I had been researching on line for about 3 months for just the right Ford Explorer I would want to purchase. I looked at the dealers near me to see just what they had to offer. None of them had the exact Explorer I wanted. My husband and I decided to visit a number of dealers to see what kind of deal we could get and how long it would take if we had to order the one I wanted. The dealers we went to tried to sell us one off the lot, and when we told them we wanted to order so we would get exactly what we would be paying for they told us it would take 6 to 8 weeks to get what we were asking for. The last dealer we visited was Greene Ford in Gainesville. There we met Nina Waite, a very sweet, easy person to talk to. She listened to our needs and without hesitating, took our wish list to her manager. Within about 15 minutes she came back to us with a copy of the sticker showing the car I was asking for. The only dealer that had said they would even try this was Greene Ford and Nina. They had done a search of dealers across the southeast to find me the car I wanted. No one else had even tried to find my car this way. This was on Saturday and by Tuesday afternoon I had the car I wanted, color and all. And, to top it off, Tuesday was Nina's day off, but she came in on her day off to make sure my first car buying experience was a good one. I had no idea that buying a car could be so easy. Thank you Nina and Greene Ford for making my dream come true.

I was in the market to buy a new car last November and ran into the best salesman at Greene Ford, Mr. Jay Kimmel. Jay was kind, considerate, never pushy and ALWAYS dependable. If he told me he would get back with me on something, he ALWAYS did and ALWAYS in a timely manner. I always felt like he wanted me to be sure of exactly what I wanted and wasn't just trying to make a sale. After I purchased my new vehicle, Jay told me that we had a relationship for the entire time I owned this vehicle. He said he would always be there for me. I didn't think much of that statement until this weekend when I called on him. I was having some trouble with my car and being a single woman, I needed help and advice. The Service Dept. was closed because it was Saturday, so I took a chance and called on Jay. In his call reassuring voice, he made me calmer. I ended up calling him multiple times and the last time I was very unsure about trying to drive on in to the dealership. Jay asked where I was and said he would be right there. He came to my "rescue" immediately. After getting the car to the dealership, he arranged for me to have a loaner so I wouldn't be stranded all weekend. He told me to call him on Monday and we would see what Service found out. Through all of this on Saturday, Jay probably should have been trying to sell more cars, but he made me feel like I was the most important person to him at the moment. He never made me feel like I was a burden or anything like that. He went way above and beyond his job to help me in a difficult situation. I consider Jay Kimmel more of a friend than I do a car salesman. One other thing, I had my little nephew with me on Saturday and Jay was so kind to him, too. My little nephew was asking a million questions and Jay was so patient with him. If anyone out there is looking for a kind, honest and dependable car salesman, you need to head to Greene Ford and ask for Jay Kimmel. He's the best!!

I went in looking for a used Toyota Corolla. Bruce was great about listening to what I needed, what I could afford and finding me the perfect car! He was very friendly and really did help me out. He answered any questions I had. I was really worried about going to a dealer for a car, but Bruce was great about easing my fears with his knowledge and great attitude! And if there was something he wasn't sure about, he went and found out for me. I am so thankful to Bruce and the whole Greene Ford company!! by phone, i told indoor sales every detail what i need. then i brought check, drove 46 miles, brought my family. however, he, indoor sales, told me "that's a misunderstanding" when i faced him. shame! taught me a lesson: do not believe indoor sales by phone (email maybe better); do not buy a car from dealer far from your house. the inventory on cars.com is not ture. (maybe a trap of dealer)

Jason Vieira was the awesome salesman that helped me get into a used trade-in they had recently acquired. I wouldn't hesitate one bit recommending him to anyone looking for a friendly, no-pressure experience.I'd email the dealership late Sunday night before Memorial day. The next morning, on Memorial day, Jason had replied to my email and left a message on my phone. I called him back and was there to test drive the car around lunch time -- Jason had it totally ready and it was clean as could be. The car was what I wanted, but I'd seen and test drove others that were selling for less; Jason took that back to the manager(?), and he came back with a seriously respectable counter offer. That sealed the deal.There was of course some time to get all the paper work in order by the back office/finance folks, but nothing excessive or out of the ordinary.Thanks again, Jason!

Great experience with Rob Long. I emailed them on a used vehicle and when Ibshowed up they a little unannounced they already had the explorer pulled out and ready for my test drive. They were more than willing to work with me on a little bit of unusual shopping circumstances. Rob was great in letting me test drive it a little more as the vehicle is travelling to Europe. Overall a great experience and stayed true to their word. Would easily visit this dealership again.

Have you every bought a car without shaking hands with the salesman or for that matter not even meeting him, except over the phone, never going to the dealership, never seeing the car, much less driving it and checking it out? Well, I have and I can tell you it was the best experience I have ever had in purchasing anything, must less a car. The dealer was Greene Ford Company, Gainesville, Ga. and the salesman was Rob Long. Words are not enough to describe the experience I had in purchasing my new Flex. Rob Long was the first salesman of all the Ford salesmen that I had talked with at several other Ford dealerships that was willing to talk with me concerning purchasing a new car without having to make an appointment to "come in and see what we have and then we can talk numbers". I explained my reasons for not being able to make an appointment. I knew what vehicle I wanted, after extensive research and driving a used one and it was a Flex. Most people would probably think I was crazy to complete a deal like I did, especially in today's society, but like I stated it was the best deal I have ever made and I highly recommend Rob Long and Greene Ford to anyone looking for a vehicle. Rob went above and beyond the call of duty to help me in finding and purchasing my Flex. We missed several calls to each other on one day and Rob called me on his day off and we talked several times and e-mailed several times and actually made the deal that day. Most salesmen today would have said they would call the next day when they got back to work or refer you to another salesman. However, Rob is the type of salesman who wants to make sure that the customer is happy and he is exceptional in trying to make that happen. I feel that I had a person who not only wanted to sell me a car, but also a person who understood what I wanted and was very helpful in answering all my questions and desires. This is unusual in today's car dealer world. But most of all I feel I not only got a great deal, but I also made a friend. I recommend Greene Ford to anyone who ask me where I got my car, but I tell the story of my salesman and what a delight it was to meet someone I felt who genuinely cared about having you understand your car and feeling comfortable with asking anything concerning it and the deal you were considering. The 2016 mustangs are having bad vibration, I took mine to Greene ford in Gainesville.the service guy has had this car 6 times now and it still vibrates the driveshafts in theses cars are giving problems that the service manager Blane told me he just can't fix it... I suggested putting new tires on the car , I am in the car business and now when there is a bad tire or rim. They loaded up the weights on my car to balance the tires these people need more knowledge and try and please a customer. I feel the vibration and I want it fixed why aren't they willing to fix this??? Beware of the go around

I went into Greene Ford after a very disappointing day of a search for a used SUV. From the first phone call made to this dealership from the time I was driving away in my car I was treated with respect. No gimmicks here! Grover "The Bear" was so helpful and accomidating. I was a nervous wreck (this is the first car I've bought on my own). He was so understanding and made me feel like family. He walked me through every step of the process, made sure that the one feature my dream car was missing (backup camera) would be installed. I got more for my trade than I expected and the finance guy got me a great deal and was so fun! I was even given a balloon to bring home to my daughter. Thank you all for such a wonderful experience. He told me what they had for sale and I scheduled a time to come take a look at a couple of vehicles. When I arrived Aaron introduced himself to me and had the Keyes for the ones I mentioned ready. Aaron new everything about the features of each vehicle and was eager to take a test drive. After driving two cars I fell in love the Ford Edge! Aaron offered to get the car cleaned up while I went to lunch and had all the paperwork ready when I returned. Best vehicle purchase experience I have ever had. We narrowed our new truck search down to a Dodge Ram and the Ford F150. We preferred the quality, technology updates and reliability and reputation of Ford and the F150 in particular. We chose Greene Ford to deal with as they are closest to our home. Both Rob Long, Sales; and Rob Nielson, Finance were exceptional to work with and took all the angst and pressure out of the buying experience. Although the exact truck we wanted was not on their lot, they went out of their way to find one that matched our criteria and had it there the next day. Great service! I went to Greene Ford this past weekend just to get some information because I was unsure about exactly what truck I wanted. Tony met me and my wife when we drove up. From the very start we were met with professionalism and courtesy. He was very friendly and patient with us and was very knowledgeable about his inventory and other types of trucks too. He really knew his stuff. Before we left we had so much knowledge that we knew we were making the right decision and very comfortable with the decision we were making. He wasn't pushy at all. He just gave us the information we were looking for and told us what options were available to us. Not only was he patient and knowledgeable, but he actually made it fun! I dealt with Aaron Hughes and he was awesome. I didn't know what I really wanted, but we drove a few different cars, new and used. He was very accommodating and was quick to answer any questions I had about any of the cars. He seemed way more interested in me being happy with a vehicle than him selling a car. I eventually settled on the new mustang but they didn't have the exact one I wanted (color, features, etc...). It took him less than a day to have one for me on the lot. I drove it, they gave me a fair price for my trade in, found financing at a rate cheaper than I could from my own bank, and got me in the car I wanted.I couldn't be happier with my experience here. They handled everything for me and I'm loving the new car.

I did lots of homework and was looking for a 2015 late in the model year with a dozen specific features. Jim was new to selling F-150s, but was never stumped - he answered when he could and relied on others to help him out when he couldn't. And there were others in the dealership that knew every detail of the F-150 line (not an easy task). Louis stepped in and helped find a vehicle. Then he worked hard to get the price within our budget. We didn't make the budget number, but we got a LOT more truck than we thought we could get at that price (Lariat, 4x4, chrome, bedliner, EcoBoost, etc). We are in love with the truck (our first). Jim and Louis were helpful, transparent and never pressured. Compared to another Ford dealership we started with, it was a starkly pleasant difference.

I wanted to do a little bragging on a few of the folks that made my car buying experience great at Greene Ford in Gainesville. As a former vehicle salesperson I am always skeptical of salespeople, some can be quite cheesy! The encounter I had was the opposite! My first encounter was with Brittney Martin on dealer chat. She answered all my MANY questions-went above and beyond & took photos of the car I found online that had none and sent them to me. Later that day her partner Jason Vieira called me back with more pics. They were both worried that the first pics of the car, which was a little dirty would hold me off. He took more of the clean car. Needless to say I was there a little after opening the next day. The visit to the dealership was anything but intimidating and had warm, friendly and relaxing atmosphere. Jason and I hammered out the deal. Trey Greene was the finance person I got and he did a great job as negotiated with me to get the payment & interest rate I wanted. I walked away by lunch with the car I had been looking for that I didn't think I would be able to afford. Anyone is crazy not to go see Jason or Brittney and Greene Ford for their auto buying. It was well worth my 3 hour RT drove!!

I am sad to say, after years of dealing with the Greene Ford's service department and being a satisfied customer I now will not be returning. The man I was dealing with comes across like he couldn't care less if your truck is fixed or not. I originally took my truck in with an issue, picked it up "fixed", the we issue occored less than 10 miles down the road... On the phone I was told to just keep driving and get it back there when I can because he is "stumped". The next day the truck won't turn over, have it towed they were not helpful in figuring out what was covered under my Ford warranty, sent me home again with a "fixed" truck. Less than 10 hours later the truck won't start. They now say, its up to me to figure out I'd its just the battery. First off if it "was just the battery" shouldn't they have been able to figure that out? Its obviously more. I now have missed almost a week of work (since I rely on my truck) over $500 and a lot of frustration. I will find another Ford dealership to work on the 4 Ford trucks we own.

My husband and I have been pricing Chrysler 200's for a little while. I had certain qualities that I wanted in the car. We visited ALOT of dealers in my area and could not find what I wanted in the details that I wanted. We turned to the internet as a tool to help find my "dream" car. We live no less than 3 hours away from any of the dealers with my car. My husband drove to Easley SC 3 hrs away to find out that the car there was not in the condition as described and one of my key features was not there. He called our second choice(so glad he did). He talked to the folks from Greene Ford and was very pleased that the sales staff went above and beyond for us. My husband drove almost 6 hrs one way to get my car and it would not have happened with out the wonderful folks at this dealer. I would recommend them to anyone!!

Had the worst experience today at GREENE FORD of Gainesville Ga My customer service representative MICHAEL ANDERSON was the worst customer service person I have ever met!!! He was actually cursing as he walked into the dealership and was Laughing as off making fun of us or something !! I believe he got upset because we didn't want to buy a $40,000 Ford f-150 I was approved for!! I am going to buy what i think is more convincing to me not what he wants me to buy!!! Since I didn't want the ford instead saw a really nice GMC he started to say that I wasent approved for that and that it was going to be a higher payment and what not how was that possible if the truck was less money ?!!! He was super rude at the end !! That is not at all a good customer service!! If to him Ford seems to be the best truck that doesn't mean that to everyone it is !! Also one last thing he checked my moms and my credit score !! He didn't give us any paper to sign to say he was going to check our credit or give us a copy of that score !! I definately don't recommend this dealer to anyone !! Specially not there super rude customer service !!

sometimes when people get so comfortable, lazy is more like it, they forget what they are employed to do. walk into greene ford, like i did, and be totally amazed. there is no hospitality, employees expect the customers to be happy with what ever they get, its not a soup kitchen. i even saw an employee order an elderly couple to go sit down and get out of the way while they wait for service. go to another dealer, you will be so better off.

I recently traded my car at greene ford, ,what a big mistake,, I was lied to , deceived about the car.. But I take responsibility for that, for being stupid and not noticing it,, the day I traded I had brought my car in for oil change and tire rotation, I had paid for it , the salesman said they would reimburse me or the cost.. well after about 7 calls talking to a bobby Meyers and getting promises that it would be sent to me, I never received it,,,And doubt if they had any intentions of reimbursing me.. the 47 dollars was not going to make or break me, I more or less wanted to see if the dealer had any integrity at all,, well I found the answer to that, Buyer Beware.

went in with a better running vehicle than left with, lost lots of money, ended up with a car that i will be upside down for years. first vehicle was certified, what ever that means, it needed major work and was a hassle to get anyone to believe me, and I'm an ase certified technician. so i had to pay thousands to get them to take the first vehicle back and get a different one just to end the nightmare.

Don't buy from this dealer. They will take a rebate off the price of the new car and a week or so later they will call you to let you know that the rebate that was taken off that you don't qualify for and they want their money. All rebates should be verified before signing the contract. Trust me read the reviews about this dealership and take your money to another ford dealer.

Don't purchase from this this so called dealer. Greene took a 500 rebate for me being a gfm but a week later they called saying I didn't qualify for the rebate because I hadn't been a member long enough and they wanted their money or I could drop off the truck and it will be a voluntary repo. Greene ford should have checked to see if I qualified for the rebate first before we signed the contract. It's a shame that a dealer would accept the contract and a week later saying they couldn't. This was my first purchase from greene ford and trust me it will be my last and I hope your don't choose this dealership to purchase a car or truck.

I would like to have worked out an arrangement with the service dept on an unauthorized repair, but after being yelled at over the phone by the manager of the service dept, this will not be the case. I have worked with other dealership service depts. over the years and have NEVER had this type of service occur. I am shocked that anyone in that type of manager or service position would talk to a customer in that manner.

I recently purchased a certfied pre-owned F-150 at Greene and the experience was absolutely incredible. After looking around at some other local dealers and feeling pressured into buying a truck I wasn't sure about, Trevor Greene (my salesman) was a pleasure to work with. Absolutely no pressure to buy and he was very knowledgable about the vehicle. I got a fair trade-in allowance on the truck I traded in and felt valued as a customer throughout the entire process. About 6 weeks long after purchasing the truck, I had an issue with the winshield. It was not secure and I got a lot of wind noise at speeds over 50 mph. The service department was very courteous and replaced the winshield at no cost...Even gave me a ride to and from work while the work was being completed. Nick and Michael in the Service Dept. were great.

I had bought myself a new car this last year and I went back for a car for my wife for a early birthday gift. I already new the Greene Ford staff was going to be friendly but when my wife and I arrived they had her car on the showroom floor with ropes around it and balloons everywhere. Coming out of a marriage where I lost most everything except my son had left me with well some credit issues. I was referred to Greene Ford by a friend that swears by them. I was pleasantly surprised to be greeted and treated as if I had the best credit in the world. They sat down with me and went over all of my options and let me pick the one that worked best for me. On vacation and was near Gainesville a couple of weeks ago when our car stopped dead with no warning. Being it was 6:00 pm on a Friday I knew we was in trouble. The first dealer(closest) was Greene Ford. Even though there service department was closed two mechanic's was in the back getting ready to leave. The person I talked to Anderson was in sales I believe but he took it upon himself to talk the service department in checking out our car. It was a simple relay power switch that had gone bad. I don't live in this state any more. But I was really impressed with the level of service my family and I received. As everyone involved went beyond what I had expected of them. it's good to find good people in the world and good dealerships as well. I had been shopping for new vehicles for quite a while(4 months) and had gotten frustrated with the different trades values I was getting with no explanation as of why. Begrudgingly I contacted Greene Ford the salesman was Anderson. After me going off on him for the other dealers and how they handled me and my situation. Anderson with in 15-20 minutes had me a sight unseen appraisal ready to email me a long with a report from two different sites that backed up and showed how they came to the value. Now life's not perfect but I was impressed with the way I was treated and the information I was given(emailed) and there for I did buy a car from Anderson at Greene and I drove past two other Ford dealers that are to big to pay attention to the details of a shopping customer. I bought a 2009 Ford Fusion SE at Carriage Mitsubishi, it needed to have the Ford SYNC fixed and a front-end alignment. Since Greene Ford is next door to Carriage they sent the car to Greene Ford to fix the SYNC issue. After over 16 hours of them looking at it, they decided to replace the SYNC control module. 5.5 hours later they still didn't have it done. So I got tired of getting the run-a-round and purchased the module and had it fixed in less than 2 hours. Shouldn't Ford know how to fix their cars better and quicker than someone who just works on cars as a hobby? I will never take one of my vehicles to Greene Ford nor recommend them to anyone. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else!

My overall buying experience was excellent. The salesperson who handled my purchase, Benny Ray Smith, was attentive to my needs and worked very diligently to find an excellent new vehicle that was in my price range and had outstanding features. He never tried to talk me into a vehicle that I did not feel a connection with and he happily showed me any vehicle I asked to see on the lot. After showing me several used vehicles and listening to my concerns and desires, he followed up by locating an Escape that was exactly what I needed in a color that I love. Benny was very patient in showing me features of the car that were new and technology that I might have difficulty in manipulating. Because of his tutelage, I was able to quickly learn the nuances of this vehicle and use all the features that I might have ignored otherwise. After driving a Honda Odyssey for 13 years, I am elated to have a reliable vehicle that is fun to drive and suits my needs perfectly. Thanks so much Benny for finding this vehicle for me!

He got it put on. for a great price another dealership was going to charge me 500.00 to fix and i got out for under a hunderd dollars. I recently decided to trade my Ford Edge for a used Fusion. I called Grover "The Bear" who I had dealt with when I bought my Edge. When I arrived he gave me the keys to a new Fusion and told me to take it for a spin! Long story short I fell in love with it! Grover worked real hard and got me a a great interest rate gave me a fair deal on my trade in and my payments were lower han they were on the edge! We have been dealing with Greene Ford for years and have never been dissapointed. I don't think I will be trading any time soon but if I did I would def call up Grover!

I called about a 2005 Thunderbird I had seen on line for sale and spoke to Grover "The Bear" and when the car was available he asked if I could come down from Tennessee that day. My wife and I came down, got there just before closing, Grover was most helpful, we drove it and made the deal that evening. We purchased our 1995 F250 Extended Cab with a 7.3 Diesel as this is one of Ford's best engines and it was obviously well taken care of inside as well as outside. We did our research. Our salesman (he was awesome, great guy) did not rush the sale, he gave us time to reflect then make the decision on our own. As this is our 8th Ford Vehicle, my father always told me that Henry Ford built the cars for the simple man, making it affordable and economical to own. My experience Ford is keeping to that tradition as well as Greene Ford. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

We wanted a Ford Edge after a six month period of looking at the Edge along with Chevy, Kia, Hyundai and Nissan. After having visited two other Ford dealers we were not happy with the the way we were treated. One was not very knowledgeable and the other was slick and evasive. We called Greene Ford after viewing their website and although it was Sunday and they were closed, the call was answered by Bill Plachter who had the Sunday calls forwarded to his personal phone. He was friendly, helpful and answered all our questions directly. He followed up the next day and found the car we were looking for at another dealer. Two days later we closed the deal at a TRUECAR.com rated "better than good" price and Bill absorbed the cost of getting the car to Greene Ford for pick up by us. One key to our being pleased with Mr Plachter was his understanding of finance options and how to work the arrangements with Ford Motor Credit to maximize the savings to us. We're happy campers and my wife loves her new Edge.

First of all, I want to say I blame myself for falling into the trap that is Greene Ford. I am from Columbia, sc and I found a 2007 Sport Trac online and talked to Bill Plachters on the phone to set up a test drive. Drove it one Saturday and it seemed fine so I purchased the truck. When I got back to Columbia, SC I checked the radiator to find it completely empty. I immediately called Bill, and he began to say "this is a used car, this sort of thing can happen", (etc etc). So I didn't get my bank to send Greene Ford the check for another week, and finally Bill said they would agree to look at the truck if I BRING it to the dealership myself. Thats right, he said to bring a truck with an empty radiator 200 miles to have them look at it.When I did send the check, it took a month to get a receipt so I could register the vehicle and I had to pay a late fee. THEN as I inspected the radiator more, I found a 1 inch crack right on top of it. I called Bill and asked why they wouldn't have noticed a crack on the radiator and his response: "If you didn't see the crack when we test drove it, how would you expect our mechanics to see it?". ISN'T THIS A MECHANIC'S JOB? I had the radiator fixed at a local dealer for $700. One month later the transmission failed. I called Bill, and he told me they could not do anything for me, and I was not surprised. I called the manufacturer to find out that there is a certified pre-owned warranty to cover the transmission. Why Greene Ford would have no knowledge of the warranty I couldn't tell you. I had to pay a $100 deductable for the tranny. Now, the truck still runs hot and leaks radiator fluid and I need to get rid of it asap. They went out of there way to make sure that we were happy with our purchase. My vehicle was just as I was told and we were happy when we left with our car. I would recommend them with any purchase. They were honest, quick and made buying a vehicle fun. I will definately be back.

Bill has been nothing less then professional. He has gone far over and beyond the usual customer service. The dealership is clean and inviting and all of the employees so far have been more then friendly and helpful. We have purchased two passenger vans from them and have had wonderful experiences both times. We hope to do more business with them and Bill in the future!

Greene Ford was great to do business with. I special ordered a 2011 F150 Supercrew in March 2011. They kept me informed on the status of the truck being built and called me the day that it arrived on their lot. I also had the dealer install some extra accessories on the truck which they did an outstanding job on. Greene Ford gave me the best price, great service and was true to their word at closing time. Very unprofessional, told me I was approved, trying to get me the deal I wanted, never called me back. At least call and say it can't be done. I've bought 5 Fords in the last 8 years, never been late on a payment. At least I could have received a return call.

I have purchased six new vehicles from Greene Ford and have used their service department for service on those vehicles. My experience with the sales staff has always been superb in that they have gone the extra mile to find the vehicle I wanted.The service department and the parts department personnel are seriously customer oriented in that they go out of their way to ensure that they have satisfied customers.

She was able to beat a local competitor's price and did not make me feel pressured at all. She answered all my questions and made sure I was happy when I left. I would recommend her to anyone that wants to buy a car! She not only helped me find the car for me, she also sold me on the dealership. Oh man, you should've been there. My poor elderly mom got RIPPED off by Greene Ford during a purchase of a 2003 Ford Focus. The salesman (Cohen) used all kinds of tactics to lure her into the sale, using techniques like telling her what SHE BUDGETED OUT TO. Yeah, I guess the maximum amount of car she can safely budget in her financing is a Ford Focus ZX3...when you gouge the price by $4,500 after luring her into the dealership for one of your HUGE SALES.
