Great dealership. Excellent customer service it doesn't try to cheat you like-- Hall Honda Virginia Beach. Go here before purchasing vehicle at any of the Virginia Beach Honda dealerships , they really listen to the customer and don't try to sell you Nitrogen in the tires, which is a total joke! I visited four Honda dealerships in VA Beach before going to this one. I should have gone straight here and saved myself 8 hours of wasted time!

Service has always been very good. Our very recent purchase of a 2016 Odyssey from Adrien Curry went smoothly and pleasantly. Manager Matt Harrell handled our trade-in and left us annoyed. He evaluated our 2006 average mileage Odyssey, told our it was worth way less than any rated value we had found on the web for trade-in for a car in good shape and 130k miles. He then proceeded to insult us by finding faults with what was a mechanically well maintained car with some small dings, and telling us that it would have to go to auction and only bring $1000. We tried hard to do some honest bargaining, and we got him to come up a little in value, and left it at that. Then four days later we see our van sitting out front, waxed up and with new tires, with an asking price of $7,495." Image how that made us feel. Adrien - thanks for you service., Matt, we are sorry you felt compelled to bargain dishonestly with us to get the deal your way.

Had oil changed today. Was told by Autumn Donski when she pulled up my car info on the computer I had no more free oil changes and will have to pay. I got home and checked my package and I was still allowed more free oil changes. Since this happened I was informed Hall Honda was not aware of Nissan's 4 free oil change Value Package and Autumn Donski was acting on the information as it appeared on her computer. My payment for the oil change has been promised to be returned.

Hall Honda of Elizabeth City was a no pressure auto buying experience. I hate being pushed into something and then going back and forth to get the best deal but there was none of that here. I told them where I needed to be and they worked it out. Adrian our Sales Rep was extremly knowledgeable about the vehicle and all of it's features. He was a very pleasant no pressure kinda guy. Matt the finance officer was also very pleasant and got me right where we needed to be on payments and everything. John the Finance Manager was exceptional as well and did not try to pressure us into additional purchases to drive up our monthly payment but offered all the necessary information we needed. All in all we had an excellent experience here and this is the place to go.

I had made two car purchases, back in April of this year, had great experience then on both purchases. Then hurricane Matthew comes along and takes away one of my new cars. I went over to talk with them about how the insurance may handle the claim, the feed back was good. They were real helpful. With no pressure they said once you are ready to purchase I car, come back over and they would work with me to get into a new one. I worked with TJ, on Sunday in a short period of time drove off the lot in my new car.

I told Mike, our salesman, that it was the most relaxed and easy going car purchase I had ever had. I am 75 and have purchased many cars. He was informative, relaxed and congenial. There was no effort to steer us in any direction or pressure to rush a decision. The closing was typical. There is always an effort to sell add ons (extended warranty etc).

My wife and I drove from Franklin, Va to Elizabeth City,NC to purchase our first Honda automobile. It was worth the drive. We were greeted and made welcome by manager, Nick and joined by the very friendly and knowledgeable , Danielle. The entire staff we met were all very friendly and professional . We even got a personal tour and a meet and greet of the facilities. We were impressed with this dealership. We felt we got a good deal and a fair trade for our trade in vehicle.My only concern with the entire buying experience was the $649.00 "PROCESSING FEE" that we were charged. It's the highest I've ever seen and no one could tell me what is for.Over all we are happy and love our new 2016 Honda Odyssey and look forward to visiting again in the future for our regular dealer service.

That means a lot to me as a customer!Frank arranged for the trade/new car sales, and doing extras such as transferring my tires from my trade-in to my new car as well as transferring the roof rack. I went to Honda to buy a new vehicle, I wanted something that could tow, 4 wheel drive, space for 7 people and have plenty room to put 121 cases of cookies in it. So I found the Pilot. I am so far very happy with the my SUV. It has shown me that it can take the snow from the last two weeks. Now its going to show me that it will handle 136 cases of cookies next month. Ever since we moved to The Outer Banks I have taken my 2004 Honda Accord to Hall Honda. First I saw Winn and then when Hall Honda moved to Elizabeth City I saw Corey. Their service is excellent: they listen well, are responsive, explain everything they are going to do and offer a free car wash! If the technicians alert them to something else that may need attention, Corey will come to explain what it is, why it needs to be done, how much it will cost and how long it will take, and I can decide. There is no pressure: just factual information explained well. On one occasion my radio wasn't working when I was at home, and Corey spent more than a half hour talking me through the steps I needed to do to make the radio work. He was gentle, patient and very accommodating. I love the service department and cannot laud their approach enough!

I just bought a 2014 CRV from Hall Honda Elizabeth City. My wife and I researched the CRV online and found what we felt was an excellent price. Since I've already bought two other Honda's at Honda of Elizabeth City we of course wanted to buy the CRV from them. Not only because they gave us the deal we were looking for, but because of the superior customer service we always get from them. The service department is excellent. Their computer system records your vehicle and all the work you have done and what may be needed. Their service team is tops from the moment you're greeted when you bring you car in for work to the excellent explanation of work needed and or done. I've had the opportunity to discuss my cars needs with the service write up team, the tech doing the work and the service Manager as well. Each time I go in for service I feel I'm getting the best I can get. I know for a fact that their techs are highly trained by Honda to work on all the Honda line. I really appreciate the personal, one on one service I always get at Hall Honda of Elizabeth City. ( I live closer to another Honda dealer in Chesapeake Va. but I prefer and always go the extra mile to Elizabeth City for all my purchases/maintenance). I have to admit this last purchase was unusual. Not only did I get to chat with my favorite salesman, David Warburton, but I saw, now retired salesman Lim, that sold me my Odyssey in 2008. As I'm chatting the new sales manager Nick Vendt introduced himself to us. He took special interest in our buying the CRV. He knew what we were looking for and helped us find the exact CRV at the price we had in mind all along. I want to thank the entire team at Hall Honda of Elizabeth City. The sales team, the finance mgr, the service team, the Gen Manager and even the lady in the back office. She knew just how to handle our special needs in registration with NC DMV. Now that was a total team effort. Why go any place else!!

We bought a Honda CRV on October 31, 2011. It had been a horrible buying experience the whole way through: VERY pushy sales, feelings of dishonesty from the salesmen, rude comments, the list goes on. We were looking at this car for a few days and kept getting calls that again were just very pushy, trying to get us to buy as quickly as possible. Halloween comes, it is our son's first Halloween, we get a call from Hall Honda saying if you don't buy the car today all the numbers that they worked out would change because of the beginning of a new month, really pushing hard for us to get it NOW. My husband did end up going in and was there for over 3 hours that night trying to purchase this car when we were supposed to be trick-or-treating, and even though it had been such a bad experience thus far, we really liked the car and thought it would be good for our family...it was just hard to make this decision when we knew we were being lied to and cheated, we just didn't know on what...the first carfax they gave us was not even for the right car...of course my husband caught this and gave it back to them and told them to give us the right one...the carfax ended up showing a clean record. This car was supposedly a "Honda Certified Used Car". The form wasn't even filled out for one thing on all the things that were supposedly checked and "certified". Another thing we had to make sure they did, but clearly not the way it's supposed to be done. Now that I am writing all this stuff, I do not know why we ended up buying this car! My husband is a helicopter mechanic for the Coast Guard, clearly knows how stuff is put together. After we purchased the car, my husband started noticing little details that were not quite right. We had to bring the car in SO many times after we bought it for things that kept coming up, parts missing and not working. Skip 2 years ahead to now. We are now looking to get a new car, looking at the Lexus dealership in Virginia Beach. We gave the information on our Honda to look at what the trade would be (of course we had already entered our info on KBB to see what it was worth). He came back and said we can't give you what you want for this trade because it was in an accident! We were sure he was incorrect, showed him our carfax Hall Honda had supplied us. He showed us his. Our "Honda Certified" car had been in an accident a year before we bought it and was reported on this new carfax. I am sure I do not need to explain the feelings this stirred up after an already horrible and dishonest buying experience.I took this information to Hall Honda and spoke with the sales manager. He printed out a new carfax and brought it to me saying well here is your problem...Carfax did not report this until January 2012. Really? This is our problem?! We bought a certified used car from shady salesmen that we would have NEVER bought had we known this car had been in an accident. Now it is affecting our future! We have taken great care of our car and now will be geting very poor value to trade in for a new car because our car has been in an accident! And he is saying this is our problem...to take it up with carfax. This is a small town, with a large close-knit military community who probably supply a large amount of business...

Yesterday the check gas cap light came on in my Ridgeline. I had bought gas the day before, so I figured I had a problem. I stopped and checked the gas cap. It was tight. OK, so I drove a little bit hoping the error code would go away. It didn't. So off to Hall Honda of Elizabeth City. I drove right into the service bay. I didn't have an appointment nor did I call that I was coming. Whim, the service agent I see all the time called me by name and asked what's up. I told him my problem. He turned and called a service mechanic to check out the error code. No sooner then I could open the door of my truck then the mechanic was there, checked the code, reset the code and all was done. A quick explanation of what probably happened and I was off on my way home. Whim thanks once again for taking care of my and my two Hondas. Any other dealership would have had me waiting. I didn't even have to take the keys out of the ignition. This is just another example of the superior service I have come to expect from Hall Honda of Elizabeth City. A side note to this. I live closer to another Honda dealership, but I always return to Hall Honda in Elizabeth City. They treat their customers right.

On October 5 2012, I have purchased a 2007 Dodge Caliber from Hall Honda Elizabeth City. I was informed by the dealer that this car had underwent inspection and that it did not have any issues; also that this car was mechanically sound and safe to drive. However in less than two weeks after I brought this car the engine light came on in the car; so i carried the car to the dealerships service station. During the first visit the service team at the dealership couldn't find anything wrong with the vehicle and just cleared the engine light reading from inside the car. In less than a week later the engine light in the car came on again so I took it back to the dealership again. This time they informed me that the catylic converter went out in the car and that i have to take it to their Virgina beach location to get it fixed. So i headed over to their Virgina beach location and they gave it a look over and then they told me that it wasn't the catylic convertor that went out that it was the wiring and that in order for them to fix it was going to cost me around $400.00. I was very angry and i informed him that i had just purchased this vehicle two weeks ago and asked him shouldn't be covered by the extended warranty i brought with the car? The dealership then informed me that none of my warranties covered what was wrong with the car. So I called the sales manger to inform him of what was going on. The sales manger told me to drive the car home and that he would take care of it so i wouldn't have to pay anything. So as I was driving the car home; the car was literately smoking so i stopped the car at the local Sam's Club at Virgina Beach and called Hall again and they told me to keep driving home and that the smoking should soon subside. I did as they said and the car smoked the entire one and half hour drive.Two days later Hall called agian and told me that they made another appointment for me to go back to thier Virgina Beach location. So I headed back to their Virgina Beach location and they replaced the wiring. Then two weeks after that vist my engine light came on agian so i headed back to Hall to find out what else was going on with my car. Turns out that it was the catylic convertor that went out and i had to go back to their Virgina beach location. I went back and they replaced the catylic convertor. Another month later I got into the car getting ready to go to work and i tried to back out and my car wouldn't move. I turned it off and looked around to try to see what was going on with the car and a saw that under the car it was huge pool of purple like fluid coning from my car. I called Hall yet agian and told them what happened; they were like no problem they were going to tow my car to the dealership at no cost to me. They then towed my car and it was in the shop for close to two weeks and not only did i have to pay for the repair but for the tow bill as well. After that incident my cd player inside the car keeps malfunctioning and i found that the car was leaking oil so once again i took the car back to the dealership. Once again they tell me that these repairs were not covered by warranty and that i would have to pay another $500.00. Once agian i spoke to the sales manger and i told him at this point that they sold me a car that wasn't any good and they need to refund me the money or get me a reliable vehicle. He told me there was nothing he could do. So now im stuck paying for a car every month that i can't drive.

Purchased by Honda Accord coupe a few days ago. My salesperson was Brian who was very knowledgeable and helpful. Everyone who works there is very friendly and do not pressure you in any way. They were able to stay within by budget and offer me a deal I could not refuse. The buying process was easy and I was able to drive off in my 'new' Honda within a couple of hours. I would highly recommend this dealer to everyone. My salesperson even called a few days later to make sure everything was OK and if I had any questions about my vehicle.

I needed a new car and had heard great things about Hall Honda. I decided to give them a try. I walked up and automatically had a fantastic time! I had a great salesman and he worked very hard to put me in what -I WANTED-. He was wonderful and the conversation was great. By the way, Hall Honda's employees do not work on commission so they aren't trying to sale you a car so they can make more money, they want to work for you. The only problem I had was that it took them a while to get all the final papers together for me to sign. They were really busy soon after my deal started getting underway. My salesman said "I don't want to sale you one car, I want to sale you all of your cars for the rest of your life." I am going to hold him to it!!

Lets see where do we begin. First I was guaranteed one price on my trade in and interest rate on the phone. I arrived and all of the sudden they pull some bogus carfax on my truck and said my airbags had been deployed which is totally false. So they only gave me half of what they said they would on my truck then the interest rate they quoted me suddenly changed to a higher rate and no one remembered telling me the original rate. Then their carfax never revealed the truck had damage to the right side and was painted. No one said anything about that until we were signing papers. Now not even 600 miles later from when I bought it I take it to a hall auto in va beach after I finally recieve my transfer of tags registration to get a va state inspection and they tell me the rear brakes barely pass and to contact Elizabeth city because they should pay to replace them. I call my salesman David shope and he says they are not responsible to replace them because their service dept said the were fine during there so called guaranteed certificate check BS. Now I'm getting the run around. I am contacting th BBB as well as others here have, maybe they can help notify people to stay clear of this place.

While in town to visit family we purchased a "certified" 2009 CRV with 66000 miles. We were a little concerned about the mileage, but were assured that as part of teh certification program all maintenance through 70000 had been done. We went ahead with the purchase. After driving the vehicle for 3 months we took to the local dealer in Hickory for routine service (oil change tire rotatrion, and alignment). Upon completing there initial evaluation they showed us that the factory seals on the transmission, and rear differential were untouched, both air filters were filthy, and the rear brake pads were down to less than 2 mm thickness. All of these items are included in the 150 point certification, or part of 60000 mile service, none of which had been done. So instead of a couple of hundred bucks for routine maintenance we ended spending nearly 800.00 for the 60000 mile service and brakes. We bought a Honda due to the great reputation for longevity, and customer service. If this this Honda's idea of customer service it will be our last Honda.

This was our second new car purchased at Hall in Elizabeth City. The first was 3 years ago when the dealership opened in Elizabeth City. Our salesman was Andrew Burridge, who is now a sales manager. This time we had David Shope. For a person who isn't fond of car salesmen, the people there have to be the friendliest. There is absolutlely no pressure. They go out of their way to accomodate the customer's needs and wishes. I felt like family when I left. I would recommend all my friends and family to visit and maybe even purchase a vehicle from here. Oh and I can't forget William Dekker from the Service Dept., he actually remembers you when you come in for service. Can you say that about other dealeships, if not, visit Hall Honda of Elizabeth City and tell David I sent you.

These People are out to get your money and then leave you out to dry when you need warranty work done. The service department is way overpriced and they always try to up sell you on services that you don't need. My wife brought her Brand new accord in for a warranty repair and they tried to fix it three different times and couldn't get it right so they said we must have done something to the trunk but we don't even use it, and they dinted the top of the trunk while trying to Repair it, and tried to say it was already like that. So now we have dents all over our brand new car because of their amateur "mechanics" that obviously didn't know what they were doing. The bottom line is take your business elsewhere because they don't care about their customers, once they get your money they toss you aside like trash. Good luck.

Corey Seymore is a great service advisor, he was attentive to my situation and very knowledgeable. He allowed me to vent to the service manager without repercussion and was compassionate, yet firm. I purchased my new vehicle from Hall Honda a year ago and it was a most satisfying experience! I was given prompt, courteous service and each employee took great care to make sure I was comfortable with the financial aspect of the purchase. They also advised me of what the procedure was in case I had any further questions or concerns once I got the vehicle home. I was contacted a couple of times for the first three months of ownership by the salesman and asked if everything was going well and if there were any questions or concerns I had.My vehicle was due for normal service (oil change) and state inspection. When setting up the appointment, the employee was very courteous and professional. The appointment was set up for the same day. When I dropped off my vehicle, I was met by the service technicial with a big smile and warm greeting. As he was getting the documents ready, he inquired if I would like a "courtesy" carwash after the service work was performed. He also stated that they would be performing an additional 21 point inspection and top off all fluids at no charge. He explained fully and in detail what service they would be performing and asked if that would be satisfactory or if I would like something further taken care of. Then he informed me that he would be giving me a call once the service was completed.When I picked up my vehicle, the technician went over the results of the inspection with me and asked if I had any questions. I was given written documentation of each item completed and the results of the inspection.I was treated with upmost courtesy and professionalism. I plan to remain a loyal customer of Hall Honda and will definitely sing their praises to all my friends!

I originally commented that I had an unpleasant experience. However I will retract that statement and say that Hall Honda of Elizabeth City will back up thier used cars. I was reimbursed for my battery that died shortly after I purchased the vehicle. The General Manager David Rodgers was very concerned that I felt I had "slipped through the cracks." In reality, For whatever reason, going through the internet was not as pleasant as going and talking to David Rodgers in person. So for anyone with any problems, I suggest to go to them first in person. And I feel you will be pleasantly surprised.

After hopping from car lot to car lot in the Tidewater area and growing accustomed to pushy salesmen... my husband and I were referred to Hall Honda of Elizabeth City by a family friend. Though it was a bit out of our way and we were pleasantly surprised upon our arrival. We were greeted (not pounced on) by a very knowledgeable salesman, AJ, who proceeded to walk around the car we were eying, and informed us of many features and benefits of the vehicle.... instead of immediately talking price! The managers Jamey and Bill, who also assisted us with our investment, went out of their way to answer all of our questions and concerns and were also warm and knowledgeable. All and all, our experience was more like becoming members of the Hall family.. rather than the cold, car buying experience we were anticipating. The before mentioned three men made life long customers of our family, and we will be sure to spread the word!

Took my '03 civic in because it was overheating during a vacation in North Carolina. I was told I had a blown head gasket and needed a new engine. I was quoted over $3500 to fix all of this. We towed the car home and took it to a different garage for a second opinion. This garage advised me that the head gasket was fine, not even warped. I only needed a new thermostat and the connection to the radiator fan was not secured. Also suggested a radiator flush but advised me that the engine was fine. After doing this work (which was less than $100), the car has been running perfectly. I am upset that Hall Honda tried to charge me over $3500 for a new engine & head gasket that were not even damaged. I was also pressured into just accepting a trade in of $2500 for my car (which is worth over $5000 now that it is running fine) and to purchase a new car from them. This dealership caused a lot of unnecessary stress on our family vacation. I always expected good service from Honda dealerships (and have received it from other Honda dealers in my hometown). In retrospect, I believe taking the car to a small garage over Hall Honda would have been a better choice for this situation.

We have actually been dealing with this Honda dealer for several years now. We purchased our last Honda, in 2007 from them when they were named StateLine Honda and located in Moyock, NC. Although we were originally looking at new cars, when David the salesman mentioned to us the 2011 Accord he had for sale, we were intrigued. After looking at this vehicle, we knew that was it. We have been Honda owners since 1989, first purchasing a civic, then a 1994 Accord wagon, a 2000 Accord LX and a 2007 Civic EX with leather. Needless to say, they didn't have to sell us on the brand. Anyway, the entire experience was wonderful. From the original phone call made by my wife to their Internet Coordinator, Alice to the first impression by David. Speaking of David, we were very impressed not only with his customer service skills but with his complete knowledge of the Honda line. We met the Sales Manager, Jaime who was also very pleasant to speak with. David, the General Manager was equally friendly and we came away from the entire experience with a feeling that we had been treated as genuine friends by the entire staff. I don't recall the Finance person's name, but I believe his last name is Hudson. Very nice gentleman who was very thorough and took his time going over every option available to us, although we decided to pay cash. We certainly recommend that others patronize this establishment, for we know that they too, will come away feeling that they have just met some additional family members for the first time. We plan on taking all of our vehicles to them for service from now on.

I had the opportunity to work with Jamey and Frank. When I began shopping for my next car wasn't sure what I wanted to purchase but I knew it was time for a new one. After getting to know me Jamey and Frank were able to find me the perfect Honda element. This SUV couldn't fit me better. It is perfect for my dog, my beach lifestyle, and tailgating adventures. Jamey made sure he found something affordable, safe, and reliable. I live in Virginia Beach but my care was in Elizabeth City. Instead of having me make the long drive back down to Elizabeth City, Jamey had the car and paperwork sent to me. Frank made sure I knew all of the ins and outs of the vehicle. Frank was great and made me feel comfortable with whole process. I was never pressured or scared. They worked hard to for two days to find me the best financing. Both Frank and Jamey called to follow up with me to make sure I was still happy. I couldn't recommend a better place to purchase a vehicle. Everyone smiles at you and makes you feel welcome. They really do make you feel part of the hall family.

On Saturday May 7th, I lost my car keys while out on the beach at Nag's Head NC. I was alone, distraught, and quite frankly, scared to death! I had to get a towing service to bring my car up there because the key had a computer chip and couldn't be duplicated any other way. Before I went there, I was able to call Mr. Seymour to tell him what happened. I was pretty much in tears by this point and scared they would be closed by the time I got there and then things would really be scarey! Mr. Seymour was absolutely great; he calmed me right down and assured me everything would okay and that they would be there when we arrived. What a relief that was! When we got there, they were just as nice in person and just as reassuring. They even washed my car for me which was over and above the call of duty! Anyway, I just wanted you all to know that I would recommend these folks to anybody (especially to someone who is having a crisis with their Honda!) If I lived in the area, (I live south of Winston-Salem, NC.) I definitely would buy my next Honda from them. God bless them all!

Cory was the primary mech that serviced my vehicles throughout this period with Wim as the service manager/consultant. I highly recommend Hall Honda for service. I have a 2002 Honda Accord which has been serviced there for almost all of its 115,000 miles. I have always had great customer service from the first phone call to paying the bill. Last week, I couldnt avoid a large (about five feet of arched metal that looked about 3 inches wide and an inch thick) piece of metal that came rolling from the vehicle ahead of me on the freeway; which went under the car. No leaks or difficulties-whew! The next day, three indicator lights came on including the check engine light. I was out of town and it was Friday night. I read the manual, called and spoke with Wim Dekker Sat morning. I described the situation. He gave me the number of a Honda dealer in Baltimore which wasnt open. So, I went to an auto repair center four blocks away; concerned with safety. I was told my transmission was failing (about $4,000). I wasnt comfortable with the assessment; nor this big decision. I again talked with Wim that afternoon. I drove the car without incident 300miles home. I didnt feel anything different. The check engine light was still on; the others not. In the end it was determined my transmission was fine. I needed re-alignment and wheel balancing to make a smoother ride. Thanks, Dawn Cogger

Last year, we bought a Honda from this dealership, for my wife. My vehicle is a Jeep. Since my first Jeep's tire rotation, I've had a problem with the tire balancing. I quit using the dealership; I blamed them for not being able to properly balance my wheels. After dealing with this problem for 5 years, I had my tires rotated by Norman Young,an excellent tire business. Finally, I got my answer. The WHEELS are warped. Since they don't sell wheels, I was forced to buy two new ones from the dealership. My wife also, asked Hall Honda if they could possibly look at the Jeep, just to get their '2nd' opinion. Corey Seymore told us to bring it right in. Corey sent it straight back to the service technicians. They put it on a lift and found the problem. YES, the wheels were warped. ALL of them! They went so far as to show us. SO..I will now get my new wheels, tires and never buy from my JEEP dealer again. Hall Honda went out of their way, to give us super excellent 'courtesy'service, on a vehicle I didn't even buy from them. The service dept. is of the highest quality, of any dealership, I've ever dealt with. The staff, ALL of the service dept, are friendly, very helpful, and just an excellent asset to the dealership. I would highly recommend this dealership to my family and friends...to anyone! EXCELLENT auto dealership. Thank you.

Dave Rodgers at Hall Honda in Elizabeth City, NC was the fourth dealership I contacted to trade our '07 Pilot for a '11 Pilot. Dave was the only person that took the time to acquire the exact vehicle I wanted from the assembly plant in AL. The other three dealerships wanted me to compromise on the vehicle by purchasing what they could locate instead of what I wanted.We made the deal on 01-11-2011; That afternoon he traded orders with a Maryland dealership; the car was built on 01-13-2011; Delivery was on 01-15-2011 and we picked it up on 01-18-2011. I used this dealer's online credit report in their website. Soon I got a message instructing me to call for the result of the report. When I called I was told that I was approved for a loan and I made an appointment to go in and pick out a car. When I got there the person I made the appointment with wasn't there. And I was told that my credit report had somehow become missing, yet they still had all of my personal info. They ran the credit report AGAIN and this time told me they couldn't approve me due to a problem on the report. So now I have had two credit reports run on me and my time wasted. And they have all of my personal information and refused to return all the paperwork I signed when I was there. I will never do business with this place now that the minor problem on my credit has been cleared up. They are liars and unethical. I have reported them to the BBB.

First and foremost my wife and I were greeted promptly by Alice Moncla, she immediatly welcomed us to Hall Honda of Elizebth City. We told her we were shopping for either a 2010 or 2011 Honda Accord EX-L V6 which had to be White Diamond Pearl in color. Her immediate response was lets get started. We told her up front what we were expecting (pice range for new car and expected trade-in value) of existing car. After locating our new vehichle we were able to come to a successful agreement within 30-45 minutes which made this experience worth the distance of driving from Chesapeake. We tried the same approach here in Chesapeake Virginia and the experience was totally a disaster, no one here in Chesapeake Virginia was interested in selling a car...it appears they were only trying to see how much they could swindle out of us. A Hearty salute goes out to Alice Moncla, she has the personality, patiencce, and drive to get the customer what they want.

We are a newly married couple and looking to be a young family in the near future. We were in the market for a 4 door sedan. The transition to a 4 door family car was not easy from a 2 door sports car, so we were still looking for "sporty". Honestly, our first interest was a 2009 Nissan Maxima. After visiting the Nissan dealership in town, and having our criteria and interests ignored by the salesmen, we visited Hall Honda of Elizabeth City. Even in the used car section of the lot, we were immediately greeted by Jamey Chapman. He listened to exactly what we were interested in, took his time to allow us to ask questions and browse, and put no pressure on us when a 2007 Honda Accord we test drove was not exactly what we were looking for. Shortly after, we revisited the lot to find a very sporty 2008 Accord V6 available, which ended up being exactly what we were in the market for. Our process from test driving the vehicle to signing the papers to drive home our first car together as a couple was smooth. We interacted with several other employees besides Jamey, and each was very friendly and welcoming to the dealership. We were definitely impressed with this dealership, and have found a great place to return in the future.

To be honest, I wasn't in the market for a new vehicle. Had carried my 2008 Accord EX-L in for service/inspection and was browsing the showroom while I waited. Was looking at the new Honda Crosstour and really like it but I had always wanted a Pilot. After talking with Mike he got the GM involved, Dave Jones, and the rest was history! I am now the proud owner of a 2011 Pilot EX-L and love it!! They were the best to deal with but I already knew that because we had bought the Accord from their sister store in Va Beach. Because we live in NC, I had always taken it to Moyock, now Elizabeth City, for servicing, etc. and never had a bad experience. They have always been first class in everyway to me. I would never buy a Honda from any other dealer.

We had the misfortune of having an accident while on vacation in the Outer Banks and needed to have our Pilot repaired - it was not capable of being driven. Wim Dekkeer in the service department immediately recognized the difficult situation I was in 400 miles from home and coordinated an insurance appraisal, technician review, and ordering of parts within 2 hours of the vehicle arriving at the dealership! Throughout the process, Mr. Dekker treated my as if I were a life long repeat customer and ensured this accident did not become the focal point of our vacation - "leave it to me he assured." I doing so, our vehicle was repaired ahead of schedule and as good as new. Moreoever, when there was a post repair issue that needed addressing, Mr. Dekker didn't shy away from the issue, rather he met it head on and obtained a resolution within 25 minutes. In short- service of this type is exceptional and never forgotten. To our new friends at Hall Honda - especially Mr. Dekker - thank you from New Jersey!!

I had been having the very worst time obtaining a vehicle, my credit was not so good and no one would work with me. Contacted Hall Honda of Elizabeth City, spoke with Jamie Chapman and he was able to get me in a BEAUTIFUL new Honda CRV. My experience over the past several months was not only disappointing but embaressing as well. I never felt that way at anytime while dealing with Jamie (the best ever salesman) or Mr. Forman (the awesome finance guy) These gentleman were not only extremely nice, but very informative and have a great sense of humour. I have only had my Honda for 3 days and not only have I recommended the salesman and dealership, I have not shut-up about how great driving my new vehicle is. We stoped by to look at the Honda Odyssey Minivan. A.J. met us and showed us a new Odyssey. We were very impressed as he knew all the statistics and everything about the car and pointed out all we needed to know. We looked at other dealers and came back to Hall because of the service and knowledge A.J. showed us. We told him what we wanted and was told the car would be available that day (being brought down from Virginia Beach, VA). Met with the manager of the dealership and then the finance man and were extremely impressed with everyone we dealt with. They are definitely there to serve you and really know their product. One of my least favorite things to do is haggle over buying or leasing a new car. I met with Art Cohen and his staff after a frustrating meeting at my local Acura dealer. This was, by far, the best experience I have ever had. He didn't worry you with questions like "How much do you want to pay?". He listened to you and actually had a conversation about what I wanted in a car. He gave you what you asked for when you walked in - a great deal, a fair price and a great vehicle. I think the whole process was 2 hours and that included picking up the car a few days later and signing all the paperwork. I would recommend Art and his team anyday. It was worth the drive (I passed 2 other Honda dealers on the way).

I live approx 70mi from this dealership and had purchased my 2004 odyssey there as a new vehicle. So while shopping with my wife I decided to drop by and see if it were possible to get some questions answered about service and maybe schedule a time for some repairs if needed. Wim and Maurice were great as usual! They took my van in right away with consideration for how far I had to travel. All task were completed in a timely manner at a reasonble cost, and they even washed my vehicle. I'm here to tell you customer service is alive and well at Hall Honda in Elizabeth City. The service was great, Enjoyed my visit there. The Service adviser was a great help and nice to talk to. The cashier was a very pleasant person. And everyone that I talked to there were very pleasant and help full. Everyone seemed to care about pleasing the customer, a great experience. This is the way all places should be. I received the usual great service at Hall Honda, Elizabeth City. They scheduled me in the very next day and were prompt in their service. There were two recommendations beyond what was scheduled and they offered guidance on the timing of replacing the battery and cabin filter. I chose to do both in this service. David and his team consistently offer excellent service.

I found Hall Honda of Elizabeth City when their lot was in Moyock NC. That is roughly 25 miles from Elizabeth City. I had visited other Honda dealers up in the Tidewater area of VA. One dealer ship was too busy and the salesman was looking for a quick sale. He didn't seem to have an interest in what my wife and I were looking for. The other dealship, that salesman could have been a used car dealer in a movie. Again, not listening to my needs. He wanted me to buy a car off the lot that was a real "steal of a deal". Again, listen to me, I'll tell you what I want.I decided to stop at Hall Honda of Elizabeth City(was in Moyock) even tho they were a small lot and I didn't think they would have what I wanted. That is when I met the most laid back car salesman I've ever met, Mr. Len Meritz. He took more time to show my wife and I different cars that he thought we would like to own. As he listened to us (my wife) he finally determined what we really needed we had not asked about. That is the Odyssey. We took a test drive and the van sold itself. We bought the van. In a day we returned and took the dealerships offer of trading up which we did. We liked the upscaled van and believe it or not went back in a few more days and traded up to the Touring model of the Odyssey. You wouldn't belive the treatment we got doing this trading. I thought boy we will have to go through some stuff to pull this off. I figured I'd be stuck and have to live with what I bought. Actually nothing wrong with what I bought, I just wanted to upsize my van. Len and the sales manager both helped us to get the van we wanted and it was actually painless. What a difference from the other dealerships that lost a big sale because their salesman didn't listen and give me that personal touch that Honda of Elizabeth City always gives me.Now when I go for maintenance its like going to visit family. Even the young lady that is the cashier takes time to chat and listen. I actually like going to get my van serviced. And their prices have been very resonable. One other point. I pass two other Honda dealerships in the course of my typical day. I live in NC and work in VA. I could easily stop at either one and have my van serviced. But I choose to go 25 miles one way, out of my way, to go to Elizabeth City Honda. They have quality cars, service and sales. None better. The new dealership in ECity is sparkling and shiny. The showroom and parking lots are neat and well thought out. Shane Wolf sold me my 2008 Accord Coupe, and I highly recommend him. He is professional, and an excellent salesperson; very low-key and patient. The service department is a real stand out. I love the drive in bays (keeps you out of the weather and makes you -and your car- feel special). Maurice and Wim are the service reps I see most often. They are customer service pros. I always enjoyed going to State Line Honda in Moyock. Now that they have moved to Elizabeth City, into a state-of-the-art facility (and only five miles from home for me), I will not be taking my Accord anywhere else.

For the past 6 years we have only used Hall Stateline and now sinced they moved Hall Honda Elizabeth City for all of our service needs. They are now 35 minutes from home but we would not consider going elsewhere. We always feel welcomed and now after being with them for so long we feel like family.

These guys were fantastic! If we could rate them a "6" on a 5-pt scale, we would. We were stuck on Saturday afternoon 2pm of Memorial Day weekend with a major car problem. They got right to work and had us back on the road by 5pm. We were very fortunate because there were no auto rentals open at the time and we were still 2 hours from our destination at the time of the car problem. They were very hospitable and understanding of our situation and gave us top-notch attention and service.Would not hesitate to recommend Hall Honda to anyone!Thanx again, Hall Honda -- and especially Maurice Dawson (Supervisor) and Andy Leonard (Technician)

I followed Hall Honda of Moyock to their new location in Elizabeth City because of their excellent customer service & technical expertise. I have found that I can always rely on their advice and workmanship. When I was faced with the question of repairs on my car versus buying a new car, I asked for advice on the overall condition/lifespan of my car. The service dept helped me by evaluating the car and as it turned out, it was quite feasible to go ahead and have the repairs done. I am now happily still driving the same car and it runs even better than ever. I really appreciate that the staff will take the time to talk with me and educate me about the car. As a physician who can be called out at anytime day or night, I especially appreciate that these guys keep me safe on the road 24-7.

I purchased my Honda Accord from State Line Honda in Moyock, and have been eagerly awaiting their move to Elizabeth City. This was my first time receiving service at the dealership. This is a first rate facility with all the conveniences for a smooth experience. You just drive up to the service area, the garage door opens automatically, and the staff takes it from there. Maurice was very friendly and efficient in booking my appointment. He gave me several different time options to suit my convenience. He gave me an estimated time frame when I brought the car in, and my car was ready earlier than the given time. The waiting area is pleasant, with television, magazines, vending machines, and a clean restroom. I especially appreciated the free car wash! I had a very good experience here and will be back.

When I first went to Hall Honda I was just looking. I have never owned a Honda before. Their approach and manner won me over straight away. Instead of just looking, I was leaving the lot with my new Honda Fit. I love this car. I did some research before hand, checking out different companies and fuel efficient automobiles and this car won me over. My overall total experience at this dealership was wonderful. They made it a place you want to come back to if for nothing more than just a cup of coffee and conversation. They are the best!

Every visit to this dealer is a positive experience. They are not like other car dealers. I've lost track of how many vehicles I have purchased in my life time. I bought my 1998 Honda Accord from this dealership right off the truck in 1998. Since that time, I have always taken my car back to this dealership for service, even though I lived in Virginia, because I was always treated with courtesy and professionalism by the service staff.The time has now come that I must give up my 1998 Honda because my son just got his drivers license and he wants my well-taken-care-of Honda badly. However, I will not hessitate to buy another new Honda from this dealership because of the wonderful experience I've had with all the employees at this dealership over the last ten years.

We were very happy with our experience with this dealership. Our salesman, Frank Brown was excellent. He was friendly, upbeat and a pleasure to work with. Frank took us for a test drive and explained all the features of the car (Accord). When we went back the next day to pick up the car, it was ready at the time promised. Frank took us to the Service Dept, and introduced us to the Service staff (all very friendly). Frank walked us out to our new Accord and made sure we were familiar with all the features before we drove off. He was great and I would recommend him to anyone.I would also recommend this dealership (which is moving to its brand new facility in Elizabeth City, NC). They gave us a fair price on our trade-in as well as on the new Accord. The Accord is a great car and has a really solid feel to it. We had test driven a Toyota Camry but the Accord has a much better look and feel to it.

We have dealt with Mr. Dekker for 10-15 years in the service department. We have always found him to be more than helpful and friendly. He always goes that extra mile to be sure that our service is satisfactory. He explains everything that needs to be done when we bring the car in and their are no surprises. Communication with the customer is very good and you feel that you are being treated like they would like to be if they were the customer.

I have bought four Hondas from Stateline; and even though I live in Sufolk, VA, I have taken all four of them back there for sevice. To get there, I pass by a brand new Honda dealership in Great Bridge. Also, I plan to stick with them when they move and become Hall Honda--Elizabeth City.Currently, I drive a 2001 CRV which has over 190,000 miles on it, but is in excellent condition thanks to the great service provided by technician, Gregg Cope. It is a pleasure to deal with him and with service adviser, Wim Dekker, who schedules appointments for me and greets me so enthusiastically when I arrive.Truth be known, my visits there are more than car business. They are social in nature, as well. For not only do I enjoy talking with Gregg and Wim, I have a good time talking with Rob and Maurice, too.
