I found a great deal on a 2015 Camry online and submitted an interest. I received a phone call in 60 seconds and scheduled a test drive for the same day. The salesman was attentive, thorough and focused on me as a customer. From the time I entered until I drove off in the Camry took less than 3 hours. Mostly spent getting the car ready for me. Went in to look at a Toyota Tundra. Dealership was very clean and all the staff was friendly, professional, and courteous. Right away I got help from Veronica F. She walked the lot with me and they had about 4 trucks I liked. Test drove the tundra. Waited a week to think about it. Went back and was received with the same courtesy and respect as before on my first visit. Veronica was back on point with me. She was informed, and proffesional treated me with respect and I felt I didn't waste my time with her at all. When it came down to the biggest thing when buying anything, which was the price, Veronica and her manager Mr. Mares gave me a ridiculous deal on my truck. They asked me where I was comfortable and what I wanted to pay per month and I wrote down a number. They agreed to my price, and I was surprised. Signed and now happy with my purchase. The whole time they made me feel like royalty in there. Especially Veronica and her manager. Would definitely recorded going to Cavender for you next purchase. Ask for Veronica. And I recommend a Toyota over any other manufacturer.

Stay far away. At first this seems like a very friendly dealership. They seem to work with you. The longer it gets from purchase of my vehicle the more that I realize how bad they screwed me over. I have several different "final contracts" that they presented. All the way from the original one which had a decent interest rate and was for 5 years, to the final ones starting high 14% and 6 year. At 6000 miles I had the first opportunity to find just how well Cavender stands behind their "Cavender Confidence" slogan. Being in Wisconsin at the time, and with a nail in my tire I get to find out that they removed the Road Hazard warranty that they told me and provided paperwork for from my vehicle. According GS Administrators (the back of the road hazard) I called in and removed the service the day of purchase, and a refund was issued. When I contacted Cavender that day I was told that I would have to wait for them to pull the paper work from the archives, this process could take 12 hours. This was when the car was just 5 months old. They did get back to me a few days later and told me they reinstated the warranty as a courtesy for the miscommunication. Bringing it a little more current I had to take the car for it's 15k service last month. During that time we looked into purchasing another vehicle from Cavender, figured we could trade up. After being there for several hours, under the impression that the car was at service during at least part of the time, we got informed that my credit was shot beyond all hope, and they couldn't work with me. My girlfriend submitted hers at the same time, and they didn't bother to run it. We got back out to the car and headed home to notice that the service sticker hadn't been updated on the windshield. When we called them to find out why the service hadn't been done they gave the excuse that they were appraising the car. We understood they said they would be doing that, but they also told us that they would be take it to service to make sure that we could look at the new cars. Once we finally did get it serviced, and got it back on the road there has been a clicking noise from the front end. I have had it to them twice now. I believe it to be a loose hub cap and have told them this, but wanted to be sure that it was nothing more serious, and get it dealt with if it is indeed a broken clip. The second time it was there, they had it for just over 7 hours to tell me that there was nothing wrong with it, and that they couldn't hear the click.That doesn't even get to the falsities that we were told about the car when we purchased it. Things such as it has the "EnTune" head unit and can run the apps from the head unit. That it has 4 wheel disc breaks. That it came standard with accident avoidance features. These are all false about the car that we have. I can't blame our salesman (Mario) as he is just doing what he can. I honestly don't think that he had the training to tell us otherwise, just what he is told to say to sell the car.Anyways, end of the day, the car drives terrible. It rides rough, and it makes a clicking noise. I had been recommending Cavender, and given them the benefit of the doubt several times. Right now, I'm not a very pleased customer. Upon digging through the paperwork and being informed at the other Dealership that my girlfriend is not co-signer as the paperwork indicates (something I'm still not sure the other dealership has right but insist they do), we found many discrepancies and a higher than expected interest rate and term. I think after the experience I have today, I have many doubts about buying another Toyota product in general, and a lot of those come from this dealership.If you've had good luck here, I'm glad for you. I'm sure they have some great people that actually do deliver on their promises. However, I'm not going to be back.Purchase Date: 11/25/2015Car: 2016 Corolla LCall me a fool, or laugh if you will. They fooled me.

Let me start by saying their selection is great. With cars spread out over 3-4 different lots, there is a lot to choose from. But, this is also the downside. I went in looking for a specific vehicle which had been on the website for close to a week. I had taken off work, gotten pre-approval from my credit union, and was ready to buy. But, they had no idea where the vehicle was or even if it had arrived in San Antonio yet. After driving around, I test drove a similar vehicle, even though it was above my price range. Naturally they tried to sell me that vehicle since the one I was looking for hadn't arrived. After some checking they said the one I was looking for would be in that afternoon, so I left my phone number for them to call me. After 3 days of hearing nothing, I opted for another vehicle at another dealership. If you don't have a specific vehicle in mind, they might be a good choice for helping you find something in their vast selection. But, if you have something specific in mind from their website, be sure to double (or triple) check that it is actually there and they know where to find it on their lot. The disorganization of not knowing what inventory they have on-site and where vehicles are made me nervous from the outset. I'm not going to say the attempt to upsell to something more expensive was bad, but it is something to watch out for based on my past experiences. The delay in getting back to me with updates ended up costing them the sale. Even a call explaining delivery had been delayed with an update as to when it would be there would have gone a long way towards keeping me in the market for that extra day or two.

Cavender Toyota offered a very dedicated and outgoing sales staff the moment i arrived. Antonio, who by the way was very patient and helpful after being quite indecisive on which car to choose from. I had an issue at another dealership that was handled unprofessionally. I was ready to quit buying Toyotas due to this poorly handled situation. Then, I remembered Cavender had treated us well in the past. I asked for the manager, and he immediately assured me they would do everything possible to help get my new 2016 RAV4 fixed at no cost to me. He assigned me his Assistant Manager, Mike. When I returned for my appointment, I was taken care of immediately. The end result was they went ahead and ordered the parts and will fix my broken roof rack at their cost even though they can't get reimbursed under my warranty. I appreciate them listening to my understanding of situation and not shifting blame or responsibility like the other dealership.

Went in with my bank approval, they didn't want that, they were adamant they wNt ed to finance.they offered me 700. For my 06 solara, stated they could sell it, they were doing me a favor. I left, manager called me next day telling me that independent car buyer whom we never saw appraised my car, would be happy to buy my car. I didn't take their offer, they ran my credit after I clearly said no. A week later, David Reyes calls me back, asks if I still had 06 Solara, yes and I was crystal clear, I had already bought a car. He stated they wanted my car for purchase because, "the hail situation was winding down and they needed cars to sell, so if I came in, I would leave with check in hand. I came in and David passed me off to another salesman, told me, great news, they now offered me 2000.00 fot7my 06 Solara, why didn't they offer this to me the first time I was there? So salesman then asked me, what I bought, I told him but that was non of his business, I was brought in with intent of toyota buying my 06 by an independent buyer, what a crock! They were still trying to take advantage of me. It was a ploy to manipulate, lie , Decieved me. I was seething. I am still seething!! Who wouldn't be. Cavender claims integrity, quality customer care, instead I was Decieved, lied, manipulated into buying their way, dismissing my bank. I will never walk into or recommend Cavender Toyota. Cavender had no remorse treating me second rate, I have no issues sharing my stressful, horrible experience. I will make every effort to locate Cavender Corp HQ, I'm sure Cavender family would be intrested how I was mistreated, disrespected.

I have purchased two vehicles from Cavendar, a 2004 Tundra and a 2011 Avalon. Previously I purchased a 2000 Camry from another dealer in the San Antonio area. In August of 2015 I took the Tundra in to complete the passenger air bag recall. When completed the air bag cover didn't match exactly the rest of the dash. Since the truck is over 10 years old I didn't worry abut it. Since that time the part which was either replaced, cleaned or somehow else changed has deteriorated and now is very sticky and black plastic is starting to show through. When it took it back, under their service warranty, they said they never removed that part and refused to fix the problem. Basically if their paperwork didn't show that it happened, it didn't in their opinion. Even though the part obviously doesn't match the rest of the dash and if they bothered to look they would see that the original airbag is still in place, they never got past looking at their 8 month old service record. They even stated they didn't have the vehicle for more than 3 hours and couldn't have done anything. We took the vehicle in before the dealership opened, put the keys through the slot and picked it up when my wife got off work. There are only two of us, she worked that day. It is absolutely impossible for us to have taken the truck to the dealership at the time they show it as being received.I would recommend you look for another dealer. If you must go back to them for service I highly recommend you take photos of your vehicle before you leave it with them because if something happens they will not take responsibility. I contacted Toyota and they said this was a dealer issue and refused to get involved other than having the dealer that I had already spoken to twice, all the way up to Director of Operations, contact me. If the manufacturer won't do anything more than that to investigate I will not buy another Toyota either. That isn't something I am happy about as my three Toyotas have been very good vehicles but as they say "fool me once shame on you". I will not be fooled twice.

I had to go through numerous hoops to get into contact with anyone at this dealership in regards to a used vehicle. I had to email several times in order to get a response, and got nothing. I stated in the email that emailing was the best way to reach me, as I work during the day, and I still recieved a phone call. The salesman who reached me seemed very rushed and uninterested, he avoided giving me the detailed information over the phone even after I mentioned that I am located in Houston. After contacting several other employees, I was finally able to set up a date to go purchase the vehicle. An hour before I leave for the appointment, I called to ensure the vehicle was still there only to be told (after several calls) that he vehicle was sold the night before. I was not contacted about this. I could have already been there only to find out that the vehicle was sold. As I mentioned already, i'm located in Houston. I am livid, he communication and professionalism of the employees at this dealership leaves something to be desired.Not 5 minutes after I got off of he phone with them, I recieved a call from another dealer offering the vehicle for a lower price, with less miles. Not to mention, they are driving the vehicle over from anoher dealership over 2 hours away.

Initially we looked at Sienna vans, then after about a week of thinking about it, returned to look at the Highlanders. Rey Sanchez helped up both times. His knowledge of the features along with his friendly demeanor made it easy for us decide on going with the Highlander. We had specific features we wanted that were not available at the time we visited but Rey and the rest of the team made sure that as soon as the vehicle we wanted was available that it would get to us. A very good experience, and will recommend Rey and Cavendar Toyota in the future.

I contacted this dealership (via email) on 1/15/2016, interested in a Toyota Tundra. Shortly after contacting them, I received an auto response email listing their current new vehicle specials, followed by a response from their internet sales manager Mario. In that auto response email, the dealership advertised $10k off left over 2015 Tundras. I responded to Mario asking if they do in fact have $10k off the 2015 Tundras. His initial response was We do have $10k off the 2015 Toyota Tundra 1794 editions. Now this is the first shady practice by this dealership. When you check their inventory, you will see they do not even have any 2015 1794 editions. So if I went to the dealership thinking they had some 2015 1794 trucks with $10k off, I would not be able to purchase one. It is simply a tactic they use to get you to their dealership. And I will show further proof of this tactic.The email clearly said $10k off ALL 2015 Toyota Tundras. So I responded to Mario stating this. His exact response was Congratulations, not everyone will receive that email, we do not have many 2015 Tundras left over and I would like for you to take advantage of the $10,000 off of our remaining Tundras. Im not sure what he meant by not everyone will receive that email. I received that email as an auto response when I originally emailed their dealership.Ignoring the fishiness of this $10k off tactic, I decided to visit the dealership on 01/16/2016 and get an Out the Door price on one of the left over 2015 Tundras. I checked their inventory which showed they still had 9 available. When I got there, they told me all they had was just one left. It was parked in front of the dealership and was a 2015 Platinum edition, msrp $47k. I wanted to make sure the truck would then be $37k plus tt&l. They assured me they do not add on any dealership fees, prep fees, document fees, etc. The truck would be $37k plus tt&l. The next step was to value my trade-in. And this is where their $10k off tactic occurs. I brought them my trade so they could value it. Before they would even give me an offer, they called up my financial institution to find out how much I still owed on the car. This is a very shady practice as they used this number to offer a lower amount. Any dealership who wants to know how much you owe before offering you an amount is just shady.The KBB trade-in value on my car is $26,229 to $28,888. The dealership offered me $24k on my trade in. The fair purchase price on my car is almost $32k. And this is the value of the car in stock form. My car has many expensive upgrades that this dealership wants on the car. They told me if I wanted to take these upgrades off the car, it would decrease their trade-in offer. Here is how dealerships like this work: -They will advertise something like this, say $10k off ALL 2015 Tundras. -When you ask them about it, they will try and say it is on certain trims (example 1794)-When you call them out on that, they will say something stupid like congratulations, not everyone blah blah blah-They convince you to go to their dealership with this $10k off offering-They dont want to lose $10k by selling the truck so they try and make it up elsewhere, I.E. your trade-in-They will over you $24k on your trade-in that is worth $28k (trade-in value) and $32k market value-They then make $8k off your trade-in, so they make $8k off of you. -They then only sold a left over 2015 model for $2k off MSRPWhen I questioned them about why they are not offering KBB value, they responded with kbb is just a guide and kbb is not buying your car, we are. But then when you go to their website, they advertise kbb used car guide on their webpage. This dealership is another stereotypical dealership that uses shady tactics. Dont fall for it. Look at the overall picture before purchasing from them. If they offer $10k off, see where they are trying to make it up. Dont be a sucker and let them make money off of you. I didnt even get to the financing stage but I bet they try and screw people over there as well. If you do decide to buy from this shady dealership, I recommend getting preapproved through your bank first. If they are shady with pricing, they are probably shady with the financing. They probably add on 2% interest when they arrange financing for you. Legally they can do this to you and you would never know unless you went and get pre-approved elsewhere first.

We were just in to get service on our 2009 Prius and visited the new car show room. Mike introduced himself and welcomed us to the San Antonio area. Ron and I had talked about purchasing a new Prius in the past month and asked Mike if he had any 2015 left? He showed us several and we told him we would talk about it. Overall, our car buying experience was exemplary. Our initial contact was with Keith Mitchell. He was courteous, friendly, and very knowledgeable. He found the exact vehicle we wanted, a 2015 Sienna. Keith supervised our test drive. The Sienna was very responsive and comfortable to drive. He answered all of our questions about the vehicle's features and how everything worked. After test driving mini-vans from two other dealerships we decided to purchase the Sienna. We called Keith and made an appointment to see him the next morning. When we arrived at the dealership Keith was busy with another customer. He introduced us to Mike Rodriguez. Mike led us through the purchase process in a friendly and professional manner. At no point were we subjected to the "hard sell" or pressured to purchase things we did not feel were necessary. Jim explained the financial arrangements in a clear and concise manner. He was friendly and extremely competent. When our mini-van was delivered to us a young man, I believe his name was Ming, explained and/or demonstrated all of the features and accessories of the vehicle. He was friendly and very patient with us, answering all of our questions. We love our new Sienna. My wife has adopted it as her car. She had it parked in our garage and refused to take it out and drive it in the rain. Again, we were very pleased with whole car buying experience. We were not intending to purchase an automobile at the time of our visit. We were just getting prepared for our next vehicle purchase. The salesman, Mr. Luis Perez, was very professional, very personable, patient and very kind. We did not feel pressured to purchase.Both my husband and I feel he continued to ask us questions to make certain he was aware of our situation in purchasing a truck and when we decided to purchase a particular truck, he shook our hand and thanked. We have never been told, in person, we are appreciated to be a customer of Toyota. We also appreciate the fact that BEFORE we drove off, another representative went over the accessories in the truck, that Mr. Perez had gone over with us.We received a call from Mr. Luis Perez the day after we purchased the truck to thank us once again for our business and asked us to call him if we had any questions about the purchase or accessories of the truck.

Paul Kosby was out salesman. We were interested in a specific car and Paul assured us it was there on the lot. When we arrived, Paul greeted us and showed us the car and we bought it. I would recommend you ask for Paul Kosby if you are looking to buy car at Cavender. Also, Marlo Payne in finance was very friendly and professional, and the young lady who showed us all the cars functions before we left did a wonderful job. Our first experience with another sales person earlier that day was not so good. We drove 160 miles to the dealership after being assured certain vehicles were on the lot. The cars were not there and the sales team tried to sell us a car for about 2500 over what was advertised.

Buying a car for me is a complex mental and emotional challenge. It involved the stress of making important choices about safety, and money, and self-image and often the fears of making a poor choice or not being clear enough or perhaps feeling you haven't been treated with a sense of honest concern in your transportation needs. I have to say buying my new Prius at Cavender Toyota was probably my best day ever in facing this tough challenge. I wanted it to be fun and done well. And all that came true and as a retired person who's owned many cars and been through many mistakes, today I felt like I had finally put together with good guidance from the staff there the right decisions. It was what I hoped it would be as a pleasant satisfying outcome, where people listened carefully, and honored what I wanted and helped me put the steps together. And there was fun and laughter and good conversation and the staff listened and treated me respectfully and everyone on the staff spoke to me with a pleasant sincerity, and not a hint of cynicism or disrespect; the staff helped me use the coffee machine and did everything to make my day work out successfully and handed me a bottle of cold spring water after my orientation to the technical facets of my new hybrid car (a first experience). This was for me like hitting a four bagger home-run with a simple swing of the bat and I have to say there was every effort made to help my search for a great car I could afford on my budget and excellent advice on financing and protective investment in car services down the road from the financial people. The key person of my memorable experience was with the very generous insight. attention and good listening skills of Sales Consultant Mr. Luis Gonzalez. He did not tire of my endless questions, my stories of past car owning and assorted sidebars on every topic relating to my personal interests and experiences in car owning. I am a strong advocate of ecologically designed vehicles and the Prius represents a great intermediate compromise between gasoline powered and electric powered engine systems. It's not quite time for all electric cars given the difficulty in getting recharge stations populating the highways and byways of American driving but this quiet powerful engineering evolution by Toyota reveals the standards of excellence they are demanding and delivering for drivers within the limitations we face as new technologies gradually replace oil and gasoline powered systems. Hybrids are what's working for now and I learned a lot today listening to Luis and the car care people and the insights of the financial advisor Jim who gave excellent and frank advice on preserving my investment in terms of the repair future of my choices. In short, really sincere dedicated people who are seemingly quite happy to be at this agency in what seems to be a caring family tradition of excellence confirm the reputational culture of the Cavender family's franchises: the respectful and honest treatment of a staff that seemed to be able to work in a spirited and creative manner in solving customer issues. This is rare indeed and this kind of creative support in making important choices in transportation suggests a culture of respect from the familial staff model of ownership. When I need my next car, you can bet I'll be consulting with the friendly professionals at Cavender Toyota. Thank you all for making this be a truly successful fun day for my wife and I. I went in and purchased a 2012 Nissan Altima and they made the process so quick, easy, helpful, and not to mention very professional. I ended up not liking the car for whatever reason (main one being too small) but when I went in the 2nd time to trade it in and get a 2015 challenger; they made that experience even better than the 1st! To Whom it May Concern,Id like to share my recent experience at Cavender Toyota in hopes no other potential customers have a similar experience.I initiated contact with Cavender on Friday, October 23 through the website after having visited Red McCombs Toyota to inquire about a 2016 Silver Toyota 4 Runner 4X2 Limited Edition with Redwood interior without third row seating. Red McCombs didnt have a 4 Runner in stock with Redwood interior, however, they tracked one down in the system with my exact needs and said they could get it to San Antonio in few days. They gave me a sheet with the VIN number, MSRP, etc., however, they wouldnt divert it to San Antonio unless I was serious about purchasing it. I told them I wanted to wait to make sure I liked the Redwood interior before making a decision. They explained they had a blue one coming in this week and that I could come in to take a look at the interior. In the meantime, they appraised my trade-in and gave me an estimate.I began corresponding with Julio Cervera at Cavender who said there was a 2015 Silver Toyota 4 Runner 4X4 Limited Edition with Redwood leader interior on the lot and he gave me a quote. I told him Id like to come take a look at the interior to ensure I like it. I showed up at Cavenedar Saturday, October 24. Julio was tied up so he had Jesse Casillas take me to the car. Jesse was very nice. He showed me the 4 Runner, answered my questions and let me test drive it. I wanted to get a competitive offer on my trade in and inquire about Cavender finding a 4 Runner in the system that better matched my needs maybe even find the same one Red McCombs found. I loved the interior color and decided I wanted to proceed and purchase a 4 Runner. I had a couple of questions about my trade in so when we got back inside the dealership Jesse came over with David Reyes.This is where things took an interesting turn. David asked me if I liked the 4 Runner. I said I did, except for the fact that its 4X4, has third row seating, pin striping and was not a 2016. Other than these things yes, it was a great car. I asked if he could locate one in the area or find out if one was coming into Houston. He said he looked and there arent any coming in. At this point, I knew he was not being truthful because I had with me a quote on a 4 Runner that was scheduled to drop in Houston on October 27. I asked if he could look to see if maybe a Black 4 Runner with Redwood interior was coming in. He said, No. I asked, Are you saying, No, you wont look or No, you looked and couldnt find one?" He said he looked and there are no 4 Runners coming in with Redwood interior period. He said he could special order one and it would take 6-8 months to arrive.Baffled and still trying to process what he was saying, I asked if he could have someone look at my trade in and give me a quote. He asked me again if I liked the 2015 4 Runner I drove. Again I said yes except for the items I had just mentioned that I did not need/want. There was an awkward silence as he stared at me. I asked again if hed take a look at my trade. He asked if Id consider making a deal on the 4 Runner. I said I probably would not, however, I would be interested in purchasing a 4 Runner that better met me needs. I then said, Are you not willing to even look at my trade in. He simply said, No. David essentially refused to have anyone look at my trade in until I agreed to purchase a 4 Runner with options I did not need/want. He said it wouldnt do any good to appraise my car when it will change anyway before my special order 4 Runner would arrive (in 6-8 months). What he didnt realize, I guess, is that customers often make a decision about where to buy a car based on how much a dealership is willing to offer on a trade-in.His unwillingness to even LOOK at my car was crazy to me. Im hoping my experience was an isolated one. I left Cavender, went to Red McCombs and placed my order for the 4 Runner they showed was on its way to Houston. Red McCombs said there were multiple 4 Runners with Redwood interior coming in and I just needed to pick my color. My car will arrive in San Antonio in one week and I couldnt be happier. I explained to the folks at Red McCombs what had happened and they said its a story they hear quite often.In short, I went to Cavender to take a look at the interior of a 4 Runner, give it a spin and get a quote on a vehicle you would have to locate and divert to San Antonio. David made that impossible. He made my decision to leave and go elsewhere very easy. I have nothing but praise for Jesse and Julio. They did their jobs. They got me to the dealership. David got me to leave.I hope this feedback is helpful. So far, emails/comments directly to dealership have not been acknowledged.

I have purchased more new and one used Toyota's From Cavender Toyota than I can recall. That is not an exageraation either.I began with them 29 years ago. Milad Deais , David Dickenson, Frank Garcia, and D.J. Braxton have all made my experiences truly exceeptional. Others who have reitired as well. On the finance side Paul Garza is one of a kind when it comes to exceptional service.I expect to be treated well due to my purchase history and they have no problems doing just that. I am currently waiting for the arrival of yet another purchase that I ordered in September. I have checked in with Milad and Frank a few times as questions arose in order to insure all issues were covered in advance of delivery. Both have been very patient and giving of their time. You can't go wrong with these guys if you are realistic in your expectations and desirous of a fair and honest purchase experience. Having dealt with all of the other local dealer as well when Cavender did not have what I was seeking in stock has given me perspective on the buying experience. The other dealers were all top notch but just a tiny bit below Cavender. A few purchases at other dealers came close but Cavender is consistently at the top of the customer service game. That would explain why I have returned again and again over the years. Please consider giving them a shot at "earning your business". Many promise that but only one delivers at the highest level over time. Confidence, as they say, is Cavender.

I was determined to get a 2016 tacoma but didn't know which package i wanted and what they came with.there was very little info was out there for the public on the new model. I spent a week dealing with every Toyota dealer in town trying to get the best deal on a Tundra. I dealt with lots of bad and shady sales people at other dealers. I was very luck to get Spencer Herrera at Cavender and lucky that the sales team there gave me the deal I wanted on my new Tundra and on my trade-in. The finance also got me the 1.67% interest rate I wanted. Spencer was straight forward and communicated with me with countless emails and phone calls (before I even met him) trying to find the exact new truck I was looking for and he did exactly what he said he would do. The whole team at Cavender was great and I cannot thank them enough. I did not think I would get a new truck but they made it happen.

Allan McKay was a fantastic salesman. Very easy natured and very patient. We had to hunt for two of the used cars and he was calm and patient. I would absolutely recommend Allan as the go to salesperson for buying a car. His supervisor and he really worked with me. I have a budget that I need to stay within and they were willing to negotiate fairly. I was a little concerned before I arrived because I am female and by myself. But I had absolutely nothing to worry about. I have never been treated so wonderfully. Allan truly went the extra mile and I am so impressed. I will be going back! Len in the finance department of the Certified Preowned area was awesome! He worked diligently and was able to get a great APR for me as well as a fantastic warranty. Again, I was treated so fantastically. He was friendly, nice and had my best interest at heart. I was very impressed with how well I was treated and how much they tried to get me the best deals. The sales rep Allen did a wonderful job. No hassle. No pressure. VERY professional. His manager, don't recall his name but built like a US Marine... also was a no sales pressure guy. This is my third truck with Cavender and it all comes down to the guys in these two positions. Cavender Toyota should be serious about keeping these two. The 2015 Tacoma was a bit underwhelming as things turned out... seems to have dropped (owned a 2003) in quality over the last few years... nothing compared to the Tundra I traded. However, the sales staff were outstanding. I will be back in a few years for my fourth truck at Cavender Toyota in San Antonio but may have to go back to the Tundra for the quality.

We purchased a used vehicle in the evening. Had chosen them in part due to them being a certified dealer by USAA. Regret not sleeping on it. Discovered in better light the next day significant pre-existing dent and scratch less than 20 hours after purchase. We had specifically looked for damage and remarked to salesman about small damages found. Either he was unaware of the damage or he failed to point it out while we were looking for it. NO accident report was on the CARFAX report! Salesman was called when the damage was discovered to be told he was with a customer. Called back and asked to speak with a sales manager who listened and acknowledged my distress and he agreed the dealership would repair the damages. However, several days went by and we had to follow up several times and the vehicle was there three days longer than they said it would be. We were then informed when it was said to be "done," that only part of the damages had been fixed and that they were no longer agreeing to repair/replace the window where the large scratches are. When asking again to speak to the sales manager who had promised the repairs, we were again given the run around. We won't buy from this dealer again nor would be recommend it.On the positive side, the woman who completed our paperwork and explained financing options and extended warranty was wonderful. Very knowledgeable, kind, and helpful.

I was referred to this dealer thru CAR BUYING SRV from USAA. I was working with Sales Rep (Robert Tadefa) over the phone and thru email on a 2015 4Runner MSRP $35,438, on features and pricing. Robert sent me an email prior to me arriving that day on 7/21/15 with a True Car price of 33,562+ TTL for the vehicle. We all know there is always room for negotiating the price of a vehicle once you get there and sometimes theres a catch and tactics used by car dealers to get you in there and try to sell you! When I arrived there, Robert was friendly and polite showing the vehicle, but he lack true knowledge of the vehicle he was showing me which I was really surprised! However he was quick to try and say that all Cavender vehicles have a "Special added pkg". (tint,pinstripe,door edge molding) for only $777.00 in addition to the selling price. Heres the part that Cavender Toyota gets a dishonest and questionable on their practices. How can you try and charge a customer for a "Special Pkg" that hasn't even been added or installed on a vehicle yet, and not give the customer a choice or option to decline it. What happened to "Listening to customers needs and wants". After telling Robert that I didn't want or need this "Special Pkg" and I wanted to get his best bottom line price on the vehicle, so were not wasting each others time. He came back with a higher price of $36,215, (35,438+777) higher than what he quoted me on his email which I still have. At this point I am getting really annoyed and frustrated and losing the excitement of buying a car. Then a Mr. Brian Flethcer (team leader) comes over to ask the same questions that I had already told Robert which just makes things even more frustrating. To make a long story short these guys are a waste or time and lack the true values of 'SERVICE, LOYALTY, HONESTY, & INTEGRITY". Your better off going to another Toyota dealer down the freeway.

Excellent experience: First, they beat Toyota of Boerne's offer by over $1000; and they beat both Universal and North Park Toyota dealers' offers by $3,000. Based on their competitive pricing you should get offers from Boerne and Cavender and skip ALL the other high priced Toyota dealers in the greater San Antonio area. A Camry from any dealership is the exact same Camry (based on the options you chose), so stick with dealers who are high volume, want your business, and want to give you a great out-the-door (OTD) price. Financing was easy. I'm a 19 Y.O. service member and they got me 2.5% Toyota financing along with the great OTD price. Christian Ayala showed me the Camry I picked out online, test drove it, explained all the features and how to use them, helped me through the final negotiation. I signed and drove the same day. I spent six hours trying to buy what I wanted and not a corolla. The warranty was described to me and I agrred as I am not a mechanic. The cost of the car went up six thousand dollars to which I was unaware. I'm still in process of getting that worked out as I was not told the total price of insurance olicies like if you die the car is paid off, thats 1300.00. In my attempt to cancell these policies I felt bullied as a woman. My first oil change took over 4 and a half hours. When I got on highweay two hub caps flew off. I was told that they are made of plastic and this is what I should expect of a three year old car. I got a good interest rate because my credit was good, Not as a special favour from this dealership. I go to north park now.

I drove 4 hours to look at a car. Test drove it, i like it. But I saw a scatch on a passenger door, i told the saleman, i want them to fix the scatch. He wrote it down on a pice of paper. Asking price was 37,994.00. I made and offer 37,000.00. Anyway we went back and forth, i was at the counter talking to the saleman..told him i am willing to paid 37,900.00 (94.00 dollars from asking price) one of the manager very rude.. YELL OUT WE DONT WANT YOUR BUSINESS.. I wanted to buy the car for my wife. So i disregard his comment. Went back to the table. Agreed to pay 37,994.00. Come down to do the paper work, remind them about the scartch, they said NO....at this point i am done with this dealership. I GOT UP AND LEFT. AVOID THIS DEALERSHIP...

Car prep took a bit longer than expected, but overall a good experience. I would recommend Michael, and Cavender, to others. Cavender had better prices and a larger inventory of the cars I was interested in than the local Austin dealers.

Bought a used 2014 Camry from Cavender, the buying process was easy. No haggling and everything went smoothly and I got the car to how much I wanted to pay. Ruben Davila was helping us and this guy rubbed off on me differently, I got everything calculated correctly and he wanted me to pay $40 more on monthly when I showed him my calculations, he said he didn't calculate the numbers. The buying process was easy because I came in prepared, pre-approved by a bank and everything. Be careful to future buyers because they will do their best to get you. They also didn't give me floor mats which I thought was very unusual. After I signed the paperwork it's like they didn't care(more story ahead), I asked them for the mats and they said I have to buy a new one! So I went online and got me WeatherTech liners instead!I received my regular plates a month after I bout the car which is ok I guess. But what's not ok to me is that I had to wait for Cavender to submit the paperwork to DMV for registration change. I couldn't get my Veteran Specialty plates because the car was still under the previous owner 2months after I bought the car. I've been checking every week and so the 7th week I checked again, DMV said Cavender submitted the wrong paperwork and they had to correct it, which DMV was willing to do but I had to wait another week before I can try again. So 2months later I could register my plates finally! I could've gotten pulled over and accused of stealing the car!Cavender offered me .10% lower interest rate than my bank so I went with them. The invoice was sent 5days before the due date and I received the letter the day of the due date. I was able to pay on time, but CAVENDER is just sooo slow in processing things! It could've affected my credit score! Everything is just a hassle after I bought the car and felt like I was doing all the paperwork myself. I will never come back and buy another car from Cavender Toyota on Bandera. Hopefully I warn others out there of these possibilities!

His tone and demeanor told us to "leave and not come back." We were shocked, and before we could say anything, we were being walked to our car thinking "what just happened?" We couldn't believe that anyone, even a team leader, could be so rude. He didn't say, "sorry, you can't afford this car with that budget" or " it is out of your price range", or "why don't you look at this car over there?" We all new that the car had NOT indeed been sold. His rudeness told us it was a lie and we were no longer welcome there...Who does that?This is a warning to all conscientious and considerate used car buyers. Our experience was as normal as anybody else's. This could have been you: We found a car and price we loved at TrueCar.com, went to our bank and got a pre-approved loan, and prepared our current car for a possible trade-in. We thought we were doing the right thing and were prepared to buy, or wait, depending on how everything went at the dealership. We loved the car, waited through all the paperwork and questions, but when the price started going above what we had planned, we had to step back and rethink things. Apparently, they didn't like that, or just us, and decided to terminate the relationship-- like pulling the tablecloth out from under us at a restaurant!

We drove through the lot and found a Prius we liked. Then went back to the dealership and met Josh. He even drove us around the lot looking for a silver one like we wanted but we were more focused on the interior and got just what we wanted. There was never pressure by Josh just a very friendly respect. We filled out papers and that was a very pleasant experience with Jeff also, They really worked with us to meet our needs and by doing so . Made a great car sale. We were in and out in 3 hours. I don't know how they do it but I'm glad they do.

Recently totaled my 2011 Avalon and called all San Antonio area Toyota dealers to get info on 2011 and 2014. Told each salesperson that I was looking for their best price and that I would visit the top two as I sustained some injuries and was trying to save time. Visited one dealer and the salesperson was very nice and price was good. Visited Cavender and was lucky enough to find Julio Ortiz! He was professional, knowledgeable, experienced and honest (and patient). My husband and I have now bought 8 Toyotas over the last fourteen years for ourselves and children from several dealers including Cavender but have never had such an easy, pleasant experience as we did last week. Price on 2014 was about $500 less than other dealer and the 2011 was perfect and priced much less than prices I got over the phone by as much as $2,000. Feel like I got a great car at a great price but most of all found the best car salesperson in San Antonio!

Our test drive was great, we really liked the car and how it handled. It wasn't the color we really wanted and when we got inside it had splatter from a drink all over the place. Nevertheless we decided to talk numbers with them. From there our experience turned into an utter nightmare! We said if the numbers where were we wanted them and felt comfortable we would buy. Off the bat we named the price we could afford. The sales man said they wouldn't even discuss price unless they ran a credit application on us. So to be flexible we did and they only proceeded to offer us less than what we owe and lower than kelly blue book on our trade. Still no discussion of the price of the vehicle we were buying. Not to mention when they asked to see the keys to our vehicle to look at the car, they drove off with it without our consent and parked it in a overflow dealer lot across the street! Our sales man argued with us over our monthly payments and all we were concerned with was the overall price of the car. We flat out told him what we wanted to pay and what we were comfortable paying. When we wouldn't give in the salesman gave us attitude and called me a JERK! No matter what, you never call your customer a jerk because they do not want to buy something they are not comfortable buying, especially when it comes to paying the asking price for their vehicle! He never once told me the financing APR rate and then began to tell us what we could afford with our finances, which was a higher payment. DO NOT tell a customer what they can or cannot afford and then "suggest" they can refinance later so we can afford to buy a house when the time comes. WOW!! Yes he actually said that! He argued with he's left and right after we had told him time and time again that we were not buying after he had offended us and made us feel EXTREMELY uncomfortable. But we couldn't leave because they still had our keys. Finally I said after the FOURTH time, "Our finances are NOT up for discussion and we feel uncomfortable buying this car, we are ready to leave are you going to give me my car keys?" He got up furious, slammed our papers in the shredding receptacle and forcefully gave us our keys and said we were WASTING his time! UNBELIEVABLE!! I have bought many cars over they years and had NEVER been treated like this. Needless to say I talked to their floor manager. I HIGHLY caution people on Toyota Cavender dealership!

San Antonio Toyota owners beware! Cavender Toyota charges exactly 15% more for their factory Toyota parts than other area Toyota dealers. Red McCombs and Universal Toyota both wanted $102.50 for an ignition coil that fits an '06 Avalon - factory parts. Cavender charged $117.88. This same escalation applied to spark plus and rear brakes. To make matters worse, they also spent a lot of time trying to "upsell" services that you do not need.What people don't know about dealership service depts. is the service writers - known as asst. service mgrs. at Toyota dealerships - the service mgr and the GM all get a cut of the service bill. The more they sell - the more they make.The real tragedy is in many cases, the work you paid for was never done or done improperly to begin with.Also - ignore Cavenders customer service rep who like to chimes in to these negative reviews with her "we are so sorry you are not happy......". Anyone who believes her nonsense is too stupid to be alive.

Be careful about the service department. They are a "dust on the brakes" operation. You know what I mean. If they find dust on the brakes they recommend a brake job. In this case we brought in my 82 year old Mother's Corolla for a starter problem. Some guy named "Shawn" was our contact. To his credit, he recommended the car go back to the 3rd party mechanic to properly fix the starter problem. However, he called my Mother and recommended $800 of maintenance including "Carbon cleaning" the engine as well as a oil leak in the gasket that he claimed was draining into the spark plug (although there was never any evidence of smoke which oil in the spark plug and piston chamber would cause). We feel he took advantage of an older lady. We didn't want maintenance done, just an examination of the starter.

Mike Gonzalez gave my wife a great deal w/o wasting her time. He and other members of the staff went out of their way to show her all of the vehicles features. Cavender was the 4th dealer we went to. Our journey started at Toyota of Boerne which turned out to be a train wreck experience. Do not be fooled by their opulent environment. Beneath all of that is your classic slime ball dealership. I can't say much more than that for the other 2 dealerships we visited - Universal Toyota and Red McCombs Toyota. Both wasted our time and could not begin to touch Cavenders drive out price.

When my husband and I walked in it was very busy. Robert stopped to help us, asked us what we were looking for and went to go find some cars that matched out needs. He was very knowledgeable and didn't try to rush us or sell us something we really didn't want. Car shopping is literally the worst experience for me. I hate pushy salesman who try to rush you into making a decision after you looked at a car for five minutes. Robert was very patient and answered our questions with confidence. When it came to finalizing he provided us with different options and was able to get us a really nice deal. We will definitely be coming back here. Everyone is so laid back, you can tell they like their job and they actually care about getting you in the car you love as well as one you can afford.

I didn't know what kind of vehicle I wanted when we were searching for our new vehicle. We had been to several care dealerships before we stopped at Cavender. When we stopped by Cavender, we were promptly greeted and asked what we were looking for. As Christina narrowed our search based on our wants/needs we decided on the Corolla S Plus. Christina was VERY knowledgable about the cars Toyota had to offer and was very patient as I saw model after model and asked to see each one. She answered all of our questions right away and highlighted the new features of the cars. When we decided on the Corolla, she searched the car lot for the one that had the features we wanted but none of the "extras" that we didn't AND in the exact color we wanted. I never felt pressured and I was a GREAT experience! We would definitely recommend Toyota Cavendar!

I purchased my first Toyota Highlander in 2002. At that time the salesperson happened to be Spencer Herrera. I can not say enough great things about Spencer. He is courteous & respectful & very knowledgeable about Toyotas. It's easy to see that he believes in the Toyota company. I drove my Highlander for over 11 years & it was finally time to trade it in due to high mileage & needing some repairs too pricey to put into a vehicle that old. I had never forgotten the great experience I'd had, so I asked for Spencer the day I went to shop for a new-to-me, used Highlander. It was his day off & Ed Smith helped me that day. After looking at a few Highlanders as well as a Venza, I made arrangements to return the following day to meet with Spencer. My final decision was to buy a new 2013 Highlander, because the pricing was so good compared to a used one. This is our family's third Toyota with Cavender & we will continue to shop with them in the future. The service department is also a pleasant experience.

It was great to work with the Cavender Toyota dealership and Spencer Herrera, our sales person, for the purchase of our new 2013 Toyota Avalon XLE Premium Sedan on Saturday, December 21, 2013! We originally started thinking about buying a Toyota around March 2013 when I found Spencer's name on the DealerRater website. I selected Spencer because of his many positive reviews. At that time, I told Spencer on a telephone call that I wanted to look at new Toyotas at the dealership but we would not be buying then. I asked Spencer for a convenient day and time when he would not be busy since we were not buying. Spencer provided me with a day and time, and I went out to the dealership. Spencer spent about an hour with me where I rode in both a new Camry and Avalon. Spencer completely answered all of my questions; was extremely patient, and did not put any pressure on me to buy at that time. During the intervening months, I would call Spencer about different Toyotas and different newspaper/television ads. During each of these calls, Spencer was very responsive to me and answered all of my questions. On Friday, December 13, 2013, my wife and I decided that we wanted to buy a new 2013 Avalon based upon the $1,000.00 rebate offered during Toyotathon. I spoke with Spencer and several other dealerships, all of whom were all very nice to me, in order to price compare the particular Avalon that we wanted. Spencer provided me with a very competitive sales price for the particular Avalon having the features and color that we wanted. All negotiations for the Avalon were done via telephone calls and e-mail messages without making a visit to the dealership. We went to the dealership on Saturday to purchase our car, and Spencer sold it to us at the exact price he promised in his e-mail message. The make ready work on our car was great, and the make ready staff spent a good deal of time with us explaining the Avalon's features. Again it was a pleasure for us to work with the Cavender Toyota dealership and Spencer. In addition we love our new Avalon. I found an outstanding deal on Cars.com on a used Ford F150 with very low miles, in great condition and at a very reasonable price. I contacted the dealership through Cars.com and received an email back very quickly which began the dialogue about examining and potentially purchasing the vehicle. We arranged an appointment for that Saturday afternoon. After visiting with the sales staff and driving and seeing the vehicle in person, I was ready to purchase the vehicle. The only negative about the experience was that I wasn't able to drive the truck home the same day. The dealer required me to be the primary policy holder on our auto insurance since I was the sole and primary person financing the vehicle. I am insured but was not the primary policy holder (which my agent on Monday said shouldn't have mattered) but was able to change our policy on Monday and drove it home that day after showing proof of the change in policy. I would go back to this dealer and recommend them, just make sure whoever is financing the vehicle is listed as the primary insurance holder before you go to the dealer...

Made a quick 87 mile trip to San Antonio from North Austin, had three cars in mind-pretty sure one would be available. Sure enough, the Corolla I wanted was there so I just got it-at a great price! Everything was easily taken care of from the start and rather quickly. Service was great, they gave good answers to all questions and easily accepted my commands! There were no arguments whatsoever. Update, Steve Cavender took the time and made a bad situation right. He bought back the lemon vehicle and paid us the original purchase price. We walked away with the check for the full amount of the purchase price. We only lost the taxes title and registration of the defective vehicle. Mr. Cavender assigned the General Manager Marion to respond to our complaint. Marion was evasive, and very hard to reach. He never returned phone calls and was surly and disrespectful when he spoke to my daughter. We were worried there about the sincerity of the dealership when we had to deal with Marion, however, Steve Cavender came though and did the right thing. ******We purchased a 2008 Volvo in July,. We had it back in for service two weeks later, the air condition unit was bad. There was also a security system issue that they refused to repair. Last month we started getting a code for the power steering now the whole steering systems needs to be replaced. Don't buy from Cavender. They sold us a lemon and refuses to help us.Thank you to Cavender Toyota for doing the right thing. Steve Cavender and Julio Ortiz were wonderful.

I had one of the worst experiences in my life at this dealership last night... I wouldn't recommend my worst enemy to shop here. Well, unless I wanted them to stall him by keeping his keys and not returning them, as they did to me last night. I had to ask for my keys back at least 6 times before the returned them. I will be calling the local news stations about what happened here. Sad too, as I had a blank check to buy a car and would have bought it if they would have been even halfway reasonable and didn't produce an invoice that put options on the car that are not on it... even according to their own website! This was a used Ford Mustang... I was not aware "Power Seats" meant human powered. If you like someone asking you "why did you waste my time" and commenting that "if you had done your research, you would know that......" then this the place for you! Job well done Carlos Betancourt and Andres Delgado! You really know how to make someone feel welcome!

On Wednesday August 7, 2013 I called Cavender Toyota about a 2007 Toyota Rav 4. I talked to Kristi she said it was being painted. I called again on Thursday and this time I talked to Nick he said the car was available I explained that I would be by on Saturday Nick called and asked if we would be by to look at the Rav 4 I explained that I would be by there today. So when I was on the way there I called Nick and let him know I was on my way, and he helped me with directions. It took me about 10 to 15 mins to get there. When I got there he was busy so Adam helped me I explained to Adam what I was looking for showed him the stock number of the car. He was unable to find the car so I explained to him what I was looking for what payment I wanted the whole 9 yards. So Adam wanted to see our Driver License so we gave them to him. He then started to show us cars that were way out of our range we had given him. I explained to him that I was not interested. So we left Twenty minutes later I get a call from Adam letting us know that he forgot to give us back our licenses so I had to drive all the way back to pick them up. I will never even consider any Cavender Dealer Ship again. The Toyota Rav 4 in question is still listed as available I called they say its available.

My family and I were referred to Spencer by my sister and her husband, who have purchased THREE cars through Spencer! I am giving the rating of all 5's, because our experience was a very good one. We were looking for a car for our daughter to take to college. Spencer took the time to listen to what we wanted, and was diligent in finding the perfect car. Our daughter was allowed to test drive the cars, whereas she was not allowed at another dealership because she was only 19 years old. Spencer found exactly what we wanted (RAV4), and the price was very good, too. Spencer even came to close the deal on his day off. We walked into Cavender Toyota to look at and test drive the Pruis models.. We had also been looking at the Nissan Rogue at another dealer, and were basically debating between the two cars. We walked out with a 2013 Prius. The experience we had at Cavender Toyota was outstanding! We worked with Spencer Herrera who was absolutely wonderful! He is pretty much the anti-car salesman. He was super knowledgeable, not pushy, very friendly, and gave us space when we needed to think about the decision - pretty much everything you want when making such a big decision. There were no "deals" or big discounts on the Prius models. I guess that is just because the Prius pretty much sells itself - they don't have to discount them! This was a big difference between Cavender and the other dealership we were working with on the Rogue (Ancira). The people at Ancira embody the typical car salesman - really nice at first, and then when it was time to make a decision, we told them we needed a day or two to think about it. This brought on the sales pitches, added discounts (which were actually pretty sweet) and sending over the manager, director, etc to try to talk us into it. It was so much pressure and made us feel really uncomfortable, and in the end, sent us to Canveder to look at other options. I mention this because this was the opposite of the experience we had at Cavender....I felt that they were really upfront with us, and were offering us the best deal they had. So refreshing! I learned later that the salesmen don't get paid a commission based on price of the car (rather on units), so I feel this has something to do with them not being as pushy as other dealers.Also, their showroom is extremly nice and very clean. They offered us bottles of water and had a fancy coffee machine - always a plus! I would say the only "con" of the whole thing was how long the process was. We were there a little over 4 hours, and exhasuted by the end of it - but I guess that's just how car buying goes - nothing against Cavender. To wrap this up, I will say that out of the 3 other cars I've bought, the experience I had at Cavendar Toyota with Spencer was the best. I highly recommend this dealership. Oh, and by the way, we LOVE our Prius! We are very happy with our purchase.

The thing that stood out the most about John Green was that he was very helpful in answering all my questions and that gave me a peace of mind. I asked a lot of questions there and he maybe didn't know the answer to two questions off the top of his head but went and found the answer right away and he gave me a good explanation or walk through to the answer of my two questions. I was greeted at the front door by a friendly salesman, Jon Green. Jon asked pertinent questions to determine exactly what type of vehicle I was looking for. Then he checked the inventory and took me out to view several possible pickups. When I mendtioned that I had seen a specific pickup on Monday afternoon when the dealership was closed, he drove around the lot until that vehicle was located. Jon retrieved the keys, I test drove the vehicle, and we were able to conclude the sale later in the day. Overall a very pleasant vehicle buying experience. The only slightly negative experience was that it took over two hours to complete the make ready process for my new pickup, after completing the financing arrangements. Apparently quite a few vehicles were sold at exactly the same time and possibly some short handeded staff being the day after Christmas.

Michael was very knowledgeable about a lot of the vehicles on the lot. He helped me make an informed decision based on his expertise and knowing what my needs were. I feel that my business was appreciated and that he was concerned that I understood everything that was being explained and that I understood all the features that are in my new Highlander. I didn't feel rushed during the process, but at the same time he didn't drag out the purchasing process. Purchasing a new vehicle was the least of my favorite things to do, but after waiting 9 years from our last vehicle purchase I can honestly say it was a pleasant experience. i bought a certified toyota used vehicle, a 2008 fj cruiser that was filthy, the engine air cleaner and cabin filter were dirty and not replaced. one tire was not of the same model. but worst of all was the smell in the interior and how dirty the interior was. these problems should not show up on a certified used toyota. only good thing was the experience with salesman julio ortiz

I had purchased a toyota sienna in April 2011 and immediately after that i saw that the eject button on the DVD player was not working. I went back to the dealership and the salesman promised that I can get it repaired outside for a cheaper rate and he will get it refunded by the dealership. I got it repaired and submitted the receipt to him. He said he will call me back with the cheque. I did not receive any calls from him and when I called back, found that he no longer works for the dealership. When I spoke to another customer service person, he mentioned that it cannot be refunded. I feel cheated.

My wife and I went to Cavender Toyota to look at a Toyota Tacoma Doublecab with a four cylinder engine. We met with Brandon Price (Internet Specialist). Brandon was very helpful and made our experience a positive one which we would recommend to friends and family. He was respectful and courteous throughout the entire process. He was also very knowledgeable about the truck and explained the different packages. At no time was he pushy or pressured us to make a decision on the spot. Since they did not have a truck in the color that we wanted, he gave us an estimated date that the truck would arrive at the dealership and promised to contact us two days later to give us the price with the different wheel options. Sure enough he followed up with us two days later through phone and by email to give us the price of truck with the different options and to confirm the estimated arrival date. Based on Brandon's professionalism and the great price of the truck, we ordered it. Cavender Toyota is very fortunate to have someone like Brandon on their sales staff. Overall, we were very impressed with the customer service we received at Cavender Toyota and would recommend this dealer to any prospective buyers. It's the way car buying, and selling, should be.

I found Cavender when I did a Google Search for Scion in San Antonio but they did NOT come up until I entered "Cavender" with my search key words. Prior to doing that, Red McComb had come up, repeatedly, and so did Universal Scion/Toyota. Cavender not only offers fair prices for service, THEY ARE HONEST regarding what services need to be done and what do not need to be done. In my opinion and from my experience, Red McComb and Universal Scion / Toyota are consistently not completely honest, not forthcoming and their prices are very high.

I had to purchase a car because I was involved in an automobile accident and my car was viewed as a total loss by the insurance company, not because I was interested in a new car. I had my previous car for 8 years and would have kept on driving it because I loved that car. Cavender Toyota was a recommended dealership through the Costco Auto Program. Brandon contacted me to schedule a visit, assisted me immediately upon arrival, and I actually ended up buying the first car I really looked at. Paid a little more than I wanted, but the quality of the car and service was good, and the price and payment were doable. I was really nervous about going through the car buying process, but Brandon explained things, was friendly, and made the overall experience rather enjoyable. I would definitely purchase a car from him again and would make the recommendation to others as well.

I was very pleased with my visit to Cavender Toyota and the purchase of our new Avalon (the old Avalon is 13 years old with 212,000 miles and we're going to keep it!). I had searched for a new Avalon in Corpus Christi, where I live. I could have gotten a very good deal on a black Avalon, but I didn't want a black car. Peter Dunn found the silver Avalon I wanted and was in frequent contact with me about the purchase. When the car was delivered Peter took great care in explaining all the features of the car and it's systems that were completely new to me. He has also followed up to be sure I was happy with the car. I have already driven the car to Houston and back and made two trips to San Antonio, all in the 2 weeks since delivery. I could not be more pleased or proud of this quiet, smooth and beautiful automobile. Looking forward to a lot of good years, just like with the old Avalon, and I will purchase another car from Peter in the future when the time comes.Lela Gallo

If I could rate Peter any higher, I would. He provided the best car sales experience that I have ever had. We have previously purchased Dodge, Ford, and (most recently) two Hondas. Last week I went to trade in an old car and buy a used car. Brandon Price helped me but there wasn't a camry with milage below 20,000. He was kind,generous with his time and very professional. He told me he would keep an eye out for one for me. Later in the week, Spencer phoned me. I went back with the same old car this week and met Spencer. He had sold us cars in the past. From the monent we arrived at the dealership, we were greeted by three sales personnnel with a friendly "hello". We approached the receptionist,and related we were here to see Spencer Herrera. Mr. Herrera appeared promply and our negotiations were under way. It took us a couple of days...to strike a deal. ( my wife could not decide on the vehicle she wanted. Both were good) We found Mr. Herrera to be up front and honest. once we purchased the vehicle, Mr. herrera walked us through the vehicles options and equiptment...to ensure we understood how the vehicle worked. We will not hesitate to return to the dlearship for another vehicle. I delt with Al on line, and told him what I was looking for. He took the ball and ran with it, and out of 6 dealerships that I delt with online, he was one of only two that found what I was looking for, and Al gave me the best price, but most of all, as a person who is in the people business myself, I appreciated the fact that Al was a man of his word, and that he found what I wanted...no more and no less. Then when we got to Cavender to finalize the deal, everyone that we delt with was very friendly, and for the first time when buying a vehicle, it was fast, and my wife and I both never felt any pressure at all.
