I just drove from the Syracuse area to purchase a 2013 Ford F-150 from Andrew Halsey at Burritt Motors in Oswego. It truly was "a better buying experience". The process went remarkably well and there was no uncomfortable moments during the purchasing process. The only two items that I think could have made the purchasing experience even better was if they fixed the fit of the plastic cover on the rear bumper (but hey I did buy a used truck) and leaving with a full tank of gas. Overall it was a great experience and I would recommend Andrew and Burritt Motors to all my friends and family!

I give them a 9 because only God gets a 10. This is the third purchase from Burritt Motors . I think that says it all. You are treated well, the dealership is clean and orderly, the people are friendly and very professional. We will more than likely make our next purchase there. They did not have the car we were looking for but found one for us. Out of the six local dealers we contacted they were they were one of only two dealers that searched for what we wanted. And they did it first. That's why we return.

I was in the market for a Jeep Grand Cherokee and found one that I liked a Burritt's. After Brian Joyce, our salesman, reached out to me to set up a time to go look at it he also informed me of a new arrival that they had coming in that day that was similar to the jeep I had planned on looking at. He answered any questions (before we could even ask them) about the two jeeps. He even helped us to compare the better of the two! His customer service and salesman ship was great, he was never pushy which I liked. We ended up purchasing the jeep that was the new arrival instead of the one we were originally looking at. Burritt's had my vehicle ready for me to pick up later that, which I thought was super fast! In addition to shining my new jeep up they also took car of my insurance and new plates. We bought a 2014 Buick Enclave and it was an awesome experience end to end. We got an amazing price, and a really low interest rate. In adiction to that when we brought our small kids there was a bouncy house for them to play on site, coloring books, free snacks and drinks and the staff was all helpful. They really thought about the process of buying from end to end and made it family friendly. We saw the car on a Wednesday and drove home with it on Thursday. Very happy with this facility.

We've never been much of a truck family, but there comes a time when you have to face the fact that sometimes only a truck will do. The Avalanche is a great choice for us. It's very flexible. I rode in the back seat and it was like riding in the back of a car, only roomier. For a big chubby guy like me, that's something. And with the back seat down, we have a full eight-foot truck bed to work with. Andrew Halsey was great at finding us the perfect vehicle for our needs and getting us the terms that fit our budget.

I went to Burrit Motors on a Friday just to see what my options were. I was greeted warmly and referred to Gino Ruggio. I came in armed with three cars I thought I might be interested in buying. They were not the right fit for me or had sold. Gino was very helpful looking through inventory and pulling cars for me to look at. I'm probably a difficult person to work with and have certain car quirks, like hating two door vehicles, but Gino was up to the challenge. He ended up showing me a Nissan Versa Note which I took for a test drive and loved. I wanted a certain payment and after several back and forth I got it. They detailed the car over the weekend and Monday I drove away in my pre-owned vehicle. The experience was amazing. Not pushy like I've experienced in other purchases. Gino seemed very interested in getting me a car and a price I could afford and be happy with. I would definitely recommend Burritt Motors for your car buying needs. My sister and her fiance are in the market and I almost have them convinced to make the drive to buy here. I also dealt with Mike the finance guy and the insurance guy. They were also great. These people treat you like a person not a dollar sign. I'm planning on keeping my versa as long as possible but will definitely return to Burritt when in the market again.

Looking for slightly used (around 2014) Chevy Suburban. After several weeks of searching, call Burritt and was fortunate to talk with Vice President. While we were talking, he did an on-the-spot search and presented us with several available options. Within half hour, we had selected a primary choice, which he was able to bring to his dealership in less than a week. In the meantime, he did send us several photos, as well as complete description with VIN designation. After reviewing all specifications (and several more phone calls), we felt that this suburban was what we were looking for. Consequently, made an appointment, inspected the vehicle, and closed the deal. Overall, the whole process went very smoothly, and we ended up with exactly what we wanted, so again thank you for your great service and extended effort that certainly went 'above and beyond' what we expected!

Dustin was absolutely wonderful. This was my first time purchase, as a female and by myself. After setting up an appointment online I pulled into the lot and was immediately greeted by Dustin. The buying process was pretty smooth. They offered a GREAT deal on my trade in ($500 more than Maguire's), and were even able to work out a minor haggle to get me to where I wanted my finance amount needed to be. There were a few post-purchase bumps in the road between the bank I chose to finance with and the dealership, but the dealership really helped me figure all the logistics out. I would definitely recommend Burritt Motors, and specifically Dustin to a friend. I definitely appreciated how he didn't treat me like a lone woman buying a car; (The ladies reading this will understand that feeling). And he was open and honest about what he did and didn't know about the vehicle (I purchased a used non-chevrolet vehicle). The communication between all parties at the dealership was AMAZING. Texting, emails and calls they covered it all which makes it SUPER convenient while I was at work.

I went to Burritt Motors to trade my 2006 Dodge Stratus in last week on Wednesday. I was interested in a couple of 2015 Chevy Malibu Burritt had on their lot. After breifly going over options of what I was looking for with Rich Burritt and Larry Johnson I was able to test drive two different Chevy Malibu, one on Wednesday and one on Thursday. I made my decision by Thursday after driving the 2015 Chevy Malibu LT1. Great car with just over 17,000 miles on it and reasonably priced. I can't thank Larry more for the support he gave me. This was my first car purchase as I am only 24 years old and this process was very easy and smooth with Larrys help. Thanks guys!

I had some parts painted by your body shop recently for my 2008 Corvette I purchased from you in December. The manager was very accommodating and took very good care of me. I was in a bind, my 97 Silverado just developed transmission problems that morning and I was in a rental car. I went to Burritt's to look at 2 trucks that I saw on the Internet. I drove 2 different crew cabs and didn't really care for either of them, Andrew didn't give up and brought out the extended cab that we both agreed was the best of the trucks we drove. Mike got us a good rate and we picked up the truck the next day and they even took in my old truck on trade, even with a bad transmission. A great buying experience all around. That is a quote right from the salesman closing comments via email. I purchased A vehicle from Burritt this past Tuesday the 9th. Cold weather Friday and Saturday rendered the battery in the vehicle dead/bad. So I did indeed call. You would think when you spend almost 20K for a vehicle that the Dealer would pay attention to the small details to ensure that "total customer satisfaction", right? Not so much........ Although the salesman was courteous and patient its a shame to leave this transaction on a "sour-note". Sure....I will eat the 120 bucks for a new battery. However what a missed opportunity for the Dealership to practice what they preach.

My wife traded in her 2013 Equinox (lease) for a 2016 Equinox (lease). Our lease was not up yet and they gave us a great deal! The staff was very friendly which made the whole process much less painfull. They did not have the car my wife wanted on their lot, so they located one in Rome and had it there the next day! I bought a 2009 chevy Tahoe at Burritt's motors last week , While driving the car home .It lost power , lights went off and on and the battery voltage gauge was pegged out to the positive point on the gauge . This happened four more times over the next two days . I had a appointment set up to see if the problem could be fixed . After over two days at Burritts , I was told they could not get the car to duplicate the concern . So now I am back at the same point I was at before I brought the car out for repairs at Burritts. The sales lady , Anita, was excellent to work with,I will NOT be returning to Burritts motors for any future problems with the Tahoe.

My husband and I had a 2013 Chevy Traverse and were getting a lot of offers from GM for a pull ahead lease. Our lease was not up until May 2016 and we were already over our mileage. We had went to the dealer that we originally leased it from and they did not get back to us, we went to another dealer locally and they did not get back to us. So we had heard a lot of people going to Burritt Motors so we thought we would give it a try. I am so glad we did. Not only was the Sales Manager Jay Britton and our Salesperson Andrew Halsey so pleasant but they made us feel like we were part of the dealership family. They took the time to find different rebates and even went back to find other "hidden" money. There was one issue regarding the payment in the eleventh hour but you know what their financial manager and Jay were able to work things out so that we did not even have to put down as much as we thought and got the payment we wanted and even saved us $100 a month. When we picked up the car, it usually takes forever, not here, they have everything for you and try to make it as simple as possible. I am so glad we had went to this "hometown" dealership!! We will definitely be returning customers.

Back in February 2015, I decided to search for a Certified Pre-Owned vehicle thru the Official GM website. One of the results was the car that I bought from Burritt on Feb 14th, 2015. I went on and bought my 2012 Equinox thinking that they had completed all the require inspections and refurbished the vehicle promised by the GM CPO Warranty and the dealership. To my pain I found out two days later when I took my vehicle to get rust protection that the bottom front fender was missing and that my air intake was exposed, also the bumper was separated from the body and for that reason the front right headlight had moisture. Also all the wiper blades were worn out. I manage to have them complete all the repairs that should have being completed prior to the sale and even at the NY state vehicle inspection that they conducted on my vehicle the same day of the sale. Now 10 months later, I brought my vehicle to another dealership for the schedule maintenance to find out that only the oil and had being exchange in the vehicle when I bought it. My radiator fluid is at the end of its life time, breaks they all need to be change, brake fluid is pass over due. All of this maintenance work orders and inspections should have being completed prior to them selling the vehicle to me. If I had my way I would not even give them the one start that I have here.

Waiting area was reasonable. Slight improvements in communication ability are recommended. Just minor things such as email address not on business card, certain emails not accepting picture attachments for my trade in, etc. Overall purchase was rather quick. And they offered to deliver the vehicle to our house for free after we got there and found a mix up of them not being able to sell us the vehicle that evening. I found a great deal on a new Chevy Spark and was willing to drive about 2.5 hrs to Burritt. When I called, they called me right back (their phone system was having problems) and I made an appointment that was convenient for me without a problem. Anita was our salesperson, and she was very efficient, clear, friendly and professional. The car was already $3500 under MSRP so I didn't have to do the usual haggling thing, which was a great relief to me. She took the time to go over all the details and included extras of the car, and went the extra mile by printing out my new insurance card and faxing over the window sticker to my insurance, too. When it came time to talk about the extras they wanted to upsell (rust protection and extended warranty) the sales pressure wasn't overly firm, which I greatly appreciated, because the hard sell can be difficult to say no to. I arrived around 12:30, spent about 45 minutes on my test drive, and was on my way home with my clean, inspected new car by 6:00.

I was referred here by my husband who said they were a great company when he bought his car there many years ago. They had the car I was looking for and the price. Jeff Fields bragged about how great the car was and ready to go out the door. When I walked out the door it looked like it had been in more fender benders then possible with visible signs of damage and an automatic door that did not work. I needed the car and Jeff and Jim Congdon said they would fix the damage to the bumper and the door if I bought it. We brought the car back, they had it for 3 days and did not even look at the damage to the bumper. After complaining and threatening them to file a compliant they picked up the car, had it for 4 more days and did not even do anything to it but lied and said they did( my husband took rag to it and got most of the scratches out after) I then complained again and they wanted us to drive over another hour each way again to try the third time. I told them they needed to get the car or fix it local since they have failed to fix it 2 times already and now they have refused to work with me or make right on their promise and they have not returned my call again for another week when they were going to see what they could do to make the situation right. They are not honest and will say and do anything for a sale..The car was missing pieces and they do not do anything to the car to make it look good for a sale. PLEASE PLEASE only buy a NEW car that you know has not been tampered with if you are going to buy from there. These guys are NO GOOD!!! And please watch them, I closed late so everyone was in hurry to get out of there but they snuck in a 2k extended warranty just because my interest was lower. All they really explained is basically I know you wanted 350.00 payments but the interest was lower and I could have saved you money but we added this warranty on the keep you at the 366.00 payment we thought originally. Shame on me because I did not look better but just beware.

I spent quite some time finding a used car I was interested in looking at. I was a little hesitant to drive out to Burritt - I live 1 1/2 hours away. My experience with 3 other dealerships had left a very bad taste in my mouth... So I used the Internet chat to set up an appointment to drive out to see the car. I should have just called and set it up the old fashioned way. When I got there the next day, nothing had been arranged. In fact, the car wasn't even on the lot! But Andrew and the manager did great in making things right. They drove me down to where the car was - at a auto repair shop. I put down a small down payment and they drive the car 90 or do miles to me so I could get it checked out by my repair guy and test drive it. They even put on new tires and brake pads. Without me buying the car yet! So, in summary, confirm any Internet chat plans, but the staff at Burritt were extraordinarily helpful and accommodating. I feel I got a great bargain and a great car.

This is my first Chevy purchase and first purchase at the Burritt Dealership. Larry Johnson was AMAZING! He explained every cost and charge, went through the paperwork with me item by item - even managed to find me THE car for me in one shot! Now that is knowing your customer! I was treated with respect and no question was unwelcomed. Finance charges, interest rate and trade in numbers were explained to the penny. Nothing was hidden or a secret and no surprises when we got down to the paperwork. Larry was extremely knowledgeable about the product he was selling, why he recommended this particular vehicle for me and even went to far to assist me with the vehicle set up including OnStar and bluetooth. I never felt like i was a hostage to the sales team or the finance manager, I was never spoken down to, and no one asked me if i needed to call my "husband" for permission to look at a new car or to have him co-signed - all which I had experience the night before at another dealership. Will I go back to Burritt to purchase my next car? YES! Do I recommend Larry and his team at Burritt? WITHOUT QUESTION OR DOUBT!

Saw a great looking used Tahoe for sales. Had been looking awhile. I called asked a ton of questions and did all the financing on the phone with them ahead of time. I knew what I wanted. I drove 5 hrs each way to see there were scratches that had a thick touch up paint blobbed on and the wrong second row seats???? The pictures of the Tahoe on the Internet was not what I had in front of me. Literally...they sold the captain chairs seats to another customer and put in another trucks second row bench. It had different leather and the wrong seats!! They were arrogant enough to offer putting in another type of leather from an older Cadillac and then tried again with an even older Tahoe. It was so unethical and scamming they were even suprised. Most horrible dealership experience I was disgusted. Horrible.

My husband and I drove from Fort Drum to your dealership to buy a new car for myself. Anita Balducci was more than happy to show us the car I wanted. We took a test drive and I was SOLD. The price of the vehicle was much lower at your dealership than the prices for the same car around Fort Drum. Also Anita made us aware of all the discounts that we were able to receive like having USAA saved us alot of money. Anita worked her magic while we sat in the waiting room. I have never seen a dealership that had a waiting room like this before. Free snacks, soda, juice, and 4 different kinds of coffee! Anita had all the paperwork in order and all we had to do is wait for our bank to send the check. She then gave me a tour of the dealership and a few goodies. The bank had made a few mistakes along the way I was so frustrated with them. Everyday Anita and I would check in with each other to keep everyone updated. Then finally a week later I got the call from Anita saying the check from the bank finally made it there! I think Anita was as excited as I was! We made the long drive back down to Burritt' s she handed me my new car keys thanked us and told us if we need anything to give her a call. I hopped into my new car and drove away a extremely happy customer.

However the staff was surprisingly friendly with the intention to try to get me the best deal possible. No tricks or hidden costs or games. She was straight forward with me and thoroughly eased my concerns and made the purchase experience far better than I had anticipated. Jared was our runner in getting us car's to test drive and he was amazing. We specified we wanted a 7 seat vehicle and at first they tried to sell us a 5 seat vehicle but we caught it in time. After doing our own research we had Larry as our representative and he did a wonderful job. It took us a long time to want to trade in old Bessie, but we finally did and even though we miss the clanking of our old car we are so happy with the smooth ride and amazing features in our new car. Purchased a 2012 F150 from dealer lot last week. Initially offered less than they wanted 4 weeks ago, would not meet my price so I walked away. Recently they dropped the price so I came back in. Worked with Anita who was great. The brakes had shudder so I asked the dealer to replace front rotors and pads, they chose to resurface the rotors instead of replace which is my only complaint. Initially offered only one master key with the vehicle but I told them I would like both keys since it's $225 at a Ford dealer if you want to program a second master key. Anita got this done for me after the sales manager refused the first go around. All in all, a very good experience, they took my trade with 150,000 miles and sent me out with a 2012 F150 Platinum with 35K miles on it.

Went there to purchase a new Traverse. We had picked out the vehicle we wanted to test drive and possibly purchase before we got there. Jeff Fields was our Salesman . He was very helpful and did not try to change our minds. They we having some computer problems that day so we were unable to discuss the payment options at that time. I felt we got a fair deal on our trade. When we did get to speak to the finance dept they were able to get us the best rate available. We were very satisfied with the experience we had at Burritt Motors. Only problem I see is knowing where to park and the amount of customer parking.

Anita is great, she remembers me by name anytime I walk into the dealership or even in passing at a local grocery store. Anita is not your typical "pushy" salesperson and won't just tell you what you want to hear to make the sale. Overall the entire staff is friendly and welcoming. My wife and I just moved out of our house, which we lived in for 30 years. It was in the country on a dead end road. As such, I have always owned a truck or an SUV with a plow. We moved into an apartment, so I no longer need such a vehicle. I tried to sell my plow separately with no luck. On a whim I stopped at Burritt's to discuss what they might do for me. I was upside down on my vehicle, but I listened to a few options that they provided. I was able to trade my current vehicle with the plow and ended up leasing a 2015 Traverse. My monthly payment was reasonable considering my upside down position on my traded vehicle. I was very pleased with my sales person and the dealership overall. They really helped me. I recently decided I would find out what my (past) current truck was worth. I brought it to Burritt expecting a fairly low amount. I also was not certain of buying a newer truck but mine was starting to show it's age. Not only do I feel that they gave me a very fair trade in value, they accepted the truck with its flaws, a few mechanical issues, and had the only truck around that fit my requirements and was in my price range. I am very happy with my purchase and am looking forward to driving my new truck. This is my second vehicle from them within two years and I will continue to look here when buying my new vehicles.

Stopped in this past Tuesday to take a look at a car I saw listen online. Even on a short notice (20 minutes) they were able to prepare it in the time I got there for a test drive. Test drive went awesome unlike most where the salesman is up tight and emotionless this one made me feel comfortable enough to make jokes and not die in the silence haha. After the test drive I loved the car and wanted to buy it...here's the catch I only had a hour till I had to get back to work. After working there backs off and making phone calls they were able to get me out of there in 45 minutes with the lowest rate I've had on a vehicle. To make my buying experience review short and sweet it was short and sweet haha.

I went in to Co sign for another buyer, jeff approached me about potentially trading in my jeep for a newer car. I was dead set on keeping my jeep forever. The service staff was amazing. I've never dealt with service staff who to the same lengths they did to make sure my car was ready for me when I needed it. The finance manager worked with me to find a rate that beat my local credit union when they didn't think it was possible. Great to deal with him. The sales staff (Andrew and manager Jim) stayed almost two hours after the close of business on a Friday to make the sale happen. Dedication to his job and making sure my wife and I were satisfied with our '11 Traverse. I'd absolutely recommend Burritt Motors to anyone looking for either new or used vehicles.

I was not in any hurry to buy a used pickup and was looking around at different dealers. My daughter and I stopped in at Burritts and were looking at some out back when I spotted a Avalanch which I was leaning toward with 55,000 on it so we went to ask about it. I caught Rich as we walked in and asked about it. He could not find it in the inventory and he ask Jay about it. It was not in the inventory due to problems. They said they had 2 real clean 1500 Silverados that had just came in and were real clean. We went out and found the extend cab and really liked it over the crew cab. The extend had 50790 miles which was around what I was looking for. We had to leave to get my wife. That evening Rich called and ask me about it and I said we would be in tomorrow. He was the only dealer that called me back and showed any interest in dealing. The next day we for a test drive and I bought it. So far I am very satisfied and Very happy with their service. My buying process took several days. My excellent salesperson, Andrew Halsey, and many members of the Burritt team made the difference. Its been 8 years since I bought a truck and the advances in engineering were, for me, a bit intimidating. New engines, transmissions, suspensions, technology, and rules about snow plow installation, required a learning curve for me before I could get really comfortable with a purchase. EVERYONE at Burritts, (sales, service, body shop, delivery prep, management) went out of their way to cheerfully answer my numerous questions. There was never any pressure to move too quickly and the negotiations were positive and transparent. We are fortunate to have such a fine auto dealership here in Oswego.

Going to a Chevy/Buick dealer and telling them you would like to buy from them, but that you would prefer a Lincoln was no easy assignment for Burritt's. They said, "you like what you like and we will work very hard to satisfy you ". The communication during the process was excellent and all along indicating they thought I would be very pleased. They delivered a Lincoln with everything I had asked for in options and with lower mileage than I had anticipated. Very satisfied with expectations exceeded! It wasn't on before it came in? Burritt denies this, and basically called me a liar. After I bought a vehicle and sent them TWO more customers who also purchased. This is a VERY dishonest shady business that should be SHUT DOWN by NYS. Basically just thieves and liars.

I found the car I was looking for through cars.com and started talking with Burritt's right away. Dustin Geers was always responsive with any info I requested. Eight days later I had my car delivered and my trade-in taken away. My trade in value was fair and they handled the payoff of my previous loan and took care of the financing for less than I could get with my Credit Union. While I was at the DMV there were a few unanswered questions and Reisa answered them quickly and even faxed over a document that was need in a matter of minutes. I felt like the entire staff was trying to make the whole process an enjoyable one. For such a long distance transaction, I live in the DC area, I felt very comfortable buying a certified vehicle from Burritt's and would recommend them to anyone.

He talked me into going to Burritt's and just talking to Anita. I previously had a Cadillac Deville and was skeptical about another kind of car. Anita was very professional but kind about my situation and I found myself very comfortable. I eventually bought a 2015 Chevrolet Equinox, silver topaz and I love it! Andrew Halsey did a fantastic job in finding the right vehicle for my family. We first arrived long after opening hours and Andrew with no complaints and open arms took his time to find us just what we were looking. My wife was interested in trading in her 2006 Envoy. We had purchased it in Nov. of 2005 and had met our needs well but it was time for a trade. We cleaned up the car and went to Burritt'sto speak to a sales person and test drive Buick and Chevrolet vehicles. The sales person that helped us was Anita Balducci. She was very friendly and helpful during our test drive of multiple vehicles. She is not a high pressure sales person. She helped us received a good price for our trade and great price on a "left over" 2013 Equinox LTZ that was loaded with options. I would recommend Anita on your next car purchase at Burritt's. Rob Galloway was helpful with the other details of the purchase - vehicle protection and extended warranty. We tend to own vehicles for 8-9 years so those two items were important to us. They have recently completed a major remodeling of their facility and made a big improvement to their sales, service and parts departments.

We found our 2015 Suburban LTZ on-line. My husband called up and spoke to Andrew Halsey. He was nice and professional. We then drove 1.5 hours to the dealership so they could look at my 2008 Cadillac Escalade. They gave me a fair price for trade-in. We had all 3 of our little children with us and everyone was sooo nice and accommodating. No haggling, no numbers playing, all the horror stories you hear about dealerships and salespeople will not happen here. The dealership is nice, clean, modern and well planned out. I traded my Escalade in for that 2015 Diamond white Suburban LTZ the next day. They had all the paperwork ready and it was such a nice and quick transaction. Andrew knew how to explain everything and had a ready answer for my questions. Then we went out and he showed me everything in the vehicle. All in all other than the drive I think we were there for about 1.5 hours. No stress, no pressure. A VERY nice buying experience. My husband had left his cell phone in the Cadillac so I texted Andrew and he found it and we had it in our hands 2 days later, at no charge...I would definitely recommend this dealership and Andrew Halsey to my friends and I will look here before anywhere else when it comes time to trade again. I searched for vehicles for roughly two months and tried many different dealerships. Those dealerships may have had the vehicle I was looking for, but their tactics and antics were always enough to keep me from purchasing a vehicle from them. Well by the time I left there I was going to be picking up my new car on Monday.. They worked everything out with the best deal I could have asked for.. Found a used car that I was interested in on Cars.com. After some initial communication, I made an appointment to come see the car and took the 1.5 hour ride out to Oswego. When I arrived I was immediately allowed to take the car out for a test drive (by myself which I always appreciate!) before any real conversation took place. And then when I returned after about a 20 minute drive, I was left alone out in the parking lot for another 20-25 minutes while I looked the car over (no pressure, which again I really appreciated!). The car had been accurately presented, and I liked it but I was not ready to buy it that day. Again no pressure (this was on a Friday) as I was told I could have until Monday Noon to decide. So over the weekend and on Monday we traded some e-mails and phone calls and then late Monday morning a deal was struck. They had a few things to do to the car, and given my location we set-up the delivery for the following Saturday. I also handled the Financing though Burritt (via e-mail and phone) - which turned out to be a very easy process and they were able to get me a better interest rate than my Credit Union could. Everything was ready when I arrived for pick-up. Got a nice tour of the dealership before delivery - seems like a great place. I dealt with Andrew Halsey and Jay Britton whom I can only say are both as nice and good at their jobs as anyone I've ever dealt with. I only wish I lived closer to Burritt so I could make them my "go to" dealer!

I recently leased a 2014 Chevy Cruze from Burritt's. My previous car had completely broken down in a day, and I needed a car within two days to get back to where I live (I was in town visiting my parents). I was immediately seen to, and had the whole leasing process explained to me very simply, as this is my first lease. Everyone was very nice to me, and within two days I had my new car registered, inspected, my insurance changed, and on the road. They also put in cruise control in the car within a day with no problems. I would definitely go back here to Burritt Motors if I am still in the area when my lease runs out. I hope everyone has an experience as unstressful as mine!

I sent in a prequalification late Tuesday night and Andrew Halsey working from home emailed me back quickly and called me the following morning and left a message. I got back to him by email and each time he responded very quickly and was really helpful. He stayed late at work emailing me about the vehicles I was interested in and we set something up to meet Friday night after my husband got out of work. When we got there Andrew was very pleasant to deal with and he worked with us to get us exactly what I wanted at the price I wanted. Everything went through very quickly and I picked up my new Chevy equinox on Tuesday after they made sure it was detailed and oil changed and all set to go. I would definetly recommend asking for Andrew Halsey when going to burritts, I have no complaints about his service at all, we even got a nice little tour of the shop before leaving just incase we needed to come back for any reason.

I have purchased many vehicles throughout my long life, but my buying experience with Anita Balducci at Burritt Motors was by far the best. Anita was not pushy or annoying as some sales people can be, she met with me as scheduled and let me test drive the vehicle. She had my vehicle appraised and gave me their offer, I accepted and she introduced me to Rob, from the finance dept. Rob did a very professional job explaining everything and arranging financing. The deal was signed and sealed in a very short time. When I picked up my new vehicle Anita and Rob went over the warranty and contract then Anita gave me a tour of the dealership introducing me to a Parts dept. and Service dept. staff member. I spent 4 hours on the road and the gas that it took to make those trips, not to mention the time I spent researching vehicles offered by this less than reputable dealership.Several months ago, I saw a vehicle at Burritt that interested. I made the hour long one way trip to Oswego to take a look. I entered the showroom and stood there. I did not see any other customers lingering around but did see many Burritt employees milling about. I asked to speak with someone about a car and it seemed difficult to find a salesperson interested in making a sale. When a salesperson was identified, he seemed rather disinterested but would do me the favor of talking with me. He had the personality of a dead fish but managed to converse me on a basic level. When he found the car online that I wanted to see, I asked the rhetorical question, "This car is pre-owned certified, right?". I knew it was because the ad claimed so and the vehicle in the lot had a sign in the window stating "This vehicle is GM pre-owned certified". I wanted to be sure, just the same. The salesperson responded. "No, it is certifiable". I asked him what that means. He said that, if I paid and extra two thousand plus dollars, it could be "certified". I told him that is deemed certified in their ad. He reiterated that it is "certifiable". At that point, I left the dealership.Sometime later, I received a call from the Burritt internet specialist. I told him that I was not interested in doing business with Burritt and recounted my story. He said the vehicle is GM certified and it is not necessary to pay any additional monies for the certification. About a week later, the specialist called me back and said that the salesperson was wrong and his mistake had been covered at a sales meeting. He asked me if I was still interested in doing business with them and I thanked him and told him that I was not interested currently but might change my mind in the future. Recently, I saw another vehicle offered by Burritt that peaked my interest. I expressed my interest in an on line inquiry form. The same specialist contacted me. I reminded him of my previous challenge with Burritt but said that I would be willing to give them another chance. We made an appointment and he told me he'd call me should the car be sold before that time.I showed up about ten minutes before the appointment and waited until the internet specialist was located. We sat in his office as he looked up the vehicle. He stood up and told me that he would bring the vehicle around. He returned with the keys but told me that his paperwork indicated that the vehicle had been sold but he needed to verify that it truly was no longer available. After finding and speaking with the person who allegedly sold the car, he came back and advised me that yes, it had been sold. He said it was still listed on the web and he did not see an inspection sticker on the vehicle so he assumed it was still for sale. He turned to his computer monitor and said. "We do have this vehicle for sale...". I told him that his dealership was now 0 for 2. He said that it wasn't his fault. I told him that it certainly was not my fault and that it did not matter to me who was at fault among the Burritt, they are all one entity to me. I stood up and thanked him as I walked out. He continued to chatter as I left.I strongly caution anyone thinking about doing business with Burritt, especially if you have to travel to get there. I can't imagine what kind of service is received by those who actually make a purchase at Burritt.

My experience with Burritt was decent until after the deal had been closed. The sales person Rich Gillen promised to have the dealership purchase an extra programmable key for me, and also to find an owner's manual for the 2013 Ford escape I purchased. That was on December 9th, 2013....it's the 31st and all I have gotten from Rich is one excuse after another. He seemed sincere but turned out to be another sales person who will tell you anything to get you out the door. Other wise known as a "liar". I would recommend you shop elsewhere, or make sure you get everything in writing from these people, because they will not deliver anything once you have signed the papers.

Decided to update my review, since the dealer called and left a message to update my review. Careful what you ask for.The sales person was rude and spoke down to me, the dealership also wanted to charge me for floor mats with their logo on it. The Manager took over sale and advised the sales person was young and is human..not and Im sorry, not that he should have not spoke to me that way. So sales person had also advised we would be able to pick up vehicle Monday, when I spoke with manager he advised me that a sales person would not know when a vehicle would be ready and most likely would not be ready at the time we were advised. Manger spoke with spouse and advised vehicle would not be ready when we were told it would be. I advised my spouse I know longer wanted vehicle, it was to be my Christmas present. My Spouse advised manager we know longer wanted vehicle. Manger called back and spoke with spouse and advised vehicle would be done and could be picked up. My spouse decided to purchase vehicle. I would have never purchased vehicle from them after way I was treated, wish he had not worst Christmas present.They did fix breaks, and give us the floor mats free charge. Vehicle was not washed and had tank of gas in it.Per the company policy you are only worth a full tank of gas if you buy vehicle new, not used...... to even though we spend $20,000 it was not good enough for a tank of gas.Will go to a smaller dealership next time that will treat a costumer great, no matter if they buy new or used.

Had a very friendly experience at Burritt Motors while purchasing a used small pickup. Found the vehicle on Cars.com, send in a request, got back a quick reply from A. Halsey and went from there. Andy was easy to work with, easy to contact, and in general a friendly person. For those of you who are more tech savvy Andy is quick to reply via email answering all questions. We met twice, the first time Andy did stay late well past closing on a Saturday to answer all questions and help close the deal, the second time was early Saturday morning and was just as smooth as he had all the paperwork ready to go in a timely fashion. Along working with Andy was Rob, another friendly individual who helped set up the warranty for the vehicle. He was very knowledgeable and also easy to work with. The whole staff at Burritt was very friendly and seemed willing to work with you, I know felt very comfortable. It was a very clean well kept and inviting facility. I would return again for a future purchase without hesitating.

Had a very friendly experience at Burritt Motors while purchasing a used small pickup. Found the vehicle on Cars.com, send in a request, got back a quick reply from A. Halsey and went from there. Andy was easy to work with, easy to contact, and in general a friendly person. For those of you who are more tech savvy Andy is quick to reply via email answering all questions. We met twice, the first time Andy did stay late well past closing on a Saturday to answer all questions and help close the deal, the second time was early Saturday morning and was just as smooth as he had all the paperwork ready to go in a timely fashion. Along working with Andy was Rob, another friendly individual who helped set up the warranty for the vehicle. He was very knowledgeable and also easy to work with. The whole staff at Burritt was very friendly and seemed willing to work with you, I know felt very comfortable. It was a very clean well kept and inviting facility. I would return again for a future purchase without hesitating.

I contacted Burritts once again to purchase another vehicle and all I can is A+ job as usual! I contacted Dave Smith on a Wednesday morning regarding trading in my truck for a bigger vehicle; due to my family getting bigger; and he called me back that afternoon/ early evening with one in mind. We went up on Thursday to look at the vehicle and fell in love with it! We went over paperwork and all the terms and he made so we could pick it up the next day (Friday). I am very impressed with the friendliness of service and the atmosphere that the new building has brought to the dealership. We have bought a total of 8 vehicles from Burritts in the past 9 years and I will keep continuing to buy there until I can't drive anymore. If more dealerships would take the approach that Dave Smith does with his customers then everybody would be happier when buying a new car or truck! Thanks again Dave and Mike you have made our family happier! The Suburban is a perfect fit for our family!!!!

Our experience at Burritt Motors was wonderful. Our salesman Andrew Halsey was very friendly and accommodating. Shook our hands and made us feel very welcome. We ran into a delay when we came to get the car due to a pc glitch and he made us feel very welcome and gave us his apologies. My husband was so impressed when he took us around the area and showed us the building when I come back for oil changes and then when the owner shook our hands and thanked us for our business that topped it all. He just bought a car from another dealership and he said they have a thing or two to learn from Burritt. I was looking for a plow truck that was on the small economy side.Burritts had such a vehicle that fit what I needed,but I thought the price was way to high even at sale price.I went back and forth with the salesperson for a period of about 2 weeks.The price was reduced.I was happy and the dealership sold the vehicle.So far all is well.

Just an average review here, nothing too negative, you decide when you get there. I started shopping around for a used truck, saw one they had, I was contacted by Andrew Halsey, very nice gentleman, professional in appearance and attitude. When I arrived he was bringing truck up from the backlot, he greeted me, we proceeded to view the truck and he commented it needed to be cleaned, etc... I end this review with these comments... if your gonna sell something make sure its cleaned up, and whatever else that needs to be fixed, replaced or installed is done. This truck could have been sold before I got there if it had new tires, fuel door replaced, washed waxed & put in front of dealership for more exposure. I decided not buy due to other reasons not worthy of noting here. Yes I recommend this dealer.

Andrew handled all of my needs. Burritt was the only dealership that understood that I could not drive there before talking about price. The dealership was over 1.5 hours away and I did not want to waste my time if we could not come to an agreement about price. Don't return calls, don't fix problems,don't return emails,don't care about your time or hassles. Second rate business practices and sophomoric responses. Once you finally get anyone responsible to speak with you, its all lip service and no action. Anything to get you off the phone or away from them and then no action or follow up. Terrible from start to finish. Can not repair simple items or comply with simple requests such as which number to call you back at. Managers hide behind salesmen and no one takes responsibility for wrong doings. A bunch of jokers and scammers. Won't be back even if they were giving cars away. Not worth the hassle and romper room antics.

I was looking to trade my 2010 camaro in and was looking around the internet for deals. I was looking for a chevy traverse, used with low miles. I am in syracuse, ny so i looked locally first. I visited bill rapp pontiac, where they took my car for a ride. They came back with an offer, the offer was very low. I asked the sales person, lets talk about what we can do here to get a sale. His answer was the manager took it for a ride and thats all he is going to give and commented on my way out to put some gas in my car. NEVER again would i even consider this place to buy a car or even let anyone i know buy from this place. I had 2 more options that i was looking at and already had been talking to andrew over the phone. Without even looking at my car, the offer was better than bill rapp and he reminded me that anything is possible, come in and let's talk. I drove the 1/2 to oswego hoping not to have wasted my time again. WOW!! What a difference, andrew not only got me what i wanted for my car, but he never said NO. I drove away that day with a new traverse and very happy with the service and all the people. I would recommend burrit motors to anyone looking to buy a car. Went to Burritt Motors in Oswego to look at new Silverado Extended Cab Trucks. Was greeted at the door by the receptionist and she immediately show me to Andrew Halsey's desk. He was very polite and professional . First he checked out ALL the incentives that were available for me. I showed him the truck I was interested in but it had been sold. To my surprise he found another truck that they had in stock and asked if I would be interested in it. It actually had options that I would have added any way .I drove it and decided to buy it. I then went to finance and he came up with a much better interest rate than I had from my own bank. Then we were talking and they asked if I had anything to trade in. I had pictures of my 2006 Silverado on my wife's Ipad and they were interested in taking it in on trade and we agreed on a fair price. I would highly recommend Burritt Motors in Oswego to anyone if they are looking for a new or used vehicle. Andrew is a new sales person I believe in training. He was very courteous and responsive to my needs and concerns. I believe he was being overseen by Jim who is also very responsive to customer concerns. As always a dealer is going to try and get the most money possible from a customer and the customer is always going to try and get the best possible purchase price. I believe we met a happy medium in terms of the combination of purchase price of new car and trade in value of my car. I think I might have been able to get a slightly lower total cost price by going to Syracuse but I felt Andrew was doing his best as a new sales person and he was also responsive to my concerns about the delivery "shine" on my new car. There were a couple of spots that needed to be "buffed" after I gave the car a close inspection. In all I would highly recommend Andrew as someone to deal with. He appears to be a highly motivated and dedicated young man willing to do the best he possibly can for the customer. I do know that it is not the salesperson's decision as to the settled price for the new/trade in value combination.So the "good" rating rather than great rating on the purchase price should be attached to the owner of the company Rich rather than to Andrew.

Very professional, accommodating, courteous staff. Very enjoyable buying experience from the initial search for the vehicle with the options requested to signing the final paperwork. No suprises, everything was just as I was told it would be. The deal was actually completed over the phone with the only caveat being my approval of the vehicle after test driving. This was not the typical how much do want to spend a month routine and then having the dealer run the prices up until they get you there. I had been doing research and knew what vehilces were going for and had a pretty good idea what invoice prices were. Larry Johnson at Burritt Motors was our sales contact and he took good care of us. No haggling back and forth, just a cut to the chase reasonable purchase price. Let's face it, the dealers are there to make money, but usaully I feel they are trying to make the year's profit on me. Not the case at Burritt Motors. Larry Johnson was a pleasure to deal with and made purchasing my vehicle an enjoyable and exciting experience. I have found my new dealership.

We have shopped at this dealership many times in the past for vehicles and have been very satisfied. The last vehicle we bought from there was during the construction and it was very awkward to purchase the vehicle. The latest vehicle was a 2013 Traverse and we finally got to see the new building and loved it. We haven't shopped Burritt for all these years due to the fanciness of their buildings or even for the pretty flowers, they have what every other dealership doesn't have. The have customer service that you can't find anywhere. I've spent years in the military and I've been to dealerships all over the country but I have got to say I will always buy my vehicles at Burritts just because of Rich and Dave because of the way they make customers feel. Our opinion is Larry is your best sales rep and when we look for another vehicle we want to continue to work with Larry. i am very pleased with the purchase of the truck i bought at burritt the staff was very helpful.the waiting room is great family orriented a very nice employee offered my 19 month old a snack.we were sat down and explained everything and all questions answered.when we would call our calls were returned in a timley fashion.instead of making us wait for a certain employee if they were busy another would assist us.i was given a nice tote bag when i left and was very warmly thanked and asked before i left if i had any other questions and told not to hesitate to contact them if need be.

Bought used 2009 Subaru Forester. Came from NYC to Oswego because the dealership seemed to have a good rating and the sales person (Anita) was very nice and helpful. I check the car out and it seemed to be in rougher condition than what was listed and what I was told. The interior wasn't in top condition and I wasn't told about a small rust spot and a dent in the side. As an internet customer I need as much information (good or bad) before I make the 5.5 hour trip up. I had to ask for the air filters to be changed and when I checked the fluids the coolant was low. It's obvious that they just want to flip used cars without really taking care of them first. It would be nice if they would automatically change the wipers, top off all fluids...and most importantly make sure the vehicle is sound. Only thing they did do without asking was change the oil.After the sale is when all niceties stopped. On the way back to NYC I felt something in the front end, took it directly to my families auto mechanic and turns out the front struts are leaking...something that should had been apparent to their mechanics and then fixed. I tried in vein to get something resolved with the dealership for 2 weeks. Phone calls go directly to voicemail. Emails do not get answered. I sent emails to Jim and Rich with no reply. The 2 phone calls I did get but missed I returned promptly to only get voicemail again...and with no follow up.Not sure about these other ratings, but it was not my experience. I would not recommend this dealership at all. The professionalism and customer care stops right after you put your name on the line.

I did a great deal of research to find the "perfect" used car at a good price. Using the internet service I set my heart on a Dodge Charger.Mr. Congdon was attentive and helpful and what appeared to be very honest....not the stereo type car sales rep. His attentiveness to detail and overall professionalism was above and beyond!Bob Galloway was a pure delight! As I had been preapproved for financing I expected no great deals on rates but Mr Galloway found me a better rate! Due to the fact I had traveled almost 2 hours I was hoping to bring the car home with me....and Rob made it happen. My wait was acceptable and entertaining to say the least by Mr Galloway. He is a huge attribute to the business.The only true down time I experienced was about ten minutes of which(although I didnt catch her name) I was in an extrememly nice conversation with the Receptionist at the front desk. She waas a delight.From the minute I walked into the beautiful new facility to the moment I drove away the entire experience was above reproach.Thanks to all I encountered and keep up the good work!

Although our visit was a very stressful one we feel the Rich really did his best to get the job done.I had a great feeling about him from the first phone call we had. We had numerous changes due to the incentives we were offered changed on the first of February. The price of the truck changed 3 times. We had to go from the Chevy Silverado 1500 LT to the LS our credit history is a big factory so it was a push to get us approved for a price we could afford and we do realize that things happen. When my husband arrived to pick up the car being told everything was fine and we were all set to go the bank called and required a copy of a W2 leaving my husband sitting stranded at the dealership not knowing if he was getting the truck or not. I in turn had to leave work to get a copy of our W2 and email it to Rich. My husband sat for 3 hours stressed out. He knows this was in-part the banks fault and not the dealership its self but it was extremely stressful and embarrassing none the less. I really like Rich and would recommend him again he really seems to care about the people he works with. This experience although happy with the end results and love our new truck has left a bad taste in our mouth we aren't soon to forget.

I had a 5pm appointment set up to test drive a used SUV at this dealership. When I arrived, the salesman was on the phone with another customer so I had to wait. 15 minutes later, the salesman met with me briefly and stated that he would pull the vehicle to the front of the building so I could see it and take it for a drive. Ten minutes later, he returned and informed me that the vehicle was out of gas and had a dead battery. At this time, I had been there on site for 25 minutes and still had not seen the vehicle. He asked me if I wanted to go out back and look at the vehicle with a flashlight. Really? We venture out back and he hands me a smartphone with a flashlight ap. I check out a few things on the vehicle. Inside passenger door mechanism was broken and front fiberglass bumper was cracked. At this time, I asked if the vehicle was a single owner trade in. The salesman informed me that it was, and that the prior owner had traded in the vehicle on a truck. We then returned to his office. When we got to his office, I asked for the carfax report. As he scrolled down the screen, I noticed something wasn't adding up. It showed that the car was purchased by Burritts from Syracuse Auto Auction, and had been a former lease. I thought you said it was a single owner trade? After that, the salesman became persistent at trying to get me to shake on a purchase deal which I quickly said "I don't think so, I havent even driven it." He assured me that I could come back in the morning and drive it and that a different salesman would be able to help me. After thinking better of it, I decided not to return and to no surprise did not receive a follow up phone call from anybody at the dealership regarding my experience there that evening. I would not recommend this dealership.

My daughter and I needed to replace our car and truck. We wanted to work with a local dealer as it helps the local economy. I had dealt with Jim ,in the past, when buying a a car for my younger daughter and he had been very helpful. My older daughter lives in Washington D.C. Her car was totaled just before Christmas and a replacement was needed before her vacation ended.Jim arranged all the paperwork involved in transffering the car So my daughter could drive it back to D.C.In my case, I was in desperate need of a replacement truck. Motovy Deals is a web sight, that displays Corvettes in the 150mile radius of Ithaca, NY. Burritt Motors placed a 2006 Vet on their Web that I was very interested in. I called Burritt Motors to see if the car was still available and it was. Upon arriving, Larry Johnson greeted us and brought the Vet around for out inspection. I asked if it was possible to take it for a test drive with a fellow mechanic friend of mine; Larry was very open to us about taking the car, gave us some quick instructions as to where to go and we were off. Larry was just great, no pressure in selling the car, we stayed in touch, we bargained and agreed on a price that I could live with. I was extremely pleased with the quick response to the internet inquiry I did for my vehicle, in addition, Anita was very accommodating to my schedule. When I visited the site to view the vehicle that I was interested in, Anita did everything she could to make the experience a worthwhile and enjoyable one as I had driven approximately 60 miles to the visit. Between Anita and Rich the deal that was offered to me was one that I truly believe could not have been beat by any other dealer. When I returned to pick the vehicle up, everything was tip top and I had a very short wait time until I was able to drive away in a vehicle that had been fully serviced and cleaned and an outstanding value. I was extremely pleased with the quick response to the internet inquiry I did for my vehicle, in addition, Anita was very accommodating to my schedule. When I visited the site to view the vehicle that I was interested in, Anita did everything she could to make the experience a worthwhile and enjoyable one as I had driven approximately 60 miles to the visit. Between Anita and Rich the deal that was offered to me was one that I truly believe could not have been beat by any other dealer. When I returned to pick the vehicle up, everything was tip top and I had a very short wait time until I was able to drive away in a vehicle that had been fully serviced and cleaned and an outstanding value. Over the years I have dealt with a couple dealerships and I have to say you guys are doing things right! I originally came to Burritt a couple years ago to have some warranty work done on my Silverado. I was very impressed by the service department and the overall feel of the dealership. I was not please to drive 4 hours to wait half an hour to fill out paperwork. Anita seemed to be the only one working Friday night. I can understand the sales person I talked to being busy, but there should be other sales representatives available, so three customers trying to buy cars aren't all trying to use the same agent. The price was great but I wasn't very happy that the dealership wasn't willing to come down the 2% I was asking, to make it an even purchase price. When I called the first time and said that I wanted my payment to be about $200 there didn't seem to be any desire to sell the truck to me. After many calls I was able to work something out, but please take in all the information to make the sale the first time. I continued to look after my initial call, had I found something I would have purchased elsewhere, due to not being locked in on the first call. On a high note I left my garage door opener in my trade and they quickly mailed it back to me.

The service was great. We worked with Rob and he was helpful and knowledgeable. We ended up buying and taking home our Toyota Prius the same day. While we got a great deal on the car, and the car was otherwise in great condition, the inside of the car left much to be desired. It was filthy!!! Dirty seats, coffee stains around the cup holders, grime on the controls. And the smell was like a man worked all day and threw his dirty work boots in the back. It took us over an hour of scrubbing with armorall cleaning wipes and fabric cleaner to get everything in decent condition, and of course a solid air freshener. This is the biggest way they could make more money on their cars......detail them!!!

A previous review I had done mentioned how filthy the used vehicle was when I picked it up. I would like to add to that my experience getting my trade in paid off. Burritt Motors takes 20 days to make a payoff, so plan accordingly when arranging a payoff balance. In my case, they sent the payoff to an incorrect credit union - one I had never dealt with. After I received a bill for the vehicle that I traded in, I began to investigate the situation. The salesman assured me payment was made on a particular day. Days later with no sign of the payment, my wife spoke to the salesman and he assured her payment was made on a different day. When she attempted to find out which day was the truth, he hung up on her. It turns out the money was sent to the wrong place. After many phone calls, 27 days after the purchase of a vehicle, our trade in was finally paid off. Be careful, watch carefully.

And im not talking about a couple hundred bucks im talking thousands aprox 2-3000 do be exact. what an amazing difference also the car I bought from them was 2012 Chrysler 200 lx which they sold to me well bellow book and it only had 6,000 miles on it. the only thing even remotely negative thing i can say is i did have a past experience with the service dept. that i was very unhappy with and ended paying out of my pocket for something i didnt even know was gonna cost me a dime. Con: I purchased a used vehicle, and was told the vehicle would be "detailed" and ready for pick up. We made an agreement to purchase it on a Friday, with pick up scheduled for the following Thursday. When I picked it up on the scheduled day, I was in a hurry to bring the vehicle home to show my wife. When I got home and showed it to her, she asked why the interior was so filthy. There were fingerprint stains on the visors, chocolate crushed into the seat, filth caked on the vinyl accessories, stains on the headliner. The center console, when opened, was terrible filthy. She folded the rear seats down to find food stuck in the seats. It was not worth the hour drive to go back to Oswego to have them detail it. They had 6 days and this was the best they could do. So I got a bottle of oxy clean and a bottle of armor all and now the vehicle looks brand new. I would recommend that you specifically request that any used vehicle that you purchase here be cleaned, and ask the salesman to inspect the cleaning before you pick it up. Also, on the way home, the low tire pressure indicator came on. Two of the tires were low and I had to stop and put air into the tires. This should have been checked before I picked up the vehicle. Plus: There was a mistake in the finance area. My credit card was mistakenly charged, and when I called it to their attention, they reversed the charge immediately.

First i want to say Dave Smith is the best salesman in the business. Would work with him again in a heartbeat. Honest as the day is long. The truck was a nightmare. Not only for me but them as well. 3 days after purchase it broke the flywheel. Took it back and they replaced it ( with a used one ). A few weeks later it broke another flywheel. I purchased a heavy duty one myself that they installed. A month or so later it broke again. After many weeks and heated discussions they decided to send it out to a transmission shop. I was driving a loaner truck for quite a while while they tried to figure out what to do. The transmission shop told them he rebuilt the tranny and it was good to go. Drove it to work and it was " banging" into gear and broke down on the thruway. 2 days later, back to the shop where the truck sat for a few weeks while they tried to decide what to do, and i was back in a loaner. We had another heated discussion and even tried to put me in a different truck (my request). Numbers did not work so they agreed to send it to my transmission guy. 4 days later, many thousands of dollars out of their pocket, and a lot of aggravation for all involved, i got my truck back and it finally drove perfect almost 9 months after purchase. Dealer stood behind the product when many would have said "hey you bought used. What do you want us to do"? Yes that was said during the heat of the battle but we all were very frustrated. Quality shop in my book. Thanks to Dave, Chris, and Rich for doing the right thing.

They handled themselves very well despite working out of trailers due to construction on their building. I was able to buy the exact truck I came in to test drive at the price I wanted without needing to do any haggling. The specific truck I wanted was rare and took months to find it "locally" for a non-inflated price. Everything was ready when they said they would be ready. All the work they said they were going to do to the truck was done, and done properly. They even got me a better interest rate at my bank than I did. Due to it being vacation season I was passed around to different but my primary salesman, Jason Laundre, and everyone I dealt with were professional and not pushy in the least. We will consider Burritt first when our next vehicle is ready to be replaced, despite being 40 miles away.

First of all I would like to say that the car buying experience was okay. Larry was good salesman, very friendly and seemed to work with you to get a deal done. There was no pressure to buy, he let you test drive and if the numbers work then the deal would go through.Here is the major reason why I considered this dealership to be a bad place to do business. I was approved for financing at my credit union prior to the sale. However, they had talked me into allowing them to try to beat their rate, and they did, by 1.5%. Sounds good right? The problem is that they asked me for a 10 day payoff on my current loan as I was trading that vehicle in. The deal went through, and other than having to return to the dealership the next day to clear the check engine light, everything else seemed to be good.....until 16 days later, and my loan through Auburn Community federal credit union was still not paid off. I tried calling and emailing to find out what was going on and the person who was in charge was "off this week." I called my credit union to see if they had received a payment and they said no. They called and after getting bounced around to 3 different people and demanding to speak to a live person did they find out the check MAY HAVE been sent this week.So for 2 weeks now, and after making 2 bi-weekly payments, and over $100 of interest on a vehicle that I traded in 16 days ago, I still don't know for sure if a check was sent out, or even cut. I believe that the day I signed the title over to them, they bought the vehicle and the check should have been cut the same day. Drop it in the mail the next day, and with my credit union only being about 30 miles away from the dealership, it should have been paid off the same week. Lets say I didn't finance and I paid cash, would that mean I could drive off the lot with a new vehicle and say "oh well I'll be back in sometime this month with a check to pay for it?!" I don't think so.

Buying a new car was never a fun thing to do, with all the games and high pressure sales people. However my experience at Burritt was wonderful. I test drove four different cars and not once was I pressured By Kelvin to buy. He stayed in touch with me via email and informed me of different vehicles for sale. It was such a pleasure to be able to go in, test drive a car and leave without hearing the standard "whats is going to take to put you into this car today?" The prices at Burritt are priced to sell, there is no haggling over the price since they set their price so low there isnt much to haggle over. They give you a very fair trade in for your present car and their cars sell so fast I even missed out on a few that I was interested in. I cannot say enough about this dealership and the positive experience I had and I would recommend it highly. Kelvin was professional, very knowledgeable able the cars and a pleasure to work with.

I bought a certified used 2011 Chevrolet Impala that was previously a rental. I got a great price on it, one of the lowest prices around which is why I went to their dealer first and I live in Oswego so that was another plus. The buying experience was great Larry Johnson was the salesman I had dealt with and he was great through the whole process as well as Mike DeForge who got me a great interest rate. Overall my buying experience was great and the one oil change I have had done so far there was done well and in a reasonable amount of time. I plan on doing buisness with them again in the future.

I would say that my experience was mostly great. Larry was wonderful as was most everyone else. Larry was personable, and very helpful. He should be the mold that other car sales consultants are made from. Rob Galloway was able to secure an excellent loan, and I appreciate that. However, he was unprofessional at times. He suggested that I take out his loan and then refinance right away just so he would make the dealership more money. I understand it may be a difficult job, but please do not tell me how hard you worked for me or use guilt as negotiating tool. That part put me off. I bet if I paid 100% cash for the vehicle he would try to convince me to take a loan out and pay it back the first month just so he could make some money. That is exactly the same logic that lead to our recent financial debacle. I have good credit for a reason; I try not to do stupid things with my money. I would use this dealership again and recommend it to a friend. "Go see Larry."

Dave was very helpful when we first went to Burritt Motors to determine which vehicle would best meet our needs. We wanted to look at both the Traverse and Enclave as we plan to use the vehicle for day to day trips to work, but more importantly to travel to visit our adult children who live several states away in most cases. Dave made sure both vehicles were available for my husband and me to road test, and that made our selection easier, deciding on the Enclave for it's quiet ride and interior luxury, as well as the stylish looks on the outside.We ordered a new vehicle, it came in very quickly, and both Mike DeForge and Dave worked very hard to arrange the financing of the vehicle to our best advantage, and get the Enclave delivered to us very quickly. I live in Syracuse, so Larry advised me throught the whole car buying process. I used the web site to look and learn about available and e-mailed my 4 potentials to Larry. I met with him on a Friday afternoon, my most convenient time. Larry and I discussed my 4 potentials and negated two. By this I mean he took time to have a conversation about my car-needs and taste. From the two, Larry advised me about the value of GM certification so I test drove the Chevy Colbalt. I liked the car and from that point Larry took care of every known purchase detail for me. I was absolutely sure I was getting the best deal possible!! The financial/loan consultant was excellent and got me a lower interest rate than expected. So much so, I was able to purchase the extended waranty. When I came back on Monday to pick up, I recieved the same great care as I did when making the purchase and I drove off in a car I love. Our growing family purchased a 2010 Dodge Grand Caravan from Burritt Motors. During the test drive, there was noticeable noise from the rear brakes. I made the purchase contingent upon that problem being addressed. The problem has been looked at 3 times since the test drive. After the final visit as a result of turning the rotor, it has quieted a bit, but the problem is not gone and still reoccurs. In the end, I'm going to say it's a bad pad or rotor they didn't replace. I'm not going to waste any more time on it, and will fix it myself when the weather gets better.Now this next issue gets to me a bit more than the bad brake work. I was told with our sales agreement my truck would be paid off immediately with the amount from the trade in. I bought the vehicle on February 7th. It is March 5th, my credit union still has a balance on the loan for my former vehicle. I was told after initially checking 2 weeks after the purchase it could take up to 20 days. Fine. It's 27 days. Not fine. It's the small things that mean a lot. The small things were not addressed. And no one has really reached out or even apologized for any of this. I received 3 automated "Thank you" emails and that was the extent of the niceties. I think word of mouth is everything, and I really wanted this to be a good business relationship I could tell others about. Sadly not the case, and in fact quite the opposite.

Went to Burritts with the mindset I wanted to get a new vehicle but was in no hurry to get one. Once there I was met by salesman Dave Smith who had me signing the paperwork in less than an hour. Dave and I talked about the Chevy Cruz and I determined it fit my needs. Dave was extremely helpful, knowledgable and above all - people friendly which made my decision to buy a new Cruz an easy one. My husband and I communicated on-line with Jim (internet manager) and he wanted us to come in and talk with him. We made an appointment and had to wait approximately 20 minutes for him to get to us (frankly, we didn't care who we spoke with). Jim showed us a truck that we were not interested in at which point my husband told Jim exactly what we were looking for and the amount we wanted to spend. When we left, Jim said that he would find us a truck and that he would be in touch, perhaps as soon as the next day. We NEVER heard from him again (this was almost 2 months ago). The following weekend, we went to East Syracuse Chevrolet and bought a 2007 Chevy Silverado from a very courteous salesman and are VERY satisfied. We wanted to keep our money within the county we lived, but this was impossible with the level of salesmanship that is available.

We recently purchased a 2012 Chevy Equinox from Burritt Motors and are completely satisfied with our purchase and the whole process. We worked with Kelvin Sims and he was great. We initialy contacted him via email and he was always prompt and knowledgeable with his responses. When we went into the dealership to meet with him we were equally impressed. In the past we have not liked the hassle and pressure sales of past car dealerships and were not looking forward to the process, but this time we were pleasantly surprised.Kelvin was very helpful and located the car we wanted and worked to get it for us at a price we were very happy with. Even the negotiation of our trade in value was hassle free and we feel we were treated fairly. We worked with Mike DeForge on the financing aspect of the purchase and he was able to secure an even lower interest rate than we were able to get at our own bank. When we picked our new car up Kelvin went through the whole car with us and went over all the features,such as OnStar, and how they work.We highly recommend Burritt Motors if you are looking for a new or used vehicle and particulary recommend Kelvin Sims. We will certainly go back to Burritt's when it is time to replace our other vehicle.

I had a wonderful experience at The Burritt Motors dealership. I was amazed how easy they made buying a car was. I had been looking for about 3 months. The salesman I dealt with was Larry Johnson. He asked me "what is it that has stopped you from purchasing a vehicle so far?" I answered, "I don't no". Well, I know the answer to that question now! "I should have gone to Burritts sooner!" He didn't just sell me a car, he sold me a car that was right for me. Everything Larry Johnson said he would do, he did! He made sure I was completely happy with the car inside and out. He treated me with honesty, kindness and respect. They were able to get me an awesome finance rate. I have not one negative thing to say. I never liked car shopping, but I have a different opinion now. I would not hessitate to recommend Burritt Motors and Larry Johnson to ANYONE!

Customer services was good. It would have been better if when I called people were a bit more available. Usually they were on the line with someone else, which is understandable. Quality of work was good. The only thing on the car that I had a problem with and needed to be replaced is the cowl underneath the front bumper because it was broke and hanging down. We discussed it and it is going to be replaced. Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful. Overall experience was great, I would definitely purchase another car from Burritts. I got the car for a great price with GM Certification, exactly what I wanted. Thanks!

I saw a vehicle on Burritt's Website while I was searching for a used Jeep and filled out an online application. The following morning, Kelvin Sims called me and we set up a meeting for that afternoon when I got off of work. The red Jeep that I saw had already been sold (the new owners actually drove it off the lot while I was there) but Kelvin told me that there was another Jeep Compass Sport just like it, same year and with 3000 less miles. I liked the color even better. I test drove the vehicle while they took a look at my Ford Mustang that I would be trading in. I loved the car! It handled great, looked great and was a 4 wheel drive, which I was looking for. Kelvin went over all the details with me, answered my questions and I told him I would think it over, and be in touch. He was very friendly and courteous. When I got home, I had a couple more questions come to mind, and called to talk to him. I reached Rob Galloway who told me Kelvin was with another customer, and he asked if he could help me. He also was very pleasant and answered my questions, and invited me in the following day to work out the financing. We agreed that I would come in the next day after work to discuss the sale...and I decided that I did want to purchase the Jeep. Everything went very smoothly and I was able to drive it home that day! Kelvin even moved the 70 pound sandbags that were in my old car for me! I love the vehicle and am very pleased with the entire transaction. The only thing that was a minor disappointment was that the car does not have cruise control, which was my fault, as I didn't even think about before I purchased it. The two gentlemen are aces in my book! And since I work right across the road from the dealership, having regular maintenance done will be a breeze!

Dave was extremely helpful and patient in helping us to find a vehicle that very much suited our needs as a family and personal tastes. We actually visited the car showroom several times over a 5 month period in an effort to find just the right vehicle for us and he never acted like we were wasting his time. Again, he was very patient and never high-pressured us into a decision. Once the decision was made to purchase a vehicle, he was helpful and thorough with the lengthy paperwork process, making sure to explain what everything meant. He never acted as though our questions were frivolous or time-consuming. Dave had a very nice demeanor and even possessed the ability to act objective about a vehicle's relative strengths and weaknesses, and how these might benefit our needs. My wife and I couldn't be more pleased with how the whole experience with Burritt Motors in general, and Dave Smith in particular, played out. Right now we think we have an outstanding vehicle and anticipate having an excellent service experience with them.

I started my car search on the internet. I found a car that I was interested in looking at and sent a message to Burritt. I was contacted by Jim Congdon and made an appointment to meet him. I traveled from North Syracuse to Qswego to find that the vehicle I had in mind was sold. Jim then showed me a 2005 Trailblazer that I test drove and decided to purchase. A week later my wife and I went back to Oswego to pick up the vehicle. The window switch had been repaired, the new tires I requested were installed. We sat down to do some final paper work and in no time we were on the road back home. I was concerned with buying a vehicle so far from home but Jim was very good to work with, each concern was answered, and met my every expectation.

Was helping my daughter pick out her first "new" car and she wasn't sure what she wanted. The back and forth of the sales person, dealing with someone that didn't know the product they were selling, and the feeling like I came out on the short end of the deal always bothered me. That was until I met Jim. My experience with Jim was GREAT. He knew the product and spent the time with my wife and I to go over all the details. There was no back and forth. I set an appointment to look at a car and called that morning to confirm. When I arrived at the scheduled time, I waited 35 minutes while the salesperson tried to find the car. It had apparently been loaned out and not returned the previous evening. So I looked around and wound up purchasing another car. Before I left, I told the salesman that the battery needed to be changed in the key, he promised this would be no problem and would be fixed. When I picked up the car, that was not fixed. I had to stop for gas because I did not have enough to get to my home- 15 miles away. Upon closer inspection we found: hair, ferry passes, headphones, gaming accessories, business cards and food wrappers in the car. Also, the business office asked for the wrong paperwork so we needed to submit proof of address 3 times over the course of as many weeks. This was after they added they messed up both my insurance and registration- costing me a whole morning at the DMV and insurance offices the week after purchase. I emailed to let them know about all this, and asked what could be done to put it right. No response. I called twice, the second time I left a message containing all of the above information with a representative. I never got a call back. Customer service should be a top priority, but clearly these guys will do anything to just shove a car off the lot and forget about you.

We found three vehicles we were interested in purchasing from their website. Granted, we did not have an appointment, but we drove 40 minutes to take a look and see about a purchase. When we arrived, we looked around for awhile, which was ok, before someone asked if we needed help. We did need help and stepped into the showroom. The person who brought us in asked for someone to help us - no one said anything, no one offered to help, they looked away and left us feeling like a bother. I'm sure they were busy, but a simple "I'd be glad to help you in a minute, here's what you can do in the meantime" anything would have helped. Went out and looked at the cars in the back and then left without anyone helping us.Burritt Motors contacted me after the dealer rating and offered to provide gas for a return trip and the best deal they could offer. It was a kind offer.

As soon as I walked in the door I was greeted by several of the staff at Burritt Motors. No one was pushy or rude when I needed to think about leasing my vehicle. I was given a great trade-in price for my old vehicle. Jim, Rich, Rob, and Mike all worked to get me approved and to keep my payments close to what I was paying for my old car. When I was able to pick up my new car, Jim went over every inch and answered all questions. He helped me sync my car up to my phone so I had bluetooth. He knew everything about the car. Jim helped set up my free onstar service, took care of my insurance company, took the plates off my old car, and even filled up my gas tank!Rob, Mike, and Rich all worked as hard as possible to get me a great deal on my new car. As busy as they were they never pushed me aside to answer a phone call or seemed upset when they had to change numbers. Mike got my kids coloring books and puzzles while I was getting approved. Rich even offered to watch my kids while I took a test drive!!I couldn't have asked for a better experience!! I will never get another car from anyone else!!!!

As soon as I approached the customer service desk, Bill Novak remembered me by name. I was at Burritts to have service done on my Impala. While waiting for the work to be completed I wondered out to look at the used vehicles. I spotted a few Equinox models, but really didn't think of buying at that time. A salesman, Kelvin Sims, walked up to me to see if I had any questions. I told him the circumstance as to why I was there and added that buying this particular model was in the back of my mind. He was very knowledgeable and friendly. My feelings were that I simply couldn't afford to trade at this time. Without hesitation, Kelvin brought me to his office and took the time to figure everything in to give me a price I could afford. All of his efforts made me feel "special." With Kelvin working together with Rich Burritt, they had just made my day! The price was in my range and that was a big plus for me. I then worked with Jim Congdon to get the paperwork in motion. Jim wasvery helpful in explaining what would be happening etc. Jim also set me up with the On Star program. Next I met with Mike DeForge to set up the financial package. Mike was also very helpful and polite. I feel I received the best possible customer service at Burritt Motors.
