We have had our 2012 Subaru WRX in to Courtesy Automotive for two repairs. Both times the vehicle had to go back in to be fixed right. The first was a leaky power steering rack, got the car back and it wouldn't go around corners. On second trip they removed the air from the system (which should have been done on the first trip) and got it working. Then the clutch needed replacement, again the car had to go back in to be fixed right, in this case it was a pressure hose that was removed to fix the clutch, and was not put back on properly and came off causing the engine to stall and sputter. When we got it back again, the "fix" only lasted a day and the engine was stalling again and sending engine repair codes and the "service engine soon" light was on again. Now, Mike (the Subaru service manager) is trying to tell me that there must be a different issue and they will start charging us to diagnosis and try to fix the car, even though it is clear that the problem was directly caused by the clutch repair. Possibly a vacuum leak, or something got pinched / bent, and it did not get reassembled properly. The car ran flawlessly before it went in and has been sending codes and running like crap since we got it back.

excellant sales person Tacey Watkins, explained all cars she showed me and helped me find a perfect fit for my pricing. Then we went to the finacial dept and scott was fast, accurate and very proffesional, had my car sold and out the door in less than l and l/2 hours, then Sonny came out to review all my questions about tires, gas cap, etc, wow what a great day for a great gramma! thanks so much, i would recommend this company for any car you might want in the future! Bev Drewry, Three Rivers Calif. drove 360 miles for this great deal! oh did i mention that i am a senior?

What a breath of fresh air!! After recently having a horrible and rude experience with another dealership and ready to throw the towel in, thankfully we stopped in at Courtesy motors in Chico and was graciously greeted by Brad Yergenson! We can't thank Brad enough for turning our car buying experience around and assisting us with our purchase of our new Cadillac, I cant stop smiling every time I drive it! What a wonderful way to start the Holiday season. Brad was very helpful, courteous and personable and a joy to talk to. A BIG Thank you to you Brad! My husband and I would definitely recommend anyone looking for an overall pleasant and positive experience with their next car purchase to deal with Courtesy motors, and ask for Brad! Everyone was very pleasant, thank you, so much. -L. Nystrom

I went to Courtesy Motors GMC looking for a truck. Their sales agent Tacey assisted me through the process. She listened to what I wanted and stuck to that. I never felt pressured or forced into anything. Normally I like to shop around but the entire experience made me feel very comfortable so I didn't go any further than Chico Courtesy Motors GMC and I ended up buying a new truck. Tacey was the best sales agent I've ever dealt with and I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a new or used vehicle.

It has been 30 years since I have had such a positive experience in purchasing a new car. Courtesy Motors Chico is all about understanding the customer needs related to purchasing a vehicle. I worked with Brad who through this experience, I consider Brad a customer represented instead of a Salesperson. I made four trips to Courtesy Motors Chico before purchasing our Buick Enclave. Each time when I pulled up Brad was there to greet me with a smile and asked how can he help me. In addition I would look at a different model of GMC and Cadillac. In addition Brad had priced out each model I was looking at. It wasn't until my last visit that I took my wife and she selected the Buick Enclave. With a smile and that customer focus Brad said lets work out the numbers. Then I explained that I would be purchasing the Buick Enclave through my business, Brad responded no issue it will just take us a little longer to process everything. My wife and I went back to work and three hours later, I received a call from Brad and he said come on in and sign for your new Buick Enclave. The whole time working with Brad their was no high pressure sales and Brad was the one person I worked with throughout the process. There was no manager coming in and pressuring me to sign a deal. When I went in to sign the papers Jordan was my finance person and he was the same as Brad totally focus on customer service. Jerry Pajouh the CEO has build a great team focus on the customer and delivering high quality customer service.

We had such a pleasing experience with both the sales and financing departments I was compelled to say so. It took us a year to make a decision to purchase our new Subaru. In that time I was sent no-pressure updates. When we were ready, Cameron Jacobs informatively helped to guide us toward the perfect vehicle for our (families') needs. He connected us with Jordan in financing who left us educated enough about our financial plan that we actually had peace of mind and confidence. We've had follow up calls, and assistance with the tech components as well. We left with a great vehicle, the best financing for us, and a great connection to this respectable crew at Courtesy. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

This was my first car buying experience and it was perfect! Dave Cimmet stayed true to his word from the first time we spoke. Not only did he come down on the price of the car to get me a good deal he also worked on giving me a good price for my trade in and financing to keep my payment where I wanted it! He was honest and very knowledgeable of all the cars on the lot and was pleasant to work the the entire time. Now two days later and I've received an email and a text making sure I'm still happy with my car and to contact them with any questions. I also received a beautiful gift basket the next day! I will definitely be back in the future and would recommend any friends and family to go see Dave at Courtesy Motors.

My wife and I were driving through beautiful Feather River Canyon this week when our Subaru B9Tribeca stopped, wouldn't shift and wouldn't run. No phone service. After 4 1/2 hrs a CHP Officer stopped and we were able to contact a towing service and get towed to Courtesy Subaru in Chico. Knowing that we were from out of state and we needed to get home soon, I was amazed at how quickly they got the car up on the rack and checked out the problem. Fortunately it wasn't a blown transmission and the problem was solved at much much less expense than we anticipated. TC from Service stayed on top of the situation from the get-go, and we want to thank him and the Service Dept. for handling everything so quickly. Jessica from Sales was so sweet and she held our hands most of the morning and found time to show us the new Outback. To show a small token of our appreciation, we will be buying an new car from Courtesy instead of a couple of local dealers. Thanks again guys!

After having dealt with the "other" GM dealer, I decided to get a second opinion on the noise from under my truck (that turned out to be something that was wrapped around my drive-line and made a tap every time it turned) the other dealer was going to charge me to replace my drive-line. I expressed my worries to John Bishop and he took very good care of me. Courtesy serviced my Chevy truck and put me on the right track for maintenance. They even removed what was on my drive-line and inspected it for damage FREE of charge.

Well we just had service on our Subaru and will try to avoid going their again. Our car was overheating and they found it to be a stuck thermostat. That and a oil change was done. When we were called they said that the bill was $451. When we picked-up the car the cost had changed to $667! When we asked why the service manager said he never said $451 - very much untrue. Then when we looked at the itemized bill there was the note that: owner said battery was dead. NO we never said that, they charged us $99 for a battery and who knows how much labor. I am most disappointed having wanted to buy a car from this dealership. I will travel elsewhere and have it maintained by some other mechanic or dealership.

Made an internet inquiry on a new X1 model. Received a prompt reply the next day and was told about a used 2014 premium package, all wheel drive, discounted trade-in with 2500 miles. I live 75 miles away. I made arrangement to test drive the car the next day. I needed for my wife to see and test drive the car. Cedric, the salesman, agreed to take the car half way to my house to make it easier for my wife to meet after work the next day. My wife test drove the car. Cedric explained the attributes of the car. We needed a little time to think it over. Cedric did not try to pressure us to buy the car. He drove the car back to the dealership. We called him a couple of hours later to tell him we wanted the car. We met at the dealership the next morning. We were able to finance the car and drive away in just over an hour. It was a very good and fast process.

We bought my first BMW yesterday and had an excellent experience! John went out of his way to keep my daughter entertained throughout the entire process. He even found crayons and paper and was reviewing her ABCs and 123s with her! Matt answered all of our questions with great detail and was able to make us a deal! Courtesy motors is definitely a family-friendly environment and an excellent place to buy a car! Thank you!

My wife wanted to get a smaller car, as her big and bulky Chevy Traverse was more vehicle than she needed. Leonard Garcia was a warm welcome from the "usual car salesmen", free of the gimmicks and shenanigans typically associated with buying a new or used vehicle. No upside down writing, no endless circles and doodling on paper, no lame "the worlds going to end" sales pitches... just an honest and genuine guy, that worked tirelessly to get us in the vehicle my wife wanted. The old saying goes... "Happy Wife, Happy Life"; and Leonard's hard work on a Sunday made that small feat, a wonderful reality. My wife loves her new car and I love the deal that Leonard worked out for us. Any car purchases in the future will definitely be made with Leonard Garcia and the friendly staff at Courtesy Motors of Chico.V/RDennis Reinhardt

I knew I wanted a Subaru, and went to Courtesy to test drive a Crosstrek. Cameron was friendly, informative, and NOT PUSHY. He helped me find the perfect vehicle for my needs and budget, and really went out of his way to make sure I was happy with my choice! I am incredibly happy with my 2013 Subaru Crosstrek, and would highly recommend Cameron and Courtesy Motors Subaru to anyone looking to buy a new or used Subaru!

Alan Ramos helped me get my 2010 Scion TC, he made it as easy as possible and found the best deal and interest rate I could get. He was very helpful and honest, he's more interested in finding you the right car than making a sale. Alan was the friendliest and nicest dealer I met in my search for a new car and I'm so glad I found him. I absolutely love my car, haven't had any problems with it yet and I've been driving it for almost a month now. Thank you for everything Alan! I had a great experience with Chico Courtesy Motors, and I recommend this dealership for anyone!

Service department missed several major problems when they did an inspection. They also charged me for parts and labor that were never quoted or authorized. I met with the service manager, John Bishop, who refused to reimburse me for the unauthorized repairs and did not even offer an apology. They also misstated my vehicle mileage 3 times in their records by adding over 40,000 miles and reporting it to GM. When I called GM, they said I should just sue them, report them to the BAR, and take my vehicle somewhere else because Courtesy did not want me to ever return. Not only would I not recommend Courtesy Motors for any service whatsoever, I will never buy another GM vehicle again due to the lack of concern from General Motors.

I pre-scheduled an appointment 2 weeks ahead of time so I could get my vehicle in for service and have a loaner car for 2 days. I work in SF and have a home in Redding so it is not easy to time these things right. I called the evening before to ensure a loaner car would be available and did not receive a response until the morning of the appointment. The response simply said, your loaner car is not available today, please call us if you have any questions. I literally scheduled my entire day, meetings in Chico and my wifes dr. appointment around this schedule and they didnt have the Courtesy to call and let me know in advance that my appointment had essentially been cancelled and there was no alternative presented to me.Very poor service

I took my GMC duramax here to have the fuel filter changed. I bought the vehicle in the bay area but live in Chico. This was my vehicles first trip to a dealership or shop for service. My pickup is black so scratches and chips are very noticeable. When I dropped my vehicle off I had to wait at the desk for 20 minutes before someone finally asked if I needed help. When I picked my vehicle up I thought it was unusual that they washed my pickup when all they were supposed to do was change a fuel filter. Without looking very hard, I noticed my vehicle had white paint overspray on it with several large scratches down the side. It also had 2 noticeable chips in the hood on the side of the vehicle they had been working on. The 2 chips had been obviously filled with some kind of touch up paint that was very obvious. When I asked what had happened they completely denied doing any damage to my vehicle and that they do not have the ability to touch up paint so there was no way they could have been the ones who caused the damage or covered it up. I expressed my concern and dissapointment in their honesty but they had no interest in providing customer service or attempting to rectify the situation

This dealership has to have been the least friendly and helpful dealerships I have ever been to. I have come in multiple times and never left satisfied. I ordered a part here and they told me it would be ready the next week but when I called they said they didn't have the part and they would call me when it was in but they never called me back and two weeks had gone by without a phone call so I called again and they made me feel like it was my problem. Another time I went in regarding warranting something on my Subaru and they were no help at all and said that they could not help me which was complete bs because it was a pretty general problem. I would not recommend anyone to even bother with their service department. I am even gonna drive to the Roseville service center because its not even worth giving this lousy dealership any business. Another note to add is that none of their staff and personnel look like they enjoy their jobs nor are they passionate or helpful with anything. This is why I believe they are a VERY BAD dealership.

We used a well regarded and competent broker to purchase a Yukon XL Denali from Courtesy Motors. We went to exhaustive lengths to ensure our final order would be accurate. Five weeks later and ready to spend $66K, our vehicle arrived without the wheels we had ordered. To add insult to injury, the driver who delivered our new vhicle, Tom was kind enough to eat fast food in the vehicle on the way to our home and didn't know anything about the vehicle and so was unable to answer even basic questions. Keith Excel took responsibility for the innacurate order as did Rick Yorton stating it was a simple error as they input the order to GMC. We appreciate that people can make errors and wanted desperately to get the car we need for our family. However, while this debacle may have started innocently it cascaded through through Courtesy Motor's incompetenceand unwillingness to make good on a very bad situation which they created and we had to suffer through. Courtesy Motors incompetence meant I had to re-insure my old vehicle and that I will have to re-do loan paperwork with USAA. Perhaps, Courtesy Motors sells a great number of these vehicles every month and our business is of little specific interest, but its a lot of money in our world and Courtesy Motors owed us a clean and professional transaction that we could feel good about. CM does not understand attention to detail, customer service or loyalty to the GMC brand and so, to our continued detriment and disappointment, we are voting with our feet.

My family and I have been customers of Courtesy Motors for over 25 years. I am very surprised to see negative ratings on this dealership because that has not been oue experience wuth them in many interactions with sales and service. We have alwayus found them to be honest and straight forward as well as friendly which has caused us to feel very comfortable whenever we utilize their services. I can only say you need to try them for yourself and make up your own mind.

I purchased my BMW through a car broker who referred me to this dealership and I still regret going with the offer because of $200 savings over a local Bayarea dealer. In retrospect I would have rather paid $500 more just to avoid dealing with the people at CourtesyMotors. The buying experience with Courtesy Motors was the worst. I will probably not buy a BMW anymore simply because of the horrible experience I had so here is my story:After ordering my new car from the factory (through CourtesyMotors) I did not hear back from the dealership at all. I did not have an order confirmation or any other paperwork. When I called a month after ordering they just said: "Yes we ordered it but we don't know anything about the status." They promised to get back to me when they knew something so I waited another month before I called again just to hear that the car had shipped from Spartanburg and was on its way. Why don't I receive a call about that?? 9 weeks after ordering and they don't feel like it is time to give their customer an update? You have to beg for everything at CourtesyMotors and when they say they will get back to you it will never happen - one way communication. Not a single time has anybody at Courtesy (that includes sales, parts, and finance) who promised to call me back actually followed up on their promise - very disappointing. When they delivered the car to me they were in a big rush and so we were not walked through the contract but had to sign on the spot more or less. A big mistake as the price on the contract was NOT the negotiated price from the order. I got lucky because I had a car broker involved who clarified things for me. It still required countless emails and phone calls with Courtesy Motors where they tried to make it appear as if the overcharge were normal fees. Also, now that the car was sold the tone on these calls was a lot more rude than before. In the end a new contract was written and submitted to the financing bank. I am still waiting for the bank to lower my loan amount.I am not sure if these 'mistakes' are normal with car dealers in the US (my first new car here) so I can only suggest to anybody buying a new car out there to diligently compare ALL numbers on the order with the numbers on the contract. I am certainly done with BMW let alone CourtesyMotors!

My wife had talked to the General Manager and overall he was very rude. He used intimadating tactics stating that if we bought a car from a another dealership he would refuse to honor the warranty. I believe this is their scare tactic thus coercing customers into buying their cars from their dealership. Extremely rude and not willing to work with us on buying a car from them. We strongly support local tax dollars and the local enconomy, if a local dealer is not willing to work us then they are driving their business away. In addition two salesmen that we worked for were also extremely rude and reluctanctly worked us. Overall the dealership experience with them was a horrible experience I will not recommend my friends and family to them.

Larry was honest and truly cared about finding the right car for me. He knew his product and told me his own thoughts when I could not decide between two cars. He told me WHY he thought one car suited my needs, and did not steer me towards anything in particular. An honest all around guy who did not hound, but wanted me happy. Not pushy in the least - let me take my time in deciding, but was there if (and when) I did have questions/concerns.
