just experienced some pretty inadequate salesmanship from this company. if the "front line" is this shoddy, i can only imagine what the product may turn out to be. would not recommend this company in the least.

The best car buying experience for me ever!!! I bought a fifteen year old car from these folks (albeit only 33,000 miles) and a car that is known to be a little temperamental. I had a few issues within a couple of hours of driving away and ended up having a list of items that needed attention. THawley Motors never got fed up with my list and over the weeks have resolved every issue all free of charge without a murmur of complaint. Not once did they ever invoke the "you bought it as is what did you expect" The car was not an expensive car compared to others on the lot but the attention and courtesy afforded me was way beyond what I have ever experienced from a car dealership and even better than other experiences that I have had - even buying new. The two Dan's are easy to deal with, straight forward and honest people. I would have no hesitation in recommending these guys to anyone looking for a great deal and a great buying experience.

Visited Hawley to purchase a corvette. Ending up purchasing a vet and asked about warranty since it was used. The owner said limited warranty but if anything happens within 30 days we will stand by it. Well my car had 3700 miles on it and after driving it for 7 days the car did not start right away. Took it back to Hawley and they said take it to our mechanic and we will take care of it. Mechanic said it needs a new fuel pump and it will take a couple of days to get part and then 11 hours to fix. Should not be a problem because this will be covered. I did not hear from the mechanic for 5 days so called and he stated he was waiting for Hawley to give approval. Finally after 10 days I went to the mechanic and asked what was going on. Said Hawley has not approved yet. I drove to Hawley and they said it was not covered and they would not pay $1500 for the repair. I could not believe this especially since I have been without my car for 10 days and they did not have the guts to tell me. Anyway DO NOT buy a car from this DEALER. They don't care what happens after you drive off the lot.

I had a great experience. I found a C5 corvette with extremely low miles online and emailed some questions. I got a response the following morning and drove down to see it a day later. They were friendly and courteous from the moment I arrived. The car was exactly as described and I found the whole process to be smooth and worry free. They went out of their way to allow me to take the car home the same day even though it was a bank holiday and I couldn't move any money till the following day.

I bought a 2000 Ford from Hawley Motors and it was a very pleasant experience. The van was every thing they said it was and very clean. I will keep them in mind when I am looking for another vehicle even though I will have to drive about 80 miles.

I've been buying cars from the Hawley's since the early 90's, it's always easy and they always stand behind their cars. Unlike other car buying experiences they're quick, efficient and helpful. In the past, if something happened just after a purchase, they always worked with me to get a repair done and in some cases they covered the whole cost. I was strapped for time on my most recent purchase so I signed the deal I wanted and told them, "if you can make that happen, bring the car to me tomorrow." By lunchtime the next day my new car was delivered to my work along with the paperwork, we did it in my office in about 15 minutes!! Dan and Dave are the best!!

I can only say. Make sure that 100% of everything works on the car before you sign the papers. Should anything not function be prepared to pay a mechanic to do repairs plus parts. My cost? A WHOLE lot more than what I expected and learned a expensive lesson.

I bought a 2008 Miata with 30K miles. Drove off the lot and engine light came on. I took the car to Mazda for a used car evaluation and was informed of a hole in the radiator, cracked coolant reservoir and broken washer fluid pump. Had to take the car back to Hawley for repairs at their mechanic who kept the car for 1 week. That mechanic claimed additional repair needed for radiator fan (wonder if he broke it?). Bottom line...I had to pay an additional $585 for a very sick car, poor service and a week without a car. Note to self and others...do not buy a used car from Hawley.

I was hesitant about going to a small used car dealer but they just happened to have the car I was looking for. I couldn't have been happier with the experience. When I offered to run to the bank to get a cashier's check they said that's OK, we'll take a personal check. When I explained I had to move some money from savings to checking tey said that's OK, we'll hold the check until you tell us to cash it. Not many places operate with that level of trust anymore. Made me feel like I was dealing with a friend. I highly recommend you check them out the next time you are looking for a used car.

I certain add my very positive comment and rating to those already here. I was shopping around online for a used Corvette, and stumbled across a 2008 at Hawley Motor Sales that I found interesting and sent a couple inquiries. If you have the opportunity to deal with Richard, you will be treated with respect and an honesty that was very refreshing. I ended up purchasing that Corvette a few days later and exchanging a few phone calls to discuss price, delivery options ad so forth. I must say, the entire process was professionally handled, and between Richard and Linda. The entire transaction took place via the electronic media and telephone. Richard went out of his way yo help obtain a transport company at a great price to bring my 'new' cruiser to WV. And it was exactly as described by Richard, and yes, even though I felt very comfortable with what Richard was saying, all apprehension about buying sight unseen disappeared! Thank you Richard, Linda, Jim and Hawley Motor Sales. I recommend you consider them in your car search, And I also add, the Corvette was at a very fair price!

For me to rate them as five star is doing them a disservice. I found the exact Jeep I was looking for on Cars.com. However it was located almost 100 miles away from me. There was no way I was going to drive that far, hoping I could cut a fair deal with my trade in. They said, No problem. Well bring the Jeep down to you, drive it, check it out and if you like it well work on a deal. Before they brought it to me, I checked the Car Fax and noticed that there was a manufacturer recall on the vehicle which the previous owner had never responded to. I asked them if they could have it taken care of before they brought the vehicle down to me and they did. They showed up with the Jeep the next day. I drove it and fell in love with it. They checked out my trade in and we cut a deal in the Sams Club parking lot. They did the tag transfer and title over the phone and gave me temporary hand written paperwork (I had the originals the next day). After turning over a certified check to them, I noticed a few things missing that had to be addressed. There was no spare key, the front license plate holder which was in the picture had been removed and there was no Owners Manual or Navigation Manual. They took me to the local Jeep dealer and replaced everything. No small feat, as the key alone was $300 (remote starting). I was treated with the utmost respect and fairness.

Traded up from a 2000 to 2004 bette. Great dealership with solid product. Felt my business was appreciated. Had one issue and they hooked me up with a great repair shop. I offered to split the bill, but they paid the entire thing! Easily recommend these guys.

For more than 20 years the only task of mine in getting a new auto was to select the make, model & color then my spouse managed the price negotiation, loan, insurance, registration and if they should toss on new tires. Now on my own, new to the sunny state & in need of wheels had to venture into the wonderful world of auto sales yikes! To get my wheels rolling, I began browsing dealer lots after hours. I became an after hours regular at Hawley Motor Sales just to see what they may have added. It was visible the used cars on this lot were stylish and gently used, they all looked great! The cutest little Mini Cooper showed up on the lot and I was off the lot and in the door before lunch. The dream team at Hawley Motors had me insured, registered and motoring happily down Tamiami Trail in a couple hours. Buying a car should be fun, these guys can make it happen for you too. I highly recommend this dealership.

When I set out looking for a particular vehicle to meet my needs, I knew what I wanted and was willing to travel out of state to find it. Before I looked too far elsewhere, I checked out local private owners and local Dealers through Cars.com. Hawley's has been around a long time and has always had a great reputation for "doing what's right" for customers. I had gotten a tip that there might be something I was looking for near McIntosh and Clark Road in Sarasota. Man, was I happy to see JUST WHAT I WAS LOOKING FOR (complete with a CarFax Report) and sitting in a newly established Hawley's Used Auto Lot! Manager Kevin Groom was knowledgeable of the vehicles on his lot, as well as taking personal interest in meeting our needs in which vehicle we wanted and in overall Customer Care from start to finish of purchase. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS DEALER!

I have had nothing but outstanding help throughout buying of this vehicle from all the people i have dealt with at Hawley Motor Sales. Very professional on all they have done for me. I am currently in Afghanistan and they have made buying this car nothing but easy. Skip is great to talk too and Linda and Matt made sure i was getting a good deal from the bank and making sure that all paperwork was in order. So far all is great and they said they will have my car in Washington State when i get home at the end of July for my R&R. Bought a '08 RX350 two months ago, they gave me the lowerst price the first time I asked for it. This car was super clean, and had all maintenace records. I highly recommend Hawley Motor Sales if you want a nice car without paying for new car prices!

they told us the battery was fixed and new and oil change was done just before we be got the car - we are sorry, but those things were never made by Hawley Motor sales, just stupid stories for us :-(
