I had a great experience from Sales to Service and everything in between. I waited on my review a little till I got the full experience as I had one issue with the vehicle I purchased. All the People I interacted with were very friendly and helpful with any questions I had. I felt a no pressure sales approach from my Sales Advisor "Ricky". Ricky E. took the time to get to know me a bit and helped me find the perfect fit for what I was looking for within my budget. Ricky E. proved to me he is a genuine man whose words were backed up by action in resolving my issue as he said he would. I really like Ricky E. I feel he is a genuinely nice guy who helped me feel comfortable threw out the sales process and followed threw out service as well, I never felt pressured or rushed. I know it takes a team to be successful and that is what I observed, a team all working together to ensure customer satisfaction. Kristy M. in the service department was so pleasant & delightful to interact with. She kept me informed threw out my service appointment so another pleasant experience. Again, words backed up with action. Everyone followed through on what they said they would do and or what would be done, this is very important to me. The whole facility was neat and clean. The service waiting area is very nice and comfortable. From complementary beverages, work stations & comfortable chairs with swing tables made the waiting believe it or not a pleasurable experience also. I would recommend Gillespie Ford to anyone including family and close friends!

I purchased a used vehicle from this location and the service team addressed a safety issue which took some days to repair which was fine. When I went to pick the vehicle up I noticed something that wasn't an issue before but and issue now. I disclosed this to the sales person that sold me the car before leaving. The service team called and I also informed them. We made the appointment to have it repaired however the left hand didn't talk to the right hand to advise what needed to happen. I worked with Kristy and she went above and beyond to make sure that the issue was taken care of and stayed in contact with me on each step that was being performed. Kristy truly understands the value of relationship building and doing the right thing for your customers. Which is the reason that I give this location 5 stars. I can't get back the time but I am truly grateful that Kristy was there and took the time so see the issue through. Her work ethic is truly valued and appreciated. This is why I would use the service team again in the future because they have someone on their team that values their customers. Kristy is definitely an asset for this company.

My experience at Gillespie Ford was outstanding and has been especially for the past 4 months. I have noticed a significant improvement beginning over the past 4 months or so. Kristy Murphy with the service department, who I always seek out, is always so kind, thorough and always seeks to ensure complete confidence. I know as long as she is there my truck will get taken care of correctly and in a timely manner. If I owned a dealership I would want her at the controls!! I just had the best car buying experience of my life. My salesman Rich Huber was very helpful during the entire buying process. I had been looking at and comparing new vehicles for the last two months from different car brands. I was not in a hurry to make the purchase so Rich did not pressure me into a quick decision. We agreed that he would keep me up to date on the latest incentives and this last weekend when the Black Friday extra cash was available he let me know. After a search of the current inventory I found an Escape that I wanted, a quick test drive and I was sold. The entire buying process went smooth two hours later I was driving the Escape I had been dreaming of. I feel that I received a fair price and the best deal.

I dropped off our 2016 Ford Explorer on a Monday at 10:30 AM for an Oil Change and Tire Rotation. I also asked if they could reattach the two elastic straps on the driver seat that hold the lather down.At 2:30 PM we stopped to see if the car was ready.... they hadn't start on it..... They finally called after 5:30 PM to say it was ready, we were unable to pick it up till Tuesday morning due to a schedule conflict. The oil had been changed, but they didn't reset the "Oil Life" indicator, so we did that.The tires were rotated but over inflated to 45 pounds, factory calls for 35. The other problem was the airbag error indicator light was now on. Also of the two seat straps only one had been reattached.I called and asked if I could bring it back on Thursday at 10:00 and the service manager said yes.We dropped it off at 10:00 am... it is now 2:00 PM FRIDAY and we've not heard anything. I've called three times and each time all I get is an answering machine.RATING: "F" for service "F" for responsiveness.Although Gillespie is closer to our home we're going to check both the Libertyville and Antioch Ford Dealers .

It started as a wonderful day for just shopping around, but Carlos was so helpful we ended up buying that day. Before we left, he even washed the car himself because the wash staff had left! That is great customer service!! We were there at least 3 hours, though, because we had to wait around to talk to "this person and then that person" after the deal was done and along the way our check got lost! We weren't aware of this until 2 weeks after we were home with the car. When I was called, the person didn't seem to be aware how to handle the problem. He said he would call back after checking the name spelling but did not. Several days later he called to ask me to reissue the check. I have to say, the most professional person is the newest guy, Carlos. "Too many chefs in the kitchen"

Went to purchase a new Fusion for my daughters 19th birthday. My wife had gotten an email showing several with rebates and discounts of 4000-6500 dollar discounts with 0 percent financing. When we got to the dealership, we were told the best they could do was 1250 rebate and around 3% interest. We picked a car with less equipment to get the payment down to being where we wanted it to be. Then we were told payment would be over our 300 dollar per month threshhold. So back to picking a former lease vehicle for lower payments. 35,000 miles on a 1 year old car but the payment would be 270 per month. Did the "aftermarket salesman" interview and added a "Protection Package" which everyone knows is just an added profit scam. Then finally 5 hours later talking with the finance guy we are almost done. No. We are now told interest rate instead of 3% is 8% and the payment is 330 per month. Seriously? We declined their offer. Only then did the Sales Manager try to intervene and tell us he could get us the 2000 rebate and 0 percent financing. Too little too late. I would not recommend a Dealer to anyone who prints adds claiming "up to " rebates when NOBODY can qualify for all of them. An Arabian Horse Association rebate is NOT an actual discount on a vehicles price and should NEVER be used as such.

I brought my car in at a scheduled appt at 9:00. I asked how long it would take...ballpark. 2 to 2 1/2 hours. I finally called at 2:30 to see if it was ready. He told me at least another hour. That would be 6 1/2 hours they had my car!!!! Completely unacceptable!!! This was the 2nd time this occurred. The first time I took my car in for an oil change, was told 1 hour. I left it there, after 3 hours passed I went back in assuming in MUST be ready. The guy told me mine was scheduled next, they hadn't even touched it!!! I said I needed my car and left. This is NOT service in my book! Just a note....I BOUGHT the car from this dealership. Thats another story... :(

I was looking for a truck and the sales person was good but it seems every time he went to get something there was always a delay. Just getting the keys for the test drive took 20 minutes because the key holder was on lunch. Everything seemed slow. Also was not happy with them handing me the Truck on empty and no headrests which I was expecting to be given after my after market items was finished. I like my truck but was not impressed with the rest of the process.

My husband and I stopped in at the end of the day on a Saturday and Elizabeth V. went out of her way and stayed past hours to show us several vehicles...she found exactly what we were looking for...a 2017 fully loaded Ford Escape Titanium model. My husband and I thought about whether we were ready for a new car...and payments again...lol and decided we really wanted the vehicle. I called and Elizabeth and went in Monday night and drove home with our new car! The customer service was excellent, every detail was explained from what we were receiving for our trade in (thanks Joe!) to making it easy to finance (thanks Shane) because they matched what my credit union could offer. We're thrilled with our new car and very impressed with the friendly and professional service we received. Let me begin by stating I have no problems with the purchase of our car. It's the after product purchase and specifically the lack of customer service from the Customer Relations Manager Tom Roufus.We bought a 2016 Explorer in March of this year. I chose Gillespie specifically because of the internet sales associate that had been working with us (even though Libertyville was much closer).Our actual sale associate was Ricky Elliston. He was pleasant enough and worked with us to get the best deal. The issues come from our purchase.of the Appearance Protection Package sold to us by Tom Roufus. Mr. Roufus explained all the bells and whistles associated with the purchase of the 3 year $599.00 package. This package includes a clear coat paint guard and leather guard protection. Mr. Roufus also explained this includes in- house detailing every 5 weeks. All we do is call him up, schedule our detailing appointment, and drop off the car. If we needed a loaner they would provide one to us. Sounds simple and easy.Our first appointment was to have the clear coat applied to the car and have a few dings fixed that were present when we initially picked up the car (which our sales rep Ricky told us would be fixed when we came in for our detailing package). I arrive the morning of our appointment to a somewhat confused looking Mr.Roufus. We started talking and he tells me because of the weather that day ( a bit drizzly) that he would prefer not to have the clear coat applied ( because" I wouldn't be able to truly see the benefits") . I'm a bit dumbfounded. A phone call would have been nice to tell me all of this instead of me driving (out of my way) to drop off the vehicle before work. Although he did offer a free tank of gas the next time I came back for my inconvenience. So we reschedule for another time. The second time I drop the car off he again has the confused look as if he was not expecting me. Between the time I arrived, located him, found a loaner to give me it was 45 minutes later. Not quite the drop and go as it was presented to me.I pick up the car only to discover that the dings that were supposed to have been fixed were not even addressed and Mr. Roufus claims he had no knowledge of. Okay, I'll give him the benefit of the doubt. It was obvious our sales rep never relayed the information about the dings to Mr. Roufus. So I had to make yet another appointment. the following week.This next appointment was to fix the dents. I also had to remind him of the tank of gas he promised me. I picked up the car the next day. When I looked over the car I saw the dents had indeed been fixed so I drove home. I get home and my husband looks over the car and asks me if I had looked at it. Apparently in the glare of the sunlight at the dealer I missed two NEW scratches as I was focused on the repairs of the dents. I was furious at this point and done with dealing with Mr. Roufus and Gillespie. My husband called and told Mr. Roufus about the scratches and Mr. Roufus started giving push back to my husband about how " your wife" thought everything was fine ) etc etc. Everything was fine as far as the old dents were concerned. I never noticed the new scratches which I really wouldn't expect from a professional establishment. My husband drove it back that very instant . We picked up the car the next day and they did buff out the scratches.Fast forward to last week ( June 7th) My husband calls to make a detailing appointment. He was told by Mr. Roufus that since he was dropping the car and needing a loaner he couldn't do it until the following week because he had no cars available ( seriously, its a car dealership. You only have ONE or TWO loaners?) Fine. my husband reschedules for yesterday ( June 15). He makes the 20 minute drive to the dealer only to be told YET AGAIN by Mr. Roufus that there was no loaner available. (Does this man not know how to use a phone.?? ) Mr. Roufus told my husband that its only about a 3 hour process and they could shuttle him back home and he could come back around 8:30 pm when the car would be done. Around 7:30 my husband calls Mr.Roufus .They apparently had not gotten around to the car yet and would bring it to our house when it was done later that night. At this point both us are speechless...and fuming. About 10 minutes later we get a call telling us the car was done and would be bringing it to us shortly. They did drop off the car. When we went to inspect it we were very disappointed. When you bring in and pay in advance for a detail job you expect it to be squeaky clean and shine. The front of the car still had remints of old bugs on the front and bird droppings on the hood. The car was still wet from the car wash with water spots and the Armor All that was applied to the tires was once again all over the plastic trim around the wheel well .Please remember this review is only regarding the customer service and quality( or lack there of) of services offered. I am almost afraid to bring it in for an service work. We definitely won't take it back for any more detailing or cleaning.

The salesperson we initially contacted via phone and email was not able to be in the dealership on the assigned date/time. We were referred to Kyle Wade, Sr. Sales/Fleet Advisor, to discuss leasing an Escape. Without knowing our requirements for leasing an Escape i.e., color, accessories, length of lease, etc., Kyle was able to expertly fulfill our needs. I had been on Gillespie's website prior to going to the dealership. I identified a car I wanted to look at and gave Kyle the inventory number. Luckily, the car was still on the lot. The test drive went great. Kyle described everything about the mechanics of the car. Kyle explained all of the lease options to us and we went home with a 2016 Ford Escape. I would recommend Kyle Wade to anyone purchasing a car from Gillespie. We were never under any pressure to lease the car or purchase any of the extras that were presented to us. The only negative was how long the process took. I would also add that I have a 2009 Mercury Mariner serviced at this dealership and I am very happy with the service.

I usually don't write reviews but after my experience with Gillespie Ford, I had to. In my experience with buying a vehicle, the process is always dreaded and the experience can be stressful. I can honestly say this was my first experience where i was made to feel like a true customer and the stress that usually comes with a purchase like this just wasn't there. The entire dealership was friendly and extremely hospitable. And that wasn't even the man who found the right vehicle for me - Kyle Wade. Kyle was a true professional and his communication during this process was exactly what is needed in the car buying process. No pressure, finding what "I" needed, and being open/honest with selection. His attention to me as a customer, was great and one of the key reasons I left with buying a new vehicle. I couldn't recommend Gillespie Ford enough and I know Mike Gillespie's attention to the customer experience is what makes this group of dealerships better than the rest.

Holly Braun Len was amazing and was able to get me an appointment on an emergency basis. She went above and beyond to alert finance and sales to my arrival and situation. Upon arriving Chris H was our salesman and he put in me a beautiful 2016 Ford Escape (which I never thought I would be able to get into a brand new car again!). He met every need and expectation I had. There was no problem fitting my budget and absolutely looked out for my best interest. Gave me the exact advice that I needed, but more importantly trusted. We bought my car new from previous owner 4 years ago, < 6 months ago bought my son's 1st car (low-miles, used). i have an extended warranty, and level of service keeps getting worse, with last oil change taking over 2 hours, no apologies, nothing.The horn stopped working on my son's car last week, at which time he told us his air conditioner has never worked. I called the dealership and 'Jim' told me there was nothing they could do since the previous owner sold it to us and they have none of that paperwork.My husband made an appointment to take the car in, intending to remind previous sales rep of our sale, but than person is gone. My husband spent >2 hours waiting and disputing the $1000 quote to fix the car we've had <6 months. He told them we bought 2 cars and planned to buy a 3rd early next year, but they didn't care.No one apologized, tried to find our paperwork, or in any way tried to retain us as customers. This was by far the WORST service we've had in years, maybe ever... and they don't care. I have emailed twice to have my issues escalated, but no one ever responds.After reading the other reviews here, i really think Gillespie employees wrote them... really, what real people write like that? I wouldn't put it past them.BAD ATTITUDES AND TERRIBLE SERVICE

I took my car to this dealership for an oil change. I gave the service desk guy a The Works coupon for $35. When the service was completed I was given a bill for $48.39 and was told that 8 quarts of oil were used, which I assume was why they charged more. This is in a car that has an oil capacity of 6 quarts. There was no indication of The Works coupon being honored on the invoice. I will not be taking my car to this dealership in the future.

I am also a female and female can be skeptical but they delivered what I asked for - no tricks - no double talk. Got the deal I wanted, got the car I wanted but to make it was the car I wanted - Kyle drove it to my work some 20 min away to see it first and to approve. Purchased a new Focus in June. Returned in July for free wash and to have my key reset. (My key limits speed and use of radio). Was told by service this could not be reset.... This sounded crazy. Called second dealer who walked me through fix over the phone. Car was returned 45 minutes later still covered in bugs ond hood and with streets and bugs on windshield. We came in on Saturday to buy for an Escape for my mom. We left with not one, but two Escapes... One for each of us!Chris E. was very attentive to my requests as I emailed him during the week to determine if you had anything within her range in stock (her 2009 Escape was totaled a few weeks ago.) Although mom has injuries from the crash, she was able to walk away from the vehicle under her own power thanks to the many safety features in the Escape, and we were impressed that the Sync immediately called 911 for her. There was no question of looking at any other makes when replacing the car. I told Chris what mom was looking for and said up front that we didn't want to waste anyone's time, including his. Chris found what mom was looking for and got her the price she wanted. Being so happy with the dependability of the Escape, and the great treatment from Chris, I decided to see if the timing was right to get an Escape of my own. Chris E. and Jim Lojas made that happen. :)My mom has always enjoyed dealing with Chris H. in the service department over the years.... We're so glad he is still there after the transition from Gurnee to Gillespie Ford! Aaron was very personable while setting up my first oil change as well.We loved Gurnee Ford and are happy to see that things are even better under the Gillespie name. I stopped by to check out the Ford Transit Connect, since I needed a van this size for my business. I was greeted by Nazar Chernyshov who showed me the vehicle then we went on a test drive. Yesterday, I had to stop in for a squeaking noise which appeared after another dealership did some work to my car. Even though they were trying to address someone else's work and even though I didn't buy the car there and EVEN THOUGH my first visit was for something petty, Aaron in service made me feel like I was the only person in his world. When I came in, I said that I had an hour, but I was prepared to leave the car if it would take longer and they were able to shuttle me to work in Gurnee. Aaron said that wouldn't be an issue and to let him know if my time was getting close. After about 50 minutes, I figured I had better get moving, so I went back out to the service drive to ask for a shuttle ride. Aaron went in back to get a porter and returned to tell me my car was in the wash and would be up shortly! So, not only did they treat me well, get me in and out quickly, and give my car a wash & vacuum, they also managed to fix the issue (LOL)! I'm grateful to Aaron and the team there - I drive past another Ford dealership on my way to work and have a working relationship with the service department at a third, further south. However, Gillespie Ford has certainly earned my business for any warranty, maintenance, or service needs!

Yesterday, I had to stop in for a squeaking noise which appeared after another dealership did some work to my car. Even though they were trying to address someone else's work and even though I didn't buy the car there and EVEN THOUGH my first visit was for something petty, Aaron in service made me feel like I was the only person in his world. When I came in, I said that I had an hour, but I was prepared to leave the car if it would take longer and they were able to shuttle me to work in Gurnee. Aaron said that wouldn't be an issue and to let him know if my time was getting close.After about 50 minutes, I figured I had better get moving, so I went back out to the service drive to ask for a shuttle ride. Aaron went in back to get a porter and returned to tell me my car was in the wash and would be up shortly! So, not only did they treat me well, get me in and out quickly, and give my car a wash & vacuum, they also managed to fix the issue (LOL)! I'm grateful to Aaron and the team there - I drive past another Ford dealership on my way to work and have a working relationship with the service department at a third, further south. However, Gillespie Ford has certainly earned my business for any warranty, maintenance, or service needs!

Lost power on toll road!! coasted to stop on Milwaukee Ave. Car towed to Gurnee Ford. What an experience. Service dept. took the time to fit us in (2002 Merc. ) and PETE the service tech. put computer on the engine.Within several minutes, he had determined that problem did not involve fuel pressure. He opened the hood and found the air filter compartment loose. Disassembled part of filter hose and IMMEDIDATELY found an obstruction that was causing the problem. Started the car and then drove car into service bay to check on other possible problems -none existed. They had us on our way in less than one hour! Total fee was for the inspection alone. Had the opportunity to take advantage of situation with stranded owner, but their honesty, integrity and professionalism was very obvious.THANKS GURNEE FORD - THANKS, PETE!! Saved the day! Car actually runs much better since this emergency service!!!

I brought my Ford Escape in on 12/13 to fix an idle problem when the engine was cold. 400 dollars later the car ran worse than when it was brought in. The car still has an idle problem when cold, but now it also runs rough when warm. Obviously they did not drive the car after their work. Just to add to the overall dissatisfaction, they say you get a free car wash, this never happened. I will never go to this dealer for service or for a purchase of a car!

Gurnee Ford hit it "out of the park" Starting with Rick Elliston greeting me and taking the time to LISTEN to what I was looking for. He explained the options and features of the Ford Edge, which I had previously decided was the car I was looking for. The test drive was excellent giving me ample opportunity to discover the feel of the car in several different driving situations. Dave the Manager and Rebecca in finance as well as Darren for additional options, completed the professional and still fun and enjoyable experience that I had at Gurnee Ford. One regret - It may be a few years before I purchase another vehicle from Gurnee Ford, so I will have to wait a bit to have a wonderful and compelling experience with the high caliber individuals at Gurnee Ford. Very good customer service in sales and service/parts,GURNEE Ford is military friendly and that is a huge incentive for me. I did not give a 5 rating for Price and overall experience because I traded in a vehicle and the #'s on the final financing paperwork did not match what I was verbally told. Brandon could have told me "Illinois Tax" was factored into the trade-in price instead of me discovering it on final finance paperwork. Just be up front about it, I ened up fianacing $1800 MORE than I had anticipated.

The process started on-line with Ford's website and the assistance of Craig Holsman (internet sales). It finished with Richard Elliston (Ricky). Even though the process wasn't quick, Ricky searched not only his dealership's inventory but what was actually being manufactured to try and get the exact car I wanted. We finally decided on a car and got a good deal. My overall experience with Gurnee-Ford was great. I was interested in a 2013 Ford Edge. After reading the reviews about Gurnee-Ford, I decided to visit their web site and check out their available inventory. I found a 2013 Edge that I was interested in and sent a request to find out if the vehicle was available. I received a call and email from Nick Bentel providing information about the Edge I had inquired about. I called Nick and set up a time for a test drive. When I arrived at the dealership, I was immediately greeted outside by Nick. He had a Ford Edge ready out front for the test drive. Nick gave me a complete tour of the vehicle, showing me all of the features, explaining the different options available on the SEL and Limited. I took it for a test drive and fell in LOVE with Edge. I loved the way it handled and everything about the car. Nick was great. No pressure about buying a car; asking me what I liked and what I didn't; and all the time wanting to get the right vehicle for me. Didn't plan on buying a car that night but I got a great deal on a 2013 Ford Edge Limited that I could not walk away from. Jennifer May handled the financing and she was great, explaining all the paperwork. The Salesperson made a promise to find the vehicle we wanted and said it would not be a problem. It was a problem. After almost a week, no vehicle found. We gave them a $500 check as partial down payment to show our good intentions. They cashed it the very next day. Communication to us about the status of finding a vehicle was not forthcoming and we had to pester the salesperson to get information. Meanwhile we checked with other Ford dealers in the area and they all responded within a day or less with either a car we wanted or an offer to order a new 2014. Gurnee didn't even think to do this. We found the perfect vehicle at another dealership and decided to take our business there. Gurnee would not match their price, so we requested our check back. They gave us a hard time saying that it hasn't cleared and we have to wait for it to clear before they can write a refund check. We checked our bank account and that's when we found out that they cashed it the day after we wrote it and that it had cleared. They were rude to me and my wife when we called to arrange a pick up of the check. I had purchased 2 other vehicles from this dealer in the past with no problems, but the salesman I worked with is now gone. Looks like he might have been carrying the place! Warning to anyone shopping for a car at this dealership or any other. If the salesperson cannot look you in the eye when talking to you, leave as soon as you can. I should have listened to my gut and walked out, but I was so focused on getting the car that I continued talking to them.

I started my search on the Internet and was contacted by Gurnee Ford. They did everything they could to locate a car I wanted at the price I wanted before I even walked into the dealership. They understood I was very busy and could not be in a hurry since my work took precedence. When numbers and model were agreed upon I went to the dealership to work with Shane to find the color combination I wanted. He first showed me all the bells and whistles in the option package I had selected. He never tried to sell me more than I wanted or try to push me Into something I didn't want like an ugly color because it was available on the lot. The dealership looked for the color combination I wanted for over a week and found no such car was available within 600 miles. I then settled for a different color Interior if they gave me a remote start at cost and they did. When I came to get the car, the paperwork was all ready for me to sign. Because of having to show me things like MySymc, we were unable to contact my Credit Union for payment because it had closed, but they accepted the email I had indicating how much I could finance. My credit union messed up making the payment and Rebecca was very nice and just let me know there was a problem so I could clear it up quickly. I was very happy with the speed and quality of the after purchase work and would use their service department again.

Tommy listened to what we wanted, showed us what they had on the lot. We test drove two cars. He worked a price for one that fit our budget, and we finished the deal. Simple. No back and forth with a sales manager, no hard sell or bait and switch. Seems like this is the way it should be, but almost never is, in my experience. Jenn handled the closing paperwork - very efficient, very pleasant, very professional. I definitely will go back to Gurnee Ford when I buy my next car.

Through emails, we discussed possible car options that would work best for me and my family. The reason I gave the rating is it was by far the best experience I have had buying a car . I was greated either outside or as I walked in the door . The employees were very freindly and know the product well . I stopped in the dealersip 3 times and everytime if Brandon was helping other customers other sales perople were more than happy to help even thoughthey knew I was going to purchase the car from Brandon .They did not use any high pressure tactics . To my surprise when I picked up the car the Tank wall full and the dealer has plates and stickers in stock so I do not have to wait for the STATE to send me plates . I am in my 50's so I have been purchasing new cars for many years .

I was referred to this dealer by USAA via an on-line new vehicle purchase request thru them; it was one of three received, and was the closest to my home with the best "incentives" package offer, which is why I chose to "visit" them first. I have previously only used this dealer for service on my other Fords. Their staff was quick to respond and that included internet sales, which responded the next business day promptly in the morning. Upon my visit, the management and sales staff was quick to respond to my presence with no pressure, and I had 3 choices of my reqested vehicle (Expedition EL) for my "test" drive within 10 minutes; my salesman was courteous and quick to find any answers I needed and that was a big help for my final decision. My trade-in and "offer" was more than fair and again, with "no-pressure" tactics which made my experience a true pleasure. Upon deciding to purchase, the "finance" portion was also quick, courteous, and explained in every detail any questions and concerns I had; from registration to dealing with banks, the process was smooth without any "pressure" for add-ons, which was very stress free!! It's a few days later, and I still have no regrets and again, very happy with this purchase!!If you do your "research" in advance, you'll have no problems with this dealer and I've already referred two others to them as well!!

Went to three other dealerships in the area including Honda and Toyota (2) and the experiennce here was by far the best. Frank Schmit was able to answer all of our questions regarding the Ford Escape. After we bought our Ford Escape, Frank was able to explain all the features helped us sync our cell phone to the sound system etc. Frank has also promised to be availale in the future if we have questions. These new cars have so much technology its really helpful to have a back-up if questions arise.

I went into Gurnee Ford to test drive a Ford Escape but the color that was on the lot was not the color for me so he looked into their inventory and found the color and features that I wanted at their Naperville location. I originally worked with an internet sales manager - Craig Holsman and after we came up with 2 alterative quoates I went to the dealership to talk with Rom, the Sales Manager who directed my to Jason Sosnowski to assist since he was in the middle of several projects. Explained to Jason that what I was interested in, and that this would be my 3rd purchase at the dealership due to great past experiences in purchasing and most importantly the excellent service from Chris the Service Manager. I explained to Jason that this sale would be for my son and his graduation present. When I brought my son in to look at several cars, Jason was extremely pleaant, thoro, and made everyone feel extremely relaxed. He went over a lot of details with my son and after test driving the car that he seemed to like he feel in love with it. The deal was closed with lots of ease no pressure to buy add ons like insurance coverage just lets us know about there availability. The Finance Manager, Rebecca Knarr was extremely polite, professional and very easy to talk to. This purchase and financing went very well, and in fact she was able to savae us about $15 a month on the Financing.Overall this is the best dealership and the only one I would go to to buy and have my car serviced and there is even a Ford dealership closer to my home but always drive past to go to GURNEE FORD.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I have recently been put on Social Security with a dibilitating Lung Disability, which means that I am on a very, very strict and fixed income. I went in with a bottom line montly payment and a specific "Wish" list. Emphasising a "No Run Around Buying Experience." I told Mr. Ruiz that I wanted another Ford Focus. I was trading in a 2005 Focus and enjoyed it. I wanted Nav, Moon roof, 5 door, with BIG emphasis on "NO RED" color. We did a test drive on a very nice 2013 Focus that had all I wanted. It came in $22 a month more than I could afford. He gave me several other options and information to digest and I went home to consider the purchase. This was very impressive for me, because a few days earlier I was looking at another option at a Kia lot. The sales rep there was very annoying and made me feel I was doing him a favor than the other way around. I've never felt so pressured. He went so far as to the block the door upon my leaving saying, "What can we do to keep you from going to Ford?" and, "I'm not letting you leave till we've made a deal." He did everything a sales person can do to solidify most peoples stereo typed fear of the "Ugly Car Salesman". I get very Frustrated with that kind of attitude and desperation. Some dealerships forget about customer courtesy. Which, however, is not the case at Gurnee Ford. I was allowed to make a non pressured decision at my own pace. I felt I had choices and not forced into what I didn't want. It has been nearly 2 weeks and the only regret I have is not having more income to aquire a more expensive vehicle. But that was not to be. Mr. Ruiz offered several different choices for me to choose from. and when i came back the following day he had even better options for me. He even came in nearly $60 dollars under my stated monthly payment request. He made my car buying experience a good one. Everyone at the dealership was extremely accomodating and Jason the salesman very friendly. After our initial visit to the dealership, the manager, Kyle, called the next day to say he found and obtained the exact vehicle we wanted and it would be there that day. The next day we went back to the dealership to see it. With little effort, we made a deal and drove the car home. I had a great experience until I picked up the vehicle and they did not include a bracket for my front plate as the car was from out of state. Brandon told me to just go to a dealer closest to me and he would arrange for them to install it for me. After that I never heard back from him.He has not gotten back to me since I have completed the purchase. So I had to pay about 40 bucks to have my front bracket installed when Gurnee Ford should have done that for me no charge!!!! Very disappointing conclusion to an otherwise smooth transaction.

My family has purchased 3 cars from Gurnee Ford and every time the service is great. Jenn is very consistent and honest, she is friendly and knows how to get the customer the "best" deal. Mike is good in finance, also consistent and very transparent. I would recommend anyone looking to buy a car to go here. I live in Milwaukee, but I'll make the trip for a quality car and good salesmanship.

By far the best car buying experience I have ever had. My salesman, Brandon, was knowledgable, friendly and really listened to what I needed in a vehicle. I have visited this dealership several times (5 actually) and not once has someone came outside to speak to me. Each time I have to go find someone. Their pricing and willingness to work a deal is substandard for sure.Also, someone should point out that it is in poor form to allow your sales people to smoke in front of the building.Yesterday I went to the ford dealer in kenosha on hy 50 and purchased my new 2013 Explorer from Joe & Mike. They got me a nicer truck (yes a bit more money and worth it)and provided me with a MUCH better buying expierence. I was greated within seconds of ariving at the dealship and shown the Explorer that was online, we test drove it and finished up the paperwork and drove home with it.I mentioned my expierence with the Gurnee ford dealer to a friend of mine and he also has had only negative expierence's there. One more thing, I live in Gurnee and I wanted to support a local business.Oh and as for our demographics - Both my myself and my buddy are mid thirtys, white, healthy and obviously able to afford the purchase of a new car or truck. He bought a Jeep cherokee instead, do to the fact of poorly he was treated.

After having the worst car buying experience at this dealer, I went back to get the floormats I was shorted. This was prearranged with dealer to "Just pick them up". When I arrived, they wanted money for them. I said my model came with the mats. They argued the point and downloaded the information I was referring to. Guess what? I was right and the mats were free! Now to top it off, the sales manager, after being very mad because I was right said I wasn't welcome at that dealership anymore. Beware of this dealership! I wonder if I'll ever get the paint blemish fixed as they promised on purchase day. This dealer recently had a management replacement. Maybe time for another!

I have taken my car to this dealership for oil changes that typically take 2 hours to complete. Recently I took my car in for an oil change before a road trip and during the trip the plastic cover for the oil filter came loose and was dragging below my Fusion. I am currently looking for a new Ford dealership to take my car for service. Very disappointed in this dealership. Also it seems that they always have something extra they want you to do for your car. They have wanted me to change my power steering fluid every 20,000 miles which I know isn't typical. Seems like they try to get as much money out of you as they can.

I spoke with a salesman over the phone on Tuesday, about coming in and looking at a car. I then made an appointment to drive the car via their online website. Immediately after making the appointment a manager from the dealership called me and we spoke more about me coming on on Friday for the appointment. I arrived at 7pm about an hour earlier than my appointment. Walked around the showroom and lot and was not greeted nor spoken too. I did try to make contact with the woman at the sales desk and she said "there should be salesman in the front" I then asked a salesman outside if there was anyone else working, and he replied there was and that in a minute he would get someone to help me. Well I waited another five minutes and gave up and left. This dealership was terrible. I know I look rather young for my age (27) but really at a Dealership you should probably be showing your customers and potential customers more respect and diligence when they come to your store.After leaving I called the sales manager and spoke with him. His apology was forced and ridiculous. I would not recommend this dealer to anyone.

I started researching online and was first contacted by Craig Holsman. After some banter about the options I was looking for, he was able to find a truck that fit my needs. He also shot me an offer that was in the ballpark of what I considered fair. I then proceeded to the Gurnee site and was introduced to Errol Kaplan, who handled the rest of the sale. Could not have been a better fit for me. We were able to hash out all of the particulars in one sitting. I don't think I could ask for any better service or courtesy than I was shown. I walked out with the truck I wanted at what I considered a fair deal. Probably the only time in my life that I could say that my car buying experience was a pleasant one.

Avoid this dealer at all costs. They will add a rip-off paint protection package and warranty to your finance contract without your approval or even pointing it out. Then they will take months to refund your money to the finance company. I still have not received my refund after 3 months. It's been a nightmare working with them. They pressure you to death to buy this package. They would not take "no" for an answer! I will never return to this dealer and would never recommend anyone walk a foot inside. They have lost a customer and will lose many more!Dishonest and horrible customer service!!

Great experience! Craig had the deal all worked out for us before we even went into the dealership and worked with Errol. The test drive of the Tauus was smooth and I was imprssed on how organized the dealership was. I remember other car buying experiences where we were there for hours, not at Gurnee Ford! Would definetly recommend this Dealership!

The service was great and I love my new car. Though I am a little disappointed with the amount of time it took to locate the car and am still waiting for my College check for $500 from Ford HQ, I understand its the Holidays and it takes time. I also wish Ford could have a better financing progarm for new recent college grads who dont really have any credit and can't get any help from anyone else. This of course is not the fault of the dealership or the salesman. They were great and did everything they could to help me purchase my car.

Did my homework online while researching to buy a new vehicle. Contacted the internet sales department of the Ford dealership in my area for information. I received an excellent price when buying a new 2010 Ford F-150. The service at delivery was also excellent with information to purchase extras but no pressure to accept them. They located one of only 7 or 8 vehicles in a 4 state area with the options that I wanted on the truck. Would buy from again and recommend to all my friends!

Having had an extraordinarily bad experience the last time I purchased a vehicle I was extremely averse to having to go through another. I didn't. The people I dealt with were all knowledgeable, professional, courteous, patient and quite kind. I have told everyone I know that they HAVE to go to Gurnee Ford, Lincoln Mercury for the best deal, the best cars but mostly for the very best people. Thanks, guys, I LOVE my Escape!

I had my car serviced at Gurnee Ford, they were great! A few months later I was in the market for a small car for my daughter and we bought a Focus from Mike. He was great the managers are very nice and not pushy. The sales person took all the time that my daughter needed to feel comfortable in her new car. This is the only ford dealer to buy a car from!!
