Unlike my husband, purchasing a car is not my idea of a good time. Quite the contrary, I find it stressful and unnecessarily tedious. Those conclusions were drawn prior to my most recent experience at Byers Imports with the very affable and knowledgeable JIM HEDGES. Simply put, Jim is an incredible sales associate. He was tremendously knowledgeable about the car and quite deft at reading the customer namely me. I arrived knowing what I wanted, and he respected that fact as well as my time. He quickly organized my test drive, and I was off in my lovely little white Volkswagen Beetle convertible: Her name is Ginger. The back-and-forth negotiation was concluded quite quickly, and Jim was a pro from start to finish patient, passionate about his craft, and personable. To be honest, I owned a 2002 Passat and swore that I would never own another Volkswagen: It was the worst car I have ever owned. That said, Jim inspired my confidence in the brand and the companys dedication to standing behind its product. Certainly, this quelled my trepidation, and, now Ginger and I are getting along just fabulously. Allow me to close with this vignette: During a recent organizational culture training course, the instructor said, Please stand if you have ever purchased a car. Everyone in the class stood up. Please remaining standing if you would buy the same car. About half of the class sat down, including me. Remain standing if you would return to the same dealership. Again, several sat down. Remain standing if you would return to the same sales associate. By this time, only a handful of attendees were left standing. If I had been asked this series of questions after my recent car purchase with Jim Hedges, I would have been among those standing once the final question had been asked. He was outstanding, and I will definitely be keeping his information in my contacts.

Purchased a 2016 VW from Byers VW. Was really, really fortunate to have Lonnie Tibbs assist with my purchase. Unfortunately in the 30 years I have been driving I have bought 10-15 cars (it's an addiction); I have purchased cars at the multiple Columbus area dealers. I went to Byers only based on they had the car I was interested in. I am glad I landed there. This was the most honest, transparent, easiest car purchase I have ever made. Adding to my satisfaction, the Finance guy (Jonathan) did not do any of the high pressure sell of warranties, protection plans etc. He very politely accepted no the first time! I will absolutely plan to buy my next car from Lonnie. In addition to being easy to work with he demonstrates a great deal of knowledge of a broad range of manufacturers, he is one of those guys who truly is into cars, working at the dealership is not just a job, he likes what he does and takes a thoughtful approach to being good at his job. A+, 100%, two thumbs up......

I went to Byers Volkswagen wanting to possibly purchase a Jetta. I was met on the lot by Lonnie Tibbs. He was very professional and had an extensive knowledge of his products. He quickly assessed my needs and gave me the information I was asking for. I was shown a few models used and new. Options were plentiful and I quickly thought this is what I'm in the market for. I ended up leasing the 2016 Jetta Sport model with many more options than I ever thought I could afford. Lonnie did an exceptional job presenting all the options to make the sale. I went planning to drive the Tiguan and chat a little with Lonnie and Matt. Needless to say I came home with my new Tiguan. Lonnie is very professional, fair and great at explaining where his thoughts are in the process. I'm sure I made his life miserable but he remained patient throughout the whole process. I have purchased & leased 7 vehicles from Byers over the past several decades, with 3 VW SUVs in the past 10 years. This past week I traded in a perfectly good leased 2W Drive Tiguan S for an All Wheel Drive Tiguan SE, which I wanted for inclement wet and winter weather. I took advantage of a VW incentive and with Lonnie (sales) and Matt (finance) worked out a new lease quickly and within terms I required. Both were extremely helpful and courteous. I was in the vehicle shortly thereafter. I want to add that Steve, Byers VW service manager, deals with service issues professionally and that his service department appears well-managed.

Lonnie Tibs with Byers was well prepared and quick to support the buying process. The team was ready when I arrived and the paperwork process was smooth. They even have a play area for kids, which my kids didn't want to leave. Everyone knows the process of buying a car can be time consuming and stressful. Lonnie and Byers made it easy. My only wish is that the Loyalty bonus extended to direct family memebers and that the relationship didn't have to be at the same address or household.

When I purchased my car in 2012, I knew the location was not convenient for me, but I was specifically interested to learn that I could get a loaner car when my once a year service is scheduled, so that I would be trapped at the dealership. I found out yesterday that Byers NO longer provides cars free of charge -- Byers wants $20 to rent the car. I was absolutely miserable sitting at Byers yesterday. The lobby is somewhat drab, the seats are very uncomfortable for my back and neck, the sports magazines were unattractive to me, the newspapers were outdated, there is no ice available, TV controls needed batteries, no one checked on me, no one said hello, no one offered me a shuttle. I learned "if you leave" the facility, then your car gets put on the back-burner to be completed later in the day than originally planned. I've always had problems with my car windows and when I asked about them checking it yesterday, I was told this will add more time to my appointment. I am not looking forward to next year. Very unhappy to be trapped.

I am always happy with the service I get at Byers. They always keep me updated with the progress of my service and explain everything to me thoroughly and clearly. I purchased my 2011 VW Tiguan at Byers Imports and have used them for every 10,000 mile service for all of the 80,000 miles I've had my car. I wouldn't take it anywhere else.

Having two growing children, we needed a larger vehicle to accommodate our ever changing needs. We purchased a used 2007 Passat Wagon from a non VW dealership. Not feeling comfortable with their inspection sheet, I took it to Byers Volkswagen for a second opinion. The staff put me at ease and made my visit smooth and easy. The factory certified technicians provided a comprehensive multipoint inspection, and advised me that my vehicle was in great shape. The service writer provided me with a maintenance schedule from the factory, and even a price quote for the "major" services so there would be no surprise expenses!! They even offer multiple detail packages to keep our new to us car looking good!! I was even informed of two open campaigns on my vehicle and both of them were taken care of on the spot! Needless to say, my visit to Byers Volkswagen completely changed my view and opinion of car dealers. They are in touch with their customers wants and needs, and they take great pride in their work and ability to keep people in a safe and reliable vehicle no matter if you bought it from them or not. I strongly recommend Byers Volkswagen for all of your Volkswagen needs! Thank you Byers Volkswagen!
