In my search for a car for my family, I ran across many salesmen that were pushy or didn't care enough to see why I hadn't called back. Peter was the opposite in every aspect. He was not pushy, knew the information about the car, and understood that my family had a budget. He was very upfront with information and knew that my family and their safety came first. Mark was very friendly from the first time we met him. My parents and daughter helped accompany me in finding a car. And Don was great at explaining what he could do for us and it made me feel like at home. Worked with Ryan Spence and he took great care in making sure we knew what our options were. Pete Vangarderen was very knowledgeable with the truck I was looking for, as well as other vehicles. We went for a few test drives to try out the different models which made the decision tough because they were all great. I then went to finance and sat with Alesia Durr. Came in to see what used cars were available and met Brent Poling who showed me several possibilities based on the criteria I had. Test drove one that seemed to "pop out" from the others and decided to buy. He was personable, knowledgeable and made the usual complicated process of trade in and the transfer process of plates and notifying the insurance company go smoothly. It was a pleasure to work with him. Blake Dunn finished up the final details of the transaction and did it smoothly and in a very friendly way-and this was greatly appreciated.

This is my first visit and interaction with this dealership, having come to Charleston after buying many cars are at an auto dealership in Iowa. I introduced myself to the sales manager {Robert Lukens} who was very attentive and subsequently introduced me to Matthew Lawrence who was my primary contact at the dealership. After explaining my requirements Matt looked and found what proved to be an ideal purchase for me, a 2015 Avalon. Although he could have easily tried to talk me into a newer model thus getting a better commission for himself, in fact he showed me why this particular car at a significantly reduced price would serve my needs better. The deal was negotiated extremely fairly, and Matt was extremely helpful in facilitating my requirements along with the reasonable needs of the dealership to make a profit. After the deal was made, Matthew was extremely helpful in showing me all the details of my newer car, and even after the sale I was able to contact him repeatedly to help me work through some of the technical details of the car. When he found out that there would be an upgrade to my navigation system coming in a few months he volunteered to have this updated for me at no extra charge. I have no hesitation in recommending Fred Anderson Toyota as a dealership and Matthew Lawrence as a terrific sales person within this dealership.

I had a 2000 Toyota Tundra, 16 years, and it still ran great but saw the new Tundras and wanted a new one. I saw what Fred Anderson Toyota offered and decided to check out their Tundras. We looked around the lot and Ryan Spence came out to greet us. We looked and used and new Tundras but I just wasn't sure what I wanted. Ryan never pressured us and was very professional. I had a very good experience buying my new Highlander. I felt that I was treated fairly and was given a good price. What I did not like was that after I made the deal I went to finance where I went through an extensive warranty pitch that could have added another $2,000 plus to the vehicle! There were so many variations it became too confusing I finally just said the heck with it and opted for a five year 60,000 because it was a concept I was familiar with. I'm not blaming the guy in finance I just think that between the Fred Anderson plan and the Toyota warranty program it makes your head spin especially after the stress of buying a car and hoping that you made the best deal. One other thing. There are so many gadgets and settings etc to be done on these new cars I think it would be nice if they had a small training class generally explaining basics like the audio, the different controls rather than sitting in your driveway for two days figuring everything out. I found a lot of good input by going on you tube. The salesmen should probably know more about how these things work too they seem like they're guessing most of the time too. Maybe y'all should create a Toyota hotline for new owners--kinda like the Turkey hotline they have at Thanksgiving LOL!

Matthew Laurence and I spoke about a week and a half ago about my GMC sierra. He was very nice and on a busy Labor day weekend he did a great job about getting me a offer within 25 minutes. I walked away on that day not willing to surrender the truck for that price. He said thank you for your time and if there is anything that comes up I will call you. Fast forward about a week later I get a call from Victoria and she patches me through to Matthew and he says he can offer me 25000 for my truck. I said that was great and he explained the red truck I wanted they sold and would I be interested in another truck they just got today which was called Inferno in color. I asked about other trucks and colors he made sure it had everything the last truck had and that he did all my pre paper work. I said sure I will come Saturday. I arrived Saturday Morning at 9 am and he was ready I called him the day prior and told him I filled out the credit application on the computer he said great. I was met with the keys in hand and the truck pulled up to the side ready for the test drive. He knew I had to be in and out as i explained to him about what i needed to do on Friday he was very understanding and excellent in that response. We came back from the ride and did all the signing of the paper work took about 30 minutes or so. He then said I will take care of the other stuff in your old truck and I appreciated that. We were met by Mr.Utnick he talked us through what we were looking for and what he could offer us. he was quick and very specfic about what we could get. He was able to take care of us in the warranty department on top of what we already had. Matthew Laurence also said if i ever need anything service or otherwise please call him and never hesitate if we had any questions after the fact.I will recommend the dealership to all my friends. Matthew has earned my business for life. I want to thank Bill for the quick and easy service and the great rate we received due to his knowledge and skills.

He worked day and night for 2 days trying to look at every option out there for me, and what do you know he found the perfect car for me, and within my budget. We came back to Toyota for a new vehicle after having owned an Avalon for a very long time. We were considering the Highlander against the Honda Pilot and a few domestic SUVs, and stopped in to Fred Anderson and were lucky enough to get Regina! What a jewel of a representative for Toyota! She showed us the Highlander, could explain all the features off the top of her head, and had such a great personality, that she actually made the experience enjoyable. And I say that because my typical experience when buying a new car has been a sales person who is hovering over me the second I arrive, gives me the "what do we have to do to get you in this car today?" speech, and immediately puts me in a bad mood. Buying a car should be a fun experience, but because we've had so many of the stereotypical sales experiences, I honestly expected to be aggravated within 10 minutes of looking at the cars--Regina was the FIRST sales person we've ever dealt with who did NONE of those irritating things. She was such a joy to work with, and never made us feel like we were being smothered or pressured to buy a car that day. She gave us all the information, asked us if we were ready to discuss the pricing, which we did, and then totally understood that we would want to think it over before making a final deal. We can only say positive comments about her, and her customer service follow up was excellent after we took the car home! Thank you so much Regina!

The salesman Brent Poline was very helpful in finding exactly what I wanted and was able to get it in a timely fashion. We were in the market for a new vehicle; specifically, a Toyota RAV4 that I had been admiring from afar. What we didn't know was that we wanted a Hybrid RAV4 Limited. We were shopping for a gas powered vehicle. We had brought our 2006 Avalon in for installation of a faulty dashboard and decided to look around at the new cars with no idea we would drive away with a new car.Jared met us in the "new" section of vehicles, introduced himself and expressed that he was there to assist us any way possible. We asked to drive a gasoline powered RAV4 which we did and were impressed. Jared asked what we wanted out of a vehicle and without being assertive or pushy asked if we were interested in a hybrid - we had never considered a hybrid vehicle. Jared went on to tell us the fine points of owning/driving a hybrid and asked again if we would be interested in driving same. Jared mentioned that he would like for us to experience the complete line of vehicles Toyota offered. We said why not, we didn't want to leave anything to chance. We were quite impressed.Next came color choices (exterior and interior) we would prefer. Fortunately, there was such a vehicle on the lot. After a price was presented to us, it didn't quite meet the amount we were able to spend on a car. A financial manager met with us to see what price would it take for us to be able to afford the vehicle we wanted. I can't say enough about the "short" negotiations that took place to make the transaction affordable for us to purchase our vehicle of choice. There was no wringing of hands or pressure placed on us to purchase. The staff at Fred Anderson Toyota wanted a happy, satisfied customer that would drive off the lot with a new car. Your staff could not have been more helpful, knowledgeable or friendly throughout the day of purchase. Needless to say, we drove a 2016 RAV4 Hybrid Limited off the lot. We were so impressed with Jared's knowledge of the Toyota products that he showed us. His demeanor and salesmanship were impeccable. After talking with us, he knew what we needed before we did - outstanding employee for Fred Anderson Toyota.I apologize for not remembering the young man's name who helped negotiate the final purchase price. We failed to get his business card. He was so instrumental in finding a purchase price we could live with. We are a happy, satisfied customer.

Unfortunately when I got the vehicle home and attempted to drive it after it had sat for a few hours it would not go into gear. John was fantastic in our dealings. I gave him my budget, and he was mindful of that at all times, and I ended up selecting one he showed me which was well below that budget and still a solid vehicle. That was great, but the thing that really made him stand out was this- I'm getting ready to do a short deployment in a month or so, and the wife and I thought we could could get by with one vehicle until then. That turned out to not be the case, so we started shopping. The vehicle John helped us pick out needed some work done before it could be released to us, and I had an important VA appointment I needed to get to before it would be ready. John picked me up at my house, and then again from my appointment. John was fantastic and I'll be considering him and Fred Anderson for my future vehicle needs.

I turned in my 2013 lease on a Corolla and purchased a Scion. After the purchase I received a bill for 512 dollars from the bank for a water stain on the passenger seat and the bank said I could pay 400 dollars or do 3 installments totaling 512 dollars so I put the 400 dollars on my credit card. I contacted the sales person who sold me the Scion, who took my call while on vacation, and was put in contact with another sales person who explained to me that the dealership would have the seat cleaned and that the bank would refund me. The bank said they would not refund me and the sales person worked with me even though I was not his customer and even came in on his day off to try and clear up this misunderstanding between the bank. I also spoke with a sales manager who was very good at keeping me informed with calls back. I have to admit I was rude to the staff and they remained professional despite my attitude and continued to do me this favor which was appreciated.

We are really glad we decided to stop. Our salesmen John Inman was actually supposed to be leaving for the day but showed us all of the 4 runners that met our criteria. He never made us feel like we were wasting his time even though he knew we were from NC and it was 7:30 pm on a Friday night. John found a vehicle that had just arrived and took the information for our trade. Don Hesher valued our trade and was very transparent concerning the value of our trade and the discount offered on the new vehicle. John and Don stayed until 9:30 pm to put this deal together. We came back the next day after the service department added window tint and running boards to wrap up the paper work. Christen was very efficient and a joy to work with. Great overall experience. Will definitely do business with them in the future.

Brent really took care of me during my first experience of buying a car! His knowledge and professionalism made this whole process enjoyable and not intimidating. He laid out all of the options with me and was willing to work with my financial status while competing with other dealerships. Even when the car I wanted was hit by a golf ball (what are the odds) during my test drive, Brent fixed it and gave me a better price on the car before final papers were signed. This was far and away the best car buying experience my wife and I have ever had, and were over 70 years old. We asked for and received a quote over the Internet; Lauren responded quickly with an unbelievable price (I know, because Im an engineer and I research EVERYTHING thoroughly). Even though the dealership is an 80-mile trip, we went there the next day and werent disappointed. Mark showed us the exact 2017 Camry LE we wanted, took us on a test drive, handled the registration and trade-in, transferred the insurance, and answered our questions, making it a fun experience for us. Next, Kristen cheerfully filled out the paperwork and answered additional questions. Im an extremely demanding person, and I dont hesitate to complain, so I also make it a point, on rare occasions when its warranted, to praise. This is one of those rare occasions! All Fred Anderson people were knowledgeable, professional but very likeable, and gave us the best deal with no hidden agenda or charges. We trust them, which is the highest recommendation we can give. It was a happy place. The other dealerships we visited (Toyota and others) didnt come close to matching the caring and pricing at Fred Andersons.

My mother and I came in Saturday 7/30/16 in search of a new vehicle for me. My brother Ryan Moose referred me to Ryan Spence and I couldn't be more happy that he did! Ryan S. was wonderful from the get-go. We arrived at the dealership around 11:45 AM. Almost as soon as walking through the door he greeted us and let us know that my brother had already told him we were coming. We started out by driving the Toyota Corolla L, which was great, but he let us know that the LE had more bells and whistles and that he could work with us on price to get me to the payments I wanted. After driving the Corolla L we decided we wanted to test drive the Scion IM. Great car as well, but since the car was only available in black we decided to pass on that one. After some test driving we then started working the numbers. I couldn't be more happy with how he was able to keep me at my monthly budget. Every experience I have had with other dealerships they have always tried to haggle me and sell me add on's which I make sure to let the seller know I am not interested. I felt like Ryan listened to exactly what I wanted in a car whether it was style, color, price range, etc. He was very informative of everything we looked at, and did not seem to sell us on lies which is what we have dealt with before from other dealerships. I am now a life-long happy customer of Fred Anderson Toyota and you can thank Ryan Spence for that!!!

My wife and I walked into the dealership with very little idea what we wanted. Taylor helped us for the better part of 6 hours. He was professional, knowledgable, and fun to work with. We test drove a bunch of cars and he laid out my financial options for each one. Eddie walked us through all the legal/financial portion. He was also friendly & intelligent. He efficiently explained what each document meant and got us on our way. Our car wasn't supposed to come in for the better part of a week - so we needed a loaner car. Andy was the service manager who quickly got us a great Camry. The service department was another professional and efficient experience.Overall really good experience. Customer service was excellent all around. I paid a little more than I wanted to for my 2016 Rav4 - but I really like it.

I purchased a new 2016 $ Runner from the Charleston Dealership for my daughter who's Volvo XC-90 was totaled in an accident. This is the 1st time I have purchased a Toyota. In the last 1 1/2 I have bought a new Dodge 3500, Audi Convert. and a F-150 (loaded). Never in my life have I had so much of an issue with the backside of a dealership. Salesman was Great and I understand he is just doing what is asked of him, I have gotten at least 6-8 calls or text messages wanting proof of insurance. In the state of SC we are covered under our existing policy for 30 days. I gave them a current copy of my policies showing them I am covered on the vehicle if something should happen. I guess this is not good enough for them as they say it is "their company policy" that it needs to be done right away. The general manager even called to harass me over this. Love the car but would NEVER buy another car from this dealership nor would I recommend them to anyone.

I was originally suppose to look at a 2016 Camry, but my sales guy found a better deal. It was 2015 Camry with only 23,000 miles on it and it was in perfect condition. I did a test ride and I loved it. I was very skeptical when I first came in. I assumed I was going to be pushed into a car I didn't want, but that wasn't the case at all. I was impressed with the very prompt response to my online inquiry. The person I talked to did not know all the answers, but carefully noted the items to get back to me. The next day when I went into the dealership they had narrowed down a selection of cars based on what I had wanted, and the selection was so much simpler from there. The paperwork was laborious, but I don't think they can solve that problem! And the attention to my request for a trailer hitch was scheduled within days. Plus I love my new Highlander.

Both Steve Darling and Don Hesher provided excellent information when I was initially researching an SUV purchase. I looked into 5 dealerships and 3 different vehicle makes and dealt with the full range of salespeople and sales managers from very pleasant to very pushy high-pressure types over a month or so of inquiries. Steve Darling did an excellent job of answering questions concerning the various Toyota SUVs and what was available and what was coming in. The clincher however was the final price on a Highlander XLE that Don Hesher generated along with an upgraded value on my trade-in. I have acquaintances that have Fred Anderson Toyotas and they use the service department and have been quite pleased with it so I am looking forward to the same experience.

She didn't try to sell me something I didn't want or need, she assisted me in getting me what I wanted which is exactly what a sales associate should do. She even delivered the truck to my house in Summerville since I am not magical enough to drive to cars at once, cursed science.... This was my first time buying a car from a dealership and Matt Laurence could not have been more helpful with everything he did. Not only did he stay well after they had closed to make sure I was completely taken care of but he also cooridnated almost every part of the sale over the phone with myself and my mother who was co-signing becasue we live out of town. Matt is a top notch salesman but more importantly a top notch guy because of how genuine he is with the customer as well as every part of the car he is selling. I bought my car from them used. It was less than a year old. After about six months the power locks on my door stopped working. I was told it would cost me almost $600 to fix it. My car isn't even two years old and I have a $600 repair on it. You can imagine I was pretty upset about it. After hearing that news I was told they charged me for a tire rotation when I repeatedly told them I just got new tires and I didn't need it. The woman at the desk was very nice and helpful so I'm thankful to her. The car I received has so many problems and Fred Anderson is less than willing to fix them. I've seriously considered selling my car even if I'm upside down on it just to get away from this horrible dealership. Every time I try to contact the manager it goes to voicemail and he has yet to answer my phone calls.

I really wasn't sure on which car I wanted to get. I had been looking for weeks contemplating on what vehicle and where from. I spent countless hours and many late nights searching the Internet for the perfect fit for me and my family. Then one day, I remembered that I liked the way those new Kia Optimas looked like. So, like anyone else, I immediately typed in "Kia Optimas for sale in Charleston, SC". The first dealer that came up was this incredible dealership named, "Fred Anderson Toyota of Charleston". So I figured, "why not? I've already searched plenty enough, I mind as well give it a look". As I was scrolling through the multiple vehicles I filtered out, one in particular happen to peak my interest. I knew I wanted leather seats with all power everything, but xxxx, this car had all the bells and whistles with very low miles. All I did was click a button next to it, type in a 30 second form, and I was contacted by the friendly internet sales team. (Big shout out to Victoria on that team by the way for getting me in there) Anyways, I came in the next day for my scheduled appointment and they already had the car in perfect condition with my name on it like it was already mine. As I entered the door, plenty of the staff held the door open for my family and I and offered us water, which tasted great by the way! We were then introduced to a lovely, young lady named Christen. Now let me tell you, she is definitely a jewel around there and looked incredibly professional. Though all of your staff had a professional look, as I looked around at the other sales representatives in there, she definitely had the most energy, personality, persistence, speed, and seemed more ambitious than the others. (Just my opinion) Now on with the story! As Christen approached us, she had everything ready for us. She showed us the car, which was way more incredible in person than I had ever imagined it would have been! We then took that baby for a test drive! Man, she sure did feel awesome and she drove really well! When I say "she", I mean the car. Every car is a "she", right? Haha. As we were driving, Christen and I talked a little more. She really makes it a very personable experience and that is honestly what led me to buy the car. As we got back, we came back in the dealership and then the numbers came. We did get a pretty sweet deal on the car as for the valuation price was $22,000, I was able to get it for $3,000 - $4,000 less. That made me pretty happy! I got my trade-in worth and they got me more for what was originally appraised. Now, the real numbers started! Let me tell you, we went back a forth a few times and I even looked at another car because unfortunately, my previous car had some serious negative equity attached to it and I was completely upside down. I think the termed called for that is "tanked". Yes, this is what my car was. :( 2007 Infiniti with 120k miles on it and owed a lot. Dang, I thought I was a goner with this new car. Banks weren't picking us up despite the good/great credit we had! It was just to much of a risk for a bank and we understood. We were on our way out the door, and then all of a sudden, we were told to "wait" because they had found a bank to finance us! They had REAL connections with the lenders and REALLY can get things done! So, we agreed on everything and then we were on our way to close it all! We went back with the financial manager, Alicia, and she really knew what she was doing! She got us in and out in no time and we had our brand new car!!! Christen even had the car triple-checked to make sure everything was perfect, which is great hospitality at its' finest! Taylor, the guy there, even went and got it cleaned and filled up the gas tank for us. He and Christen even helped us with our old tags and like I said previously, made everything perfect! I would definitely recommend this dealership and if you go, make sure you go through Christen! For the 4 hours or so we spent with her, it was definitely an incredible experience and made easy like it should be. Thank you Christen!!! Oh, and the vehicle I purchased was a 2013 Kia Optima SX with 36k miles on it. It is their premium extended line and the symbol is even different. I highly recommend this car. Thanks again!

Very busy person so Brent did not waste my time and we got straight down to numbers. I saw on Toyota website they were leasing for $287/mo for SR5 Tacoma w 287 down. That's all me and my credit was spot on for that payment. Management, however, thought it was fun to offer me something in the 400s. Then offered me 330 before I walked out the door. Still not the advertised 287. I returned after shopping another dealership to see if trading my truck in could be worked on the deal. And this is why I don't like dealerships; they must start at a high number and negotiate. Just give me the best price since Toyota has already advertised a price online. They offered me 3300 less than what I owed on my truck and a pmt of 300, 13 over my target. I said great! I pay 13 over for my negative equity sure! Brent put my pay-off into the computer so management should have had it. They then were confused when I tried to confirm all that was due at signing was my first months payment. Brent began to sweat. New deal had to be proposed.I got 330/mo with step tubes and my truck paid off. It was fair but still worse than what I was offered initially for the same deal. Again, Brent was amazing! Management could enrich the car buying process by at least offering a person the advertised price and honoring a quote, no matter what the mix up may have been. Love my cool blue truck. Can't wait to find a name for her. Would be a lot cooler for 300/mo tho.

My family has purchased 4 prior vehicles from the team at Fred Anderson Toyota of Charleston and we just finished purchase NUMBER FIVE, which was my car, a beautiful 2016 Toyota Corolla (Black). I'm not one to put much value into materialistic things, but this car means a lot to me because prior to this purchase, I didn't have a car for a long LONG time and, boy, was it a struggle to make things happen as a young professional when you don't have wheels. Yes, I did what I needed to do, but life was stressful for a while. I even rented a car by the week until I could figure out how I could get my own car. I didn't have a whole lot of luck coming my way in this particular season of my life. But, that's all changed. My family insisted I go visit the team at F.A. Toyota and I hesitated because I had a lot of things stacked against me and so I wrote myself off before I even had a chance to talk with them. I'm kicking myself because I wish I would have visited them sooner and not shell out about $1,500 in weekly rental car fees so I could get to work (lesson learned). I share all this because you all need to understand that this isn't your typical car dealership and these are not your typical people. These people are like family (especially for us since we've purchased several cars from them). But, even if it's your first visit, you will understand why I say these things. Alesia and Brent are the BEST in the industry! You want to see what true professionalism is all about, go see these individuals and give them about a minute of your time because that's all it takes to see what they can do, and they do it very well! I'm still in awe that I was able to walk out with a new car with a rate that fit my needs and budget! I would have been just as happy if I rolled out of there with ANYTHING that had four wheels and was reliable, but they weren't having that. They addressed my needs and matched me with what was going to work for me.I have friends who roll in their BMWs, Audis, Range Rovers, etc. and that's great, but I am extremely proud to be rolling in my Toyota Corolla baby!!! I had the unfortunate task of having to do the dreaded car shopping because my vehicle had been in an accident and my fully paid for car was declared "totaled". I shopped around town a bit and did some research on Consumer Reports and knew that I wanted to go with a Toyota. I figured I'd start right at a Toyota dealership and found everyone at Fred Anderson Toyota to be amazingly helpful and friendly. I was greeted at the door, asked what I was looking for, shown a few "used" choices - not just Toyota brand, test drove several "styles" of used cars and even a NEW car (which was not in my budget). After coming to grips with the fact I HAD to purchase a car, I then had to make a decision...something I'm not great at. After initially driving around with Lauren Foster, Christen Salvatico ultimately helped me through to the end...even with all my indecision. I feel like the whole process was something I was not looking forward to but ended up with a great 2009 Toyota Highlander which I am really enjoying (and I was glad to know that the original owner and the 2nd owner all dealt with Fred Anderson in their purchases and maintenance). Christen is my new best friend (whether she likes it or not)! She has helped me over and above and has made the transaction much more tolerable. Also dealt with Alesia Durr in financing and she was very helpful in making the final decisions about my financing. The showroom is beautiful, my son enjoyed the multiple free hot chocolates, and the whole experience was ultimately a good one!

We are a Toyota family and we knew that we wanted to read in our 2006 4Runner for a newer model. The woman at the front desk (calls herself GG) gave me a dollar to buy something at the vending machine to pacify my daughter, then another employee came by with some granola and gave it to my daughter to eat. Bringing kids to a dealership is already stressful, and they made it less stressful by being understanding and accommodating. I nicked off 2 stars because I wish I knew about the warranty service contract they lock into your contract when buying a car (Fidelity Warranty Services - more negative reviews than positive ones online). I purchased it but if I can go back in time, I'd refuse it and probably get another company that I have personally vetted myself and done my own homework on, not what the dealer recommends. The staff was great all around from the front desk, sales and finance, but I left feeling like I didn't get a fair chance to get my own preferred warranty service since it was late, we already been there four hours, my 2yo daughter was very restless, pregnant wife even more restless, then when I read the agreement it says I can only cancel the warranty contract if the dealership approves of it, which chances are they won't because I'm sure they get a cut out of that sell. We were there four hours, would have been nice to know about that early on and while waiting I could have done some research beforehand vs making a call on the spot before everything is signed. I was buying a used car, for all I know, the wheels fall off the second I leave the dealership and because I didn't buy the service contract that day, I'm screwed and slapped with the "as is" warranty disclaimer. Just left a bad taste in my mouth to agree to it with only positive information, find out I'm basically locked in and then see all these red flags online about Fidelity Warranty Services.

I purchased a 2012 Camry from this dealership a year ago. We purchased the family plan in addition to the automobile so that we could take advantage of regular service and lifetime free oil changes. This has been a great deal since I drive 35,000 miles a year. I have worked with several of the service team members. The person who takes the appointment to the inside service team of Leroy, Tony, and others. I have never had such a great experience in customer service as I have had with this team. It took us several months of searching to find the perfect vehicle. Our experience at Fred Anderson was wonderful from the first phone call. We we never pressured, and the sales staff were wonderful. John Arent was an excellent salesman. He not only got us a wonderful deal, but made the process easy and stress free. I returned with my daughter the following week so that the vehicle could be reconditioned and cleaned (since they did not have time to do it the day we purchased). My daughter had fun playing in the children's waiting area, and it made the hours pass quickly. Overall we have had superior service and will be loyal Fred Anderson customers!

Bought a car from here that was pretty new. Drove it off the lot and the window broke. Also the car started to smell like cat pee which you couldn't tell when test driving due to the amount of cleaner they used to cover it up. Dropped the car off to have everything fixed and was told we could pick it up the next day. Turns out they are closed on Sundays so you can imagine how annoying it is when you live 45 minutes away and planned your whole day to picking up the vehicle. And don't waste your time making an appointment for an oil change. It's going to take minimum 2 hours regardless of your appointment time even though they lie to you and say an hour.

I just had the most wonderful car buying experience of my life of 61 years! I have been looking for a car for on and off for about 3 months and have had to deal with multiple dealerships. I finally decided it would be worth the drive to Charleston (about 80 miles) to see what they had. I went in to the dealership with specific wants and don't wants and was greeted by the sales representative Tony Hammond. He was nice, understanding and VERY patient. He listened to everything I said and found what I wanted within 10 minutes. It was a little more than what I wanted to spend, but he was able to increase the amount of my trade in to get the price down to what I wanted to pay. The car only had one key and I was skittish about that but he talked to the manager and they have agreed to have another key made for me free of charge (almost 400.00 savings for me). I really appreciated not having to sit in the dealership for hours with someone trying to sell me something I didn't want or couldn't afford. I could go on singing praises for Tony and this dealership but I'll just end with I highly recommend that if you're looking for a car, go there first!

I have always hated the car buying experience, but not this time. Both the salesman, Steve Darling, and the employee in the finance department, Alesia Durr, handled the process so well to the point that I had zero stress with the purchase, which has never been the case for me when I've purchased a car in the past. They answered all of my questions and always to my complete satisfaction. I am in a wheelchair and they made sure that the added issues involved with that unique aspect of driving a car were addressed. When I first called they made sure that the exact model with all the features and color choices that I wanted were on the lot before they would have us come in, rather than trying to sell me one that had almost all of the features and/or colors. They were very fair in their offer for my trade-in, as well. As someone going from a 2005 Mini to a 2016 Prius, Steve did a great job in covering the new technology I now have available in the car. The whole process went smoothly. Tonya set up the appointment as the existing least neared its end and was understanding about the timing. Chris Mitchell did an excellent job in finding a vehicle that meets my preferences. I was impressed at how carefully Chris listened and screened vehicles on hand until we found one, never once trying to just sell me on anything that didn't really have what I desired. Once a vehicle was selected, Chris was professional and courteous with all the sales arrangements, including arranging for me to use the new 4Runner overnight -- I had to leave for a meeting -- and then continue the next day. He provided clear explanations of the features of the vehicle and its electronics package, demonstrated some of the features. Eddie Cooks, likewise, was professional and efficient in handling the paperwork. I had got all the miles out of my old RAM 1500 that I could. The compressor locking up was the last straw. I looked all night for used ones online and couldn't find one I liked. As a last resort I went over toward Hey 17. As soon as I turned the corner I saw the truck I purchased. They not only had 1 but 2 Ram 4x4's. Brent came out introduced himself and had complete knowledge of the truck.. We went for test drive and I was sold. Great truck great price they had just dropped the price. Internet price was 1800 below NADA avg. Only downside was the finance Dept could not get me a warranty package that covered the navigation system so I had to go to my bank to finance and get the warranty package on the truck that covered the 4x4 and navigation system(radio,backup camera, maps, ect.)

I first talked with Carleen on the phone, then Dana, and when I went to the dealership Ryan Spence was my sales person. Since I already picked out the car that I wanted online, it was ready for me to test drive. I let Ryan drive first so I could look around the car. I was looking for a new or slightly used car. My husband located one for me at Fred Anderson Toyota and made an appointment for me to see it and test drive it. I was welcomed immediately by a representative and did not wait long at all to be introduced to the most wonderful salesman ever. His name is Ryan Spence. He had lined up the car I knew I wanted, let me test drive it, and prepared the paperwork in a very efficient and friendly manner. He explained everything to me about the contract then made arrangements for me to see the finance representative, Alesia Durr. She, too, was very efficient, professional and friendly even though I know she must have been tired by the end of the day. Alesia explained the options that were available to me and placed the financing with no hassle to me at all. Within 8 hours of looking online the Internet team called me to set up the appointment. With a sick child and last minute events Carleen was very patient. I called 10 minutes before I showed up and Amy had the truck waiting for me up front. WOW! Unfortunately the truck was too little for my family and heartbroken we were going to leave. Mark looked at what the other Dealerships had but nothing was getting my attention. My husband suggested the rav4. They had a beautiful blue and I drove it home that night. It was not exactly what I wanted so when we went back the next day mark patiently waited for me to decide on my rav4 se. Purchasing a vehicle is normally a process that is dislike greatly. I trade cars probably more than most, which is about ever couple of years, and the experience is normally pretty stressful and takes a considerable amount of time. I had narrowed it down to 2 models however was still unsure of what I wanted. Eric was very patient and knowledgeable about each vehicle. Rodney Lewis at Fred Anderson Toyota was the best thing about our experience. I told him which vehicle I was interested in driving and he didn't try to talk me into driving anything else. He took us right to the car and we went for a test drive. When we got back he was very helpful with our questions and showing us the different features on the car. When we decided to buy it he made the process quick and was able to quickly get the price where we wanted it.

I had not purchased a car in over 15 years. I knew the truck I wanted to look at from searching the dealer website. Christen took me on a tour of the truck's features, inside and out, including Toyota's safety commitment, etc. She was knowledgeable, friendly, helpful, and not pushy at all. She made the buying experience far less traumatic. Alesia took us through the financial work with a minimum of pain. All told, it was an enjoyable experience, as much as spending that much on a purchase can be. :)

I headed out in the morning 99% sure I was going to buy a Honda before the day was out. However, I was curious to know if the trade-in amount offered on my Prius was good, so I went down the road to Fred Anderson Toyota to ask them. It was there I purchased a car - and not because of the trade-in value (which was less!) but because of the customer service. Tem Temuri really listened to me and understood what I was looking for and came up with the ideal car for me. He was patient and knowledgeable and I never felt pressured like I usually do at car dealerships. I would recommend Fred Anderson Toyota and Tem Temuri to anybody interested in buying a car!

It's impossible to rate the service at a dealership when you get NO service, but that has been my experience with Fred Anderson Toyota Charleston. I first went to the dealership to get a warranty issue addressed. When I dropped the car off, I asked that, while they had the vehicle, they change the oil, as well, to save me making two visits. Upon picking up the car, the service manager, Jason Cartin, explained the warranty work was done at no charge, as he handed me my keys. But when I told him I needed to pay for the oil change, he gasp, apologized and said they had forgotten to do it. He volunteered to complete the oil change at a later date at no charge. That's when all the problems started. After a couple of weeks, I called Jason's direct number several times to make an appointment but never got an answer - only voicemail - and never got a call back. Finally, I called the main number and asked for Jason, only to be informed that he no longer worked there. (Funny, his voicemail still worked!) So I asked to make an appointment and was put on hold for approximately 4-5 minutes. Then the line went dead. I called back and asked to speak to a manager and Blake (don't remember his last name) came on the line. I explained by saga and he promised to have Keith Clawson, their new service manager, call me. That was a Monday morning. Three days later, I had still not heard from anyone at Fred Anderson Toyota. So I called the other Toyota dealer in the Charleston area. And though it is 20 miles farther from my home, I made an appointment for the following morning. I was in and out in an hour. Amazing, since I had been trying to get the same lousy oil change from Fred Anderson Toyota for weeks! Bottom line is, you can't complain about the service at Fred Anderson Toyota because there isn't any!

All the folks I encountered are friendly and helpful. Chris Mitchell was focused on finding the right vehicle for our needs and budget. He did not "play games", not pressure and very fair. I have never referred someone to a dealership in the past but because of how Chris treated us, I recommended him to my good friend who bought a new truck the following week. Chris is a real gentleman!The first person you meet in the dealership is Heather the receptionist. She is very friendly, courteous and helpful at every visit.Chivas is fantastic! I had a noise when braking and cornering Chris took me to Chivas who fixed the noise while I waited and he had to climb into trunk. He is the guy you want as a brother-in-law or neighbor.

I would like to be able to review the service department at Fred Anderson Toyota Charleston, but the fact is, I have not been able to get any service at all from the dealership, despite repeated attempts. My only experience with the dealership was to have a warranty issue addressed - something that was done to my complete satisfaction. But upon that one visit, I asked that, while the car was at the dealership, the service techs change the oil, as the next change interval was coming up within a few hundred miles. When I went to pick up the car later that day, I asked how much I owed for the oil change, at which time, the service manager gasped and admitted they had forgotten to do it. He apologized and offered to change the oil at a later date for free. That is when the adventure began. Over the period of two-plus weeks, I called several times to make an appointment to get the oil changed, leaving messages on the same manager's voicemail, but I never got a call back. The reason? I found out after a couple of weeks of futility that the service manager I was calling - the same one who assisted me with the warranty issue, the same one who promised a complimentary oil change to make up for their oversight - no longer worked at Fred Anderson Toyota. (It would have been nice if they had disabled his voicemail. I finally spoke with another manager, Blake, on Monday of this week, explaining the saga, and he promised to call me back as soon as he could check his appointment book. It is now Wednesday afternoon and I've just returned from the "other" Toyota dealership in the Charleston area ... and I'm still waiting on Blake at Fred Anderson Toyota to call me back. Bottom line: you can't complain about the service at Fred Anderson Toyota Charleston because THERE ISN'T ANY.

The new Toyota Highlander was, by far, the best mixture of a smooth ride, comfort, appearance, and features. What really sold us, though, was the knowledge and enthusiasm of our sales rep, Brent. Brent was just as excited as we were about all of the cool new features on the 2016 model. He told us all of the critical details about performance and was also able to answer all of our questions. We just received delivery of our 2016 Toyota Camry SE. This is our second Camry in as many years that we have purchased a Camry from Fred Anderson Toyota of Charleston. I cannot say how satisfied we are with our purchases. We worked with Christen Salvatico on both purchases. All I can say about Christen is that she is the very best sales person I have ever dealt with on any vehicle I have bought and I have bought many vehicles over my fifty six years. I have never had as great of an experience purchasing a vehicle. Christen is so personable and knowledgeable of her product . She goes out of her way to make sure that her customers are satisfied, even on her off days she is there for you. The short amount of time that we spent with her on these purchases was a pleasurable experience. I feel that we have become friends and/or family. The process of buying a new vehicle from Toyota of Charleston is very organized and quick. Our financing was provided through the dealership and we worked with Blake Dunn through that process. Blake provided us with exceptional and very efficient processing of our application and closing and in a timely manner. Everyone there at the dealership is so customer focused and friendly. I will never buy from anywhere else. My hat's off to the management team as well. They mainly worked behind the scenes but I am sure that they are part of the reason our experience was so positive. I am sure that all of the sales force there is good at what they do but I cannot imagine anyone being as "Great" as Christen. Thank you so much Christen.. I had been researching the 2016 Tacoma for months! This was the best experience at a dealer EVER! Brent made sure I got what I needed! I test drove various models (I had test driven other years elsewhere but they had no 2016s available to drive when I had gone). I was able to go in, test drive, complete the sale within hours. UPDATE...I had to sadly lower my rating based on this one caveat: The tags on my turn in vehicle were supposed to be transferred. Alas they were not, so I received a brand new license plate in the mail. When I called and asked what do I do now, the response was use your new plate and keep the old one as a souvenir. About 3 days later, I got a call from Marsha telling me they had a new employee who screwed up and that I had to go the the DMV to turn in my new p;ate and have them transfer my old plate back. I took the time out of my day to go the the DMV to do this and was charged $10 transfer fee, even though it was not my fault. The dealership did reimburse me the $10 however. The DMV told me I now needed to go to the tax auditors office, as I should have a credit due. So the next day...again taking time from work, I went to the tax auditors office. They told me I had to return when I get my tax bill for the other tags, with a letter from Toyota saying they messed up. When I called the dealer to express my disappointment with this whole thing, Alecia Westbrook basically told me nothing they did was wrong. Alecia clearly did not comprehend what I was going through and what I was I was trying to convey! So we'll see what happens when I get my tax bill in the mail for the other tags! Grrrrrr.... They took care of me and my auto buying needs as well as made the turn in of my lease easy and flawless. Ryan is a superb salesman, for as young as he is. He goes above and beyond the call of duty, to ensure his customers are happy and satisfied. I had some finance questions, and Eddie took the time to sit with me and explain everything to me...sort of a "Finance 101" lesson! Both Ryan and Eddie took the time to make sure I was satisfied with the deal made. I'm very happy with my new Rav4!!

The customer service in the service department was lamentable. It seems that every time I go there, the people working in service are unfriendly, unhappy, distant, and slow to render assistance. In my most recent visit, I was waiting in line to drop off my car for an oil change service and once I approached the counter, I waited for an additional 10 minutes before the lady behind the counter decided to acknowledge me. (This seems to be a repetitive act at the service department - the people behind the counter pretend not to notice the customers). When the lady finally decided to notice me, the first set of words she uttered were "are you waiting on me or ...?" Naturally, one does not have to be an expert in customer service to know that that is an unacceptable way to greet a customer. Of course I'm waiting on you, lady. I've only been standing at your counter for at least 10-15 minutes, with nobody waiting in front of me. I did not wish to stare you down or perform any bodily movement to betray my impatience or capture your attention in an annoying fashion. I'm sorry you're working on a Saturday, or that you may be having a bad morning, or that you have other things you would like to be doing. But you do not have to channel your frustration into your work. Consequently, I decided to report this behavior to the service manager. It was not so much that I took her behavior personally as I wanted to hopefully preclude the possibility of any more customers experiencing what I experienced. After talking to the service manager, he attempted to rationalize her behavior by claiming his employees are new and have been very busy lately. While I understand a workplace is prone to be busy, it should not be an excuse to extend unfriendly greetings to customers. I sincerely hope this concern is taken into consideration, because it would be unfortunate for more customers to have to experience this. I can honestly say that Fred Anderson Toyota has lost a loyal customer; not because of the poor customer service, but because of the subsequent problem I experienced when I tried to pick up my car. Although I will not go into the details of that situation, I will say that it was the final straw for me - and I have no intention to return. Thank you for ruining what I thought could be a long-standing, positive, and mutually beneficial relationship. I hope your future customers walk away with more satisfaction.

Amy Baker responded and followed up quickly with me the next day, getting my offer and financing approved. I came up the next day and the car I was purchasing was there in perfect condition. Mark Searcy and his finance/business manager worked with me to close the deal on the agreed upon terms. Everyone was courteous, friendly, professional and efficient. Wonderful experience at Fred Anderson Toyota of Charleston. Our sales rep, John Shirey, was very laid back, yet knowledgable. We didn't feel pressured at all, and he worked tirelessly to find us the car we liked, even if it had to be shipped from another store. Wow, these guys (and girls) are good (great!). I emailed an inquiry on an incredibly priced vehicle I found on CarGurus. Although it was Sunday and they were closed, Internet Sales Consultant Amy Baker contacted me immediately to notify me that she had my information and offer and would be in touch early the next morning to follow up (important, because such good deals tend to move quickly). She did just that and worked quickly and diligently to gain an approval on my offer! She stayed in constant communication and provided me an approval by the end of the day, and I came up the following morning to work with Sales Professional Mark Searcy and Business Manager / Finance Professional, Eddie Cooks to finalize the deal. Like Amy, both were personable, professional and efficient. The car (a used Jeep) was in even better shape than I imagined (like new- a fantastic deal). They stuck to the terms that were agreed upon and the whole thing took less than 45 minutes. I highly recommend this dealership. Even though they are 4 hours from where I live in Florida, I'll be checking their inventory on my next auto purchase. Very well done! Thank you for your attentive help Amy, Mark and Eddie. I never felt pressured by Steve Darling. He gave me all the facts on several Toyota models. I was looking specifically at a hatchback type car. We discussed what each model would cost, and when I thought it was impossible for me to afford a Prius (which I had wanted for years) he put together what I had for a downpayment on a lease and a monthly lease amount that I could afford. It was my absolute limit, but still he put me in a deal for a 2015 Prius 3 that is making me so happy. All the employees that I dealt with at the dealership were very friendly, but also very low key. I was at the dealership for maybe 3 hours and it was all a very pleasant experience.
