My car was brought in for an issue involving a recall. The electronic power steering needed to be checked. While i did appreciate the prompt turn around time for the service, the entire issue was not resolved. I was advised after i picked up my car that "it went so quick because we just needed to fix the computer code for the torque sensor." The power steering mechanism itself was not checked or repaired. The letter i received from Honda stated that would be checked also as a result of this recall. I now less than a month later have squeaking\grinding noises as a result because it was not addressed on my initial visit.

I was looking at purchasing a Honda HRV from another dealer, but the one I wanted was "on it's way from Honda anyday now" Well, three weeks later I was still waiting. So I contacted Courtney Honda and they not only had what I wanted, but took a nice slice out of the listed retail and gave me more than double what the other dealer offered to me for my trade, plus they offer an additional Lifetime powertrain warranty that Courtney foots the bill for. Nice!They were friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. A great experience in closing the deal also.I haven't used the service dept yet. But if it anything like the sales staff, I see nothing but many years of happy driving ahead!

We narrowed our search down to 4 car brands and 1-2 dealers for each. We drove the cars and got pricing from most of them, including Courtney. We chose Courtney due to a great price (their FIRST price), a great car and they provided ZERO drama.At other dealers:1) One Ford dealer told us they negotiated with the state to lower the personal property taxes. Personal property tax is computed by the TOWN...2) The Toyota dealer tried to justify a 20% higher lease amount telling us it was a better car.... 3) The Hyundai Manager asked us what he needed to do to keep us from shopping around...Its statements like that that reinforce the need to shop around.4) The other Honda dealer tried to win us over last minute with a lower price.... we almost signed until we realized the lease mileage allowance was less. Credit to them, it was not discussed, but it was quite a surprise considering he had my credit card and already called my insurance company with the VIN....I thought it was Honda that made the difference, but I think it was Courtney that made the difference... They are low key that when you consider them vs the others in the market you start to think they don't want your business. To the contrary they seem to be confident that you will come back once you have looked at the others, and that is exactly what we did.

Let me begin... As ive stated before the salesman vic was great, no pressure, honest and made the purchase easy. But, shortly after begin to have mechanical issues. Performance was bogged down from time to time very badly and gas mileage much lower then advertised. Rattles started from the dashboard to put it all shortly it didn't feel like a new car at all ! Made apt. Had to wait over a week because the service advisor craig was on vacation. Was told nothing they could do if they found a problem therefor wait to bring it in. Fuel pump module was replaced and the rattle attempts were unsuccessful after over 6 hours of missing work n sitting there. End of the day comes an was told to make another apt. The performance issues later returned and by time oil change was due i had fixed the rattle myself. I still tried to work with them as much as i could. After several more apts. For misc. Rattles, a heavy vibration and a bad jerking/judder to keep it quick i was basically told they were normal every time and sent on my way. As of 26th of Feb the vibration all over the car sometimes worse then others had gotten bad, constant rattle deep inside dashboard and heavy jerking were all told to service adv. Who was test driving with me. Was again told it was normal, and even though rattle was acknowledged was told they wouldn't keep car or provide rental. To make another Apt. Lol.. called corporate honda and started case file shortly after. Luckily i have recorded as many of the problems on video as i was able to and as much detail from service Apt's as i could. PLEASE! Look at your service tickets before you leave and make sure you get one EVERY time people. Double check that the problems you went there for are stated clearly because you might need them. Had high hopes after such good experience while buying the car with my Gf. Things went downhill quick after dealing with service dept. We love the car and just want it the way it was when it was bought, not even 3 months ago lol. O yea the service advisor led me to believe his name was Russell for 3 apts. Until I overheard someone in the shop call him crai*g. Real nice... *** As of feb,29,2016 have video of engine moving back and forth and then slamming down as switched from park to drive to reverse. Called service dept. and told them this, that i had recorded it and thought the car was dangerous and was told no rental for the small vibration I'm feeling, and that they'll let me know when they figure out what they want to do. We feel unsafe in this car... who knows from here. My Gf is wrecked and beyond upset. Now we feel like were stuck with no help and having to fight uphill just to get the car back to normal. They are also VERY abusive to the cars they drive at least was the case with me. One time even going from reverse to drive without hitting brake and stopping first. What a nightmare, hope this gets better at some point.

My car buying experience at Courtney Honda was nothing short of extraordinary. Jay Vining didn't pressure me for a sale - he patiently walked me through all the features and answered my questions , took me for a test drive to demo the features , and then put me behibd the wheel. Jay then did something even more amazing. He encouraged me to also test drive the other cars on my list. Needlesa to say neither the cars nor the salea experience came close to measuring up.When I came back the next day with my family, Jay was with a customer. .. so he had Steve Courtney run through the features again, while he was busy. Then, he took my deposit and within days, located the exact version I was looking for. I was able to pick up the car within a week, wven though I had splash guards installed. When I came to pick up the car, we walked through all the technology setup. Jay encouraged me to come back if I had any questions, and introduced me to the service department. I really have never had anything close to this positive exoerience when buying a car - I highly recommend Courtney Honda.

Don't buy any used cars from this dealership. Figured I'd be safe by going with a dealership. The car didn't start when taking it off the lot, 2 doors didn't open, the back of the driver seat fell off. That was the first 4 days. I was told I needed to wait 90 days before anything could be done, It had 37 k miles thought it would be reliable..., I thought wrong. Wanted to trade it in, book value it only lost $400 but they took $3000 off the value that I just paid 3 months prior. Basically forced to purchase a new car from them cause the trade in value would be even lower another dealer. I paid for my new car plus and extra $3,000 because they wouldn't work with me. There could have been upgrades, lower % rate. Even $1000 down But they did nothing to resolve the problem. Just screwed me out of $3000.

Rich Craven and Steve Altieri both distinguish themselves as the "BEST" in the business for their patience and help in locating and delivering the right car to my 83 yr old father who has been driving a family hand me down 91 Honda Accord for the past 10 years. Rich came across this jewel in a trade in and knowing that I was searching for an older Accord, an easier transition for my Dad, immediately contacted me. I was honestly so impressed that he not only listened to what I was looking for but called me when the opportunity presented itself. Rich was very patient as the entire family checked out the car and presented their questions and opinions. Since we are Italian, this is no easy task....Steve was present the night we came to pick up the car and he was kind and responsive to special requests of keys and Honda key chains. He even took a symbolic Mom and Dad photo as we were entering the car. After shopping around at other car dealerships in the area, I was extremely pleased at the treatment I received here. Mark, one of the best salespersons I have met, took care of me and gave me a thorough test drive, explaining the features of the car as I drove it which really helped solidify my decision buying the Honda Civic EX model. Mark was able to give me a great deal on the price of the brand new vehicle. Then, Milton, one of the Finance guys, continued to exhibit exceptional customer service. I was able to put down quite a bit of money on the car and he helped me finance the rest. He also thoroughly explained all the warranties and add-ons and helped me decide to get the extended lifetime warranty on the entire car for mechanical issues and get the special tire warranty. Five star team. In November I experienced a flat tire and the issue was resolved right then and there. This past Tuesday when I got another flat tire, there was some miscommunication about my warranty and I had to go somewhere else for my tire. Next day, the same exact tire I had just replaced with a new one was flat again!! I came back to the dealership / sales area to reaffirm that I had purchased the tire warranty and the finance manager Mark was extremely helpful. He partnered with the service area and they were able to fix my flat tire problem. I received such good customer service today, that it really made an impact. I'm so happy I purchased my car and the extra warranties from Courtney Honda, and I can't stress enough that not only did I have a great purchasing process for the car the moment I walked in but they really showed they care more about just the sale by helping me with my mechanical issues as well. I have to bring my grandfather to his doctors appointment tomorrow morning and Courtney Honda helped me get my issue resolved in the same day. Would highly recommend!!!! And I also love love love my new Honda Civic EX !!

I went into the dealership on a Saturday already knowing what features I wanted and I was not going to settle for anything less. At first Jay Vining thought I was insane because of my requests but then he managed to find a car with everything I wanted and more. Jay was both friendly and professional. He showed hospitality and made me feel welcomed. I test drove the car that Saturday and picked it up Tuesday. Unlike many sales men Jay was not pushy and that is part of the reason why I decided to finance my car at Courtney Honda. Once I decided I was going to get the car I had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Milton Jones. Milton was professional, friendly and knowledgeable. He treated me like I was one of his own daughters. He had even arranged for one of the sales men to pick me up on Tuesday so that I could head straight to work from the dealership. Since this experience was new to me, this being my first car and all, Milton made sure I understood and felt comfortable with the paperwork, terms and conditions. Milton's consideration for my needs and wants reassured me that I was making the best decision. And to close out my experience the mechanics put a few finishing touches on my car to ensure my safety by providing quality service. Every time I called either gentleman they answered and if they missed my call they made sure to call me back. Even Joe the mechanic was available when I needed him. No one ever gave me the run around nor were they ever unavailable. My experience at Courtney Honda was by far the best experience I've had throughout my car search. If you are in the market for a new car, first thing you should decide on is buying a Honda....their insight (no pun intended) in designing a car is clearly second to none. I purchased a 2014 Pilot and I couldn't be happier. Every detail, down to the "blind spot" window defogger on the passenger side window only (think about it - why would you need it on the other window) is well thought out.With that being said, and since this is a dealer review, the second thing you should decide on is your Honda dealership. If you live in CT, then the correct choice is Courtney Honda in Milford. Every person I dealt with was professional, sincere and extremely proud of their product and their dealership.And now the third and final thing you should do when entering Courtney Honda is request Linda Thanassi. She is pleasant, always happy to see you, knows her product and has great follow up skills without being pushy about it. Linda was a pleasure to work with and 3 weeks after my purchase I am still in contact with her thanking her for the extras she delivered in making my buying experience great. I'm excited to write this review. I went to the dealership worried to death. All my other car buying experiences were horrible at Ford and Hyundai. High pressure, no information, or worse ... misleading information. Happy to report ... that is NOT the case AT COURTNEY HONDA!!! The salesman, Ron, was both professional and courteous. He was knowledgeable and took the time to go the extra mile. I left there with a new Civic ... and I'm just thrilled. When I went to pick it up Ron took me to the car, explained all of the features, offered to help set up and sync my iphone and went bumper to bumper with everything I needed to know. He's first class all the way.The financial people are wonderful as well. No hidden fees, no bull. What you see is what you get. He had everything prepared when I met to sign the papers, explained everything thoroughly and I did not feel pressured at all. The best car buying experience I have ever had. Ron even called the next day to see how things were going ... and to find out if we had any questions. We are glad we stopped here first. I had searched on yout website and a few days later I heard from Mr. Anthony Feliciano. He was cordial and professional. I would recommend him highly, I already have and as well Courtney Honda. I was impressed with the staff and also with Milton Jones,Financial Manager. He made me feel comfortable and was a passive gentleman. What I loved about Mr. Feliciano was,the fact, that he wasn't overbearing and pushy like some sales persons can be. I told him what I was shopping for and by the time I got there, he had information for me about your CRV's and what I was searching for. Everyone was cordial, friendly and professional, from the moment you walk into the building. Ron, was another wonderful and gentle man, as well, Bob (do not kow their last names). The staff in the service department were also very friendly and pleasant. Mr. Steve Courtney was very pleasant. I am glad to have had the pleasure of meeting him. I came in looking for a car after visiting their competitors. I was received warmly! I explained that I was not purchasing today and that I would make my decision after looking at 2 other vehicles. Amira extended herself and made sure that I was being treated as if I were purchasing the car that day. As a person formerly in retail I was impressed. At this visit, we were turning in a Honda Accord that we had leased and leasing a new car, and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. I bought this Jeep - I was told it had absolutely no problems with it. While driving home, the temperate gauge was spiking. I brought it back in, they claimed it was a loose hose, and they "fixed" it. Then it was "fine" for awhile. Now I realize that all they did was add coolant (or water) to the vehicle.. because when the temperate gauge spiked again a month later, they claimed that they have no record of what they did to fix it. Turns out, the vehicle needed a new heater coil ($1,100). Thanks for nothing.

Re:2006 Honda Odyssey (purchased new at Courtney) Starter / Relay / Solenoid problemSymptoms:Intermittent starting problem. Occasionally, when I turn the ignition switch, I only get a single click, the starter does not engage, and the car will not start. This issue will continue for one or more days. Then, all of a sudden, the starter starts fine.Some other times, when I turn the ignition switch, I get repeating clicks and the starter does not engage. I release the ignition switch. Try it again and the starter works fine.Not sure if this is a starter problem, a relay problem or a solenoid issue. Would like the problem identified and corrected. Would hate to pay for a starter replacement to find that was not the issue and Im sure it is not multiple components at issue.Resolution: - Service took the time to acurately diagnose the problem first and not use just a "parts changer" mindset (where you just keep replacing parts until you "Solve" the problem). Left the van with Honda and Bob (and the mechanic) patiently checked it multple times per day (for an entire week) until we could confidently id the problem component.

Service area is clean and neat. What you first notice when you walk through the door is the quiet. Everyone is about their job quietly, listening to the service manager behind the desk. Parts dept. was equally as efficient. The waiting area was pleasant. Service was quick and professional. I was not ready to buy a car that day. I told Jay what amount I had in my budget and what interest rate I wanted on the loan. I ended up buying a car that day. I have purchased many Honda's and always from one dealership. It was a huge step for me to leave that dealership and move my business to Courtney Honda of Milford. Jay Vining treated me as if I had been a long time customer of Courtney instead of a first time customer. I was not sure what to expect when I first contacted internet sales, but right from the start they where responsive and fair. For my experience there wasn't any gamesmanship on their part it was clear and direct. It was what I was expecting from the dealership I purchased all my Honda's from but apparently they where more interested in getting the best deal for them than keeping me as a customer. Courtney is still family owned and works hard for the business. I appreciated the customer service and feel of Courtney I wasn't just another "number" on the tote board. I was blown away by the ease of the transaction. There weren't any unexpected surprises at the closing of the deal. I look forward to purchasing my next car from Courtney in about 5 years.

The experience was excellent. I got the appointment day needed as the vehicle is in daily use. This was this car's 1st service. Service was performed and completed that morning which relieves any stress by not having the vehicle. Upon picking up the vehicle the service rep advised us that there was a recall on the steering wheel air bag. We are now scheduling for that service to be performed. Overall our experience with Courtney Honda has been excellent.

Last week I had a check engine light come on while driving home from work. I used my navigation to find the closest Honda dealer because I am still under dealer warranty. Unfortunately I arrived at the dealership at 5:15 p.m. and the service technicians had gone home. An employee was still there and I told him I was afraid to drive with the warning light on and asked if I should leave it there until the next day when they open? He said he would check the car's computer and let me know if it was something that could be driven until they open. He went and got a portable device and checked it and told me it was an oxygen sensor code and I could drive it home and return at a more convenient time the next day. I was thrilled I didn't have to arrange for a ride home and could safely leave. He didn't have a name tag so I asked his name. He said it was Craig or possibly Greg(?) and he was the service manager. I told him I was surprised a manager knew something kind of technical and learned he was a technician there for over 20 years until his back gave out. I dropped the car back off the next day and it was fixed that same day. I was really impressed that they didnt close the door in my face at quitting time and really cared about my emergency situation..which turned out to be not such an emergency! Thanks guys!

I was going to Courtney Honda for ten years. My check engine light came on in my civic after three visits they could not fix the problem though each visit cost me 200. Plus dollars. So their motto we fix it right the first time is bull. I was shopping for my next Honda a pilot touring was what I wanted. I brought my car in for the fourth time this time the service guys were making it sound like it was my fault they couldn't fix the problem. They said because I was waiting the were rushing to get me out of there. To which I responded don't rush I will have a family member pick me up or give me a loaner while you fix my car. Their response.....we don't give loaners for that. They once again could not fix my car. I left and never looked back. Just an FYI. To the manager of Courtney Honda .... I did buy a Honda Pilot Touring but not at your place. You lost the sale and you lost a 10 year customer becaue of the way your service team treated me. You might want to rethink how you treat your customers. Unless you have so many you can afford to treat a customer of 10 years so badly.
