It was fine. The only reason I'm not recommending anyone to your dealership is because you've sent me about 8 emails asking me to do this survey. I really didn't want to do this survey, however, I'm getting sick of deleting your emails. So, congratulations, I'm filling out the survey. Also, I'm never coming in again. I recently bought a car at Chicago Northside Toyota. I find the process of buying a car very intimidating. But the sales staff, and especially the sales manager, Mike Meah, could not have been nicer. They made the process surprisingly easy and painless. Mike went out of his way to answer all of my questions and made sure I ended up with the perfect car for me. I wish I can give them 0 Stars, My experience was horrible. I went in to buy a car. First of all they just had only one option for us. Secondly, We were treated so rudely, especially by a manager named "IMRAN". We said that we need some time to think about it and we will get back to them by the next day very nicely since the car had some issues with the brakes and it made sounds. His exact response was "You wasted the salesman's time and my time" rudely and said "IF YOU ARE A MAN, GIVE US A CALL WITHIN ONE HOUR TO LET US KNOW IF YOU WANT IT OR NOT". We won't go there ever again!!!!!!. I am sure they wouldn't have helped us in the future if we had bought the car. What are you there for if you think a customer wasted your time if he didn't buy a car right away.

Mr. Fortman was dishonest and said anything to sell the car to me. Once received, the car couldn't even pass state inspection. Entire staff ignored calls for help. General manager is Basich and after one conversation he won't even acknowledge your calls or emails. They act as if they are doing you a favor by talking to you or something. Will not give me the title for the vehicle. Save yourself the headache and go somewhere else as I'm still trying to get my car situation fixed through the courts.

I brought my Corolla in for an oil change on a Friday early afternoon for an oil change. I made an appointment prior to coming in, hoping that I wouldn't have to hang around for long. When I arrived (10 minutes early for my appointment), the person at the service desk acted as if I had not made an appointment at all. After bantering with a coworker, he told me that it would be 90 minutes. He also asked if I wanted a free inspection, which I declined. After an hour an 45 minutes, I went to the service desk for an updated estimate. Even though I could see my car clearly still being worked on, he informed me that it was currently being washed and would be back any second. I went back into the waiting room (which contained worn down chairs and did not appear to have the TVs or free beverages that were advertised online) for another 45 minutes before my car was finally done. In all, I spent two and a half hours at this dealership for a simple oil change that I had an appointment for. When I got my car back, they offered no apologies for my substantial wait time. Instead, I was told that I needed new tires and a new battery- even though I declined the inspection. My vehicle is only three years old, and a quick internet search implies that a battery should last well longer than that and the penny test showed that I still have plenty of tread on my tires. In my mind, they wasted a lot of my time and tried to sell me things that I do not yet need. I certainly will not be back.

I realized how glad I am to have excellent services at Northside Toyota when I had a bad experience at Jiffy Lube. I needed an oil change and was not in the city at the time. I was told I needed four new tires. I came to Norhside for a second opinion about my tires, but I usually go to Northside for servicing and any other auto issues. I appreciate the friendly interactions and the clear, honest communication. Turns out my tires were fine and have another year in the tread- I am so glad I came in for a second opinion! I also always receive timely service.

Sales consultant Gerri Victoria was very influential in the purchase of my XLE Camery sedan. Her knowledge of the various models, options,and accessories available, along with a test drive with a full explanation the functions of the vehicle, made my choice a rather easy one. Discussions with sales manager Bob Keissami in arriving at a very competitive purchase price and a smooth closing of the sale with Finance Director Scott Cogan made this a very pleasant experience. It appears that all representations made by the dealer's staff were true to their word. Equally as important to me was that no high pressure tactics were used by the staff in connection with this sale.

For the past 15 years, your service staff has solved my problems and maintained my vehicle with courtesy and responsibility. Because they have never taken advantage of obvious opportunities to 'up-sell' me on a service visit (e.g. "Maybe I need brake work" "We checked; and no you don't") I tend to trust their recommendations when they DO make them. They are competent, reassuring, and realistic about estimating the time service will require. This last visit was one of those diagnostic mysteries - the dashboard brake warning was on, and yet it was pretty clear to me even when I brought it in that the lights were functioning. It took a while but they found the single bulb among multitudes that needed replacing. Job done; car washed; $33. Off and running.

I've bought plenty of cars and always had the pushy sales people trying to keep you hostage until you buy. I recently had an accident and my car was totaled, I went to a couple different dealerships for the car that I searched online but once you get there lets just say the experiences were uncomfortable and frustrating. I nearly gave up on the car search but I decided to come to the northside toyota... I am so glad I did, i walked in and Gerii was my sales rep, she was so pleasant to talk to, she listened and took her time to make sure I was happy with the options, she was not pushy she just wanted to make sure that I had a great experience. The financing manager Mark was so efficient and helpful and he went above and beyond to make sure that I was comfortable with the numbers and got me the best deal by far compared to what the other dealerships were giving me. I fell in love with my RAV4 limited at the dealership and I continue to love it because of the experience I had there. I can honestly say I want to continue to do business with these people for many more years. Thank you both for being patient and understanding and making me feel good about my purchase. I am a very happy customer and I love my SUV!!

This was a fun experience. I started on 4/5/16, and after going back and forth about what I wanted and what I needed, Gerri Victoria (new sales associate) was able to find me exactly what I wanted. I do not have the greatest credit, but she was able to give me some great options for both leasing and financing (most places do not care to help you.) I ended up leasing a brand new car (4/7/16.) Gerri was great, she did not just sell me a car, but she sold me the service, and even gave me her cell in case I ever have questions. I was lucky to have such a great experience. I also met some other staff members, and they were friendly (not like other places who do not care about you if they are not your salesman) they were all so very helpful. I will keep coming back here and recommend that others do the same. Gerri and Northside Toyota, if you read this...THANK YOU!!! Seriously, I am pretty sure that if it wasn't for your patience and understanding, I'd probably be without a car or driving something that I didn't want.

I feel, and hope I'm right, that my car is serviced as it should be with efficiency and knowledge about my vehicle and honesty. I will and would know if I'm being hood winked. The service people know me because I've been taking my auto there for years even though I know an independent service garage that is very knowledgeable especially with Toyotas and other Japanese manufactured cars.....if they're still manufactured there. But the owner of the shop is Japanese American and si extremely good so I have an alternate to go to if I ever need to or feel that I'm not being taken are of properly at Northside.

I just left the dealership and couldn't be more disappointed. I plan on buying a car by Friday for a road trip I'm taking for the holidays. The internet sales person, Helena Angesom, was great and emailed me the specifics on a Camry XLE. She said the car wasn't on the lot, but she could have it sent over from a sister dealership. The color wasn't my first choice so I went by the dealership to see if there was another car in the color so I could see if the color would work for me. My experience in the showroom was without a doubt the worst I've ever experienced. The man I dealt with was dismissive, rude and totally uninterested in selling me a car and I'm paying cash. I show him the email Angesom sent me on my cell phone and ask do you have any car in that color; I just want to look at the color. He points to a basic white Camry and says that's what we have. I wait thinking there is going to be more, there isnt and I walk out the door. I will say their price was competitive, but with that service I'd pay more somewhere else.

I traded in my car for a certified 2012 Sienne LE that was by no means certified. The reason why I am saying this is because I bought the vehicle with an extended warranty (certified pre-owned program). The program can only be sold with an eligible certified vehicle. After finalizing all paperwork on the vehicle and waiting to drive it home, we were addressed by the sales person of the problems found on the vehicle we purchased (water pump leaking bad needed replace, bumper scratches needing paint work, dents on side, who knows what else). Assuming what the sales person said the vehicle, being "certified" had an 160 pt inspection so one would expect the problems were taken cared of before going on the market. I honestly did not know until later, that the 160 pt inspection included exterior condition and appearance (body free of dent, paint has even high luster, no scratches). So we were given a company vehicle to drive back home and our vehicle would be delivered after the issues were addressed. Upon closer inspection a few days after receiving the vehicle on a nice and sunny day. I found the paint job on the scratch repair was horrible. By no means was it smooth and linear like the rest of the paint from factory. In fact it was grainy like sandpaper as I ran my fingers through it and I could clearly see it under the sun. Coming from a big Toyota dealership I would have expected a lot better work. There were also big paint chips under the handle bars that weren't repaired in which should have been taken cared of. I believe this dealership did not give me what I paid for which is a fully 160 point inspected certified vehicle.Besides these problems the dealership employees were respectful and friendly.

I would not recommend this dealership to anyone. The experience was horrible. The salesman knew nothing about the car I wanted and even asked a porter if the car came with a certain feature. I did not get to test drive the car I wanted to buy and both the salesman and sales manager in charge of the used car lot talked to me like I couldnt afford the vehicle. Never again...

Friendly people, careless process. Unfortunately, my experience is extremely different from most of them listed in this web site.In April, we purchased a Toyota Camry Hybrid. Seemingly, everything was OK, exciting. We picked up the car on April 7, and a few days later we realized that the exterior protection was not made. We also wanted a theft protection (car identification JPS, if stolen). For the external protection, the Dealer's reply was; "I frorgot" but whenever you bring back we (my friend) will install the alarm and ID/location system also. However, my friend excepts only cash. I asked at least serial number or type of the protection system, but it was told us: "It is in our computer system here, thus it is registered. We believed that the story closed. However 10 week after the purchasing, no licence plate, no sticker and no Title received. Called back Jonathan (our dealer), and as happened twice earlier, he promised to call me back within a few minutes, but it did not happen, and I had to catch him late afternoon/evening. Answer was a very custom supportive: I checked that and everything is/was OK. The excuse not calling me back (from 9:05AM to 6:30PM): "I was busy, I had no time to call back". My temporary licence expires at June 30; what can I do? "Nothing, wait, and you will receive." Next week, I went to Illinois State building (licence plate and title bureau). Within 5 minutes (using the car ID no) it was found that everything was returned to Springfield. Friday (June 19) we received both the Title and Licence plate with the sticker, but not the City Sticker. The Title and address had two typing errors made by Tom Nicolau. He was very busy and evidently making insufficient attention what he did. However, City Stickier was not received. Back again to the City Hall. Different building and plus $60 penalty for late registration, although it was promised by Jonathan that absolutely everything is done. The alarm system was in the car (originally) and ID JPC is not. $650 is gone. May be an accidental occasion, but somehow I fill some coordinated set of mistakes/problems led to late time frame (over 10 weeks). CUSTOMER! Be extremely careful with Northside Toyota Dealer and Service! Eventually, I don't know which was and wasn't done on my new Camry, no list of external protection received. At the same time my old Camry needed a regular oil change, and the final amount with all "identified immediately necessary repairs" was $2,700. Hmm, one new item evidently never was changed. However, this new part and particular service (labor) are in their invoice. It may be also an accidentally surcharged item, but I hardly believe. It was a capital mistake to go Northside instead of Midtown Toyota. Absolutely opposite attitude and significantly more expensive.

In summer 2013 I brought my Toyota 4 Runner in for service and repair of some damage to a rear passenger door. Repair was poorly done to door and truck was returned (delivered to my house). Keys were left in the truck per instructions (i was no home). On inspection door repair was shoddy (gap in door panel) and door lock not operating. Repeated calls to Chicago Northside Toyota were not returned.I vowed not to return to the dealership. Just last week I received a post card from Chicago Northside Toyota Saying "let us win back your business". I called to get an estimate on 100,000 mile service and was told i needed to replace my "timing belt". I said that does not sound correct. Its a V6 4Runner and I was quite sure it has a timing chain. Was told repeatedly that "no, I needed to replace" it and its an $800 cost.I got off the phone called toyota directly and confirmed its a timing chain that does not require replacement.Just another example of the pressure and poor experience from this dealership. Beware and if able look at another area dealership to service your automobile.

I went there to fix a very simple problem in the car. after 20 minutes of coordination with parts shop and staff, the receptionist said it will cost about $400! when I went to the next mechanic workshop they fixed the problem by $50 including the original part ! It's not the first time I encounter such a problem. last time which I went there, the discrepancy between their services and the other certified mechanic workshop was about about $4000 !!! and dealership said they won't guarantee to fix the problem but the other certified mechanic in the city guaranteed it for 3 months! You can justify yourself about this dealership.

As I had only limited time, visiting every dealer in person and negotiating for price is difficult to me, so I tried shopping online by sending e-mails and making/attending limited phone calls.I did received reply, price specification and real e-quote from many dealers, but only 3 dealers were given real e-quote. One of them is the Chicago Northside Toyota. Mr. Omar and Mr. Lui were communicating with me and they assured they will beat any other quote, as they said they quoted me a good price. I know my price even before visiting the dealer and meeting any one at the dealership. Whatever they quoted in the e-quote, they honored that price. They were also ready to arrange a pick for me. After reaching the dealer Ms. Helena introduced me to Mr. Nick and he has taken care of me nicely throughout the purchasing process, he also made me to meet the directors and other top persons in the dealership. The finance personnel also very nice and got me 0% financing. Their communication was genuine, professional and with curtsey. I would recommend buying with Chicago Northside Toyota.

I recently purchased a 2009 Porsche Cayenne Turbo off of their used lot. This is a very high end vehicle and their staff was great throughout the process. They have some very nice high end vehicles on their used lot and I highly recommend you check them out. My car lost all power near the corner of Hollywood and Broadway in Chicago's rush hour. I noticed the Toyota Dealership across the street and ran there for help and three salesmen said they'd push my car into their lot. Then the owner, who suddenly appeared, told them to go ahead and help me. When they pushed my car out of the traffic into a parking space in front of the dealership, one of the salesmen, Corderro, or Big C as he is called, asked me, "Why don't you buy a Toyota?" Although I was very stressed out because I had to deliver some important papers to my job, I did consider the idea. Then Big C and the other salesmen tested my battery, which was fine, and told me I needed a new alternator, although I'd bought a new one last summer. "Why don't you buy a Toyota?" Big C asked me again. But I had to rush to the bus to get to work on time; however, a woman at the bus stop who I told my story to, said it was a sign I should buy a new car. I realized once I got to work that it was the right decision, so I called Big C and told him I'd be in the next day after work, I did just that and Big C more or less nudged me into making the best decision about which car to buy. In the end, I can only conclude that the man was born to sell. He's not only assertive in a professional way, but he understands the customer's needs. The dealership itself also goes beyond being professional; they're there to establish a strong relationship with their customers.

I stopped at Chicago Northside Toyota and due to Mr. Corderro Covington's (sales man) professional approach, professionalism, simile, car sales knowledge, costumer concerns, and appearance. I refused to continue looking at any other Dealerships I have purchased a lot of vehicles in my time. I have purchased new, used and vehicles from personal owners and never had a sales person with the positive attitude that Mr. Covington have. As a result of his (Corderro's) costumer service. Received an outstanding e-offer price on a new 2014 Corolla L Eco which included a $500 Toyota rebate. Completed online finance application. Called by Internet salesperson Helena Angesom and was told we qualified for a interest rate between 5.9% and 7.9% (our credit isn't very good at the moment). Told Helena we would be driving 300 miles (about six hours) the next day to buy the car, and made an appointment for 2 PM. Arrived at dealership approximately on time (maybe 15 minutes late due to Chicago traffic), immediately turned over to salesperson Dennis Orihuela. Dennis was extremely courteous and professional, a very pleasant person to work with. However, they had no paperwork prepared ahead of time for the sale. I understand that they had not had the opportunity yet to sell us any add-ons like paint and fabric protection, but they could have revised paperwork if we had indeed been interested in buying such things. Dennis asked for copies of pay stubs and a utility bill. Wait a minute, no one had told us over the phone we needed to bring these items! Luckily, we were able to pull up copies online and print them out. After doing this, Dennis came back and told us we qualified for a 6.7% interest rate, which jived with what Helena had told us. I guess they were busy that day, but we spent THREE HOURS in Dennis' office (with our 7 year old child in tow) waiting for paperwork to be prepared and for our turn with the finance manager, after we had already agreed to their e-offer price the previous dayWhen we finally get into Finance Manager George Wegener's office, he told us the rate would be 12.45%!!! I had made the mistake of telling Dennis that I planned to re-finance the car with my credit union once we got back home and had time to go through the CU's loan approval process. I started to raise a stink about the rate and what we had been told verbally by both Helena and Dennis, and Sales Manager Ben Shenk was summoned into George's office. I was then told they could offer us a 5.9% rate IF we let the dealership keep the $500 Toyota rebate that had been included to lower the e-offer sales price of the car. Say what you want about our bad credit, but if Toyota Financial Services will give us a 5.9% rate, by God, our credit qualifies for that rate regardless of what George tried to spin. This was clearly a ploy to "put more profit back into the deal at the last minute" by the dealership. I refused, and will refinance the car with my CU. George then had us start signing things on an electronic pad, without showing us the details of what we were signing up for. "Just go ahead and sign, it's nothing", or words to that effect. I don't think there was really any funny business going on (this time), but I resent being told to sign anything like that without reading everything word for word first.After the sale was completed, I received an email from Jenni Tuton saying I'd be receiving something in the mail to rate my experience with the dealership and she hoped I could rate them all "10s". I sent her an email back explaining that I couldn't do that, in fact my experience with the finance department would rate a zero, and described my entire experience at the dealership. She called and over several phone calls we discussed things. I can kind of see her point about why the dealership wouldn't have the paperwork pre-prepared (though the three hour wait, after I had already completed the online credit application, was still completely unacceptable and made the experience anything but hassle-free). After contracts are signed, there's nothing she can do about what happened in the finance manager's office regarding the jacking up of the rate, but she never got/gave me a good explanation of why Helena and Dennis both verbally told me we qualified for one rate and then George practically doubled it. She did say she would look into why George didn't turn his computer screen toward us so we could see the language of what we were signing contract-wise on the electronic pad. Funny, I've never received that Customer Satisfaction Survey in the mail either.All in all, I have to rate my experience as average. On the one hand, I got a truly outstanding price on the car. With the Toyota rebate, I got a brand new base 2014 Corolla L Eco for $2600 under MSRP (this was a couple of days prior to the end of the first fiscal quarter, so inventory taxes may have motivated them to make a sweet deal). And everyone I dealt with (even George and Ben) were extremely friendly. But the jacking up of the interest rate at the last minute was typical dealer trickery to take more money out of the customers' pocket. I made a couple of classic mistakes...I told Dennis that I was planning on refinancing the car with my credit union, and I had given Dennis our $3500 cash downpayment. Had I not done the latter, I could have walked out of the finance manager's office (or at least threatened to) for the trickery they pulled. Once they have your money/the keys to your trade-in/etc., they can keep you at the dealership for hours at their mercy until you cave in or break down. I urge every car buyer to read the book "Don't Get Taken Every Time" by former car salesman and dealer Remar Sutton. He will give you insight on every trick in the book that a car dealer will use to get the upper hand in a car sale and how they will extract as much money from you as they possibly can. By learning these tricks, YOU can control the sale and buy the car on YOUR terms, not theirs.

We stopped in to test drive and ended up buying. The process seemed to take a long time, but the managers were actually taking a while to get us the zero percent financing, which our credit didn't immediately qualify us for. Our salesman, Rich, was not only knowledgeable and personable, he was calm and helpful rather than pushy. This is a tiny little place squeezed between two other buildings on the far north side. If you're looking to help out a small, neighborhood business, come here. You can get a good deal because they're pushing for volume more than price and because you're not paying for a huge showroom. If you're looking for a toyota, stop in and see Rich and northside. I know we'll be back for our next car.

2 years ago we had a very bad experience with this dealership when we were looking for a Toyota Prius 2012. We ended up getting it from Grossinger in Downtown Chicago.This time we wanted to give them one more chance. We found a Toyota Highlander 2013 on TrueCar and took the certificate to them and they honored it. No price Haggling No Pressure. It was a very easy and fast process. I don't know I should thank Raul or TrueCar. Finance person didn't pressure us with extra useless warranties. We signed couple of papers and it was over with. We got the Keys and drove off. Highlander is a Great Truck.

I took my 2011 RAv4 for its 30,000 check up. I had a 7am appt and planned to wait for my car. I was greeted promptly when I arrived by Mike who took down my information and then checked to make sure there were no recalls...after that he let me know that someone would look over my car and he would come back with what needs to be done. He led me into a comfortable waiting area that had free wifi so I was able to work while I waited. It was about 20-30 minutes and then he returned sat down next to me and explained everything that would be done as the standard 30000 check up and then a list of some things that should be done to enhance my cars performance..everything he mentioned made sense even down to my windshield blades which should be replaced and I agreed as I had been using more windshield fluid to keep my windows clean..also the tire rotation and balance made sense because I had noticed sometimes the ride felt a little uneven (of course I didn't mention any of this because being a previous Passat owner you learn not to mention anything that is a "little off" unless you're prepared to pay big bucks) Volkswagon makes good cars but service and cost are another matter. Anyway this is the 1st Toyota I have owned and thanks to the way everything has been handled I know I made the right choice! In these economic times it is nice to find somewhere that makes you feel your money has been well spent! This whole experience has been awesome!!! From the time I arrived to the follow up call today from Marcos to find out how my service visit went .The service staff was efficient and finished within the timeframe Mike had given me everyone professional and courteous .I am one of those people who when I find something done well I like to make sure it gets known. Thanks Northside Toyota see you in August for next check up.....Job well done!!!!.

Despite of all the reviews I went there to lease a new Prius. I got introduced to Alex. After driving a Prius C and a Prius 3 I decided that I will go with with the Prius 3. There was absolutely no pressure from the salesman. Before I visited the dealership I did researches on the web on the Prius and what kind of taxes I will have to pay and what to expect from a dealership.It's really important that you educate yourself about what you want to buy even if it's a small thing. I didn't trade in my car and I wanted to pay through the bank so this way I don't have to rely on their financial department. Alex helped me so I got Toyota financial's help and I had to pay 0 down and 0 interest for the whole price of the car because I had good credit. I also purchased extended warranty on the car because I knew that servicing the car can be a bit pricey. We setup the payments for 5 years and I drove home with my new toy. I do rate 5 stars to this dealership because I feel that I got exactly what I wanted. I can't say anything about their service department but if I'll have to go back there I'll definitely write another review good or bad. . Overall I would recommend this dealership to buy a car from.

Terrible car buying experience! Internet dept misquoted on the car we wanted to buy. We drove 2 hours to get to this dealer and when we got there they wouldn't honor their price miscue. They also low balled us on our trade by $1,500. The guy Jason try to lie to me several times and everytime I called him on it he would start sweating and rubbing his head. This man is not very smart and he obviously thinks his customers aren't either. He didn't seem to care about mine or my families needs at all. I wasted 2 hours driving to this dealer, 2 hours at the dealer and 2 hours driving back home. 6 hours of my life I can't get back. Heed my warning and stay away. 2 days later I spent less than half of that time at a toyota dealer and got yhe deal I was looking for.

I had a horrible experience buying a 2013 Corolla on a Saturday. The sales rep would not answer any of my questions in a straight forward way. He kept me waiting two hours to see the car I ordered online. He then took me out to the dark garage at 8:30pm after closing and told me I could test drive the car home. It had a horrible moldy smell but I was unable to return the car until the following Monday since they are closed on Sundays. I demanded my old car back but they refused. I kept complaining loudly that they sold me a used smelly car as new. They finally brought me another Corolla that really was new (no odor, plastic still on the seats). I left a message with Jenny Tuton the alleged customer service representative but she never called me back. I guess she really could care less. I intend to report this horribly unprofessional sale to the corporate office here and in Japan. Toyota is no longer on the top of their game and they are getting worse and worse. It's too bad because they used to have such a good reputation. On another note, my experiences with the service department has always been highly professional and positive in the past.

Deeply regret to visit this place for shopping cars since it is a very disappointing process. Here is what you will get, 1. Do not trust the their price you find on the cars.com because they will tell you up-front that the price on cars.com is wrong because of the faults of cars.com and gave you a higher one. Doesn't it feel fishy now? 2. Do not trust their carfax data since my own search turns out two differences than the sale's story. The source of the car is not the same and the up-to-date mileage from carfax is higher than what they put on the cars.com and odometer. Doesn't it feel fishy again?! 3. It takes a while for the sales to find the car from a spaghetti mixture of used car in their garage. Remind me of the boy's dorm in college. Does not look like they are professional in doing business and provide services. Up to now, your alarms are all red and be careful to what they are going to tell you. 4. When it comes to bargain, the sales will end up saying that they will generously honor the "so-called wrong" price on the cars.com and that is all the negotiation room you can . So you get the reason of bullet 1 mentioned above. Sorry I am wrong because the sales will give you additional $1 off to show their flexibility in bargain. From beginning to the end, the only trustworthy feeling I get from the sales are his claim that he can make big money from this job. That is really from bottom of his heart! Recommend serious buyer to avoid this dealer and you are on your own risk when dealing with them of course.

I was shopping for a car for my daughter in college. Saw a 2008 Toyota Yaris with low miles. It did not have any pictures with the listing because they had just gotten the car in. I was 120 miles away and could not see it in person. Mo sent me pictures and answered a lot of questions. I ended up buying the car sight unseen because it would have not been there by the time I could get there. Was a little nervous about what shape the car would be in. No need! The car is 5 years old and looked brand new! Mo had fixed the bumper, got me another key and we sealed the deal. Needless to say, my daughter was over the moon happy. Dennis was great! We originally came to just do a test drive. He took us through a test drive and showed us 2 different prius'. He even walked through financing options with us. He was able to give us a great deal on a new Prius C. Dennis walked us through all the options and paperwork and once it was time to drive off the lot, he took the time to walk me through how to operate our brand new vehicle. Called ahead and spoke to Salesperson named Cordero. Talked to him and specifically asked if I could come and test drive/view 2 Toyota Sequoias. He assured me that they (2) were on the lot and would be available. I get there and he has no clue where either of the units were located. I got the run around big time. He took me to all of their lots looking for the 2 trucks and after about 30 minutes was told that both trucks were out for service. His customer service skills are sorely lacking and his knowledge of the business is questionable at best. He seems to have no clue about their inventory or whats going on at the dealership as far as inventory. Avoid this place. Do yourself a favor and find a Toyota dealership that has a clue about customer service.

I called on the phone to inquire regarding a used vehicle found on an internet search and Moe picked up the phone. He was very helpful and knowledgeable about the Highlander and gave me as much information as he could while answering all my questions. I wasn't sure if I was going to make the 2 hour drive to the dealership to check out the car, but my wife convinced me, and when we showed up Moe remembered our phone conversation, my questions and the vehicle. He was extremely helpful ensuring that all our needs were met and we were happy customers. He's very straight to the point, no fuss or gimmicks, which we appreciated. He took the time to go through all of our options and show us the different vehicles we were interested in (my wife and I are fairly picky). After the long process of choosing a vehicle we were running short on time. Moe made his best effort to expedite the process so we could get out of there and pick up our child from daycare on time. Also, upon leaving we forgot a few items in our trade-in and called Moe to see if he could help us retrieve them. He immediately got our items out of the car and held onto them until we returned to the dealership for some installations. Moe's customer service was exceptional and my wife and I highly recommend working with him.Our overall experience with the dealership was good. The only issue we had was working with the finance guy. He is very asinine, condescending, and ignorant. I understand part of his job is to try and sell us a warranty, or as Toyota calls it "certification", but his approach is very condescending. To make a long story short, he proceeded to "educate" us that no one in the world except a Toyota dealership can work on a Toyota (not even a certified mechanic). Therefore we "have to" get the warranty. Also, he forced his opinion on me that I am obviously incapable of fixing anything that goes wrong with my Toyota and I must bring it into a dealership. Forget the fact that I have my PhD, am a scientist, and have been working on cars since i was a kid. His xxxxxx remark was to my wife indicating that she couldn't possibly work on the car because she's female (yes, he said that). Not to mention she has a masters level education, but we didn't go there. He continued to tell us that if we don't get the warranty that we'll have to pay for over $100 for a headlight if it goes out like he had to in the past. He obviously has never worked on a car in his life nor does he know any auto parts store can sell you a headlight and it takes minutes to install. We just wanted a price for the warranty, but he continued his speech on how we're incapable people and "need" the warranty. So we tuned him out until we got the price... finally. He definitely left a bad taste in our mouth. Don't remember his name, but he has a thick German accent and white/grayish hair. Again, Moe was phenomenal and I would happily work with him again in the future. However, try to work with a different finance guy if they have one.

When my husband and I call NorthSide Toyota to speak to a sales respresentative, Demetrios Anastopoulos answered the phone. He was attentive and professional over the phone. When we arrived at the dealership, the Land Rover we wanted to test drive was already sitting out and ready to go. However, besides the Black Range Rover being the car of my dreams, the real selling point was the overall personality, honesty, genuineness, and authenticness of our sale rep, Demetrios Anastopulos. In addition, he had just recently started at NorthSide, (which he shared with us up front) so therefore, he periodically had to gain the assistance of his Manager regarding some of the paperwork, which we thought was a reflection of his genuineness and humbleness. Throughout the whole process, Demetrios was outstanding, personable, and sincere. He was just the best ever, and we told him that. My husband and I were honored to be part in his first sale because he deserved it by way of his professionalism and how he came across as a human being. When it was time to walk us over to finance, Demetrios introduced us to Tom Nicolau. During the financing process, it was Tom Nicolau who made that experience special. We had to wait a bit to see him, for the dealership was very busy. but Tom was worth the wait. He was thorough, expert in his position, and again, personable. I found the '06 toyota highlander hybrid on an internet search. called your dealership and spoke with Moe Mustafa. He did a walk around on the phone with me and answered my questions and assured me that the vehicle was as good as the pictures on the internet showed. I asked him to hold it for me, and he agreed to give me time to make the 2hr 40min trip to come see the SUV in person. Friendly and relaxed, he showed me the vehicle again, demonstrated some of the options, and answered questions or made note of them to get the correct answer for me.Once I decided to purchase, he filled the tank, set me up to talk with the finance officer, and even took notes on what vehicle I would be looking at 2-3 yrs down the road.After the purchase, he followed up with a phone call and an email to be sure I was happy with the purchase, and had not had any issues on the way back home.I would recommend working with Moe to any of my family and friends looking to find a good deal on a good vehicle, and plan to look him up in 2-3 yrs to see if he has my next car waiting for me again.

Hello:I had a wonderful experience as always at Chicago Northside Toyota on January 23, 2013. I was there for service work on my PCV valve replacement, APP engine flush, oil flush, 2C minor service/filter/gasket, and left headlight replacement.Antonio Comacho took good care of me and has a great sense of humor. Actually, all of the employees were friendly and helpful. Everyone was courteous and respectful. I felt that I was given expedient service and consideration. I thought that Antonio was very understanding and thoughtful about my financial situation. What really impressed me was how quickly they were able to track down and have delivered some parts for my 1995 Toyota Tercel. I did not have to wait long and it is wonderful that there is a nice TV waiting room for customers.I also saw some wonderful familiar faces like Throng, one of the head mechanics. I've been coming to this dealership/service department since the 80's and I am loyal to Toyota. What a feeling!! :)Marcos Valle is a great customer service rep. We went to this dealership almost by accident. My Mother-In-Law had her Toyota serviced here and she was happy with that department, so we knew of them. The sales team, including Jonathan and his managers, did everything possible to get us in the vehicle with the options we desired (Camry SE loaded). We had done extensive research regarding our trade and the price of the new car. They matched, or possibly exceeded (one never does know), our expectations. We would highly recommended this group. Although everything was great, there is one suggestion that I have. Sales person or even better accountant who is issuing the plates and sticker for new car should remind or have some kind check list for new owners that they need to buy window parking sticker (Chicago residents) immediately. You can even promote our neighborhood currency exchange that is right next door to your store. Unfortunately, me and my neighbor that have just bought the new vehicle from your dealership received $200 parking violation from Chicago police. Responsibility is on us, however, you could have remind us of all necessary stickers and documentation that is needed to be legal on Chicago streets. Thank you and I hope this message will help future customers to receive full information about all necessary stickers.

I didn't realize the type of car I needed because of my job relocation and the miles that I needed to drive. I purchased a Prius C at the end of October, and put on so far 5926.1 miles. The computer in the vehicle registers that I've spent so far is $466.97 in gas. My budget is very tight, but I've managed to save money just before Christmas. I spend in gas just .08 cent per mile every time I drive my car. Thanks Toyota!

What a pleasant surprise this dealership was. I walked in and was immediately greeted by Richard Bertsche and told him of my dilemma. I had just bought a 2012Rav4 and needed something smaller so that I didn't have to step up or down out of health reasons. He showed me the Camry Hybrid and I was sold. We took a test drive and I told him if the price was right I would in fact purchase one. He found my color but I wanted leather and a moonroof. He said no problem and brought out different shades of leather and informed me that he would install a moonroof. After picking the right color , I was ready to purchase. Richard showed me that I actually save two thousand dollars from the retail price. I also qualified for.09% . I quickly went through finance and was able to pick up my new vehicle in 4 days with the leather and moonroof installed. That must have taken coordination and teamwork. I couldn't be more thrilled thanks to the team at Chicago Northside Toyota. Thanks everyone.

I traded-in my 2011 Camry LE for a leased 2012 Camry SE. I was in and out in less than 1.5 hour. I believe I got a great vehicle and a great service. Look at their reviews on Yelp and also here...they have very poor reviews. I bought a car from these guys online. Over the phone I was told by my very pushy sales rep (Chris Tate) that this BMW 645CI COUPE is beautiful. They rushed me into putting a deposit down for $1500. It felt as if something was wrong but ignored over 100 negative reviews and decide do fly from Texas to Chicago. As I got to the dealership, car's trunk smelled like it had water in it for month, it was rusted, totally flooded out. Chris Tate and the sleezy sales manager tried to convince me that it was the detail which caused the smell. Well not being my first rodeo I asked them if I can get the car inspected- at first they resisted but finally allowed to me to drive this $30k BMW to a nearby European repair shop. Turns out - The car had major flood in the trunk, the fuses were all under water at some point, were oxidized, major rust in the trunk, the rear two tires were worn out on the inside, rear suspension needed major work - and the computer was giving error codes for a bad battery and alternator. I understand the normal maintenance issues such as tires getting worn out due to perhaps bad alignment but they withheld the flooding from me. When I returned, Chris TATE my all honest saleman (Crook) replied "Your mechanic is an idiot" later he followed with "let me guess he also told you the car was flooded" to which I didnt bother to reply. This was not 5pm I was stuck in Chicago - when I asked for a ride to the airport I was told to take a CAB. Which I did to the tune of $55. Bottom line - All these reviews are here for a reason. I should have known better but bought into the sales pitch. They refunded me the deposit but this is one of the worst places. The mechanic shop I went to told me as well that they have a lot of issues with that dealership - the tech pointed to reviews. DO NOT BUY THIS BMW FROM THEM YOU WILL GET SCREWED. CAR IS A JUNK HERE IS THE VIN FOR THE BMW 645CI WBAEH73464B215394. ITS A 2004 WITH 68K MILES, EVEN THOUGH THE AD SAYS 51K MILES. CARFAX AND AUTOCHECK ARE CLEAN BUT YOU WILL BE BUYING JUNK. This was the worst experience buying a car from them. I should have paid attention to over 130 reviews on google and yelp. I hate doing reviews but these people are real crooks. They could have had the decency to tell me before I flew all the way out from Texas.

The salesperson, Pat Datt, was patient as I made my choice. He gave me the space and time to think. I received a reasonable online offer. I was treated very well when I went there. I recently bought a 2012 Toyota Camry and must say that I was a bit uncertain about the experience (being my first brand new car), but the salesman really took the time to thoroughly explain vehicle specifications, warranty information, blue tooth configuration, and made the experience a pleasant one. There's a lot of fierce competition out there, but after shopping around for 3 weeks I found the right place. Be sure to negotiate well (as most car buyers do), and take your time getting to know the vehicle and sales person. I got a young one (Omar), and he was a bit pushy at first, but really did an excellent job of helping me find the right car for the right price.

I had been looking for a used roomy Toyota vehicle for quite some time. I could not decide which to get. I am only interested and have faith in Toyotas for reliability and durability. I ended up at North side Toyota amongst several others around Evanston. I was greeted by Sundeep and he asked me what I was interested in. He recognised that I was not clear about my choice; Was it Highlander, Hybrid, Prius, Rav 4, or Matrix? He showed me all and talked about the pros and cons. I left. He called me a week later to show more vehicles. I was still not decided. In the mean time he realized what would serve me well for a long distance car to Michigan and back on weekends carrying bikes and large luggage(that would suit my budget). So one day he called me and said for my needs he recommended a Rav 4 and that he would look for a good one when it came in. He kept in tuch with me, paying attention to my choice of color ,wrack etc and one day when he found one he called me and said he thought he had found a car I would like and my wife would like too. Note that I had been going to other dealers all this time, now 6 weeks of searching later. When I went to see what he had for me,there was no question that he had found the car I was looking for. His boss Sam was observing the transaction process and he came in to help figure my financing options and needs and I left that night having bought a car I am happy with. The car needed a few things fixed and the used car dept has been with me all the way. The service people are friendly and even helped me get a fill in car for a day promptly so that I was not late for work.

I brought my Camry in for a 30,000 service and checkout because I'm about to take a roadtrip to the East Coast. First I made an appointment over the phone. Right away, I knew I was in good hands as the phone agent was extremely professional and scheduled my service visit expeditiously. She even followed up with an email confirmation. When I arrived for the appointment, the check-in process was remarkably fast while still thorough. The service agent told me exactly what they would do and when I could expect to pick up the car. After completing their preliminary check, they called to report on needed repairs and suggested, quite remarkably, that I postpone brake repairs until after my trip in order to get even more life out of my current pads. Later that day, as promised, I received a phone call that the service had been completed and I could pick up the car. When I returned, again I was delighted with the care that the technician took to explain the work done. The entire pickup and pay process took only minutes -- and I drove away in a well-running and washed vehicle.My wife and I each have Camrys, hers is a hybrid that she bought at Northside a few years ago. We have yet to have less than an excellent experience at this fine, professional, caring dealership. You can tell by the attitude of the staff that management must treat them as well as they treat their customers. Thanks for the great service.

I am happy to write a review for this dealership. The staff made me feel as if I had gone there for years. The service is top notch from when you drop your car off to when you pay the invoice at the cashier. I have a couple of things I would like to highlight in my two visits to the dealership. 1.) Answered all my questions - and asked co workers if they did not have the answer (which is awesome that they didn't fake the answer) 2.) While I was waiting for my vehicle made sure I was updated with the progress 3.) Took an extraordinary amount of time to explain certain features of vehicle and how to program them myself. - Keep in mind I purchased this vehicle from another dealership! The other dealership didn't spend as much time with me when I bought the car.4.) The customer facing employees made me feel appreciated for using their services - which is a breath of fresh air in these times! I would highly recommend this dealership for any Toyota needs.......I personally will not take my car anywhere else.

I bought a used Toyota Prius. Although the sales woman was pleasant, much of the process made if felt like they were trying to cheat me. Trying to pay by check or debit card was a big hassle. The business manager felt abusive. I signed the "as-is" contract, then found out that the car did not have the cruise control they advertised that it had. They said they would fill the gas tank and remove an old unwanted option and do a minor repair before I picked up the car. They did not. Do not trust these people; if you choose to deal with them, check everything well.

I had originally sent out the e-mail that I would soon be in the market for a Toyota, so I had received a ton of responses from various dealerships with 'price quotes.' However, I was not able to move on it at that time, but Northside Toyota's manager continued with a consistent follow-up email stating, when I was ready, to just call for an appointment, and how pleased I would be once I did.When I finally made it in I met David Gayles who took the time to listen carefully to my requirements for the car I was looking for. He then explained clearly their benefits and had me test drive them both (I was looking at the Camry XLE and the Avalon). It was such an easy and stress-free process that I felt like I could have been purchasing shoes. I had already braced myself for the 'experience;' the hard-sell, the being left in the small room to stew while the employee went to see about the 'acceptable price' and if I did indeed qualify for whatever level of interest-rate, etc. Mind you I had not purchased a car in a long while, but I was so pleasantly surprised to find that none of those expected stressors were part of my experience. Firstly, there was no little room (yea!!). It was determined early in the process prior to my test drive that I did indeed qualify for the many specials being offered. (yea again!) Patience and time was even given in my choosing of the actual color of car I ultimately decided to purchase. Full explanations with support of the other staff in the various other options without the hard sell was another plus. My family drove our 2002 Rav4 to Chicago to attend my daughter's graduation from Northwestern University. Upon arriving, our vehicle began shifting erratically and taking off from a stop in second gear. At a local transmission repair shop, we were told the repairs would be very expensive. After some research on the web, we found the problem to be covered under extended warranty. We contacted Chicago Northside Toyota Scion and were treated extremely well. After I drove the car to the dealership, Connor Crawford arranged a ride (Michael was the driver) for us to the graduation ceremony. The ECM was replaced. We were picked up from our hotel the next day and driven back to the dealership, where our car was ready to go. We drove home with no further problems.To sum up, what could have been a nightmare experience of mechanical breakdown on the road was totally pleasant thanks to outstanding warranty by Toyota and outstanding service by Chicago Northside Toyota Scion.We will definitely remain loyal Toyota customers in the future.Thank you very much.Ron Davis

When I accidentally jammed the door to my Camry's center console storage, I asked Mario Flowers in Northside Toyota's service department to look at it. He immediately recognized the problem and described how it could be fixed. I was impressed by both his knowledge of the car and also by his clear and easy way of explaining what had to be done. The next day, when I brought the car in to the service department, Humza Chaudhry promptly greeted me and asked what service I needed. He too quickly grasped the problem with the jammed storage door, (correctly) estimated the time and cost, and promised to do all he could to see whether the repair would qualify for warranty work. As promised, Humza called within the allotted time to let me know my car was ready and to explain the work that was done. I'm delighted to know that Northside Toyota has reliable, friendly, and knowledgeable service advisors and mechanics who can fix the car when it needs fixing. I leased the car at this dealership with the patient help of Mirza and of Ben Shenk. They helped get exactly the car that I wanted and now I'm thrilled to be driving it knowing that there's an excellent service department available to help if I need it.

Best Customer Service EVER!!! Jose Rivera(Service Manager) & Marcos....are simply AWESOME! (cant think of a better word to describe my experience with the two of them.) Toyota should be extremely happy to have them on board! I've been coming to get my vehicle serviced here for almost 4 years (I Live closer to Grossinger Toyota on Touhy) But I make the drive every time because I know I'm getting Quality everything...from coffee to sparks plugs lol :) ! What keeps me coming Back???...Obviously the VIP treatment..... Starbucks...Plasma TV...Leather comfy chairs....and the Staff of course! First, let me start by saying my experience at Toyota Scion was AWEFUL! I called 3 times to ensure the vehicles (2010 and 2008 Ford Escape) were available and I specifically asked Josh and Sam if the 2010 had a sunroof. Upon arrival the Ford 2010 did NOT have a sun roof. After looking at the vehicles Josh then informed me that the Ford 2008 was actually NOT available anymore and it was another 2010 limited edition. By the way, the 2010 limited edition smelt like AWEFUL smoke-if you want to sell it air it out!!! Second complaint, After asking about discounts I was told by Sam that they would take care of me and give me a good deal. Upon arrival and after asking Josh about what deal they could come up with the ford 2010 (even after it NOT having a sunroof and being the most BASIC on the market) he said nothing. They could do no deals. I told Josh that Sam had just told me they could. Josh went over to Sam, came back and said they could give me 250.00 off the price. When I asked why Sam would say that they could give me a deal Josh exclaimed that it was a great deal! What a bunch of sexist jerks. I will NEVER come here again and I will let my friends in chicago and wisconsin know how crappy this place is. Not only did I drive 1 1/2 hours to see 2 cars that were not what I told they were, but I was lied to about a working price. NEVER AGAIN!!! I went back to wisconsin with my uncle and got a great deal. Thank you Sam and Josh for NOT selling me a car because I found one for A MUCH better price that did NOT reek of smoke.

On Friday 4/8/11 I was traveling home for the day, while on the highway I started smelling antifreeze and notice the tempture gage moving towards HOT! I pulled to the side of the road and call Toyota and spoke to Juan, I expain what I had notice and asked him what I should do. He suggested that I bring the car into the shop so that they could check it out. He asked if I needed a tow truck to come and get me, I informed him that I did not think so, told me to be very careful and take it easy as I made my way to the shop, he did not want to see me get hurt or damage my car futher. Once I got to the shop Juan was waiting for me, told me to have a seat and they would check to see what the problem was. After a short time he came over to me and explain that appeared to have happen, provide me with a cost effective solution to fix the matter and asked for my authorizaiton to proceed which I gave. About an hour after that the repairs where completed and I was on my way home. I was so happy that I call Juan and followed his instructions, before I left the shop Juan explained to me that I was lucky because a part (thermostat I belive) had gotten damanged and broken out of it's housing, by following his instructions I prevented the part from going into the engine and causing more extensive damage. I am real greatful to Juan and Toyota for addressing and resolving this matter.

I should start by saying that my first car buying experience this year was HORRRRRIBLE. But thankfully, I was able to change that experience to a marvelous one in part because of the wonderful work of Paul, Carl, Cordero and David. I also have to mention that I normally don't write reviews unless I feel strongly about 1. a bad service or 2. an extremely good service; may I point out two words BAD and EXTREMELY to emphasize that I have to feel strongly about these two things in order for me write a review. Writing a review takes time, feeling and honesty. So in writing this, I hope you can read that I mean every word in this review. Although from the outside, the dealership looks small, however, their service is by far grandiose. Let me start by mentioning Carl, the Finance Manager, he has a way of making you feel like the purchase you are about to make its the best purchased based on numbers. In reviewing my paperwork at home he was right, the best purchased for my brand new Prius Car based on pure research. Carl is by far the best person to work with because he is good at balancing and explaining things to the consumer.Paul, Carl, Cordero and David are professional, good hearted sales people. Mostly when you step into any car dealer, most sales staff have one thing in mind and that is to make the sale no matter if they have to prevaricate or perhaps fabricate false facts in order to persuade the customer to buy from them. The people from Chicago Northside Toyota Scion are the total opposite. Honest people, no fib to convince you to buy. So if you are looking into purchasing a new/used car, I honestly hope you consider going to Chicago Northside toyota and receive the best service, best prices and meet the best sales people. I've been to Chicago Northside Toyota Scion twice now for service. I've had my oil changed twice, my brake fluid replaced, my oxygen intake valve replaced, and new windshield wipers installed after one flew off during the Snowpocalypse. They also washed and cleaned my car both times for free! The employees were extremely friendly both times and very helpful. They are always careful to alert me to any issues that may arise in the future without pressuring me to have any work done immediately. The service is always very quick and the waiting area is clean and pleasant. Finally, all repairs and labor were very affordable. I would definitely recommend this dealership to anyone with a Toyota.

I BROUGHT MY CAR IN FOR THE 5000 MILE MAINTAINCE AND WAS GREETED WELL ASKED IF THEIR WERE ANY PROBLEMS AND TOLD IT WOULD TAKE ABOUT ONE HOUR. A few hours later, we were negotiating a fair price on a 2010 RAV-4. Kenny made me a surprisingly good deal on the car I wanted. I drove home that day around 5PM. All was well--until I noticed a fairly large ding and scratches on the driver's side door. It was too late to go back to the dealership that day, so I decided I'd call back first thing Monday morning.I didn't get around to calling Kenny until the middle of October--almost three weeks AFTER we'd already moved. His response was simple, "Fix it and we'll cover the cost." I was astounded. A few days later, the car was repaired and a check from Chicago Northside Toyota showed up in the mail. They covered the entire amount--no questions asked.THE LONG STORY, PART TWO:In December, three months after purchasing the vehicle, we discovered that the title had been processed with "Toyota" misspelled "Toytota." Once again, Kenny came through, quickly handing the situation is matter of days.Obviously, I'd highly recommend a visit to the dealership. This is my second car I have purchased from Chicago Northside Toyota. I wanted to take advantage of the special financing offer from Toyota at the end of the year and I could not find the model and color I wanted in California. I made a call to see if they could get the car, and they shipped it out to me the following week. Unfortunately, the car arrived covered in salt and dirt from the long haul on the car carrier. Becuase there was some road tar, the dealership had the car detailed by a dealer local to me at no charge. I have had nothing but good experiences with both the first car I bought and the new one. I financed both through the dealership and the finance department also made it very easy, followed up and got things done.

I went to them for a suspension check and engine oil change on my Toyota Avalon. They took the car for a drive test (per my request) to check the noise generated when you drive the car over speed bumps or pot holes. After that, they lifted the car up and inspected everything related to the suspension and drive train. The conclusion was that the struts, mounts, and links needed to be replaced, and I received a very quick and accurate estimate. They explained to me what needed to be done and how long it would take to do the job. I wasnt pushed to do the job same day. The oil change was done very fast, and I also got free tire rotation, and on top of that a free car wash. Id give this dealer an A+ for service and personnel. Ill go back there next time when Im ready to fix the car suspension.

I recently bought a used car from them and brought it in for an oil change. I had questions about whether I should do the full 15,000 mile service or just stick with the oil change. I was a little nervous because I had read some older reviews from a few years ago saying that they often tried to push you inter service you didn't need. The service advisor was really helpful, explained the manufacturer's suggestions and the price difference. He even gave me the coupon price (even though I didn't have one) and made sure I had all the information I needed to take advantage of a rebate offered by Valvoline. Overall, a great experience! Will definitely use them again.

We came in looking for a new car. They did not have one ready for us. So we walked over to their garage in the freezing cold. By "chance", all of the cars we were interested in were on hold by the manager. The salesman had to get special permission to take one out. He then noticed the car tires were low. So we had to go get it serviced before we could ride it. There was no explanation of any of the features. When we got back, they couldn't give us a number without us promising that we would buy a car from them that day. A waste of time. We ended up going with a Honda mostly because of the service.

I absolutely despise this place.I came here back in 2005 and leased my first Toyota here and felt good about the whole experience. I came back in 2010 and didn't have my guard up like the first time and got burned. I ended up paying about $150 more a month on a vehicle with a lower sticker price. The salesman gave me a whole heap of reasons why the vehicle cost more per month (and foolishly I didn't have my previous paperwork with me to reference.) He refused to give me the capitalized cost when asked directly. When I asked to speak with his manager to know the cap cost the manager danced around the issue and told me the deal they were offering was was about $2-3000 off. When I sat down with the finance guy, I asked him why it said I was leasing a previous model year vehicle at full sticker price when the sales manager said the figure they were giving me was 2-3000 off, he said that the savings was in the lease factor.I get home and look at my previous lease paperwork and realized that last time I had leased a more expensive vehicle, had a better lease factor and paid less per month.I went back in to talk to the Sales Manager and the most he was willing to do was "split" the cost of a bluetooth device that he said costs him $590. I went out to talk to the installer to see where they would put it in, and quickly looked up the device online to see what it costs and it cost about $240 everywhere. What?! I confronted him about this and he acted surprised and agreed to cover the whole cost of the bluetooth device.So, OK, lesson to self, don't sit down to talk prices unless you have your guard up and are ready to battle, and DON"T do business with these guys again.So, I had a service contract with these guys and brought my car in for the recall, minor service and to have wires run for a subwoofer. I specifically asked the guy to hook the subwoofer wiring up to the rear speakers (so I could adjust the balance between what I was hearing in the front speakers and what was coming from the subwoofer.) I went back to pick up the car and the subwoofer is wired with the front speakers. I confronted him about this and he said the wires for the rear speakers were smaller and that I'd have to come back later to get it rewired.I get it home and realize the automatic locks don't work. Then I realize that the ignition isn't actually shutting off, so the battery drains until it is dead when I leave the car sit. So I called the dealership and scheduled a time that Monday to get it fixed. I brought it in again and he fixed the ignition issue but told me I'd have to come back again another time to get the speakers rewired.I don't live close to this dealership, so each time I go, I either have to leave work early, or spend my entire night at the dealership. I don't have time to hang around waiting for you to fix something you should have done right the first time!So I told him I'd be back after work Thursday and came back the THIRD time to get it done the way we'd discussed before we started anything. I get there and the person I'd been dealing with was an hour late. All said and done, I ended up getting $35 off the cost of the install. Absolutely ridiculous.I despise this place. Never again.

I recently started hearing squeaky noise but not too loud and just sometimes coming from my dashboard . drove to the dealer, did test drive with technician and says they are going to look at it. I thought i was gonna be fine cos i have bought the platinum warranty. it was during the day , i sleep on day and work at night. i went to sleep, got a call after 2 hrs and says ur warranty doesn't cover the noise problem and if u want to get fixed, it is about $1000 , if not it is $105 for diagnose. got so pissed off, checked with my warranty department and says that part is not covered. was asked to pay the $105 plus $7 something for shop supplies. i got so pissed for ripping me off for nothing. i told them u ripped me off $105 for nothing and why supplied charge of $7 when it has nothing to do with diagnose. so i paid the $105, took my car back . i told them they should have known that warranty doesn't cover noise parts and only electrical or machanical breakdowns or failures only. they are rip offs period! few months before this, i had an oil change coupon of $15.47 cents but my bill came to $21 something. was told i did not do the yearly or maintainance which i already did few months back. they are not polite. not wanting to listen to ur concerns. talks as if we have to give them more , pay them more for anything! we should do something to get their attitude and treatments of customers changed. how about we all writing letters to toyota USA?if they ask me for a survey for this visit, its not gonna be good for them cos i really felt cheated for nothing. the squeaky noise has gotten worse now.i am never gonna go to that dealer again to get ripped off by those guys at the service department.they are terrible. they will push u for something always!lets file a complaint!!!!!!!

I wish I had seen this review board before going to this Toyota service center. They are the worst guy I have ever seen in any life and I am not sure how come Toyota lets these guys stay on their job or is it Toyota itself that wants customers. These guys have the usual tactic to every customer. Every time, I go for oil change but end up doing the intermediate or the major service. On every visit, they recommend doing some crap which is not at all needed for a brand new car. This one time, they charged me $400 and did not do the basic maintenance things like the water for the wind shield wiper. I went to this service center with the complaint asking how come you guys didn't even do the basic maintenance, this guy Juane In responded that this might be mistake and everything else must have been done properly. My instinct told me that there must be other things that they didn't do it as promised in the major maintenance list of things to be. So I picked a random simple maintenance list of lubricating the door hinges and locks and took this moron to check the doors. Guess what.....The doors weren't lubricated either. I was pissed off and asked him for an explanation. From there, this guy went rude and asked me leave the shop or will call the police. When I asked him to call the police in front of other customers, he realized he made a mistake and kept silent. Then comes the good cop bad cop tactic. He sent a new guy by the same name to me to tackle the situation. This guy took me outside the office and speaks nicely to come next day to see their manager Peter Sober. This is the same guy peter sober who serviced my car the previous day. I had no other option other than to meet this manager peter sober and director Bob Heath next day. As I was walking towards my car, these morons working there made some kind of racist comment and everyone started laughing at me including few customers inside the shop. I guess, the customers missed the point that they will also be subjected to the same humiliation if they go with any problems in future. Next day, I went to this shop to speak with the manager and the director, both the manager Peter Sober and Director Bob Heath didn't care about the service faults or the rude behavior of their staff. They were protecting their staff behavior and serviceman ship. Their behavior truly explained why their staff didn't care to speck nicely to a customer who went in with a complaint. After all this , both the manager and Director are saying that they are the best guys in the entire Chicago land and that is why they have been awarded three times in row for their best service.I wonder how awards are given to these kinds of morons who don't even know how to service a car and know how to behave with a customer. After speaking for some time with the manager Peter and Director Bob, I realized that this is a waste of time arguing and decided to go to office instead. On a last note, I told the director that I intend to write a review about this service center, He flipped off and went away. They cared less about the reviews and customer complaints. I am not sure if writing a review will really make these guys feel sorry for what they did to me and my wife. I waited in the shop for 2 hours to speck to these guys on a Tuesday morning skipping my office hours, only to return empty handed with more humiliation and frustration. I just want to write about this incident so that others can learn from my mistake of choosing the worst dealer and should always research before choosing any dealer for service etc.Please do not go tot this shop and expect to be treated like you are not existent. You will know the true color of these guys only when you go with a problem. We are better off getting our cars serviced by a local mechanic or self. I can keep on writing on my WORST day about this service center.I must have paid close to about #2500 to this shop during my year and half visit and finally got to know how mean and rough these guys are when you point mistakes on their side. They have no regard for customers and only speak of high regard for customer service I never expected Toyota behaving like this. I will never ever go to TOYOTA or buy any TOYOTA in future. Please spread the message about this worst service center that will not do the required service but will charge you exorbitantly. If anyone wants to continue the service here, please make sure that all service are done properly before leaving the shop. Please inspect yourself few things that we can do it ourselves and you will discover that havn't done all the list of things they charged you in the maintenance.I would like to give negative stars but there were no options like that to choose .

The place was very clean, offered television on a rather huge screen (not quite sure about the dimensions), free drinks (such as hot chocolate, coffee), good services and other conveniences (vending machines, very clean washrooms, employee friendliness.)The service was quick -- an oil change, and I've been to this dealership many times before, and the service is always astounding.I'm sure that I'll be back for future services, and recommend it to others.After reading quite a terrible comment of this dealership, one that consisted of complaints about their customer services -- I'd like to say that the employees there are rather busy thought they may not seem it, and it doesn't hurt to approach when you have a question. These workers are waiting for you to tell them about your problem at their desks, which is the first place one steps into after dropping your car into their garage. Then they'll help you, and just because an estimate of time may be long, and even if the place was "empty," this does not mean that they're doing terrible service. They're simply being honest, and this service may truly need this length of time.Anyway, in conclusion, this dealership had wonderful service, friendly employees, and kept my time well spent.

I went there for some repair work. There were 5 workers in the "write up" room,no customers, but no one could be bothered to come out to me, to tell me where to go. When I entered that room, everyone appeared to be doing nothing, finally someone asked if he could help me. This person did not listen to what I was telling him about my car's problems, then told me the estimate time would be from 1 hour to 3-4hours. I pressed him on why to evaluation would take so long and he was vague, then said he said 1-2 hours. (The place was empty) I declined service and left at that point.I have been there before and felt they always "piled on" with services that they suggested you need, which would cost several thousand $$. I usually go to an independent repair shop because of this, but today's problem was one my car guy couldn't fix without the specialized equipment the dealer has.I will not be back. And I don't expect them to stay in business long.

This dealer is BIG CHEATER - DONOT GO TO HIMFirst he advertised the price on AutoTrader as 13.5K, when I try to buy it he said it was a mistake and price was 13.9K. The advertisement said keyless entry and sales person assured me that before purchase that that car has keyless entry. Then after I purchased the car, then all of sudden attitude changed. He said he will search for the keys and after 2 days said that keys are not found! The financing guy made mistake and asked us to drive 30 miles twice. The second time I told them that I will take my complaint to Toyota then the owner actually asked me leave his premises - talk about respecting the customer! The whole place sucks! DO NOT BUY FROM THEM

Brought my 2006 Highlander in for its 25k service and replacement of third row seatbelts which had been chewed up by my dog. I was told that installation of both the belts would be about an hour of labor. Called several days later and was informed that the car was ready to be picked up. After paying for the work and driving away I realized that they had not installed the seatbelts and had given them to me. I returned the car and explained what happened. Service rep did not apologize or offer to either reduce or comp labor costs. When I said that I expected to either receive reduced or comped labor for installation, service rep said that he would need to check with his manager. He eventually claimed that it would take four hours instead of one to install the seatbelts and that no accommodations would be made on the labor. I next spoke to the assistant manager who began by questioning whether I really picked up the car when I said that I did. He then stated that the best he could would be to reduce labor costs two hours. After telling him that this was twice the cost that I was originally quoted and that it did not adequately compensate me for my time in having to bring the car in for a second visit, he brought over the manager who refused to budge. I left with the seat belts and called several Toyota service departments in the area, all of whom said that the job would take at most two hours and probably closer two one. In other words, they both lied about the labor costs AND refused to make any reasonable accommodations for the trouble they put me through in saying that my car was ready when it actually was not.

Northside Toyota is a complete rip-off. Every time you go in for an oil change, they tell you that your car needs thousands of dollars in repairs. Even if you follow Toyota's recommended maintenance schedule, they try to sell extra stuff. Their prices are awful. They always throw one price at you, and if you don't like it, they pretend "oh wait we're having a sale right now", and knock off $20. Toyotas are supposed to be great cars, but according to what they recommend at this dealership, these cars must be falling apart after 20 thousand miles. They try to sell you the same fluid flushes every time, I had to remind them that I just had it done a few thousand miles ago, then they check their computer and say "oh yeah, now I see it". I understand how the business works, you're supposed to sell more work to customers who only come in to spend $20 for an oil change, but these guys are heartless. Instead of being kind and building customer relationships for a long period of time, they'd rather take your money now and they don't care if you're satisfied enough to ever come back.If you simply HAVE to use this dealership, your only remaining option is to make sure you go in the evening, and talk to JUAN in service. He is extremely friendly and is the only guy there who will really tell you what your car needs.

North Side Toyota...where can I start may be by saying that I will never set my foot there and I regret going in first place. I took my car for repair, I had my check engine lamp On. I figure since it is Toyota the best place to take is to Toyota dealership..well NOT this one. The mechanics check my car and told me the price that I have to pay to get it fix, which was pretty expenssive because they charge very much for labor. A part that can be changed in 15 mins max, they needed an hour and this costs $102. Any way they gave me the estimate told me once they change two parts my car won't have that problem. Even though it was extremelly expenssive I decided to go for it because I figure they were professionals. After spending about $500 I drove my car out of Toyota thinking that this is the end of the problems. I felt it was expenssive but at least it was done by someone that knows what he is doing. The check engine was off. 5 days after that the check engine came ON again. I was very unhappy to find out that therewere more parts to be change to fix the innitial problem that I had with the car. I got a call from their representative telling me that now I need to pay $700 more and the problem will be fixed- THE SAME PROBLEM .... As I started asking more questions why did they change the other two parts to begin with , if they were not causing the problem , the guy became very mean and was treating me like an idiot. Telling me that I don't know anything about cars and so on. WELL let me tell you what these idiots did... The first time they changed parts that were JUST fine....and were not causing the problem , whether it's because they don't know what they are doing or just decided to rip me off is just as bad. I personally think they rip me off. Theydidn't want to take resposibility for the mistake that they made, they didn't offer me any compensation or appology and they didn't stand behind the servicing that they preformed the first time. But wanted me to pay $700 more and believe them that everything will be fine. VERY RUDE. They could have changed half the parts in my car before they got the problem fixed - this is insane. If I was you I would think twice before taking my car there...I know I won't ever again!! !!I wish I could give them minus 10 stars.

As long as this is now Northside it is okay, but when it was Metro Toyota, they were a big rip off. Left an impression, and it was the wrong one. I NEVER had a problem with Northside Toyota. They evaluated my brakes correctly. I need new ones. BUT when this was METRO they told me I needed brakes when I did not. They told me I needed hoses when I did not. The change in management was extremely welcome. The above rating is for Northside Toyota.

Absolutely NOT. Do NOT go here for service. They are the biggest rip off for service. Fabricate the bill, and overcharge for everything. told me I needed front brakes, and brought it to a "real mechanic" who told me that I still had about 5000 miles left. And of course added the $180.00 hose charge, which I see they are notorious for. These service guys are just looking to sell, don't care how bad you get ripped off.NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Do not buy from these guys. they just outright lie about everything. i bought my car from them. they are very friendly when doing the sale. once the sale was final they just want to rush rush and rush. did not explain anything about car any terms or conditions. they lied about condition of my trade-in tried to low ball it by 3000 dollars. they didnot give me my customer satisfaction survey from Toyota. looks like they filled it out themself and sent it. worst dealership ever.....

Do not buy a used car here or any car for that matter. All smiles up until I signed on the line then they became a**holes about EVERYTHING. I even bought a warranty though them and they didn't want to honor it!!!!!Overall, SKEEZY SKETCHY AND DISHONEST!!!

As a selling point and to justify a refusal to negotiate down from a relatively high selling price on a new car, this dealer promised free oil changes as long as I owned the car. The second time I had them change the oil the mechanic forgot to add the oil after draining it. After driving ten miles I noticed the oil light was on, checked the oil, added five quarts. The dealer acknowledged the error and noted it. Two years later the engine conked out and every mechanic I asked about this attributed it to the previous oil omission, yet the dealership disputed this. After a threat of legal action, they finally replaced the engine but gave no loaner.

Lied to in attempt t get me to buy a car they had in stock. 10 days late in delivery. Leather installed wrong. Leather not repaired after they had the car for 2 weeks and 100 miles put in it. Very friendly when I wanted to buy - as soon as the contract was signed attitude changed remarkably.

BEWARE IF YOU ARE GIVING A DEPOSIT!!! Antonio was great when I was thinking about getting a Prius. Because Priuses were in such demand, he said I could put $500 down to reserve a car. If I decided not to get the car, the money was 100%refundable (other dealerships had told me the same). So a week later when I called to let him know that I had decided not to go with a Prius, he said he would refund the money. Three weeks later when my credit card had not been credited I called again. He said there must have been an oversight and that he'd call me back. No call and still no money, now 6 weeks later.
