There were a few problems related to my service appointment at Gilroy Chevorlet. 1. There are no mechanics available on Saturdays who can work on a Volt, even for something like a window repair that doesn't relate to powertrain.2. Even though I spoke to the service personnel in advance about the specific part I needed and was assured they had it, when they started on my car on Monday morning, they called me to say they had to get the part and it wouldn't be available until next day.3.Within a few hours of my service, the check engine light came on for an issue related to coolent sensor. I think that the problem was introduced during the service appointment.

I have been a chevy owner for most of my truck purchases except for last year, I decided to give ford a shot but when I bought a 30' travel trailer my F150 was not capable of towing it. I went to ford dealer to upgrade to f250 and there standard models were pretty plain and seemed pricey so I decided to take a look at the chevy dealership and I feel in love with the 250 they had in the show room but was still over my budget. A salesman by the name of Marco greeted himself to me, very nice guy. I told him my budget and he showed me some other 250s, they were nice to but he new I really liked the show room truck. So he introduced me to his boss and I told him I was at ford and what my budget was and what ford was giving me for the trade in, he worked up a deal that was more enticing but still over my budget. So while he was trying to work out better price Marcos pulled the truck out of the show room which involved car juggling and getting it through that small door was a task. So after getting back from test drive Marco's boss came up with a little bit better price but excellent finance rate had me leaning a little more on the fence toward the deal. I had been texting my wife and of course she was only concerned about payments and was not going for it. So Marco said let's bring the vehicle to my house so my wife could see it, keep in mind it was about 8:30 at night and I told Marco aren't you guys closing, he replied this is my job I don't mind helping you get the vehicle you like,Needless to say my wife was not going for it even after she saw the truck. I felt bad that th Marco worked so long on deal for nothing he kept insisting it was no problem. Two days later I decided to go buy chevy again and look again at a less expensive truck, I found one that would of worked in my budget and wanted to look inside. Marco wasn't working that day but I had his cell and called him and told him I was there looking at another vehicle and wanted to look inside. I know how the whole commission thing works. He said he could come by and help me I told him I didn't want him to come on his day off but he insisted he wanted to come but I told him no, can you call someone here just to open the truck door so he did and someone came out and opened it.so I did liked it and my wife liked the payments even better. Marco new I wanted the other truck a kept working on price and tightened up price a little better. I ended up buying it and love it, I am soooooo glad Marco kept working on tightening up the price and letting me know he wanted me to be happy ans he would not have done his job because I would have not been satisfied with the other truck. Bottom line I feel if it was anyone else they would of just pushed the cheaper truck off on me to get the sale and move on to the next customer. Thanks Marcos for being so patient with me and getting me the truck I belong in. I will be chevy man rest of my life.

Our Salesman Marco Andrade, was very nice and he kept us on track through the whole process in buying our 2015 Chevy Volt. I will definitely send my friends and family to see Marco because he was knowledgeable about the car we wanted, we got a great deal and he was a very personable salesperson. My husband got stuck working and our meeting to buy the car was pushed back a couple of times, but Marco remained professional and understanding with everything. Great service; just a few bumps. I was getting recall work and the dealership did not have the part in, but did not know this until late in the afternoon, so I had to bring the car in again. Also, right after working on my car, the next day, the "Check Engine" Light came on. No explanation!

My vehicle had a couple of issues. Each of them was addressed and fixed. I was kept informed on what was going on by the service advisor (Dallas). The last issue was that I needed a new transmission. The warranty had expired a couple of months previously and Dallas contacted GM and they paid for part of the bill. That was a great help in bringing down the cost for me.Everyone that I have had contact with at Gilroy Chevrolet has been helpful and kind, from the shuttle driver, the parts department and Debbie at the payment desk.

Service was excellent and the staff were more than helpful, but the cost for programming the remote, that I had to buy, was exorbitant. There should be one cost for buying the remote and the programming should be included in that cost, since the remote is no good without the programming and the whole thing shouldn't cost more than $75.00, especially since I found out afterward, when I was getting a new key elsewhere, that I could get a new PROGRAMMED remote for under $80.00!

I called them on Friday with an issue regarding my new car and they squeezed me in on Saturday morning.Mike, the service writer was very friendly, polite and helpful. he got me taken care of right away. The Mechanic, Kyle, was also very friendly and professional. he personally came out and spoke to me regarding my issues and concerns so that he could provide me with good service. Best experience I have ever had with a service department. And they took care of my issues as well.

I had one question...Requested Mobil 1 for the oil change. No where on the paperwork was the Mobil 1 listed! Back in the day the car was vacumm before returned! I don't know if they didn't have time or if they no longer provide this service. Customer server Dallas was very helpful and courteous. Appreciated his help. Good CS is always a plus in my book!

I have lived in Gilroy for over 30 years and know a lot of people like myself that have dealt with this dealer's service department. My personal experiences have been terrible. I have had repairs reworked 90% of the time. Repairs that had to be corrected by other local shops. Overpriced estimates for basic repairs and a lack of customer support and empathy. I recently brought my vehicle in with a well known GM Fuel Tank leak defect of which GM has a Special Coverage Policy (07099A) and was rejected by the Dealership and was told the repair was to cost me $1700 and the Gas Tanks were on backorder because of high demand. I escalated the claim to GM and their Senior Claim Advisor told me she spoke with this dealer's Service Manager and she told me the decision was his and that because he would not support the repair, the claim could not be processed. Of course they told me that they are doing everything they can to approve it., RIGHT? All of you that have 2002-2004 GMC Envoy's beware you may be driving a known ticking bomb (NHTSA Action Number: PE07014). Little it seems this dealer cares. I found a great deal on a used SUV listed on Cars.com - I got a quick response from Gilroy Chevrolet, made an appointment and went for a test drive. I am very very happy with this purchase - I got a great deal. Returned later in the week for a complimentary detailing and car wash. My one complaint is that I was required to submit a credit report when I was doing a cash (personal check) transaction - or wait for personal check to clear.

I was told that they would be in at "any Minute" and would be notified. A week later no call.. When I checked again, the car was sold, but still listed in their web site. Was looking for a specific car to buy. Saw a Cadillac CTS that i wanted in Seaside but didnt have the right color. i called Gilroy to see if they had it. I have been contemplating getting a new car for at least the past 4-5 years. Honestly, the experiences I've had buying a car, the time it takes haggling, working with the finance guy, etc. was time consuming and not so much fun. So, when my son (a mechanic at Gilroy Cadillac) suggested we just "go look" at the cars on the lot I was game (especially since my car broke down the night before, third time in three months). I was completely impressed with the casual sales approach witnessed by all the salesman on the lot. Rick Simpson was our guy. He was so friendly, no pressure and so patient with me. We drove 6 cars and he was always happy to get the next set of keys for the car and drive along with us. It was like taking a friend along with us! He was excellent! I had been doing my research on Chevy and Ford cars, so I knew what I wanted, I had decided on a red, '13 Cruze, but I told Rick that I needed to sleep on it and also wanted to bring my husband back. So, I slept on it and brought my husband, Dave back with me and we leased the car! I was not looking forward to doing all the paperwork, but I was completely amazed at how painless my experience was. We walked in at 6:20pm and walked out with a new car by 7:50pm! Brian (I believe that's his name) was friendly, answered all our questions, had a good sense of humor AND was amazingly quick! I have and will continue to share my experience with everyone I know, I'm sure this won't be the last you see of me. I am a first time American-made car buyer and proud to have purchased a Chevy!! Thank you for an outstanding experience!

I was unhappy that the rubber gasket on the bottom of the door entry cracks so easily. The other cars we own have a hard plastic cover over the bottom shelf entry/exit door seal. Since this is a place that your foot automatically rests on when exiting the car, the rubber gasket does not hold up and cracks and falls apart. I think a hard plastic replacement should be available for replacement. The service personnel were great but unfortunately could not replace the rubber gasket.
