I am not happy with my $50k purchase from Ed Martin Acura and recommend against this dealership for two reasons. First, the salesman was poor at communicating, often not following up at all. More importantly, my first brand new car was delivered with a dent, scratched paint, and engulfed in dirt. I regret not rejecting the delivery and canceling the contract right then and there. July 2021: I decided to buy the 2021 Acura RDX with Advance package as my first new car. Ed Martin Acura was the only dealership within 500 miles with the car in a color I wanted. I live 100 miles from Ed Martin in Fort Wayne. Aug 11-13: I test drove my dream car, took pictures, paid the down deposit, and signed the paperwork. Happy, I flew out on vacation agreeing to pay to deliver the car while I was away. Aug 26: The car was delivered. My parents call to tell me there is a sizable dent and that the car is covered in dirt. I later learned the car was parked next to active construction for the previous two weeks. The salesman assured me the dent would be taken care of. My impatience and excitement got the better of me, and I accepted the delivery. That was my big mistake. I agreed to drive the car back on Sep 7th to repair the dent and scratched paint pending the salesman confirming his guy would be around to repair it. I never heard back from the salesman but showed up anyway at 7am (their opening time on Google maps at the time). I fixed their hours on Google for them while I waited for them to open at 9am. The dent was fixed in two days, and the scratched paint was mostly fixed (see images). I had received no communication regarding how to pay my loan so I asked the salesman to look into that. I have yet to hear back from him. Sept 23: I reached out to the general manager (GM) as a courtesy before publishing this review. He said these problems boil down to storing a brand new car in a bad location and the salesman not inspecting my car before delivering it. The GM immediately sent me a refund check for the botched delivery and offered free GlassCoat for my troubles which I accepted. The GM said the original salesman will reach out to schedule a time to service the vehicle. I did not hold my breath. Nov 18: It has been almost two months, and I have again heard nothing from the salesman who cashed his commission check months ago. I will never do business with Ed Martin again, and I suggest you think twice before doing so. I escalated this complaint directly to American Acura. They responded with an apology email and closed the complaint. $50,000 has bought me the worst customer service I've ever received.

I have been a loyal Ed Martin customer for 4 years now and have visited 4-5 times, spending in the ballpark of around $2,000 on service in total. I have NEVER had an experience that went smoothly. A transmission issue under warranty was unable to be fixed and was given up on. I have had a metal engine bracket shut in the hood and left that way, a battery covering lost by the service team and then later blamed on me that I was the one at fault, too many additional issues to count. There are NO quick drop offs and since early 2020, there are NO loaners for $300-500 services. Most recently, I arrived to my pre-scheduled appointment, confirmed by Ed Martin to find that they had "lost" my appointment and I would have to re-book. I have given them the benefit of the doubt for the past 4 years, but I decided this would be my last time visiting as the hassle is just not worth it. My advice: take your Acura to a local Honda dealer instead of Ed Martin.

Update To the utmost credit of this dealer and specifically Dennis Novales and John Bostic, My issue has been resolved satisfactorily. John Bostic called me and we agreed to mutually acceptable terms based on the way this whole situation transpired. Mistakes were likely made and and all I expected was a reasonable middle compromise and that is what is occurred in the end. I have no doubt that Ed Martin made some major concessions in order to make this deal happen and I want to recognize the good faith effort to make good on an unfortunate situation.

I saw a car online and made a inquiry via the web site. In about 3 minutes I received a call and verified it was still available and made arrangements to drive to Indy which was about 90 miles for a meeting with a great salesman who took my wife and I thru everything plus my grandson and his family had taken us there for a day out. I liked how informative the young man was and how very helpful he was plus everyone he introduced to us. I don't want to knock the folks back home because its been awhile since I bought a car in my home town but this was excellant treatment. My wife and I drove ourselves home and my grandson said to me that he just knew I was going get the car and he was right. Everything was too good to pass up.

I purchased a vehicle several weeks ago and my experience was one I will never forget. I was promised no haggle pricing. Instead, I received Unprofessional, Pushy sales tactics and typical used car salesmanship.When I presented my offer, it was initially declined. I understood so I requested for my keys to my car from my sales person. As I walk to the the door the sales manger approached me without my keys and asked my what would get me to buy the car. We had already discussed this, at this point I was feeling very uncomfortable and I just want to go home. The sales manager demeanor changed from friendly to annoyed. Annoyed that I was not willing haggle. I presented my initial offer again and it was begrudgingly accepted. When you purchase a vehicle it should be an exciting and rewarding experience. You are purchasing this investment because of your hard work. Instead it turned into a game of cat and mouse. I was the mouse being chased and backed into a corner. Buyers Beware.

Driving from Chicago to Indy Saturday our Car started to run rough about 30 minutes outside of Indy. I found a local Acura dealer and the service dept was open. We pulled in at lunch time and were met by Joe Shanholt, Asst Service Manager. Joe arranged for a loaner and we were off to visit our daughter. Joe and his team were able to repair our car before they closed for the weekend. We were able to drive back to Chicago and not have to stay over till Monday. Thanks again Joe for taking care of us and our car!!!

I rarely write reviews and if it were possible I would leave zero stars. I went to test drive a Pilot today and loved it. My fiance and the sales manager, Bob Warner, had been conversing throughout the day and was just waiting for me to test drive it to make a decision. I thought it was perfect and told the sales manager that all I needed was for my fiance to come and finalize the paperwork for me as I had another engagement. Ed Martin Acura ran my credit and presented financing options and while my fiance was there with the paperwork in front of him, another salesman came up and advised that he had just sold it to another person. I find it extremely unprofessional that they would run my credit and while my fiance was there to fill out and sign, they sold it out from underneath him while doing paperwork. We had test drove the vehicle first and was in the process of finalizing financing. Because of this, I will never purchase any vehicle from Ed Martin and will advise all of my family and friends of their shady business practices.

Two cars purchased from Ed Martin with over 8 years of service. So many HORRIBLE experiences to mention. Their lack of attention to detail and lies to my wife and myself about car issues have gotten out of hand. The last time was today with them forgetting to tighten the oil drain plug in my vehicle. Sounds ridiculous but true after noticing a quart of oil on my garage floor. Once before they forgot to tighten the oil filter in my NSX. This is an Acura dealer we are talking about with Jiffy Lube mistakes. Here is a list of issues that I've had with Ed Martin Acura service that I can remember off of the top of my head. 1) I brought my NSX in to have the trunk struts replaced. Come to find out that Ed Martin replaced my engine hatch struts instead. I had to bring the car back to be corrected. 2) My NSX was in for oil change and when I got it back the front drivers side floor mat was ripped by the past Service Manger, Karla. She had to move the seat so far up to drive my car that the mat was shredded in two places by the seat rails. Ed Martin had to replace mats. 3) Our TL needed a new window motor in the front passenger side door. Ed Martin replaced the back door window motor by mistake without checking which one didn't work or reading the notes. When we took the car back the next day to have it corrected we got the car back with the front passenger door window tint torn and ripped right in the middle of the window. Your service techs didnt even notice this and we had to bring the car back for a 2nd time over the 3 days. 4) My NSX was in for another oil change. When I got home and put the car in the garage I noticed about 2 qts of oil leaked out on the floor. I reached under the car and tightened the oil filter by hand over 2 full turns. 5) Two oil changes ago my Armada was said to need brakes by Ed Martin. I was told to have only 2 mm left on the pads. I had them inspected by an outside source and myself and they had plenty of pad left on all 4 wheels. I did nothing to the brakes and the last oil change Ed Martin said that my brakes were great and had over 50% of pads left at about 5mm. This still baffles me! 6) Interior panel damaged on my mint NSX. Nobody would take responsibility for the damage and they actually blamed it on me. Panel had to be replaced after me insisting over 2 weeks of conversations with the Manager Gabe. Manager actually said maybe it would be best for me not to bring my NSX back to Ed Martin Acura anymore. Who says that? Ed Marin Acura should be embarrassed by this review.

I've been waiting over 3 months for a "custom order" from Butler toyota that they "lost" in chicago when it came off the train. Well I have to move out of state in 3 days, so that was simply unacceptable considering it was due on the lot yesterday. When we asked Butler for a loaner so I could move, they said no and tried to guilt us saying that we were asking too much for a deal they were already losing money on. (lies) We mentioned how good the service was at Ed Martin when my mother bought an Acura, and they're reply was "well maybe you should take your business there." I cancelled my order immediately and crossed the street. Bernie Butler not only got right on the calls to get the EXACT truck I wanted from Ohio, but he's getting it transferred in tomorrow! He was a pleasure to work with, and took the extra time to find the same vehicle I supposedly "custom ordered" at Butler. I highly recommend Ed Martin to anyone buying any car. Their staff is very helpful and will go out of their way to ensure customer satisfaction. A++ all 'round. I literally can't express how amazed I am at how much the entire staff helped me. Business major analysis: this is a friendly and happy workplace. Employees are happy, and that makes customers happy. Great management strategy. Great business relationships. Just great all round!!!

I nquired on line about a vehicle. I may have received an automatic email indicating someone would contact me but I don't ever recall being contacted or communicating with this dealership. As I was pursuing a number of potential vehicles, I ultimately pruchased a car from another dealer. This is the second car I purchased this year. Overall the quality of my experience was excellent. What I was slightly less than overwhelmed by was the answers I got to specific questions that I had about the "service schedule" for my new 2014 Acura RLX. I asked what it was and the answer was " the car will tell you". When I asked how the car will know it needs service, I expected to learn what the mechanics and sensing technology was behind the...eg...oil translucence, density, or conductivity (metal). What I heard was "I really do not know. Dont worry about it, the car will tell you." I asked where can I go to get more information and was told, he did not know that either. I did not want to be a "pain" on my first visit, so I let it go but I still have these questions and would still like some more in depth answers....please. I am an engineer I admit so please do not be afraid to tell me how my new car works.....please! I am happy to come to Ed Martin, for a cup of coffee with your maintenance manager or other personnel that could share SOME insights with me.

Ed Martin has been servicing my 2000RL for 10 yrs. I wouldn't let anyone else touch it. Nolan (who's moved on to Anderson) and Jolene for the last 4 years are the BEST. Have only ever had one bad experience -- and I'm pretty sure that service tech was "excused" from employoment. EM took full responsibility and more than made it right with me. Do you have any idea how rare it is in this business to have that kind of honesty!! It's a mouthful for the poor girls who answer the phone, but EM really is the only name I need to know in car care.

I had been a long time Ed Martin Acura customer, having leased several vehicles from them in the past. When I decided to buy a car I, of course, went to Ed Martin because they had always been good to me. This has turned into an absolute nightmare. I ended up purchasing a used 2008 BMW which broke down within 48 hours of bringing it home and driving it. Since then, over the past 10 months I have taken it in for repairs 6 times. I learned that they had put the wrong tires on the car, or at least did not check to make sure the correct tires were there before selling it to me. The possible damage this has caused is yet to be seen. The front tire had a bulge and one of the rims ended up bent. $1,200 in new tires later, over $2,500 in additional repairs for broken sensors, faulty fuel injector, brand new battery and fixed rims I am left with a vehicle that I don't even feel safe driving anymore. Of course, I thought I was getting a decent deal at the time, but after seeing all of this, it's clear that this car was probably worth $8-10,000 less than what I paid. I brought this to their attention several months ago and their solution was to trade it in and give me a lease for $100 more than what I'm paying now. So much for customer loyalty. At the end of the day, they are all about the money. Sincerely, Cheated & Going Broke.

I have been an Acura owner since 2005! I have been taking my car here for years until I moved to Charlotte. I only deal with Jolene!!! I have been in Charlotte for two years and cannot find a place there I trust to work on my car. I have taken it to The dealerships in Columbia, Charlotte and Johnson City. Only to call and check pricing and suggested repairs with Jolene. She knows I can't bring my car in because I no longer live in Indy. I have spoken to her at least 5 times on the phone over the last two years about advice on the car. I was so disappointed with dealerships in the Carolina's I drove 10 hours here for Christmas to have it serviced at Ed Martin! My car has over 200,000 miles on it and only needed a few small repairs. They quoted $266 when Columbia quoted $2,500 for parts I repaired this year! If you have any question about taking your car to this dealership.... Deal with Jolene. She will tell you what you need to know. Hey, if I drove 10 hours by myself just to take it to her you know it's worth it!!!!!

Everyone was so nice! Always making sure we were comfortable, offering us refreshments, and just chatting with us even if they weren't our salesman. John was not what you picture when you think of a traditional car salesman which made for a great experience. He was very laid back, low pressure, and answered all of our questions thoroughly. Other dealerships didn't give us the time of day. John met with us a total of 4 times before we drove off in our new car. Great experience! Dan the finance guy was also very nice and accommodating as well!

I want to thank the sales manager and the whole team for taking care of the dent repairs. I can barely even tell where the dents used to be, and they are not noticeable at all from any distance.

I felt confident that they wanted to sell me a reliable vehicle. They went above and beyond on the service they did before listing the vehicle. They have high standards and seem to only have cars in excellent condition on their lot. Being a girl I did a lot of research and was intimidated at most other lots. They made me comfortable and didn't try any tricks with me. I paid a little more than I would have at a small lot, but you get what you pay for. I know that My used vehicle has been completely serviced and refurbished to like new!

I've worked with Ed Martin Acura on two different occasions in the last 3 years. The only reason they didn't get all of our cars is because we decided to go with Ed Martin Toyota on our last SUV. Service department has always been very strong and friendly. I specifically recommend Audrey their internet salesperson (you can use her for internet or not internet). She is very helpful and although we all know the buying process can sometimes be very long in our eyes, she is very helpful and makes it go as smoot as possible. She knows us every time we walk in for service. Just look for the bubbly blonde buzzing around and that is her. Acura as far as cars speak for themselves. In my opinion best brand out there.

I hadn't completely made up my mind regarding make or model when I first visited Ed Martin Acura to check out the Acura TSX. I was considering 2 or 3 other vehicles, all from different manufacturers. Burt Rabell, Chad Williams, and Gabe Greene were incredibly helpful and accomodating when showcasing the TSX in comparrison to the other vehicles I was considering. After multiple test-drives over multiple visits, I finally decided to go with the TSX. When I came in on Saturday to complete the purchase, everything was waiting for me and ready to go: the paperwork was prepared, the car was detailed and waiting out front, and the whole process took less than an hour to complete. I got a great price on the car, a great rate on the financing, and it was a great experience overall. I would recommend Ed Martin Acura and the whole Ed Martin Automotive Group to anyone in the market for a new or pre-owned vehicle.

I am very familiar with Ed Martin Acura. I purchased my used certified 1999 Acura RL from Ed Martin Acura in 2002. Over the years the customer service has gone from average to excellent in my opinion. I really enjoy seeing many familiar faces like Joline, Nancy Cline, Dave and Ike. I still own my RL and I truly believe it runs well to this day because I've always (everything) had it serviced at Ed Martin. My RL has 199,566 miles. In the fall of 2012, I purchased my 2013 RDX and was extremely satisfiied with my Sales Associate, Karen Collis. She was not pushy and allowed me plenty of time to decide. My RDX is wonderful and I was so pleased to see a recent commerical on television that the RDX has better resale values than some other comparable SUV's. I especially enjoy the smooth ride, the statelite radio are my favorites:). Thanks again.

Didn't buy an Acura but found a good deal on a used Honda CR-V on the Internet with such low mileage I thought it was a typo. After inquiring by email, Audrey Green called within 20 minutes and said the mileage was right, and set up a time for me to drive the SUV. Came back the next day for the purchase after the dealership shopped around to find me the best interest rate. Audrey was friendly, knowledgable and easy to work with. I got a good deal and a decent trade-in for my 2004 Camry. Only thing I wasn't happy about was the woman who advised me on extended warranties -- can't remember her name -- who was very pushy about wanting me to purchase insurance. I told her I wasn't interested and she made an inappropriate remark about my choice of not getting GAP insurance. Otherwise, a pleasant transaction for a woman who usually finds the car buying process intimidating.

I have purchased my second vehicle because of the vehicle itself and the overall experience with this dealership--and I am over 2 hrs away! It's such a relief to not feel pressured by the salesmen, and I feel so important and pampered at the dealership. They go out of their way to accommodate. When our vehicle was coming off of its lease, my husband was laid up on crutches and in pain. They were even going to deliver the car to us, 2 hrs away! But I ended up being up there anyway, so it worked out. They made the process so easy, with most of it conducted online and by mail for our convenience, and also coincided meeting with us when we had our doctor's appts in Indy. I've had no major issues with my vehicles at all and basically go once a year for an oil change. And I really appreciate the use of a loaner vehicle; although their service is very timely. We've dealt with a lot of very nice dealerships, but this one is what I'd call superior.

I am writing a review of the experience I have had thus far with Ed Martin Acura. I found a vehicle I was interested in and was contacted by Audrey, their Internet sales rep. She emailed me back and had called me the next morning. We went and drove the car I was interested and two others. I was like a kid in a candy store. she was not pushy, she was knowledgable and she was fun. I did not feel pressured or judged, and I actually ENJOYED being there. She explained everything very clearly to us. I will not know about financing until Monday. If I do proceed with the purchase, they will deliver the car to me (2.5 hours north). So I am selecting "no" at the bottom because I have not officially signed the papers yet. But I will recommend this dealership based on my experience.

I had a positive experience at this dealership. I test drove several new cars. I am shopping for a new Luxury sedan. I felt the dealer did not want to come down on the price of the Acura TL. A business associate had purchased his new RL there and said he got a better deal. Perhaps a woman shopping alone is not seen as a serious shopper. I have not made my purchase yet.

i went in to look at buying a SUV and the person i was dealing with didn't really seem to care about me liking the car. he was a little arrogant and was pressuring me into buying the car before i even returned it from the 24 hour test. also they say they have to pull your credit just for taking a used car for a 24 hour test. the car was great but the service left a sour tase in my mouth and i am surely not going to go back to them unless they start caring about the customer. when i brought the car back and said i will need to think about it, i didn't even get a "i understand" or "we look forward to hearing from you" and when i gave the keys back, there wasn't even a thank you for considering us. not a professional place.
