Bought a '13 crv today. Found the place because they were offering at a fantastic price. Very busy Saturday. Salesman trying to balance three people at once ( even though we had an appointment.) Took one hour to find out if a different car was certified. No one could answer. Never did find out! Check-out process was quite slow. Took 45 minutes to learn the loan rate and payment info. If the deal hadn't been so good we most certainly would have left. Too many people involved, all very nice, but they need to figure out how to work together MORE EFFICIENTLY. Five hours later.. great car, great price, lousy experience.

I had bought a new car for my wife in December at the Ford dealer in Wilmington which I was treated great by everyone including when I have gone back for routine service. I then began looking for a used vehicle for myself a couple months later, Bill Kay happen to have the vehicle I wantet. The sale went pretty good and was hoping I had found another dealer that made you feel comfortable with your choice. It was after when there was some hopefully small issues with the vehicle came up that the dealership showed were just a sale. And if the issue was anything major oh well.

I contacted them on a used Buick Enclave and I was in contact with Donny and he was extremely rude and he really pushed me away from even coming in and looking at the car I will definitely not recommend this dealership to anyone because when buying a car you shouldn't have to deal with someone like that!

First off let me say that I shop when making a purchase. A lot. I have been a Honda owner since 1993. I recently was in the market for a new car and looked at Mercedes, Cadllac, Hyundai and Mazdza for a sedan with the latest and greatest in technology, without exceeding my desired price point. Once again I came back to the Honda Accord EXL-V6 with Navi and sensing, because of the reliability of Honda and the ease of use of the technology. I was fortunate to be in a position that I did not HAVE to have a new car, but wanted one. I shopped the majority of the local Honda dealers and found Bill Kay to have the most competitive pricing around, even more so than the dealer where I bought my two previous Accord EXV-L's. My sales person, Donny McGee went above and beyond to meet my needs. He had the vehicle delivered to the dealership within a few days of placing my order. He worked around my schedule coming in on his days off to meet with me. He made sure I was able to get the best price available (over $750 less than other dealers) and made sure the car was spotless when delivered. All while being personable and professional. No matter who I spoke to during the purchasing process at Bill Kay, they knew who I was and were very pleasant to deal with. Although it's a bit of a drive to get to Bill Kay, I feel you would be remiss not to visit Bill Kay for your next vehicle purchase. I look forward to outstanding service for my Accord in the future. I drive 3 hrs to test drive an SUV. I had emailed the night before as their site requests to test drive the car. Just before arriving, I received an email giving me add'l nfo on the vehicle. Unfortunately, after driving 3 hrs, I was told someone else had put a deposit on the vehicle the night before and they were delivering the car that day. Niobe called or emailed me to tell me this. And today... The day after the car sold, I got another email regarding the same car that was already sold. Very disappointing experience.

The service department provides superior customer service. I drive 85 miles to get my CRV serviced and will definitely purchase another Honda there. Allan, Kathy and Nick are always nice and get me in and out quickly. The sales experience was the best I've ever had and I've been buying Honda's for over 20 years now. I live 4 1/2 hours away from this dealership. I had been searching for 2 months at my local and surrounding dealerships for a Kia Sorento in my price range with the options and miles I wanted. I finally found it at Bill Kay Honda of all places. Things started out good with applying for financing and communicating via email with Scott the salesman. I was told financing needed some information faxed to him, which I did. Then nothing....could not get an email reply back from Scott or a returned phone call. My husband called and found out he was out for a few days as well as the financing person and left several messages with "the other finance person filling in". Still no phone call back. After a day and a half, he finally reached someone only to be told my financing was approved the day before but the car had been sold that night. I was so excited to finally be getting this SUV after my car was totaled in an accident and we have been sharing 1 car for over a year and had finally received my settlement. Very difficult for a family of four. I am so mad I can't see straight. I would think when your in the middle of purchasing a car with financing almost approved that the salesman and finance person would let the buyer know of other personnel to contact. So, if you're buying a car, stay on top it or it may get sold out from under you. Now I start over. I do not recommend this dealership!

It was a pleasure doing business with these gentlemen. Donny was able to put my wife and I in the car we wanted (2015 Civic EX) even as a first time (new)car buyer with limited and basically no credit. It took a little bit of time as they had to exhaust every possible option as far as financing, but in the end, he was able to make us a good deal and get us the car we came for. Donny is a family man so it's easy to put your trust in him. Great personality and very easy to talk to. He is a very understanding individual, and you can tell he really wants to help you, not just sell you a car. Both Donny and Peter, who had an hour drive home, took their time with us to make sure we were satisfied, even after closing hours. The car is incredible, and I would definitely do business again with these people.

Took the 2 hour drive to BILL KAY HONDA. Upon our arrival, around 12:30 pm, we asked to test drive a 2012 Acura, which is the specific car we took the 2 hour drive to see. When the salesman tried to start the car, IT DID NOT START!, he tried to jump start the car to no avail. After another 30 minutes of time wasted, he said they would put a new battery in the car and told us to come back in about an hour as they did not have the correct battery in stock and needed to have one delivered. My husband and I did what he requested and returned. The car was running and we took it for a test drive, less than one mile into our test drive a 2 feet piece of window trim came detached from its fitting. My husband had to roll down the window and literally hold onto it. The salesman told us we should go back so we didn't lose the piece. We did. When we returned, I assumed that they would fix the piece so we could take a proper test drive but after 30 minutes had passed, no one had come out to assess the problem and the salesman had disappeared. He finally appeared and asked if we wanted to come inside. What for? I thought, I drove 2 hours to get here, and had now been at bill Kay Honda for a total of Three hours and I've only driven the car for 5 minutes??!!! I told him I wanted to DRIVE THE CAR, WITHOUT IT FALLING APART. we took it for another test drive. Upon returning to the dealership, we went inside it was now 4:00pm, I told him my experience had been less than satisfactory and that we would need to discuss the price after all the things that had went wrong. Negotiations were definitely in order. He gave me the usual BS of this car was priced to reflect the issues, I mentioned, however, I am sure the trim piece flying off WAS NOT!!... He went off to the mgr and came back to tell me what they were asking was the best they could do. At this point, I was DONE! THEY EXPECTED ME TO PAY THEIR ASKING PRICE AFTER THE CAR DID NOT START, A TRIM PIECE BROKE OFF AND I HAD WASTED 4 HOURS OF MY TIME WAITING FOR THEM TO GET THEIR CRAP TOGETHER!!! ABSOLUTELY ABSURD!!! I GOT UP WALKED OUT, AND TOOK THE CASHIERS CHECK I HAD WITH ME TO PURCHASE THE CAR OUTRIGHT!!! WHAT A MISSED OPPORTUNITY FOR YOU BILL KAY HONDA!!!! BUYER BEWARE!

We were traveling to see my daughter at U of I when our car completely shut down on 57 just before an exit. We rolled off the exit only to find this Honda Dealer right at the end of it. First too good to be true!! But rolled into the service department where Alan immediately helped us with our issue. He squeezed our car in for service, called the Enterprise rent a car to help us keep our plans for the day and told us to go have fun and forget about the car. He would likely be able to have the car ready on our return back from U of I. Alan did exactly that. Alan is a great example of what customer service should be. It is easy to feel helpless when your car breaks down - especially in an area one is unfamiliar with. We were so appreciative of his help that day!

I found out about the car I wanted, a 2008 Honda Accord EX-L, on Autotrader. It was late in the evening, but the salesman there, Bert Tvrz, still took time to engage with me on chat. I talked with Bert more the next day, and he got me in touch with their finance manager. I told him that I only had been on my job for a short time, and had other credit issues. He said no problem, that he would do his best to get me a competitive rate and a good loan. HE DID. I am now driving a great one-owner, low-mileage Honda Accord with a two-year service contract that Bert sold new to the first owner, all at a price that fits my budget. I have bought a lot of cars over the years, but this was my BEST car buying experience ever! I came to Illinois from Kansas to pick up my car and drive it home. I brought my Accord to Bill Kay Honda, Bourbonnail IL to Alan Heinburger, and Nick Youngblood when the over 100,000 miles maintenance became necessary. I planned my vacation around being able to have this maintenance done at their shop, Why? I will tell you Why. They are honest trustworthy and dependable their customer service is worth the 18 hour drive!I tried 2 of the 3 dealers close to me here in Texas and made the decision to use the shop in Bourbonnais Illinois for my major maintenance needs. It was well worth the drive and inconvenience to have Allan and Nick do the work.I thought all Honda dealers service departments were like the one at Bill Kay until I tried several others. There is no comparison Allan and Nick make all the difference.

When my 1999 Honda Civic with 343K miles on it decided it was done living it's life, the only make of car I wanted to replace it was another Honda. Doing a search of inventory on Bill Kay's website was simple and very detailed on the vehicles both new and used. My fiancee and I narrowed our search to 3 possible vehicles. After doing the finance application online, I was contacted by Donny McGee less than an hour later! I purchased a 2011 Honda Civic with 32k miles, which was still under manufactures warranty, Also in addition, this was a "certified honda " at time of purchase. Now, on the very same day of purchase , I noticed a clicking noise under the steering column, only to hear it go away after a few minutes, If it weren't for the severe weather conditions, I would of turned back around to inform the dealer, but living 85 miles away my concern was to get home safely. 5 days later the noise had been more continuous, therefore me taking it into Honda of Champaign, Only to be advised by the service department that there had been a auto/start and or alarm device installed at one time, but never properly disconnected from the wiring harness, thus causing the clicking noise. Unfortunately this was not covered and there would be a charge to properly disconnect the wires, I immediately contacted Bill Kay to inform them of situation and that I had already been charged 49.99 for 1/2 hr labor/diagnostic. I asked in good faith for reimbursement and a solution to the problem, only to hear that I would need to have them remove it and there would be no reimbursement. After working my way up management, I eventually spoke with Jeff Lindner( General Manager). Not only was he unapologetic about this but his demeanor was appalling to say the least. he told me that " he was doing me a favor " by fixing it and "that he had every right not to touch my car now or in future"(9 days after purchase keep in mind). I had no choice except to take it back to correct issue. NOW IT GETS WORSE.. I made my appointment for a Friday, only to receive a call Thursday before by the service department to inform me the would still correct the issue, BUT there will be a CHARGE. I asked why would there now be a charge, "per Jeff Lindner, due to the bad feedback they received from you on cars.com, he is revoking his right to fix it for free". AND that If I still wish to have it fixed it would be a "CASH ONLY" transaction. REALLY?????. After speaking with Honda Corp, I was able to take car back to Honda of Chamapign and correct issue at no charge. I should've known better.. when they sold me the car, the gas light was on reading "EMPTY" ..

Not knowing the issues with the vehicle, I decided to purchase it, and needed to wait 2 hours at the dealership because they were short-staffed with employees to take my payment and complete the paperwork.The dealer was no help in resolving the issues.I do not recommend shopping at Bill Kay.

I bought a 2009 CPO Honda CR V from Bill Kay Honda in October 2013. I told the salesman (Joe Buoie, read other reviews and you will see there is a pattern of complaints about him and Bill Kay) that the car was sluggish starting on our test drive which probably meant it needed a new battery. He said it wouldn't be a problem because the car was Certified Pre-Owned and covered under warranty. Only 2 weeks after buying the car the battery dyed. I called Bill Kay Honda and I was told the battery is NOT covered. Same problem with the promise of free oil changes as well. They refused to honor that promise too. The people I dealt with while trying to get my car fixed were contentious and others were apathetic. (funny thing though, they all were FRIENDLY trying to convince me to listen to my wife and buy their car.) Don't buy a car here. Any problems with the car and you will understand why I saying this.

Purchased a 2011 Honda Civic with 32k and took vehicle in 5 days after purchase due to clicking noise under steering column, only to find out it was not a covered item due to fact after market alarm/autostart had been removed but never properly disconnected properly from brake wires causing the ticking. I ended up paying 49.99 since was not a "HONDA" issue.(1/2 hour labor). I asked for reimbursement from Bill Kay Honda in good faith since it was something their mechanics missed before "certifying" the vehicle. They declined to pay even though I took it to another Honda dealership since I live 85 miles away. After speaking to sales representative, service advisor, internet manager and finally General manager (Jeff), I was astounded by the rudeness and unapologetic attitude. He stated that he was doing me a "favor" by correcting the problem and that he had the every right not to service my vehicle now or in future. After my purchase I was given a car with a empty tank of gas(light indicator was on) which should've raised concern. lesson learned! I will NEVER PURCHSE OR RECOMMNED THIS DEALERSHIP.

Everything was as website described-pictures and info was helpful. I took test drive with Saul and he pointed out all the features of car inside and out. Price was very reasonable. The test drive , trade in valuation, paper work, and prepping car(wash and clean) took about 2hours and I was on my way home-130 miles one way. It was worth the drive. So I went to Bill Kay to see if I could trade in my recently purchased 2010 Honda Accord (Black)..I have a slight problem where its a need for me to keep my car spotless. I have never had a black car and that was a mistake!...I was going insane trying to keep it clean...Well, after much thought I went to Bill Kay Honda and asked what I could do. I went from a 2010 to a brand new 2013 Honda Accord ... After talking with a great salesman (Saul) he explained everything right up front and was honest with me...(I know how that sounds, not like a salesman) but after him crunching some numbers and us coming to an agreement on price, it was just what I wanted!!... Easy and simple.... I will have to say it took a little longer than I wanted... 3 hours too long, but I think its because they were really busy!!!...Overall A in my book ... also I recommend Saul as your go to guy if you go to Honda!! That's Bert Tvrz just younger!!!...

I contacted this dealership because I was interested in a used Honda CR-V for my 17 year old daughter. I called dealership and made contact with Bert Tvrz. We talked back and forth for three days and upon agreement of a price, I put a $1000 deposit on a 2008 Royal Blue Pearl Honda with 74K miles on it. The agreed upon price was $15620 which is a $300 discount given since I was driving from over 125 miles away. Once I arrived at the dealership I was treated professionally by Bert and offered to test drive the car. This is when the situation goes sour. Upon test driving the car, it was apparent that the air conditioning was not working properly. Although the car had underwent a 150 point certified Honda inspection, the air did not work during the test drive. We brought the car back in and Bert sought out the help of a service manager with over 15 years Honda experience. They returned and told me that once I purchased the car, the air conditioning issue would be under warranty and I can take to any Honda dealership for repairs. They showed me documentation of the "Honda Bullentin and Certified Limited Warranty" which would cover the issue. They also stated that they could not fix the issue prior to my purchase because it would be money out of the dealership's pocket versus coverage on warranty. The service attendant never looked beyond a computer to see exactly what was wrong but said the issue is probably associated to the air conditioning issues known in that 2008 model. Bottomline, I felt bam-boozled by both Bert and the service attendant. The goal was to get me to purchase the car, put in my name and then repair. It is hard for me to belive neither one of them knew about the issue up front because were exceptionally quick to explain it away once purchased and put in my name. I am totally pissed that I drove 263 miles round trip with gas at a premium for this dealership to try to sucker-punch me!

Hello I went there to purchase a used VW GTI. Salesman Name JOE was the guy who was dealing with my about the car. Very week with information flow about the car(no knowledge about GTI at all). Came here after seeing an ad for a used Honda Accord online that met our criteria. This is a great place to buy a car, new or used from my experience here. If you are used to buying cars regularly and knowing what you want as far as price and the car, then dealing with pushy salesman, and sales tactics can get annoying pretty fast. You wont deal with that here. They are pretty straight forward with you and are very pleasant and honest to deal with. I felt like i wasn't buying car when talking to both salesman that helped us here. Being genuine and honest go a long way in sales, not to mention the price i felt was fair enought. Great Dealership and Donny was a great guy. Will Come Back again.

Went to Bill Kay for an oil change like I always do because of their great customer service. Nick suggested a couple of other things that I might want to get done, another great aspect of thier service department. Even when they suggest things there is no pressure to do the work and they'll let you know if it's something that is absolutely neccessary. They are always looking out for you not their bottom line. I went ahead and got the wiper blades he suggested and during the course of the repair my windshield was broken. Bad things are going to happen and it's how you approach the situation that makes the difference. Nick already had a new windshield and a vehicle to drive while it was being replaced lined up before he even approached me. He was determined to make it right and went above and beyond to make sure this mishap would be as painless as possible. All in all I walked out of there with a new windshield and a fully detailed vehicle at the cost of experiencing driving around a Honda Pilot for a couple days.The customer service and how they handle situation under pressure will keep me coming back as a loyal customer.

I have always been extremely happy with the service department, they are always very professional and it never takes long to get things completed. I have not had good luck buying a vechile from them however. We have tried on several occasions to buy a used vehicle from them but you either never get waited on on you go to look at a vehicle you have seen the evening before and when you go back the next morning they have sold it to another or their dealerships. It seems to me that it would be more important to sell the vehicle to a customer then to another dealership. Very disappointing that we have to go wat out of town to look at other dealerships to find the pilot we are looking for with better pricing.

My husband and I bought our 2013 Honda Odyssey from Bill Kay. Bill Kay is approximately 2.5 hours away from us, so we had to get the details figured out beforehand (financing, timing, etc) - but it was well worth. We worked with some local dealers, but we constantly the run around on price, what models where available, options on models. We worked with sales guys who couldn't tell us anything about the vehicle besides what was printed on the sticker. Colin at Bill Kay was great. He was extremely patient with our schedule, great at returning phone calls and emails. Because of Colin's diligence, we were able to get all our financing worked out ahead of time, we knew exactly what we were walking into - there was NOT one surprise or 'gotcha.' Its small, but it amazed us that once we got there, we asked him about programming something in the car and without even being the car, he could walk us through the steps. He really knows what he's selling. If we buy another Honda, it will be from Bill Kay, regardless of the drive.

This is the third new vehicle we have purchased from Bill Kay with help fom Bert Tvrz. No issues with Bert. Honda makes reliable products. Two pieces of feedback: The buying process took too long - 3 hours is excessive. It is stressful buying a car. Once a buyer makes the decision to buy, the actual process of purchasing the vehicle should be faster. It would have been a nice gesture to offer the an oil change or something to compensate for the extended wait. Secondly, the vehicle was a little dirty on the back and at the drivers side door entry.

Needed a good reliable car, with a low monthly payments and low start-up costs as this is an extra car to take on long work trips. The 2013 Honda Accord is very impressive. Standard equipment blows away the competition. Bill Kay Honda should be the model for other Honda dealers to follow. I delt with several other Honda dealers in Orland Park and Matteson, but Bill Kay is by far the best of the best ! They know how to treat a customer, that is why we pass up two other Honda dealers to get to Bill Kay Honda.

Went in Saturday to compare the prices and features of new Hondas vs Toyota and Nissan. Honda is definitely leading the way with a larger video screen, cooler electronics and quality body and interior styling. He was good about communicating via email, and I never felt pressured to buy. He was very honest and gave us a great price on an Accord. The finance manager gave us a low rate too. We drove over 3.5 hours to get to this dealership, and I'm glad we did. There were a lot of pics of my car online, so I was able to get a good look at it before making the trip. I have already recommended Bill Kay Honda to a couple of other people who are looking for a new car.

Well let me start by saying that this review is sooooo deserved, after dealing with multiple subpar Honda dealership within a 100 mile radius over a 6 month period I was ecstatic when I discovered Ed at Bill Kay! I seriously did my homework, I knew what I wanted and what I wanted to spend on it and I wasn't budging. Okay, to be honest, I might have budged a little bit for a dealership if the customer service blew me away. (I'm a sucker for good service) Lucky for me I found the best price AND the best customer service all in one place. I live 100 miles away from Bourbonnais in Champaign, IL so I dealt entirely over the phone until the day I got my car. Upon calling, I explained that I had been shopping around at local dealerships and had been entirely unimpressed by the lack of enthusiasm and willingness to even TRY to sell me a car; so I was looking for someone who was willing to talk it out with me, convince me, and give me the best price.....maybe I'm high maintenance? (it was my first time buying a brand new car and I wanted an experience darnit) I really did get just that! Straight off they quoted me $400 dollars less than any other dealership!!!! I immediately took that price and started calling other dealerships to see if they could/would match it. I'm not even kidding, a particular dealership laughed at me and told me when I get there and find out that [Bill Kay] has lied (because they couldn't possibly be making any money off the car at that price), that they [the other dealership] would have my car waiting for me. Well Ed at Bill Kay didn't lie, I paid exactly what he quoted me over the phone with no hidden cost coming from anywhere. They were fast, efficient, and so helpful. They weren't pushy or condescending like the other dealerships.And I'm just going to point out, even though it shouldn't matter, I am an eccentric hairstylist, I have piercings, tattoos, and atomically red hair and salespeople at other dealerships would not/did not take me seriously when I approached them. I felt completely comfortable and respected at Bill Kay! So yay for them!!!! I'm super happy with my experience and it's only been a week, but I am LOVING MY NEW 2013 HONDA FIT SPORT and have already begun to refer all my friends and family there!

Everyone we met went over the top from the first gentlemen we met Brent Kurtyak to the lead salesman Bert Tvrz to the Finance Manager Peter Pishos. After exhaustively searching for the perfect used vehicle for months, I can say before we've even made our first car payment that we are NOT happy with our decision to buy a used truck from this dealership. First of all, during the test drive we could not fully concentrate on every aspect of the vehicle because sales distracted us by talking about irrelevant things the ENTIRE time. We were able to take the car on about a 15 minute test drive and then get back to the dealer to start trying to negotiate on price because the sticker price was high. They then make sticker shock worse by bringing out their "best offer" with their "suggested retail price" which was $5,000 over what Kelly Blue Book states the vehicle is even worth! Donny tells us Kelly Blue Book is inaccurate...funny if that's true then why do banks base the amount they will loan you for a used vehicle on what Kelly Blue book states the vehicle is worth?! So we ended up negotiating down from their ridiculous asking price and STILL paid $1,000 more than KBB states the vehicle is worth!! This is how they try to trick you into making you feel you are getting a better deal than you really are. We were then rushed through the financing process since it was closing time on a Saturday.. and there was an error at first on the total price of what we had agreed to pay (first set of paperwork they had forgot to lower the price of the vehicle) so apparently there was no time to even explain one thing about the extended warranty. To make matters worse, two days after we get the vehicle home we notice the oddometer stops working! The numbers are freezing up and not calculating mileage correctly and the instrument cluster is acting up and not working correctly at times. We call Donny McGee hoping he can help since we JUST purchased the vehicle from him and of course we get the 'there's nothing he can do' line. It's OUR fault for not buying the warranty. Wow...a company that sells you a vehicle with a surprise $1,000 broken part two days after getting it home and then tells you there's nothing they can do to help you? Yet they want to brag how all their used vehicles are certified and put thoroughly through testing before they sell them? Then why wasn't a part that was clearly malfunctioning BEFORE we bought the car fixed before they put it on their lot? This is not something that breaks overnight according to the research we have been doing online and is a very common problem with these Ridgelines, yet he's denying it was a problem while they had it! We aren't even sure at this point if the miles on the vehicle are what the dealer told us they are since the oddometer works intermittently! And now we have to come up with $1,000 atleast (out of our pocket) before we even make our first car payment to fix their serious problem they should have fixed before the vehicle was put on the lot for sale! We are VERY upset. We will not be back and we will not recommend this dealership to anyone. They left a very bad taste in our mouths to say the least. My suggestions to future car buyers..try to take the car home for a weekend test drive so you can have the vehicle tested by your own mechanic and you are free of distractions, so you don't end up with surprise $1,000 problems that should have been fixed by a dealer that claims they sell quality used vehicles. A dealer and salesman that are more concerned about making sure you read their 'reviews' online than they are with making sure their customers get a QUALITY used vehicle? Never again!

Weren't pleased with the sales manager's rude personality at all. However, we loved Donny McGee. He expressed our concerns to the correct department and we appreciated that he spoke up on behalf of his clients! The process was slower than we like, but Donny was very attentive and more than willing to answer all of our questions. We drove over an hour because the dealer ship had what we were looking for in-stock and we didn't want to mess with a dealer locate. We would buy a vehicle again from Donny.

We always seem to miss him so Bert was our next go to guy. He too was always nice, honest, and again not pushy. He always complimented and supported his partner never throwing him under the bus. He said they work closely together, as a good mentor would say. We shopped around a little and wanted to keep the business local which we were happy that we were able to do that. I was able to get a good sense of its condition and extras it had by looking at these. I got enough information that I decided to travel from Chicago to Bourbonnais to check it out, and it was in great condition, so I bought it.-- I live in Hyde Park/Chicago, so took the Metra train down, and they picked me up at the University Park station. My husband and I are very pleased with the service we receieved at Bill Kay. We first contacted the dealership because the exact car we wanted was being sold as a demo model. Bert Tvrz is the salesperson whom we had the pleasure of dealing with. It was a toss up between Bill Kay and a different Honda location closer to home, and Bert is the reason we chose to go to Bill Kay. The other Honda dealer also had the vehicle we wanted, albeit our second choice color and not a demo. Even so, the price was tempting for the same car with 0 miles vs. 5k. We could live with the color either way, as long as the price was right. The salesperson I spoke with at the other dealership was friendly at first, but then condescending and short in his answers to my questions. I realize my questions and concerns may have been redundant, but bottom line, I'm the customer and should be treated with respect. Bert was friendly, patient, and helpful, both in our initial contact via phone and email, and once we met at the dealership. We dealt with Bert and also Brent Kurtyak, and both were an absolute pleasure to deal with. We highly recommend Bill Kay Honda.

I am a customer who has purchased dozens of vehicles and I greatly appreciated their honesty and straightforwardness. Since I usually walk out when I run into a dealer who tries to low ball you or hides the "extras" until you get there, I was pleasantly surprised when I didn't run into those types of high-pressure tactics that so many dealers used. As a result, I bought this vehicle over the phone and when I got there, the price quoted was the actual price. As far as getting the deal done, they went out of their way to take into account my needs. As an example, I was trading 2 vehicles for one and when I brought the first vehicle into the dealership, they provided a ride back to my house to pick up the second vehicle (a distance of about 35 miles). All of the customer service type of services provided by the sales consultant were first rate, freindly and informative. I would certainly recommend Bill Kay to anyone wanting to purchase a Honda as well as Alyssa and Brent as the people to get the deal done.

just bought a 2012 honda civic from bill kay honda, and I must say that Burt Tvrz (and I did not mess up the spelling or i dont think at least) who was our sales person was more then excellent in helping us get the car we wanted for the price we wanted. We set up the price over email, and there was no haggling, just went there, filled out the paperwork, picked out the car we wanted, and we were on our way. I can't say enough about the great price we got which was way better then any other dealer within a 500 mile radius, and we saved probably around $1000 compared to everyone else.... I would rate Bill Kay Honda in Bourbonnais Superior in all respects. Bert Tvrz is a knowledgeable, efficient, low key sales person who answers your questions, presents price options and lets you make your own decision. There is no typical "Let's Make a Deal" atmosphere with some "Greaseball Sales Manager" usually named Tony presuring you to sign on the bottom line today before the prices go up 10%!!! I could tell from my price due dilligence that the price I was offered was very fair and I didn't have to fight with them to get it down to something reasonable. The aales process is orderly and well organized. I've purchased three cars from Bill Kay in Bourbonnias and had nothing but positive experiences. The Service Staff, especially service writers Alan and Nick are outstanding and work to meet your every need. Overall a very positive place to do business.

He seemed like a welcoming, friendly guy when I met him. Bert Tvrz is a great salesman. He is very helpful. When I was about to depart with my new vehicle, he took the time to explain all the controls, etc. He didn't try to rush me or anything. He's very knowledgeable and friendly. Peter Pishos was very good in handling the financing part of my transaction. Like Bert, he's also very knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. Bert, followed us through out the whole process. The reason we went with this dealer was because Bert kept following up with us. What he told us came true with pricing and so on. Our CR-V was ordered and he not ony found it but kept us up with information on the status of the vehicle. My wife commented Bill Kay Honda "felt more like a family thing" than a buisness thing. We will try to use the service department in the future becaus we don't think we'll be "pressured" to to something that's not needed.

We have owned 3 Hondas in the last 20 years, and so we were looking to compare Honda to Toyota for our next purchase. Although we were very interested in a Toyota with 50 plus mpg, we were very turned off by sales staff at three dealerships in Joliet, Bourbonnais and Naperville. Very few deals and some even were very pushy and critical about Honda, which is poor business in my eyes. Both brands are fine brands! We love our Honda dealership in Bloomington, but it is no longer close enough to get service done easily, so we decided to look closer. Joliet Honda was a very good choice with nice salesman and service was good as well, but after visiting Bill Kay in Bourbonnais, we were impressed with the bright shiny dealership, staff and especially the respect given to us for our weeks of research and knowledge of what we wanted in a car. Alyssa Harrier, was a young, energetic, open-minded saleswoman who listened intently and gave some interesting suggestion. We decided to buy an Accord rather than our standard Civic since the deals were great right now and they came down even more for a frequent buyer and well-informed client. Give this dealership a try! I know the service department will also meet my expectations since one of the technicians is a former student!!!! Kudos to Bill Kay!

I focused our auto purchase via the Internet. My first contact was Colin Shepley that responded to an email that I sent him regarding an auto that showed up in their inventory at their web site. Unfortunately the first auto I inquired about had sold the night before. While I narrowed my choice of dealers predicated on the most choices of cars I was interested in I found that Bill Kaye Honda had the largest selection of cars that fit our budget. I also found them to be the most responsive in comparison to other dealers I made contact with. Oak lawn Honda's follow though was good as well. Colin Shepley followed through via email and telephone so well that it motivated me to make the drive 50 miles of where I live to check out their auto selection.I found the people I dealt with there to be responsive to our inquires about various cars. Colin assisted us in test-driving 3-4 different autos and was knowledgeable with answers of questions we asked about the various cars we test-drove.While we initially were shopping for a pre-owned auto we ended up with a new 2012 Accord because of what we considered a price that met our budget criteria and a price lower than other dealers we made contact with.The people we met at Bill Kaye Honda made an excellent effort to satisfy our auto purchase. We are completely satisfied.

I purchased a new CR-V, and found the experience to be mostly positive (there's one remaining issue that should be resolved by week's end). I had purchased my last (used) vehicle from Bill Kay, and that was also positive enough to try them again. I asked area dealerships for a quote for the car I wanted, and Brent and Pete and the service manager all contacted me back via email, which impressed me. The other dealerships did not seem as interested. Brent gave me the best internet price, and I was happy to find the exact car that I saw on the internet when I got there a few days later. Max was my sales guy, and in more than 40 years of customer service, I have seldom run across someone so easy to talk to, and yet determined to be sure I am satisfied with all aspects of my purchase. Max has gone over and above to deliver for me, and I am very appreciative. Buying a car is usually a stressful and tedious experience, in my view, and all three of these gentlemen made the process as smooth as can be. I always dread the part with the finance guy, but Pete was friendly, efficient, and also extremely customer-focused - all qualities I look for when dealing with any business. I definitely would not hesitate to recommend this dealership to anyone.

Went in to look at a used car with an asking price of about $14,000. Salesman (Joe) was rude and rushed us. Asked us to exceed the speed limit on the test drive. Warranty price quoted from same warranty company was over $500 higher than at 2 other competing dealerships. When I asked for a discount off sticker price the salesman told me "You can leave now" and pointed at the door. Will NEVER buy a car here.

I bought a new Honda Civic from Bill Kay Honda via the internet. Brent Kurtyak was quick to respond to my every question and set the price for the car. The price was by far the lowest(about $700)I had seen within 300 miles. All of the transaction took place on the internet except for two phone calls. When I arrived to pick up the car it was ready and waiting inside the dealership. Bert was also waiting (It was his day off but he came in). He patiently went over the Civic with me explaining everything I questioned him about. We then did the paperwork, which was quick and courteous. Brent joined us and we talked about Hondas and how easy it was dealing with Bill Kay. They kept offering us coffee and beverages. The overall experience was better than great. I got an excellent price, the exact vehilce I wanted, Brent and Bert were fun to deal with, and I was in and out in less than two hours. I would highly recommend Bill Kay Honda and Bert and Brent to anyone looking for a great car and great deal!!!!!

My experience and Bill Kay Honda was amazing! I was a first time buyer age 24 good credit history! No other dealership and I had been to at least 8 would even consider listening to my requests of what I wanted price, style of car etc. Not only did Scott my salesman come out in the windy bluster snowy cold to greet me, he really listened to me. He was able to bring me to a price per month that I felt comfortable with. Very friendly and honest salesman, Scott really just wanted me to leave Bill Kay that day happy and satisfied. After Scott finalized pricing per month the Business Director Peter was able to bring me down about 8% on my interest rate! He also was very informative and helpful, he wanted to really make sure I could save as much money as I could! For the first time buying a car at 24 years old this kind of customer service in a dealership really left me leaving happpy and completely 100% satisfied! I would recommend this dealership to anyonePurchase was a 2005 chevy cobalt 2dr fully loaded!

I traveled 80 miles to this dealership because they were the most responsive one after I contacted several by email about my sudden need to buy a replacement car. I am definitely not a fan of the whole car-buying process, but, I must say that this particular dealership made this a very positive experience. Donny McGee was friendly, easy to work with, and very very patient. Brent Kurtyak (Internet Sales) was awesome too. I will be encouraging people in my neck of the woods (further south down the I-57) to check this dealership out if they are ever in the market for a car.

Donny McGee is a great salesperson!!! He is honest, courteous, and very helpful and not afraid to ask someone else if he does not know the answer to your question. My husband and I have bought a lot of cars in the past and Donny is the most honest salesman that we have ever dealt with. The finance manager on the other hand was too pushy to sell us the extra warrentee that we did not want and did not want to honor the price quote that we had received on an outside source in which the Manager had agreed upon over the phone. We purchased the vehicle for the price on the quote but did not receive it for the same monthly payment even though we were prepared to pay the down payment and other fees that were not included in this particular quote. His signature was illegible and I can not remember his name. We almost walked out because of his pushiness. If it were not for the finance manager our experience at Bill Kay Honda would have been great although we were there on a Saturday afternoon in January and they were extremely busy selling vehicles. Would recommend calling the dealership to confirm details of the online vehicle description. Options listed included heated leather seats (front & rear), moonroof, delayed front headlights, mirror turn signal indicators, etc. When we arrived to inspect the vehicle, none of these options were present. Pointed this out to the salesman, but no explanation given as to the discrepancy. Unsure if the description was downloaded from a website without confirmation by actually looking at the vehicle or a dealership tactic. Do your homework on NADA.com for trade-in value and stick to your price. In our experience, we did our homework and didn't budge from this number; eventually our trade-in price was met. Ultimately bought another vehicle here with some but not all of the features. High-volume dealership and waited over 45 minutes to speak with the finance director and finalize paperwork. Would recommend additional finance personnel. NOTE: Multiple auto dealership in immediate area. Don't hesitate to make it known that you're looking elsewhere. It's a strong motivator!

We found this dealer using a price quote through AMEX. We spoke with Coin re the type of car we wanted (CRV EXL). Colin found the car, had it delivered to this dealership and it was just what we agreed with a minor option we had not requested. While we were prepared to finance with a bank, we received a better rate with this dealer. There was no haggling nor hassle. I would caution using Donnie McGee when buying from Bill Kay Honda and perhaps even caution using that dealership if this is the way they operate. was shopping for a specific model of used vehicles the other day and found two on the Bill Kay lot that I wanted to inquire about. I knew my price range and asked the salesman what the prices were for those two vehicles. Mr. McGee replied that he could only give me that information if I first gave him my phone number and email. I said I wanted no follow up contacts. He assured me that he would and even said he typed "no contact" in my listing. The prices were $10k too much. I knew I wasn't interested as I couldn't afford that. I left. In the last four days I have received four emails and one phone call from Mr. McGee. If this is what "no contact" means to him, I wonder what other assurances might mean. "This car is a one owner vehicle" "This car has had no accidents" "We have given it a thorough check and find it in good working order". It is hard enough buying a car and feeling like you received a fair deal. Having a salesman that won't keep his word makes it tougher.

I had a problem with an oil leak on my 2011 Pilot - turned out to be a loose oil-pan bolt. Unfortunately, most of the oil leaked on my garage floor. It only took one phone call for the Bill Kay staff to jump into action. Nick never hesitated... he and AJ came to my home with a courtesy car and completely cleaned the spill - at 7PM. They took my Pilot for service and had it completed the next day. My Pilot - and my garage never looked better. I was already proud of my Honda, and was very happy with Bill Kay Honda, but these guys confirmed that confidence and I will recommend this dealer to everyone.

Have had the opportunity to work with several Honda Dealers in Illinois over the past eighteen years and Bill Kay Honda of Bourbonnais provided the best service and overallexperience of any others visited. Almost did not go to this dealer due to negative comments (at that time there was not any positive comments). I decided to give them a try though because they were the only dealer that had the vehicle (white Honda Si) I was looking for. I am so happy I gave them the chance! Right from the start Colin was friendly, helpful & did not use any pressure tactics. He was also forthcoming on the price of the vehicle & what I would get for my trade without trying to employ the typical dealer numbers game.When it came time to visit Tony in finance, he was also very friendly & knowledgable. I have bought six cars here and it gets better every time. Bert takes the time to explain everything and is always available to answer any questions after the sale too. Alan,from the service department,has always gone above the norm for any service that was needed. Both men have always been very nice and generous with helpfull advice. I wouldn't buy a Honda from anywhere else.

i was shopping on intenet to save time and after a lot of looking I found (2) vehicles I was interested in driving. I called dealership to ask about pricing and was immediately sent over to internet salesperson, Brent. He answered every question I had and then I asked him if I would be able to try the vehicles out within the next hour. when I arrived 45 minutes later, the two vehicles were waiting for me to look at and drive, which I did. I know what I want when I see it and do not like to bully around about pricing, so I gave Brent my bottom line, which matched the internet price and my trade-in. Within one hour total I was driving my newly purchased vehicle and will definitely go back for anothr purchase with Brent. This is my 46th car purchase and I have dealt with just about every dealer in from chicago to Bloomington and I have only gone back to two other dealerships twice to purchase again, I am adding bill kay and Brent to my top three list.

Our whole experience with Bill Kay Honda was the best we have ever encountered when purchasing a new vehicle. We never felt stressed or pressured to make any "on the spot" decisions and any questions we had were answered. Every thing from test driving the vehicle, coming to a mutual agreement on price of new car and trade in, to the financing went very smoothly. We will definitly refer Bill Kay Honda to friends and family.

I purchased a new Odyssey EX-L RES after seeing their low prices online. I had to place a deposit on the vehicle and wait a few weeks for it to arrive. I live in Tennessee so I also needed to make travel arrangements once the vehicle arrived. Brent was great to work with and he did a good job of communicating with me on the possible delivery date. Once the vehicle arrived we drove up to Chicago and the dealership had someone pick us up from the airport. We arrived at the dealership and the car was exactly what we expected, the staff was friendly and the deal was completed and we were on our way in an hour. I read some other reviews that were contrary to mine; so maybe deal with Brent if you want to be safe.

We drove from over 50 miles away to purchase a new CRV from Bill Kay Honda and could not have been more pleased with the entire process. The entire sales experience proceeded in a friendly and effecient way. We were always given the information we requested, including pricing, in contrast to other dealers who simply replied "What do YOU want to pay?".When we have had the occasion to bring one of our vehicles in for service we were also extremely pleased with the entire service staff. One thing that specifically impressed us is that we were always given a full explanation of what needed to be done. This process started with a test drive with a technician to assess the problem. Then the work was done quickly and at several points we were given updates and shown parts that needed to be replaced with an explanation of why this was necessary. We would highly recommend Bill Kay Honda. We intend to return to this dealership in the future for service and the purchase of a new vehicle.

He knew the product and was able to answer all our queations.We returned 2 weeks later to inquire about some accessories and Colin made a point to approach us and ask how our new cars were. We were impressed with the dealership, but we were most impressed with Colin and his pleasant personality. He was not pushy and that was refreshing. I recently purchased a 2012 Honda Civic from Bill Kay Honda; this was my 4th new Honda purchase from them in the last 4 years. I couldn't ask for nicer and more honest people to deal with. They have always treated me with respect, given me very fair pricing and have gone out of their way to make the purchase process seamless. I have also had my vehicles serviced at Bill Kay Honda and everyone from the service writers to the service diretor have been cordial and very professional. I have even taken my older GMC Yukon there for service and was very pleased with the outcome of each and every visit.Without hesitation I would recommend this dealership. In fact, I sent my sister-in-law to Bill Kay Honda, where she purchased a new Honda CR-V. I also sent my dear friends there and they have now purchased a new Honda Pilot, used Honda Accord and another used vehicle from them. I should mention that these people all live over 50 miles from the dealership and they too are extremely pleased with the service that they have received from the staff. They've both mentioned that they have never had an easier time buying a vehicle and would also recommend Bill Kay Honda to their respective family and friends.

I quoted for a price for 2011 honda odyssey on the internet they gave the final price as 35000 out the door with 10miles on it. I traveled all the way from PA and when I reached there they changed the car and asked me to pay 35500 with added feature on the car and I was asked to get out if I am not buying the car. Donny Mcgee and Tony from finance are the persons who don't know to talk to customers. Please, my friends if you no choice have to go them and talk to them you will know what I am talking about. You can personally experience or you can listen to me. DON'T GO FOR THEIR INTERNET PRICING THEY ARE CHEATERS.An intelligent person learns from others experience and an dumb person learns from his own experience like me. Please decide for your self.THEY ARE CHEATERS!!!!!!!!!!!!

This dealership is very rude and unprofessional. I went there after getting an internet quote. The guy showed up after 10 min and he started saying that the price was fixed which is kind of insulting. He was dealing with 3 customers at the same time and kept me waiting for another 10 min for test driving. Being frustrated, I decided not to take any test drive. Honda should revoke dealership from these assholes.

Called on an internet price for 07 Mazda5 listed with Bill Kay Honda. Price was more than I wanted to pay and they were unwilling to drop rate at all. I chose not to buy and 4 days later was contacted by the sales rep to deal with repricing. They took a few days to get where i wanted and after I placed the money down, they treated us like crap. They answered calls rudely and when I requested the manager, the manager sent someone else to call me back. They origanaly were going to accept a certified check from Navy Federal Credit union and after we flew half way there they texted me in the airport saying they would no longer accept my certified check today because the manager didn't want too so i should turn around and go home if I didn't want to finance the car with them. The plane ticket cost $750.00 and we were already half way there. When we arrived, they weren't going to even let us test drive the car and were angry when we asked to do so. They were in a hurry to get us to sign and get out. The service was horrible and the management sucks. I will never get a rig from them again. There was no auto manual in the car and they didn't give us the floor mats that came with the car. Piss Poor if you ask me.

Looking to purchase a 2011 Honda Pilot EX-L RES. Saw the online ad and the "Internet Price" was a little over invoice (roughly 34,400)on the Pilots I was looking at. One was a dealer DEMO and stated to "call for price". I was out car shopping and decided to stop in and inquire about the price on the DEMO. Walked in and saw some old guy sitting behind a desk staring at me. Without a "hello" or "may I help you" I inquired about the price of the DEMO. Old guy says, "Like 35,000 or 36,000". So I inquire as to why the exact same new ones are less than the DEMO? The answer? "Well then buy a new one!" as old guy turns his back and walks away. Total time in dealership, 45 seconds. Now I am aware that the DEMOs still cost the dealer the same as a new car, but a little courtesy and customer service is not to much to ask for. I have bought four Hondas from Planet Honda in Matteson and decided to shop around a little before buying number five this time. Big mistake. Stay away from Bill Kay. They act like they neither need nor want your business (which probably explained why I was the only one in the showroom).

I wanted to get a quote through from them through a classified ad on ebay, for a 2010 Honda Civic DX-VP Sedan Automatic. Its regular MSRP is $17,915, and its regular invoice is 16,565, however Honda is currently running a $650 incentive. The way the salesman wrote was immediately insulting and dishonest. No greeting, goes right into "I think you are smart enough to know our advertised price is dealer invoice, what we pay for this vehicle. Can't sell it for less than what we pay for it. That is the selling price plus all applicable fees and taxes." This statement is immediately insulting, because he is suggesting I am "not smart" for offering less than invoice, and also a double-lie because 1) dealers do make profits below invoice (if they really didn't, then they would not sell cars even at invoice price, and the legal fine print on many car adds tells you that they can make profits besides price minus invoice) and 2) he is also lying about invoice, which is $15,915 at the moment because of a $650 incentive he wants to keep for himself, invoice = 16,565-650= $15,915. So I told him that Ed Napleton Honda in Oak Lawn sent out an email offering $2,000 below MSRP on Civic Sedans, which for this model would be $17,915-2,000 = $15,915 (the same number we got by subtracting 650 from invoice) and that I had gotten a quote from O'hare Honda through the Drive your Dream autobuying program on carbuyingtips for $15,887. So he replies "why didn't you buy it then?". Again an insulting way to talk to a customer; this statement either means I am lying or it means go buy it there. So i replied that I didn't buy it yet because "I am shopping around for the best price", so he sticks to his lie and says "I'm always amazed at how much people not in the business know more than those of us who are. If you are smart enough to know, then you know it's not good business to sell for less than what you pay for the item. Buy two and sell, me one." sticking to his lie about what the car costs him, and continuing his insulting "you are smart enough" talk.. Needless to say, I never found out what the fees are(pure dealer profit) , but I bet they tag on hundreds more with them.
