I bought a 2006 PT Cruiser from Cactus in 2014. I drove it off the lot and it started overheating. I called, took the car back and was told to come pick it up. The mechanic was unable to duplicate the problem. I picked it up, it was overheating, I took the car back, got a call to come get it that it was fixed. It again started overheating. I took the car back again, was told to come pick it up, it was fixed. The head gasket was blown, that was repaired 12/2014. When i bought the car initially I was also told that I was purchasing the warranty and that if my car broke down that I could take it in, pay a $100 deductible and it would be fixed. Now less than 2 years later the car is overheating, again. After replacing the thermostat, radiator cap, its still overheating. I took it to a repair shop and was told, it's once again the head gasket. I had the repair shop call the warranty since it is still "covered" and they will only cover part of it. They will not cover the diagnostic, they will not cover for it to be resurfaced if that's what it needs. This car has less than 100,000.I called cactus to find out exactly what repairs they made. I was told by their service dept that they fixed the blown head and resurfaced. They made the repairs so "I must have driven it hot and rewarped the head or who knows." This car was sold to me with a blown head and I didn't even get to drive it for 2 months after because they were repairing it. I wasn't taken seriously about the overheating until I emailed a video of the needle moving up, only then did the "the mechanic can't reproduce the problem" stop. My fault for giving them the benefit of the doubt and expecting a quality car. Now I'm stuck with a car that can't be driven and a $5400 loan to pay with no drive-able vehicle. Paid for a service plan that won't repair the car unless I pay them to tear apart the engine. They are friendly to deal with but not a quality vehicle. Buyer beware!!!

This place is the best used car dealership in Tucson!! Gary at Cactus Auto was AMAZING. He helped me get into a new car so fast I barely had time to get the paperwork together. My credit is awful and I had nothing to put down but needed a vehicle and he was able to help me out very quickly. They took my old vehicle as trade in so I didn't have to worry about money out of pocket. Gary was so nice, very knowledgeable, and efficient! Thank you for being amazing!!

eddy parra knows at a local finance company AL financial then he sends loans over there then he finds away how to finance those loan officers regardless of loan qualifications. he took my money and will not return it using it on another deal not related to mine and refuses to give my money back even though i have a singed contract with cactus auto sales .im seeking to file complaint with attorney general and BBB on this fraud.

My poor old car had been pronounced DEAD by my mechanic. He recommended I jack up the ashtray and drive a whole new car under it, so I looked in the Yellow Pages for a used car dealer. When I located Cactus Auto I called and spoke to Chris Iniguez. He invited me down to look at reliable used cars on the lot and promised me he would help me select something affordable, dependable and economic. From the moment I arrived I felt confident that he would help me find exactly what I was looking for. He asked questions to determine my needs, spent a great deal of time with me, allowed me to take the vehicle(s) off the lot for a test drive, and once I made my selection he took the time to explain various credit plans, service contracts, warranties, etc., making sure I understood all of the details. He treated me like one treats family. I felt respected.

Just bought the wife the van she has wanted for awhile from Hans. He was upfront about everything with the van and made us both feel like we made a good decision to come to him. Bad credit was not an issue here either and did not make us feel bad about it. I would go back to Cactus Auto again in a heartbeat and would work with Hans wherever he was working.Only thing I would like to see change is add pictures on the interior of the cars online.

I used their website and Autotrader to find the truck I wanted. The pictures were great and the description helpful. The pictures actually didn't do the truck justice. I liked it better in person. I stopped in, not planning to buy the truck but I wanted to check it out and maybe drive it. I met Hans and he was a great guy. Very helpful and he said "make me an offer." So I did...and they took it. I'm very happy with my purchase and it was really easy. I would go back and check them out next time I'm in the market. Thanks.

Saw the car I wanted online sent them an email and was contacted by Gary on a Friday. Went over that day and test drove the car was very friendly. Next day I called and made deposit on the car then brought the check and picked it up on Monday. Sale was simple hassle free and fairly quick. I also bought a 3 year extended warranty on the car that was about $2100 so lowering the price a few more hundred dollars after telling him I was going to get the warranty would have been nice. That and the fact the gas tank was only half full was the reason for the 4 stars instead of 5

Before I slam Cactus Auto for being xxxxxxx dealers, lets dig deeper so we have a better understanding of what is really going on. What separates a good dealer from a bad dealer? Just because you bought a car that had bad brakes, or an alternator that failed after 3 weeks doesn't mean the dealer is shady. All used car dealers get their cars from the same places. A good dealer can sell you a bad car and a bad dealer can sell you a good car. The difference between the two, which dealer is willing to help you resolve an issue if one should arise. This is where most people get confused. Calm down, stop yelling and think rationally. Most dealers in Tucson will offer one of two FREE warranty's, the state mandatory 15 day 500 mile version and if your lucky the 90 day drive-train and power-train warranty. If you buy from Cactus auto you will receive the minimum required by law. Keep this in mind when buying a car. Is the dealer willing to stand behind their product? If they don't offer a 90 day minimum warranty on the motor and transmission, they aren't willing to stand behind what they sell, Period! If your motor blows after 3 weeks, your xxxx outta luck Chuck. Find another dealer that offers more for FREE or negotiate the additional coverage into the deal. If they refuse to cover the motor and trans for at least 90 days, for FREE, walk away!! But you love the car?? Trust me, another dealer will have the same car, So you got the two week deal and your steering pump blew. Before you call the dealer, you have some responsibility to own up to. If your alternator dies after 3-4 weeks and your car is only covered by the states mandatory two week warranty, your going to be fixing it yourself. This is your responsibility, it's the risk you take when buying a used car. Remember, all used cars are ticking time bombs. You don't really expect the dealer to fix every problem that occurs with every used car do you? Think about that before you call the dealer yelling and screaming over a $50 pump. Man up and fix it Jack! But three weeks in you find out that your engine is bad!! Now you have reason to be steaming pissed!! An engine or tranny can break the bank. What does every dealer tell you when you ask them to lower the price just a tad more? Why does the dealer tell you its better to buy from them and not a private party like Craigslist? They will tell you that their car is better, their car has received a 135 point inspection, and a superb cleaning/detailing by some $2 hr immigrant. Now, If this were true, the "certified technicians" working the 135 point inspection would have noticed a serious issue with the motor or trans NO? I can tell you first hand that the technicians at Cactus auto are anything but qualified. Or, is it that the technicians tell the Manager, Xander, that there is a serious issue and he instructs them to inform you that its nothing to worry about? This is where a shady manager might start to make a name for himself as a xxxxxxx dealer. I'm not saying Xander does this, it could be brain dead mechanics.Three weeks after purchasing a car from them I had an engine on the verge of total meltdown. With a handful of evidence, I took the car back asking for some help. With the 2 week warranty expired by a week, I knew I had a snowballs chance in xxxx of getting any cooperation. I was given a pile of lies and sent on my way. I played nice and said "i'll give it a go". A few weeks later I returned with even more evidence, and again I was fed a pile of lies from not only Xander but also the incompetent mechanics. With the minimum warranty expired I had little ground to stand on. There was sufficient evidence that the engine suffered damage before I purchased the car. OK, I ask this question... Do you want to be a dealer known for selling cars with bad engines? Any qualified technician could have seen the obvious signs of a bad engine. It should never have been on the lot in the first place. Now I have a $10,000 lawn ornament. Thanx Cactus Auto!! This begs the question.... did they know? Are they committing fraud? Unfortunately, we may never know. Oh, and just to put into perspective the level of incompetence at CA, the lot attendant used a razor blade to scrape the window sticker off of a TINTED window!! Seriously, I watched him. Scratched it to xxxx. Stupid!You want to be a dealer that's held to higher standard? OK Cactus Auto, here's some advice. Increase your minimum warranty's, thus instilling confidence in your customers. Subtract your profits from a bad car and fix it, make it right. You may not profit off the car but you probably wont lose either, all you will gain is a satisfied customer who will tell the World that Cactus Auto stepped up and fixed a broken car that many other dealers would have left high and dry. People love that kind of xxxx, the "built in the USA" type of attitude, take pride in what you do Cactus guys. So, I leave you folks with this final message, is Cactus Auto a dealer of integrity or a dealer of shams and scams? You decide. I have.Thanks for reading, best of luck to you-Broke N. DownP.S. The lot had many vehicles in an array of price ranges, enough to find just what you are looking for. We dealt with Ismael as our sales agent and he really went above and beyond to help us find what we needed. But he did so in a way that didn't feel rushed, pushy, or uncomfortable in any way. We can't say much about the rest of the staff as we really only talked with Ismael but we will definitely recommend him to others and if we need another vehicle, he will be our 1 and only stop.

For these reason's every place I went to kept turning me down but thankfully Cactus Auto didn't. Bought a truck from Cactus Auto. Turns out it has bad breaks and got in an accident. The sales manager told us that all they do is a test drive, while the maintenance department told us they didn't work on or look at the breaks. They have no safety check to their vehicles. Most dealerships give 30 days 1000 miles, they give you 500 miles. The dealership is a complete rip off. The sales man was good, but the handling by the manager determines the professionalism or lack of with the company. In the rating of staff, if possible I would give a negative number for the sales manager

We purchased a 2006 Ford Explorer in January of this year through cactus auto. A month into owning it the radiator began to have a small leak in it ( a risk you take with buying a used vehicle) It was still under warranty and the team at Cactus Auto got us a new radiator and back on the road fast. They worked really well with us on our tight schedual to have it back to us in a profesional, curtious and timely manner. Cactus Auto was the last dealer we visited on Saturday 20 Feb 2016. The service we got from from Rick Granito was a complete 180 degree change from the first one we went to. At the first dealer, after taking almost ten minutes to find the keys, we were abandoned right after the agent opened the car we were interested in. After the preliminary check over we gave it, we wanted to hear it run. We stood around for about five minutes and then began to leave. As we passed the office, the agent came out and asked us if we had any questions. We told him no, but his inattention to our needs earlier just cost him a sale. Thanks to Rick, our experience was completely different. He came over, introduced himself, asked what we were looking for and then walked us around and explained cars available, pricing and financing. Other than when he had to go to the main building to check on paperwork progress, he was with us the entire time. The car we purchased was more expensive than we had planned for in our budget, but Rick made an effort to get our cost and monthly payment down.

I went in extremely skeptic because I'd always heard that used car lots were shady places. But I talked to Ismael and he helped me find a car I like, even though it took a while because I'm so picky. They got me an great deal on a 2006 Ford Focus. When the cars check engine light came on a couple weeks later, they fixed it for me at no cost and then found a better lender and restructured my deal so that I was paying even less than before! In the long run, I saved about $10,000 and got a lower interest rate than the places I looked at before Cactus Auto. Make them your first stop!

My husband and I had been looking to upgrade the family car. We live in AZ, and the a/c in our old family car had gone out, and in the scorching summer heat where we live, air conditioning is a necessity. We had decided on a budget of around 10k, and we're hoping to find a dodge magnum, but realized that we might have a hard time finding one. On our first night out car shopping, we had stopped into a branch of one of the biggest dealerships in Tucson, and were unable to find the magnum that we had hoped for, and ended up speaking to a salesperson there, who showed us multiple vehicles that were at least $10,000 out of our price range. We were frustrated and left under the impression that we would never find a quality family car within our budget. Luckily, on our next venture out car browsing, we stopped into Cactus Auto. We were delighted to find not only the Magnum that we had hoped for, but many other options that were reasonably priced within our budget. I appreciated the fact that the sales people acknowledged our presence once we arrived, but did not come on too strong, and overwhelm us with the stereotypical "car salesman pitch and helicopter hovering moves. Once we decided to take the magnum for a test drive, Hans took a copy of our licenses, and let us take her for a spin. Upon returning to the dealership, I was unsure if I wanted to pay the extra money to invest in a dodge with the hemi engine, and Hans gave me his honest opinion on the matter, along with facts and statistics on why it would be a good choice. He even showed us some YouTube videos, so I could better understand the benefits off the hemi. Once we decided to take the plunge and talk numbers for purchasing the car, Hans pulled up the Kelley blue book information. The car was already sticker prices at a fair $1000 off the kbb value, and we made an offer that was an additional $500 off of that. I will say that it did take a while to hear back from the financing department, but we were comfortable while we waited. Hans even offered my children some snacks, and allowed my son to borrow his phone charger, so the kids could play on their tablet while we waited. Once we got the okay from financing, signing the paperwork was a breeze. Hans had told us to come back with any issues, and he would help us out. Of course, me being a blonde, an issue arose the next day when I made the genius move of locking my keys in the car! My husband is on his way to the dealership right now, where Hans has arranged a deal with a local company to get us an additional chip-key made at a discounted price. Overall, Cactus Auto has a good selection, reasonable prices, a good staff, and a low pressure shopping environment. They handle issues swiftly and effectively, and are also very paitent and accomaditing to kids. After my expirerence, I would definitely recommend them to a friend. Rori Chacon

I normally hate going to car dealerships because the people that work there are so pushy, just want the sale and don't care about the customer...however my dad came to the dealership here and found a van for me and my family. They allowed my dad to take the van home to show me since I was at work and to check it out. It was really nice to be able to drive it and let the kids see it and how they like it also. We went back the following day and purchased the vehicle. Everything went very smoothly and didn't take 4 plus hours like it normally does to buy a vehicle. Rick was very polite and friendly and was able to fulfill all of our requests. (full gas tank, fix dings in windshield and some paint for touch ups) Will definitely come back here when my children need to buy their vehicles. Great experience.

I left three inquiries on Cars.com, Cactus Auto was the only one to respond. Hans Houck called me and was very helpful. I went directly to their used car lot and met with him. He listened to what I was looking for and guided me through what they had. I found a great Jeep Grand Cherokee and it was reasonably priced. Within four hours it was mine. They were very competent at doing the paperwork and Craig was very helpful in processing the title. I went to a highly rated auto repair shop to have the Jeep checked over and they said it was in great shape. Hans was very helpful every step of the way. After having bought and sold over fifty vehicles, I was very pleasantly surprised at the experience with Ismael and Cactus Auto at the end of the year. Ismael was courteous and low key but very knowledgeable. The entire process took less than an hour and a half; a record in my dealings with dealers. Most dealers run you through a gauntlet that takes up to three visits and five hours. It was also nice to meet Doug Swartz, the owner, who cheerfully gave me a $100 bonus check for buying a vehicle from them.

I filled out the online application on Thursday, and got a call back the next day. We were not able to get down to look at vehicles until Sunday. We found the one we wanted, a 2006 Ford Explorer with only 40,000 mils on it. So I went today looking at cars and not really in the mind set of buying anything when Ricky happened upon me in the lot looking at a car I couldn't really afford. He took me around showing me cars in the type that I wanted when we saw a Hyundai Tiburon. Loving the car he took me to see about financing. I have to say he did everything and more to make it happen and found time for us to get to know each other while we were getting everything worked out. It took about 4 hours to get everything into place but I left the lot today a happy guy and got 20 bucks in gas and a service contract to boot!I'll be sure and recommend him to anyone I know and be back to visit him in the future for purchases! 10/10

If you could send someone out to get you the exact car and loan that you wanted while you did nothing but sign the papers, that is the experience we had with Gary at Cactus Auto. All we did was test drive the '08 Ford Explorer 4x4 with 46,000 miles, say "we want it" and sign the papers. The whole thing took a little over 2 hours and we drove away so delighted and stress free I can't even describe how easy it was! We got the exact vehicle, at the EXACT payment, that we had decided on before we even started shopping. Our new SUV is sparkling clean inside and out, and Gary was like a kindly big brother who didn't want to put us to any trouble to get the car! But they replaced it with a truck I absolutely love at the same rate with a shorter term. The fixed everything I found wrong with the truck and did a very good job. I couldn't be more pleased.

OMG!! These guys have NEVER done us wrong!! We bought a truck at Cactus and later decided to buy a camper, well long story short the truck was not beefy enough to pull the camper. So having the truck for only 6 months we thought NO WAY are we going to be able to get a bigger truck. I've purchased two cars through Cactus. The first time I bought the extended warranty, which was a waste of 1800 bucks.This last time around they asked me to give them a check and they would deposit it on my payday. They didn't follow through on their word, and deposited the check the next day. I bounced three items, and although I called the sales rep numerous times, the dealership just blew me off. All they had to do was reimburse me a 102 dollars, and I would have been a happy customer, now I always give a disclaimer.

We looked all over town for s good used minivan that we Gould afford. We ended up at Cactus after a recommendation from a friend. They had a couple of Kia Sedonad and s couple of Dodges about ten years old. We looked over all these and then went home with the VINS and researched with Carfax and Kelley Blue Book and easily reached a fair price. We got financing fr our bank and everything worked out well. We have since driven across country towing a trailer and used the minivan for carloads of kids and it has been almost like having a brand new car. The dealership was honest and patient with no high pressure, what you see is what you get and the van has do far been totally reliable. I recommend Cactus as they were at least $2,000 cheaper than any other dealer we tried for similar vehicles and no nasty gimmicks.

Sun Tran strike really took its toll on me, pushing me to get out of the house to get into my own car. Went on Google and saw that Cactus Auto had very good reviews, so, I gave them a shot. Eddy approached me and from then on treated me like family. Eddy went out of his way to get me a car I was approved for and made it a priority to get me up and out of that lot with my own car. I felt very comfortable and I didn't feel pressured at all. Not only is my monthly price very affordable but the car itself runs great, other then the brakes needing changing, which the service center took care of. I've purchased many cars in my lifetime, and have dealt with probably 50 car salesmen in my life. Tai Williams was one of the most personable salesmen that I've ever encountered. I wasn't quite sure I wanted to purchase the vehicle I drove, and Tai invited me into his office (This is where the high pressure usually starts.) Rather than trading me off to a manager, he volunteered to print up the AutoCheck report, as well as print out a listing of the final vehicle price, including taxes dealer markup, etc. Then he left to go get the printout, and I thought "here it comes"... so I went outside to re-inspect the vehicle. Tai had returned alone, with the paperwork, and asked me to think it over and come back when I was ready to buy.

It was time to buy a third vehicle for the family and I had received a couple of recommendations from friends for Cactus Auto. I did my research ahead of time thanks to their very good website that lists all of their extensive inventory (better than most non-factory-dealer lots in town) and includes lots of pictures of each vehicle. When I arrived, I was assisted by Junior Alday. He is new to the dealership, but went out of his way to ensure that we took all the time that we needed to investigate the different options available, and any time he didn't know an answer, he made sure to check with one of the more experienced members of the sales team. We eventually found the right vehicle for our family, a 2011 Hyundai Sonata. From that point, Reg Obie made it a straightforward and simple buying experience, handling everything smoothly and even providing us with a small refund on our purchase when he realized an error on the licensing had been made. I had been scoping out my dream vehicle for about a week or so, we finally went for a couple of test drives, by the time we got to Cactus, we were thinking we had hit a dead end. I found the CR-V online with no photos, but it was well below my price range, so it deserved a look. When we got there, Cris was on his way inside and I ambushed him mid-lunch break (sorry, Cris!). He took the time to get the keys and let us test drive. The car had just been given to them a few days before, so when we noticed the A/C was acting funny, he set up a time for the next business day for us to come in to have it fixed. We were in the process of going to the bank when he called us personally to let us know the A/C issue was fixed and our car was ready. He even waited about 30 minutes past his quitting time to let us come pick up the car. I feel bad that we were such horrible customers, but very very VERY happy with the service and ease of sale. I haven't had a car in three years, and I love my new CR-V!! Thank you, Cris!!

I bought a used motorcycle from the lot on prince and took the time to fill out the paperwork and right at the very end when I was signing, the salesman came back in and said he had to tack on another $500.00 . When I asked him why , he merely said it was the credit union that was financing the deal who asked that they upped the price. I called the credit union and they said it wasn't true. I love the motorcycle and didn't want to return it even though they hustled me out of another $500.00

Found this dealership on USAA's car buying service website. Went in to look at a specific car for my 19 year old daughter. We were already pre-approved for a loan through USAA, so when she decided that was definitely the car she wanted, we printed up the paperwork from USAA, and drove out with the car in about an hour. Last week I helped a friend purchase a used Dodge Ram 2500 from Cactus Auto, and I can not be happier with the experience. We worked with Gary Privratsky, who was welcoming, courteous, conscientious and helpful. Throughout the process, Gary went out of his way to make sure that we understood what was going on and kept in regular contact. He never resorted to a hard sell or tried to take advantage of us. If issues cropped up, he immediately dealt without any arguments or excuses. For instance, when a pre-purchase inspection revealed that the truck needed new ball joints, he checked with his supervisor, Xander, and got the work done. I've always had reservations about purchasing a vehicle from a used car dealer, but, at least in the case of Cactus Auto, if I am ever going to make another purchase, I would be happy to go back to them and work with Gary again.

I have mixed feelings about this place. The office was favorable along with the offers of beverage. I also felt like I was drawn in with a good deal on their website, then told that I would have to pay more for what I wanted, then switched to a much better "deal." This is similar to what the other reviews were saying. The entire time I was there I got a creepy vibe from the salesman which was verified when I went to a different place who had a salesman who was not. I do not trust these people and they wasted my time.

After we called again we were transferred to 4 different salesman and no one helped us. Very disappointed in the customer service. Cactus Auto sold us a great vehicle at a competitive price. They have a great reputation in town so we went with them. After purchasing the jeep, we noticed a small problem but Gary- my salesman- called me a few weeks later to see how the car was running. After letting him know about the issue, they checked it & fixed it without hassle. Gary is incredibly friendly & honest. He definitely has great work ethic & customer service/satisfaction. I will briefly mention that I'm not the biggest fan of Reg. He was not the most polite person on my last visit to cactus auto (a few years ago). But he doesn't appear to be a sales guy anymore, so no worries. If you're looking for an honest dealership though this is a good one, and Gary Privratsky is awesome & would highly recommend him to anyone! I had bought a 2008 Mazda 3, the day after I bought it there were a few issues and they took care of them for me no question, they never got upset with me or even the tiniest bit rude or seemed annoyed with me, ( I was pretty persistent). They took care of things in a timely manner and special ordered a part for me, I was so happy with my experience, all the guys here are awesome, they always made sure I had a ride when my car was getting worked on, and they are all so kind, Chris the initial sales man took care of all the paperwork, ( this was my first buying experience) and explain everything so I could understand! Xander always took my calls and was so understanding and easy going took care of everything I needed, often checked in with me as well. Last but not least Doug, the auto shop manager, helps me as we'll special ordered a part for me car and got it running like new! Even my bad credit ,He helped to get good price for a Dodge Avenger 2012, even lower int% and get a lower pmts within my budget and a change to repair my credit. Went to this dealer and the salesman had no personality whatsoever. Found an Audi A4 that I liked and mentioned a wierd noise and the salesman tools me it was nothing just the fan. Sounded wierd to me so I told them they needed to figure out what it was before I even thought about buying. They called in a tech and replaced the oil pump. I decided to buy and 30 days later I took it to Audi for a checkup and they told me I needed about $4000 worth of repairs to even drive safely down the road. Thinking it might be audi I went to get a second opinion and they said the exact same thing! That's what I get for buying a used car from a shady dealer. Ended up trading it in for a new car because I was upside down on it! Good thing I had the funds....

I went to a couple used car dealerships around Tucson, and was overall displeased with the customer service of the other businesses, however when my mom and I went to Cactus Auto we both knew it was the place. When we arrived, we were immediately serviced by Chris, he took us inside and showed us a list of the cars in the our price range, rather than having us walk back and forth across the lot in the heat which some of the other places did. Chris was very helpful, and helped us compare the car we wanted to a few other cars at other places, he even showed us the carfax that the other places didn't have on their site. Overall I was very pleased with my experience here, and will definitely recommend it to anyone I know looking to get a used car.

I would like to thank Frank Valle for giving me my freedom of travel again. Although this is just from work and back for the time being, and to the grocery, its nice to NOT have to walk everywhere! My husband spent about 4 hours talking and dealing with the company. Jayson was the salesman and he worked hard trying to get the price right on the truck. It didn't work the way he wanted it to, so he walked away, and Jayson was still diligent about trying to make the sale. We went back down so that I could drive the truck, the dealer closed at 6 and we didn't arrive until 6 and they were very friendly and not at all put out about staying late. We finally did agree with a great price and signed the papers. I was concerned about warranty coverage and was told that they stand behind their vehicles. Spent 6000.00 on a used car and found out 32 days later the head gasket was bad. Took it back to Cactus auto who " fixed it with a used head gasket" and spent the next 2 yrs replacing EVERYTHING RELATED TO A head gasket totalling an additional 1900.00 in repairs of their suggestion. All this to end up with oil in the radiator. I was informed by Doug that there work was fine. A partial flush fixed it? REALLY?The oil in radiator he said was NEW oil and someone must have put it in the radiator by accident. As a consumer who has been tricked out of a lot of money...calls not returned..answer like I don't know and here talk to someone else , this IS THE WORST BUSINESS I HAVE DEALT WITH TO DATE.Rude..lies and Bandaides should b the company name. This is just the beginning of this mess.

I decided the 48 month warranty was a little too much, Mr. Miller switched it to a 24 month and we signed papers. Nothing was was left in question. We stopped by Cactus Auto after viewing some vehicles on-line. Chris met us as we were heading toward the trucks. He's very friendly and helpful. He identified the vehicles that met our criteria and allowed us to view them at our liesure. We returned about a week later, met with Chris, set up test drives on the two trucks that peaked our interest, completed the test drives, made a choice, and then completed the transaction in record time without a hitch. We received a very fair value on our trade-in and belive we paid a fare price for the truck. I highly recommend Cactus Auto to anyone searching for a pain free buying experience. I recently purchased a used 2006 Nissan Xterra from Cactus Auto in Tucson, Arizona and was extremely impressed with the quality service I received from the dealership and especially the exceptional service I received from Mr. Privratsky my salesperson. It was truly a surprise to be allowed to take the vehicle for a solo test drive and go over all the functions of the vehicle without someone looking over your shoulder. This place should be avoided. Had my car 17days and a piston split in 1/2. Too bad they said, past the 15 days. Took no responsibility for it. I was sold a 2000 Jeep, with 81,000 original miles. I assumed it had the original engine, however when it was tore down, by a Jeep dealer, they found that it was not the original engine but a rebuilt. Still nothing from Mr Xander Swatz the general manager. I feel I was poorly treated and cheated and lied too by this guy. Stay away from this place, run don't walk away.

I must say very good customer service when I purchased car it was very nice clean but after a week car started having problems. So I took it in they had it for a week and we got the car back well less then a week later we started having the same problems and more. I tried contacting them for about 3 weeks before I got a call back. There is no communication and lack of mechanical intelligence in there mechanics.

We looked on the website and had an idea of type of car we were looking for. Once we got to the dealership, we were greeted by Gary P. who was very friendly and ready to help out any way he could. He was really nice and made the whole experience of buying a car enjoyable. And the service didn't end after we drove our new car off of the lot. We realized that the air conditioner was not blowing air as cool as it had the first day and I called Xander. He immediately set us up with an appointment and even offered to give my husband a car to drive if it was something that would take longer than his lunch hour. I found Cactus Auto through autotrader.com and began to realize their prices were some of the best in town. My friend Kyle had purchased one of their Forest Service trucks in the winter so I went to him to see how his experience was. When he told me how happy he was with Cactus Auto I decided to drive down and look at the 3 vehicles I was interested in.I was pre-approved for a $5000 through my credit union and had a beat up 2000 mustang to trade. Eddie was extremely understanding of my financial circumstances and worked to make the deal happen. He didnt pressure me into another finance application which I really appreciated. My credit union and Cactus Auto worked diligently to get me out the door with my new Mercury Sable THE SAME DAY!It is so nice to finally have air conditioning in this Tucson heat! All my windows and door locks work now, cigarette lighter to charge my phone and MUCH better gas mileage. What an upgrade from my old v6 mustang!When I got home I noticed the next morning a very small oil puddle underneath my new car. I was very worried and called Eddie immediately. He put my mind at ease and asked me to bring it by so they could fix it for me at no charge. I was very satisfied with his response.I took the car in this morning and I will be back tonight to pick up and will update my review on how the repair went!

I set out to find a car that I really liked and hoped for the best. I found a car that I really liked within the first ten minutes of being there! I went in to sell my pickup truck since I no longer needed it. I was given a fair price but then decided to purchase a car from the dealership, Chris was very helpful and allowed me to really "sink" my teeth into 2 different cars. Instead of the high pressure tactics I have come to expect from used car lots, I was given time to browse before being greeted by Frank, and offered a test drive. After pursuing, and eventually purchasing the truck, I can safely say I'm a satisfied customer. I dealt with Frank and Reg, who were both friendly, professional and helpful through it all. The asking price was excellent to begin with, they payed top dollar for my trade in, and did everything they could to ensure I drove away happy and worry free. The vehicle supposedly had a safety inspection & passed. While driving it home I realized that the brakes were bad. I took it to my mechanic the next morning to have the brakes inspected. The front brakes needed to be replaced & the back brakes needed to be cleaned. When the back brakes were opened, so much dust flew out that I could tell that the Cactus Auto mechanic hadn't even inspected them. Since he supposedly inspected the front brakes & gave them a "pass" I decided to have my mechanic do the work. I didn't feel that the dealer's mechanic was qualified. Coincidentally, the heater fan motor went out on the way to my mechanic, so I had that replaced while there. Gary was great to work with - he understood the situation & was able to get us a reimbursement of 50% for the brake work. Gary is a very responsible & honest salesman, but he shouldn't have to worry about the safety of the vehicles he sells. The mechanic should do his job properly so that Gary can do his. And, the customer shouldn't have to immediately have work done on a vehicle that has supposedly been inspected.

I met Frank Valle on the Cactus Auto car lot. I was walking to the dealer from two blocks cause my car had finally blew up after 159,000 miles. Frank was polite, friendly, and listened to my wants and needs. I currently do not have a job so I used my income tax refund to by a car cash because I couldn't finance. I was surprised that they had over 200 cars and around 20 of them under my budget ($5500). Frank found out exactly what I needed and he narrowed it down to 2 cars. I drove both of them and chose one. I didn't feel pressured to buy and left the dealer feeling like I wasn't taken advantage of. Frank called me a few hours later to make sure I didn't have any questions or concerns about the van. I will defiantly recommend Frank to everyone I know who want a car.

Reg at Cactus Auto was so helpful. This was the 3rd car we bought from Reg, 2 for us and one for our son. This last was a 1 ton GMC crew cab. Somehow Cactus is able to find the cars and trucks with lower miles on them than what you see at other used car lots for car of the same year.

Fortunately, Cactus Auto had several vehicles to choose from that met our needs, and there were not any clunkers on the lot. The pickup truck we purchased should last us a good number of years. For value the truck exceeded any we saw elsewhere. Our salesman Gary Privratsky has been working in the automobile retail business for over a quarter century. I needed to purchase a vehicle for my son to use at college. Looking for something reliable that would get him back and forth from Phoenix to Tucson. I looked at several cars at several dealerships as well as a couple private sellers. I brought a couple cars over to my mechanic at BrakeMax (love those guys in Oro Valley - Rick and Leroy) and the cars were not up to the cut. Then After scouring the internet I found a nice looking Ford Mustang that had decent miles. I contacted Chris and made an appointment to look at the car. When I got there, he grabbed the keys handed them to me and let me go take a 30 minute test drive. I liked the car so asked if I could bring it to my mechanic at BrakeMax 30 minutes away. He handed me the keys again and I was off to see the mechanic. At BrakeMax when they saw the car they told me that many times a Mustang is modified by a young guy and 99% of the time the modifications are not good for the car. But after they spent an hour digging in every nook and cranny of the car they came back and told me it was in EXCELLENT condition. I told my BrakeMax guy the price Cactus was asking, he did a little research and said it was a very fair price. Chris was great to work with and I highly recommend him and Cactus. I can tell they take great pride in their products as well as developing relationships with their customers. I could not be happier!

I went to Cactus Auto after having tried dozens of car dealers as well as even after purchasing a car and pretty much getting burned. Not even two days after getting the car I had the check engine light came on so I returned the Audi and was again without a car. As a single mom of two who lives in Oro Valley but works locally in the town of Tucson I was beyond stressed and annoyed at this point. Xander emailed me the same day all of this was happening and it was a sigh of relief that he was still wanting my business and willing to help me out as much as possible. He referred me to see his sales agent Frank whom that day stayed open later than business hours to get an application started for my cosigner after we had accidentally mistaken Cactus Jack and Cactus Auto for one another. I immediately after only about half a day got approved for a car! There were a few very minor things needing fixing on the car but Frank has been very quick to help and resolve the problems. These people here at this dealership might actually be the nicest group of people I have encountered at ANY dealership, even the fellows I didn't work directly with were still warm and very friendly! I definitely will return when I am able to make a larger purchase in the future!

I came in knowing what car I wanted and what car I was trading in; however I wasn't sure if I had the time to make a deal then and there since I had work in less than 4-5 hours. Jeff was the first to greet me after a minute of being there with a smile on his face and a nice welcome handshake. My wife and I walked over to the car I wanted, while Jeff grabbed the keys for a view and quick spin. Coming back from the test drive Jeff sat us down, and asked if we had a trade-in started working the numbers on that. I roughly knew the value of my trade-in (having modifications done it does diminish some), however was pleasantly surprised when they came back with a number higher than I assumed based on KBB. I mauled it over with my wife once more as to whether or not we should try to finance today, as we were in a high interest rate on the trade-in. We went ahead and applied coming back with a few offers we werent happy with and one that made our day being that it was actually under the % we were looking for. All this time Jeff was quite literally running back and forth. After the final signatures we shook hands, moved personal items over from one car to the other and drove off amazed at how fast it was. Thanks again Jeff!*The following day, Jeff called to make sure I was enjoying the new Mustang and there were little to no issues.*I went back a week after to finalize registration, and dropped off some of the original parts that I no longer needed from the old car, talked with Xander and had a nice conversation. He asked if everything was going well with it, I pointed out a small non-issue and he made an appointment to get it looked at on the spot.Best Customer Service I have seen in a long time, this is coming from someone who has worked 12 years in customer service fields.

The research was a long process but worth the months that I looked for local and regional listings.Last month, when I saw that Catcus had received a 2008 LR2 HSE and I saw the report and the specs, I drove over to see the vehicle after sending an email to Xander S. The first person I saw was Chris I. at the door at the dealership and he immediately sprung into action to locate the LR2 on the lot, and to start the conversation that led to the final sale. I appreciated Chris' friendly demeanor and the flexibility to ensure that I was able to get a pre-purchase mechanical evaluation with Britiish Car Services recommended to me by another friend who racks up a lot of miles driving a Range Rover. Cactus made the entire process easy and it moved quickly to conclusion. I would definitely recommend working with Chris and generally I would recommend looking at the inventory at Cactus.

Before I came to this dealership I had a pretty rotten experience with a previous one. My boyfriend bought a car here a few years back and he suggested I submit the credit application online and go from there. I checked out their inventory online and picked out the car I wanted, an '03 Mitsubishi Eclipse. I received a call the next day, I missed the call but I received an email shortly afterwards from Frank. He told me the hours he would be in the office and asked when I would be able to come in. I was able to make it in the next day and sent him the email and let him know of my interest in the Eclipse. I got there soon after 1:00 pm, within 10 minutes I test drove the car, completely fell in love with it. He still gave me the option to look for another car, but I was pretty sold on the Eclipse. The price was perfect, the car was in fantastic shape and they managed to get me a great deal on a loan through a credit union. I left within two hours with my new (to me) beautiful car with a great price. Fast, friendly service with great prices? Yes, please! I would definitely recommend this dealership, and Frank, to anyone, and I already have!

Went looking for a pickup truck, thought I would have to get one with really high miles to be able to afford what I wanted. Cris and Reg steered me to the perfect truck, only 33k miles, and Cris kept working on the financing to get the payments where I wanted. It was all super easy and painless and I got so much more than I had hoped for. Got the truck inspected, found to be in literally perfect condition. I couldnt find anyone to help me with finding a car because i had such a small down payment and 0 credit at all so I spoke with Xander and he assured me that they would help get me into the car i chose. It was awesome to find out he got me approved with their bank of choice so I was so excited. I was surprisingly pleased. I have had bad experiences with every dealership I have ever had any dealings with and was concerned I might have a similar experience. Pat was honest, he worked hard to get me qualified, even though I had fallen on some tough times, some years earlier and was trying to dig myself out of debt, he found someone to qualify me and I bought a car that was sound and had relatively low miles for it's age. The body and interior were in good shape. The paint job on the car( which was obviously a repaint) not so good, but can't be sure where that came from so I am hesitant to blame the dealership. I am happy with what I purchased. I have since recommended this dealership and am considering buying another car from there as is my daughter.

Mike gave some helpful advice even though I was able to get the payments so low he advised me to not pay it off before a year and a half so that my credit would increase. I purchased an exceptional vehicle! They were helpful in all my questions and concerns. They have my ultimate recommendation!

He made sure that our loan was affordable and reasonable and worked hard to make sure everything was the was the way we wanted it. I gave Jeff some specific parameters for the kind of car I wanted and he found me a great one almost immediately! After we had an issue with our financing, my mom talked to Xander, and he brought us back in and helped us out. They let me take the car to my personal mechanic and put on new struts at his recommendation at no extra cost to me. They also put new front brakes on and adjusted my headlights. Great customer service!

I purchased my car in May of 2012, (very satisfied with car) on 2 occasions I took my car for a broken clip on front fender, and then in June of 2013 my air conditioner fan quit. The service was great beginning from when I stepped out of my vehicle. Everyone was very helpful and honest. When Jeff wasn't there he ensured that Frank to great care of me and my family. We went to look at one car but after explaining our circumstances we were told that the car we wanted was actually going to be sold for parts and they didn't feel comfortable selling it but we ended getting an outstanding deal on an expedition. Our entire experience with Cactus Auto was wonderful from beginning to end. From the first phone call when I mentioned what we were looking for, to the moment we were walking out of the door with keys in hand to the exact vehicle we wanted.It was my son's first time buying a vehicle and they made his first experience a great one. I have never actually enjoyed buying a vehicle until now. It was quick and easy, and that is so rare with auto purchases. Usually buying a vehicle, is a very long and frustrating process.I was especially concerned about the process because we lived 2 hours away from the dealer. Mr. Reg Obie knows how to make buying your next car a breeze. He is an expert at making buying a car a straight forward and honest with an excellent "The customer gets what the customer wants." attitude. It is the way he makes getting the car you want, the way you want it at the price you are (being realistic of course) willing to pay actually enjoyable. He is a professional who knows how to make the paperwork flow so fast and easy you'll wonder what it must be that the bigger dealerships leave out of what they teach their sales staff. I went to Cactus Auto because some of my friends bought cars their and every one of them had only good things to say. I went, found what I wanted, they made the car I wanted be more of the car I wanted. I wanted to keep my Ford Police Interceptor basic black grill and wheel caps so they made that happen lightning fast. I said I wanted some additional paint work on it as well and they told me exactly who to go to to get that done. I really think you'll be hard pressed to find any other dealer that will as accommodating as Cactus Auto is.Here is the case for Cactus Auto boiled down: They treat you right and people know it. If you haven't heard that news before; now you know.Make Cactus your first stop when you are in the market for a car. We were looking for a car for my sister. Cris was the first and only sales person to pay attention to my sister. He asked her a lot of questions about what she would like in a car and helped her find one she really liked. We went on one more dealer that day and were very dissapionted with the employees there. On the drive home my sister called and spoke to Cris, about looking at the vehicle the next day. Long story, short, she is now driving her "New" car and cannot be happier. Once I told them what I was looking for and the salesman laughed at me, telling me that's tough. I threw his card back at him and went to buy a car somewhere else.... I paid cash at another place.

Cactus Auto has had a 1998 Pontiac Sunfire listed on Cars.com and their own website for at least a week and a half. As of today, 11-2-11, it is still listed. I contacted the dealership by email through Cars.com about that vehicle on 10-27-11. A representative from the dealership called me back on 10-28-11. I told the rep that I was very interested in the Pontiac Sunfire listed, and that I would be there on 11-1-11 to look at it. When I got to the dealership on the morning of 11-1-11, I was told that the Sunfire was still in the shop, it was not drivable, and the person I spoke with said he didn't even know when or if it would be drivable. I asked what I thought were a couple of valid questions: 1) If the vehicle wasn't in sellable condition, why was it listed? 2) Why did no one tell me the condition of the car when I specifically said I would be there on this particular day to look at this specific vehicle? Needless to say, I couldn't get an answer to either question. True to shady, used car dealer form, I was offered another vehicle to look at, that was older and double the price. I did purchase a vehicle that day, but definitely NOT from Cactus Auto.
