I have been a customer of Jeffrey Honda for over 20 years and have had good experiences with both the sales and service staff. However, my last visit to the dealership was so unpleasant I will never use it again. I had to return the car to correct the mistakes made by the service department. While I was there, one of the employees decided that the customers needed to know about his political views. I asked him to stop as the customer lounge was not the place for such a discussion and he told me that he could say whatever he pleased to a customer and that I had to put up with it or leave. Although I sent an email to the service manager to complain about the lack of quality care in the service department and the poor attitude of an employee, I did not receive a response. Apparently, failing to provide quality repair service and quality customer service is no longer a consideration for this dealership. Go elsewhere unless you want to pay for poor service.

There was a civic Honda on the floor with a sign get this $166. a month, I asked the sales personhelping us to get us a quote with no down payment he came back with $360.00 a month with no down payment so how much down payment to get it at $166.00 he said $3,600OK if I can Pay $266.00 a month can I get it with no down payment because the $3,600 divided by36 months is $100 more to the $166. payment. he said no. So to get it at $166. mo it comes to $7,200 down payment ridiculous!Do the math people don't ever believe their discounts lies and waste of time for smart buyers.

We received a coupon for an oil change from Honda for $9.95. I called Jeffrey Honda and asked if this applied to my mothers 2012 Odyssey van, since it requires 0w-20 oil. At first Gil said no, and then after pressing further he agreed to honor it. He also told me that some other maintenance items should be done as well... Anti-freeze flush, brake fluid flush and transmission fluid change. I asked how much each of these items was and wrote it on the coupon. Before I went to Jeffrey dealership service department for appointment, I checked the maintenance schedule for her van and found that both the anti-freeze and brake fluid changes were due to be done, but the transmission fluid change was not due until 90,000 miles! When I refused the trans fluid change the prices for the other two items went up from what I was quoted on the phone by Gil. Then I was told by Gil that Jeffrey recommends changing trans fluid ($95) at 30K miles because "The roads are very rough around here". We are talking about the metropolitan Detroit area! Beware, of up-selling, price changes and selling services that are not required under warranty service schedule! Upon departure, Gil said to me "I would shake your hand but my hands are dirty"... I had no intention of shaking the hand of a man that tries to rip off the customers that provide his paycheck! I will never return to Jeffrey Honda.

I recently had my car repainted in the body shop after vandalism and was very satisfied with the work done as well as the way the repair was handled by the manager. He was courteous and professional and I would recommend their service to anyone. As a separate matter, I stopped in when I picked up my car to get a quote on a new CRV with specific requirements, re: make, model etc. and was told that someone would email an estimate to me. I have not received one so have requested and received a quote from another Honda dealer.

The new car I purchased had after-market seat heaters installed prior to sale. Unfortunately, the car was damaged during the process. The driver's door well was severely gouged by the removal/reinstallation of the driver's seat, and sloppily covered up via reapplication of the (shredded) airbag warning sticker. I didn't notice it until the day after the sale. Also at delivery, there was no owner's manual in the vehicle and the tire pressure warning light was illuminated.Jeffrey acknowledged the paint issue, and stated that it was an outside job to help move the vehicle off the sales floor. The damaged area was repainted by Jeffrey, however, the paint job had specs of debris (because it's performed outdoors by a mobile contractor). I took it back and had them repaint it again.I will say that the Jeffery sales team were apologetic and worked to remedy the situation(s), but there are two lessons to be learned: (1) When a car leaves a Honda factory, it does not require dealership "improvement", and (2), Cars should be inspected thoroughly prior to delivery to the customer.

My warranty ran out almost three years ago, but I still go to Jeffrey Honda for service even though an independent mechanic might be cheaper. I put a lot of stock in customer service and friendliness, and Gil Ibarra and company pile on both in heavy doses. Their technical competence is top-notch too. I keep coming back to Jeffrey Honda and I see no reason to change at this point. Five stars.

The moonroof on my 2014 CR-V retracted suddenly and unexpectedly while driving. We were unable to close the moonroof using the switch. When I brought it to the dealership, they were Very interested. They had not seen this before. They kept the CR-V for almost a week while they determined the cause and then ordered the required parts. When I picked up my vehicle, Gil showed me the unit that was replaced and explained the cause for the failure. He explained that this was covered under the warranty and there would be no charge to me. I am very satisfied with the professionalism and concern that Gil and his staff displayed. I would recommend this dealership to anyone.

The Honda Service Personnel are friendly and professional, and they either know I don't like being "up sold" or they've changed their attitude toward trying to up sell every service call, which makes visiting this service center a much better experience. Nice comfy chairs to wait in, and they wash your car (not the best car wash, but hey, they try :). The coupons make for a good deal, and if you have other car issues, they can explore them while your in for your oil change. Sure beats the express oil change chains!

I went in to get my 30k service on my 97 Honda Accord that has 270k thousand miles on it. I worked with Gil and he gave me a quote over the phone that eventually met the quote he gave me when I actually went to pay. Gil was very friendly and told the issues I had wrong with the car so I could decide what and when it gets replaced. Gil was very pleasant to talk with and explained everything to me, including needing some rotors. I don't know much about cars but considered the price reasonable and quality of work good. My only (small) disappointment was the car wash. The windows were spotted and there was still dirt on the drivers side. I went to a car wash and had it redone. Other than that I am pleased with Honda and Gil's service. I appreciate the reminder e-mails, the quickness of time to have my car serviced, and the friendliness of the staff.Spirit

I like Ryan and Gil, they have their own personalities that make your experience a great one. They take good care of each customer that comes through the door. They are always willing to help make your experience a pleasant one, even though you don't want to pay to have your car fixed. They tell you want needs to be fixed right now and what can be fixed later, that makes good sense and I'm sure people appreciate that very much with every thing going up these days and our roads are falling apart, which caused major repair on our cars - that is why I use the Honda service department, I like dealing with them and they turn around your visit in a timely manner as long as its not a major repair.

My wife and I have been very happy customers at Jeffrey Honda for over 20 years. My wife first began bringing her 1993 Honda Civic to be serviced at Jeffrey Honda when we moved to the East Side in 1995. In 2005, she purchased a 2004 Honda Pilot, fully loaded, from Jeffrey Honda. The salesperson, Denise, was very friendly, knowledgeable, and low key. My wife and I have since brought her Pilot to be serviced regularly at Jeffrey. The two service people that we have regularly dealt with, Gil and Ryan, have always been extremely friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. They always have an answer for any problems we may have encountered with our vehicles, yet have never tried to sell us any unneeded repairs. Jeffrey Honda also offers shuttle service for its service customers. They also offer nice touches like washing the car of every vehicle that is serviced at the dealership. Last week, after about a year of researching cars to replace my now 11 year old truck, I decided to purchase a 2013 Honda Civic Sedan. I bought my car from Jeff Gillingham, who was very courteous, responsive to my needs, yet without subjecting me to "the hard sell." My wife and I also met Dave, the (assistant?) manager, who helped us with the final paperwork on the sale of my car. He was very patient and explained all of the documentation to us in a thorough manner. I am already enjoying my new Honda Civic Sedan. I would highly recommend this dealership to anyone looking to buy or service a car. One of the factors that went into my decision to buy a Honda Civic (besides, of course, its excellent reputation) was my knowledge of the great lengths this dealership goes to make its customers happy. thanks everyone and I look forward to many more years of dealing with Jeffrey. Went in twice for service. First time dealt with Gil. He was very rude. I have had several Honda's and have never had such terrible service.Second time dealt with Ryan. When they brought my car to me. The engine light was on and it was idling erratically. How could they not notice this??? The service was also very expensive. Take your car to another dealer DO NOT GO HERE.

Purchased a new Honda and received it in unsatisfactory condition. He had already sent it to be detailed 4 times (two of them when I was at the dealership to pick it up). I called him the next morning as it was still not satisfactory and Jeff was unwilling to assist me. I have never had this happen to me before. It is not ok to treat customers this way.

I went to Jeffrey Honda to diagnose my SRS (airbag) problem , the SRS light on my dashboard was always on. Highly disappointed with my experience, they charged me $95 to tell me that the whole computer control unit needs to be replaced for $800 which I already knew , more than the worth of my 1997 Civic. They did not even tighten up the dashboard screws when they removed to diagnose the problem and I had to do it myself. They did not even do a courtesy check of the other systems if they are malfunctioning. Highly rude staff and completely discourteous. I would never ever go to Jeffrey honda in Gratiot

Paula is amazingly easy to work with. If she doesn't have an answer, she finds it, and I truly appreciate that. Her warm, yet upfront personality make car buying a snap. I also appreciate the "numbers guy" who presented me with several options as to whether lease or finance my new Civic. He was completely no pressure, and allowed me to make the decisions that were best for me. I do have one negative issue to report, however. Due to the rainy conditions when I picked up my new car, I didn't notice that the window sticker left a sticky outline on my window. Whatever was on the passenger side mirror left the same residue. In short, it seems that my car wasn't really overly prepped for delivery, and I do find that a bit irritating.

I had a coupon for a 19.95 oil change. The regular price of you oil change it too high. I only continue to get my oil changed at the dealership because of my long standing realationship with the Honda Service Dept. I've know Gil, Ric (mechanic) and others for more than 25 years. I go back to the days of Eastland Imports on Eat Eight Mile. EWveryone in the Honda Service Dept. is GREAT!

went into store to have several items repaired on vehicle, & I knew the bill would be expensive. One item that was needed was to have rotors resurfaced. Rotors were measured and were still within minimum thickness. was told that the brake pads were not "honda" and would have to be replaced front & rear and the cost would be $500. I only asked for the rotors to be resurfaced, and that would cost $100. Took car home pulled rotors and had resurfaced for $20. Final bill was over $2000. Will not return to dealership. BUYER BE WARE - lesson learned.

Jeff was on top of things from start to finish. Before I filed my claim with Allstate I had Jeff give me an estimate for the damage. I was shocked and awed---a dealership gave me the lowest estimate!! After getting the claim settled with Allstate I immediately (within an hour) drove my new Ridgeline to Jeffrey Honda and put it into Jeff Emmon's capable hands. When I picked it up a few days later I gave it a very close look-over. I was completely satisfied. I couldn't tell where the difference between the old paint and the new paint and believe me I looked at the work very closely. Whatever Jeffrey Honda is paying Jeff Emmons and the body and paint guys is a good investment for the dealership.Yes I do recommend Jeffrey Honda to my friends. I even recommend Honda to my crybaby UAW friends. They don't want to hear it but so what. I got a good deal with my Honda and at the right price.

Went in there to trade in my truck and purchase a new car that was smaller and more fuel efficient. Well, they appraised my truck around 4,000 less than KBB POOR. Yes POOR, and it was in good condition with loads of extras. The worst part was they said the price was all they could do, they would not work with me at all. I said I would be willing to take poor value, and they still wanted their price. I worked for nearly 5 hours cleaning the truck and 3 hours in the dealership, taking off work! If you want to give money away, go to Jeffery, he'll take it from ya.

when i came in for an oil change # weeks ago , i was told by an employee that my rear brakes had only 20% left amd needed replacing. I took a day off work to come get it done only to have Gil call me to say that my brakes are fine and dont need replacing. While Gils honesty was appreciated that means someone else wasnt!! Randy has been a great salesman to me but this incident has me wondering about the integrity at Jeffrey. I would appreciate your response.

Every time I come to get an oil change or anything, Mr. Gill is always helpful and courtous. The entire staff goes above and beyond. When I did encounter a problem, it was fixed immediately and with much concern, my car was sitting after it was done with the oil change and I was never called for over 2.5 hours. I really appreciated the staff taking care of me so quickly when I brought it to the attention of a salesperson, that morning it was very busy, but I was compensated for the mix up. Things happen and when it was noticed, Mr. Gill took care of it right away. That was the only mishap that has happen and I have Nothing but high praises!!! Keep up the good work.

The salesman that greeted me was pleasant. Ryan was pleasant. The cashier was pleasant. The overall experience was pleasant. I do not have 250 more words to say about this experience.I will comment on the tires. I was very disappointed that I needed snow tires for my 2009 Honda Civic. Cars should come with tires that are equipped to handle all types of weather. This is the first car since the 1970s that need snow tires in order to be driven safely in the winter. Driving in gear 2 does help. But I didn't read this in the manual until after I had had a bad experience.

Staff is ALWAYS friendly every time I come in. They also stick to their word regarding service time: if they say 30 minutes, its almost always right around that time, if its any longer they make sure to communicate that. They also go above and beyond to make sure they satisfy the customer: Little extra things I need fixed on my car, they do without hesitation. Super friendly:)

I purchased two Hondas (Accord and Odyssey) from Jeffrey ten years ago and have had them serviced at Jeffrey all this time.All of most of this time I have worked with Gill Ibarra. He is a fine service rep. Always gives good advice and I trust him. Work is done on time. And when a problem is fixed by the service techs it stays fixed. I have never felt that I have been ripped off on a repair.I would trade these Hondas in and get newer models EXCEPT that they run as well as the day I bought them ten years ago -- thanks to except servicing and repair -- so I can't bring myself to part with them.

I was very pleased with the work performed by the service department.I am not very happy with the front brakes on my 2006 Honda CRV. I have had problems with the front brakes since about 16K miles and it has never gone away. I hope that the new CRVs have a different front braking system. I had all my service on my CRV done at Jeffery and I am please with the service.

Came in for an oil change and fine point inspection. The staff was very nice and informative. Will continue to come here for service. Only complaint was that I brought in a coupon that was mailed to me from Jeffrey stating oil change for $29. I guess the FINE print was that it is only for standard oil change, not synthetic oil. I will still have the oil changes done here but the FINE print should be a little BIGGER and don't send coupons out that won't work with my car.I signed up for email coupons and hope to see them come in but not swamping my inbox.

Tom spoke to Andy over the phone after visiting several other auto dealerships (Ford and Honda) Tom explained the price range which we needed to stay in and Andy said he would call him back. Sure enough, Tom received a call from Andy and it was good news he was able to provide us with lease options that were right in our price range. Andy was honest and upfront right off that bat and that is important. The other dealers did not even call Tom back, including Ford which is the dealer we had our current Fusion lease with which ended of April 29th. We are very pleased with our Honda FIT. Tom has already bragged to family and friends about the great customer service Andy provided us and how Andy was upfront from the beginning. Andy provided us with honest answers to all our questions, he wasnt in it for the "deal" he made us feel like he was "on our side".

I only went in for an oil change, but have had repair work done in the past and have never had any problems. Gil is the best and he always tries to help you out. My only peeve is that there should be a separate service desk for oil changes, or at least I should be able to drive right up to the oil change bay. Because I can make it there only on a Saturday, there is usually only one service desk person working and this time I had to wait 25 minutes behind other repair customers just to tell someone I wanted an oil change. What I can get done in 15 minutes at an independent oil change shop usually turns into an hour and a half commitment at the Honda dealership.The price seems a little steep compared to other oil change places, but I usually am able to use a Honda customer coupon, which helps, and I like the fact that they wash my car.

had recall work preformed, so far as i know it was done correctly. complained about poor mpg as of late (last 12 months aprox) also i don't think my regenerative braking is functioning as it should. I drive for mpg's and this is my second civic hybrid. my hybrid battery is half charged most of the time, it should be 3/4's or more most of the time. mpg's now at 40 to 42, this time of year it should 45 to 46. come warmer weather it should be 51 to 52. as soon as weather gets into the 70's if mpg's don't improve i'll call gil and have one last go at fixing this car.it's been a great car, solid, quiet, smooth, love the cvt trans. i know my car, it's my 9 months of the year ride, and sets in the garage in the winter. I let the EPA take this car for emmision testing and I believe they changed some of the factory settigs to iprove emmisions but f'ed up my milage. so that's my story.john martinek

Gil has been great to work with since I purchased my 2003 Pilot in 2002. The only comment I have is the dealership's customer waiting can use a makeover. While amenities like free wi-fi, TV and coffee are available, the room itself is dingy and the floor is dirty. Staff is great though! You should alert us to log in before the survey, not after!

I did not feel I got the best deal this time compared to my prior purchases. As a long time, loyal, and regular customer of Jeffrey Honda, I would have thought the dealership would have worked with me with pricing a 2011 Odyssey considering there was not much incentive available. The "Really Big Sale" and the Jeffrey Honda's "Green Tag Sale" was not much of a sale at all. From my original quote to the sale quote, there was only a difference of $100. It was not what I expected a sale would be.

I have had no problems since the service and I would recommend Jeffrey Honda to other people. Although Gil was a pleasant Service rep there were many things behind the scenes that were just uncalled for. I was discrimated against for being 20 and owning an S2000. Any problems that occured they immediately pointed the finger at me before even examining the car. Also despite testimony NEVER offered any aid in regards to dealing with American Honda themselves.
