch tactic. When I called Costco why they sent me to a dealership whose prearranged pricing had been "cancelled", they were just as confused because they were not aware of the "cancellation". I think Ball Honda was just trying to squeeze a little bit more profit. Well good luck because you will not see me in your dealership again (plus I will tell as many friends and neighbors about your scam).

I was in the market for a new car and this dealer had the car I was looking for. The layout of the website is very easy and that is one of the biggest things that attracted me to this dealer. The overall experience was very good as well. They contacted me the quickest out of all the other dealers I called and had a very professional and "can do" attitude that is very key in sales. There was some lack of communication between the members at Ball Mitsubishi but it was easily cleared up. I was refered to Ball Kia through the Costco Fleet Buying Program. I knew what car and options I wanted. Carlos and his staff were very helpful. I wanted a Kia Forte 5 dr with a manual transmission. He had a black one but I wanted red. After finding out how Kia works special orders I decided to get the black one. Carlos worked a deal for me because I had waited for the spacial order then later found out Kia has no special order program in place. Now all the Ball Kia sales staff know you can't special order a Forte 5dr. Carlos and the sales staff at Ball Kia went the extra mile to keep me informed and turn what could have been a bad experience into a good one.
