I couldn't be happier with the certified pre-owned vehicle I ended up with. I usually find car shopping to be a nerve wracking experience, but James took great care of me every step of the way and made it a gentle, enjoyable experience. I was not sure what I wanted, and James was patient and accommodating during the entire process. I ended up with the exact right vehicle meant just for me and I can't stress enough how knowledgeable and helpful James was, he took the time to show me many of the features this beautifully loaded SUV has to offer, and I didn't feel rushed or pressured at any point. In fact this facility as a whole including all the others I interacted with were super great. Highly recommend! No regrets!

Recently purchased a new 2016 Honda Pilot and love it. Have had numerous Hondas in the past and have used this dealership for a long time. The sales people are so friendly and knowledgeable and the service people the same. In fact, the whole establishment does a great job of creating loyalty so that you come back year after year. We simply would not a buy a car anywhere else nor would we have our cars serviced anywhere else.

My latest purchase is the 2nd new car from Cawood Honda. My wife and I are extremely happy with not only the car itself but the service and professionalism of the staff. Upon arriving in Michigan, I have always heard people talk about Cawood Honda and how satisfied they were with the level of treatment they received. In fact I have talked to a gentleman who said his parents started buying cars from Cawood in the 1950's and have been with them ever since. Recently purchase a 2012 Tahoe from Ted Barrett at Cawood Auto in Port Huron, MI. Ted and the staff at Cawood were completely amazing from start to finish. Ted was honest and upfront with us every step of the way. He was beyond accommodating, going head and shoulders above to make sure that we were happy and felt comfortable with our purchase. If you are looking for excellent customer service and amazing detail work, look no further. I was hit in a parking lot damaging my tire, fender, side panel and passenger door. State Farm recommended Cawood because they are on the "TRUST" list. A tow truck took my vehicle to Cawood where Rob Radatz, the manager of the body shop, kept in constant contact with me regarding the progress. Cawood had my van for less than one week and when I picked it up they had DETAILED the whole van! It never looked that good since I drove it off of the lot at purchase. I.CANNOT.RECOMMEND.STRESS.ENOUGH. how amazing this experience was for me and my family. Rob Radatz cares and makes sure the job is done right. In fact, they even did an oil change while it was there - I still had to pay for the oil change; but just the convenience was awesome. I will take my van there from now on... other body shops make you wait forever... not Cawood!

I bought a 2007 Ford Mustang in 2010 and a 2015 Cadillac SRX in 2016 from Ted Barrett at Cawood Auto. There is no one I would buy a new or used car from besides Ted. I love both of my cars from Cawood and the customer service is incredible. I lived in East Lansing when I bought the Mustang and when I bought the Cadillac I lived (and still live) in Tennessee. First off, Nicole was amazing. She was an awesome communicator, upbeat, helpful and answered the questions we had. We are in the process of repairing our credit and the staff at Cawood found someone to finance us and we had an AMAZING apr. They were lightning fast with the paperwork and made the process easy. I purchased a Honda Insight. I have been buying Honda's for the past 20 years. I have never had anything but good experiences all the way around. I guess I felt that because of those experiences over such a long period of time meant that allHonda Dealerships were held to high expectations. Until I purchased a vehicle from this dealership I felt like my experience was good until we purchasedthe car and things that were listed didn't exist. There was no backup camera which is pretty important in this car (split window hatch back). We were only allowed to take a brief jaunt with the sales lady riding along. We discovered the blown speaker on the way home, and arriving home my son who is a detailer at a Ford dealership in our home town of Fenton told me that this one owner, non smoker vehicle was heavily smoked in. He detailed it again which consisted of Sprinkling baking soda all over the car and vacuuming it up over and over again. It still did not come out completely. I hope this was an isolated incident and reviews are read carefully but for me this was the worst experience I have ever had purchasing a Certified Vehicle.

I checked many other dealers close by but I felt like they were trying to thrust a deal into my hand. But at Cawood, there was no pressure of any sort. We had been looking for a used "small" truck and were told by a by a friend that there was a Ranger at Cawood had one at their lot. We went to the lot the next day and although we didn't think the Ranger was right for us, our salesman directed us to a GMC Canyon truck that had fewer miles, was in just-like-new condition, and for the same money. We were thrilled to get a truck in such great condition and for the "negotiated" -we paid for it and drove it home. Was very happy that the dealership had sufficient inventory to allow us to have choices.A great experience for us and we greatl y appreciate all the great work done for us by our salesman - Patrick Quade.

We were in the market for a late-model GMC Yukon XL to replace our well-worn 2000 GMC Yukon XL. Having owned a Yukon XL for over 16 years, we had a very specific list of features, especially a model that was recent enough to have the back-up camera as a standard item. We have bought two other vehicles from Cawood and have been very pleased with the overall services from this dealership. Dan in the Service Dept has helped me to keep my vehicles running and always gave the best advice with my budget in mind.We let Jeremy Dodder, Sales, know several months ago that we were looking for a 2015 GMC Yukon XL and he started the search right away. We also kept an eye on advertisements in online as well as print sources. We found the Yukon at another dealer and sent Jeremy a message that indicated this vehicle was exactly what we had in mind. Jeremy was able to purchase the car from that dealer and proceeded to work with us to finalize the purchase within a week. We are very pleased with our vehicle. The staff at Cawood went above and beyond to thoroughly check the car from a mechanical standpoint as well as make sure it was as clean as possible. When we picked the car up it looked like it never left the lot from the original sale. Jeremy worked with us very closely and kept the communication lines open at all time. I purchased my Honda Pilot Elite 2016 on line not even visiting the dealer site or take a look at the vehicle until the vehicle was delivered to me at my doorstep! I was given a run-around and taken for a ride by other dealers close to home until I found Cawood Honda in Port Huron. From the get-go, this amazing guy, Jeremy Dodder took good care of me. He is superb, helpful, honest, and professional beyond compare. I felt very relieved in an otherwise stressful car buying experience in dealing with Jeremy. He assisted me also in my car loan. He even promised me to have a lower rate than my approved bank car loan. In short, he gave everything I asked of him from the price of the vehicle to the price of its accessories and the lower interest rate. My Pilot was also delivered to me on time at the agreed date of delivery. I haven't met Jeremy in person at all. We communicated through e-mail, text and by phone. I haven't seen Cawood Honda at all. I recently was experiencing a concern with the mechanics of my vehicle and mentioned it to the service advisor, Paul Hoffman. After explaining to him, he was able to give me what he thought to be the problem, based on his knowledge of the vehicle and what he had encountered in the past with the same concern on my make/model of vehicle. It helps to have a point person who understands the mechanics of a vehicle and can be informative. Appreciate this type of service and the free car wash is a real plus.

Cawood Auto offered to purchase my son's truck, and he accepted their offer. After three business days they decided that they no longer wanted the truck, and would not honor their commitment to purchase it. My son unfortunately had put a down payment on another vehicle, privately owned, so that he would not lose the vehicle to other interested parties. As a result, he has lost his down payment. He is a young adult, who does not make much money at his job, so this loss has hit him hard financially. I will be/have been telling everyone I know to not deal with Cawood Auto. I know it's just a routine thing, getting an oil change and tire rotation, but they are always so friendly and they check everything out and I feel confident whenever I leave that my car is in good shape and I will be safe on the road. I have a long daily work commute, so that's very important to me. Also, the price is great. When the cashier told me how much, I said, "Is that it?" I had my 2005 CRV towed here with some transmission troubles, and after finding out it would be worth more than the car was worth to fix it I started looking at cars. I was originally looking at different makes and models but three days after dropping my CRV off, we had it towed back to my home. I have given a 5 star rating hands down due to the fact of when I walked into the used cars building there I was greeted by Tina Smart, and she asked me how I am doing and what am I in the market for as in a use car. Then I told her I need to look around first and she said take your time and let me know what you want and she will try and do everything she can in her power to get me into what I want and can afford. I looked over the used vehicles and came up with the Cadillac SRX and she too highly recommend that one for me also because I was looking for a SUV either with a 4x4 or with an AWD. Just so luck would have it this one has AWD because I tow a trailer once in awhile and also this is Michigan and you need a 4x4 of AWD to get around without getting stuck like chuck.She told me to take a test drive in it and to go show my wife and I did and she also loved it alot as I do, then she said drive it home for the night and bring it back in and we will at all cost get you into this one to which she did. She did not hound me in any way like alot of car sales guys do and she was very polite and easy to work with. Very dedicated to not only her job there but to me as a customer overall!!!She is very motivated and very professional at what she does and I just love the fact that the used car sales is run by all women to which I prefer to deal with, and so much more knowledgeable then any sales guy on any car lot I been to in my 53 years of living. This used car section here at Cawood Honda is the best of the best any where, you just cannot find another used sales lot like this one for this one is very unique and believe it or not people from other states come here to this lot just to buy a used car because of the quality of the service you get and the high quality of the vehicle you will receive!!! I am a Desert Storm Vet and was a Platoon leader and 1st Sergeant and Platoon Sergeant and I can only say that Tina has the utmost ability to conduct herself to the highest level of standards when it comes to doing her job she is held responsible to do. It is always service with a smile from her at all times, and if you ask her a question and she does not have an answer she will go get you one within a matter of seconds. Cawood Auto is a Port Huron, Michigan staple. Great service, staff and cars for as long as I can remember and I'm a baby boomer, meaning "older". The staff is the best around and they don't attack you when you walk in the lot or showroom. The service department is by far the best in the area as well as the body shop. When purchasing a car there is no pressure or "let me check with my manager" . Everything is explained in detail.

I contacted the dealership, after viewing the VW on the internet. Paul Keely called me back as soon as he received my email request to look at the car. The dealership is a friendly place in Port Huron. I live in Flint and they are worth the drive. What I admire about Cawood is the flexibility offered to customers. I drive a Hyundai Santa Fe, purchased out of state. For four years now, Cawood has been doing a full detail about every 8 months. The appointment is always a breeze to schedule, and when I deliver the car, a Cawood shuttle takes me home. About six hours later, a call from Cawood tells me the car is ready and the shuttle will pick me up shortly. The transaction completed, with keys in hand I locate my car.WOW! It looks new, clean inside, including all the hidden storage holes and pockets, the seat belts, the cargo cover - and outside, it sparkles. You would never know that the car is eight years old. I purchased a car from Cawood that was described as accident-free and clean. Well, almost immediately following my purchase I have problems with this vehicle. After my mechanic addressed those issues, he made it clear that my car had been in accident and had some sloppy repairs. Beyond that they described the car as clean, but after their deodorizer wore off, it became obvious the car had also been smoked in. In addition, we have had problems with a squeaky belt, brakes, etc. I would advise one be very careful if purchasing a used car from this dealership!

I have had a couple of different experiences with the staff with Cawood Auto and they were all excellent. I had to have some body work completed after being in a car accident and the body shop did an amazing job on the repairs. The car looked like new and there was a perfect repair to the part of the car that was involved in the accident. I have also had some maintenance work completed on my car also and the staff in service shop are top notch. I recently brought my car in for the routine maintenance work up and the supervisor of the the service shop noticed that the air bag for my car had been recalled, but I had not had it replaced (very embarrassing and critical oversight on my part). The supervisor brought this to my attention and took care of this issue for me. My wife and I also recently purchased a used car from Cawood also this past week. Kathy was our sales person and was very patient and helpful through this process. I really emphasize the patience because she did not use any high pressure sales tactics that we had experienced at other places as well as it took almost 2 weeks to complete the entire process. If your like me and fear the car buying process then you will certainly appreciate the upfront and honest approach that the Cawood Auto staff take. The staff in all the departments are friendly and professional, but also do it in a way that feels like family and friends versus a person trying to get your money. I strongly suggest you take a look at Cawood Auto for car purchases or even maintenance work you might need.

Kyle in the Used Car department was exceptional. We had very precise needs in the vehicle we were searching for and he came through. We went to 5 dealerships in our area to have a salesman work with us on finding an SUV that could be 4 wheel towed down behind a motor home. I have never been disappointed with the integrity of their Sales staff, or the quality and honesty of their Service Department. The Sales staff go out of their way to give you the best deal on a new or used vehicle. The Service dept. has earned my respect for being courteous, honest and professional. I left my car for an insurance repair. They kept it inside for over a week as the police report and the insurance company were terribly slow!! I was kept informed by the body shop how things were progressing and when they might be allowed to order the parts Once they got the parts the repairs were done quickly.When I picked it up , not only were the repairs done, but the car had been washed, cleaned inside, wheels polished and TIRES SHINED!!! Went into Cawood for a simple oil change. Came out with an oil and filter change, all fluids topped off, tires and battery checked and multi point inspection. Oh yeah, and they even washed my car! They had the vehicle that I was looking for, but they were pretty far away from where I live. I decided to just e-mail them anyway. Mark Ellis offered to have the car driven to my house (on a Saturday) so that my wife and I could test drive it. It was a fantastic car, and we agreed to purchase it. After some additional correspondence via e-mail and phone, they drove the car and the paperwork back to my house to finalize the purchase the following Monday. It was by far the most pain free car purchase I've ever experienced. Toss in the fact that the car was under blue book and I couldn't be happier.

I recently noticed that my Honda Ridgeline was over due for an oil change. Since I do have a long commute to work it is very difficult for me to get to the dealership during the normal weekday hours. I had decided it was a better option for me to let go of my 2004 civic with near 200,000 miles on it. A tree fell on my car and crushed the front passenger roof. I took the car into Cawood hoping that it would not be totaled out. The damage estimate was just under $15,000 to repair but it did not exceed the total out limit and they were able to repair it. It took 47 days to repair and replace all the necessary parts and I was in the shop 2-3 times every week checking on the progress. During this time the staff, especially Rob, was extremely friendly and helpful, always explaining what phase of repair they were in. I have used Cawood several times for my car repairs and will continue to do so in the future. I was told by Belle tire that I needed struts for a knocking sound in the rear of my car. I took it to Cawood for a second opinion and your service advisor, Dan Pelletier told me the struts were completely fine and that all I needed were a few worn out bushings. I said fix it and the knocking sound is gone. Thanks Dan your the best!! I know where I'm coming to for now on.

Although my wife and I had no intention of buying a new vehicle the day we walked into Cawood Honda, we had discussed what our nextvehicle would be and were glad to be able to see just what we were interested in. I returned to Cawood Honda due to my lease coming to an end soon and I wanted to test drive a few vehicles I was possibly interested in leasing next. Dennis was very patient with me as I was very undecided. He spent quite a bit of time showing me the vehicles and discussing my options. After I narrowed down the vehicles I was interested in leasing next, he went and had the monthly payments figured out for me so that I could make my decision. I returned two days later to turn my lease vehicle in and lease my next car. This is my second lease with Cawood Honda (Dennis) and I returned to this dealer because my husband and I had a very good experience with our first lease at Cawood. We live about 4-5 miles from Friendly Honda, but were happy to make the farther drive back to Cawood with our business.

I am always annoyed by car dealers that play a game between the sales person and the finance manager and the customer. I understand that it takes some time to get financial information on me but when they increase the time by going back and forth between the customer and the finance manager, I become irate. I have actually walked away from deals because of this.I did not feel that way here. Dennis was pleasant and I was offered the best prices right up front. Matt was very accommodating to help me find the finance plan that would fit my particular needs.When the deal finally boiled down to an affordable down payment and affordable monthly payments, I was shocked when the finance manager said that he found something that made the down payment even lower than agreed and the monthly payment lowered also. I really could not believe that they would go lower than I had agreed. To me, that is an honest dealer.

It doesn't get any easier than my experience buying my third Honda Odyssey from Cawood Auto. I went there because experience has taught me I would receive a fair price for my trade in, a good price for the purchase (without a lot of hassle) and the best service around for a Honda. I have dealt with Cawood for 14 years. Their service department is top notch. They even provide a ride to work or home and pick you up when your car is done or at the end of day if you're working. I have never felt talked down to by their service department. I have a friend who called from FL to ask advice from the Cawood Service Rep. She knew he would be honest with her. I just purchased my third Honda Odyssey from Cawood Auto. The whole process was a smooth as silk. I went in on Thursday and bought it that day. I did ask for a week to 10 days to sell my other Odyssey. No problem at all, just call when I was ready. I listed my car on Thursday night and got a call on Friday night. When the buyer wanted it Saturday morning I worried I would have to rent a car to get around for the weekend. I called Cawood and the wheels were turning swiftly. Since they had gone to another dealer to get the color I wanted, it needed prepping, but the team went to work. I was picked up at noon and taken to my new car. Everyone was so helpful. Matt in finance did a wonderful job explaining all the forms. No pressure anywhere. Jeremy Dodder was a great help as I tried to sync my phone to the car system. He had a very helpful suggestion about an accessory for the interior that I thought was excellent. I returned to Cawood to buy my third vehicle from them because I know they will give me a fair deal, a good price on my trade in and EXCELLENT service throughout the process as well as after.

I saw a car on the internet that I liked. I noticed that it was at Cawood auto. I called Cawoods and talked to Tom Denewith. He invited me to Cawood's to test drive the car. The next day I went up to Cawood's and Tom and I took the car for a spin. While we were riding Tom told me about the car, and we talked about price and financing. When we got back to the dealership, Tom let me look at the carfax and we went over all the info therein. Tom and I settled on a price and I told him that I wanted to talk to my wife before I made a final decision.The next day I called Tom and told him that I was not very successful when I talked to my bank. (The bank's APR was a little too steep to my thinking) Tom said not to worry about the bank because their financing guy Matt was very good at getting great deals for Cawood's customers. I said OK and a little later in the day Tom called back and told me that Matt had been successful in getting me the APR I wanted.The car I bought used was like new, not a mark on it. It had low mileage, was very clean, and drove like a dream. I was very happy when I picked the car up the next day. I would recommend Tom Denewith to anyone looking for a good car or truck if they want a good deal and someone to help you find that vehicle that would satisfy. Matt, their finance guy was great also, he answered all my questions and I was treated very well.

I have found them consistently reliable, trustworthy and efficient whether you have a Honda or another brand. At all levels it is a genuinely friendly dealership. Service work is done promptly, and they will only suggest extra work if they find and demonstrate that something needs to be done - there is no hard sell. Labor rates are competitive. The body shop's work is absolutely outstanding. Buying a new vehicle is never fun, but they gave me a fair value for my trade and cleverly obtained the vehicle I wanted direct from the factory and quickly. This is the second car I bought from Cawood. Why? 1. The service was terrific on the first car. They were always friendly and efficient. They would bring any problems to my attention, though problems were rare, and then fix with my approval. I loved the fact that they always washed the car when they were finished.2. The body shop was great, too. When they fixed my car, you could not tell that there was an accident. The price for this service was very reasonable. 3. I would have kept the first car longer, but I hit a deer and the insurance company totaled it. Where to go? I went back to Cawood because I was so pleased with their service. I had come to know their salesman Tom when he ran the service department and was very impressed. Therefore I went to him when I needed another car. Tom listened to what I needed and provided the right car at the right price. I would recommend Cawood to anyone looking for a car. By the way, that is how I found Cawood in the first place. I have always been very satisfied with the quality of service I receive and the fees that are charged to me by Cawood's service department. As we all know, it is not only the high quality of service one receives, but it is the respect that is given to the customer that also leaves an impression. People remember how they are treated and how they are made to feel most of all. I have always been treated with the utmost respect from Dan in the service department to the person at the parts counter to Lori who takes my money in the service department, and Matt who helped me with the financing and all of the sales staff. I always leave Cawood feeling good. In my recent purchase of a 2010 Honda Accord, I had to make several phone calls to Cawood and I want to make mention of how the woman who answers the telephone (sorry that I don't know her name) is very well spoken, polite and pleasant. In my line of work I know how important the first impression is and she is awesome. In my recent purchase I worked Tom Deneweth and was extremely happy with his service. He was respectful, not pushy or demanding, and always returned my calls and emails promptly. It was a pleasure working with him. I can't say enough nice things about Tom. I want to add that I am in no way "buttering up" for my future auto needs. I just feel strongly that when someone does a job well they should be recognized for it. My husband recently purchased a Honda Accord from Cawood Honda, and it was easily the best and most painless car buying experience we've ever had. The sales staff are extremely friendly, not overly pushy (which we all know can be difficult to come by in this industry), and worked very hard to ensure that we were getting the best car for the value and the best fit for us. Our company has bought 7 cars from Cawood in the last 2 years and we have had a positive exprience each time. Ted Barrett has worked hard to find the exact vehicle we were looking for and he has produced the vehicle every time. We have had no troubles with any of the vehilces we have purchased. I believe this is so because Cawood does an extensive job of examing the vehicles before they leave the dealership and into the customers possession. We will continue to purchase our company vehilces from Cawood Auto.

I have been to many dealers in the past but my experience at Cawood Honda in Port Huron was the best. The team makes the new or used car purchase one that is truly enjoyable. They make sure everything is right from the first visit to the purchase to the follow up service. I have now bought 5 cars from Cawood and would never go to another dealer. Cawood has been in business for over 90 years, and will be in business far into the future. Sales folks are service oriented and professional, and the service/body shop staff are honest and also heavy on the "customer service" aspect of their jobs! The facility got a lower mark because it does not have an updated feel - however because I live in the area, I know they are moving to their new site further north, time-dependent on the bridge project. Overall, EXCELLENT dealership!!

When I arived at Cawood I was promptly greeted by Jeremy. He is a very nice young person who gave me alot of information and never made me feel like I was being rushed to make a decision. I returned to Cawood 2 other times before I made my purchase. When I selected the Civic I wanted they did not have the color in stock and told me they would gladly go get the color I desired. I returned back the very next day to take delivery of my new car and was introduced to Matt the Business Manager. Matt went over all of my finance options and offered different available warranty options. I did purchase an extended warranty and felt that it was a very fair price. After the paper work was finished Jeremy introduced me to the Service manager then spent 45 minutes going over the manuals and all of the features of the car. I left very satisfied that I knew how everything worked and never felt like he was trying to just push me through the process. Since I left Jeremy has followed up with me multiple times to see if I have any questions. I have recomended Cawood to a number of friends but more specifically Jeremy! Thank You!

From the second I walked into this dealership I was treated with kindness and respect. Throughout the entire process I sincerely felt like the managers and Mark and Ted Barrett specifically, did everything they could to make the buying process go smoothly. I never felt pressured or uncomfortable which I experienced at a few other dealers before I went to Cawood. I never once felt like I was being "sold" on my 2010 Accord that I am so happy with. It really makes a difference when you feel like you are doing business with people who want to help you rather than just make a dime off you. I would recommend Cawood to anyone who wants to do business with a dealership that treats customers like friends and family.

Went there for a car they had in the sales flyer. Of course, the car was "sold yesterday" and was no longer available. The salesman then proceeded to try and sell me another car that I had no interest in. He and the finance guy tried to sell me a different car, which again I had no interest in. I wanted an Impala, but they said I wasn't able to purchase that ( which is odd since I had a pre-approved $30,000 loan). Long story short, they chose to push two different cars on me rather than the one I wanted (I'm guessing they would've made more commission off of them). As I was leaving, the finance guy was knocking on my window trying to get me to come back in. I will NEVER set foot on this dealership again! Waaaay too pushy!!!!
