I had been shopping for a truck for about 6 months before I went to Basil. I had found a truck at a nearby dealer and had a terrible time making a deal with them. After I left, I was driving by and decided to stop. Mikaela greeted me outside. She was very friendly and knowledgeable. I am a young first time car buyer with limited credit. I had been to many dealerships in the past who DID NOT listen to my wants or need. A lot of other dealers just pushed cars on me regardless if I could afford the payment or even liked the car. Basil was very clean to walk into. Everyone was friendly, even the people I wasn't working directly with. Everyone was supportive. I got to drive all the cars I was interested in and when I had it narrowed down to two was given a price for both of them and they let me decide which one would work better for me. Never did they force me to buy a car. They simply laid out all my options to see which would work best and because of their customer service and kindness I choose to buy a car from them and am very satisfied!

I often despair of the vanishing quality in customer service. It still exists at Basil in Fredonia, and I couldn't be happier. Our sales person truly listened to what my husband wanted in a replacement vehicle, and we bought the only vehicle she showed us. Everyone was polite. We were truly treated like family - which is something that we had despaired of ever seeing again. Everyone was friendly, professional, yet we felt we would be welcomed at any time. We were quite stressed as our only working vehicle broke down, so this dealership was truly the answer to a prayer. The atmosphere and helpfulness were both exactly what "the doctor ordered" to restore our Christmas spirit!

I brought my vehicle in for a routine inspection one year after I purchased the vehicle pre-owned with a clean inspection and mileage was kept well under 10,000 for the year. After a good deal of time, I was notified that my vehicle had failed inspection and would require over $800. in repairs to make it passable. I decided to seek another opinion as their estimate seemed extremely high, and low and behold the 2nd opinion was entirely different from that of Basil's service department in Fredonia. Unfortunately, the 2nd garage was not equipped to perform the service required. That said, I took my vehicle to another garage which agreed with the 2nd and performed the necessary repairs and inspection for $110. The moral of the story is that had I not investigated further my wallet would have been over $700. lighter...

I've just recently brought a used car with great working conditions. The payments are fair and they have great warranty for used automobiles. Everyone at Basil is nice and friendly plus very helpful. Dealership is comprised of a great team of professionals. Justin Giles helped me out with question over the internet. I called Justin C. I told him exactly what I wanted and I got exactly that. They even offered to bring the truck to me if I couldn't get there. I live close to an hour away. I would say the dealership's best attribute is the commitment they have with the customer after the vehicle is sold. Most dealer's won't remember your name the day after you purchase a vehicle. Justin did a great presentation on the facility and services they have to offer. Plus he explained everything about the truck and how it worked. I stopped into Basil Fredonia to look at a pre-owned Malibu . I was greeted by a very nice and professional sales consultant named Paul . Paul took his time and showed me the Malibu and all the functions ( I drove a Malibu on Vacation , but he still showed me other things I was not aware of ) During our test drive I explained that I had a few bad marks on my credit . He explained how they had a top notch Finance Department that could help with this . By the end of the Day I was driving my beautiful new car . I would like to thank Paul for being a true professional , I will go back to see him when it comes time to trade up , and I will recommend friends and family as well .

My experience with they guys at basil fredonia was okay. I felt forced and rushed into purchasing my used 2015 chrysler 200. I told them a range in what I could afford monthly for payments. They said they could get the payments in that range. They rushed me to sign all the paperwork before even knowing what my payments would be. Come to find out they exceeded my max price I could pay monthly. Now I'm stuck in payments over my head for the next six years. Not to mention they called me in the next day because they had to raise my intrest rate that I already had signed for. I also asked about some chips in the paint and stains on the roof liner. They said they could touch it up and fix it for me. Nothing was fixed nor touched up. I think next time I may go somewhere else.

Bought a used 2014 Jeep Cherokee and the following day I did not want the vehicle due to the engine light and transmission light popping on. They told me I was not able to get another vehicle unless I trade my vehicle in which then I would lose out money so no thanks. They convinced me to purchase the vehicle when I initially went to look at a Nissan Murano. They also said they would fix my vehicle which they were not able to "replicate" the issue and I now have another dealership fixing the car. I have also talked with the Executive Manager who said I freaking out about the issue. I did not want to purchase the vehicle to begin with due to reviews on the vehicle with numerous transmission issues in which the salespeople said no one reads reviews and the only people who write those are the unhappy customers. They also told me they are unable to do dealer to dealer trades for vehicles which is also not true. Pretty sure a 101 point vehicle inspection was never done on the vehicle seeing a recall / software update was needed after purchasing the vehicle. It was also on the carfax prior to sale. Beware when buying a used vehicle here! Granted a rental was received while they tried to fix the car but for the last month it's been stressful trying to ensure I have a reliable car that's not going to break down soon after purchasing. Will not be returning to purchase a vehicle at this dealer nor will I refer anyone to buy a used vehicle.

I can not say enough about the Fredonia Basil Family. They are truly sincere. I got to walk through and even meet the Ladies behind the scene. Marge, Gary Thompson and Paul Star worked very to get me a great deal. I am going to do everything to refer everyone I know that's in search of a new vehicle to the Fredonia branch. The service group (Casey and the guys) at the front desk are wonderful people. They take the time to explain the problem and the salutation to you. They do not take advantage of you. The shuttle service is wonderful. The driver makes you feel very comfortable. The refreshment in the waiting area is 5 star. Jason Giles did not push you to buy extras for the car, that's comfortable.

The car was a left over 2014. All the dealer personnel were very knowledgeable and professional. However, after the sale was finalized I was told that the car needed paint repairs. They set up the repairs at a dealer closer to my home. The repairs were done very well. When I closed the sun roof sun shield for the first time I discovered that the last 6 inches of the drivers side were not in the track. Another trip to a dealer is now necessary. I feel that a new vehicle should not be sold with defects that are not repaired before it is offered for sale or at least be made known before the contract is signed.

My first time ever dealing with Basil in Fredonia was my last. First of all, I was told that the vehicle I purchased would be ready for me one morning. I had to adjust my work schedule because of it. When I arrived at the dealership the morning I was told it would be ready, I was told that it was NOT ready as they needed to put brakes and tires on the vehicle. Now, mind you, they knew well enough in advance that I was coming. Don't you think they would have checked all of that out? Anyway, they didn't even have the common courtesy to call me and let me know that the car was NOT going to be ready so I could have made other arrangements. Secondly, I was told to drop the car off this morning (03/25/15) to have the remote start installed. The week prior, I had told the salesman that I leave for work at 7:30 am, so I specifically asked what time they open. He told me "7:00 am." So, I arrive to the dealership at 7:13 this morning and they are closed!!! The door shows their hours...they don't open until 7:30 am!! Again, they didn't have the common courtesy to call me to let me know that they made a mistake. So, once again, I had to adjust my schedule for nothing! I will NEVER AGAIN DO BUSINESS WITH BASIL!!

Me and my wife drove all the way from Ohio for a used Camry. We had not seen it and relied on the pictures and the info we got from the sales rep we worked with 'Paul'. At the beginning we were skeptical about taking the whole trip to New York. Beyond our doubts we took the trip anyway. When we got there, Paul and the rest of staff welcomed us and were very friendly. The car was ready, and we took it for a test drive before going into the transaction. After a not so pleasant experience with a former employee, I vowed to never return to the dealership again. Well, after much convincing by my husband, I returned and am so glad I did. The entire staff took care of my needs during a highly emotional time in my personal life, and made me feel like I was in good hands and being treated honestly and fairly. Kaitlyn, Travis, Troy and Justin worked hard as a team to ensure a smooth leasing process. The staff was very helpful and friendly while I was waiting for service. My girlfriend and I felt very welcome there, and buying a car wasn't really stressful. It was hard at first to figure out an appointment time for filling out all necessary paperwork and figuring out financing, but the difficulty came from the inflexibility of my own schedule, not theirs. Also, the check engine light on the used car I got came on less than a week after buying. But when I brought this to their attention, they saw me without appointment, performed necessary maintenance, and I was on the road again in two hours at no cost! Great service; would recommend to anyone looking for an affordable car that will be backed by the people selling it to you.

Not please. Leased a vehicle prior to another attempt to lease again. Never had return phone calls. I had to constantly call to keep in touch. Was told that the system was down so they wouldn't be able to tell me anything while I was there and would call me the next day. Never heard back. Did not hear back from salesman Nick at all. When I called And asked to go down and discuss, I was told things would be discussed. A specific time was placed and when I got there this person was just so convienetnly meeting with another customer. I was told I could wait for 30-45 mins. No thanks. Probably will not return in the future.

Jim had went with me in the test drive, and helped me get the car ready to purchase. Duane did the paperwork with me. I took my 2012 Malibu to Basil Chevrolet, as it was the nearest Dealer to me and I was nearing the 36,000 miles on my bumper to bumper warranty. I had not purchased the car from them. I had a couple of issues that I wasn't sure could be found - both noise issues. Not only did Basil find them and take care of them, they called me about a couple other things (like my inspection, which was overdue and had completely slipped my mind) and were so very helpful. My car is completely taken care of and they concluded with a wash! Everyone there was so courteous and helpful. I will consider buying from them the next time! I feel they went over and above board to take care of me properly and completely.

We just renewed a lease on a 2014 Chevy Malibu by turning in our old lease of a 2011 Toyota Camry that we had originally financed at Fucillo Toyota in Grand Island. Why didn't we return to Grand Island? Because Basil Fredonia offered FAR SUPERIOR service than what we received at Fucillo!!! I was in search of an upgrade from my old reliable Chevy Blazer and I contacted Gary Thompson (salesman). My husband and I had a great experience in purchasing a new 2014 Chevy Silverado pickup from Basil of Fredonia. From the moment we met Nick we were put at ease, he was friendly and courteous. Nothing turns us off more when purchasing a new vehicle then a pushy salesman. We usually just walk out before any paper work is started. Nick made us feel comfortable and hopeful in purchasing a new vehicle. After stating what features we wanted and needed on our truck Nick went right into action. He discussed our options and costs of additions of these features. He explained all options clearly and thoroughly, and was very patient with our questions. After being there about a half hour I told Nick that dealing with him and his dealership was the best experience we had ever had in buying a vehicle. Nick gave us a tour of their offices, service shop and waiting room and introducing us to each member of the department. He did this quickly and efficiently. This is my second purchase from Debbie Lineman at Basil's. This is the 6th Chevrolet Truck I have owned. Because Chevrolet, Harley Davidson,and apple pies all speak for themselves they almost sell themselves..At Basil's there is very little sales pitch pressure to make a purchase. I felt comfortable in the purchase negotiations with her and Roger. I had been thinking about replacing my Avalanche since last spring. In July my life changed, I retired, and I knew I needed more truck than my Avalanche. My wife and I intend to travel with our toy hauler so I gave up a little comfort to do the job I needed. Debbie patiently worked with me for 8 months. She invited me to come look at several vehicles during that time period. Because of our conversations she knew what I was looking for and what truck would fit my personality. One terrible wintry day Debbie called to say there was a 2012 Silverado, with tow package, 6 speed transmission, 5.3 L engine they had just taken in and I should come see it. She thought it would be a good match for me. When I got there it was inside, clean and dry.We looked at it and talked about it for hours. The price was right, I drove it, it did fit! As luck would have it they had a 2014 red 4x4 Silverado truck in the show room. It was love at first sight. The Leasing process went smoothly. After a test ride and the paper work was done Dave took me through the Basil Dealership and introduced me to all the people working there. Every hand shake was firm and accompanied a friendly smile. Bought car in February and by November they say the car needs $2800 in repairs. This car has 31,000 miles on it (I only drove 5,000 of those) and they tried to sell me rack and pinion, strut mounts, brakes, and links. I decided to take it somewhere else. I got the car fixed for just under $300. The only problem was the links. There must be a 200% mark-up on their parts and they look for things that a woman might not know about. I am so disappointed and will never do business with them again.

They helped me to get out of that lease(the original dealership failed at that) and into a more suitable vehicle for our family! I will never go anywhere else for another vehicle! I looked at many dealerships for a vehicle. I ended up at Robert Basil in Fredonia due to the fact of the excellent reputation they have. My employer has a fleet of vehicles that are chevys. Basil services them whenver there is a problem the in house mechanic can not take care of. The service people are teriffic to deal with. You always have a clean car when it is returned to you. They also have a shuttle service to take you home while the work is being completed. The sales woman I dealt with was not the least bit pushy.She was really very knowledgeable about the car and went out of her way to explain all the features of the vehicle. The price was explained and they did not try to high ball you like most other dealers would do. You did not hear, oh let me talk to my manager and then talk to many other people. The car is great, I love it and hope to have it for a long time with no problems. I can't say enough good about this dealership. If you are in the market for a new or used car, I think the should be checked out.

I had previously bought 3 vehicles from basils on transit rd a new chevy silverado 2012 and a used 2008 caddy cts, also a 2004 caddy cts . I had very positive experiences. The staff was friendly and helpful. Then assuming i would get same treatment i went to Joe Basil in Fredonia, and i traded my 2008 caddy in for a new buick regal so we decided to lease this vehicle. After 2 days of driving this i new i should of either kept my caddy or leased a new caddy as the ride is just not the same. I called my salesman Jasen Peters and told him i was not happy with the new buick.He basicly said i was stuck for 3 years in my lease Nothing could be done i felt he was very abrupt with me not being pleased. This is the first time i have ever leased so i didnt understand the whole program we decided on a dime. I will be driving this car wishing i was driving my caddy or a new caddy because that is my preferance it is a much better ride for the next 3 years im stuck in a deal i wish i didnt make. As for joe basil in fredonia, i will do my dealing elesewhere. I feel once you drive a caddy stay with a caddy i dont need rudeness when im spending lots of money.

I went to Basil fredonia with the interest of a 2010 Ford Fusion that was at Basil in Buffalo. I had planned on getting the car transferred to Fredonia. I had absolulty no intent on buying a new car that day. I just wanted to shop and see what my truck was worth. Debbie Lyman and Roger Whisner asked me if I would consider a 2011 Ford Fusion that was on their lot in Fredonia. This car was a little more in price and less miles. I was pretty firm on what I was going to spend due to a budget. They worked with me but after a few hours I was driving home with a new ford fusion! Never would I had thought that nor would I end up with a engine Warranty on my vehicle just for buying it from a dealership!

This is the 3rd vehicle I have purchased from Robert Basil in Fredonia and it will not be the last. Everyone there is wonderful, everyone there takes such great care of you from the minute you drive into the parking lot. Debbie Lineman is the BEST sales person around. Roger, Duane, Jim, Terry, Jose, Jason, Casey, EVERYONE is so friendly and helpful. I recommend anyone that is looking for a new or used car go there!!!

I was looking for a used car. Met Debbie at the dealership, and thougth I found a friend. I told her what I wanted, we went to the computer. Went home and did further computer browsing. Went back the next day and redefined my criterion. Went home with a used 2012. I am very happy!!!

Our salesman Gary was a pleasure to deal with. He was not your typical pushy salesperson but continued to follow up even after we left dealership. In the long run his follow up was what got him the sale as it showed we were not just a dollar figure to him. The rest of the staff Jose and Terry & Jim were all very helpful as well. I was a sworn Ford man after a poor experience with the former ownership of this location back in 2004. I'd dealt with Debbie Lineman before with another purchase for a Cobalt in 2010 and for the first time in a long time, buying a vehicle was a pleasent experience. So,now that I was looking again, I thought I'd give her another shot. And right I was. I went home the very same night with a new vehicle. I told her what I was looking for and what I wanted and she delivered. I love my new Chevy!

After recently looking forever for a decent truck I found a real clean 2500HD crew cab at Basil Fredonia. I worked with Debbie Lineman and Jim Amatuzzo. Debbie took me on a nice road test in two different trucks. Finally I chose the one that better suited me. No pressure no key stealing or holding you against you will playing games. I spent a whole day in Buffalo shopping for a sonic.I decided to go locally to Basil chevy and my favorite color sonic was on the lot. Jason was a big help to me in many ways. We went over my shifting because the car is manual,pricing,and trade in. He was very nice and gave alot of info. along with the other staff.Basil really treats their customers good. I have never seen this at other dealerships.

My husband and I went looking at the possibility of leasing a new 2013 Equinox. Thanks to Dave we found out that by leasing a new 2012 Equinox we could get a much better deal. And Terry helped us have even a better deal. They both understand our needs for a vehicle and how we like to lease and finance.
