This is the first time I've had an issue with this service center, but honestly, one time is all you should be allowed when it comes to safety. As far as I know, my car was sitting on the lift from Thursday last week, to Saturday with nothing being done. I brought it in for routine maintenance and to have my AC checked with other minor things to look over. After being told it would take weeks to perform a diagnostics due to the backlog of cars sitting on the lot waiting for the same thing, I just opted for the routine maintenance which included an oil change. To make a long story short, my experience from Thursday to Saturday encouraged me to seek a second opinion with another mechanic. After having my brother check the oil level, we discovered the oil level was barely in the safe zone. The second mechanic (of a non-related service center) confirmed that DARCARS service center technician failed to replace filter cap properly which caused an oil leak. Without completing a diagnostics (to pinpoint what is wrong with it), DARCARS quoted me $495 to repair my AC. The second mechanic performed a full diagnostics which determined I only needed freon. A can of freon costs $9 (or slightly more) and with labor I doubt the final price would be $495. Furthermore, the full diagnostics performed by my second (and new) mechanic revealed that the list of items found wrong with my vehicle according to the DARCARS service center was incorrect. Simply put, I was given an expensive and inaccurate laundry list. If you are having your vehicle serviced by this particular service center, I suggest you get a second opinion from a professional of no affiliation with this establishment. It may serve you well to have someone knowledgeable in the basics of vehicle maintenance accompany you as you drop off your vehicle to make sure you are not being taken advantage of. Whether it is this place or somewhere else, often times, mechanics will tell you anything to drive up the price -this holds true for anyone whom they believe are not familiar in this area, and more so women. If I didn't go with my gut, I would have been running errands thinking I had oil in my car, and it was safe to drive.

This is an awesome dealership! I highly recommend visiting them if you’re in the market for a Jeep. Always work with straight forward professionals here. None of the time consuming games. Plain language negotiations structure starts with sales staff managers and filters down through the ranks. I don't enjoy the process anymore than anyone else. But I have purchased 11 new cars since 1980 and 4 of them at this dealer and no repeat buys at any of the other 7 dealers.

Yeah this dealer was okay but did some sketchy dealing.I'll start with the negative opinions because there seems to be plenty.- To start if you look at the window sticker the freight charge is built into the sticker price for $995. The advertise $5,500 in rebates. But come time for you to sign for the car you are checking out and they are charging another $995 for freight. So effectively they are charging twice for freight or only giving you $4,505 in rebates depending on which way you look at it.- Next is dealing with license plates for out of state buyers. If you plan to buy the vehicle and register it in your home state like me (because I am in the military) be prepared to drive to the dealer again to pick up your plates. As well and be sure to stay in contact with the registration people because they will not look into any issues unless you are constantly asking questions. It was not until 23 days after I bought the vehicle that I was contacted that they were going to start registering my vehicle. I assumed that would be done within the first 7 days after but alright. 25 days after they said they were registering the vehicle I contacted them asking about my plates and it turns out they were having issues with my insurance and I needed to update it. At this time I only had 11 days until my temporary plates expired. So I waited up until a day before the temporary plates expired and informed them I needed new ones. They informed me that I would have to pay 15$ to renew them and wait until the day they expired. Come the day the temporary plates expired they refused to give me new temporary plates because my permanent plates should be arriving in the next few days. Now my problem is getting to the dealer on expired tags to pick up my new plates.- Third thing that is not a big deal but irks me a bit is the fact that I am spending $32,000 on a vehicle and when it came to asking about accessories they do not give any discounts or incentives. I asked about a few things like remote start and they quoted me $450 plus installation. Whiskey Tango Foxtrot to that. The MSRP for the remote start unit is $280 on Mopar's website. So they inflated the price $170. So much for appreciation of the customer buying a vehicle through them. I have purchased a few other cars from dealers and all have offered a 10-20% discount on the accessories if you were buying a vehicle that day.- Last but not least is not a huge thing either. The salesman I dealt with did not know much about the car he was selling. He claimed 300 hp and some mumbo jumbo tourque number. I was also told the vehicle had Bluetooth and XM but upon leaving the dealer the salesman stated "Oh it does not have Bluetooth or XM, I was wrong about that". So before going to the dealer read the window sticker on their site and if you do not see connectivity group or satellite radio on the sticker then that Wrangler does not have those options. Now there were some pros among this madness.- They did give me a fair value for my trade-in. Not everything I asked for on it but it definitely was not the worst slap to the face. I waited a few weeks for them to come up on their original offer. It is just business to low ball up front I understand that. - I will give them credit on the speed of the whole closing process. And despite my military pay they were able to get me financed for a decent rate.All in all I would struggle to recommend this place to any one. I mean nothing was terribly crooked but there were a lot of questionable ethics in this dealer. So I gave them 2 stars.

By far one of the hardest working dealerships I've ever encountered. The salesman Mr. Don Okay is the friendliest and nicest saleman I've ever met. They gave us more for our trades than we ever would have expected. They saw we wouldn't pay more than our max price and when it showed the vehicle would be a little over that they worked it so we got exactly the price we could afford. If you're thinking of buying a vehicle, I 100% recomend this dealership and Mr. Okay. So SO happy!!

One night I found a 2010 Chrysler Town & Country on Cars.com and submitted my info. At 7:30 the next morning John Z. from Darcars called me and set up an appointment. Upon arrival the selected car was prepped and ready for a test drive. John Z and the rest of the Darcars staff were all very pleasant and helpful. I was shown a couple of other 2010 Chrysler Town & Country minivans for comparison, and ended up buying one of the others. It had just been traded in and was not prepped for sale. But in a very short time Darcars cleaned it, prepped it, and got it's Maryland state inspection; we did the paperwork and I drove it home. Darcars took my old Nissan van as a trade-in, which was very convenient for me. Overall a pleasant experience.

I recently inquired about a vehicle at this dealership. After making my appointment to come test drive the car, I arrived to see that no steps had been taken to clean the car. It was an absolute mess. There was dirt crusted on the car under the roof racks and in the sunroof. The inside was a mess as well with grease on the dash and steering wheel. In addition to the poor condition of the car, the customer service was horrible. Completely horrible. I did not feel welcomed and was not treated with courtesy. It was if I was inconveniencing them by asking questions. I consider the visit to the dealer a complete waste of my time. I will never return to this dealer.

I was looking to get back in an SUV I currently owned a 2010 Camaro SS and even though it was a fun car and very fast the gas mileage sucked and I had no room to fit my friends. So I looked through Cars.com and saw an SUV I immediately liked. I emailed Frank Mitchum with Darcars in Waldorf to see if it was still available and within a couple hours he replied and said it was. Even though I was not available to get there to check it out til that weekend he assured me if anything came up he would let me know. He even sent me an appointment reminder the day before letting me know we were still on for our appointment. When I got there I test drove it, made the deal and did all the financing within a few hours! The fastest car buying experience of my life.Which was great cause it was a Saturday and I was able to get in and get out and enjoy the rest of my day!

The salesman was extremely helpful and even offered to pick me up since I live far from the dealership but was interested in a used vehicle there that suited my needs. Likewise the finance gentleman was helpful and explained everything. No problems here. the price was ok, My problem arose a month later when I inquired about the permanent tags and my payment booklet. All of the sudden Mary gets involved and low and behold they can not mail the tags and I have to spend the better part of a day driving there and back to pick them up. I insist this is unreasonable and that I would simply like the tags to be mailed (as I was told they would be when I purchased the vehicle) but she insists they can not. Finally I offer to pay the $5 to cover the mailing and she says ok but I have to mail them a check first. Really Waldorf? you can't cover a $5 tag mailing fee to provide the customer service you promised when you sold the vehicle? Considering the huge inconvenience to me to drive all the way there to pick up the tags, is having a disappointed customer really worth the extra $5? Oh and as far as the payment book I was told they didn't know anything about that and that I would have to look into that myself? They've got the selling part down but not the follow up. When you buy a vehicle having legal permanent tags and the ability to submit your payment is pretty important you would think they would do more to facilitate these aspects of the purchase process.

I am so happy that I visited this dealership and was treated with the utmost respect as soon as I entered the showroom. Everyone was extremely professional and polite and businesslike. Gary immediately referred me to my salesman, Brian and he patiently and accurately explained how everything on the vehicle worked before I took the test drive by myself. I had not purchased a Jeep since 2004 and so much had obviously changed for the better and for safety. Brian patiently explained every detail and answered every question that I had. I also received much more than I anticipated for my trade thanks to Gary. I was then ready to talk financing and Ali really took care of me. Although I was pre-approved with my credit union, he beat their interest rate and also discounted the extended warranty and made sure I was happy and comfortable with the deal.I would definitely recommend this dealership and their professional and caring staff to all of my friends and acquaintencesJob Well Done!

This was the first time I have ever purchased my own vehicle. For a first timer, the customer service at dealership was exceptional! I knew exactly what I was interested in when I first walked in, at a price I was willing to pay. Sales Representative John Zweifel did a great job explaining everything I needed to know about my potential purchase. After test driving it, I knew it was the vehicle I wanted. Processing all the paperwork took as long as expected when buying a vehicle, but left there with a new 2013 Jeep Wrangler Sport! Since I drove alone to the dealership, John even followed/drove to my house and back in Arlington, VA. That demonstrated exceptional customer service. I was shopping down the street for a top-of-the-line 2013 Ford Explorer Limited and passed Darcars on my test drive. Having driven the new Chevrolet Tahoe and Honda Pilot, it occurred to me that I should check out the Grand Cherokee so I could rule it out (like the Tahoe and Pilot) and buy the Explorer with a clear conscience. Well, my test drive of the 2014 Grand Cherokee Overland with the V8 and 8-speed transmission just blew me away. After several days of phone calls and e-mails with our salesman Ali Allahiari and the GM Adel Milani, my wife and I made the purchase. First, they were very professional and there were no financial surprises at closing. We were pleased with our price and with 100 miles on the odometer so far we're very pleased with our new Jeep. Second, I never thought about the Ford, Chevy, or Honda again (the others were never really considered). The electronic candy is nice and comparable with what is available in most upper-end SUV's. But in the end it was the V8, which gets less gas mileage but is worth every penny. So, why did I rate Darcars a 5? We purchased a car that the family really loves and had a great buying experience at Darcars Waldorf.

I have been searching for a new car over the past month and have stopped off at over 15 different dealers within the Virginia/Maryland area. DARCARs Chrysler of Waldorf was by far the most accommodating dealer that I came across. In fact, I drove 3 and a half hours just to verify that their pricing wasn't just a marketing scheme as my Jeep Grand Cherokee 2013 was more than 3 grand higher at any other dealer. I will not only recommend this place to people in the Maryland area, but I would strongly recommend anyone to visit this dealer in particular if you are looking to get straight forward answers from people aka Brian Villanueva that have the knowledge and wherewithal to back what DARCAR as a company represents.

We found a great used vehicle on Cars.com at this dealership and contacted the sales team to learn more. Though we made it clear we couldn't come to see the vehicle for a few days, we were told on the phone that it would be held for us until the time we agreed on. The day before our appointment, we called back to confirm and were told everything was fine; 3 hours later the sales rep called back to say the vehicle had been sold. Poor customer service and very poor communication with customers. We won't be buying from this dealership.

About 2 weeks ago fluid was leaking from underneath the hood of my Grand Cherokee. New to the area, I took it into your dealership where they looked at my jeep and gave me an estimate for the repair. I understood it would cost me $62 for them to look at my Jeep and that cost would be waived if I agreed to get my Jeep fixed at your dealership. Well the service worked told me that I needed a new water pump and a new thermostat and that it would cost $750 to repair. I am not a mechanic but something told me that the price was way too much. I said I would just take my Jeep somewhere else to get it fixed. I ended up taking it to Gerry Epps Auto Body in White Plains and he fixed it for me for $301, had my jeep back to me in less than 24 hours and also said there was NOTHING wrong with my thermostat. The real reason as to why I am writing you is due to my last incident with your service shop. About a week after getting my water pump fixed, I lost the key to my Jeep. I had to have it towed to your dealership to get a new key made. I was told over the phone that it would be $60 for the key and $60 for the programming. I called back the next day to remind the service workers that I ONLY needed a key made and not the remote. The service guy then told me the cost would be around $200. I had to correct him and mention the quoted cost from the day before and his response was, "Umm... yeah, I think you're probably right. I'm not exactly sure of the cost." In my opinion, when a customer calls about a specific item, the service guy should be able to give an exact price especially when it is JUST a key being made. Well, when I went to pick my Jeep up with the new key, I was charged $153 with $31 charges as a misc. charge. The charge was only explained to the lady who took my payment when she called over as a shop charge they couldn't get around. What shop charge is there that they couldn't get around when programming a key?!?! Anyhow, when I went to my Jeep and sat down, I saw that my original key was placed between my wiper blade and windshield. The service worker never mentioned they found my key and made a new key even knowing that my Jeep was towed there JUST to get a new key made. I feel that service and communication should have been MUCH, MUCH better.

The folks at DARCARS Jeep/Chrysler were very nice and pleasant to work with. The salesman himself was extremely honest and helpful. The manager took a few hundred bucks off the price for water in a tail light, which I thought was very good. Two things that I didn't like were the run around from the finance guy when I went to make the purchase. He quoted me a 4% rate (not bad), and gave me some other quotes for warranty coverage. After I balked, he changed his mind and lowered the quotes. But that's typical in used car sales. The other annoyance was the fact that they were not upfront about the type of warranty and who accepted it (they stated it was accepted everywhere no questions asked, but several mechanics and dealers disagreed). The warranty coverage is not their fault though. But a big plus was that they called the previous owner of the vehicle to locate a missing item, and that saved me several hundred bucks in replacement cost. Bottom line: a great deal (below blue book private party) on a great car, with friendly service! Beware of the warranty coverage.

The staff at DARCARS, Waldorf was very professional and committed to making the deal smooth and efficient. I got the best vehicle for miles for the best price, I have had 8 hobby cars over the last 25 years.They were a pleasure to deal with, and I have never written that before about any dealership. I was completely satisfied. I don't know if they will ever see this entry, but it is well deserved.

Clearly a FIVE star dealership. Our salesman John was fantastic with no pressure at all as well as attentive, patient and knowledgeable. Our experience in the greater D.C. Metro area has been deplorable at new car dealerships. My hope has been restored with good faith practices from a great dealership. If you live in VA do yourself justice and drive to Waldorf and see John at the Chrysler Jeep dealership. The General Manager was fantastic as well and again never put any pressure on the sale. If you have not driven a 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee I highly recommend you do before you pluck down 70 grand on a land cruiser. Hands down the new Jeep Grand Cherokee has set a new bar for the SUV. I would highly recommend this dealership. They are clearly head and shoulders above any other dealership in the Metro area. We are delighted and the Jeep Overland is incredible. Thanks for restoring my faith in US automakers and US owned dealerships. Tim form Northern Virginia.

I have brought several new cars over the years. This was without a doubt the most pleasing experience I have had with a new car dealer. My salesman John was friendly, professional, courteous and informative. John answered all my questions and made it clear they wanted to sell me a car at a price I would be happy with. When I went into the showroom I told them I was looking for a small SUV and how much I was prepared to spend, did they have something that they could make work. They never tried to push me pass the $$$ amount I mentioned. I test drove a sedan and an SUV and choose the JEEP Patriot. The financial manager was just as helpful in explaining all my options and making sure I received the best financing for my situation. For once I left a dealership withou feeling stressed out. With the rebates and other discounts I received I was extremely happy with my deal and would recommend this dealership to family and friends.

NO! I would not recommend wasting time at waldorf chrysler. The salesman (john zweitel) rambled incessently, inaccruately, lied freely, and insulted both my wife and father in law, after ignoring them. And after all that, quoted a price $7000 over the selling price on the same vehicle that my father in law had purchased 5 months ago at the same dealership. I looked at a used Miata three years ago and caught the salesman in three lies as well. They won't get a third chance from me.
