Fishing for trout and came in for lunch and an oil change. I was told to bring the car in at 2:30. I arrived early after lunch and bought my book along to read. I was worked in immediately and was out in one half hour. I didn't get much read and was back to the streams.

I took my car for the oil change and when I picked it up I found they had also did a complimentary wash of the outside; felt bad for whomever got stuck doing it as I had been on the road a lot and there was a ton of bugs to clean off. I just moved to the area and was hesitant going to a new dealer for service. I dropped my car off at 7:15 a.m., without an appointment. I needed an oil change and a patch repair to my tire. I had to go out of town that day and they gave me a loaner car; however, I didn't need it. By 10 a.m., they were finished with my car so I was able to drive my own vehicle to Madison. Also, they didn't charge me an arm and a leg. Quality and friendly service is much appreciated, especially when those attributes are found few and far between in this day and age.

I have always had great service at Browns and would highly recommend everything except for the cell phone department. I had Sprint on the phone with Ting (my provider) to try and get reception on my S-4. I went to US Cellular and they said your phone must have been switched to our towers. I had to switch back to my S-2. I asked to have my phone switched back and was told I didn't do anything. My phone is now worthless.

We drove 4 1/2 hours to look at a used car on Brown's lot. Grant, the salesman, was very professional and helpful answering our questions. When we arrived, the staff there was very accommodating and the car was everything we thought it would be. Even the mechanic came out to address and take care of the minor issue we had. The owner of the dealership also introduced himself. It was a very pleasant experience.

Just so happy with the service at Brown's and the quick jobs they do. I did not even call for an appointment , I just left my car overnight and dropped the keys in the outside box and my husband called the next day about an oil change and they did it just as if I had made an appointment. While checking over my car they found other problems but they understood that it has to wait a few weeks for us to save up to pay for this and they never tried to pressure me into doing it right now. They did tell me that they could not tell me how long the part would last before it broke but that was an honest fact. Very happy with the place and friendly people working there.!!

Our experiences have been primarily with the motor home servicing department. They have always been accommodating and have gone out of their way to help. The staff takes as much time as we need to go over repairs, answer questions and they never make us feel rushed. Most recently Laura even volunteered to drive the motor home down to Clinton, IA, and when that couldn't be arranged offered to drop it off at our house in Port Byron, IL, which would have taken her an hour out of her way. Despite the two hour drive to Guttenberg we will continue to do business with Brown's.

Unfortunately I went through a construction area and picked up two flat tires in less than a week. One the occasion of the 1st, Jan found and ordered a new set of tires for me. Just 2 days later there's a 2nd flat. The moved the schedule around, found a loaner for me and got me in early to get the tires done ...and while they had it also changed the oil and did a courtesy wash free. The best car buying experience I have ever had. Duane Borrett & Grant Hooker made it a very relaxed process. No pressure, very patient. They both went out of their way to make sure I was getting everything I wanted in a new vehicle. Duane had the cars waiting for me when I got there. It was well worth the hour and a half drive. Duane and Grant answered every question I had and both stayed past closing time as I conversed with my wife on the phone while making my final decision. I was recently in to Brown's to have the suspension on my 06 Silverado worked on. All I have to say is AMAZING!!! Bruce and Ron were so helpful in getting me in and on the lift. Paul (the service tech) did and absolutly wonderful job with my truck. There were a few unexpected things Paul ran into and he was very thorough with me in explaining what else was needed. I was in and out of the shop during the day and each and every time i stopped in, Bruce and Ron were there to greet me and give me and update on the truck. I have recommended a friend who needs the the same thing done to his truck. I will continue to recommend Brown's to my friends and anyone else i may bump into. The folks at Browns are wonderful. They always seem to go above and beyond to take care of customers. Anytime our vehicles need service the service department is always on top of it. If I they have time they even wash your vehicles. Don't know of any other place that has that kind of service. We will always have our vehicals serviced there and most likely purchase as well.

A family event popped up and I realized I was already slightly overdue for service - and putting another 500 miles on was not a good idea. I called Ron to ask if there was ANY WAY to work me in -- 5 minutes later I handed my keys over - and picked up a rental so I could get the last minute shopping I needed. I promised I'd write a follow up review to my original and this is it. In original post I noted issues with the heat pump on our Forest River motor home, loss of signal with the TV antenna, GPS loose/non-functioning and a scratched dash console. After following up with the RV service department at Brown's we determined that the heat pump and antenna issues were due to user error (we the owners didn't read the owner's manual) and the scratch in the dash was pre-existing. We are still having issues with the vehicle GPS which keeps blowing a fuze, but Brown's has remained committed to troubleshooting that and we are still working to get that issue resolved. The staff at their service department remains very proactive and have taken all the time we need to discuss our concerns and provide instruction/guidance on use of the vehicle. Repair work to the air conditioning unit and vent covers (previous work) shows good workmanship. I'm giving 5 stars for quality of repairs since they have taken all appropriate steps relevant to the GPS issues and continue to do so.

That staff was very proactive and worked with us to address the issues with our Forrest River RV. When we received the vehicle back the repairs to the GPS didn't hold and it cut out halfway home...also it (the GPS) started to shift in the dash resulting in it sliding down and partially out which would seem to indicate it wasn't fully mounted. It also looks like during installation the imitation wood trim in the dash had been scratched. The TV antenna stopped functioning at the same time. RV is back at Brown's now for follow up. On the flip side there was damage to the air conditioner and roof vents and the work they completed on that looks to be very good. The folks at the RV service department were very nice and seemed like good honest people so this review will likely be updated in future, but for now I can only give a fair rating for quality of repairs and average for overall.

I discovered that our F-150 Ford Truck had a pinion seal leaking. We elected to have it replaced as a warranty repair before it became a serious issue. Ron, in service, booked us in at our earliest convenience. The repair was completed much quicker than I had anticipated and I do know something about car repairs. To top it all off they offered me a complimentary car wash. Overall, I was very pleased!

Ever since I started working in the local school system, I have had Brown's Service servicing my car. Since I teach all day three blocks from the dealership, they save me time and effort by picking up my car from school and returning it by the end of the school day. The customer service staff is warm and helpful, and the service department can't be beat. When I had to replace my car last year due to an accident, the sales staff bent over backwards to make sure I was comfortable with my new vehicle. I recenlty need and exhaust leak on 06 Duramax repaired, transmission flush and an allignment. The exhaust leak was in a very, very tight spot and the techs(Paul and Dan) were able to get right in and repair it! I am so pleased with the way Ron, Stacey and Bruce talked and worked with me. My husband and I have been shopping around for a new truck for the last couple months. Due to sleazy car salesmen here in the Dubuque area (I won't name them personally, their dealerships on Dodge st. Or their autoplazas) and the fact that they only seem to care about scraping the bottom of my bank account, we haven't had the best of luck finding something we love. But the other day, after a referral, we seem to have found a breath of fresh air when we walked into Brown's in Gutenberg. We were greeted with a smile by a gentleman named Grant Hooker. We explained our situation to him and he immediately made us feel at ease by asking us what exactly what we wanted instead of just pushing us towards the newest, shiniest car on the floor. Grant seemed very knowledgeable of what he was selling and stayed honest with us when it came to the nitty gritty questions. It seemed like he was genuinely happy to show us what we needed for us instead of what he needed for his paycheck. At the end of our night we felt like we were going to be buying from family, it was a great feeling considering the sick and defeated feeling i had walking out of the other dealerships we had been to. Unfortunately due to family matters we have been unable to pull the trigger on buying our truck but we agree that when the time comes, the only place we will be going is to Brown's and buying from Grant.

I had a real good car buying experience at Browns. It was pleasant with no pressure in that they were able to work with me on buying a new 2014 Ford Escape. The salesperson was top notch and very professional in helping me on the vehicle selection, test drive, and buying process to make sure that I got the most rebates and the best trade in price for my old vehicle. Normally looking to buy a new vehicle is a hassle and pain but at Browns it was very pleasant with no pressure and lots of help to make for an excellent experience before and after the sale.

Kudos to Stacy who gave me top service and knows her stuff. Even got me a loaner so I could tool around Guttenburg. So I took a walk along the river when she couldn't get a hold of me to get my vehicle done in advance and I had to wait a bit. Never has waiting been so enjoyable. It was at the end of the day and she still finished it in fine fashion. All good whenever I have used Browns Service dept.

I had my Mercury Sable in for service. It was just a short time and they were done with the service. They even washed my car and cleaned the inside. It looked like a new car and now it runs like a new car. Hats off to the service department.

Brown's makes repairs and maintenance very convenient. Ron will pick up my vehicle up at my house and return it on his way home. Brown's offers a courtesy car if you need one. I like the oil change rewards, after so many your next one is free. I like having my vehicle washed to. All around haven't had any issues Brown's service department.

Nothing like good customer service to keep me coming back! My car is picked up from the school where I work and delivered with all service complete by the end of the school day. The service department does a great job, even giving my vehicle a bath before returning it to me, a much appreciated extra with all the gravel roads I drive on. I brought my new vehicle in for its first service and I was very pleased with Browns. They were ready for my vehicle when I got there. Bruce was very thorough. I walked across the street and had a sandwich at Subway and upon my return the job was done! Bruce went over in detail all services done to the vehicle and they also took care of a couple recall issues all at the same time. Very professional.

Brown's Sales and Leasing is always where we go for any of our vehicle needs. We have bought all of our vehicles there over the past 30 plus years and have never been disappointed in their service. They are a great group of people and truly care about the customer. Ron in the service department is one of the best customer friendly people that I know. He always goes above and beyond for us. We also have utilized the body shop a few times over the past year or so and Laura was amazing as well! It is so refreshing to have such great customer service! I purchased a motor home from Browns the fall of 2013 and the sales staff are wonderful to work with. Before hitting the road I returned to the dealership to repair a scratch on the hood, caused by an accident where I store the motor home and they were great. No matter who on their staff you deal with, they are customer focused. If you need a motor home or a new or used car I highly recommend you go to Brown's sales and leasing.
