I have been dealing with Staten Island Honda for nearly 20 years and have generally left satisfied with the price. My current lease is up soon so I paid a visit to start talking prices for a new vehicle. I was simply laughed at and handed a card. I've been dealing with leases for years and I am used to the game of haggling that goes on. I also am not naive enough to ask for an unreasonably low price. I do not appreciate being laughed at. Staten Island Honda does not have to sell me a car. That this their preoperative. I have plenty of other options to go elsewhere. However, there is no reason for the rudeness. I am a customer, not an interloper. I've heard from other people that the sales department at Staten Island Honda has gotten very cocky and rude. I suppose that they know that Honda is a great brand (the best for the money, in my opinion) and that loyal Honda customers will always buy the car regardless of their salesmanship. They are correct that I will always buy Honda. However, I will buy from another dealership or even a leasing agency. I will not give my business to Staten Island Honda this time around. I know plenty of people that have stopped going to Staten Island Honda because of the rudeness of the salesman there. They now give their business to Bay Ridge Honda (right over the bridge) or one of the local and nearby leasing companies.

went onto their website and saw a car i was interested in. the listing had no pictures or any info. so i emailed amanda at the internet department and asked for some pics. i got back was a voicemail telling me to come in to the dealership to see the car (An hour from where i live). several days passed and still no pics. i emailed again. amanda responded she did not have any pictures and that i should come in to see the car.i responded that she should have a salesman take the pictures. she responded that she would see about it.obviously this dealer is only interested in getting customers into the showroom rather than actually helping them and answering questions.if it was possible to rate them zero stars i would.FOLLOW UP: I received a voice mail from Anthony Schifano telling me the reason they could not send pics is because the car has a pending recall and is waiting to be detailed. Sorry, but that is just BS.

I brought my 2007 fit Mother's Day 2006. When I bring my car in for oil change they check everything, I took my three friend, my Aunty and brother wife ( all females) They are all happy with their purchases. They like the service they received. My Aunty drove two hours to get Staten Island because she like the service. Jeff is like a super hero !! He takes very good care of his costumers as well as his team.

I went in to get pricing on a civic lease. After a negotiation I was told a price with no money down. I had to return the next day due to time constraints. The next day they handed me the paperwork with all new fees. When I complained, the manager came over and said I was given bad infomation. I left and got a car somewhere else.

My wife and I went here today to test drive a CRV. When approached by the salesperson he was very rude since we did not have an appointment. He said they don't usually test drive on Sundays?!?! and they were very busy (there was one other family there already being helped!) So we walked out and said we will just go across the street to Subaru. Then we realized they have the same owners. We will be purchasing our car from Brooklyn or New Jersey!

Shocking that Honda allows this place to operate under its brand. The only good news was that I found the make and model and color car i was looking for with low milage. In short the only good thing about this place was its inventory and that needed some work as i will explain. The negatives of my experience with Staten Island Honda are many. For starters the car was a 2011 (making it just about 5 years old)...when I asked the salesmen if it was certified pre-owned he said they do not certify anything older than 3 years. I found out that this is true on a dealer to dealer basis and that they could have certified the car for me but didn't. Not only would they not certify the car they would not budge on "internet' price, which was very frustrating considering drove 2 hrs each way to get the car. The layout of the dealership is even shady. They sit you in a corner cubicle away from the manager's office so that when they go ask on for a better deal you cannot actually see them do it. My salesman could have went to the bathroom for all I know. He came back and said Im sorry I asked and we cant move on this proce. Oh! and the car came with 1 key! I had to pay 100+ dollars for a spare...they refused to make one for me. Not wanting to commute a second time I hoped that I would be able to take the car right away but was told I had to wait a day because they had to get car "ready for me". I asked if that meant they would touch up areas of the car where there were small chips of paint and scratches on rear bumper and I was told yes we will do the best we can but we need to get the car inspected and cleaned for you. The touch up work was minimal if any at all. Since they would not budge on the price and I asked them to thrown in a free touch up paint pen and the salesmen Ray told me that they would have to order it because Honda no longer uses taffeta white (According to my local Honda dealership this is a very popular color and they had the pen in stock for 12 bucks). Other annoying aspects to my experience with the car and SI Honda was: The car came with no user manuals at all. The front plastic license plate holder was broken. It has since been replaced for 14 bucks from amazon. The radio was locked upon purchase (thank god there was a sticker with code in glove box). The second most unbelievable part of the experience (first being no spare key) there was no jack or tire iron in the trunk. I still cannot believe that they got that one past me. It still is unthinkable that a Honda dealership selling a used vehicle (A Honda) would not pay attention to small details that would be relatively cheap to better serve their customers. I give this Honda dealership a big thumbs down. I feel like the people there could care less if I bought a car from them or not. As for financing look out! These guys are snakes. I have excellent credit and they offered me 6.5%. I was able through my car insurance's bank get 3.5% and I am sure if I shopped around more I could have done much better.

Went there for a pre-owned Honda. The salesman had me waiting over 30 minutes, then he said the price was non/negotiable, non-negotiable on a used car? As I was ready to leave he asked me to wait because the manage likes to speak with customers, after another 10 minute wait he came back and said " my manager is too busy for you". This place is just awful.

I have taken my beautiful 2016 Honda Accord Sport from the Staten Island Honda dealership at the begining of the November. I was impressed with a quality of service and the atmosphere at the dealership. Initially this dealership was choosen cause of great deals on their web site. I received a decent discount on the car plus extremely usefull Honda Sensing package for about a half of its price. I am not that long in the USA, that is why I am still building my credit history. I had no chance to get a regular financing from the bank, cause my credit file is too thin. Staten Islan Honda manager helped me to obtain an afordable financing and I was able to drive my brand new car home at the same evening. I would like to say special thanks to Vladimir Shtrakhman, senior sales manager, who helped me to buy the car and overcome a language barrier. I highly recommend Staten Island Honda to everyone. I went to have my water pump and timing belt replaced, two days later my alternator and battery died. The manager said it was a coincidence. The car was running fine before this service. Everything cost me $2850 for a 2002 Odyssey. I noticed in the past whenever I had service there something would always go wrong a few weeks afterwards. Even when I'd go for an oil change, they'd always find something that needed fixing. The last few times I went back was only for an air bag recall. I just don't trust this place, was always skeptical, but this is the final straw. My advice to anyone who reads this, avoid this place like the plague.

Went there last Sunday and began the paperwork to purchase a 2013 Civic. I asked the salesman Phil to run it past the finance manager on Monday and if it came in at my price range I would pick it up on Tuesday. I got a call on Monday from Phil stating it came in from finance in my price range and I could drive home with it on Tuesday- awesome right?Tuesday arrives, and I get to the dealership. Phil the salesman wants me to wait and sit with their finance manger "it'll be five minutes". 5 minutes turns into almost 2 hours with Phil the salesman giving me tours of the car that I'd already decided on buying. I finally get in to see the finance manager and the price" is is literally $120 more than what I was quoted 24 hours before so I walked out! Of course, the sales manager Greg Samborski follows me out quoting a price that's only $60 more than than what I was originally quoted. Why? Because I was lied to? Because I was walking out? Why are they playing games? I was understandably uncomfortable with the situation at that point so I told Mr.Samborski to call me on Wednesday if he wants to make the sale.Wednesday comes, no call from Mr. Samborski (of course) but he does have the on site insurance broker ( who is insuring my current vehicle) call me with quotes on the car price!!! Lmao !! Of course I was not comfortable with this.... If I like the quote am I gonna buy the car from an insurance broker ? I requested from the broker that whoever gave him those quotes give them back to him and tell him to man up and call me himself. Of course, I never received a call.These guys don't understand that they need the consumer not the other way around! I'll just go to the dealership across the street.

Here is my updated review after 4months of buying the " Certified" used car. " I RECOMMAND NOT TO PURCHASE any kind of used car from THE STATAN ISLAND HONDA dealers. " my fellow consumers dont waste your time and money at SI HONDA because they are fraud and not legit Dealers.First of all As per Honda of America certification process -- there need to be 182 point inspection as per their process. A car cannot be certified if there is a problem with any of the parts before selling to customer like bumper with repaints, and visible scratches, bad rotors, break pads, after market parts, bad lights, bad AC condition, etc .. what ever comes under 182 point. But SI Honda did not do any suchAfter few days of writing the previous review, with all sale team drama finally they convinced me to purchase the car as a great car. Intact i had waited many days to find a good coupe with v6 engine for many days, so couldn't wait much long so purchased the car. Where they have not provided the 182 point inspection and Honda warranty documents.The SI Honda charged me( the customer) for the certification fee in the purchase order and they didn't do changes in the car parts as per Honda 182 point inspection process before they sell that to me(customer). Current issues with my pre owned Certified :1. With in First 2 weeks after purchasing the car, i had serious problem with front whell rotors and breaks. I immediately called them and ran to SI Honda paying "15$ toll" with 2 hours traveling in traffic to show the problem i am facing to SI Honda Dealers. "They said sorry my friend its our mistake, we will resurface the rotors of the car" and they resurfaced it, Here they made me wait for 4 hours to complete the resurface the rotors.2. All the tires are not same brand/make, one of the tire is after market brand tire -- because of the bad tire i hear a lot of noise inside the car -- usually when dealers certify as Certified car with Honda of America, they need to be diligence to make sure all the tires are same make , and if there is any bad tire they need to replace with same brand tire before certify.3. One of The front light is a aftermarket parts (not a honda parts). -- I got issue with the front light after few months, i been to one of the Honda Service center thinking my car is covered bumper to bumper for the first year on all the parts. the Service guys opened and said, the honda warranty doesn't cover the after mark parts present in the car. So again SI Honda didn't do changes on the car before certified. 4. AC is not working properly --- Its not cooling my car.5. Front bumper with all scratches and repainted - should not be certified as per Honda of America certification process.7. Front bumper popping up at front hinges when we drive on highway at 60/70 miles speed - should not be certified as per Honda of America certification process.8. They charged me for preparing and detailing the car from inside and outside in the purchase --- but they didn't do that before handing over the car keys to me, all they did is just water cleaning from outside and vacuuming from inside. I raised a compliant/case with Honda of America about my following issues. They said "you purchased the car from the privately owned Honda Dealers, so you need to work with them and we have no control on them". But Honda of America are helping me to work with SI Honda Dealers if they can do any thing on these issues. Currently due to work reason, i couldn't go back and ask the dealers to address the issues as i am 1000 miles away from SI Honda. --------------------Old review: Very bad attitude, no good English speaking sales person, worst behavior and sneaky people. They hided the extra charges until i sign on documents and give downpayment. When i see the actual price after all signing they tired to rob me around 3000$ extra on actual internet price. Luckily I cancelled deal with them but my money got stuck with them untill i get them. NEVER NEVER GO TO THIS DEALER. This is not SINHONDA.

Bought 2 cars from them 1st time they tried to screw me over buy adding on charges after we agreed to a price, which I know a lot of dealers try to do once you meet with the finance manager. But the 2nd time I bought a car from them they really screwed me over, we agreed to a price on the new a car and agreed to have have my 1st car I bought with them paid off and 2 months later I am getting calls from Honda financial that I am past due and the late payment went on my perfect credit report. Called these crooks up and they finally sent payment to Honda for my old car, but in the end I'm stuck with a negative mark in my credit report and there is nothing I can do, not only will I never deal with them again I will never by a Honda because they refused to do anything about it and was told I am responsible for not paying in time when I had no idea that I was late or liable for the old car after I entrusted the dealer to fulfill their end of the agreement.

He went above and beyond for me and was very patient. Even letting me think about deal over night without question. He made sure I got the best deal for my price range without judgement, he made sure my decision was informed and even gave me tips on getting the most from my civic, since he drives on himself. I would recommend him to anyone. Pat is also a salesman I would recommend he spoke to me both days I was there about honda vehicles and cars in general.Though dealerships can make anyone cringe.(Especially women) This process was made pleasant and simple because of the team at Staten Island Honda. The dealer that i went to, Path Amarasinghe was excellent, he showed me a step by step breakdown of what is was going to pay at the end of the month on my new accord, He also showed me all the parts that was under warranty. On top of that he even took me on a test drive BEFORE i even signed the agreement to show all the mechanics available on the new accord. They tried selling me a Accidental Car as a certified car and started misbehaving when i found out.My Friend and me found out that the car had the trunk full of water when started inspecting and the rear wind screen has been broken and the whole car had glass pieces when we push down the back seat. Back Dashboard had hole in it. The dealer didnt inform us and told that no part has been changed. We reported this to the manager and asked him to report the accident to Police as he cannot sell the car as certified car if its damaged. The manager started shouting and misbehaving with us.I wont recommend this dealer and its not trust worthy they can sell damaged cars as certified cars.

after reading most of the reviews I decided to see for myself however I was highly disappointed with the service, for one you would think having a service contract would mean a satisfactory job a couple of days after the service I checked the oil in my crv and found it needed some not a quart but it needed oil so then I just went along and checked the water cells in the battery and it needed some water . you would think that once in a while they (service manager) would read some of these reviews its obvious they don't seem to care . they had a nice clean shop and talked as if everything would be handled correctly.. my advice go somewhere else but most staten island people are goin for conveyance

The employees I dealt with at Honda of Staten Island were courteous, honest, down to earth, and competent. They were greatly informed on all their cars, and did not try to play games that car dealerships normally play. They were honest when working out a price with me, and stuck to that deal; they did not just spit out false numbers in hopes that we would come back. They were very conscientious about the paperwork that needed to be filled out, and called my insurance company themselves when we ran into an issue to ensure the job was done correctly. I have two words to describe my experience at Honda of Staten Island Totally Professional. The staff that helped that helped us was Class Act. Usually you hear ugly stories when going through the process of purchasing a new or used car. You hear about pushy salesmen who go a thousand miles an hour and only care about making a sale. This was not the case at Honda of Staten Island.When we walked into Staten lsland Honda we were met by Raj Paul Murjani. The experience of purchasing a new was amazing. Raj put my wife and me at easy from the time he introduced himself. He was very courteous, patient and knowledgeable. When we told him we were just shopping around he wasnt pushy and said once we look at the other makes and models he would be there for us. We had many questions about the Honda Pilot and he answered all of them even though he knew we would be looking elsewhere. After deciding that the Honda Pilot is what we wanted, we returned to speak to Raj. He helped us with choosing the options we wanted as well as our trade-in. He made that process easier by bringing in Greg Zamborski, the manager, who was just as helpful and courteous. Overall, we made the right vehicle choice and we cannot overstate the tremendous positive experience we had with dealing with Staten Island Honda, Raj Murjani and Greg Zamborski. They were all Great!

He paid attention to all details, handled our leasing options, gave us the best price, AND went out of his way to drive us to compete our paperwork. Went there for replacement tires and after waiting 1 1/2 hours, they gave me my car key broken. The fob was cracked. I noticed as soon as I put the key in the ignition. The mechanic who did the work must have did it, hopefully by accident, but didn't say anything. I alerted the manager inside and he took a look at it and asked what the problem was. At the end, he gave me a new key but not once did he apologize. I was not feeling well and wanted to leave soon after I arrived. I asked what happened to my key and he said nobody dropped it or anything. I left with a bad taste in my mouth. Terrible customer service.

If you can avoid this dealership. People are very unfriendly and rude. I recently bought a new vehicle from this dealership and They did not provide the sales docs. Because I applied for 100% financing, the store was supposed to refund back the downpayment I initially made... Its almost 3 weeks and they still haven't refunded me. Now they keep avoiding my calls and never come on the phone to talk to me. People also dont want to explain how they came to the price written on the financing doc. and dont provide any breakdown for the price.

Background: I leased a 2013 Honda Pilot Touring. Customer Service: Frank Yu provided good customer service. He is a listener and a performer. As a person with a busy schedule, I had asked Frank to initiate and perform the paperwork (i.e. credit check and etc.) prior to my arrival. The purpose was to avoid the wait time I would have had to spend while all the paperwork and formalities were attended to. Frank and I agreed that I would come by their location at 6 p.m. after work. Frank performed my requests and saved me time. Additionally, Frank took the time to explain the SUV's features and instrument functionality prior to me departing the dealer site. Quality of Work: Based on Franks customer service performance, I felt that he provided good quality of work. He paid attention to detail. As an example, the date printed on my insurance documentation was dated the day after the sale date. He brought this to my attention and he initiated a call to my insurance company. The issue was fixed immediately.Friendliness: Frank was friendly.Overall Experience: I had a good experience dealing with Frank. He made the transaction seamless.Pricing: I had a fair price. I know what I wanted for a lease price. I would advise buyers to educate themselves to save time and headache prior to visiting any car dealer.

Sat at a table with a salesman who wrote the price of the car on a piece of paper. When I suggested a lower price, he looked at me as if my hair was on fire, and said "WHAT?!?" I repeated that I would like to negotiate for a lower price. He then folded the paper and said "Sorry, I want to help you "girls" but youre not serious. Do you understand this is a Honda Pilot.I stupidly continued to deal with him and he lowered the price somewhat. I agreed to purchase at that price.Than it came time for the trade in appraisal. Needless to say it was THOUSANDS less than a fair dealer price. BTW, my car was only 3 years old, in perfect condition with less than 20k milesWhen I stated, that at that price I would have had to pay Honda to take my car, he basically just sat there and said goodbye. This dealer is the only Honda Dealer on Staten Island. They feel that they have a captive audience and can get away with being unfriendly, and unprofessional. I was so turned off, I was tempted to buy something other than HondaInstead, I crossed the bridge, went to Honda at Bay Ridge and bought the car there that same day

This was my second visit to Honda of Staten Island this summer. Earlier in the summer, the employee that I spoke to seemed somewhat abrupt and cold whereas Steve approached me right away, he heard my situation and did whatever he could to help me get into a new vehicle. I had very little money to put down but was looking to use my current car as the down payment. Even though his initial number was to high for me, he did whatever he could to get my payment below $200 which is what I was looking for. Although money was the bigger priority, I had a wish to get into a car with some color as I had only owned a black or white car. I had expressed at the beginning that my choices would be blue, red etc. While Steve managed to get me under $200, he explained that he only had the car in either black or dark gray. While I wasn't thrilled, I decided to take the deal anyway as I really needed a new car and the payments were manageable to me. To my delighted surprise, Steve came back a little while later telling me he had a blue car that he could offer me! I was even happier! He managed to meet my expectations. Once I made the decision to take the deal, Steve was great at keeping me updated as to what was going on and he handled everything efficiently. I hadn't looked for a car for almost 12 years and my experience at Honda of Staten Island was a good one! Providing I have no trouble with the car in the next few years, I will certainly come back to this dealership!

Upon entering, we were engaged by Ellen, an energetic and extremely friendly salesperson. We had explained to her that we were looking for our first lease and were unfamiliar with the process. Ellen took the time to cover ALL the bases while showing us what she thought we were looking for. She was on the money. The Civic EX we leased was exactly what my wife and I were looking for in a car. Ellen took all of the "scary process" stuff out of the equation. She explained on paper as well as verbally all of our options and gave us plenty of time to think, which we LOVED! We didn't feel pressured at all. After a test drive, we decided this was our car. Ellen expertly lead us through the process of all the paperwork and we drove our Civic home that afternoon. I even made it into work on time! I went to SI Honda since this where I bought my previous car in 2009. Like the last time this time around also I was not disappointed with the dealership. They left me alone while I looked at the Odyssey and Pilots to finalize my choice. Once I was ready Arkady worked with me to make sure that I got the exact model I wanted. I overall rated the dealership as OK, but my personal dealer, Craig is excellent. He is honest and understandably has no choice but to play the stupid, annoying game management makes them play with customers. I appreciated his honesty and reluctance to play the game, but yeah, he has to disappear for a while and come back with an annoying price, and then go back and come back with worse prices to make the first annoying price see appealing. But i still walked away with a good 2013 Honda Civic lease. Compared to my Sansone, NJ Toyota lease 3 years ago, this Honda dealership was the lesser of the 2 evils.

We were on our way to staten island honda to attend the appointment we made yesterday. We went there with an appointment to drive a certain car with a salesman named Chris. Another salesman comes out and says he left for the day. Ok? No big deal. So we asked if we can take the test drive with him instead. He says, we do not have a car like the one we asked for over the phone, in stock to drive. Meanwhile, Chris over the phone says everything is good to go and to come by. We come there and nobody had a clue that we had a test drive today. How would you sell a particular car if you do not have it to show? No wonder they are down on the list in terms of rating. I called Bayridge Honda literally right after we left and the manager even threw me some ballpark numbers to get my attention. He says he has a few in stock, and to come by tomorrow to check out the car. No issues, no problem, nothing. Looks like we know whos getting my business, and DEFINENTLY not Staten island honda. One of the worst dealerships in the tri state area if you ask me.

My wife and I bought a new 2001 CR-V at Staten Island Honda 12 years ago and were very happy with it.When we reached 160,000 miles we decided it was time for a new one.We returned to S.I. Honda looking to buy a 2013 CR-V. We were met by sales consultant Path Amarasinghe who showed us several CR-Vs of different trims and colors.He was friendly,respectful,and didn't try to push us into an immediate deal. We told him that we'd need a couple of weeks to make a decision and would return. (Like any smart car shopper,we checked out a couple of other Honda dealerships to compare prices.) Three weeks after first visiting S.I. Honda we returned there for several reasons. 1)We liked the proximity to our home,about 1 1/2 miles away. 2)We had enjoyed a good relationship with the S.I. Honda Service Dept. during the 12 years we'd owned the red 2001 CR-V. 3)We liked Path's friendly, no-pressure approach during our recent visit. 4)The price seemed right. We really wanted a Mt. Sky Metalic (Teal) LX CR-V which they did not have in stock,but we wrote up a contract with the priviso that if they could not obtain the color we wanted within a week,the deal was off. {Here it is important to applaud the teamwork at S.I. Honda.We'd been prepared to walk away if they didn't have the color we wanted and did just that.Before we got to our car we were approached by the Used-Car Manager,Randy Milejski,who told us that they'd try hard to obtain the Teal color and that we could have the 1-week wait limit included in the contract.Randy also took the time to discuss the features of the CR-V with us.} A couple of days after signing the contract we got a call from Randy saying they could not get a Teal LX and that we could have our deposit back,but they'd take some money off the price if we'd be willing to take a different color that they already had in stock.(I'd checked on the internet the "New Inventory" lists of a bunch of tri-state dealers and very few of the Teal CR-V LX cars were listed. After my wife returned from work,we took a ride over to S.I. Honda figuring we'd get our deposit back and start over.Randy improved the money-off offer on an in-stock CR-V so we figured it wouldn't hurt to look. Randy and Path took the time to show us 3 CR-Vs ,answered a bunch of our questions,and didn't put any pressure on us. We decided that we liked the White CR-V almost as much as the Teal and that, for the added price-reduction,the deal was too good to pass up.We signed a new contract,and 4 days later we took delivery of our new White CR-V. We are very happy with our new CR-V and commend S.I. Honda for making the whole experience a good one.We're looking forward to continuing our long-lasting relationship with the Service Dept. at S.I. Honda.

My third Honda lease, two Accords 2009, 2012 and this time a 2013 Civic for my daughter. I've been returning to SIHonda and more specifically Anthony Raucci because of his professionalism, honesty and sincerity. He makes the process easy and smooth, no pressure or stress. This is the third car I leased from him and will keep going back because well, I trust him. He gives you his full attention, as much time as you need, no bs and no misrepresentations. He personally takes you through most of the closing process. Anthony is a real credit to the dealership and this is evident in our repeat business. I find the atmosphere in the agency friendly and price fair and competitive. My hat is also off to the finance manager, Ray Venazuela, who is customer friendly and made the closure smooth and fast.

I would never go to another dealership ever again besides Staten Island Honda. Izzy was a fantasctic salesperson. The sweetest and most honest salesperson, I have ever had. Answered all questions that me and my father had, located my new car instantly, the pick up was the same week. The used car manager Randy Milejski such a nice guy gave me the most money for my car than any other dealership I went to in staten island, brooklyn, and new jersey. They delivered the car and went over every single detail with me. They also contacted me after my pick up to see how my new car was. I dealt with two different sales people this week and both of them changed the contract at the last minute after all my info was taken to try to make themselves more of an incentive. This is poor business and will never go back to Honda again. They lost my business for good. A huge mistake since I have teenagers that will be driving soon also. Instead of gaining 3 new customers they lost a lot more. Word of mouth is everything. What a shame to be so greedy.

I was hesitant to lease another car from S I Honda this year, however John Gilani worked very hard and worked with me and delivered my car just a few days ago. Since I have leased many cars in the past I was not interested spending hours in a dealership. John called me several times until the deal was made. He knew exactly what I wanted and made it happen. Salesman was very pushy and conniving. Path told me one price, shook my hand and proceeded to swipe $1,000 off of my credit card. He said we were set. Then he dropped me off in the financial advisor's office) literally dropped me off into the man's office) and left. I was confused because Path told me the deal was settled. The financial advisor told me the price was going to go up over $100! On top of the fact that I was told which car I needed to take. Initially I was told I could pick from a variety of colors but then path told me (midway through the paperwork) that I had to take the one on the floor- apparently I had no choice. Needless to say it was a waste if time and a terrible experience. I did not get a car from there.. I went to Hyundai, got treated 100% better and got a car there (for a much better price).

Leased a 2013 CR-V. Frank Yu gave me a deal so good that I didn't have to shop around. I dropped into his showroom at 3:00 PM on a Monday afternoon and Frank had me driving home that evening, even though the vehicle was off-site! I finalized my agreement with the business manager, a friendly gentleman named Al, quickly with no pressure. He asked me politely if I wanted anything additional and when I said no he didn't try to pressure me into anything. So long as Honda keeps making great, affordable cars, I will continue to get them through Staten Island Honda. An outstanding buying experience!

I've had the worst experience of customer service at this place. They weren't just rude but also such a rob of.. I wanted to trade in my Toyota with a Honda, so I started shopping around. My father went to this place a week before to get prices on the car that I like. The salesperson gave him an offer and wrote it down on the paper. My father told him that he would bring the Toyota next week if he decides to buy it from them. Shook hands. When went back to the dealership it was 11:30. It literally took them an hour to come by and help us out.. I would understand maybe they were busy but this week he came out with a magic price that was not given to us in the first place and my father showed him the paper, he had nerves to raise his voice and say "this is what I can do and if you want take it".. Obviously has no manners!!! I'm not buying fruits from the grocery store I'm actually paying 25,000 at the end. The same day we went to Bayridge Honda, we didn't even wait for 5 min. They were so polite, friendly and gave us fair price.. We bought the car same day and I was very satisfied at BAYRIDGE HONDA!!!!!

Several days ago I have spent three days for nothing with Plaza Honda in Brooklyn but could not even see a car for which they took $2000 deposit and I have prepared official banking check for full payment. After such bad experience at Plaza Honda, I looked for 2013 Honda CR-V EX AWD at the Internet. I have found your Company that suggested a car which I really wonted. In result I have phoned to your Company and have been connected with Russian speaking sales person Mr. Arcady Abramovich. We discussed over the phone everything even the price of the new car. In half an hour I was in your Company by using car service because my old car was flooded during Sandy. Arcady did everything quickly and professionally. He kept everything that we discussed over the phone and even run me on his car to Citibank where I received official banking check for the payment, and returned back to me $50 which I spent for the car service. I have had great deal with a sales person willing to help me and friendly staff all over the showroom. I and my wife are extremely happy about our purchase and truly feel that we received a great deal because of friendly, professional, full of energy sales person Arcady Abramovich. THINK TWICE! Before you deal with this place. The SALES dept are a bunch of con-artists while the SERVICE dept are a bunch of crooks! I am glad that I walked away from this place when I was purchasing my car once because at some point I felt that they are trying to twist my arm in trying to sell me a car. And I am glad I did same evening did some additional research online and purchased the same (new) vehicle for more than 2k less the next day in another dealership in DCH Academy Honda with barely any hassles or haggling. Recently by a chance of fate had to have my other (older) Honda towed to SI Honda service. Worst possible experience they fixed problem of vehicle stalling. But my vehicle wound up with 3 other problems which were caused by poor workmanship of mechanics working in this place. Be advised once you purchase a vehicle you are of no use to them anymore and they make it obvious with rude staff and complete disregard to defective parts on a brand new vehicle. Tried to get "Free oil change" i pay for and was told my sales rep doesn't work there anymore and things have changed now. Interesting since I'm still paying for a free oil change in my bill every month that isn't so free anymore. Will be seeking legal action

He was realistic, and worked every angle to ensure I walked out with a car I was more than satisfied with. Anthony demonstrated that my sale was important to him, and it is for this reason I would highly recommend him and Staten Island Honda to friends and family. I received the best deal of 3 Honda dealerships with him, and he worked in an extremely timely manner to have the process and my car ready to drive in less than an hour. In my 8 years of driving, this is totally unprecedented. I thank Anthony for making this an effortless process for me. I went into Staten Island Honda with an offer I received in the mail to buy out my current auto loan. My pervious vehicle was purchased through Hyundai Manfredi, and boy do I regret ever purchasing a vehicle from that dealer. Anyhow, As soon as I walked into the door of Staten Island Honda I was immediately greeted by Joseph. He helped me and explained everything to me in great detail. He did not lead me on in anyway and was very straight forward. I walked into this dealership on Friday (10/12/2012), and drove away the next day (Saturday 10/13/2012) with my new 2012 CRV. I just wanted to say thank you to Joe and Eddie (manager) for making me a very happy customer. I will be back next year (2013) to trade in my other lease that is up in October

Frank was very patient with me as I was hesitant to sell my old Yoyota Rav and buy a new Honda CRV. I was not an easy sell and I was very picky. he took his time with me, gave me a very good price and I ended the sale very pleased with my purchase. He didn't push me and he listened to my specifics. That is very important to me as I had particulars of what I wanted in my new car and wouldn't be persuaded to change to anything else. I went into the dealer to see if they can match a lease offer I got from another dealership. I didnt end up with a newer vehicle because the other dealership is willing to pay off my car and staten island Honda will not. However, Darren was pleasent and easy to work with. He made the experience much less stressful by not pressuring me into one direction. And best of all, he didn't judge me because of my young age. I would recommend this dealer to anyone who is looking to FINANCE a new Honda but defenitly shop around, there's some good deals out there.

I went in looking for a Honda Insight, the place was empty and all the sales guys were all just hanging out and no one came to me for about 10 min. So Joe came and asked me if I needed help and I told him what I was looking for. Joe told me that not to worry that i would be getting my new car later on in the week. well that didnt happen, I had to wait for a test drive and he lied to me everyday for a week, everytime he called me he had a different excuse as to why I wasnt picking up my car that day. He even went as far as telling me to change my insurance to my new car which I did and just to find out that I couldnt pick up my car on the day he said. so I told him to cancel the deal and I called the manager to let him know what was going on and he wouldnt return my calls. what a waste of my time, I will never ever go there again and I will tell all my friends not to waste their time there, go somewhere else. BTW I went to ford and got me a brand new car! A/H

Unbelievably rude salesperson who did not introduce himself, did not ask my name, spoke to me like I was an idiot and made me feel like it was an effort for him to even speak to me. I left the showroom, drove to Brooklyn and purchased my brand new Honda CR-V at Plaza Honda that day!!! What a different experience I had there-it was fantastic!!! My salesman was amazing, the sales manager was amazing and the finance guy was amazing!!! I would never even set foot in Staten Island Honda again.

I would def not recommend this dealership. The service and attitude was terrible. They do not want to work with you at all. I left there and went to Bay ridge honda and what a difference. I would never walk into this dealership again. I am suprised they are still in business.

I had the worst experience in purchasing a vehicle from this dealership...stay away...buyer beware. I went in a long time ago to purchase a new vehicle and I even had a direct referral to the manager of the dealership. The initial sale was a great experience, good sales person, answered questions, and got a good price but it went down hill after that. The finance manager made sure that he made up for the initial low cost of the vehicle and indicated that I would have to purchase certain extended warranties, window etching, etc. in order to get the price quoted. It was like a bait and switch. I left paying more that what the car was worth and was unhappy with the experience that a year later I traded in the honda for a Jeep. I also found out that the cost of $2000 to pay for the window etching was $50 elsewhere or free if you go to your local police station.I spoke to other people who have had dealings with this dealership and they all have had bad experiences. And to prove it, I went to other Honda dealerships, specifically in New Jersey, and had great experiences.

I want to praise Anthony Raucci for his competent and thoroughly professional way he handled my wife and I as we shopped to lease a 2012 pilot. Although we had a fairly clear idea of what we wanted, his demeanor, attitude and his social skills in addressing our issues, both in the type of car we we interested in, and the availability of lease financing options, were simply unparalleled. In fact, there has been only one other sales person who has also received the highest praise from us,and regrettably, we could not do business with that person because he works for a manufacturer's dealership that does not offer a comparablevehicle like the pilot in their lineup. But in Mr. Raucci,we found a person who rivals that sales person on every level. And make no mistake about it, appreciation in the form of taking the time to write this is not a small thing on our part. It was simply an absolute pleasure to do business with Mr. Raucci and we look forward to future business with him should we continue with the Honda line. This is our first Honda and it was not easy to switch brands after twenty years. Every sales person should take a page out of Mr. Raucci's playbook of customer relations. Allowing a customer to ruminate and ponder without high pressure tactics does work, especially for serious customers like we were. Identifying serious customers is an art and comes from skilledexperience. So again, hats off to Mr. Raucci, who accommodated our schedule to get us into our pilot as soon as possible.

Worked with a male who was very interested in helping me purchase a car. Told me they had more cars in the back but "he wouldn't put his family in them" selected a car, and then proceeded to wait 3 hours to fill out paperwork. Observed two seperate transactions where people were screaming their heads off about problems they had and no one seemed to care. My salesman offered me a great price and told me not to worry about a thing. The next day he called me several times to let me know everything was good. When I arrived, that was a different story. The contract said a completely different amount then what I was quoted. They had charged me for the warranty which was listed on the price sheet as included in the price. They also needed more money as a down payment. I was completely shocked, but had invested so much time in this transaction I just wanted it finished. After reading the current reviews, I am worried I am not going to get my registration!!!Make sure they write down the price they are offering you and ask what it includes. They are very sneaky!

This place is so rude and pushy, amazing they still sell cars. One of the worst buying experiences i had buying autos. I tried to give them a shot (AGAIN) due to the fact i live on Staten Island. What a mistake.. Instead went to Brooklyn what a difference in price and attitude. Be careful if you visit this place get everything in writing.And if they give you a great deal ? Make sure they are not giving you Hann Bank , you will regret it when you turn the car in..

Horrible Dealer do not do business with Staten Island Honda Dealer, All sales personnel are liars including General Manager Faysel Tehseen. sales Person Tom Tomasollo is a Horrible person and Lies on the face of the customer. Frank Yu is a Dummy manager he just nods his head for every thing. Here is my Story......... I had booked a 2009 Honda Accord , & made a down payment for $1500.00 and told them that will pick up the car in 4-5 days time, after which I sent out the Insurance on the car to keep the car ready for me to pick up after handing over the cashiers check. Tom Tomasollo is the sales person tells me that he cannot deliver the car & after so many follow up & personally visiting the dealer, He promises to delivery it 2 days later, I knew there was some thing fishy here. After several call the following day & speaking to General Manager Faysel (Who never comes on the call & Even if we get him on the call promises to return the call but never does) says that he cannot delivery the car as it was damaged in service it seems....... All Lies they have sold the car to other customers for a higher price. I have never seen such a HORRIABLE DEALER. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS DEALER.

On Saturday we put in an order for a car to lease and left a $1,400.00 deposit. We were told the car would be in on Monday. We never heard from Honda, so the following Saturday we visit the showroom to discover the salesman was fired on Monday, the dealership had no record of our order (but had our money) and our registration from our current car,which they took to make a copy, was gone. Apparently, the salesman took all our personal info and our registration, BECAUSE HE'S BEEN CALLING US EVER SINCE!!! The GM, Anthony "NO LAST NAME GIVEN", could care less. You can forget about getting anywhere on the phone, because from the receptionist to the salesmen to the manager THEY DON'T CARE. I have learned they had no intention of honoring the price I was given because my application was tagged for a bait and switch. Don't bother trying to call customer service because each dealership is individually owned, so basically IT'S A HUGE RIP-OFF. I own two Hondas right now and can't wait to get rid of them. Do yourself a favor and stay away.

I live in Maine but found exactly the car I was looking for on Staten Island Honda's site. Called, arranged price, value of trade-in, and deposit over the phone. Paid $500 deposit with explicit discussion that THIS car would be held for me until I could pick it up the next week. The deposit went through on my credit card. For the next week I left numerous messages with no response asking Mr. Smith to confirm the car was being held. A week later, I finally got in touch with him. Mr. Smith tells me an attendant backed the car into something and that there is extensive rear end damage and tries to sell me another car. Upon checking the CarFax, I learn that the car had actually been sold a few days prior and that everything I had been told was an outright lie. Numerous calls to management have gone unreturned. I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, will be contacting the Attorney General's office, and have notified the Honda Corp. of this dealership's dishonest sales practices.DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS DEALERSHIP!

I went to look at a certified pre-owned Pilot. When I got there I was told that someone had left a small deposit on it, but that their credit had not cleared yet and they would show me the vehicle. Tom told me that if I wanted the vehicle and that if my credit cleared that night, "the truck is yours!". Well, I liked the Pilot and told him let's write it up. I told him that I wouldn't even finance it, I would buy it in cash. He takes my license and goes to the sales manager and comes back with a story. He says that his manager called the other person when he saw me looking at the truck and that the other guy definitely wants it, and that they were going to hold it for him. In his next breath he already has another truck he wants to show me. Nice bait and switch technique. I said goodbye and walked out. I found something equivalent, without the hassles, the next day at Bay Ridge Honda.

I would give this place 0 stars if I could. I NEVER write negative reviews but this has been an infuriating experience. They have absolutely failed to process the paperwork. They told me they would take care of the registration within a matter of weeks, but it has now been 2 months since purchasing the car and they have failed to either register the car or send me the title to take care of it myself. I am actually being forced to initiate legal proceedings. Meanwhile my car, with now expired dealer plates, has sat unused in my driveway for 4 straight weeks. Not so much as an apology or explanation from management. This place is either COMPLETELY INCOMPETENT or just straight up CRIMINAL

All i can say dont buy anything from them. Went to buy a certified civic. Was told to get there at 730 3 hours later finally got to me. I tried anything to get some thing out of you. Buy the car then find out that the certified car that was posted on line and they told me over and over was not certified. What makes it even better as i am getting in the car after everything was dont Steven Gallo hands me the keys a say enjoy your car you got nothing to worry about for 7 year with this certified car. Everyone there lies and STEVEN GALLO is someone you should never deal with. Some that looks you in you face and lies.

Awful dealership.they play the old change the lease price at the final signing.they play the game of having different prices for different banks.i settled at 300 a month for lease than switched it to 380 because the 300 a month bank didn't include gap insurance.toal scam!i walked right out and got a great deal at a great deal at bay ridge honda.this place treats u like a jerk and very unfriendly plus u wait forever to get a salesman.trust me make the trip over the bridge to bay ridge honda

In the early part of January of 2012 I bought a car from Honda of Staten Island. It was an 09 Camry XLE a nice car with very low miles. When I took it for a test drive I noticed the Rear View Mirror was loose the sales men assured me they would fix it no question. It is almost a month now that I have the car and I have been told they will NOT FIX the mirror. It is also missing the front Plate Bracket which they will replace, it also needs brakes not sure about this repair. I have made phone call after phone call to the sales dept withno call back. When I did finaly make contact they just pass it of to the service Dept and then they pass right back to Sales. I've gone there twice now still with no result. Except to have a Mr Schifano tell me Saturday that he promices they will fix the the car mirror included. I was instructed to call him today Monday 2/6 2012 at 10 am, still no result.There is no writting anywhere in the paper work that states the car is being sold AS IS. They offer a 90 day Bumper to Bumper, I also bought an extended Warranty. I need help on how to put the problem to rest. I can tell you will never buy another thing from them nor will I ever recommend them. Please help!!

**UPDATE** 2/28 - so after 3+ weeks of waiting for our plates, we have to call in to confirm its there. Now since we live out of state. Our understanding was we would pay FedEx to have it shipped to us. Fine no problem... As soon as the receptionist confirms its there she then goes on to talk about a 371 registration fee. WWWHHHAAAATTTTTTT?!?!? I call in and try to talk to John but he's with a customer. Instead, talk to Faysel and he says that it's standard. First off, it wasn't included in the calculation when we brought it, this is the first time we hear about it, and I don't get the promised callback from Faysel from which he said he would callback. My wife and I decide to go there that night.We go and John tells me he told us and that they don't know how much jersey will charge. Funny thing is we saw Raymond before and he mentions that it's that price and always has been for the past 5 years..... The same price the past 5 years............ This was never totaled in the final paperwork... Shame on us for Not triple checking the paperwork...We pay and John installs the plates.... Moral of the story1 if the price is too good, question what else can be charged later on ( whether it be interest, hidden fees, unmentioned fees)2 prepare for a long day when signing the contracts. The goal is to get you to buy an extended warranty or make you stay so long so that you'll sign anything to get out of there3 don't always trust the deallerater score. I'm noticing a lot of 5 stars with vague general comments. Read the negatives to see what you might get into... (look for the review of the guy that brought a used Toyota Camry who posted after me)4 if a guy named John in SI Honda comes up to you to sell a car... Good luck**UPDATE** 2/4 - after a week of talking with the site manager, Faysel, we had gone back sat (2/4) to get a replacement key, new mats, and a couple of oil changes. (the mats John had installed were the wrong ones...) Faysel was professional with trying to make everything right. Because of this I've increased customer service and friendliness scores a little. Additionally, Anthony from the service center who worked on getting us the replacement key was friendly and gave us routine updates on the status of the key. We were in and out of the service center in half an hour. New key works so quality of work gets a 4. Went back to the dealership and talked with Faysel one last time. He gives me the vouchers for the oil changes and apologizes again for the poor experience. I tell him that if I ever buy a car here again I'll get in touch with him directly first. He agrees, we shake hands, and we're off in our 1st Honda... My wife and I have been shopping for a used certified accord. Went to all the dealerships in central and south jersey and by chance found one with great miles and price. Know that saying 'if it's too good to be true....' ? It kinda was... Their advertisement was a hassle free experience but it was a headache from beginning to end....I call in on sat and talk to Anthony. He says the accord that I want is still in stock and I confirm that the price is still negotiable. Come in Sunday with the wife after about an hour drive and speak to his partner naveed (aka John) and test drive the car. It's exactly what we are looking for and in trying to work the price he says no its the final internet price since its the absolute bottom. After escalating a phone call to his boss, we knock it down 300 less with the rest to finance. I ask questions about the rate and he says it depends on our credit and that it would need to be discussed with the finance guy. I said if we get a cheaper rate outside then we will. John goes on to say the finance guy can get the same rate even if we go through them. We plan to come in Monday to finish contracts.Monday... Wife, uncle, and I get to dealership at 230 (pulled strings to get out of work early). We have a great loan ready for the car from her credit union connections. We are now just waiting on the finance guy (Paul). In Paul's office, we get the news that we were 'approved' 6% above our rate we got. BUUTT if we get the extended warranty he can drop it by 3%. Uhhh no thanks.... We go on to tell him that we got a better rate that beats whatever 'discount' and we want to take advantage of it. Attitude changes and now we can't get the car until they receive the check. No deal.... We talk to a site manager and make the arrangement to make a dummy contract so we can get the car out today. if not, we would've gotten it on sat... (btw we were told their jan forecast was short by about 50 cars so they needed em out by Tuesday)All is good then John comes in saying that we agreed to finance through them. I said yes as long as they could get the rate that we were approved on. This was also confirmed with him over his cell when I told him about it btw. I then get am told the reason why I get the price is couz I will finance through them. John calculates the difference of 780 on interest on the back end is a nice kick back. The answer I get is they can't match the rate we got...John goes on to say that the Chinese couple after us wanted to pay cash but they still had to go through finance. that's nice but this a different deal and it doesn't matter what race I am, which I snap back I'm Filipino. He leaves... John's quiet then gives this option... Take their financing then pay it in full with the credit union... I would on be paying extra 200 for interest purposes...Deal is about to fall and then another person comes in.. Ray 'the closer' who happens to be Filipino... He talks to my wife in language and asks for a compromise. We pay half the 780 and get charged 400 extra and we get thrown a couple of oil changes. Wife is fed up and just agrees...We pay the extra interest of 400 up front, they get the check from our credit union and it evens everything out.... I have this in writing so we don't get screwed... Paul works the paper and I'm told that I need to call in to get the oil Change voucher mailed ( I get 1 voucher... Just 1)It's 430 going out that John tells us 20 min... 500 we're still there... 505 we ask whatS going on... Another 10 min...John then tells us that there are no new mats and asks if I can come back to pick them up... He then goes on to offer used mats instead of the new ones that should be there...ARE U SERIOUS!!!! I tell him I'm not going to drive out here for another hour to just get mats. I tell him to just mail it over but am told its expensive to ship. ( dude I just bought a car from you) I tell him to go to a new car and get it. He works on that and then goes on to tell me I'm getting a half tank of gas. He says thats not policy and I'm just going to get a half. I refer him to the website and my friend who got a certified and a full tank... While we wait, the Chinese couple he referred to earlier in this story comes in and we chat... Turns out they didn't finance but are paying cash... (anyone seeing a trend in this story)600 the car comes... All looks clean... John then says hey I got you a full tank instead... Everything is done, I feel a little better with him... Am a little content...Get home at 650ish and show off the car... But waitaminute... Something's wrong... Why isn't this other master key unlocking/locking/Starting the car.... The other master key and mechanics key works fine... You want to know why??.... IT'S NOT THE KEY TO THIS CAR!!!!!! ||{+||{..!¥\.\+~~+\£*~+||>~>]'~"++~£ arrrgghhhI get in touch with John at 7 and he says he will call back in 2 min.. He calls me back at 730 and says that the service manager is not there anymore and he would call me back Tom at 10am.... Great....People, I am not making this up... This happened...

The sales did great with customer service (of course, they want you to sign a contract with them) They offered me the moon and the stars for a great price. They also assured me that they will give me free oil changes for the duration of the lease (until it was time for one). When I got to the service center for my first oil change, they told me there was nothing in the system that stated my oil changes were free. I contact the sales guy (John) and the financial mgr (Fazeel) and to no avail. My boyfriend left a message for Fazeel, since he was the one who made this verbal agreement with me. John called me back and said to come by the dealership. I went by the dealership and he gave me three "complimentary oil change" cards for the next three changes and said that he will give me three more once those were used up. For my next oil change, I called the service center to make an appt and told them that I have the complimentary card. I spoke to Gino who told me that he was told that they no longer are giving complimentary oil changes and he can not honor them any longer. I called the General Manager and am currently making a complaint with American Honda Motor Co, Inc. At the end of the day, it's about not keeping their end of the bargain. It's not about the $29 oil change fee. I paid it all my life while owning a car. It's the principle. It's unprofessional and unacceptable when there are many other car companies that you can go to. I will not be signing a new lease with them, that's for sure. My first and last time!

I worked with Adrian and he was very friendly and helpful. There were no gimmicks and I was treated with patience, respect and courtesy throughout my purchase. I dropped my Pilot off for repair with service writer Tim the night before and he was very pleasant however the next day I dealt with Gino who was most concerned with selling unecessary work and having his lunch delayed. I refused the unecessary work such as filters and fluid changes and authorized the necessary items. My car is out of warranty so I was paying for the repair. They charge the list price on all parts which is very high and not done at most Honda dealerships but they are the only Honda dealership in Staten Island NY so they can. The mechanic did a good job (interior of car was left dirty) and Tim was back in the next day and was very helpful. Bottom line is it depends on who your service writer is and be prepared to overpay.

I had a very negative experience with this dealership on two occasions. We leased a Civic from them and they chnaged the lease details when we arrived to pick up the car. We almost walked out. The salesman did not know what he was talking about and did not go over details of the lease with us in advance. The manager they sent me to was pompous, choosing to speak down to us. I was very unhapy with how I was treated. They gave us oil changes to help ease the tension and finish up the lease process, Then the sales department gave us trouble about the oil changes later on, basically asking the service department to eat the cost, when it was the sales department that caused the problem in the first place. On the other hand, the service department is friendly, efficient and helpful.

From my first phone call to Staten Island Honda and speaking with sales Steve Gallo it was a stress free and pleasant experience. My husband and I were looking for a certain color Honda Accord and he promised he would have it for us and he did. When we went into Honda and met with him everything he promised us was lived up to from the downpayment we wanted to our monthly payment. He was courteous, professional kind and a dedicated worker. We can't say enough about Steve except to say I would recommend anyone to Staten Island Honda and to Steve Gallo.

At first i had no inclination to purchase. My credit score always held me back..and deposit was also a factor. I met a Mr. anthony Russo who was well knowledge and conforting to my needs. He was advising me to the options available without the usual pressure. After i saw the number..and a few inquiries..I was able to get very fair price plan with a small deposit. Mr Faysal explained all my purchasing extras and was clear on all aspects. Truly a memorable experience. I would recommend Staten Island Honda again to friends and will purchase again in the future.

This was the third auto leased from this dealer. The salesman was very professional. Found the price good not great. The returned car was in mint condition with very low mileage. I felt that the manager should have considered this fact when deciding on the price for the 2011 model. The profit he stands to make on the sale of my returned vehicle would substantially offset any consideration extended.

So I had leased my 2008 Honda Accord from Staten Island Honda, and had a horrible experience. When my lease was up I swore I would not go back there, but after shopping dealers in NJ and Brooklyn, I found that these dealers where charging WAY more then I had paid for the same car 3 years prior, and they had little to no cars in stock. Against my best wishes, I returned to SI Honda to see what they can do. Boy how times have changed. I was greeted with a warm smile by Joe DeFeo, was shown options on the car that I never knew existed (that I even had on my own car) and was offered a test drive, something no other salesperson had offered prior. Joe gave us a fair deal, had the car we wanted in stock, and was even able to have me drive it home the same day! The "haggling" process was quick and easy, my husband and I joked that it seemed that Joe was more on our side then his boss LOL. Anybody who needs a Honda and is looking for the easiest experience possible, go see Joe today!!

Just read fhatmanz review from 1/7/08 and just had the exact same thing happen to me. Should have read the reviews first, seems like they're still pulling the same old scam.Went to look at 2011 Honda pilot for lease, initial offer was $459, we said too much we want to pay 400 for 39 month lease, after a little back and forth they said ok. WE thought wow, "good deal", "that was easy". You can pick up the car this weekend. Meet with Majic the finance officer and he tells us we did not qualify for Tier 1 credit. You need 720 to qualify and we were at 690. Which is BS we ran our credit the day before and we had a 730 score. I tell him this and pull up the Equifax report on his computer. He tells me its not a FICO score and that its not the Equifax website. Ok fine its not a FICO score it's an Equifax score, I'll buy that. Then he googles "Equifax" and is trying to convince me that the results coming up with equifax.com in the domain name are not Equifaxs website. Seriously??? I have a doctorate dude I know how to use google and type a web address. Anyway he then tells us that since we qualify at Tier 2 our payments will be $438. We said no way. Then he asks us if we are previous Honda owners (which we are not) because Honda finance has a lease program for previous owners 36 mon, gap insurance, lower deductible, $1500 mech coverage etc. for $427, and he will see if his GM can "call in a favor" with Honda finance since we are not previous owners. We said no thanks we want our deposit back. Ok fine, GM comes in gives us the you're saving money overall talk and will do the deal for $418. At this point it's over two hours later and my wife and I have a NOW very cranky 2-year-old with us. We said fine $415 he agrees and says ok Since he's already losing money on the deal a couple of bucks wont matter. Finance paperwork was written up in 10 minutes, he must have been quick to dial and "call in his favor" with Honda finance. After reading the other reviews which were IDENTICAL to what happened to me it is clear that this dealership has some very dishonest business practices and this wasnt just some unfortunate event. Don't even get me started about Sansone in NJ. The world would be a much better place without dealerships and car salesmen.

my inlaws recommended steve gallo after having a great experience with him. i still shopped around. after dealing with a few other honda dealers as well as other car dealers i would have been happy to pay a premium to work with steve - but i didnt have to! he delivered as promised the best deal with by far the best service of the half dozen or so different dealerships we encountered. steve took the time to make this a great experience.

Steve Gallo was assertive, detailed, oriented, and extremely helpful. He answered all questions accordingly. He was respectful, patient, and understanding to all the boundaries we were looking to stay within and did his best to accommodate us and succeeded in making the sale. As far as the salesperson, Raymund Valenzuela, we have the highest regard for him- he does not play games and we have always come away feeling he has done the right thing by us. upon entering the dealership, we were greeted by Mr. Steve Gallo, who asked if he could be of any assistance. we told him that our lease was coming due on our odyssey and wanted to know what our options were. he proceeded to help us with the information we required. he also introduced us to Mr. Frank Yu and together they worked out what we thought was a fair price for a lease on a new 2011 odyssey. We told them that we would have to shop around and we felt no pressure from them to accept their offer, however, we thought they were sincere in their efforts to meet our requests for the best deal for the vehicle we needed. In the end we returned to the dealership and both Mr. Gallo and Mr. Yu did not disappoint and we left feeling they had done all they could to satisfy us.

I was looking to lease three cars (one for myself, one for my daughter and one for my father) and visited Staten Island Honda because of an advertisement in the paper. The salesperson who assisted us upon entering the dealership was Salvatore Pergola. From the moment we met, Sal was informative, helpful and honest. He never once misled us. Sal explained the details of the lease, assisted us in completing all the paperwork, arranged for test drives and did so in a professional manner. It is also to be noted that Sal was out one Saturday and he arranged for my father's test drive with another salesperson, James O'Rourke. Jay was also professional and extremely helpful. He was kind and patient with my elderly father. As a result of the two men mentioned above we leased three cars through Staten Island Nissan. I would not hesitate to recommend the dealership and in particular Sal and Jay.

Let me begin with a story.I was due to get a replacement vehicle for my 2007 Toyota Avalon XLS and could not quite decide on which .I called Sal Pergola ,as her had assisted me previously and told him that as sonn as we returned from vacation I would need to decide.Upon our return which was this past Sunday,my wife reminded me that I needed to do something .Needless to say I called Sal on Monday 7/12/2010 and asked for the pricing on two cars.Within minutes Sal called me back with the information and said that he had exactly what I wanted in stock. I went to Honda because my lease was up. I had my heart set on a white Accord Coupe, they had a red one in stock & a black one coming in, but when you know what you want it's hard to settle for something else. Raymund did everything he could to find it, he really went above and beyond, and I now have the exact car that I was looking for. He was so patient going over the numbers with me, as well as all of the other paper work. I would definately recommend Raymund to all my friends and family.

I had never dealt with such a rude person such as Oliver. He was nice when we were making the deal and then didn't deliver once the deal was made. I had to constantly call and chase him for items promised (trunk liner and oil changes). I finally got the trunk liner after 3 weeks of calling. He claimed the oil changes were in the mail but I never received them and it has been well over a month. They lie here and promise things that never happen. Do not trust this dealer or staff! GM was full of it too as he told Oliver to give me these things but wouldn't take my call when I tried to get them. VERY SHADY, DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME!

Hello,I am writing this to commend SI Honda for their excellent service they provided for my wife and I yesterday. We went their looking to lease the Honda CRV-LX and we couldnt have been more pleased. First, walking in was a hassle free/no stress environment. We were introduced to salesman Salvatore Pergola, whom I have to admit, was the BEST auto salesperson I have ever dealt with. Sal was extremely polite, courteous, and knowledgeable about the truck we were seeking. And no, he did not put any pressure on us whatsoever. After talking to Sal, he took us to meet his manager Pat Noce, whom again was very polite, courteous and knowledgeable. Both gentleman went over a few price quotes for us, and never once tried to con us. We had been across the street to Hyundai and let me tell you something--------they are the worst! Rude, didnt offer to negotiate, and didnt even ask us if we wanted to test drive the Hyundai Tucson we were viewing. The salesman was more interested in their hot dogs they were cooking out back.Anyway, after manager Pat Noce offered us to test drive the Honda CRV, Sal Pergola came with us to show the inside functions and how they operated. He was again a pleasure to talk to during the test ride, and never once showed aggressiveness to lease this truck. Finally, after coming back to Honda and talking again to SaL/Pat, my wife and I agreed to lease this vehicle. Pat even offered to buy our old 93 car and gave us $500 for it, without even looking at it. How many places do this when selling an old used car? We put that towards our down payment. Also, I ahd an online coupon for $200, and Pat kindly accepted this too without even hesitating. Both Sal and Pat finalized everything for us with no stress on our part, and when our truck was ready for pick-up a few hours later, it was beautiful. Sal personally took us for a tour of the truck. People, if you find something wrong with purchasing/leasing a vehicle from SI Honda, it is your own fault. You have the last say if you want to sign the contract or not. So dont blame them if you go home and finally realize you dont understand what you signed. Know what you are doing BEFORE you go in, and then maybe you can enjoy buying a vehicle. Time- they need atleast a day for doing any small thing quality of repair- some of their technicians know nothing about the honda cars. crew- they will even bullshit about the honda cars tehnologies , when i asked why some thing wrong. Price- Huge ripoff like everybody says. ridiculous $120 for just oil change and test points checks. People on phone- they know nothing about servicing. Pls find some other location nearby(outside staten island)- bayridge honda or hillside is better. all dealers suck after u buy their car anyways but this one is in the worst list.?

The original down payment of the new car we were going to lease was $1,200. We gave a $500 deposit which should have left a balance of $700. But when the salesman came back it was back up to $1,200, he says "they made a mistake". Two days later, when I went to sign the contract with the check for $1,200, they came down that I owed them $700 on the paper. When he saw my check of $1,200 again, he went back upstairs and they came down with a new figure of $1,200 claiming the second time they made a mistake. So now we had to pay $1,700 instead of the $1,200 (which was a too many mistakes that were shady). The original payment was $290 a month that we signed for. When we went down two days later, they had a new bank and the payment went to $298. Bad experience, Bad customer service.

Dear Buyer, Please be aware, SI Honda is a scam. They try to lure you in with a lease or a finance option that DOES NOT EXIST. Than they do a bait and switch. Please note Americredit (Company that Honda SI offers lease through DOES NOT OFFER LEASES since June 2008) they will try to switch you to AmeriHonda for more money. Stick with Americredit, you will get the Honda lease, since they have no choice.Also, AmeriHonda, does not have lease options for 39 months its only 36 or 42 catch them and make them stick to the price they have originally quoted you!!!Also, have your insurance company run the VIN numbers, the car they have offered us in 2010 was actually a 2009!!!Buyer beware. FRAUD, LIES etc.

Went to Staten Island Honda since its the closest dealer near my home. I read the poor reviews from other reviewers and still decided to go. Bottom line, customer service is poor. It seems as if I was bothering everyone there even when it was clear I was truly interested in buying a particular floor model. The other salesmen had looks of death on their faces as if I owed them money from back in the day. Haggled on the price and purchased the vehicle. Came back the next day to sign papers and even while waiting what felt like hours, not one person asked if I was interested in a beverage. Customer waiting area is so close to the entrance door, I might as well waited outside by the curb and waited to be called in. All in all, the nightmares of some reviewers stating dealers lied and attempted to keep deposits could have possibly happen during my sale experience. Just asked to see all dealer fees (prep, desination, accessories, warranties, vehicle price on paper (Binder) before giving any credit card or money. Plus if you know your credit is godly, make sure you state on binder pending whatever interest you hope to get by honda's offer. Become a well inform customer and no one will attempt to take advantage of you. ( P.S. if at all possible, attempt to drive out with the car the same day. It prohibits the bait and switch when you come back the next day and "oh the car is not available any longer" , "price jumps" etc.) Advice is not just for this dealer but in general.

UThis dealership and their employees must really think they are the only Honda in the NY area! My experience was horrible! It was one Lie after another! I am a Hard Working person with Values, Integrity & I expect the same from my Sales Rep! I had a bad feeling as soon as my sales Rep came over to me & introduced himself! I have a 2002 Ford Explorer, Eddie Bauer Edition, which I still owe $5000 to Ford Credit! My sales Rep was able to get the truck appraised that day! He came back to me & told me that he can pay off the truck & we would have a Clean Slate, that's fine! It was what he said afterwards that bothered me. He told me that the Truck was only worth $3,000 and out of the goodness of their hearts they would still pay the outstanding loan I have with Ford! My truck only has 67,000 miles on it and it is a 2002! That is way below of what it should be and my truck is in Pristine Condition! The market value of this Truck is $9,500! It gets better, I told him straight up that I had sh*ty credit but I did bring a Cosigner(with Tier-1 Credit) with me(I was prepared)!! Let me tell you, his attitude changed for the worse when I told him I had Bad Credit! He said it my monthly payments will go up $100 more a month! Now remember, this is a Lease for a 2009 Honda Accord ! He told me with $2000 down my leasing price would be $289 a month! He also told us that he could only do it for that price only if the Co-signer became the Primary on this Lease and I became the Co-signer! I have been leasing and buying cars for nearly 15 years and I never had a problem when somebody Co-signed for me! When we filled out the Credit Application and he found out that we had Great Jobs, his attitude changed again! I am just TIRED of People NOT being HONEST & who beats around the bush! I will NEVER RECOMMEND ANY ONE TO THIS DEALERSHIP, EVER!!! My sales rep had a horrible Bedside Manner and he Spoke like a Fortune Teller, everything he said could be interpreted in many different ways!!! He was never straight up with me or my Co-signer and it felt like he had no respect for us(Like we were below him & his Honda's, R U Kidding?) Now I must say that I have been dealing with SI Honda for 12 years.... and I assumed that they took care of me... I sent them close to 100 clients that became loyal clients and all I ever asked for was to be taken care of when I came in to buy or lease a car. They never sent me a thank you or anything which was fine.... but the last year or so the service was fn horrific. The last straw for me was on 3/5 I ordered a Black on Black Accord v6 with navigation.... they couldnt locate one. 3 weeks later I found several of them on line.... DCH in Old Bridge NJ not only had the car but Lauren and Robert beat SI Honda's price by 3500.00!!!!!!!!!!I went that night got the car and went back to SI Honda to get my deposit back and was treated like garbage. I got my refund because I called Amex and they placed a hold on it......Today, I was informed that I would have to wait 4 days to return my leased truck... AHFC stated that ANY HONDA DEALERSHIP WOULD TAKE THE CAR WITHOUT ANY ISSUES.... WELL THEY SHOULD KNOW THAT SI HONDA HAD ISSUES AND GAVE ME A BS STORY OF A 10 DAY GRACE PERIOD... Agreed on one price. When I went in to pick up car all the prices changed. I went from 249 to 299 a month. Taxes were supposed to be included. They padded it on my credit card. Went back immediately to speak to them and they could not be found for five days. When I finally caught up with them, they dismissed me saying too bad I signed the contract.I feel I was taken advantage of.....The reason I signed the paper was that they kept me waiting about three hours and I just wanted to get out of there. I did not think I was dealing with thieves. Shame on them.

I live in Staten Island, but had never purchased a vehicle in Staten Island. My husband thought it would be a community-conscious choice to buy in Staten Island. It was the second lot I went to for the day, I saw a car I liked (after lots of on-line shopping), and the initial sales person seemed genuine and nice enough that I took it for a test drive. His manager and I settled on a price to include the extended warranty (it's not "certified" or covered without it), and I was pleased with the deal. I was leary when the manager had cold, sweaty palms (Eww!), but I had done my research. It was all down hill once they realized that I had reserved my own financing and would not be using theirs. I'm a nurse and my husband a police officer. They told us they didn't think the bank check was good, and we would have to wait for it to clear (despite speaking to the bank whom guaranteed funds within 24hrs of deposit). At one point over the next week (it took them over 2 days to deposit it)they even tried to break the agreement, which I would not do as I new the price was low for what I got. We were treated like common criminals instead of upstanding citizens and customers. Reliable car hopefully, but the next one will be sought elsewhere.

I took my car to this Honda dealer because I was recommended by a good friend of mine. I dont think he's my friend anymore, this was the worst service I have recieved in a long time. I dropped my car off for a problem I was having with my engine, the dealer had installed a waterpump & timing belt. After that repair the car started making a funny humming sound, I returned to the dealer two weeks later and when the vehicle was looked at the service advisor Dave stated that the vehicle had no problem and gave me a list of other things he insisted were wrong with my car. He recommended flushing every fluid in my vehicle, at this time I asked to speak with a manager, that's when Rick came he advised me that if I didn't do these flushes then the warranty on the waterpump and timing belt would be voided for lack of maintaince. I asked if the original humming problem was found he answered no but he'll continue to look while performing the flushes. I then got upset and asked to get my vehicle. I took the vehicke to another Honda dealer (Bay Ridge) which informed me that whoever performed the last repair cracked a plastic that was rubbing on the belt and created this humming noise. Bay Ridge agreed to repair it for free in exchange for my business, so thank you Bay Ridge and for all the people that still visit this service center be careful, they will take your money then act like they dont know you.

Called and spoke to Renzo about 2000 Honda found on internet. Asked if still had on lot. He responded by saying "Yes as of fact, it is right in front of dealership". When I asked him what the interior color was, he didn't know but would go take a look. He put me on hold for a few minutes and then told me it was beige. Since this was for my grandson, I called his mother (my daughter) to tell her to go see car. She called Renzo (1/2 HOUR LATER) and he tells her NO LONGER HAVE ON LOT.FIRST not only tells me on lot BUT states will look and see what interior color is.THEN HALF HOUR LATER no longer on lot.RENZO get your story straight. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME.I should have checked reviews. Just put si honda reviews in google and see what I mean.Do not bother with this dealership ESPECIALLY RENZO OF USED CARS.

To all of you who had a positive experience at this dealership: You have one thing in common, you are buying a NEW car. They were very nice and polite and courteous to me as well when I first went in there three years ago. They have to be to get your business!!! Wait until you have to get your car serviced though or if you leased your car, wait until your lease is up. Read down a few stories and see my experience. These people are big time crooks! This story is about our SECOND negative experience at this dealership. My father went in there and purchased an extended warranty on his vehicle. They were quick to cash his check, but not so quick to send the paperwork in. He went for service a few months later, and lo and behold. Honda had no record of any service contract. We called the sales manager who sold us the warranty. He never returned our calls and everytime we called back, conveniently he was in a meeting. After 4 to 5 days of being given the runaround we went to the dealership in person. We waited for THREE hours. My father walked into the sales manager's office, and the man's response was "Make it quick, I don't have time." Courtesy and professionalism? On what planet? We ended up getting the issue resolved outside of the dealership.

From the time I first walked in the door to purchase an accord, I was treated very nicely by the salesman Johnny Guillett, jr. I was not pressured nor did I feel I was being tricked into something. He was very informative with a great sense of humor. I felt at ease and the whole process of buying my vehicle was quite relaxed. The salesman who had helped me (Mr. George Engel) was very informative and explained several features about the car as it related to safety, economy and performance. He let me know consumers reports had chosen the Accord as it's number 1 pick. This information helped me decide to ultimately buy the vehicle. James was more then helpful for me and my Fiance. After getting out of a Lease with Nissan (horrible) he gave us the BEST price for my new 2008 Accord (that I LOVE!) My credit isnt great by any means and he worked me through ALL the possible options I could do Btw Leasing, Financing for how long how much etc... My overall experience was EXCELLENT I couldnt ask for anything more, they were friendly, personable and most of all Helpful!! The best part I have a car thats great for an even BETTER Price then I could have imagined. I gave them the highest Level for rating because I cant complain about anything, from the moment I walked in the door I was greeted with a huge SMILE and then introduced to James who was a TRUE professional. I recently leased a used car 2006 in late August. It was agreed that the car was to be given to me for 16K and I kept inquiring for my breakdown and invoice. I never received until finally a week before its due date, stating I owe 20K but in actualization when you do the calculations of monthly payments, its 27K. They quote one price and submit a differnet one to Honda Financial Services. They had me sign one tedious document and then used my signature and altered the breakdown which they faxed to Honda Financial Srv. I am writing b/c I want people to know the truth and take stand of this issue. for this price I could have invested in purchasing a brand new 2009 Civic...what individual would commit to a 2006 Civic for that price? NO ONE ...its clear they illegally modify documents & prices behind consumer's knowledge. I am not letting this issue go ...I will contact whomever to be heard regarding this dealership and YOU SHOULD AS WELL.

Staten Island Honda on Hylan continues to prove that traveling to distant Honda dealerships in other states is MUCH PREFERRED than to stay on the Island. From the start, the sales person was trying to knock down the trade in value of my current auto (gave me the slick talk about Galves vs. Kelley). In the end, he gave me three different prices for trade in value, all below what was -- I thought -- agreed on during the sales pitch. In addition, sales person refused to give me the sales price at the beginning of the negotiation, actually waiting to give me the estimated monthly finance charge where I just had to ask what sales price he was working with. For a CRV LX AWD (with an MSRP of $22k), the "bargain" sales price was over $26k. Avoid this SI dealership if you want the headaches and all other BS that comes from a slick talking.

I had made an appointment two weeks in advance to have my Honda serviced. The engine light was on. My appointment was scheduled for 8:15 am. I arrived promptly at 8:00am, checked in, and informed the desk that I will be waiting for the car. After waiting patiently for over two hours (with no word from the service desk) I asked the desk if they had any idea how much longer I should expect to be there. Service desk said 'they should get to it soon'. After waiting two more hours, and seeing other cars arriving and departing, I asked again. Same response. Finally, after ANOTHER THREE hours, I approached the desk again, and upon receiving the same answer I asked to speak to the Manager. The Manager came to me at 4PM (EIGHT hours after I had arrived) and told me that there's thirty more cares ahead of me. WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF AN 8:15 AM appointment and why did nobody inform me of what to expect?? The Manager explained that 'it's a very busy day'. He was still not able to tell me when he would be able to get to my car! It seems that Honda Service found it more profitable to process routine 'oil changes' then to service a more complicated 'engine light' issue'! I finally decided to take my business elsewhere. I had been considering purchasing a new Honda, but this experience had certainly left a bad taste.

I don't know how this dealership is still in operation! In August of 2005 I leased a Honda Accord EX Sedan from this dealership. The biggest mistake I have made in my entire life! My lease is coming due and I wanted to purchase the car. I went into the dealership today to finance the car. They added on a bogus $298 dealer's fee. When I asked the salesman (John Gilani) what this fee covered he could not give me an explanation. This is the second car that we've bought/leased from this dealership, so a prudent person would assume that some consideration would be given for customer loyalty. Negative. After 3 or 4 trips to the business manager (Faysel Tehseen) we had the fee waived. So at this point it seems like things are looking up.... until we went into Faysel's office. The buyout price including taxes and fees and everything was $14,500. I have excellent credit, never made a late payment and about a 720 credit score. They gave me an 7.9% interest rate (market rate is 6.5%). Go onto any financial website that has auto loan calculators. Monthly payment for a 5 year loan, $14,500 principal at a 7.9 interest is about $290 (which is still too high given the ridiculous interest rate). What was the payment we were quoted? $332!!!! Thats almost an extra $2500 over the life of the loan. When I told him it was too high and asked for an explanation for the difference, he closed the file, shoved it across his desk and told us to leave. So much for customer service!!! If you want to be swindled, disrespected and humiliated this is definitely the place to go!

I should've found this site before I made my move, now I regret so much that I almost wanna cry.I was looking for a Honda Fit, 2 weeks ago I found the color and option that I want, Honda Fit Sport in Manual tranny. I called and spoke with Paul, he said yes he has the car (I searched online and it shows in stock), then I went in the next day to talk about the price, yea I got a price quote of about 50 dollars under invoice, pretty good for Honda FIT, right ?3 days later was where Things got ugly at the Financing DepartmentFirst off, it seems that they will have you *sit* around for at least an hour before they will let you *speak* with the financing manager. So u never really paid attention to the papers and the BS they give you. In short, they will first tell you you're not Tier 1 rating, then they start giving you a ridiculous loan with a Finance charge that cannot be found in either Simple interest or Compound interest Rate. I was so tired that day of the time (like almost 9pm), I saw the numbers it has a finance charge of 3000 something dollars for a 11 K loan !!! I was *shock* by the bullshit he gave me, then he changed the crap and me to get Extended warranty, and he will swap the finance charge into the Deal, monthly payment stays the same. I was SOOOOO fuxking stupid that time, I was so tired and stuff, I never believe in extended warranty crap and this time ... I fell into this trap.After Signing the shit I drove the car and within the first 2 miles (odometer saids 5), the TPMS system failed and stay on ...then 2 days later I went back tried to cancel the extended warranty cuz I think Im going to sell this car before the *regular bumper to bumper* warranty ends. then this *fuxking* asshole, again his name is Magic, starts giving me crap like "Oh it takes me 8-700 hundred dollars to cancel because thats what the bank charges, plus another 500 for canceling the VIN entachment* I almost want to get up and punch him in the face. He never, ever, told me nor did I sign anything that gives me these kind of bullshit. So I just got up and leave. Now Im seeking legal advise from my friend as his father is a lawyer. He told me I can sue the dealership, just legal fees alone will cost him more than the money he rip off from me. and of course my legal fees would be free. This site tells me one more thing, there should be *quite* a lot of people got scammed by this bullshit crap. We should all stand up and sue these bastards. Please STAY AWAY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP !!!!!!!!! DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Okay. It seems like it is a recurring theme. But here is my story..On Jan 3rd 2008 I was given a price of $259 a month for 32 months for a 2008 accord coupe. No money down just taxes and fees upfront. I was saying to myself "wow that is a good price" etc... The next day I go back to pick up the car and I am told that my credit score was not tier 1 and that I was declined by the original bank. So they took it into their own hands to approve me for another bank which my payments would be $299 a month for 42 months. I said NO! I don't want it for that price or terms. After they try to tell me every reason why $299 is not a bad price... I still refuse and ask for my deposit back. Then the finance manager calls in his boss and they both use big dealership words and they pretend to lower the price to $289... They even say at one point to each other, "we have no choice well have to take a loss and give it to them at $289".... At this point I wanted to say... Wow thank you kind sir... you are willing to take a loss on this car for a stranger..aww how nice.. !!!!!! PLEASE!!!! They can give me that car for $199 a month and still make moneyback to the story... I still refuse it at 289.. My deal was 259 and I am not going to be suckered in!.....So then I am told that I pretty much have no choice and have to take the car because they paid money to have it sent here I laughed in their faces and left their as soon as possible and made a scene just so I can save some others from that horrible place... I quickly went home and called my credit company who is going to dispute the charge. I also sent a letter to honda and the attorney general's office... STAY AWAY!!!!5 Steps taken by Staten Island Honda to Scam you: 1)Give you a low lease price that has you saying wow good deal2)Have give a deposit but they dont complete the paperwork until the next day3)Bring in the car so you fall in love with it and they hope you make your decisions with your heart and not your brain 4)Tell you the next day your credit is low or that you werent approved by the bank and decide to give you new terms and prices without your approval5)Tell you you have to take the car now that it is here and refuse to give you your money back

After obtaining a good price from some NJ Honda dealers, i told the salesman from SI Honda John Gilani when he called me (originally i got a price quote from him), that i am not going to buy a car from him, but go to Nj (the price difference was $600). He then called me back again and offered the same price if i finance thru the dealer. I told him i can do that, but the only loan i will sign would be without prepayment penalty and time frame obligation. After contacting his finance department he called me back again and said, yes, you can come and make a deal. We came, brough $1,500 cash deposit and signed a contract. Suddenly John tells me that car is not ready and we will be able to pick it up on Monday (it was saturday). Ok. Monady, the manager calls me into his room and ask to sign a finance contract with 9% interest and 24 months lock up. I was speechless. I called this "smart" salesman and asked him to repeat what he promissed me. He said i am sorry, but i didn't know that this is the only one loan Honda offers. Before he was telling me depending on your credit history, you will be able to choose from many different produicts of loans we have. This was the first lie. I said i specifically mentioned the ONLY loan i will sign. When i tryed to cancel the deal and leave, the manager told me deposit is not refundable. What do i do? So now, the manager tells me if i pay them $550 more for the car, i can get any other loan Honda offers with no prepay penalty etc. Before the same manager told me that Honda has only one specific loan and i have no other choice, but after getting more money suddenly they created many other loans. The botoom line: these people are CROOKS, do even step inside this dealership!!!!! EVER!!!

Sales person and sales manager was lying to me about "2 years license plate fee". charged me registration car fee of $68 and also $135 for 2 years license plate. I could not find anywhere on http://www.nysdmv.com/regfee.htm ( New York State Department OF motor vehicle) anything about this fee. Very disappointed. When he brought all paperworks , asked him to give me a receipt for $135, 2 years license plate fee, he refused to provide me this.here is exact phrase from NYSDMV "The fee to replace a set of two standard series plates and registration documents is $18.00."Replacement could not be mach less expensive than to get a new one.

These people are fraud artists. I leased a Honda Civic from this dealer ship on August 30, 2006 and I am still waiting for my plates and registration. Granted I live in NJ so this is an out of state transaction but it should not take over two months to complete. I am driving around with an expired temporary registration and if I was to get pulled over who knows what would happen. I am at the point where I don't know what to do. I called the dealership a 100 times to no avail and no one ever calls me back. I had to use a fake name to just to get a call back and then I was hung up on. If anyone can help please reply and let me know. These people should not be allowed to conduct business ANYWHERE!

Buying a Honda at this dealership has to be the WORST experience I've ever had when purchasing a car. Not only are they deceitful, but they are dishonest, uncaring about buyers after the deal is made, and care only about the profit. They do not return calls. Dissatisfied buyers are forced to return to the dealership again and again to either see the salesman that sold them the car, or to talk to management. No one is ever available or they are "busy." The salesman I had not only lied about the price, but added additional items into the deal that I failed to pick up on until after the signing of the contract. My fault, I know. When management was advised of a serious problem, they advised me that the awful salesman was already fired. Since the car had already been picked up and the deceit was not discovered until after that, they could do nothing. I will NEVER go near that dealership again and I make it a point to tell everyone I know that they should avoid the dealership at all costs. When you buy a Honda, you buy a great and reliable car. It's a shame that a new car like a Honda cannot be enjoyed because of deceit on the part of the Honda dealer.

I was interested in Leasing a 2006 Honda Civic EX. After asking for dealer quotes online, Staten Island Honda replied asking me to contact them because they "had" the car I was looking for. I called and was given a quote. The amount was high and I asked if a better deal could be made. A new quote was offered to me ONLY AFTER ALL MY FINANCIAL INFORMATION WAS TAKEN. He said he would "check" and get back to me with a deal. We came to an agreement and it was going to take 1 to 2 weeks to get the car in. He took my credit card number for a deposit, gave me a vin number for my insurance. He called a week later and said the car CAME IN and to come the next day and sign the lease and transfer my insurance. The next day I called to verify time and so forth and was told EVERYTHING WAS FINE and to come. That day I got rid of my old car so that the plates would be free and transfered my insurance to the new car.When I showed up, they made me wait for the dealer for about half an hour, then he came out and said that the car that came in was in a different color by mistake, oh and by the way it was an LX and not an EX. Shocked not that a mistake was made but that he didn't warn me about it when I spoke to him on the phone I was outraged. All I could think about was that I got rid of my old car and there was no car waiting for me...It got worse, not only was there no car, there was no deal at all. The amount we agreed to on the phone didn't exit and he said I was declined by his banks. I became enraged about the entire situation and all they could say was "there is no need for unpleasantness and pointing fingers". They could try one last bank tomorrow in a last ditch effort to get me that lease, but the quote we discussed was only for Tier One credit and would not apply to me. I brought up the fact that none of this was mentioned on the phone and that all my information must have been taken for a reason and that I was lead to believe there were no problems. They just kept backtracking and making excusses. Its not their fault, he could not have possibly told me that...I stormed out and took my business to another dealer the very next day.DO NOT TRUST THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!
