My wife and I were looking to purchase a Volvo to replace the 2002 C70 that our daughter totaled. With five children, and two of them driving, we are firm believers in Volvo's reliability and safety. After doing much research on the Internet and some test drives, we narrowed our search down to two small, local preowned dealers. The S60 seemed to be our best bet and fit our needs. What sold us on European Motors was Nathan's dedication to customer service, the online reviews on Cars.com, but most of all the car itself. We found a beautiful S60 that had absolutely everything we were looking for. Thank you European Motors and thank you Nathan. We are excited and looking forward to many years of enjoyment with our "new" car.

So, I started the search for a new/used vehicle by emailing sales departments at various dealerships. I had three simple questions. What was interesting is Nathan was the only one who responded in a timely manner and answered all three questions the first time. Most other internet sales departments didn't bother and jumped straight to asking when I was coming in to take a look at the car. This led me to believe Nathan wasn't just a salesman and was truly interested in great customer satisfaction. After three weeks of shopping and research I ended up coming back to Nathan and his dealership in PA. I was really lucky that the car I was interested in was actually still there as 2008 XC90 with less than 80K was very hard to find! I amtraked it from DC to Philly and Ubered to the dealership. The trip put me at the dealership after they closed but because Nathan was willing and able to communicate effectively (email/text), he stayed late knowing I was coming from such a distance showing empathy and understanding which is hard to come by these days. The buying process was painless and I am completely in love with my choice! I have no doubt that when I need another Volvo that I will be coming back to Nathan and his team. I would highly recommend this dealership to anyone looking for a Volvo as well. Also, don't let the smallness of the dealership fool you and make sure to bring dog treats for the beagles if you're going to be late!

Had a great experience each time dealing with this company. The only thing that makes purchasing a vehicle difficult is the distance of the dealer for me.

My wife and I have bought 2 cars from European Motors in the past 4 years. We have taken our cars to be serviced by them as well. They know these cars very well and it shows when it comes to repairs. They charge a fraction of the price the Volvo dealers charges (at least the ones we visited). We had an issue with the throttle control / fuel intake. My wife and I were out of town at the time so we went to a dealership and 2 hours and $200 later they had re-programmed the cars computer but had failed to actually solve the issue. Took it to these guys and they found the issue was the fuel intake valve (I believe that was the name of it, it was a little while ago) had a build up of gunk. They cleaned it and re-installed it all for less than $100. They told us it may need to be replaced but that it was an expensive part and that it was worth trying to use the existing part. Afterwards the car worked fine! (but then it was totaled in that hail storm we had; though none of the windows blew in like many of the other 'luxury' brands we observed stuck in the same storm) They've helped us with other minor issues as well (including a bent brake shield which mostly likely was cause because I got lazy about cleaning the driveway of snow last winter since the 2004 xc-70 we bought from them scoffed at the ice and snow trying to hold it in its place). They are very honest and pleasant to do business with. (We enjoy their service so much I've even convinced them to service my 2006 Mazda3 since at least the frame is the same as some of the Volvos of the same year; they've saved me money and time with that car as well compared to local Mazda dealer. But don't tell them I told you so..) In short, these guys are one of the oh too rare bastions of honest, knowledgeable, and just plain great car service. It seems a crime if at least 1 car in your driveway hasn't been bought from them.

Nate and Aaron are like proud parents when it comes to European Motors. This is immediately seen and felt when you enter the office at European Motors. From the historical photographs on the walls, to the nostalgic roll top desk, to the precious pups that will greet you, you are assured that this isn't your average auto shop. Nate and Aaron pride themselves on running the family owned shop on the values that the shop was originally built on. Professionalism, Master knowledge, and Customer Service. I recently took my 2004 Volvo X70 wagon in for a repair. The part needed did not arrive at the shop on the day Nate expected it to. Nate immediately offered me a loaner car. The following day when I picked up my car, I mentioned to Nate I was interested in a newer wagon with low mileage, and if something came in that was the deal of the century, let me know. Nate immediately pointed to a wagon on the lot. Upon closer inspection, I loved the car, but not the pin striping. No worries. Nate had the pin striping updated. It gave the car a whole new look! Sold! Nate now has a very reliable 2004 black X70 Volvo wagon, only two owners, for sale. European Motors for Life.

Nate and his team did a great job of describing the vehicle, addressing our concerns, and assuring us of an honest, easy, long distance purchase. We had looked at several other XC90'S with similar mileage and of the same age and this was the one dealership that didn't try to hide anything, from small scratches to the history of ownership. When we need to purchase again it will certainly be from European Motors and Nate and Aaron! Well done gentlemen, God Bless!

Aaron and Nathan are knowledgeable and good people. They are willing to take the time to help you and answer all of your questions. They know Volvos very well which is very reassuring. I love that the cars are clean, the shop is clean, and the property is clean. You can tell they take pride in what they do. I was not even planning on buying a car but I saw this Black C30 and they had such a great price on it. I couldn't pass up a quality purchase from a quality dealer! (I had to say I was buying a car to submit this review.)

Simply, Nate and his team are the hallmark of customer service and quality care. European Motors is the quintessential dealer/garage in the greater Reading area, and I can nary ponder another car service that meets (and exceeds) their lofty standards. European Motors is the benchmark for attentiveness, cost, and caliber of car and personal attention.

Under normal circumstances, I would have been hesitant to buy a used cars from a small, family owned dealership. However, the customer service that I got from Nathan and Aaron went so far above and beyond what I have gotten from any major dealership, that I was thrilled to purchase from them. I bought a 2006 Volvo XC70 from them and it is in spectacular condition! Very low miles and super clean. However, since the car is almost 10 years old, my husband asked if Nathan would consider changing the timing belt before we purchased it. He not only agreed, he changed it before we drove the car off the lot! Aside from that, they gave us a loaner car to take the kids to a playground while the repairs were being done. They were so kind and accommodating that we felt like we were buying a car from a friend rather than a dealer. My husband and I were talking since the purchase about how awesome our experience was and we both agreed that we will definitely be return customers. I can't leave off without also mentioning the dogs. European Motors has two of the sweetest shop dogs that you will ever meet! I would travel the hour and a half journey just to snuggle those beagles!

I got to know Euro Motors nearly 20 years ago when I bought a VW Jetta for my wife. I got to know Tom Beil and loved his service, honesty and intelligence. Now Nate has the business and it keeps getting better. I purchased cars for myself, my wife and my three sons and have not had a single negative experience. All of our service needs are taken care of quickly and honestly. Nate Beil is one of those rare guys you run into once in awhile who makes you want to bring other service providers to his shop and say, "Look. This is how it's done right!"

I found this dealer thru Cars.com advertising a 2007 Volvo XC70. I was told the car was in great condition and I went to the dealer to check it out and take a test drive. I met with Aaron and he gave me a copy of the carfax and told me he had no other info on the car. I took the car out on a drive and noticed although it drove nice, there was something not quite right. I asked to take the car to my mechanic and they said they could not do that. I asked if we could take it to a dealer and they agreed only they were with the car the whole time. They mentioned they worked with Stadel Volvo and we could take it there. I agreed. When I called back to set up a time, Nate Beil asked me why did I need to take it to a dealer? He was a Volvo Mechanic (Not a Certified Volvo Mechanic,) and he had already checked the car out and it was in great condition. I mentioned I wanted an independent assessment of the car. He stated he would prefer we take the car to Stadel so we could put the cost of the inspection on their account and we could tie everything together. Nate latter said the car was in great shape and did not need anything. On Friday 4.11, we took the car to Stadel for the inspection; This inspection uncovered a list of repairs were needed and 2 of them were major repairs: (List of repairs; LF marker bulb, LR position bulb, tag bulbs, No crank case vacuum (hose or trap) All Wheel drive inoperable. Exhaust leak at turbo, original filter, left rear bumper retainer, fuel door hindge, air box not properly installed, oil trap hose, oil trap, intake gasket, hose clamps, hose, hose, gasket.) If Nate was so good, why did he not find the list of repairs needed to be done? I spoke with Aaron and told him I was still interested in the car, however, the major repairs were deal breakers. I wanted them to have the Turbo and the AWD fixed and I would deal with the minor issues. These were the conditions of me buying the car. Later that afternoon, I spoke with Nate and he told me he would fix the issues with the car and I could pick it up on Monday. I came to the dealer on 4.16.14. Nate and Aaron were onsite and they assured me the repairs were made and gave me a parts list of what they had done. When I went down the list of the work the dealer said needed to be done, they assured me the work was done, even the work I said I would do on my own. I asked them how can I be sure you did the work, I was told, you could see the new parts on the car. I proceeded with the sale and I was told I had a limited 30 day/1000 mile warranty on the car. In addition, they offered me an extended warranty and I had 30 days to exercise it. I drove off in the car and a week later, I noticed the brakes were squealing very loud. I called Nate and he recited the warranty policy and the breaks were not covered. I then took my car into my mechanic on 5.7.14 because I was smelling oil and we found the work Nate said he had done was not performed. The car was leaking oil at the turbo and it was causing oil to burn. My mechanic (a certified Volvo and master Saab technician) made mention the work was written up by the dealer was not done with the exception of the replacement of one hose and bulb replacement. Nothing else was touched. I contacted Nate on 5.8.14 and I informed him of the situation. He first recited the warranty policy, then went on to state he did do the work he said he was going to do. When I mentioned to him the items were not done, he mentioned the dealer info was not accurate and nothing was wrong with the car. He then went on to tell me the certified Volvo mechanic I went to did not know what he was talking about and then he offered to do the repairs, but he would not do them for free. Then he went on to accuse me of trying to extort and cheat him by making up repairs did not exist prior to buying the car and trying to get them fixed for free. He told me there was nothing else to discuss

We had a 2007 XC70 that had been services by Nate at European Motors. Through the services I became very confident in the level of customer service, focus on quality, and "doing the right thing" that Nate exhibited. Nate and I discussed the possibility of upgrading to a newer XC70 so he began to look for one for me. Then my wife and I changed our minds and asked that he also look for XC90's. To make a long story short, Nate was extremely accomodating and ended up finding us a 2008 XC90 that was exactly what we were looking for. He even put new tires on it before delivery. Nate helped us with the financing process and Aaron assisted with tag transfer, making the entire buying experience very easy. The car is in excellent shape and I purchased with a warranty and will always take the car to European for service and repairs. I highly recommend purchasing from Nate - much better experience than any Volvo dealer. We look forward to many more Volvos from Eurpoean Motors in the future. It's not every day you find people so passionate about Volvos - glad we found this place so close to home.

I bought my first Volvo from Nate's father almost 12 years ago and am now on my fourth car with Nate. At this point, I would never go to anyone else. He stands behind the cars he sells, has great prices, repairs them quickly, provides excellent customer service, and is just an all around nice guy. Then there's the extra benefit of visiting with his two beagles Remmington and Maverick while in the shop. He always goes the extra mile if there's an issue with a car. Can't say enough good things about this dealership.

My car buying experience exceeded my expectations. Nate (salesman, mechanic, and owner) was extremely knowledgeable about all of the cars and SUVs on his lot and other Volvos not currently in stock. He was able to answer all my questions about safety, performance and reliability in terms I could understand. You can tell he takes pride in the quality of his cars and his work. We worked on finding the car that best fit my needs and wants while staying within my budget. Once I found one He guided me through the process of getting a loan through a third party with patience and understanding. Since buying I've been back for services and the level of service and quality work has been consistently great. I feel as though he's not just selling you but instead building a long term relationship with mutual benefit.

I recently purchased a 2009 XC 90 from European Motors Pre-Owned and dealt with Aaron and Nate. My purchase experience was outstanding. They had the car in perfect condition for my delivery and even waxed the car and installed floor mats, which was not part of our deal. I have taken the car back to them for service and Aaron even dropped me off at work so I would not have to catch a ride. My service bills have been fair and my car has been done on time each time I took it there. Their facility is very professional and I hope to continue doing business with them.

This is my second Volvo from Eurpean Motors. This time I bought an S60. The first one I bought half a year ago from them (an 2005 XC90), is holding up great. No problems! The S60 is a great ride. What a reliable vehicle. It's really hard to find a used car dealer that will sell you a great car these days, especially around Berks county. It's nice to have these guys around doing business. These guys don't pressure the customer to buy. They stand behind their product all the way, because they find great used Volvos. I'm already recommending them to friends. You can trust these guys. I do. Nate and Aaron were a pleasure to work with. Thanks guys. Volvo for life!

I bought my 850 from European Motors over four years ago now and have never been happier with a used car. Since buying the car I will now only take it to them for service also, and thats saying something because they are almost an hour drive from my home. I am that girl that when I walk into a garage and they see $$$ signs, but not European Motors. Many times now they have actually saved me a lot of money. The first time was about 5 months after buying the car my ABS and TRAC lights came on, and even though my warranty was up 2 months prior they fixed it for free. The next time was a year aftering buying the car I put it in for it's tune up and asked them to change the timing belt just because I was unaware of when it was done. They were honest and told me it was done before I bought the car and didn't need done for another 75,000 miles. The year after that I went to have new tires put on the car only to be told by the tire place that I needed $3,000 worth of work to the front end of the car, so I took it out to the guys at European Motors only to be sent home with a clean bill of health without spending a penny and still have yet to replace those parts on the car. It's so nice to finally have a honest dependable garage to service my car. Plus I love the fact that they know these cars so well most times when I call and explain over the phone whats going on with the car they know what it is without even looking at it. I also love the same day service, this is the only garage I have ever gone to that I can drop the car of in the morning and no matter what was wrong with it they have had it finished the same day. In 7 years when my son turns 16 and I hand the 850 down to him, I will only return to European Motors to buy my XC 90. I tease my son all the time about how cool he will look driving the Volvo wagon, but i am so confindent in European Motors sales and service I know the 850 will still be running strong then.

I just recently purchased my second Volvo from European Motors. Nathan and the rest of the crew are top notch and trustworthy. The XC90 was exactly as promised and is running great. Even after noticing that the remote control to the rear DVD was missing they ordered me a brand new one immediately with no charge. Buy with confidence there and then bring your car to get serviced. They have saved me hundreds of dollars over the years from repair shops that have said I needed work when it wasn't necessarily the case.

I just completed the purchase of a 2005 Volvo S40si from European Motors in Reading, PA. This is the third pre-owned Volvo our family has purchased from this small family dealership and our previous two purchases (a 2001 s40 and a 2002 s60) continue to serve us well. It has been a pleasure dealing with owner Nate Beil, and his "right-hand man" Aaron, with our purchases and our vehicle service. They are always friendly and professional. With Nate and European Motors you get both quality and a fair price. I would definitely recommend a Volvo and European Motors to anyone looking for a good, solid pre-owned car or SUV. These guys really do care about our happiness as customers.

My wife and I needed a newer reliable vehicle. I wanted an Suv. I looked at used BMW X5's and really liked them, but the price was a little to high for me comparatively to the XC90. I also looked at some of the Asian suv's as well. The others were nice but didnt offer as much as hese guys did with this '05 XC90. For an suv that has one of the highest safety ratings and doesn't lack in luxuriousness, the price was right. Nate and Aaron were very friendly and professional the whole way through. They let me test drive the vehicle on 3 seperate occasions, and look it over very carefully. Let me just say something. These guys are very picky about selling very nice used vehicles, just go check out their lot and you'll see. Their shop was also extremely clean. I thought I was at a new car dealership! No hassle. I never felt pressured to buy this Vovlo. This was just overall a wonderful car buying experience. Thanks Nate & Aaron for the great deal!

Bought my first Volvo here, Nate finds quality cars that haven't been ravaged by their previous owners. From the test drive, to the buying process, they were extremely helpful and honest. Usually when buying a premium car such as a Volvo, the car sells itself, but Nate and his staff professionally covered all the features. Completely recommend. I stopped in just to look, ended up buying a car.

We just bought our 3rd Volvo from European Motors, this one a blue XC90. The other two, both 1998 S70's are running great and we gave them to our college-aged children. If you want a no-nonsense deal on a good, clean dependable Volvo, this is the place to go. They know the cars inside and out and are good, honest, reputable dealers. And oh yeah, we had another Volvo S70 that we got elsewhere--lots of problems but got them fixed here!
