I am an African-American woman, who is an Environmentalist, Civil Rights Attorney and a member of the Hartford City Council. I found Gale Toyota Dealership through multiple searches for a new hybrid vehicle. These searches were conducted by my former husband, who is a manager at a dealership in the New Haven area. I was looking for a new Hybrid vehicle that was both reliable and cost efficient. An African-American woman by the name of Barbara Hodges was my Sales Representative at Gale Toyota. Ms. Hodges was an outstanding Sales Representative. I found her to be fair, patient, professional, well informed, and always on time for even impromptu meetings. She answered all of my questions, introduced me to outstanding staff, including Doug, who assisted me at length with my financing, and I even got to meet other staff, including the service staff who would be working with me once my vehicle needed to be serviced. Barbara Hodges made sure my first service appointment was made before I left, my vehicle was washed, clean and ready to roll, and my gas tank was full. She spent a considerable amount of time making sure that I knew how to start a hybrid vehicle, turn it off, dr4ive it, use the smart keys, and that I understood the importance of the key code in the event that I was out of town and lost my keys. She, of course, made sure that all of the required information was thoroughly understood, and even gave me directions as to how to get to the dealership. She was extremely patient, even though she had to deal with my former husband, who is a manager at a dealer manager in Connecticut. In two days, I was able to drive out with my new Toyota Cambry Hybrid, in the color I wanted, with all of the features that I wanted, and more importantly, Barbara Hodges explained to me, very patiently, exactly what I needed to know to have a positive ownership experience with my new Hybrid vehicle. Barbara Hodges is an extremely valuable asset to the Gale Toyota dealership, and she certainly made sure that I received fast, reliable and professional service, truly with a smile. Her sense of humor and sense of humanity really came through, as did Doug's, when he assisted me in completing my financial application and made sure that I had and understood all of the financial information and insurance options that I required prior to taking ownership of the vehicle. This was the quickest, and most positive experience I have ever had in purchasing a vehicle. I absolutely will be referring other customers to Gale Toyota in Enfield. Cynthia R. Jennings, Esq.

After having a dramtic experience with my previous car catching fire, I was caught in the market of buying a new car unexpectedly. I test drove a few different vehicles including the Nissan Maxima, Chevy Impala, Subaru Legacy, Ford Tourus the Honda Accord, and of course the Camry XSE. I love the Camry, but that isnt the only reason why I bought it. I bought it because Barbara and Mike were fantastic. Not only did they make the car buying experience seem simple, but answered all my questions, reviewed all the product knowledge of the car with me, and worked with me to get everything financed easily and quickly. A very warm thank you to them both. I highly recommend them to everyone looking to buy a new car.

Please visit this dealership! Service Manager Rich Golden and Tech Tim Smith will not disappoint. This email was written to GM Mike Green after having my frame replaced on my mint condition 04 Toyota Tacoma.... Good Morning Mike, I am writing you to thank you and your Service Department for the service I received at your dealership. I am the owner of a 2004 Toyota Tacoma that had the extended warranty on the frame. Back in February, my frame unfortunately cracked. I immediately contacted Service Manager Rich Golden who was able to get me in, inspected my frame, had the warranty claim entered and approved and had me in a rental vehicle within that same day. After a 2 month wait for parts, it only took Richs team a day and a half to complete the job which exceeded my very high expectations. I would like to note that you should be very proud of Rich Golden and Tim Smith because they represent your dealership in a very positive and extremely professional manner. I can tell you that because of these individuals, I will be returning to your dealership in the future and will continue to speak very highly of the business that is conducted there. Recently I was driving my vehicle, and I heard some strange noises. I stopped at Gale Toyota to have the service department locate the cause of the problem. They immediately took my vehicle into the shop to examine it. A short time later, they informed me of the problems. I needed new brakes and my transaxle had to be replaced. My vehicle is a 2008 Highlander with 42,000 miles. The service manager, contacted Toyota and was informed that the transaxle would be replaced at no cost to me. I paid for the brakes to be replaced as this was normal wear. The service was prompt and repairs were to my satisfaction. Gale Toyota's service manager and his staff were friendly and courteous. They did a fine job with my vehicle. As a result, I will continue to have my vehicle serviced there and recommend them to others.

Fantastic service dept. They are all about what having a car serviced is.No fears of high pressure or asking you to have things done that are really needed. Very honest. Everyone in that dept was wonderful. The service manager Richard was so friendly and helpful. I've purchased 2 Toyotas from Gale and have all my service done by them. Their service department is clean, the folks behind the counter are always nice. One day on the way to work, I had a serious problem stop me cold. I drove in and they were able to take care of me with a loaner car right away and fixed my car. The hours they are open make it very easy for me to find time for normal oil changes without having to leave work early. They have highly skilled technicians. I learned a long time ago that you can buy a car from anyone but it's the quality of the service department that keeps you as a customer. There are a lot of options for repairs but I choose to stay with Gale. And I found out the hard way while on vacation in Maryland that not all Toyota service depts are created equal.

I live 80 miles away from Gale Toyota. I saw a used car which was listed on Gale Toyota's website.. I had previously visited at least four other Toyota dealers in search of a 2013 Toyota. The difference with Gale Toyota is that they appreciate the time you took to come and visit them. Michael Mercier made the visit comfortable and was not an aggressive salesperson concerned with making his numbers. He was honest and took the time to listen to me. The Sales Supervisor was friendly and very accommodating. There was a small dent on the car and he enthusiastically declared that it could be fixed. After purchasing the car, Michael spent a considerable amount of time with us explaining various functions of the car. We were unfamiliar with many of the options since we have older cars. There was also a follow up call from Michael asking if we had any further concerns. I highly recommend using this Toyota dealer. I am very happy that we took the time to travel to Gale Toyota.

Bought a car a few months ago, came to Gale by fate. Had an accident with my car right in front of the post office of the dealership, what are the chances of that. I needed a new car, went into the dealership and I was greeted by this young professional by name of Luis Rodriguez great kid amongst the others there, Well dressed and very tentative told him is was time. The people at Gale Toyota in Enfield, Conn. are a very special breed. It was the best car buying experience I or my wife have ever encountered in our 50 something years of living. We went to the Toyota sale going on until the end of Sept. and got a brand new XLE Camry, at a very good price, with very little haggling. Barbara our sales person was very helpful, extremely nice and very informed. Marcus the sales manager was very friendly. He made an extra effort to come and speak to us. We got the car we wanted, the price we wanted and when we went in to see Rich the finance manager he clearly explained all of our options and we picked the one that best fit our current situation, actually saving us money. Each time we were there it was a very comfortable relaxed atmosphere. Congratulations Gale. You are a great example of the way a car dealership should be run. I came to Gale after a bad accident totaled my car and I needed a new car. While I got the car I wanted, my salesman Michael Mercier, decided it was OK to have the car driven from another dealership, 166 miles, to Enfield. I was horrified it had so many miles on the car but I was callously treated and told this was no big deal. So I paid top price for a new 'used' car! I was in a bind with no car to drive home. I will never recommend Gale Toyota to anyone else or ever shop there again. They knew I needed a car and they used my unfortunate accident to sell this expensive 'used' car at a top price. This was a poor decision on their part not check to see if I would rather have the car transported via trailer rather than driven by someone else. I also told them no one drives my car. Buyers beware! They will do anything to sell a car but they have now lost a customer forever.

We purchased two 4Runners in one week! My wife saw hers on a Monday and took delivery the next day. I liked it so much that I came back on Thursday to look at another one and went home with it that day. Our salesperson Barbara was great to work with. She handled everything quickly and professionally - even coming in on her day off when she heard that I was visiting the dealership to look at another 4Runner. The financing process was handled quickly and without unnecessary pressure to add an extended warranty or other items. The pricing was around/slightly above the published True Market Values of the vehicles. My only complaint was that the mileage on the demo vehicle that I purchased was not disclosed until I saw the odometer on the test drive. It had over 4,000 miles on it - had I known that when I called to inquire about the vehicle, I would not have made the hour drive to look at it. I recently had to take early retirement due to a medical disability and 4000 miles is about a years worth of driving for me, so I felt that the price of the vehicle should have been adjusted lower to compensate for it being used virtually as a rental vehicle (the GPS NAV system listed concert venues and restaurants in the recently searched locations). 4000 miles is far more than a "demo" in my opinion (that was a long test drive!). It had already lost the coveted 'new car smell'. Unfortunately, by that point I was 'hooked' and my emotions took over so I did buy it. The 4Runners were fairly clean when delivered, with one scratch on the fender of my wife's vehicle which was corrected and some unwashed areas on my 4Runner around the license plate and on the bumper. I would recommend buying from Gale Toyota, and would return if in the market for a new Toyota in the future. I would also recommend asking the mileage of any "new" vehicle ahead of time however.

I have purchased 3 vehicles from Gale Toyota. 2 Camry's and a Highlander. In all cases the teamwork between Scott and Shaun has been excellent. They make me feel at ease and there is no high pressure. They worked to help me get the best deal possible. The Camry's were new and I did not have to bring the cars for unscheduled services. The scheduled services are handled by a team of professionals who take the time to answer questions and don't pressure me to buy anything. The Highlander was bought 'Certified' and this vehicle has been a joy to drive and maintain. I have put many miles on this vehicle and needed to get new tires. They allowed me to make informed decisions and show me why certain repairs were needed. I feel confident returning to this dealership because they treat me as a person. Great job team! Keep up the good work.

ok, I am a Toyota newbie. I have never owned one before. I've always had Chevy. However, my last car was a Dodge because I had a good deal on it. Yeah, right, so I thought!!!! It was always one problem after another. Someone recommended I go see John Doran at Gale Toyota, and trade in my Dodge before it loses too much value. I did that. I had seen a car on their website I was interested in. Walking in, I asked to speak with John and although he was not expecting me, he made sure I was in good hands. He introduced me to Shaun Stevens. How awesome is this guy!! This Gale Toyota team work TOGETHER to make sure you get the best deal possible and that you are COMPLETELY satisfied. I drove in there with a 2009 Dodge Journey, and drove out with a 2011 RAV4 Limited Edition. I am so proud of my new vehicle and I couldn't wait to tell my family and friends about the service and great customer care I received at Gale Toyota!! When I told them this was my first "Toyota", they replied with "first of many, you'll see!!" They are very confident in their product and they stand proud behind the Toyota make. Most of my family own Toyota's and wouldn't you know it, we all went to this same dealership!! That says it all!!!!!! And if you do decide to go, ask for John Doran or Shaun Stevens, and tell them Kim sent you!! :)

So my wife and I bought a prius last year at a dealership in Wallingford. After all the crazy winter storms, she realized that a prius is not meant for New Englanders. So doing research we found out that we were upside down on our loan by $10,000. That's right $10,000. The Prius has the worst resale value, and after only putting on 10,000 miles on it we were shocked about it all. We called up Gale Toyota and told them our problem. So we went the next day to see what they can do for us. We then meet up with Sales Representative Pat Filiault, who advised us on the what we can do to get out this crazy ordeal. Which was get into a lease and quickly pay off the negative equity on our car and drive a new car. My wife fell in love with the Venza and the way it handled, so we took it for a test drive. Well 4 hours later and we left with a brand new 2014 Venza with only 11 miles. Our payment is a bit high, but we now got out of a nasty situation, which would of turned out to be even more horrific if we had kept the car a few months longer. Thanks Gale for all of your help, looking to do more business with you guys.

I visited this dealership to purchase a vehicle. The salesperson was very rude and inconsiderate. He answered his phone during our consultation and didn't seem to have any concern about our satisfaction with the service or process of purchasing the vehicle. When asked a question, the salesperson would beat around and not give a clear answer. The paperwork was incorrect with scribbling writing, inconsistent information and lack of clarity on the bill of sale to the point that the customer had to re-calculate the number. The overall process took 2.5 hours from walking in to walking out. The general manager would not answer questions when asked, and would give inconsistent information. Overall, I was very dissatisfied with the customer service and would not recommend this dealership.

I bought my wifes' Corolla and my Tacoma from Ted Laraway at Gale Toyota and I thoroughly enjoyed dealing with this salesman and this dealership. I've purchased over 20 new vehicles in my lifetime and have dealt with over zealous high pressure sales people that used all the fancy talk and tactics to try to sell me a new car. Ted was the opposite, no pressure, makes buying easy. When I bought my Tacoma from Gale Toyota, one small part from the towing package was not there and I didn't notice it missing until 4 months later. I called Ted Laraway and explained that I needed the part. That same day Ted handed me the part and I thanked him a couple of times, he said "You're welcome but it's just part of my job." When I give my wifes car to my daughter you can bet that I will buy a Rav 4 from Ted Laraway at Gale Toyota!

From the first test drive, through the negotiation, loan and the administrative processes and especially the service process Gale always displays the ultimate professionalism. When I bought my truck there it was delivered to my driveway by 1 PM, with Brand new rubber on it. When I had a problem with the ignition switch on my old Camry the service manager came out with a new key in less than 10 minutes and I had a $7 solution. I can't say enough about how organized they are.
