I do not recommend this dealership. I was starting the process on a Jeep sale and they sold it from under me after I was willing to leave a downpayment to hold it but instead took someone else's and let them hold it 2 weeks after I inquired to do. The dealerships near Boston - Kelly, 495, & Quirk - have such better customer service and actually care about their customers.

I knew exactly what I wanted and Bertera delivered. The discussion of trade and cost were upfront and hassle free. The signing was also low pressure, friendly and efficient. I purchased out of state so there was a wait to take delivery but my sales person, Dan got all of the paperwork submitted timely and as soon as it was available, he called me. I purchased new but they still made sure it was clean and full of gas before I left. I highly recommend this dealership!

It’s taken me a while to write this review because I’ve been loving the wrangler I bought from Bertera Jeep in Westfield. Everyone I worked with Sam, Zach, and Anissa were awesome. It was a little more complicated for us since we live 100 miles away, but we scheduled times to see the car and likewise when we bought it. The car was spotlessly cleaned on our pickup. We had to bring my husband's car there a year ago and they said the transmission needed replacing. After more than $4,000 and two weeks it was finally done. They do not provide loaners eiither so we had to rent a car. Now he is havng more issues with the transmission and they will not likely honor the warranty. They do not seem to know what they are doing and "shotgun" the repair work!

Honestly one of the best buying experiences we ever had. Car was in stock, price was the same as the website, didn't have to haggle, salesman was honest. Dealership was very fair on pricing and I got a good deal on my trade in. Overall, buying a vehicle was fast economical, and believe it or not, actually enjoyable. The reason I gave this 4 stars was for a couple of reasons but I will first start off stating that our Salesman, Steve was great! He was extremely friendly and a pleasure to work with. Unfortunately, when we returned to pick up the vehicle, he was off for the day. We arrived at 10:45 in the morning and didn't leave until after 1:00. When we 1st arrived we waited 15+minutes to go in a room and sign paperwork. After that, we were told to have a seat and someone would be with us shortly. Well, after sitting there for over and hour, we started asking questions but no one could really help us, until we spoke to what we can only think was the manager. I guess they were waiting for one last paper for us to sign, but common courtesy would have been to acknowledge us and let us know. Although they were all nice, you really can't have people sitting around waiting with no explanation. We live 1 1/2 hours away and didn't want to waste our entire day sitting around. That was our main issue with this dealership. The only other disappointment was that we were told that they would touch up some of the scratches on the car but it's obvious that wasn't done, so that was a little disappointing. Overall though, they are nice people, the price was right for the car and we would probably go there again, if the price was right and could work with Steve again.

My husband and I were contacted by Peggy, who is in charge of online sales. She was very courteous and I liked that she called me first thing in the morning after I left an e-mail the prior night via online, regarding a 2013 dodge avenger. John gorganz I believe was our sales man and he is very nice and knowledgable. I already knew the price range, car and mileage I wanted to stay within. He was very helpful, we took the car for a test drive and it went well. The sales manager was also helpful, Jack I think was his name and gave us all the details of purchasing a newly used vehicle. We purchased a 2013 dodge avenger with only 11,000 miles ad in great shape. My overall experience was stressless and very enjoyable. I will never purchase another vehicle before going on cars.com first!

Just horrible experience. Never again will we use them for anything.. Lost at least 2 diehard dodge owners for life. I want to give some great feedback about your employees in the Service Dept, Nate and Steve. My 09 Jeep Patriot was dying a slow death on the Mass Pike on Friday, July 19 on my way from my home in Newton, MA to my son's summer camp in the Catskills in NY to meet my husband who was pulling counselor duty that week at camp. A transmission warning light went on and I could no longer go above 40 mph. I luckily could pull into the Westfield police barracks and contact my dealership in Natick to see if they could tell me what was wrong. They advised me to get towed to your dealership so that you, being the closest Jeep dealership, could diagnose what was wrong. I called my husband to let him know what was going on and he borrowed a friend's car to meet me at the dealership. I called the tow truck and was brought to Bertera around 1:30 PM. I was visibly shaken by my episode on the Pike (I never knew how close a semi could come to the back of my car until that day) and Nate was very calm and reassuring in letting me know that he would take care of me and that they would take a look at the car and figure it out. My husband joined me an hour later in the waiting room and we were soon told by Nate and the mechanic Steve, that it was an issue with the transmission and that according to what Jeep said, it looked to be an issue with dirty trans fluid and trans pan. You didn't have a new pan in stock but Nate assured us that it would be brought in the next day and worked on by Steve. Nate knew the story of my husband and I needing to still go up to the Catskills and offered to assist us to get a rental from Enterprise. He gave us the estimate of work to do and I went into my wallet to discover I only had my debit card (which has a limit of $500) - credit cards were at home. I asked if I could write out a check for some and put the rest on the card and he checked with his boss who agreed to the check (very nice considering it wasn't a local bank at all). Nate called us twice on Saturday to give us updates on the car (which at 4 years and 64,000 miles shouldn't have a transmission issue) and agreed to let us pay cash for the remaining balance on the work rather than using our debit card. Steve took the Jeep for a long test drive to make sure nothing was wrong. I cannot say enough good things about your service "Wonder Twins" - especially for someone who doesn't live around your area and will probably never be in your dealership again. Nate went above and beyond - he made an awful situation bearable and really took control and made everything right. My deepest appreciation for them both.

We will admit to almost not even pursing a purchase based on past experiences that were nightmares at the other dealerships we went to. Keeping in mind I loved my '88 Jeep and drove it 25 years, one can almost understand my stupidity when you handed me a car key with a computer chip in it! I Don't know were to start. How about when the salesman Nick raised the price of the car by $2,000.00 after agreeing on a price, than refusing to give my car keys back after asking for them 6 times. Or the internet sales person Peggy and her assistant not showing up for a 6:15 appointment. I went in there knowing dealing with car salesman is awful. but I don't need to be insulted and held hostage while looking to buy a new car. I was one second away from calling the police before they finally gave me my own car keys back. I can't believe hostage taking works? If you want to be insulted, lied to, held hostage, and treated like a worm, this is the place to go. Thanks Nick and Peggy, I hope your boss sees this. I will call him and make sure. WOW, I can't even inagine what it's like after you sign on the line.

Within 2 weeks of purchasing a car from Bertera, the car leaked dry of oil. I immediately contacted the service department to ask for advice and was told by Wendy NOT to drive the car and to have it towed to the nearest Honda dealership...no assistance on Bertera's behalf in this process. I looked around and reported back to Bertera with quotes and time-frames for what they had requested. I was given the "OK" with the assurance that it was Bertera's responsibility now. My car was towed away and found out to have a faulty oil pan / non-standard gasket that had been stripped thus causing the severe oil leak--something that should have been noticed in a proper evaluation of the car according to the Honda servicemen dealing with the issue. The certified Honda service center, where the car was towed, explained that the car was not safe to drive and that Bertera was not returning calls in a timely manner which caused a delay in servicing the car. I received NO updates from Bertera and had to take the initiative to contact them each time I needed information. In the end, I was without a car for 3 full days and had to find a rental car. When speaking with Dave, the Service Manager at Bertera, and asking for reimbursement for the towing and rental expenses I paid, he explained that Bertera would not be responsible for the cost of the rental and that a Massachusetts law requiring a $100 down deductible would be "waived" since I paid $100 for the towing; Bertera, according to Dave, found this to be "fair" and good...even generous, surprisingly. He did say, however, that he would "leave a note on the General Managers desk (clearly competent business practices) about my request for the rental car reimbursement and would get back to me as soon as he had more information. Nearly 1 week later, I had to once again make the contact to Bertera to ask about the status of the rental reimbursement. Dave said "John was in a meeting" and that he would get back to me. I received, later that day, a voicemail from Dave explaining that he had NO recollection of my asking for reimbursement for the rental and that "[he] took pretty good notes" and didn't remember anything about our conversation. I was in shock over such blatant cover-ups and lies. I drove to Bertera the following day to speak personally with John Langevin, General Manager, to lay things out clearly and in a civil manner. John greeted me with a heartless smile and addressed me with more condescension than necessary to the point where I had to directly, and in no uncertain terms, ask him to speak civilly and stop creating hypothetical scenarios that had NOTHING to do with the situation at hand. I simply asked for advice as a consumer in the situation in which I was finding myself and ultimately for 3 days of my car rental to be reimbursed by Bertera since it was Bertera, after only 2 weeks of driving off their lot with my car, who instructed me not to drive my car, to have it towed away, and to wait for their follow-up instructions. I'm still waiting.... I've left out the fact that I was chased down in the parking lot while driving away the first day I purchased the car since the first financing contract I signed was erroneous due to Bertera's sloppy practices. A new contract had to be drafted. That should have been the first sign that this would not be a good consumer / business relationship. The fact that the car had major flaws revealing themselves after only 2 weeks driving off the lot should have been the second. I remained optimistic and presented myself to the General Manager directly to clearly state my concerns and ask for professional advice. John Langevin exemplified without a flaw Bertera's faulty, inconsiderate, and most importantly irresponsible regard for the consumer and overall well-being of customer relations practices. Rest assured: if youre looking for a struggle and disingenuous treatment, Bertera is for you. If not, avoid at all cause.

Brought my very clean vehicle with all service records in for a trade to purchase a slightly used car. Using their own website tools to evaluate the condition and value of my car, the so called guaranteed value of my car was $13000. Yet when I arrived, they claimed my car was not in excellent condition as I thought but was in good condition so now my car was only worth $10,000. It just so happened they had a car on their lot of the same model and year of my car with the same options but with less miles listed at over $17000. These people are not fair to deal with.

I Just bought a 2013 Jeep Wrangler a few weeks ago from Bertera Westfield and I love it. The Sales guys there were great and made the buying process very easy. I would reccomend this dealership to all my friends

My parents and i traded in a car for a 2006 Jeep Commander, we "bought" a 2 year warranty that covers alot,and it still had manufacture warranty, 30 days later the truck breaks down, and we look at the paper work the "trade" was never put and deducted from the original price, and we supposibly never bought the warranty. and they told us that we couldnt pass the manufacturers warranty under our name, luckily our family mechanics repaired out truck, and we are stuck with a loan on a truck thats worth $10,000 less then what we owe, . my advice is be careful, and watch for the full paperwork.

John langevin & Will from Bertera Dodge agreed to purchase a Dodge from another dealership in another state, that was to be a gift for our son's B Day. They said it was on its way from Colorado, i asked if they would agree to put new tires and brake pads on the car if they were old. They would not agree to this, so i went back to further discuss this with my husband, the next day i called and said Ok we'll still want the car for our son. I was told by Will, sorry Too late we already sold the car to someone else. We truly believe they SOLD the car (which was a Unique model we asked for), because they figured it would sell for more money than the amount they agreed to for us to purchase it. John & Will knew how much it meant to us to get this particular car for our son. Luckily we did find another one closer and ended up getting that one from a Wonderful,honest dealership. I would never purchase a vehicle or recommend this dealership to anyone.
