Went in for a routine oil change. My car was experiencing a few problems with my engine, gas mileage, etc.....Pete, the head service rep, took a look at it and found that I might have some bad piston rings. He gave me a form to fill out to monitor my oil consumption. He was very detailed and explained everything very well to me. THANKS!!

A few months ago I bought a 2015 Silverado Z71 Midnight Edition from House Chevrolet, absolutely love the truck. This past weekend someone did a horrible act and "door dinged" my truck. I was crushed. I took the truck back to House Chevrolet to see it there was anything they could do. They were personally crushed as well and felt my pain. They immediately got my truck in to the body shop and had it fixed in less than a day. I can honestly say that House Chevrolet cares about their customers. Thank you.

My mission was to pick up our new 2015 Corvette Stingray, trade-in our 2008 model and receive training for all of the nuances of our new vehicle. The car had broken down while on the interstate on a Sunday, of course. We had AAA tow it to House Chevrolet. I contacted Greg, one of the owners and explained the situation. Greg said to have the tow truck driver leave the vehicle in the lot and drop the keys in the drop slot. He said they would look at the vehicle and call me on Monday. Monday morning I was contacted by the shop supervisor, Pete, who went over the breakdown facts with me. We agreed on what was wrong, as I have some years of automotive knowledge behind me, and Pete explained exactly what their plan was to effect repairs. They had the vehicle ready and running that day, at the promised time. Their service department has always been outstanding, as has their entire staff and facility. That is why we have bought our last two vehicles from them, and never felt the need to "shop around". I live in Rochester, MN, where there are MANY car dealers, however, I gave up on all of them and their sales "ploys", and deal with Greg, or Bob, at House Chevrolet for vehicle purchases. They are straightforward and honest, without the "games" often encountered in the auto sales business. I was in sales for 26 years and tire, quickly, of those routines. We plan to patronize House Chevrolet for the foreseeable future.

This is the second vehicle I have bought from this dealership. I drive 30 miles to go there. They always have friendly and fair service not just for purchasing vehicles, but especially for repairing them. This is the second vehicle I have bought from this dealership. I drive 30 miles to go there. They always have friendly and fair service not just for purchasing vehicles, but especially for repairing them. While travelling from northwest Iowa, we hit a deer in the middle of Saturday night that disabled our car in the area that House Chevrolet, Stewartville, Mn serves. When we called 911, the state police had Greg there within 15 minutes, and he took car and us in to where we could wait for some family to come get us. I checked out their shop and work and decided to have them repair our car. Our insurance company gave a good report of them doing wonderful and timely work. The parts all came on time and they had it all repaired in less time then first thought. We were surprized when they called us that our car was all ready to go. Greg,I bought a suburban from you 12 years ago. The car has been great. I don't buy that many new cars. I'm writing though to just say what a great experience I have had with your service dept and your manager Pete in particular. I wanted to pass on my impressions dealing with him. The car hasn't needed much but with 12 years and 140,000 miles there are some inevitable things that wear out. Pete has always been great to work with, gets things done quickly and always looks for the solution to get the most cost effective fix without taking short cuts. My most recent experience really highlighted this again. He never tries to over sell, or tack on unnecessaries and takes a common sense approach when deciding what should be done and when. Over 30 years of dealing with cars and motorcycles there are only 2 places I whole heartedly trust the service department. Your is one of them, and Pete is a big part of that. Its so rare and so critically important to a business. That alone is why when its time to buy something new it will be from your group. The same level of customer service goes for the cashiers and other people in your dealership - its rare and I'm sure your proud of it. I don't know what you pay him, but he's worth it and more. I have bought several vehicles from this dealership over the past 20 or so years and have always thought I got a good and straight deal. In addition, the service on both the vehicle purchases and from the service department in subsequent visits have always been friendly and expertly done. If Pete tells me that something needs to be done to the vehicle, I know that is what needs to be done, no more no less than what is needed.The family feeling at this dealership is wonderful. One incident stands out as an example of the service that is common place from this dealership. A number of years ago, I had to be in the hospital overnight and my wife had some serious car trouble. She called Pete who asked her, what she needed. She replied, "come pick up this car and bring me another one so I can get my husband home from the hospital." Pete's reply was "done." Within a very short time, Bob and Bev House showed up with a tow truck and another vehicle for us to drive. We do all our service work at House Chevrolet and will buy vehicles only from them.

I would highly recommend this dealer. I've been doing business at House Chevrolet for the past twelve years and have purchased two cars at the dealership. The House family and employees make me feel as though I am the most important customer they have. I've observed them treat their other customers that way as well. In purchasing my two cars, I felt that I was given the fairest possible deal in my purchase. I recently ordered a new Chevrolet Malibu and Greg did an excellent job of keeping me informed as to when my car would be delivered and once it arrived. I felt as though his main goal was to assure that I was happy with my new car, that I felt confident in my purchase.I would also recommend the service department. Pete and his crew are absolutely the best. I won't take my car anywhere else even for something as simple as an oil change. I'm a very very satisfied customer!

Met me at the door with a loaner car ready to go and met or exceeded all the maintenance needs I had. They have a nice customer lounge and made sure I had a cup of coffee and spent some time just talking with Bob House. Greg went out of his way to greet me and talk with me for a few minutes too.

This was the most painless purchase I have ever made. They should rename it "Painless Chevrolet". It took only 7 minutes to get a response after I made my inquiry about a vehicle I was interested in. Brian made me feel at ease from the get go. I never felt pressured while I was making my decision. Bob House who is the owner was very reassuring and very helpful and his wife is such a wonderful lady. Everything about the dealership from lot setup to the beautiful showroom was very professional looking, yet felt very "down home". The folks at House Chevrolet have always treated me with courtesy, professionalism, and that small "home town" attitude that is tough to find. It may be a bit out of the way to trek down there from Rochester, but the service is worth it. I have always dealt with Greg on what amounts to five different vehicle purchases now. He has always worked hard to get me in the vehicle I want. Their pricing is slightly higher than I could have done at one of the Minneapolis area dealerships -- but the difference was less than $500. To me, knowing the type of service I always receive and with the cost of fuel, the $500 difference became pretty negligible. What you DO get at House is treated like one of the family. Everyone knows your name, recognizes you as a customer, and goes out of their way to make things right. The delivery process, paperwork, and all that are painless. You won't find any finance department folks here trying to up sell you on everything under the sun. Greg was my salesman, finance guy, and delivery person. Since his name is on the front of the building, he doesn't have to go "check with the sales manager" to finalize the deal. You get honest, hard working folks who are interested in being your Chevy dealer for life, not for one purchase. Tough to find in this day and age.Oh, and one more thing, that to me goes further than anything else. You get 100% honesty and respect. They do what they say they are going to do, when they say they are going to do it. PERIOD!Like I said, this is vehicle number 5 for me purchased from them. All the transactions are smooth, painless, and satisfying. I have and will continue to recommend House Chevrolet to all my best friends.

Brian did a nice job of finding the right new Chevrolet truck for us. He searched for both 2011 and 2012 model year trucks and helped us figure out what would work best. I believe the price was fair and they worked with us on a trade in. The new truck was ready to pick up when they said it would be and Brian made sure I understood how everything worked prior to leaving the dealership. Brian followed up several days later to make sure I was satisfied and to answer any questions that I had. I this was a stress-free purchase and I appreciate that!

I have found the people there very nice and they know how to treat there customers from the top man down to the salesman who sold me my Chevy Cruze. I just want to send a huge thank you out to House Chevrolet, especially Brian H. Brian was the complete opposite of the stereotypical car salesman. He shot straight with me, he was honest about my questions, and was prompt with each contact. I spent about a month wavering back and forth and Brian showed nothing but patience. The kicker to this was, I was 9 hours away. He had to think the chances of selling the car were slim...yet he constantly went the extra mile. I drove up one Friday night, he and the owner opened the dealership up 1 hour BEFORE regular business hours, and I got the car of my dreams.
