Had to take my mustang there for a recall and they were very helpful this time. Ended up buying a vehicle from them later on. They weren't pushy, took me months to finally get something. Were very helpful and patient during the whole process.

Trey was the best salesman we've ever experienced at a car dealership, and we've bought many cars/trucks over the years. He greeted us right away and was very pleasant and polite. After Trey learned of our needs/wants in a new vehicle he went to work quick. He found us a vehicle in what seemed no time and it met all of our needs/wants. Again, if you are looking to buy a new truck or car, go to Gary Smith Ford and ask for Trey. Because of our experience with Trey, we will definitely be a returning customer. He welcomed us into the GSF family and we assured him we'd be back again. Tell Trey what you want and he'll do the rest, because he's the best!!!! Way to go, Gary Smith Ford, you got yourself an asset when you got Trey...well done, well done!

Highly upset with the repair service my son received on his Fiesta. He is heading off to college in a couple weeks and wanted to have “The works” done to his car. First thing listed on your website in “The works” is tire rotation. That did not happen. Third service listed says “vehicle checkup” which I assume would be a safety check. Well we knew there was a brake light out and the service department did not fix it or even point it out to us and acted shocked that we asked them about it. I am assuming that all my son got was an overpriced oil change. Now I have to take his vehicle down the road to another mechanic to get the service he expected through your business completed. Highly upset especially since he bought the car from your business. Unacceptable. You have lost our business.

I purchased a 2014 Ford Fusion from Jeremy Bullock. Long story short my father it's a car salesman he passed away 5 years ago. I know the ins and outs. Jeremy Bullock took care of me like I was family! My father couldn't have given me a better deal! You certainly hit the nail on the head when you hired him! Thank you!

I worked with Earl Youngblood and John Knight to buy our used "12 Explorer. What a great group of guys! Easy to talk to and negotiate with. No messing around and straight to the point on the deal. I appreciate this so I didn't have to spend hours upon hours at the dealer...done that before. They even stuck around a good while after closing time to make sure that I got everything I needed for the deal with no sense of rushing me out the door. Would definitely recommend them and will hopefully be coming back for my next car deal.

My wife and I stopped by the used car lot at Gary Smith Ford in FWB. We saw a Jeep that caught our eye and wanted to know more about it. David Sweeny came out and answered all of my questions and then some, he was very knowledgeable about the Jeep. We went in and David got the price of the Jeep and the keys and we went for a ride. My wife and I really liked the Jeep. I am not the kind of customer who makes a decision without thinking about it. He brought his sales manager ( John Knight) over to talk to me but I explained that we were not taking the Jeep home that day. I could tell that they were disappointed but they understood and respected me and my decision. I went back with the intent of buying the Jeep but I first had to 'haggle' with David and John. Once we came to a deal that we both felt good about, I bought the Jeep. David had the Jeep cleaned and it looked great! I appreciate the fact that they respected my position and let the deal flow at my speed istead of at the speed that they probably wanted. My wife and I are very satisfied!!!

Decided to get off the GM train, for a FORD finally, and loved the entire experience at Gary Smith Ford. Our salesman Jeremey "Bull" Bullock was excellent. Easy to work with, had great product knowledge, and worked a great deal for us. From the initial contact, thru financing, everything was up front, and easy to understand...great family dealership. HIGHLY recommended. GM had hand on the entire process.

Within 30 seconds of arriving at this dealership, I was welcomed and received help in looking for a vehicle. Jeremy Bullock helped me try out the Ford Focus, Ford Fiesta, and the Honda Civic. He was very helpful and informative on every vehicle. I chose the Ford Fiesta and I'm very pleased with my choice. John Crane was the next person I was with for all the crazy paperwork and signing. He too made my experience at Gary Smith Ford very enjoyable.

this review is to inform people why not to sign a blank purchase agreement. i bought a 2010 f150 4x4 truck from this dealership (Gary Smith Ford,Ft Walton Beach,Fl.) just before closing on a Sat. night. i was informed that i could take the truck home that night and being late and on a weekend, the finances would have to be taken care of monday. we agreed that my payments would not be over $500., the interest would not be over 12%, at a term of not more than 5yrs. this was fair due to the fact that my credit score is low from having max limits on my credit cards. i have no bad credit and everything i owe is being paid on time every month. and i seldom pay the min. two weeks passed when i go concerned. i called them and was informed that i needed to come by the dealership to do the final papers. when i got there nothing was correct except the payments being below $500. the term is 7yrs at 19% interest. making my $23000. truck a $49000. truck when paid in full. i questioned this new contract and demanded it be reversed to the agreement we had or let me have my trade in back to drive home and null it all. at that time i was told that its a done deal with my signing the blank forms and i was stuck with it, like it or not. now where i come from, your only as good as your word. in this case you can not trust this dealership what so ever in my book and i'd never refer them to anyone. now for the rest of this story. the truck had a miss fire upon gassing on it harder than normal. while i was there, the service people checked it out and found no problem. i was told i would have to leave the truck with them for several days to find the problem. i agreed if they would let me have a loaner to drive. well they do not loan cars period, even though i had just bought it from them, and i had no warranty at all on the low mile truck. in other words, you own whatever you buy as soon as it leaves the lot and they could care less about fixing anything on it. having only one auto, i was forced driving it home. the truck has a weak coil pack, i have learned, and cost me $125. to have fixed. later i found that this truck was in a wreck in the front and its eating the tries up. the parts used to repair the truck was sawed on to make fit, the ford in the grill is pealing, and i'll have to buy a set of tires very soon. also repair the problem from that also. then i learn the book value is only $22000. now i ask, would you put your trust or money in some place like that? just be careful folks. people are not trust worthy as some of us honest people.

I dealt mainly with Jim Kempton and I have to say I am more than happy with the outcome. Not having the best credit he and the team at Gary Smith went above and beyond to help get me in to the very car I wanted the most. In a business that is mainly about the sale and making money, Jim Kempton and the team put this mantra aside and did everything they could to make this happen for me. They gave me a chance and I will forever be grateful. I would highly recommend them to anyone in need or looking for a vehicle.

Jeremy Bullock helped me with my first car experience. I wanted a Honda Accord 4 door but he suggested a Honda Accord 2 door with less mileage which was great. I couldn't get that car but then he showed us a 2016 Ford Focus that had barely any miles on it and would cost the same amount as the used Honda Accord 2 door and I am grateful to have had him work with me.

My parents bought a brand new 2016 Ford Escape last weekend at Scary Stiff (Gary Smith) Ford. Less than 24 hours later it broke down at the busiest intersection in town, stranding a 64, 73, and 75 year old in the Florida heat waiting for a tow truck. All the staff has done is cite the Florida Lemon Laws and inform them of everything they are not entitled to. I am pretty sure most dealerships would offer something to repeat customers and 50 year Ford owners to help assure them that the dealer stands by its products. All they have received is unacceptable rude comments from the "General Manager" treating them like they have done something wrong. I don't care if my parents were the most rude people on Earth (they most certainly are far from it), the way they were treated by the GM was beyond imaginable for a place that makes it money from public sales. In the end, the warranty covered the repairs, but nothing will cover the lost value in the vehicle due to major maintenance being performed so early. If you like a dealership who believes in the minimum and treating you like dog poo as soon as the transaction is over then this is your dealership. If you want a dealer who is going to treat you like someone who just spent 10's of thousands of dollars at their store and will go beyond the minimum to make you happy, STAY AWAY from Gary Smith Ford.

I am completely happy with my pre-owned car purchase from Gary Smith Ford on Friday, May 27, 2016. Thanks to my very caring salesman, Chris Smith, who was determined to help me find a car I loved at a price I could afford, I feel like the luckiest woman in Fort Walton Beach! When I was still car shopping and drove into the Gary Smith Ford parking lot in my 2004 Hyundai Santa Fe, I was met immediately by Chris. He asked me what type of car I was looking for and my approximate price range. Chris did everything humanly possible to sell me a car I was looking to buy at a price I could afford. After spending what seemed like several hours with Chris over a two-day consecutive period, I felt we had become friends, and he made it possible for me to purchase the car of my dreams at a price I could afford. After the sale, Chris promised me he would be there for me if I had questions about my car or needed assistance in any way. Even though the sale was completed, I made an appointment with Chris this morning to help me set up my cell phone so I could receive calls through my car, and he took care of it for me. He also made it possible for me to transfer music from my cell phone to the speakers in my car. Today was Memorial Day, and Gary Smith Ford appeared to be very busy with customers; yet, Chris took the time to help me program my cell phone and showed me how to add an address to my navigation system. Chris Smith made me feel that I was the only customer who mattered during the time I spent with him helping me purchase the car of my dreams. I don't know how he can do that and still make money, but I highly recommend Chris Smith at Gary Smith Ford if you are looking to purchase an new or pre-owned car. Although Chris knew he wouldn't make a huge commission on me, he treated me like a VIP customer; and nothing else mattered than I purchased a car from Gary Smith Ford and left as a very happy customer. I am a very happy customer of Gary Smith Ford and highly recommend Chris Smith as your salesman.

Stay away from this dealer if you want the benefit of a Ford factory program as they do not participate. Example is the Ford advertised Works oil change. The do not honor it and Ford will not send the advertised rebate. They are a non participating dealer. Also poor service attitude. They do not answer their phones. They eat lunch at their desks while they talk with you. Rude place, poor everything. Only dealer for miles as they own other dealerships. Terrible place to do business. Home of expensive oil change, like $70. If you are from out of town, like a snowbird, the service is even worse. The new cars have secondary price stickers for unnecessary items like pinstripes that make their cars sell for over Ford sticker price.

I came by just to look at a car I was interested in, one that I have always wanted but could never afford in the past. By the end of the day I owned my dream car. My salesperson Rich Gafford was very friendly and helpful and answered all my questions HONESTLY. He didn't treat me like a clueless female like I have dealt with in the past at other dealerships, and I appreciated that. He was also willing to bend over backwards and do whatever it took to get me in that car, that day. The car was in excellent shape for being used and the price was unbelievably good. I couldn't pass it up. The finance manager John Knight was also extremely helpful and humorous and very patient with my questions as he explained every single document in great detail to make sure I understood everything before signing them. Both of these guys did everything they could to get me into my dream car, they took the time to make sure everything was in order and perfectly executed and there were no unpleasant surprises. They gave me a very reasonable price on my trade-in. I am more than satisfied. Rich even put some gas in the car for me before I left, and took a picture of me with his own cameraphone and sent to me, even replied to a question I had after hours. I did not expect any of that and it was very much appreciated. The entire experience was very smooth and expedited quickly. I would definitely recommend the services of Gary Smith Ford, Rich Gafford and John Knight to all my family, friends, and clients. You guys have earned a loyal customer. As a local small business owner, the word certainly will get around town how wonderful this place is and what a treasure they have in their employees. Give those two fellas a raise. :) Sincerely, a very happy customer!! I love my new hot rod convertible!!. Margaret Giles, at Magnolia Salon, Fort Walton Beach, FL.

James Collette sold us out Certified Pre-Owned 2013 Ford Explorer. He did an excellent job, which made the car buying process quick and smooth. I have no complaints about his customer service. My only complaint is that there were a few minor problems with the car that we noticed within a day of buying it (notbing that effected the engine). James was quick to take care of those problems, but the service department was extremely slow and did not keep us updated on when the special part replacements were coming in. Other than the slow service department, which had nothing to do with our salesman, our experience was wonderful with James, and would recommend him to anyone that wanted to purschase a Ford.

I went in to look at trucks to purchase for my husband, who was deployed at the time, as a surprise. I walked in and the exact truck I've been searching for was on the showroom floor! It was meant to be. Tyler Colonna was my salesman and he took me for a test drive and was very knowledgable about the vehicle. I came back in and sat down with him and worked out some numbers we were both happy with and started the paperwork. As I said before, it was a surprise Christmas present for my husband and everyone at the dealership were such a huge help in providing the right steps to keeping this under wraps. He returned home on December 23 and I gave it to him on Christmas Eve and it couldn't have gone better. Tyler called to see how it all went and it was fun to tell the story and show the video. We also took the truck back for a full detail cleaning after the new year, compliments of Gary Smith detail department. Great experience, great service and a great vehicle!!! Thank you to everyone involved at the dealership and especially to Tyler!!!

Besides getting my insurance situation handled, this was the quickest car transaction I've ever had. Lex helped right from pulling into the lot to check everything out, to right when I pulled out. Beautiful Ford American car with a great rate. Lex was very helpful and so was the finance rep, I believe his name was John. I'm Glad we stopped at Ford!

After searching for a new car for quite a while, I decided to purchase my car from here. From the very first time I went here, I worked with the same salesperson, Lex. He was by far the car salesman that was the best at his job. He listened to what I wanted, suggested a multitude of different cars, and made sure to show me all of the different features each car provided as well as helping me see the differences. Once I decided more specifically which car I wanted, a Ford Explorer, he showed me the ones they had on the lot. I told him what features I liked about each one, and he called me whenever cars came in that he thought I would like. As luck would have it, he found a Ford Explorer that had everything I wanted and a even a little more. He also listened to my price range and did not pressure me into paying more than I wanted to. He was truly able to find me the perfect car for an affordable price. I would suggest him to anyone.

Let me start by saying, like a lot of people, I don't like going to car dealerships (this was my first new vehicle in 13 years). I went in having an idea of what used truck I wanted after shopping online. Unfortunately, the truck was gone, but my salesman, Leroy Worthen, was incredibly helpful and hooked me up with another one. Leroy and James Collette, sales consultant, worked to try to me better financing and a lower price on the vehicle. I left with a Ford Certified F150 for a price I don't think I could have got anywhere else. I will definitely purchase my future vehicles from Gary Smith Ford and I need to personally recommend Leroy and James. They made my car buying experience a pleasant one.

We have bought three trucks from Lex over the past two years. When we met Lex we knew we were in good hands and were dealing with someone who would always look out for our best interests. The trucks have all been excellent in performance and quality. When we had one small issue our concerns were met immediately and a meeting was scheduled by Lex with Service Advisor Drew Colon, and Gary Smith as well. Our problem was addressed and solved in quick order. I would highly recommend this dealership and Lex to anyone looking for a vehicle new or used. We will not buy another vehicle from any other dealership or any other salesperson. Thanks again to Lex and the whole team at Gary Smith Ford in Ft. Walton Beach. WE WILL BE BACK!!!!LessEmployees dealt with:Lex McLelland

To begin with I usually never write reviews. I ONLY read reviews to get an idea of what i'm getting myself into just as everyone else. However, this recent experience with Gary Smith Ford in Ft Walton Beach required me to make an exception and write a review. I'm a first time car buyer and this first time experience was nothing less than great. The two employees that helped me were the saleswoman Theresa and Steve in financing. Theresa was very attentive. I work in the service industry and I deal with thousands of people a year so I have a great deal of understanding on how to deal with guest and costumers. She understood my situation and preferences and she was very instrumental in ensuring that I would be leaving that same day in a new vehicle. She is the sweetest kindest person you'd ever want to do business with. Prior to arriving at Gary Smith Ford I read the reviews about the Dealership. Noticed a lot of good reviews about Steve. After my experience, those reviews did not do him any justice. He's a really great businessman and really really works to get you the best possible situation available. I thanked him a great deal but I don't think I thanked him enough. Readers if you are skeptical about this Dealership, having second thoughts or simply on the verge, take my advice and go. They will take good care of you. -Darryl

From the minute my husband and I walked into the dealership, I knew we had finally found the right place to buy a car. Every staff member that helped us was very courteous. Tyler Colonna, our sales represennative, was particularly knowledgeable about the vehicle we were interested in, which was a 2010 Toyota Corolla. We had expressed our interest in the vehicle on the phone prior to our visit, and when we arrived, he had the vehicle ready for us to test drive. Mr. Colonna was very friendly and made certain that we walked away with a car that we not only would love, but could also afford as well. In the past, I had always feared the reliability of the vehicles I've owned, but with this car, those fears are gone. This dealership takes particular care of every vehicle that comes onto their lot by checking and replacing all the fluids (e.g., oil, powering steering fluid, etc.), not to mention they put brand New batteries in their cars as well; quite a reassurance for customers like us! We couldn't be more satisfied with our decision to purchase our vehicle through Gary Smith Ford!

We only came in to look, but ended up purchasing a ford and would never look back. In fact I traded my BMW in, bale cause this truck was better quality. And the service here was an A++ more than BMW itself. Thank you for the amazing service Tyler and Ford, keep it up.

I was in the process of looking for a new car that I needed for work. I live in Panama City and had started at the dealerships in that area. I really didn't find anything that I loved that paired up with a salesman that I wanted to work with. I know I can be a little difficult to work with but when I pulled up to Gary Smith Ford in Fort Walton Beach, I met James Collette. He was a new salesman (this was actually his first day on the "sales floor"). He was very patient with running in and out to get keys for half the cars on the lot so I could sit in this one and test drive that one. He was very knowledgeable in answering the many questions that I had about each of the cars and the few questions he could not answer, he was very quick to find someone that could. I love the car I bought from James at Gary Smith Ford and even though there are other Ford service departments closer to my home, I plan on returning for all of my service work as well. Between my husband and myself, we have owned vehicles from just about every manufacturer but the treatment we received from Gary Smith Ford from the moment we drove on the lot in our 2010 F-150 to the moment we drove off the lot in our new 2016 Focus ST has made us a Ford Family. This is the 2nd vehicle that we have financed through Ford Credit. Our credit rating was not as great this go around due to job losses about 4 years ago that caused some crdit card payment issues. We were a little nervous about the financing on this car. We were never made to feel like anything other than top notch customers. We were able to finance this car through Ford Credit also and got a GREAT interest rate dispite our little credit blunder a few years ago. THANK YOU FORD CREDIT and thank you GARY SMITH FORD for a job well done and a great buying experience.

Over the last 10 weeks we have had serious problems with various Ford and RV service departments leaving us with the feeling that "service is a thing of the past:. Gary Smith's service department has disproved this feeling.Upon arriving in Navarre from Alabama during our cross country trip, the dashboard display read "transmission failed, service now". We waited until Monday morning and having read the reviews for Gary Smith's service department, we called and spoke to Andy Tompitch, the Assistant Service Manager who told us to bring it in and they would take a look at it. We had it towed to the dealer and Andy said they would inspect it either that afternoon or Tuesday morning. Andy then arranged for a rental car that afternoon and a ride over to Hertz to pick it up. We had no sooner gotten back to our Rv when Andy called saying the transmission computer had failed and the car would be repaired as soon as the part came in.The part came in Wednesday morning and we picked up the car before noon at no expense to us.Andy has restored our faith in the service industry and should be commended for his efforts on behalf of his customers.Ron & Cathy Davison

I bought a Ford SHO from a dealership in Texas, from eBay, and had it delivered. Within 6 days the service engine light came on. It was some wacky esoteric little-known trouble code. Andy called Ford and figured out the issue within a short period of time. Turns out it was going to be a major engine repair. Fortunately I had an extended repair warranty, BUT WHAT ANDY DID, that 80% of service people wouldn't have done when the warranty company balked at having to pay for a $3800 repair, Andy went to bat for me far beyond the call of duty and successfully resolved all the issues. It was that sort of customer service that people took for granted 25 years ago, but rarely see these days. He takes great pride in his work and his treatment of his customers.

I was on vacation with my family and experienced car trouble on the way to Florida. I took my car in to have it checked out. The resort we were staying at was about 30 minutes away and I was prepared to wait in the lounge while they worked on the car. Instead of spending hours in the lounge, they took me back to my resort so I could enjoy my time at the beach. To top it off, they even delivered my car back to me when they were finished!! My wife and I arrived at the dealership ready to buy a new Ford Explorer. We were greated by Jason Smith. He was very rushed and rude. He wouldn't let me talk, he complained about being low manned and seemed like he wanted to push me out of there. I tried to accommodate him and offered for him to have our trade in looked at while I test drove theirs. He said no. He didn't even go on the drive with us. When we returned he made us wait while our car was appraised. He came back with a number that was rediculous. They tried to rob us of our trade in. When I counter offered he seemed offended. He was very argumentative and talked to me like I was an idiot. Well smart guy... I bought the new 2015 limited addition explorer for 41K (3,000 less) out the door with my trade in. FROM WORLD FORD IN Pensacola... I sincerely hope your dealership focuses on customer service training. People like you are why a lot of people hate buying cars... I recently had to take my Explorer into Gary Smith Ford for repairs after a long and tiring ordeal of watching my car get destroyed by a valet driver and then "fixed" by some horrible shop. When I brought it into Gary Smith Ford (I was concerned about how it was running post repairs) not only did they find pieces missing from my engine, but they also discovered various body repairs that had been botched as well. They treated me with such respect and honestly cared about what I had been through. Drew Colon and Jerry West both went above and beyond to make sure I was taken care of. They even went so far as to contact the gentleman who "fixed" my car previously and not only let him know of the damage he had caused but also what he had put me through. I cannot say enough good things about Gary Smith Ford, especially Drew and Jerry. My family and I are so grateful for all their hard work!

After being transferred back and forth for price quotes, given the run around with appointment times, and being told to drop my car off in the morning and someone would "try" to get to it sometime throughout the day, I finally gave up and called Gary Smith Ford. Andy, the Assistant Service Manager, told me exactly what the price would be, and said that I could come in at any time and they would get me out quickly. Dear Mr. Fred Kratt,I've just received your obvious pre-printed chain letter to attract me and/or a friend to do more business with you. It's apparent that you took no time to realize whom you were sending this letter to when you signed it. You must have forgotten how poorly you treated my wife and I after purchasing two vehicles in the same day. As I think back you really did nothing but introduce yourself and show us some vehicles, as where Gary Smith himself is who chased me down as I walked out the door and made "both" deals happen. He seen my attractive record of purchasing brand new vehicles every two years or so with no problem and how repetitive my business with you could be. After experiencing your rudeness, disrespect and being unprofessional with service AFTER the purchases I have not step one foot in your establishment nor will I ever recommend your services to a friend and/or business associate. I will continue to share my experience of how disrespectful you treated my wife and I after the deal was done. To trigger your memory here are some of the key factors; you accused my wife of being a liar after a dispute when she was only following YOUR instruction pertaining to maintenance on her new vehicle. As for me, when I addressed the issue at hand in person the brown nosing, desperately wanting my sale attitude was no longer found in your presentation. Instead, I quickly realized that you were merely offering empty promises to achieve your goal. A facade that stood true to the disgusting stereotype that a car salesman must prove otherwise that you obviously did not. To finish off the horrible experience you insult me by stating, "I hardly made any money off of this deal," even after not purchasing not one Ford vehicle but two in the same day! Then if that wasn't enough you shook my hand and said, "This is business and not personal".Well, Mr. Kratt I hope this informative letter will open up the eyes of your employer to see what kind of salesman they have representing their company and what poor character you portray to potentially loyal customers. Please don't be mistaken, this letter does not address Gary Smith Ford as a whole but to you and you alone. Gary Smith himself did everything in his power to ensure my wife and I where happy with our purchase. It is now apparent that you were merely along for the ride. At the very least I hope this makes you think twice before you send another BOGAS letter to someone whom you think you deserve thier business. For the record Fred, this was personal and not business! Since then World Ford in Pensacola has acquired all my business and servicing including my two additional purchased Fords. Sincerely,Craig L. Swanson

Service advisor told me to come get my car now and never bring my car back to "his" dealership. Poor fella felt disrespected because I disagreed with his diagnosis of some issues under warranty. They also performed a lackluster wheel alignment. Alignment was out because of a strut that was bad (mileage is under 7000). When I was given the print out of the before and after, all of the specs where on the extreme of the tolerances...instead of aligning them all to spot on, the dealer only modified one measurement. Car still feels out of alignment. In addition, when I dropped the car off, I had to use the shuttle. The driver made sure to tell me that the shuttle was only a courtesy and I should find my own way back from Eglin.

My experience with Gary Smith Ford was great as I have purchased from many Ford dealerships across the south. Our salesman Tanner Lampert was awesome, very patient making sure I looked at and test drove the 3 different style vehicles I was interested in to make sure I was able to get everything I was looking for. In the end in making the decision between 2 different Explorer Sports he lined out all the differences in going with the 2014 or 2015 model. After deciding I changed my mind once after I thought I made my final decision, he made the change without stressing at all. The dealership stayed open late to get everything completed and fully go over everything on the vehicle. I have owned many Ford vehicles in the past and have had dealings with many dealerships. Gary Smith Ford by far surpassed all by making the experience great from all aspects from shopping, sales, negotiations, and the finance dept; everyone was fantastic. It is great to be able to share a good experience and hope that anyone interested in buying goes to Gary Smith Ford.

We had some experience with the dealer through the body shop and some work done on my wife's car last year. That experience led me to believe I could expect decent treatment if they reflected the entire organization.Went looking to replace a vehicle that I lost in an accident. Was looking for a hatchback and had eye on Focus hatch. Was met at curb by Lee who introduced himself, asked some questions to determine my interest and proceeded to show me and my wife some of the Focus models. When he determined what i was trying to replace, he recommended I look at the C-Max. I had seen it on-line, but wasn't sure it was what I wanted. After seeing the features and driving it, I was impressed. I left with a good feeling about Lee, the dealership and the car. Although it too a while for me to be able to make the purchase, he never pushed and was courteous through the entire process.Long story short...I purchase the C-Max and so far it is everything I thought it would be.

My great experience began with Tucker Anderson welcoming me to the Service Center this morning. He was extremely friendly, polite, and professional despite the center being short a person checking customers in for their appointments. He did a very thorough job explaining the options I had for various services recommended at this mileage. He saved me money by subtracting the costs associated with anything I had recently had done for my automobile. Throughout the time I was at the dealership, he kept me informed of their progress and any issues they found that might need to be addressed. The rear brake pads needed replacing and he accompanied me into the billing office to be sure they set up an appointment for me ASAP to get that taken care of. He explained in advance, the estimated costs for today's visit and also gave me an estimate for the brake pads. Every step of the way, I knew exactly what to expect. I found the price for the quality of the work done to be an exceptional value. Tucker has a terrific attitude. I appreciate his positive outlook, even when he is under pressure. This is the second time I have brought my car to Gary Smith Ford for servicing since moving back to this area the end of 2013. Both experiences have been excellent. I highly recommend Gary Smith Ford for their superb friendly customer service, their professional expertise and exemplary quality of work, and for their reasonable prices for parts and labor.

I got one at Hub City not at list price, premium package, shadow gray GT. NOW...Years later I give GSF another shot A FEW WEEKS AGO. A+ for trying to get me financed at a bad time. Not a credit issue, budget issues. Wanted the 2001 Ford 4x4. Was told by salesperson that they don't hold cars for anyone. Better buy ASAP. Okay...the Ford 4x4 I wanted was held for someone else for days without a "hold sign" hanging on the mirror. Wouldn't sell it to me. They apparently do hold cars for SOMEBODY. So I ended up just paying cash for a Colorado 4x4. The morning before I picked it up I emailed them that a tire was low. PLEASE attend to that before I buy it. Made the assumption that they did. Stupid on me for that, lol. Out in the "ice storm" I pulled a huge nail out and plugged the tire MYSELF. (Fortunately I keep a plug kit, a little air pump, AND A FREAKING ARCTIC PARKA in my truck). Okay...I could sugar coat all this and lie and be totally sweet but I've been truthful. But, and it's a big BUT. I did see much improvement over the past GSF I've experienced. No arrogance or thumbing of the nose like from the past because they knew they could sell some airman a car at a high price and didn't need my business. Shannon Pangburn is a gem, Mark Gudinez, and Tanner (I hope I've got your name right Tanner, can't find your card) were all very nice and wonderful to work with and really tried to help. Kind of glad now that the financing didn't work out. Nice to have that clear title. Also thanks to John Crane for extreme effort with the finance issue... So, I apologize if I was too truthful. But I really liked the improved attitude and kindness I experienced there. I have a new 2013 Nissan I bought in June in P'cola so not in the market for a new car now. But in the future, YES, I would consider GSF an option for another car. And I would recommend GSF to others now.

I am a lifelong resident of Fort Walton Beach, born and raised. Over the years I have owned several Ford F150s, a Ford Ranger and a couple of Mazdaspeed3s. Unfortunately, I have never been successful purchasing a vehicle from Gary Smith Ford until April 30 2013. I saw a 2013 Ford Focus (black with manual tranny) online and went by to test drive it. I met up with Mr. Jim Kempton, who right off the bat seemed Iike a low pressure regular guy. Found out later he was ex military. Jim took me out in the Focus. It was then that I realized it was an ST!!! I had no idea what a Ford Focus ST was and was sort of intimidated by the options and potential sticker. I enjoyed the car and told Jim it was too much car for me but I would be interested to see what kind of deal they could make. I did not have a trade so I knew the deal should be easy, but I have had my share of dealership experiences over the years to know to expect the unexpected. Jim knew all I wanted was a black manual Focus, but informed me the Focus ST is part of the Ford World Team (formerly SVT) and that it was low production and that means no incentives, no rebates, and sticker is the price. He said he was going to see what kind of deal he could get me. Before he left me and headed to the tower, I essentially said, "Jim before you go, I just want to tell you that if you give XYZZY price, you have the deal." He looked at me with very little confidence and said he thinks it will not happen. Literally 5 minutes later, he comes back and says, "congrats you just bought a Focus ST!!" And it had the ST3 package!! Fully loaded!! I got the car nearly at dealer invoice plus dealer fee!! I was floored with the experience. He then gave me a full tutorial on the myfordtouch and the Microsoft synch and had the car detailed. I was there for maybe 90 minutes total!! Incredible experience. If you are going to buy a Ford at Gary Smith in FWB, if you don't deal with Jim Kempton, you are messing up. He is a top notch, low pressure, regular guy that has a calm demeanor and will sell you a car and you will be happy. Thank you Jim!! I love my new Focus ST!!

After looking online for a car almost a month, Shannon with the internet department at Gary Smith Ford made contact with me regarding a search I conducted on their lot. I drove 1 1/2 hours to this dealership due to her assistance online. I found the vehicle to be as described and ready to be test driven as promised. Marcus was the sales person on site that assisted my wife and myself. Marcus was very knowledgeable and showed us several more vehicle in our price range to insure we were happy with our vehicle choice. The entire purchasing process for relaxing and easy. I will recommend and return to this dealership for future vehicle purchases.

I have been buying or leasing from Gary Smith Ford for the past fifteen years. I am a retired Maj/General (USAF) and only do business with professional organizations. Gary Smaith meets thie criteria. The sales consultant "The Greek" is a pleasure to deal with & makes the transaction pain free. I also use their service Dept to maintain my vechicle and want to mention Andy as the leader of this fine Department. I will keep doing business with Gary Smith as long as they continue to maintain these standards of excellence!!!!

My wife and I have been looking for a new car and I did alot of research online. After looking at all that we wanted and decidingbetween the Explorer or the Pathfinder, we choose the Explorer. It has the space we wanted and the tech stuff for me. Gary Smith Fordand more especially, Steve Alford gave me the best car buying experience that I ever had. Steve was not pushy at all like other carsales people that I dealt with in the past and everybody else worked really easy with us to make sure we got the best deal. Steveexplained everything about the car as well. I give Steve 5 stars. Also, the finance guy (can't remember the name) was very easy going and explained everything that I was signing very well too. Very satisfied customer and may come back in the future for another car.

I needed a new car because I will be traveling between college, work, and home soon. My current Ford Ranger was a 1996 model and only managed about 18 miles per gallon. As we searched Crestview and Fort Walton for a good deal on a car, none of the salesmen ever asked our price range. The salesmen simply went inside and came back with an estimate based on the price tag on the car. They did not want to go down on their prices. When we went to Gary Smith Ford, Steve greeted us and asked what kind of car we were looking for. He recommended the Ford Fiesta for the gas mileage. The price was roughly 18000 and he asked us what our range was. We said around 16000 and he recommended a 2012 new Ford Focus which the price tag was 17000 on. We asked if he could bring it down to 16000 and he actually went to his manager and asked. The manager said he could do 16500 and we bought it. Thats 500 dollars more for me to spend on gas instead of the car itself. The car drives great and everything functions the way it is meant to.

He got me financed with a great car that fit my needs. I will definately recommend thid dealership and more importantly the salesman who provided such outstanding service.

First, I called to see if a specific auto was on the lot, and I spoke with Jason Smith and he returned my call in a very short time frame stating they had 2 of what I was looking for. When I arrived I met with Jason and he had a positive attitude which I liked. He showed me the trucks I wanted to look at and test drive. He seemed very knowledgeable on the items he talked about that were installed on the truck. We went inside to see what kind of deal we can make. For the type of truck that it is, I ended up paying a little more than I wanted too. For that reason I rated the price as GOOD. Other than the price, my experience was great.

Well to begin with, he when I was riding around you'r new car lot , I stopped and got out of my car to look at the 2013 escape (green)and since that being my favorite color I got out of my car and was looking at it , then Dean Allerheiligen approched me and introduced himself like a gentleman, and started to talk about the car and told me to park my car so I did ,we walked over to the car (escape) and we talked, so he said ok I will go and get the keys, i said ok then he was explaining all about the features in and out, and before you know it he drove to a lot and showed me the dash etc. and said go ahead drive it so I did and i said I will only ride it around the lot he said ok, he wasn't pushy at all very laid backand very patient, so we went back to ford and spent time talking what options the basic had and the se had and didn't push towardthe more expensive one,so I was trying to push him down on price and he came down some ,today 11/29/2012 my son charles came with me and he did the same for him going over all the features and my Son took a test ride , came back hagled some molre till we were comfortable with the price and small talk in betweeen, so I bought the se escape today, I would give Dean 5 star rating as a salseman, and also the biller I didn't know his name, he as well a 5 star rating , I would reccomen anyone going to Gary Smith Ford to ask for Dean Allerheiligen .Sincerely Carol A Petrillo

I special ordered a new 2013 C-Max hybrid with a couple of dealer installed options. One of these options was a remote starter, the other was a "cargo organizer package". I was called on Oct 3rd saying my car had arrived and was ready for pickup. I bought the car and later realized the remote start hadn't been installed. I called them and they had me take back the car the next morning to have it installed. They said it would be a 2 to 4 hour job. After waiting at the dealership for nearly 5 hours it turns out they weren't even close to being done, and that I would have to come back later that day. I got a call later saying that they would have to keep the car over the weekend to install it and that I could have the car back Monday.Monday I go to pick up the car and see that the antenna for the remote start was placed in the windshield rather than the back glass. It looked terribly out of place and was a huge eyesore. I also was told that the remote start didn't work and that I was expected to take it back at a later date so they could apply a patch to make it work. Then I discover that they didn't even install the right remote start system!I asked for a refund for the remote start and they agreed. Two days later they remove the remote start and scratch the interior of my new car in the process, and left adhesive on the windshield from the antenna. The cargo organizer package was also the wrong item so they agreed to refund that as well. They had previously informed me that I was due a partial refund for my registration since I transferred a tag but paid for a new one. So I am expecting refunds for the remote starter, the cargo package, and the registration. Several days later I contact Gary Smith Ford to inquire about the refund. They tell me I have to contact Ford since the problems "concern them".I contacted Ford customer relations, who basically wondered why I was complaining to them as this was a dealer issue. So I am in the beginning stages of the run-around.There were many other areas where Gary Smith Ford screwed up with this transaction, but they were at least manageable and didn't screw me over financially. As of today, Oct 16th 2012, Gary Smith Ford owes me over $600 and a new piece of interior.

Took my NEW Shelby GT500 in for an oil change and front end alighnment. What I found when I picked my car up:Damaged front splitter (employee ran it into a curb)but didnt tell anyone.Very dirty with gravel rocks inside the tread of the tires. What happened?Jim Pope-Service Manager-after questioning multiple empoyees explained that a "new" employee parked my car too close the curb and broke my splitter-offered torepair for free. Had no comment on why the employee did not confess immediatelyor why the employee was not trained on how to park a low profile sports carbuilt by FORD.Dirty? Gravel?Jim Pope-after more investigation-further explained that the Gary Smith Ford alighnment machine was broken and my car was driven to Big Ten Tire Company 5 miles way by a non-Ford employee and he "thinks" that this is when my car was "apparently"driven down a dirt road of some sort.He confessed he was "unaware" that the alighnment machine was broken in the shopwhere he is the "manager" and was not consulted about my car being sent to a non Ford location to be repaired.Crazy huh? gets worse:6 months later-being the only Ford dealership in my area. I needed a part replaced under warranty. Went back to Gary Smith Ford. Part was replaced. Went to pick up my car. The front slitter was broken again by a different employee and this timesome paint was scratched on the bumper. They declined to allow me an outsidebodyshop to perform the repairs and that only Gary Smith Ford will repair for free.I expalined that Ive lost all confidence in Gary Smith Ford to be anywhere near my car.Got a divorce. Now I drive to Pensacola-World

I took my car in for an obvious need to change the ignition. Told me that it "might just be a switch" so they needed to check it out for $45. Turns out that if it's the switch you still have to replace the ignition. Then tells me it will be $700-800 for the work. It's a $400 part, when I decline decides to tell me that there is an after market Napa part available so that will "save" me an additional $150 because that part is $250. I went to Napa and the part is actually $115. Also, I thought they damaged my car. Instead of saying, I can see why you think that might have been us, the manager berated me, was insolent and ugly. I was upset and probably not behaving well, but I am the customer and if you treat me with some courtesy maybe I would realize it was all my fault for walking into a dealership in the first place, never again.....

Took all day for a simple check of my computer. I was put on hold on the phone for 25 min then received a rude response when asking for an apology. Voiced complaint to sales manager. When I tried to make another appointment I was told I could no longer do business there due to my 'outburst'. There was no outburst, they just don't like dissatisfied customers voicing complaints. If you do, they will ban you from their dealership.

Gary Smith Ford has refused to make good on body repair work on a 2005 Ford Expedition completed in 2009 in which they were paid insurance reimbursements. They never responded to complaints made during the 12 month warranty period, i.e. refused to resolve issues. They continue to refuse repairs, claiming now the warranty has expired.Jerry West, Body Shop Manager provided very poor and underrated customer service. There were in dignified rages, verbal aggression and profanity expressed during our meeting with him to resolve issues and observable problems related to auto repair work. Excuses were made for each and every problem identified and encountered. For example:1) A failure to repair/replace radio/cd player and return personal cds which I still do not have).2) At fault for idle holding of vehicle in shop stall claiming to be awaiting parts/paint for service; exceeded wait time.3) Failure to repair defective installation of body repair parts and provide superior work quality and meet quality standards before returning vehicle over to customer. Gary Smith Ford never made good on repair work done and failed to ever inspect faulty repair work and defects when called to their attention. 4) Appeared to the insurance company to make good on their claim in order to receive proper reimbursements or in order that the shop receive an expected dollar value on auto repairs. A suspected over count of # of items needing repairs in comparison to actual repair work needed, etc. The entire experience was horrible both with service and repairs. The body repairs and attention to this matter still remains unresolved. My most recent visit to the body shop was in July 2011. Jim Ferguson refused to meet with me or contact me as he had promised during all visits made, neither had he provided communications of any kind pertaining to this matter. Never did the General Manager respond to written or verbal complaints made or received via US mail. To this day General Manager, Jim Ferguson refuses to communicate.

My salesman (Ryan) was very relaxed & friendly. He made the leasing experience very easy. We came in having already decided what we were going to do, so Ryan didn't need to give us a sales pitch. Ryan was knowledgeable of his product & pointed out all the features of the car. Rayce was also very friendly & didn't pressure us to take any particular extra item that he was required to present to us. He have us a tip about trading-in the lease car instead of walking away from it. I really appreciated that. This will help when its time to trade it in, if that's what I decide. I may decide to buy the car after the lease.

I went to gary smith with a pre approved loan and was told that the truck that I wanted was mine that we were waiting on the paper work after over 8 hours I was told to come back the next day when I called the next day the sales manager told me that even with the pal loan that I would have to give the 2,000 extra to gary smith that was over the price of the truck . I had no negetive equity and was fully approved for the total loan amount the sales manager became very rude and started to yell at me over the phone telling me that I would give him the money or I forget the new truck . I contacted the BBB. and then went truck shopping World ford pensacola had the best prices and the best sales team. I purchased the new truck on July 3rd. since it was a holliday and the bank was closed they gave me A RENTAL FOR FOUR DAYS until the credit union opened. from the time of paperwork until I recieved the rental was less than 40 minutes, when the time came to get the new truck world ford drove the new truck over 100 miles to me and made sure that I was happy with the truck and then they drove the rental back to Pensacola you cannot go wrong with WORLD FORD
