We just purchased a 2015 Certified Toyota Avalon XLE from Garber Fox Lake Toyota and had an Amazing experience. Our sales person Monika was a fairly new employee with Garber however her professionalism outshined any details she might of not known by quickly getting us answers to the several vehicles we were looking at. The experience continued to be great with the manager Joe who was accommodating and onto their financing department as they completed our loan agreement. There pricing is extremely competitive and although an hour drive was worth the trip to save $$$ and work with a reputable dealership.

We were doing the "famous comparison" shopping for a new car. We knew that we wanted a Toyota based on our vehicle (Toyota Sienna) and we loved Toyota's reliability and longevity. At Garber, we met Monika and John, both of them were very knowledgeable about the Sienna and Highlander. Both of them were very polite, made us at ease, and most importantly patient with us. Both of them took the time to make sure all of our questions were answered (we had a lot of them) and there was no pressure to purchased a vehicle. They worked with us to get a fair price for our Highlander, considering we haven't brought a car since 2008. We strongly recommend them!!!

I have always received my car maintenance on my leased Toyota at the Dealership I have always leased from however I have not been able to get in for a time slot that works with my schedule. The first time I contacted Garber they got me a time that worked without hesitation. When I arrived for service from minute I entered front walkway service was nothing under expectation. It was actually above and beyond. Big Charlie greeted me so kindly at the door the second I walked in. He attended to all my needs. Getting my car right in. He showed me the location of the bathrooms and the beverages and refreshments. He was so welcoming and answered all my questions. He followed up with me throughout the service to let me know what was happening and when it would be done. He even got me a nice clean up to both the interior and exterior of the vehicle and came on my way out to make sure I was happy with all my services. Very timely and on top of everything. I will definitely be coming back. Thanks for the great service and smile.

This is the first time in over five years that I've had to buy a car and the staff here made it such an amazing experience. Monika (though still relatively new to the place) made myself and my partner feel not only welcome, but took care of us in the most accommodating manner. I have relatively poor credit, but they managed (over the course of five hours, mind you) to find a bank willing to work with me and my income! I got the vehicle I wanted and they made sure of it. They didn't need to go through half of what they did for me, definitely above and beyond. If I need another car in the future, I can't recommend them enough. Firstly, they were all so friendly. They didn't try to con us into a "new" vehicle once we said we were in the market for used. Monika and John were extremely up front and did everything and more that they could for us. Secondly, even though it took most of the day of jumping through hoops (on my part) they were incredibly patient and understanding, and extremely kind, to boot. I can't recommend them enough. They worked so diligently and tirelessly to get me in the car I wanted. If I could give them more stars, I would.

Wow! I don't know where to start. My husband and I were on the search for a new SUV and stopped into Garber Toyota. We were greeted by Monika, who started by asking us what we were interested in. She took us out to the lot and we chose a vehicle to test drive. Of course, we fell in love with it! Throughout the entire process, Monika worked hard to get us the best deal possible. She was so friendly and honest, which was greatly appreciated. She understood this was a large purchase for us and was with us every step of the way. On the day we purchased the vehicle, Monika, her manager, and Barry, the finance person, made the process seamless. We had our two small children with us, so they took care of everything while we took them to dinner. About an hour later, Monika called me and told me we were all set. From the time we returned to the dealership and left with our new car, it was about 30 minutes. This was absolutely the BEST car purchase experience we have ever had. Needed service on my Tacoma. Moved to the area recently so thought I'd take it to the Fox Lake Dealership. I looked on their website and saw the list of services for 30,000 miles. There was also a coupon that said 30,000 mile service for $107.95. But when I got to the dealership with the coupon, they told me "well, that's not for ALL the services - it only includes the oil change, tire rotation, and a cabin filter". It'd be over $200 for all the services they listed. So very - let's just say - "misleading". Why list out services for 30,000 miles, have a coupon for 30,000 miles, but don't honor it? I just had them do an oil change and tire rotation and won't be back. Just another dishonest dealership. It's too bad.

My praise and thanks go out to Fox Lake Dealership Illinois for thier excellent service. They treated me with so much respect. I purchased 2015 LS Chevy Spark...the transaction went so smoothly...there was not any pressure to buy the car and yes they did show me a few other options but I insisted on the adorable little Chevy Spark??. John and Lisa worked with me as well as Barry in Finance. They all focused on me and my purchase. I have never received so much attention at a dealership, it was all about me, They were able to get me financed (even with my questionable credit history) with what I consider to be a fantastic interest rate given my situation. The last dealership I went to (about 2 weeks ago) I was there for 5+ hours and walked out empty handed. While driving to the Toyota dealership, I planned for a 5+ hour stay but, to my surprise everything was signed, sealed and delivered within 2 hours. I cannot thank Lisa, John and Barry enough for the smoothest experience I have ever had buying a car. I know they will always be there for me... I have bought plenty of cars before and this by far was the easiest experience I have ever had. Dealing with Bob Vrakas was incredibly exprieance who was very polite and courtesy to what I was looking for. The first thing I informed Bob was, that I don't need a new car, I just want a new car. We went for a test drive with what was in stock(not what I wanted). He never pushed me to purchase what they had in stock since it wasn't what I was looking for. Before we went on the drive, Bob went over the truck and was very knowledgeable of the product which was very impressive. Bob went out of his way to find what I wanted and it was out of state and had it brought in for me. Once my truck was in, Bob went over everything again as a refresure course and even more info about the truck. As a business owner, having employee's like this is priceless. Keep up the great job and thanks for all your help.

Service personnel are always friendly and take care of what needs to be done. This time I had a noise in my heating/cooling fan and it was a mess! The cabin filter was loaded with nesting fibers so they thoroughly cleaned the fan motor, disinfected it and cleaned out the vent under the front window. I appreciated their thoroughness and helpful explanation.

I was told exactly what would be done with the car, the cost and how long it would take. I asked a lot of questions and always got answers. If I didn't understand something, the time was taken to explain it to me. The staff was always helpful, kind and courteous. I would always come in and see Charlie. Charlie was great. He would follow up with a phone call to let me know what was happening with my car and always answered my questions. I never felt like I was unimportant or a bother. It's no fun to have car problems when you have to be at work every day, but Toyota did not add any stress to my situation. My Camry is the first Toyoya I ever bought and I have been very pleased.

I was at the dealership in the morning and returned at 5pm that evening. The salesman and sales manager went out of their way to put both the cars that I was interested in next to each other so I could decide which one I wanted. One of the vehicles was in the showroom so this was not an easy task! I could not decide on which car to purchase, therefore I kept the gentlemen at work long after the store was closed and if they were upset, it never showed!Lupe, the salesman was honest and very polite, I would purchase a car from him again someday!I had a couple of issues that I was not happy with and the sales manager corrected all of them!

have a problem with bridgestone run flat tires cupping that have less than 8000 miles on them and the tire dealer where I bought them from blames it on shock, strut or alignment problem which was proven by toyota that I do not have any of those issues. I appreciate toyota not trying to scam (like many dealerships do) by taking advantage of an issue that does not exist with my vehicle.

Watch out! They damaged my oil pan threads and will not admit they did the damage! We purchased our 2010 Sienna Van new from Fox Lake Toyota. Since they had a fair prices on oil changes, we had ALL our oil changes and major services done at the dealer. In every visit they would report major work required for the van which was not necessary, being aggressive & disrespectful to my wife by scaring her to believe damage would occur without the expensive repairs. I am very experienced with automotive repair and I know when something should be done. The fact that they use fear to scare people to make unnecessary repairs is intolerable. They recently did an oil change and they reported the oil pan threads were damaged and the pan must be replaced at our cost even though they have done ALL the oil changes and they were the last to change the oil! They are insisting it must be replaced by someone else or we cannot return again!! I insist they replace the oil pan since they obviously stripped the threads and will not admit to this since it is at their cost. Unbelievable!

He did not pressure me into anything and I felt that he was being realistic and straight forward with me from the test drive all the way to him helping me clean out my trade in. It was one of the easiest deals we ever made on the car and they also negotiated with us on the extended warranty some other packages. It was the only place we shopped for our car. I liked the fast service. My car had fuel issues. The tow truck driver got my car to start so I brought it in. I told the attendant about my issue and she suggested I have a ignostic test done for $130.00. I was shocked at the amount charged for putting it on a machine. My tow driver thought it was only bad gas. I have another repair station that if needed I will bring my car to. He charges $69.00.

We recently went with a family member to help out with a car purchase. Our overall experience at the Fox Lake Toyota dealership was excellent. Prior to our visit, our salesperson, Scott Nielsen, provided timely responses to our phone calls. We did our research before going to the dealership and knew the precise model/trim we wanted. Scott was very friendly, knowledgeable and not overly aggressive. Scott kept his word with phone call promises. The mechanic, Casey, came and talked to me twice. He did find a power steering field was leaking & fixed that. He could not find the problem with the noise. It's not real loud but I was concerned something was loose under the hood. He said he checked and assured me nothing was loose to cause a vibration. He made some assumptions but did not recommend any unnecessary work. He said if it gets louder then he can investigate further. That is what I like about Fox Lake Toyota. No one scares you into paying for unnecessary repairs. I give Casey a 10! He addressed all my concerns and questions.

I worked with Scott Nielson and have been impressed. I HATE shopping for cars because of all the bait and switch or dishonest salesman. I can assure you that if you work with Scott at Fox Lake, you will not have to worry. Scott was honest, quick and thorough with my purchase. He even watched my kids while i was finalizing the paper work (who does that these days!). There was no pressure to purchase any after market items or extended warranties. My husband and I researched a lot and compared prices and their price was the best. When we got there there were a lot of hidden fees but they seemed legit. They used a lot of old tactics and tricks to scam us. I didn't realize this because I didn't think these scams can be used and still be in business. They truly need to be shut down. We drove from WI. we have dealt with the finance department who was lying to credit companies to get us approved for a loan. Right there and then we should have left. After seeing so many mistakes we took a day off from work and drove back and spoke with the owner who was extremely rude. We thought we could reason with him because at first we thought they made a mistake. He would not negotiate with us. They were able to scam us because we are younger and don't have a lot of experience with scam artists. Anyway I don't trust any positive reviews on here and if there are it is possible that ppl don't realize that they were scammed. We were scammed for about 2000 dollars and it is easily overlooked if ur not extremely careful with them. I would not give them a chance and I would run from this place like a plague.

I bought a 2010 Toyota Prius IV about 2 months ago after many apologizes from the used car sales manager because the night before the new car sales manager treated me like I was stupid. I realized the weekend after purchasing the car that they had given me a key fob that either doesn't work or has a dead battery. so it has been sitting on my dresser collecting dust. In addition, I am now due for an oil change and so I had asked for the key fob to be fixed if I stop in to get an oil change (since it is about a 40 minute drive for me). However, I have now emailed them about three times and called a couple times, but have failed to hear from anyone. I was debating re-writing my previous review had Fox Lake Toyota been willing to work with me, but since they are ignoring me, I figured it was time to write another review. I am seriously never going to recommend this dealership to anyone, and I don't remember how they are still in business.

They made me feel very comfortable and before day's end I bought my 2011 Toyota Sienna from Bob. He made sure I had all the features I wanted at the price I could afford. I loved my van and sadly had to replace it when it was totaled this year. I knew just where to go and who to see....Bob Vrakas...he was just as wonderful as the first time and every oil change in my new 2014 Toyota Sienna Bob checks to see I am happy....he even pairs my phone for me (I so appreciate it) fox lake is no hassle and comfortable....I will be back when my kids are grown for something sportier....thank you

To whom it may concern, I recently stopped by Fox Lake Toyota and Scion in hopes of purchasing a used 2010 Prius IV. I brought a friend with that is familiar cars and cars sales to make sure I would be getting a good deal. Upon arrival I was surprised by the lack of enthusiasm among the staff to help a customer; however there was a nice salesman that introduced himself and asked how he could help. This salesman, although nice, he did not understand the new computer program and had multiple problems with it during the visit. This salesman also seemed to share entirely way too much information about himself and not enough about the actual vehicle I was interested in purchasing and after test driving he still displayed a lack of knowledge about the new computer system. Then I was introduced to the sales manager, Ed OBrian, who didnt even introduce himself. Instead he immediately launched into a speech about how he would try but not be able to get me a monthly payment within my budget because he has been in the business long enough to know what is and is not possible. I told him what my budget was he said he would try as he stormed off with an attitude. Meanwhile, my friend had asked the salesman if he could grab the folder, so he could look at the vehicles history. The salesman said that there were no papers in the folder besides the key and the owners manual. Which I thought was more than a little strange, but so be it. After which he brought back a couple pricing options, not actual pricing from a bank, but some scribbles on a piece of paper. So, I was simply going to end the evening with an Ill think it over. Ed didnt want to take that for an answer though, so he stopped me as I was trying to leave. His attitude had drastically worsen and he had a new speech and it was filled with disrespect. He tried to tell me that I will be wasting my time to have driven all the way out here and not purchase a car, that he would take care of me and that I wouldnt get a better deal anywhere else. He even went as far as assuming that the other dealerships had turned me down for a loan and a car, when in reality I hadnt purchased a car yet because the cars I looked at had been in accidents. So I walked out the door without looking back because even though I loved the car and could have made the payments work, I refused to purchase anything from someone that is simply rude and disrespectful. I will not waste my time or money being treated like I am less than someone else or like I am stupid. I am absolutely appalled by the customer service I received, especially when I work in retail. With all this in mind, I just want you to understand that I will never do business with Fox Lake Toyota, nor will I ever recommend this dealership to anyone else. Sincerely,an unsatisfied customer

After having oil changes done at another local Toyota dealership the past five years, I thought we would give Fox Lake Toyota a try because of a $10 off coupon. That decision ended up costing a lot more than the $10 savings. After waiting almost 1.5 hours, they told my 22 year old daughter that the threads were stripped on the oil pan and it would cost $500 to repair. Additionally they strongly recommended about $500 in other urgent services (mostly fluid changes). Thankfully I had told her not to get any additional work done without talking to me. Now maybe it was just a coincidence that the oil pan threads stripped on our first visit to this dealer, but the threads were OK when she took the car in, so draw your own conclusion. They did caulk the threads so she could drive home, and we got the repair done at Hamel's AutoHaus in Grayslake for $140 less.Update: After contacting the Service Manager, Mr. Owen, at Fox Lake Toyota about our experience, he said he could have worked something out if I had contacted him immediately. However, he made no offer, but instead accused me of falsifying my account and implied that I had probably taken my car somewhere else between the two oil changes done at Toyota dealerships. I consider this to be a very unprofessional response, and we will not be returning to this dealer.

Today Monday 8/25/14, when FL Toyota failed to meet their promise to deliver the Camry I ordered on Sat 8/23/14 with one of the options, I expressed my dissatisfaction and wanted to cancel the order, Over the phone, the manage could not control his temper and yelled at me that (quote as exact stated) "we're not perfect, no-body is perfect. You think you're perfect... yeah go ahead to cancel it and dont ever ever come to Fox Lake Toyota again, ever! You hear me? Never come to Fox Lake Toyota for anything!!!" and he hung up the phone without any instructions for the cancelling process as I already put down a deposit $500 on my credit card. I felt schock & insulted the way I was treated by the FL Toyota manager. I'll request a dispute with my credit card company and would contact a lawyer in case they don't return my deposit as required by law.I do not recomment anyone to buy car at FL Toyota. Go to Autonation Toyota or orther dealers for better respect and professional services.

Our salesman, Mike Halgren, was a great person to work with. Mike helped us compare different models, encouraged us to take test drives before we bought, and never pressured us in any way. We felt that Mike treated us fairly and was very honest and open with us. We truly appreciated working with him. While Fox Lake Toyota did not have in stock the particular car that we wanted, they were able to easily locate one at another dealership and bring it to their lot for us to pick up. We were able to negotiate a fair purchase price both times and were really pleased with all the people that we met there -- from the sales manager to the service staff. We plan to return there the next time that we need a car.

Very nice people to talk with and purchase a vehicle. They will discuss things and go over your options. I like the ability to look over the offer before I commit. They will allow you to think about the transaction before you make a decision. They will discuss things like the value of your trade and I could explain why I thought my vehicle was worth more. I like to make sure it makes sense before I purchase. Only a little nick on the repair dept. Had an issue once, worked it out with the manager, but it should not have occurred. Sales experience has been excellent. This is the second vehicle we have purchased here.

If we wanted to make the purchase, which was at a GREAT price, we had to completely trust the information that we received from Scott. He did everything he could to add to our comfort level, including a phone tour of the car with my husband to make sure that we knew as much as possible before we set out to Illinois.The car appeared to be exactly as Scott described, and between him and the management staff a very smooth deal was handled. However, I was sure that the car would break down on the way back to Michigan, but it didn't happen. Then I decided to wait a month to write this review in case any problems surfaced that the dealership neglected to tell us: Well, that didn't happen either. Beware with this dealer, if you know nothing about car, you are done, they will rip you off. I visited this dealer for a diagnostic purpose, first place they haven't identified the issue and presented me with another work order worth 4000+. They haven't even bothered to find out the issue and continued with other work which they convinced me. Finally, by God's grace they have identified the issue, when the pursue with other work, stopped the work and forced me to pay their labor.

I have purchased two new cars from this dealer a 2009 Camry and a 2010 Pruis both when the dealer still had the lifetime warranty free on power train. The dealership no longer has this deal and in my opinion they need it. I went in to trade in my Pruis for a Rav 4 and not only did they low ball me $1500 on what Carmax quoted my trade in but they were also $2000 over what I ended up paying for the new Rav 4 Limited I now own. I was also told I couldn't get the color I wanted even though they confirmed it was on the way to their store. I bought both my previous cars brand new from John Paladino and John Ringer was the one who financed both of them as well. John Ringer quoted me $500 more for the platinum warranty for two less years then where I bought my 2012 Brand New Rav 4 AWD V6 Limited. So after calling around I reached an amazing straight forward sales man named Tony B at Toyota on Western and told him what happened and guess what, he emailed the purchase agreement and I went in the next day. Although this dealership is in a bad neighborhood it was well worth it. I was greeted and in the finance office with no haggle at all. Then to my surprise Holly the finance lady gave me the Platinum warranty with two more years for $500 less then what John Ringer wanted to charge me. I also paid $2000 less for our New Rav4. The fact that I receive weekly emails from Fox Lake to trade in has made me write this review. Fox Lake has lost me as a customer forever and you couldn't pay me to walk into this store again. I have bought 10 plus new cars thus far and I will be going to Toyota on Western when that time comes again. The dealership that held my old lease was slightly interested in helping me with purchasing a new Toyota, but Fox Lake Toyota was honest, reliable and very transparent of what they could do and how they could make the best deal for me. I did not feel pressured but truly like my needs were heard and met. My experience was EXACTLY what I was most comfortable with and precisely as promised with no last minute exceptions. Fox Lake Toyota/Scion is the best dealership I have ever dealt with. The sale people did not jump on me as soon as I got out of my car to start harrassing me, they let me walk around and look. Once I found the car I was interested in, I had the General Manager approach me and talk to me, not about a car, but just friendly conversation. He then hooked me up with Fred Strudthoff in sales. Fred was totally professional and took the time to explain every thing about the car to me. No pressure was applied by him for me to buy this car. Once I made the decision, the whole organization stepped up and began something I have never seen, they took the car, cleaned it, detailed it and acted like it was their own car. Once we started the paperwork, the finance department went that extra mile to answer all my questions and even worked me into a great deal with very low APR, even with mediocore credit scores. This place makes you feel like family, which is one of the many things that sold me on Fox Lake Toyota/Scion. Would highly recommend this dealership to anyone, even my enemies.

We Drove 75 miles to Fox Lake Toyota for a 3 yr old sienna. The car was in excellent condition and very well priced. The salesman Bill was a very friendly, laid back guy who knew all the information that I needed or quickly found it out. Nate, who took care of finance knew his stuff, was plesant, fast and got us on our way. The purchase was a great experience and these guys are highly recommended. This is a good dealership with great sales and service deprtments but their website is totally useless. They don't show their actual inventory, just the "showroom" models from toyota's feed. And, of course, those show no option packages included (like many of the models come with). So, not only, can't you tell what they have on the lot, but you can't even request a price with any option packages included. What's the use of having the website? Might as well just have an address and phone number, because to get any usefull information from them you would have to either call or visit their location. This is 2012 not 1912! Get with the program. Toyota provides two different search options "Show Room", which is all of the models, colors with base trim packages and "Search Inventory", which is where the dealer shows exactly what they have in stock, with whatever options are on them. In the past 12 hours I have been on 20 Toyota dealers websites around the Chicago area and everyone of them shows their actual inventory.

I bought a 2010 Prius III from Fox Lake Toyota, and the whole experience from start to finish was very positive. When I called to see if the car I saw on the Internet for Kelley Blue Book was still available, John Ippolito was very helpful on the phone. He went out to check on the car and even took me step by step over the phone on their Internet site so that I could bring up the most current information on the 2010 Prius III. When I visited the dealership later in the day, John was very throrough and answered all of my questions both during and after the test drive. He showed me all of the information on that specific car (past history, current work done, etc.). I decided to buy the Prius that day and have felt nothing but positive about my decision. The whole family is excited about what a great car it is - exceptionally clean and very well-maintained. I should also say that the manager also went out of his way to make sure that my experience at Fox Lake Toyota was an excellent one. Thank you to John and the manager for taking the time to care. The drive up to Fox Lake is definitely worth it!

I had a simple oil change on my 2004 Sienna and the technician dropped oil all over the manifold. Jason was honest enough to tell me. because the technician didn't even try to clean it up, I now have the overwhelming smell burning oil throughout the cab! My husband and I had set our eyes on either a Hyundai Sonata or a Toyota Corolla which we were looking to buy some time before years end. I was very pleased with this dealership from the first time I walked in. My wife and I were shopping for a truck all day and stopped at this dealer on our way home. It was a half hour after they already closed and we felt welcomed from the moment we walked in. My salesmen, John Ippolito, was very pleasant and not the typical salesmen that swarms all over you. He answered all my questions, gave me brochures and showed us a few trucks outside, in the dark, and just took the time with us even though it was late. It was such a pleasant atmosphere compared to the many hours spent all day at the other dealers that I knew I wanted to give them my business when my wife and I walked out. That was Saturday night and we went back Monday and bought a truck!

John greeted us immediately when we entered the dealership and took us on a test drive. We had narrowed our choice of cars between the Prius and a Chevy Equinox. However after driving the Chevy there was no comparison with the comfort in the Prius. I called John the next day and asked some more questions . We were never felt pressured by him and all of our questions were answered. I went in to the Fox Lake Toyota store because I had seen a couple of trucks on the internet site I wanted to check on.I actually was looking to replace a 2000 Tacoma that fell victim to the frame corrosion buyback plan and I was specifically looking for a 4 cylinder / manual transmission model with 2 wheel drive. These are generally hard to come by, especially before winter.John Ippolito approached me and we discussed what my requirements were for the vehicle. John checked inventory of new vehicles and we discussed bringing in a couple of local trucks for me to check out. Larry from the used vehicle side overheard our conversation and approached John about the availability of a used Tacoma that he had coming in that evening. I agreed to look at that vehicle and asked if John would contact me when it arrived. John called later that evening and we scheduled a test drive for the next morning. The test drive went very well and John said that he really wanted the truck gone over by the service department before the truck would be sold. My feeling on that is the detail given to make sure that the vehicle was in great shape prior to the customer taking delivery is exactly what I wanted to hear. John could have taken the money and ran but he showed interest in making sure that I would be pleased with the end result, not just settle for what was presented.When John called that the truck was ready, I was like a kid at Christmas. The vehicle had been completely gone over and the paint had been buffed to look like new (there had been a few scratches in the clearcoat from the previous owner). I took deliver on that day.Since the delivery, I have been contacted a couple of times to make sure that everything is good. This gives a feeling of true commitment from the people of Fox Lake Toyota that they really care about their customers.Also, I want to comment on the price that I paid for this vehicle. I had been looking for a replacement for my old truck for approximately a week and a half. Everything that I saw prior to this vehicle was anywhere from $1,000 to $1,500 dollars more than what was quoted to begin with from Fox Lake Toyota. I did not feel the need to "beat up" John to get the price that I was willing to pay - I got a good, fair deal right up front. I really appreciate that.

My experience was very satisfying. I walked in, met Bob and told him what I was looking for and what I needed and I didn't have any issues. He got me in the price range I needed and it wasn't the usual car buying nightmare you hear about, I was in, out and very happy. I am very happy but if I were to give any advice or pointers there were a couple things, when I left the car was completely on empty which normally the cars are filled up before you leave the lot (at least that has been my experience). Also I had to come back the next day as the fuse was blown in the outlet (not big deal) just something that could have been caught and the car was sold to me with no car mats, again no big deal it is just the little extra perks that are always nice to have. Oh and one last thing, the cd player does not work properly so I will be scheduling a visit to the service department very soon, I tried it the second day I bought it and there is something wrong with it. Thanks again and I will refer my friends and family to you.

I found the experience to be enjoyable which is hard to do when buying a car I have found in the past. John was very friendly and non pushy which I like, I am more likely to want to deal with someone who is not pressuring me. I felt I got good information and liked the relaxed atmosphere of the dealership. I would say one improvement would be to make sure your website is more up to date as we were looking at 4runners and you guys did have 1 new one which happened to be the model and specs we were looking for, however the website said you had 25 including trail versions. I take some responsibility as I did not call ahead to verify that any of these were actually on the lot, however it woudl be nice to know the inventory was more acurate. In this day in age I think more and more people look at the online inventories before heading out. I know I do. So it worked out, however that would just be a suggestion. Otherwise I thought the overall experience was probably better than my other car purchases in the past. This would be my first Toyota and I would deal with Toyota in the future based off this transaction.

I was initially ignored by other Dealers when I walked into this place until Bob approached. Enjoyed working with Bob. He was pretty much to the point and wanted to get the sale done ASAP. This was both good and bad. He didn't waste my time, but his management did in trying to hammer out some of the final details of the sale. This is an "old-school" dealership where you will have to spend some time haggling for the deal you want. Two things I would have changed: 1. Didn't nead the video for the $600 paint protector after the sale. This was a waste of my valuable time! Also, would have like more info about the extended Gold Certified warranty up front instead of when I walked into the finance department.

Wife and I didn't get the usual B.S. that seems to come with most sales transactions on a big ticket item.John Ippolito comes across as a pretty genuine guy. This was my first time purchasing a car on my own. I did tons of research on my own before I even went into a dealership. I wanted to make sure that I was as informed as I could be. I have been warned about "sleezy" car salesmen and what not, and I didn't want to be taken advantage of. I spent about 10 hours at the Fox Lake dealership over the course of 3 months. They were in constant contact with me, making sure that they were meeting my needs and answering any questions I had. They were patient, informative, and a pleasure to work with. I would recommend Fox Lake Toyota to any of my friends and family. It's been a great learning experience, and I feel confident that I was taken care of and that I got a great deal.

Bob is always very friendly and professional. I have purchased two New 2010 Toyotas from him at Fox Lake Toyota. I had reffered him to a friend loking for a Sienna Mini Van. Bob kept in contact with me trying to help my friend get into a new van.My friend decided to buy a Toyota from a dealer much closer to his home for convenience purposes only.I make it a point to stop by and say hello to Bob each time I am in Fox Lake Toyota for general maintenance and service visits. I have been to many car dealers in the past and walked away from deals that I felt pressured into. That pressured feeling is never one that felt in my dealings with Bob.

This was my first car purchase, and I had been to other dealerships looking at vehicles. None of the others compared to the service I received at Fox Lake Toyota! They were friendly, fun, and knowledgeable! They also provide wonderful service for my vehicle! I only take my car, even for just an oil change, there because I trust them, and I don't feel like they are taking advantage of my lack of knowledge related to cars and services. We decided that we wanted to purchase a new "Green" vehicle due to the fact that my wife's company would pay for almost half of our car payment every month if we did so. We started at a different dealership on a Friday night and after they had no color options, and only one Prius that we could buy, I found Fox Lake's info through a mobile app on my iPhone. At this point it was 7:00pm on a Friday evening, I called them up, talked to Bob and they had what I was looking for and in stock. We quickly left the first dealer, made it to Fox Lake Toyota at 7:58 (they close at 8) and worked the deal. Wegot the car we wanted at a nice price with no haggling. Bob was a good guy, answered all of our questions and went the extra mile whenever he could. I would highly recommend this dealership for your new car needs.

I stopped in to look at the new toyota FJ, They were very helpful they sourced the colors and options and had the Truck delivered the next day, I have purchased many trucks and this was by far the best experience I have ever had, I did not feel like I got rippede off as you usually feel when you walk out of a dealership. I have purchased from RAY, RAYMOND, CARMAX, CLASSIC, ROCKENBACH, JOHN ELWAY, and this was by far my best and friendliest experience, service is excellent and they are always helpful and not pushy. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

I had a great experience at this dealership. Now, I was buying a prius and had to pay msrp so I didn't have to negotiate price but I did get a very fair offer on my trade-in and super deal on my extended warranty. My salesman, John I. was very straightforward and went above and beyond my expectations. He never once tried to push for an upgraded model, or add-on. He didn't try to talk me into another car (like a previous dealership I had worked with) He was very hardworking throughout this process and even answered my phone call after hours. The best trait of this dealership is their laid-back approach. They are always smiling (especially Larry) and friendly and make you feel like you're buying from an honest group. Also, there are free sandwiches and car-washes on Saturdays, nice!

Stopped here when I was shopping for my new camry because the billboards that said lifetime warranty. When I asked to see a copy of the warranty, everyone there started to avoid my request for at least half and hour. When I finally said that I was leaving because of that they showed me 2 papers that discribed thier "warranty". What first got me is that the first page said "This is not Insurance".. The "lifetime warranty" seems to be an agreement with only Fox Lake Toyota that if you do every facotry recomended service, Fox Lake willl repair your car for free. There are so many holes in it that I doubt you would ever get reimbursed. I asked wha would happen if I brought my car in at 5,600 miles for an oil change instead of 5,000, would I still be covered? They said probly not. Another hole. Would this still be honored if management changed or the dealership got new owners???? No answer. I managed to get a copy of the agreement to take home and read. It seams like if there ever was a problem, the company who "administers" it would be responsible for finding a way not to pay instead of paying it. My gut feeling said run. I did.

My wife and I were interested in a 2010 Toyota Venza. We went to 3 different dealerships around the area and did not see anything that we were impressed with. We decided to stop by Fox Lake Toyota one early afternoon to test drive a 2010 Venza. We went into the dealership and saw a red venza being displayed on the showroom floor. My wife and I walked overf to it and look at the msrp price, $28,950. We met up with a salesman and we went and test drove a loaded 2010 black Toyota Venza. When we got back to the dealership, we told the salesman that we were interested in the red venza on the show room floor. I asked my wife, the msrp on that vehicle was $28,950 correct? She said yes, almost automatically the salesman cut in and said I think that this venza' msrp is $32,750. I said that cannot be because I know what price I read. We went over to the car and look at the data sheet again, and I could not believe it, the msrp for that car now showed $32,750. I looked at the window where the datasheet for that car was located and there was some tape left behind from the datasheet that someone at the dealership removed while my wife and I were test driving the black venza. I called salesman out on this, he obviuosly denied it. I asked him if he really wanted to take that stance and he said that there was no way that they would do that. So I decided to let him look at my phone, I took a picture of that msrp datasheet that was mmmon the red venza that was in their show room about five minutes before we went out to the parking lot to go for a test drive in the black venza. You should have seen his face. I immediately said you know what, you are a liar and a crook. Who changed the msrp sheet? I know you did not do it because you went on a test drive with us. He did not answer. He told me and my wife to leave before he called the cops. I told to go ahead and call the cops because I am planning on calling the channel 3 news to report what had happened here today. My wife wazs gettin.g upset and a little embarrassed so I decided to let it go and walk oujt of Fox Lake Toyota Forever.

i first bought a malibu from them and it turned out to be a lemon because it had a front end collision they tried to hide so they put me into a 2005 toyota camry and said it was a perfect vehicle and nothing goes wrong with them plus its backed with a 100000 mile warranty. well as soon as the car hit 100000 the transmission went out and it had to be replaced and now the maintenance light is on and its had an oil change and everything. they sold me a junk car. do not buy from them they will rip you off!

Greetings - My experience with Fox Lake Toyota, thanks to Bob and those that assisted him, restored my faith in dealerships as a whole and kept me from moving away from the Toyota brand. Briefly, I originally started with Libertyville Toyota who did not call me back when they said they would and essentially treated a loyal customer so horribly I cannot imagine how they treat new customers (I personally purchased 4 vehicles over the years from Libertyville Toyota not to mention the numerous cars from friends and family based on my experience). Thanks to their lack of customer support I started to look at Honda's.My wife, however, had introduced me to Gabby at Fox Lake Toyota who in turn directed us to Bob Vrakas. Bob maintained contact with me by calling/emailing me as he said he would. He went the 'extra mile' as he himself test drove a vehicle I had doubts about. In the end, he was able to provide to me a Rav 4 4x4 at a reasonable price and I was able to turn in my old 2005 Highlander and become a fan of Fox Lake Toyota. Trust me, I am a very loyal customer when treated well and everyone at Fox Lake were very friendly and take customer service to a new level. I will be directing all of my friends and family not only to Fox Lake Toyota but especially to Bob Vrakas. He made us feel like we were his only priority and provided to us what we needed/wanted. Is there no Customer Service in the World today? Certainly not at Fox Lake Toyota. I have never had a more horrible experience buying a car. I will say the car is not them problem it was just the complete lack of care and concern from the Salesman to the Sales Mgr. I really wish we could go back to a time when Customer Service really meant something. I would gladly pay a little more for extraordinary service. I will not recommend Fox Lake Toyota to anyone.
