Purchased a 2017 Sonata Sport. This was the easiest car purchase we have ever made. We had picked a few cars on the lot that we were considering on Sunday and went back on the weekend and were met by Salesman Tim Dealz. After discussing the pros and cons of those cars, Tim took us to one that we had not even seen. The Sonata Sport had everything we wanted!! We left with it and couldn't be happier. This car has the smoothest ride!! It's extremely comfortable and very sporty. If you are looking for a new car I urge you to visit Tim at Athens Hyundai and take a test drive!

I Am 19 years old and have to so many dealerships to buy my first car. Every single one did the exact same thing as the last. First had me look at a i was interested tell me i can get it for the amount im wanting to pay run a credit check tell me i cant get for the monthly paynents i desire then try to get me into a new 2017 car. I walked into this Hyundai dealership with my mother and we both got a warm welcome by Tim Dealzwe explained our situation and our previous experiences with other dealerships and he promised to make the process as quick and painless as possible, which he did. He was very efficient,quick, knowledgeable, funny and overall just a pleasure to work with, and after doing a credit check we met the salse manager Ms.Patricia Cheeks who was absolutely fabulous super friendly, great personality, and overall just puts out positive vibes. Tim and ms.Pat did theyre best to find a car within my budget and did unlike most dealerships who come back and tell you that you can get for an extra 100 dollars a month more than you expected these two found acar that would hopefully work in my budget and after a little bit hey came back telling me i can get the car for what i want i wanted to pay without trying to hassel me or lush me into something newer i would highly recommend this dealer ship and even more so recomend you speak to Tim Dealz and Ms.Patricia Cheeks aka Ms.Fabulous

I took my car to them because the car would not excelerate when I mashed on the gas and the air conditioner was not working. I took my car in on a Tuesday or a Wednesday. They called me after they looked the car over (2001 sante fe) and told me the engine probably needed a sensor and brushes for the ac. Friday I get a call from the Service dept manager saying that the condensor was bad and it turned out not to be the brushes and he then quoted me a higher price. He told me parts for ac had to ordered. The the next week I got a call and I was told that it was not the sensor for the engine and that it was the catalitic converter and again it had to ordered and again the price went up a lot. The next week comes and the service manager calls and said that he would take a 100 dollars off my bill at my request and he would send the car out to another shop because the other shop could do the catalitic converter cheaper. In the middle of the second week it was now two weeks that they had my car. I got my car back and the gas tank was completely on empty. I drove accross the stree to fill up on gas and when I was leaving the gas station I turned the ac on and it worked poorly and I drove another two miles and it did not work. I returned to the dealership and he said the part must be faulty and told me to return with the car Monday morning and I could wait while they fixed it. I also complained that they gave me back my car on completely empty and I had origionally left the car with them with a quarter of a tank. They replaced the faulty part they had put on the air conditioner. I pick up my car again and the ac came on and after driving for 15 minutes it decreased in how cold the air was. I again took it back and the repairman told me in front of the salesman I was talking and said it could be the evaporator and that would be an additional 4 hours of labor to fix that with also the cost additional. I had already paid over a $1000 dollars and I was over two weeks without my car. I brought my car to Hyundai because my car is a Hyundai. I could not believe what was happening and the head manager who I talked to Monday ( after the first wednesday that I initially brought my car in) because of how rude his head service manager had been to me told he would check into things and call me back, He never did, Over the next two weeks I left two messages and he never returned any of my calls. I have never had a car in the shop that long before and I am 67 years old. I have not gone back to them and I never will. They did not send me a survey to complete. My son looked up this survey site for me and we both determined that they don't want negative reviews. The car salemens that was talking to me about buying a new hyundai admitted to me the service dept was not the best. He understood when I told hin that I would never buy a hyundai sante fe from that athens dealership. I will buy new 2017 from gwinnett ga dealership, My name is Jacqueline Milton- very dissappointed

Due to Hyundai Corporate's refusal to finance at the original rate (it doubled), I feel I am paying too much compared to other Hyundai dealerships advertising payments as low as $145 a month, zero percent interest, rebates, etc. The reason I was given was my credit score which is being reviewed and corrected and I wish I could have waited but I had to have a dependable vehicle immediately. Otherwise Hyundai of Athens was exceptional to deal with.

Think we got there about 5PM and didn't leave until about 10:30PM with our new car. Way too long. Several people got involved. Girl in finance office we ended up with was very nice but had to keep asking for help on the computer. Car was not properly prepped. Too much going back and forth on the deal with the "boss" regarding my trade. I had the perfect trade. Salesman told me a few days later when I called they sold my trade immediately. Should have sold it myself.

I visited the dealership with no expectations of getting a deal done as I was upside down on my current vehicle (2013 Hyundai Sonata GLS) and my credit is a bit shaky. I merely stopped by because I received a solicitation to "trade-up" and I figured why not drop in and chat if nothing transpires so be it, I had a decent car! Well low and behold after patiently waiting on December 31, 2015 a deal was done! I drove off the lot in a brand new 2016 Hyundai Elantra Limited....I got my fog lights and leather seats! I must say that Torrey Robinson (Mr. Real Talk) was key in maintaining my sanity throughout the process and when he wasn't able to be there Nick Senesac stepped in and played his role in the process very well. Jay West is a character but his faith is what made me believe that a deal would be done. The GM Mr. Keith Johnson also eludes confidence and professionalism! Chris Miller also helped in getting the deal done and I appreciate the entire team for giving it 100%! I pray that these guys continue to accomplish their goals in the automotive industry and that the Hyundai of Athens dealership becomes one of the best and well-known around because they deserve it! I called the service dept on saturyday afternoon to inquire about an issue I was having with my Sonata. My tire light was on at the dash.I spoke to a service associate name Mark. He listened to my problem and invited me to come in right away. What? No appt needed? No we cant get to it today?Wow.I came in around 4pm not knowing the service dept closed at 4.Mark never mentioned that on the phone or when I arrived. He was only concerned with helping me.Come to find out it was only low tire pressure causing the warning light and he repaired it at the drive in area. What customer service. Kudos to Mark. I will tell everyone about this experience and recommend him to everyone I know!

2011 Sonata Service. Mark Murphy was extremely friendly and helpful, & I'm very excited about not having to drive to the Greater Atlanta area for a dealership going forward. I stopped by shortly after they opened (late December) when my TPS Warning came on. Mark has someone check the tire, which came back a little low. They put nitrogen to get the PSI up (since all my ties are on Nitrogen) & reset the TPS sensor. Because this was an ongoing issue, he told me there was no charge for the work today, to monitor the tire, and swing back by if it happened again.A few weeks later, the TPS came on again. I needed to get the 52500 maintenance & 2 campaigns (recalls) done, so I took it in again. They discovered this time that a previous tire company has mounted the tire, which had a directional tread, backwards when they had plugged the tire. That was causing it to slowly leek over time. They replugged, correctly mounted, & put nitrogen in the tire again. Cost was $34.95, which I didn't mind since they had looked at it previously without cost.One of the "Campaigns" was handled without issue. I had to hold on the 2nd because of time issues & because the dealership didn't have any sort of "loaner" or "service" vehicles (please note that Mark offered to drop me off and pick me up, but that wasn't feasible at the time), which I'm hoping is something they remedy quickly. My 52500 oil change was also taken care of at the time. This is where my "Price" rating comes in as the cost for the oil change was $31.95. This is 50% higher than I had been paying for Oil Changes (& that maintenance level).

The service center manager, Mark, made apologies and offered to run right then to the store and get one :). I opted to wait until the next day. Not only did they change the oil but they topped off all fluids, checked the car out totally, and made recommendations for what I needed with the order of importance. I was provided the full price of all repairs and there was never once any pressure or suggestion that I get these services at their dealership. Everyone was friendly and the dealership is sparkling clean. It was the kind of experience that makes you just want to stop in and say hello when you pass their way.

He also noticed that a recall issue had not been addressed on my car and called it to my attention. He had that handled for me while I was at the dealership. I do appreciate his attentiveness to detail, and his professional assistance. I don't recall the name of the service technician, but he did leave a card on my sun visor. He did a thorough job, and did not leave any kind of dirt/smudges inside my vehicle. He also completed the work in what I felt was a timely manner.

You can't walk in without being greeted enthusiastically by everyone. It is difficult walking out without a new set of keys, even if you only went in for service. Service department is friendly and professional and didn't seem to be overselling. In fact they explained why I DIDN'T need a few services. They do charge a bit much for some other services that I didn't use today, but all in all it was a pretty good experience.

A newly-opened dealership that looks spick and span throughout. A number of flat screen tvs, along with coffee, snack and drink machines are provided should you need to wait. I called without an appointment and was seen immediately. Mark who manages the service side of things is a very personable individual. He quickly and efficiently took care of my vehicle and afterwards provided a useful inspection report along with a detailed account of work performed. Whilst there, "Product Specialist' Lacey, showed me some new model vehicles, bringing the vehicles to me inside as it was cold and wet outside. At no time was I subjected to any hard-selling and the whole process was very friendly and welcoming. I have no hesitation in recommending this dealership based on this initial meeting.

I was expecting when I brought my car into be serviced that I would be told, not what my car needed, but what "Hyundai" needed to have done to my car. However, this wasn't the case at all. I was told your car is good to go, and that they did not want to waste my money on "repairs and servicing" that did not need to be done. What a breathe of fresh air. One last thing, Mr. Lee (the owner) makes one mean cup of coffee. Don't believe me, ask him yourself.

Mark answered all my questions about their offerings as a new dealer in the Athens area, and encouraged me to consider using their services when I next need vehicle maintenance. Jason Worden, the service technician, programmed my remote control in a short time frame, and I appreciated that. While I was waiting for my remote control to be programmed, I found other staff to also be friendly, occasionally checking to ensure that my needs were met. Price for work performed was comparable with what other providers would have charged me for the same service. Hyundai of Athens provided excellent service . . . excellent atmosphere . . . beautiful, clean facility . . . friendly, helpful staff. I will soon need my vehicle serviced.
