I brought my car in for A/C and an engine light on Thursday April 7th. I was charged $300+ for diagnosis. I was informed the a/c compressor "was broken leaking a ton and that is what the smell is in the engine" and that to fix would be approx $900+, and "we don't have the part, will have to order". I was told I had a fuel line leak and that was the cause of engine light. Again approx $800+ to fix, and "we don't have part, will have to order".So, I inquired what about the coolant leak, could't that be a cause of engine light and the sweet smell from the engine? Was informed that there was no coolant leak, it is the fuel line causing the engine light and that the smell is the freon. I inquired about a freon smell, I thought freon had no smell. I also stated that I do not ever smell anything IN the car. I asked if I have air post my inspection/diagnosis, the girl didn't know so she said to answer all my questions, she will get mechanic. He said that currently there is air, but that I need to replace compressor in A/C. I asked if I may instead have a slow leak and that could possibly be fixed with that product that is put into the a/c and fills small holes, and was informed that question could not be answered. I also asked how I have air if compressor isn't working? No answer. I asked what am I being charged so much for the visit, and how much freon needed to be replaced. I was informed, " you are being charged for a diagnosis/exchange/charge and we don't know how much freon was in your car, he didn't tell me".I was not to leave until I signed their paperwork and made payment for >$300. So I paid, signed that I was unhappy and felt screwed. I do at least have air, and still have air 24 hours later in the car.I immediately took my car to a trusted mechanic in Dunedin, told him my experience and asked if he could take a look. As soon as he popped the hood, he told me, "you have a coolant leak, it is obvious, there is barely fluid in the coolant tank! Take a look yourself!" I did, and sure enough, barely any fluid in the tank. Cost me $160 to fix. I did not have the smell on the engine driving my car today. This experience has made me feel that the dealerships can not be trusted with service. I was also lightly approached by a salesman (while sitting in waiting area) who informed me the "New Pacificas are coming out soon". $300+ is a lot of money for a diagnosis. And then to take the car immediately to someone else that actually fixed a problem that I was told isn't the problem and for less, it maddening! After looking at your dealership site, I am surprised to see the service manager picture is the woman that was sitting next to the girl who was speaking with me. She never opted to help out or take over the conversation. The girl was as pleasant as could be, I was obviously not happy, which would be the job of the Manager/Jami to take on this conversation. Very disappointed.

Patrick, Mindy, and Bo were fantastic.. I had been to several competing dealerships earlier in the day and dealt with the normal runaround you expect when buying a new car. Fitzgerald Jeep is a completely different story. No hard sell. Just honest, knowledgeable, professional human beings who are there to answer your questions and assist with making an informed decision. This is all because they do not work off of commission. What a novel idea! Patrick was extremely knowledgeable and walked me through every step of the way. Mindy then assisted with financing options that were available. Last but certainly not least, Bo assisted with finalizing all of the details. His only interest was to make sure I understood every option I had available before signing on the dotted line. I can't wait until my first service appointment so I can spend more time with everyone at Fitzgerald Jeep!!!

I had an AWESOME EXPERIENCE at Fitzgerald Jeep! Patrick , Mindy and Bo were the most professional and friendly sales personnel I have ever worked with. I was treated so nicely and I can't wait to go back and buy another vehicle from them for my daughter. There was no haggling and/or pressure of buying my NEW 2015 JEEP WRANGLER SPORT! I would recommend this dealership to everyone I know and to anyone who is looking for an exceptionally buying experience! They get 2 thumbs up from my entire family!

I actually contacted Dane Stuart from NY to arrange to purchase a new vehicle when I relocated to the Tampa area. This probably wasnt the easiest sale Dane ever had, but he was awesome. He went above and beyond for me and found exactly what I wanted! This was the best experience I have ever had purchasing a vehicle. Everyone Ive met at this dealership has been friendly and helpful. We actually just purchased a second Jeep from Dane because of our great experience. I would highly recommend this dealership, and I absolutely recommend Dane!!! Out of 5 stars, I would rate this dealership a 10!!!

I bought my first car here and it was great, Boe was very understanding and real and I got my dream car that I always wanted, it was the perfect color and the interior was amazing, I had to have it, although the waiting was very long at some points you had a great staff that was able to keep good conversations that made the time go by fast and made us feel comfortable, I would say this was a way better experience then any I have had with purchasing cars.

BEWARE!! Their web sites of used vehicles are confusing, so when Fitz Jeep said there were no problems of getting a truck from their dealer up the street was a LIE, I was delayed of even getting "friends & family" pricing while letting other vehicles passed me by. Then was told that the manager up the street did not want to let the truck go for that price!! That there were only 5 trucks in the county?! Used trucks?! ANOTHER nice lie! They wanted me to pay retail for theirs & give me wholesale price for my trade. By the way ALL of this was done to me by TEXT! Really professional! I'm sure the GM Bob Smith would love to know that! Watch yourself here friends!

I have been going back and forth on buying a new car for several months. Mine technically still runs, but at 16 years of age...it gets a little touch and go. I had narrowed it down to the Jeep Grand Cherokee (Altitude) and the Toyota 4-Runner Premium. Both very nice rides but with differences. In December, I was really getting into the final decision and new I would be making a selection within a month. I will leave the bad experiences at the bottom for whomever wants to read, but those (and there were a few others), is why I was so pleasantly surprised with my experience at Fitzgerald. After my bad Toyota experience (see below) I was almost about to give up on the idea of a new car and just limp along in my current car. I decided to go online and see the Jeeps that were nearbyand I was pleasantly surprised to see Fitzgeralds had the exact vehicle I wanted. When I arrived, I had my armour up ready for the sales dragons, but Curt came up and greeted me with a nice laid back approach. We went for a test drive and again, it was nice easy conversation about the vehicle, the holidays, what I was looking for in a car, etc. Just conversation, not a laundry list of why it is the best ever and I need to buy it. We came back to the showroom and started the process answered more of my questions and it was all so smooth and easy. One of the managers Alvin was keeping me updated as to what was going on in the process, so I wasn't just left to wonder. Curt had to step out so I was transitioned to Dane came in. I say transitioned, becasue that is what it was...not a hand-off. Curt introduced me to Dane, and explained why he had to leave. Alvin came over and made sure I was aware of the transition and why there needed to be a change. Dane was great on the final walkthrough of the vehicle, answering my questions along the way with all the fun technical thingies not present in cars 16 years ago. Then of course when it came to the final financial paperwork, Bo was awesome. He stepped me through all the options, provide recommendations with a nice attitude of they are recommendations and you can take 'em or leave 'em...because it is your decision. Again there was no hard sell of "ohhh you have to buy this expensive warranty" it was an open frank conversation letting me know my options, how it impacted the price. I felt informed to make the best decision for me.This is the first new car I have ever purchased, and aside from balloons not falling from the ceiling and a band playing me off the lot, it was the best car experience I have ever had!! I would recommend this place to anyone looking to buy a Jeep!!!Just a few bad experiences prior to Fitzgerald which is why I was sooo pleasantly surprised. There was an Altitude version I liked at a dealer in Tampa, but my repeated comments of "I am not buying a car today...but am planning to in the next month" didn't seem to stick. Not only did he keep pressing about how he could change my mind, he actually brought someone else over to talk to me and I overheard him say "I've done everything I can to get her to buy today, perhaps you can change her mind". At that point I was pretty much done. The next closest place who had the vehicle I wanted was in Ft Myers (I just didnt like it that much), so was leaning toward the 4-Runner since I knew someone who recently bought one, so I was going in as a referral. Long story short the guy wasnt there when I showed up (had to drive approx 45min to get there), was about 20min before someone came to help me, kept trying to get me to buy telling me "everyone says they're not buying today...but they do", then trying to get me to agree on a price - which ended up being on the base model and not the Premium...the response I got "not sure how that happened ...but here's the new price (up about 43k) and have you decided on a colour." I called to speak to the man I was referred to. I left a voice mail and I am still waiting to hear back.

Purchased a Jeep Wrangler today. My salesperson was Dane. He took the time to listen to what I was looking for in a Jeep and immediately knew which ones on the lot would work for me. He answered a ton of questions and didn't seem to mind when I dragged him out on THREE test drives!!! This was my first new car and I wanted to feel confident about this purchase. I was having trouble deciding on which Jeep to buy and Dane instinctively knew when to give me a few moments of quiet to gather my thoughts. He was perfect. Soon after, I was introduced to Bo to finalize my purchase. Bo was great and took the time to explain each document as I signed it. He also was patient because I insisted on reading all of the fine print. Overall I am very happy with my experience at Fitzgerald- I found exactly what I wanted for a great price from great people with no hassles. D. Renner

I live in NY and have a home in Florida. In January 2013, I decided to trade in my 2002 Corvette for a new Chrysler 300C. Shawn Cameron was my sales person and I couldn't ask for a better transaction with my trade and purchase. This gentleman went above and beyond his efforts to make my purchase a great experience. He even assisted in prepping my car for delivery. He should be commended for his professional attitude and customer satisfaction. This is why I give this rating. Would I recommend Fitzgerald's? Without question I would. In addition, the service department is great as well. Jamie Berger was excellent.George Zammit

My new wife and I had been contemplating the purchase of a new vehicle for a few months; and by nature, I am very difficult to please when it comes to buying a car. This is because most car sales people (from my past experiences) do not actively listen to a customer's needs. For some reason, they will do "everything it takes" to get more money (for themselves). No one seems to be into relationship building (call me old-fashioned). I must admit, although I had a fairly good vibe from perusing the website, I still kept my guard up. My wife and I arrived at the store, were both welcomed by Joyce; and she did the single-most important thing anyone in sales would dare emulate - pay attention (go figure). She was so sincerely attentive that I almost forgot we were in a car dealership. Before long, we were introduced to Bo. All I have to say is, I can smell BS from a barn in the next county, and there was now sign of cattle in the showroom. He took over the reigns and proceeded to do the unthinkable - listen AND deliver. My wife and I already had a certain figure in mind for our budget. Though our monthly payments were topped out, we couldn't be happier with the interest rate for our financing - a whopping 1.9%! I must add, both Joyce and Bo stayed well beyond the regular business hours on a Saturday (who does that?) just so we could drive home in our brand-new 2014 Chrysler 300! Impressed doesn't begin to define our opinion of the staff - period. I somehow believe that our experience would have been similar, were we assisted by any other associate. Thank you Joyce & Bo ..we'll be back!Evans & Shana Harrington

I came to this dealership a few months back in hopes of determining what vehicle I wanted to eliminate off my list of choices I had set for myself and my family. While browsing outside, a very nice Salesperson named Joyce helped me. She spent most of the day helping me decide what I was looking for. I had a wish list of color, trim and manual transmission on my list and didn't find exactly what I was looking for. She did find my jeep, but it was at another dealership 150 miles away and would not negotiate a dealer trade with them. I had to purchase my jeep from another dealer to get what I wanted. :( I wanted her to get the commission since she spent so much time helping along the way. So, now it's time for my first oil change and wanted to return the favor of her time to the service department. I am also having a small issue with the transmission and wanted it checked out since it's under warranty. From the minute I walked in, the environment did not feel friendly. I was passed on to the "service manager" from one of the other service advisors due to the technicality of my warranty issue. He told me that I would have to leave my only vehicle with him for 3-5 days so they could "diagnose" my problem and during that time he would be happy to get me a rental at $35 dollars a day. I have NEVER had to get a rental while my vehicle was under warranty, usually there were arrangements like shuttle service or a loaner that would have been negotiated to help me. He proceeded to tell me that no dealership offers "loaners" ever. I told him: "Not to be rude, but you are incredibly uninformed". That's when the patronizing got even worse. Just because I am a woman does not mean I don't know anything about cars or dealerships. My husband used to work for a jeep dealership and I have had some schooling in automotive technologies. Now really?! So after him treating me horribly, I made the decision to not ever do business with them and proceeded to walk out the door and on the way out, Doug Wilder had the audacity to say, "It's been my pleasure!" His pleasure what, treating me total disrespect and patronizing me the whole time?! It took every ounce of self control to not turn around. If this is how you treat clients that are trying to bring you business, you have no business being in business. I do intend to follow up with the store manager who conveniently is out of town for another 6 days and the assistant manager is off today as well. Is there any managers there making sure the place is falling apart?!.........

I have bought 1 new and 2 used cars from Fitzgerald, I would recommend them to everyone. From start to finish, the buying process is the easiest and fastest I have experienced from the 10+ cars I have bought over the last 15 years. The service department is top notch, the service writers are really knowledgeable and the technicians care for your car as if it was there own. Definitely worth the drive to work with a dealer who cares about more than just making a profit, they have made me part of their family and I will be a customer of theirs for life.

Most horrible experience ever! If I could give 0 stars I would.Brought my vehicle in to be serviced for problems with the A/C. I was told the evaporator needed to be replaced, 7 days later I was finally able to pick up my truck(after being told 2 days). My A/C was now blowing nice and cold seemed as though the problem had been fixed. Two days later my passenger side floor board was soaking wet- we are talking a puddle of water. My boyfriend got most of the water out with a shopvac and I brought it back in on a Monday morning. They told me they were sorry they would try to fix the problem and I would get a call. They gave me a 2nd rental car for during this process as well. As it ended up that they never replaced the seal for the evaporator housing. I got the truck back with the plastic they put on the seats and the paper that goes on the floor board stuffed under my seat and it was filthy. Plus the carpeting of the floor was still wet. So at this time I called to speak with the Manager of the Service department, Eric Coffee. He apologized and told me a tech had died over memorial day weekend and a different tech had to put my truck back together so he was not surprised to see my truck back there a few days later! I felt guilty even complaining at this point! He offered to have my truck executive detailed for free for the inconvenience. So again I dropped my truck off explained that my floor boards were still wet they said they would figure it out and give me a call as soon as they know anything. I was given a 3rd rental car from the dealership. Let me add that all three rental cars were filthy. Bird poop all over the outside of 2 of them, band-aid wrappers in the pocket of the door of one of the cars, dirty paper towels, taco bell hot sauce wrappers on the floor, sand, dirt, grass, you name it all over the floor boards of all 3 vehicles. The first car had a bubble in the tire once you got over 20 mph felt like it was going to blow out, the second rental car seemed to have a transmission problem hesitated and almost stalled out, and the 3rd car the service engine light was on when they drove the car up for me to drive away in! I waited in the rain while they reset it so I felt safe driving away in it(supposedly the gas cap was not tight, they never even opened the gas door but just reset the light). After waiting all day for the phone call that my vehicle was done, I called them. I was told they found the leak it was the drain pan, they fixed it, and now it is being detailed.... one more day and it should be done. I got the phone call to pick up my vehicle. Went to the dealership and I was so disappointed. The vehicle was no better than half way clean. Not near an executive detail that they claimed on the service sheet. There was dirt in the door jamb, dirt and dog hair still in the pockets of the door, they removed the spare tire and put it in wrong. The whole back part of the truck was not put back together and rattled as I drove away. Why they even touched the spare is beyond me the back of the SUV was not even wiped down. I brought all of this to Eric's attention (I was told he detailed it himself) He said it was a complimentary detail what do you expect? I can have it re-done on Monday if you would like. I however am done bringing my vehicle in to pick it up with new problems that never existed before. BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE, HORRIBLE ATTENTION TO DETAIL, HORRIBLE RENTAL VEHICLE SERVICE. DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE IN TO THIS DEALERSHIP!!

Purchased a used 2007 Town and Country from Fitzgerald Auto Mall. I live in Cape Coral and was able to work out the details over the phone and internet. When I arrived in Clearwater, everything was as promised and the sales and paperwork process were the best I have ever seen. Our salesman Steve Goodman was excellent and had prompt follow-up. Bo Morgan was tremendous with the financing, a true pleasure to speak with and get to know. We arrived late in the day and were out the door before 9pm. The folks at Chrysler need to know that I am 900 miles into my new 300 and am averaging an AMAZING 25.2 mpg. I HAVE NOT taken this car on the highway yet, this is in local, back and forth to work and hockey games driving. Im amazed. Im certain some of it has to do with our flat terrain here in Florida, but you guys need to get this word out with gas prices going up. If you and Jim want to use this as a testimonial, you have my permission to do so. And let the folks at Chrysler Corporate know what a GREAT engine and vehicle this is.

We had an excellent experience purchasing our 2012 Chrysler Town & Country. Having just had a baby, our 3rd child, we needed a van... and we needed one fast! I shopped around on-line and found some really great prices at Fitzgerald's in Countryside. I called and spoke with Carl Anderson and informed him of my situation and my needs. I didn't have a lot of time to spend at the dealership so Carl had everything lined up for me to see when I arrived. I made my selection, we worked out the numbers, and we were to make our decision on which vehicle suited us, and our budget, fast. A couple days later, my husband and I had to bring along our 2 toddlers and our new baby to sign all of the paperwork. I warned Carl that it could become very ugly if it wasn't fast. Lol! Carl and the business manager had everything printed and ready to be signed upon our arrival. This was the easiest and most convenient experience I have ever had while purchasing a new vehicle! We received outstanding service across the board from everyone we worked with... even the finance guy! We will certainly purchase all of our vehicles from Fitzgerald's from now on and we will always recommend them to our family and friends! Thank you, Fitzgerald's, for a stress-free and friendly experience!

The overall experience I had with these guys from the first call to me from Fred in response to their internet ad all the way through the final sign-offs on the sale was great. There was NO pressure whatsoever, no persistent questioning of dollar amounts for things (like I have experienced in other dealerships). There was a lot of information given to me about the vehicle as well as the processes of what would go on for the sale to go through. There was a lot of work done on Howard and Bo's parts to be able to get the vehicle to me at the financing that worked for me. The maintenance program they have will be well worth it over the time I will own my vehicle.Great people to do business with and I highly recommend everyone to give them a try.

This dealership was excellent to work with, especially via the internet. My salesman, Nick Rine, promptly answered my email questions, including the taking of several pictures and sending them in email format. Mr. Rine was polite, professional, and did business the "old fashion way"....no pressure...no gimicks. I believe I got a good sales price on my new Chrysler 300, and a fair market value for my trade-in. This transaction was the easiest new car purchase I have ever made. I had to drive two hours to get to this dealership, but I have no regrets and would do it again. Highly recommended for anyone in the Tampa Bay area or anywhere in the state of Florida.

I bought my car a couple of years ago, a Neon, from Fitzgeralds and I was treated great! I have also sent many of my family members there to buy cars from both dealerships in Clearwater (Hyundai dealership also) Not only did I buy cars from them but I also worked for them for a while and saw customers treated like family. Especially by Carl Anderson, Mike Treen, and the Sales and Finance Managers.I have worked at other car dealerships in the area and would STILL recommend the sales department at Fitzgeralds. Since I have seen both sides of the car buying experience, I have seen a major difference in the way customers are treated and Fitzgerald doesn't have the "high pressure" salesmen that I see at other dealerships. They don't follow you around the lot if you are "just looking" and don't hassle you when you are just waiting for your car to be done in the service department..like some other dealerships do.I would gladly recommend them to anyone who wants to buy a car or Jeep!

What’s more, Fitzgerald's Countryside Chrysler Jeep of Clearwater has been on the market for a very long time and remains the preferred dealership for buyers looking for used cars and trucks for sale. From low mileage used cars to cheapest used cars, there is something for you from Fitzgerald's Countryside Chrysler Jeep. Check out the listings today to find the right car for yourself. Fitzgerald's Countryside Chrysler Jeep is definitely the best place to buy used cars online.
