This is a great place to go purchase a vehicle the customer service is incredible Mr. David Bowden and his team Really took care of me, they got my payment where I want to be even pay off my trade in that I was upside down, and never added negative equity to the new loan, while I waited they even bought me lunch , I definitely buy from then again and I highly recommend it, they know how to take care of there local thin blue line community. If you’re like me, whenever you think about purchasing a new car it can be exciting but the actual process is usually like pulling teeth and just overall stressful. That wasn’t the case though with my experience at Jim Hudson Toyota. Greg Joy knew exactly what kind of car I was looking for and he spent several MONTHS trying to find that perfect car for me. He was so patient and kind throughout the whole ordeal. By the time I found one on the lot at Jim Hudson, Greg had moved to another department but recommended Len Wall to help me with the purchase. Len was great, attentive and knowledgeable about the car. He made sure I was fully informed of everything. Every part of my appointment was a great experience. The sign in procedure was designed with my safety in mind. Standing by my car until a technician could place safety materials on the seat and floor of the car. Employees were masked for mine and others safety. My information was taken in a friendly and efficient manner. The waiting area was arranged with comfort and safety in mind. My service was completed earlier than expected, and my car was even given a wash. I loved the video that was sent to me by the technician explaining the work that was completed by him. I would award more stars if possible. Great team and a great place to buy and have your vehicle serviced.

Recently found sales contract in my elderly in-laws estate from 2010. Nate sold them a new Camry LE 4cyl base model for full sticker $. Sad that they would take advantage of elderly customers. Since they had then hooked, then they stuck them with one of those high $ extended warranty packages Even sadder. But that's the auto business for you. Glad I found paper on this, to caution others wherever they car buy.

Scheduling my routine oil change was quick and easy. I was able to schedule same day service when my work day ended. The discount coupon that I received by mail was greatly appreciated and makes me want to continue using Jim Hudson for all my vehicle servce.When my service was complete and I went out to drive my vehicle home I noticed greasy handprints all over the front of my white Tundra. I went back to the service counter and the service rep came out and wiped the grease off and offered apology. Problem resolved without complaint! I just mention it to make you aware to take care of the small details.

Schedule appointment for 3 PM. Arrived and checked in at 2:45 PM. Picked up my car at 4:30 PM. Should not take an hour and 45 minutes to change oil, check fluids and rotate tires with a scheduled appointment.

I noticed my tire light on when I got to interstate on the way to Charleston from Newberry. I pulled into the dealership to ask them to please check it because I was traveling by myself and had a doctor's appointment at MUSC. They took my car quickly, checked the tires and had me in and out in fifteen minutes. I have always had my car serviced at Jim Hudson Toyota and always will! Thank you!

Chris Tudor took good care of us, as always. My issue is with whomever failed to put my glove box back on its hinges correctly when they checked something behind it. I had to come back in the next morning to get it fixed. Thankfully, it was taken care of very quickly right there in the service area.

I could probably gripe about how long it took to fix something, or that wrong parts were ordered causing it to take longer. But, I had a Jeep in a Toyota dealer and they were honest mistakes. That being said, I had a cracked radiator that I brought in for repairs. The wrong radiator showed up and they weren't able to get it fixed until after the weekend. They were genuinely concerned and provided me a rental free of charge for the duration. On the way home from picking it up, I overheated. I took it back and it was the thermostat (not part of what I was getting fixed). They changed the thermostat, not charging me for extra labor, and I was on my way. Bottom line, even though it could have been a bad situation, the service department handled everything very well and I will continue to take my Jeep to Toyota for maintenance.

I have had several Toyotas serviced by this dealer since 2010 and have been a consistent Toyota owner since 2001. I purchased my last car from another Toyota dealer and I let them service the vehicle for two years before bringing it to Jim Hudson. There is just no comparison between the service departments. The quality of service at Jim Hudson Toyota has always been first rate and I never have had a surprise charge at the end of the visit. Interactions with Hudson's service employees have always been positive, particularly with Mike Crocker.

I had my car serviced on 08/17/16 - 15,000 mile maintenance check. As is my preference, I paid for an oil change which I do every 5,000 miles. 08/18/16 the low tire pressure indicator came on prompting a call to have the tires checked. The Service Advisor was Chip Geiger who was polite, courteous, but not very informative when it came time to leave - no explanation of what was found, why it might have happened, etc. Given that the car was serviced two days prior in which tire rotation was performed and tire pressure checked, etc., it seems odd that two days later the tire pressures were low. I realize that "stuff happens", but a low pressure light indicates a significant drop in pressure from the standard. Also, it brings up questions with respect to whether other maintenance was correctly performed. I have no evidence that those checks weren't performed, but at least one obviously wasn't and that was the tires. There has to be a large measure of trust between a dealer who takes your car into an inner sanctum far from sight and the customer who requested the service to be performed. Little minor problems like this create a less than optimal relationship going forward.It also doesn't help when the Service Advisor can't find your car after servicing.

I have had overall favorable experiences in the service department. The last 2-3 times that I took my car in at the 5k post oil change interval, I was not informed that i in fact had up to 10k miles between oil changes. Hmmm..The window sticker or service attendant in the past failed to make it clear. I suggest encouraging the staff to not change oil "too early", or add an updated oil change sticker to the window.I have discussed this with the management and hope it can change for the better. Specifically I thank the new service attendant for questioning why I wanted a synthetic oil change before it was "scheduled".

Bob B was my service writer and he was very professional. His service staff fixed my tire, changed my oil and did a filter check. He recommended replacement next time. I stayed in the service waiting room and read my email. He asked me if I wanted him to run the car through the car wash. Of course I said yes.

made an appointment three days in advance to get a light bulb replaced on passenger fog lamp. got to my appointment and was told there was a 2 1/2 hour wait if I was waiting for the vehicle. I said I have an appointment, same answer. told the guy to walk to the parts counter and get me the bulb and I'd change it myself in 30 seconds or less. sat in the waiting room an hour to get a bulb replaced when I had an appointment. I realize we're in the south but that was ridiculous. need to manage appointments before walk ins. have someone doing the quick fixes all day while other techs do the harder jobs.

What a group of professionals. Had to have our Prius towed from a garage for warranty repairs. We were immediately notified when the vehicle was received by tow truck. What a relief. An appointment had been scheduled on 8/2/16 for the next afternoon. We were kept informed every step of the repair process. I didn't have to baby sit this service dept. like most. We were notified when the repairs were completed and picked up a freshly cleaned and washed and repaired vehicle. They made the repair process so easy for us. That's the way customers should be treated. Thanks for the great service.

We were experiencing issues with the steering on our 2008 Avalon. The folks in the repair shop at Jim Hudson diagnosed our problem as needing a new rack & pinion. This work was done on a very timely basis, drop off Friday afternoon and pickup on Saturday afternoon. Two weeks later we began to hear a strange noise that sounded as if the power steering pump was failing, so we returned to see what the issue was this time. After a quick diagnosis it was determined that the rack & pinion was leaking again. The service advisor let us know that the issue was related to the previous work that had been done; therefore it was completely covered undedr warranty. What a pleasant surprize to see a dealership stand behind their work and replaqce the parts and labor at no additional charges. Great job Jim Hudson!! Thats why we own (2) Toyota's and have the serviced at Jim Hudson.

My service liaison noticed as soon as he walked over to my car, the wrong size tires were on my highlander (unfortunately put on by JH service over a year ago). He had my service and tire change done within the 90 minutes I had available and even credited part of bill since Toyota had originally made the error. It's closer for me to have my car serviced at the west Columbia dealership, but I refuse to leave JH service. Their team has taken great care of my highlander hybrid and I for over 5 years now.

Recently bought a 2016 Tacoma here. Truck has performed very well. This was first service. Everything was great from reception to pickup. Enclosed drop off area is handy for inclement weather. Great waiting room, coffee/cookies and snack bar. Even a movie room showing family movies. Was kept well informed as service progressed (nice to know what's going on while you're waiting), and visit was fairly short. Worked with Jason and another gentleman and all were efficient, knowledgeable and courteous. Very classy place, highly recommend. Mike

Brought my 2015 Camry Hybrid in for 15,000 mile maintenance. Also reported that I kept hearing a loud clicking noise when rear window was lowered and car reached 45 mph. Matt Hancock assured me that it was a difference in air pressure inside the car when one window was down. He even rode with me a few miles. Showed me when both rear windows were down the pressure would equalize and the noise would go away. He was right! Very relieved to find nothing wrong with the car.Also, the Jim Hudson Cafe serves a world-class omelet!

I brought my 12 year old Highlander in on Monday, July 11th. Was in for routine appointment in March, 2016 and told that I needed over $1200 in repairs. Finally saved the funds and brought my car in, and after about 7 hours I was called and told that my issues were not as bad as they thought and they even put in three brake lights that were out that I had no idea of. I also actually saved about $500! That made me happy!! Very professional and courteous guys. Dealt with two great service reps, but only remember one name- Patrick. Also very kind of Jim Hudson to offer me their courtesy shuttle home and then back to their shop to pick up my car. Dave was one of the drivers, again don't remember the other man's name, but both were very kind and friendly.I will always ( and have always) deal with Jim Hudson in Irmo. Never had a bad experience. Thank you all!!

Jim Hudson Toyota does well at working with customers to quickly identify needs and reduce the hassles of buying a car. It's still not quite as quick as CarMax, as there's still a need to deal with managers, the back office, etc. rather than just a quick sale. However, they did their best to expedite these processes. Our salesman Doug was great to work with.

I want to commend Jerry Lankford for helping us when we were in a bind. The wrong part came in for our Rav 4 and we were going to have to wait another day until the part came in. My daughter had to work that day and we would have been a car short. Jerry was very helpful in getting us a loaner at no cost to us. I went in for my regular scheduled maintenance. after pulling into the service center it took about 15 minutes for a representative to assist me. If it had been busy I could understand but 4 reps were having a convo that must hav been more important. The rep I got seemed knowledgeable and was very polite, and like most times I requested to be dropped of at gym while I waited. After 2 and a half hours of waiting no ride was sent to pick me up if though I was told was in route. After calling the dealership I was told they would call back with info on the driver and they never did. I ended up walking back to get my vehicle and nothing was done for my inconvenience.

I went in for an oil change . Savannah brought me back to the bat where my car was located . The tech was concerned about 1 tire's tread that was so low compared to the other 3. I quickly knew that was the tire that had to be replaced in February by another shop because I hit a curb. When I hit the curb I messed up my alignment. The other place didn't even check that. So this oil change turned into a bit more . However , Savannah was so hospitable she got the shuttle to take me to the mall. The 39 minute oil change turned into a 3 hour fixing a tire! Savannah made a tough situation better!

Great Service Department: they are the only folks who have ever put a wrench to my 2012 Prius!! And that is over 65,000 miles!!Last week took it in for service. On time. On price. They ran it through car wash. It still had some "mess" on it. They ran it through again for me then took a spray bottle and rag to thoroughly clean a few spots. After that promise didn't happen, I was told I would have the information first thing Saturday morning. Saturday morning I discover that Jim Hudson had overruled his sales manager, pulled the vehicle from the lot, and given it to his nephew. Absolutely incredible...clearly it's good to be king. If your time is valuable as mine is and you appreciate dealing with honest people who keep their word and serve their customers, I'd suggest thinking twice before dealing with Jim Hudson Toyota...

We have been taking our cars to Toyota for about 8 years. The most important factor is that I trust Mike Crocker. Our cars have always ran well, and I give Toyota Service credit for this. I know it's a business, but I also believe that Mike really cares about us. When my daughter's brake pads were very low, he made a point of expressing his concern. When the cost is more than I can afford at a particular time, he provides me with the information I need to prioritize.The service is excellent; there was only one time (in 8 years) I was not originally satisfied, and they kindly investigated the problem again. The estimates I've been given to get the work done have been accurate. The environment is comfortable, and I often use one of two computers they make available to clients. If I can not stay, they will kindly drive me to work or home and then drop off my car. Oh, and they will wash the outside of your car.Without any hesitation, I recommend taking your car for service at this location and having Mike assist you.

My Highlander's sunroof stopped working in the open position on Friday night. I went to Jim Hudson first thing Saturday morning, there when the doors opened, and explained to them what the problem was. The service department jumped right on it, had the problem fixed and I was out the door in 30 minutes with a working sunroof. They explained to me what had happened with it, that a sensor had went bad, and sent me on my way. Couldn't ask for better service and response to my problem.

Called Jerry Kilgo, our go to guy with all service calls. He scheduled our Saturday appointment accurately and I promptly received the notice. Arrived in time for my appointment and the bays were busy. After a reasonable wait I was pleasantly greeted by an advisor and handed off to Mike Crocker, whom Jerry arranged to handle my appointment. Mike verified all work scheduled. He called me as work was wrapping up and took the time to explain all work performed and even replaced a bad battery under warranty. Rolled in at the appointment time for the 5K service on my wife's '15 Highlander, rolled out 40 minutes later. Always a pleasure dealing with the service department here. Only one time have I had an issue with the service department with my '07 Tundra and they corrected the issue quickly. As long as I own a Toyota I will continue to do my business here. It's nice to be greeted by name when you come in the door.

While waiting there is complimentary coffees, cookies and places to connect to the internet. If you have children there is even a movie with popcorn available. My 2004 Prius had a battery problem. I had an 8:45 appointment for diagnostics and was on my way home by noon with a new battery and a clean car! Fortunately for me it was the smaller battery that had died, so instead of $3000, my bill was only about $300. Sweet! Now I'm ready to go for another 210,000 miles! Love my Prius!

I left my car on a Saturday because a part had to be ordered. Tuesday when they called it was ready I got there to find it still had the problem I took it for originally. They called me back to see what was wrong and it was probably the cause and not the work done first. I paid over $400 the first time and second time over $700. I was charged more for the second job than had been quoted previously for that particular repair. Then I drove it and the check engine light came on and took it back to find that they had not fastened a house properly. I live on social security and this was hard for me. Patrick the man who I usually have help me was off the Tuesday I tried to pick up my car. He is a pleasure to work with and seems very concerned with customers getting excellent service. I feel that the $400 was a cost I didn't need! I was very disappointed, and have used your service many times.

Our daughter went into to get a car due to a life change. She was swayed by salesman who charmed her to do a lease for a car that was not really best for her but for them. They had her sign paperwork but she didn't have funds available yet so kept everything but let her still take car with dealer plates. After actually driving it she found out that the car was not even what she wanted but didn't know what to do and ended up dropping it back off to them. She then was told that she still had to keep the car and there was nothing that could be done and instead of trying to help basically said too bad. Sad to see how young inexperienced adults are treated especially when dealing with other personal events.

I give Jim Hudson Toyota's service center a 5 star rating because they go beyond anything I would have expected in a service center. They provide snacks while I wait, TV to watch, free internet, and if I have an errand that I need to take care of a driver takes me where I need to go and brings me back when I am finished. The staff has always taken great care of my car. On my last visit Chris Tudor, who is very personable, made sure my car was serviced fully and very clean (hand washed) when it was returned to me. I feel pampered at Jim Hudson Toyota and would recommend having your car serviced by them.

In this case, my personal needs necessitated changing my appointment twice. JB was understanding and made it work for me. At arrival at the shop, JB estimated the work would take 1 to 1 1/2 hours. Though I tend to feel dealerships push pricy and unnecessary fixes on you and prefer smaller mechanics to work on my car, Jim Hudson has changed the perspective. They are friendly, informative, fast, and honest. I always feel taken care of and never pressured to spend money on an unnecessary cosmetic fix. I recently brought in my car because of a recall offered on my Camry's dash (the 2007 dashes were becoming sticky and shiny, and Toyota offered a free recall). Hard to pass up free service that makes your car look better! I never leave feeling ripped off or taken advantage of. Always great!

All of the staff are courteous, knowledgeable, and professional. Usually the work is completed in the time frame promised. But on my visit this week, no one came to find out why I was there for nearly 20 minutes after I arrived at my appointment. And instead of the estimated 45 minutes for the work, it took about an hour and 40 minutes. It was a long morning! But I'm thankful for the excellent job they did and appreciate the complimentary carwash. And the next day when I went back to have the rest of it completed after the ordered parts had come in, it was done in a timely fashion.

Everyone is very nice and professional and, if your service associate is busy, someone else will get your paperwork started. Most recently I had to have my car towed to Jim Hudson on a Saturday night because my alternator died. Danny Creamer called me first thing Monday morning to get the process started and called not much later to tell me the problem and the plan for fixing it. During the process I was able to get a ride to work with Carl( who was very friendly), and ,because of my late work schedule, Mr Creamer arranged for my car to be dropped off to me!!I have also worked with Mike Crocker several times in the past and had wonderful experiences.I keep going back to Jim Hudson Toyota because of the great customer service. I arrived early and was taken right away rather than having to wait. Mr. Creamer was extremely nice and helpful throughout the entire time. And I love getting a car wash at the end. The only thing I would mention is that I had pointed out a right read panel that was sticking out and he wrote up for the techs to look at it and put it back in place. But it was sticking out by the time I got home. That may seem like a small thing but it bothers me every time I look at it. There's some other things I will have looked at the next time I'm there.I do like the break room but there was no lunch available for customers, only employees. Not sure why because during my last visit I got one of the best pizzas I ever tasted.So actually I would give 4 stars rather than 5 but there's potential for 5.

I've purchased many cars during my lifetime, but my decision to purchase and lease two vehicles from Jim Hudson Toyota during the past several years has been one of my best decisions so far. I've encountered some minor problems with my new Rav 4, but the problems have been resolved each time under the warranty. The customer service is superb, and the waiting area -- including cafe -- is the best I've ever seen. Danny Creamery is my favorite service manager, because he seems to be a little more determined to solve problems as quickly as possible. Highly recommend buying or leasing a Toyota at Jim Hudson Toyota, especially if you're tired of unreliable vehicles and poor customer service. In fact, I recommend seeing John Rectenwald if you want to buy or lease a vehicle. I dislike high pressure salesmen, and appreciate those -- like John -- who don't expect to sell or lease you a vehicle on your first or even second visit. I also like salesmen who listen and follow-up.

Took my '07 Tundra in for 120,000 mile service. Service Rep (Danny Creamer) explained everything to me that needed to be done to it at this service interval and the cost. Previously lived in a snowy area and when I went to JH for an alignment, it was bad. Initial estimate was close to 3k to replace a corroded steering rack. Chris Tudor and the alignment tech worked some magic to repair rather than replace and got me out for much less. Very pleased and when I replace my Tundra, I will do so at JH.

I live in Massachusetts but I drive to South Carolina a few times per year. I bought a Toyota Sienna van in MA and had my 5,000 and 10,000 mile service appointments at Jim Hudson. The service adviser for my two visits was Danny Creamer and he was exceptionally polite and friendly, and professional I could sense that Danny and other service reps I spoke to were dedicated to great customer service. While I sat in the customer waiting area my phone needed to be charged. I asked one of the representatives if there was a phone charger I could use and within a few minutes the rep found a charger that fit my phone and brought it to me. The service time was short and Danny came into the waiting area to let me know my car was ready. As an added bonus, my car was taken through their car wash after the service. This was great timing because the van was at Folly Beach for a week and it was covered with dry salt residue. Thumbs up for Jim Hudson for their excellent customer service!

I was lucky enough not to buy at the first Toyota store I went to. Steve Arnold, Randy Creech and Nate Ellison went above and beyond what one would expect from car experience. I do not have the best of credit and was surprised at the way they worked for me. They delivered to me exactly what I needed as I am on the road 3,000+ miles a month. They didn't push me towards a used vehicle although they did present the option. I use to sell cars at a new car dealership so I know it's more profitable to put me in a used vehicle. They listened to what I needed and never attempted to push me as was done at other dealerships. They had to work to get my payment where I needed it to be, with an interest rate I could live with. There was absolutely no pressure, didn't make me sit there for hours. They worked a lot harder than I believed anyone would to put me in a brand new Prius. I got the best and most thoughtful salesman, Ted Inman! The dealership did not have the color of car I wanted. He worked hard to find my dream car! There was never any pressure and he answered all my questions and is very knowledgeable. I had a small problem with tires but he helped me with that also. I left a very happy customer. After hearing that I had dropped off my Toyota truck to Jim Hudson Toyota a co-worker informed me that he felt their Service Department was unworthy of his trust. That He had dropped off his vehicle for service including an oil change. When he returned to pick up the vehicle he noticed his bill did not include an oil change. Requesting one again they took the vehicle back out of site for approximately 10 minutes. They then brought the vehicle back to the front informing him that his oil was now changed. He felt strongly that there was no way an oil change could be performed in that amount of time. To which they replied that it had indeed been changed and billed him for the service. He said he would never return there again because of this. With this in mind I returned to the dealership to retrieve my vehicle that was in for scheduled maintenance that was free as part of the sales agreement. My truck keys were dropped it the key box early in the morning and I was told when I called to check on the vehicle that my keys were just found jammed in the top of the Key Drop box and had not been serviced yet. They then added that it would be ready for pick-up that evening without delay. I was contacted later by the service department and informed that a screw had been discovered in my tire and that it was leaking air. And that this was discovered while lifting the vehicle up for servicing. When I delivered the vehicle to the dealership no pressure loss was indicated on any of my tires. And it sat in their lot for over 10 hours with no loss of pressure only to start leaking air when the truck was lifted? And they wanted my permission to repair the tire to which I felt I had no real choice if I wanted to get it back that evening. So I agreed. It cost me 26.00 dollars for the dealership to fix my supposed flat. In other words I purchased a vehicle from them for in excess of 50,000 dollars them only to have them gouged me 26.00 dollars for a flat tire that may or may not have been fictitious. When just down the road Discount Tire offers this service for FREE! To anyone off the street NO CHARGE! Oh but wait I have a service agreement with Toyota and a Life Time Power Train Warranty that requires I return to a dealership for free periodic service for the first 60,000 miles to maintain the warranty. My solution is to not return to this Toyota Dealer in the hope that the others are more trust worthy and perhaps less greedy.

I brought my 2014 Prius V for 30,000 mile service (previously put 65,000 miles on a 2012 Prius V, and 140,000 miles on a 2007 Prius, all serviced here). I have been VERY impressed with Jim Hudson's sales, service and finance dept has been outstanding since my first dealing with them. Service is almost always done within an hour, so I always enjoy waiting and partaking in the cafe. (This time it was a 4:30 appt, so the cafe was not open, to my dismay.) I usually have Mike Crocker, but this time he was not here, so Patrick Meyer took care of me. I had had trouble with the "park assist" feature, and found no one in the service writers knew anything about it. He wrote it up as inop, and came and got me later from the waiting room for the mechanic to walk me through it's use. It works perfectly, I was just using it incorrectly. I am so impressed with Hudson, that my 2007 was towed to another dealership before, and while it was there, I bought a new one from Jim Hudson. I would never set foot in the other Toyota dealership again, because of their poor and unknowledgeable service dept. This is my Toyota home!

On July 11th went in for my first routine service oil change. I was definately impressed with the customer service that i received that morning! I was greeted with a smiling face and given a tour of the facilities that were available while i waited. I had my 11 month old with me and we went right into the movie theatre where she was asbsorbed by RIO2 as i drank my morning coffee and she ate her breakfast sandwich. Visited JHD (like I always do for all of my Toyota's) with an issue of Steering wheel Shuddering with Braking at highway sppeeds. As usual I met Chris Tudor, who quickly got my Camry evaluated to determine that my front rotors had "Warped"... he recommended that all 4 brake pads had almost 70% life left so did not required to be changed (saved me $$$). I was out withinn 2hours and very reasonable charges. I had also got my Highlander serviced the same day... great service as expected from Chris & JHT.

I initially went in to get my truck serviced. Since I was in a lease that was at the top end of my budget I was looking for a way out. Harry stepped up and found a way for me to do just that. As always, a good experience dealing with the service department. Friendly 95% of the time, professional 100% of the time. Work was done as asked in a timely manner (I almost always wait for it). Service Rep took the time to check and provide an answer to a question I had. JH Toyota Service has been doing all the maintenance on my '07 Tundra since purchased from there in April of '07. Currently at 115,000 miles. They will continue to do the maintenance on it as long as I own it. Prices tend to be a little high on some items (like tires) but it is to be expected at a dealership and I have no issue with that. Keep up the good work.Oh yeah, love the waiting area, sssoooo much better then the "spartan" waiting areas at the 2 Chevrolet dealerships I've had to deal with (wife's car).

It was a very long day going from dealer to dealer trying to find a car., I will say all of Jim Hudson's car dealers are very helpful very courteous.... The TV AD says you never forget.. doesn't it...LOL We have been living here in the Midlands for 8 yrs now. This will be our 4th car we are buying from Jim Hudson. They must be doing something right don't you think? We also get a good deal when we buy there. Our sales person was Nick. Great Guy no pressure sales. We told him what we were looking for and he found it for us. If they don't have it at the dealer you are at. They have looked at other Jim Hudson's online to find what we wanted. I don't know if I can say much more about Jim Hudson dealers. Than buy there!

Jerry Kilgo answered all my questions when i called looking for tires and a alignment. I got a better price and warranty than i had found. He knew the Venza and what tire i needed.We had over 74,000 miles on the tires that came on it. He suggested we replace them with the same tires. We had 2 other problems they found and fixed also. I normally do all my own maintenance but occasionally I need professional attention which I have always received from this dealership. In this case the rear hatch of my Highlander wouldn't open because the cargo net got caught in the latch mechanism, jamming it completely. I couldn't see any way to access the latch without doing further damage but suspected if anybody had seen this before and solved it, it would be a Toyota technician. Sure enough the problem was resolved far quicker than I was expecting and for much less expense with no damage to the surrounding panels. The friendly service and well appointed waiting area are make a visit a pleasurable experience.

Idiot light came on for routine maintenance. At 25k just a tire rotation. Called and made an appointment. Number for the JH service was a 866 toll free number listed on their web site which threw me off a bit. Was looking for a local number. When I did get someone it was a direct number and had to be transferred to service. Question; Why have two separate number listing for Sales and Service and have the same number. Anyway, the service person who answered the Phone 5/25/2015 was not real personable. Made me think she was in a call center somewhere, but I confirmed she was local when I made appt. Service was very good and timely. I have tried to schedule online but they just have someone call you back to schedule and its not worth the effort..

On Thursday, May 13, my 2006 Toyota Sequoia went into "limp" mode on my way to work. There was a pending issue that Jim Hudson Toyota had analyzed 7 months ago. It was anticipated that it would eventually need to be repaired but due to the high cost (over $2000) we were waiting as long as possible! I called when I arrived at work and spoke with Chris Tudor. He was great! The particular air intake valve that needed replacement had been on back order over a month. Chris immediately called me back within minutes, that the part had been received the afternoon before and offered to take my car immediately for repair. This was indeed in God's timing! I drove the car to them and they dropped me back at work (15 miles away) repaired my car and sent another driver for me all in about 5 hours. Their shuttle drivers were both courteous and very personable. Chris was so helpful, courteous and he went the extra mile to have my car back to me in time for my granddaughter's class program. I truly appreciate the way he accommodated my needs. Thanks to all for a good experience.

I recently dropped off my Corolla to have the tires replaced, balanced, aligned and got my oil changed. They also completed any and all outstanding recalls. But that isn't the whole story. Chris Tudor personally called me (talk about going beyond the call of duty) to let me get in on a tire deal knowing that our tires were approaching their finals days. Now most dealers would just inform the customer when they came in for a normal oil change that they needed tires and the customer would probably pay the full price/going rate.But that was not the case with Chris Tudor and Gregg Foster gave us a great deal on some Michelins.Finally, Chris made sure that our vehicle was not only ready when we arrived after work, but had parked the car in a "special" spot to avoid any dents or dings from other cars.Sincerely appreciate the great service!Tom Watson

I knew that I had a recall pending and told them that another dealership wouldn't fix the recall until I had an expensive repair completed. The JH staff couldn't believe it, told me that the repair had nothing to do with the recall, and said that they would take care of it. Gotta love these guys.

I cannot tell you how much I appreciate Andrew Dantzler and Chris Tudor. I have been coming to Jim Hudson Toyota since I moved here in 2004. I bought my 2004 Highlander from Jim Hudson in 2008, which now has over 220,000 mi on it. The biggest problem I've had with the Highlander is the A/C. I foolishly took it Toyota Center just under 2 yrs ago to have that fixed--big mistake! I only took it there for a little extra convenience for myself and ended up with A/C problems again in less than 2 yrs with a brand new compressor! And where is Toyota Center now!? I explained the situation to both Chris and Andrew who, not only assured me they would take care of it, but also guaranteed this A/C for life! Not only that, they know I am not a rich person and this is a big ticket item that should not have to be addressed again after such a short time, so they provided me with options and gave me a customer loyalty discount. Every penny counts for me. I will NOT take my vehicle anywhere else again--convenience or not!Another thing I appreciate about Chris and Andrew is that they let me know what to expect and what might be next regarding my vehicle's "health!" This is extremely helpful as I plan and budget!I highly recommend Andrew and Chris, and Jim Hudson!!

Service experience 3/19/15 was exceptional. Everyone was professional and courteous. The mechanic did a great job on the tear down of the engine. His ability was prove the next day. My family and I took a trip to Raleigh. We encountered 3 major accidents. There was constant stop and go for over 3 hours. The 4 Runner took it in stride. It ran perfectly and showed no signs of oil leakage.This is the reason we continue to use Jim Hudson for service since moving here in 2010. A personal thank you to Jim Hudson.

From the time I made my appointment to pulling off the lot I received excellent customer service. I drive a Honda and needed nitrogen in my tires. Jim Hudson is one of the few places that provide this service. I will definitely come back and recommend you do the same!

When I bought my car I had the best experience. I didn't fully expect the great service to last once I had bought it and would be returning for service on the car especially since it was included in the price of the car and I wouldn't be paying out of pocket. The Tire Pressure warning light activated one cold morning, so I took the Highlander to have it looked into. Of course, the light went off 2 minutes before I drove into the service dept. No problem. Mike Crocker had all the tires checked and Nitrogen replenished. All done in a short time. I have never had a 'bad' service experience here. They also have great cookies and friendly staff at the Toyota Cafe.

Everything went fine until after closing the deal. We start to leave and the salesman hands me one key to the truck. I ask him for the other key and the remotes and he tells me that is all they have. He tells me he can get me some at his cost. When I got them and went to pay not only did I not get them at his cost they charged me $20 more than he said it would be. He talked to the General manager and he said he would give me a $120 service credit. I paid $240 for one key and one remote. I told them I did not want a service credit but they would not give me the $120 cash. They should have given me the $120 in cash or written me a check or at least given me the key and remote at cost but instead made money off the deal. I asked them for used ones and never got a response. I should at least been told there was only one key to the truck before closing the deal. This was a terrible way to treat a customer.

When we came to Jim Hudson's to have a headlight replaced, we didn't really expect to find a new car. We looked at some new Camrys, but didn't find exactly what we wanted. The next day Brandon Desplinter e-mailed us a photo of a recertified Camry Hybrid. We really appreciate that he found a car that met our needs. He was knowledgable and informative. He was courteous and spent a lot of time with us. Lee Wilson was very helpful with loan papers, etc. We bought our first Prius from Jim Hudson's almost nine years ago, and the service has always been top notch. The flowers were especially nice. Our 2004 Highlander came in and needed a new transmission and a water pump, luckily we had a 3rd party warranty in place. However, the warranty company did initially balk at the part cost for a factory reman transmission.Mike Crocker worked tirelessly to help us remedy the situation and through his efforts and our own we were able to work out a compromise that suited all parties. Mike also helped us determine some other services that just made sense while the trans was out that cost very little to perform (rear main seal for example).Hopefully Mr. Hudson appreciates as much as I do the hard work of excellent employees such as Mr, Crocker. I would certainly recommend Jim Hudson Toyota for service.

My Wife and I purchased a 2011 Camry in August 2010. At that time we were tricked in to purchasing an extended warranty for $2,000, we were told that at any time prior to the car being paid off we could receive a full refund for the warranty purchased. We have been attempting to contact Jim Hudson Toyota but no one will follow up nor call us back about the matter. This is truly a form of highway trickery and I will never purchase a vehicle from this dealer again. If a dealer lacks honesty and integrity it is not worth my time and money.

It was saturday (11/15/14) morning and I was on the way out of town and my tire pressure light was on. When I arrived I was aproached by Drew Lifrage and I was in a rush but it was very busy but Drew gave me the best customer service anybody could ever receive he listened patiencely and asked if I wanted a car wash after the service was done. He told me how long it would take and to my surprise he was right even through it was busy. It is great to see even when a dealership service department is busy you can still get great customer service at the end he explained why the tire pressure was down in a language I could understand because I told him I dont know anything about putting air in a tire.It great to see a car dealesrship service department doing things like they would want to be treated because most drive your car off and bring back a tragic bill.

Jim Hudson's service is amazing, First, as you drive into the service department it is impressive, yes 3 lanes, with many service people just waiting to help you, it is clean, neat, and efficient. My favorite service person is Mike Crocker, but everyone says "Hello". I know my car will be taken care of and serviced without extra charges. If there are any problems found, they always check with me first before servicing. One time I did need extra work done which took about 3 hours, no problem they have a delicious cafe and comfortable waiting area with a TV. Who would think getting an oil change could be so much fun!

Bought a 2014 avalon touring from there recently. We were approached by Stuart, who is an excellent salesman. Stuart made sure that we were happy and I think he helped me get a fair deal for my trade. Once he found out that my wife would be the primary driver he provided an excellent overview of the vehicle and features for her. I really believe that if he hadn't been so thorough with showing my wife all the features of the car we probably wouldn't have bought the car. As for the car it is a great value for all the features and it looks great. She absolutely loves the car.

The thought that has gone into making having your vehicle serviced is second to none. I made my appointment online, and drove up to the automatic doors that allow me to drop my car off without being in the weather and was greeted by an advisor within seconds. My car was moved while I spoke with the service advisor and was services in less than an hour. The Good news for Toyota is I will replace this Camry with another Camry some day. The bad news for Toyota is my 1996 Camry has over 210,000 miles on it and still runs fine. My son just bought a 2014 Camry as his first new car and loves it. We will see the sales staff in about fifteen years....

I purchase a 2014 Tacoma recently, my second purchasehere in less than 6 months. I had them install the OEM roof racks. a few months later my son noticed water coming in through the rear seatbelts. I called up and was told by the service guy that there is no way it could be the roof rack but to bring it in anyway. They did a leak test and sure enough they forgot to install the correct washers. Had to wait a few days for parts , so in the mean time they parked the truck out in the rain (real smart). I was called the next week and told to come pick it up , I asked if they inspected for mold or any damage under the headliner, the answer was I'm sure they did. I picked up my truck and noticed it was filthy(they didn't wash it as usual). Then when I got home I looked at what was done and it stated that they performed a 19 point inspection. It included Washer Fluid, so I went and opened the hood and guess what?, thats right it was close to empty. So I'm doubtful they performed any of these inspections and probably don't for anyone. So take what you will from this review as before this I trusted them and thought they had a good service department. Now I'm not so sure.

On Saturday morning I sadly went in to trade my beloved 2002 Avalanche. I was driving my son 60 miles a day for school. Stuart Gibbs greeted us and it went uphill from there. Warm, friendly, helpful. I wouldn't be critical except this is the second time I've a sub-optimal experience at Jim Hudson service dept.The first negative was when service was completed, had almost arrived at destination in Camden when a cover for something under the car came half detached & started dragging. Took hours for a tow truck & it to be reattached.This time the oil drain plug wasn't threaded properly or tightened adequately & discovered when there was oil all over my garage floor.Cone on guys! This is your job! Let's do it well, not carelessly!A nail was discovered in my tire & the repair was almost $30- which I found out when I went to pay the bill. Seems a bit excessive to plug a tire but what was I to do?Probably won't go back. Would you?

The market value, after four years, remains at approximately 75% of the price I paid for it!I have continued to drive 60 miles from my home to Jim Hudson Toyota, because of the outstanding facilities, courteous and friendly staff, and professionalism of the service group. I could easily find other Toyota dealerships that are closer to my home, but I have never found one that rated favorably with Jim Hudson, in my opinion.I recommend to any Toyota owner that you find a service department that treats you fairly and professionally, and stick with them.

Been going to Jim Hudson Toyota for many years now for service. Came in to get tires changed and alignment done on my 2005 Tacoma 4x4. After tire replacement and alignment, service technician pointed out that my front wheel bearing was going out on the driver side. Setup appointment to come back the next morning. On the way home tested out the theory. Sure enough, when I turned one way there was a considerable amount of noise coming from the front wheel. When turning the other direction it got real quite. Came in the next morning for a replacement. Truck now drives great and sounds great! I'm glad that Jim Hudson hires such good Auto Mechanics.

When we don't have our paperwork in order (shame on us), the service representatives look up whatever we need and are so nice about it. I was told that it would take approximately one and one half hours to complete the service. It did not take near that long....not even half that time. Everything went smooth. I have no complaints.

I recently traded in my Tacoma for a 2007 Rav 4. It was the most pleasant experience I've ever had at an Auto Dealership. A week or so after I had the Rav 4, I noticed it was idling roughly when I would stop at a red light. It was getting worse by the day. I decided to just drop by Jim Hudson Toyota and see if they could tell me what was wrong. In about 15 min, the service advisor came to get me and tell me they fixed the problem. I didn't owe a thing! I'm very happy with past service I had with my Tacoma also. They are always prompt and courteous! If I buy another car, it will definitely be at Jim Hudson.

Do yourself a favor and give Jim Hudson Toyota a shot, I don't think you will be let down, I sure wasn't. I found my truck online on cars.com and reached out to the dealership via email after 5pm for one of their "hassle free" quotes. I was expecting that I would get a call that I needed to come in or give them my social security number, blood type or something crazy, just to get a "hassle free" quote, but I was surprised to get an email within an hour from Randy Creech with exactly that- a true hassle free quote. Add a star for that one. There was only one picture online and when I requested to see more, I got them emailed to me the next day from Millard Jones and he was very attentive via email. Then I drive down from Greenville to Columbia to check out the truck after work. I arrive and the truck is clean, detailed, and waiting for me. I went on a Tuesday evening and got their around 6. It was a quiet evening at the dealership and it was nice having the place essentially to ourselves but it is such a large and nice dealership, I imagine it would feel like that even at its busiest days. I mean they even have a cafe and movie theater?!?! I was connected with Michael Hart to finalize the sale. I already had my financing in place and I was EXTREMELY grateful that Michael nor the finance guy pressured me to get financing through them. They were very professional and respectful. This has not been the case any other time I have bought a new vehicle from a dealership. Two months after buying my 2006 Toyota Tacoma and I haven't had a problem with it. It is a nice truck. The truck had been inspected at Jim Hudson by their mechanics and for peace of mind, I took it to my local mechanic in Greenville and everything checked out fine. I only received one key and keyless entry fob when I bought the truck. I realize that an older, used vehicle may not come with all of the keys. I was pleasantly surprised to get a phone call a month after purchasing the vehicle to be told that they had found another key for my vehicle and were sending it in the mail to me. Now that is customer service! This may be a long review, but I really can't say enough about this solid car buying experience. Jim Hudson Toyota just earned a customer for life.

While enjoying coffee and cookies, the sales manager approached and said "What if we can send you out in a new Prius V with nothing out of pocket, and make your monthly payments go down?" And that's exactly what he did. Took my 2012 Prius V, which was in for 50,000 mile service (and in bad need of tires), and put me in a new one with same equipment (loaded) and 4 miles on it, just for signing the paperwork. Nothing down, 0% interest, first payment due in 2 months, payment same as it was. Couldn't be more pleased with the service I get at Jim Hudson. This is my third Prius. Put 140,000 miles on the first one. ~200,000 miles total!

My husband and I took our Rav4 to be serviced (part recall). We were aggravated to find out it would take two hours until we were told a shuttle would take us to the mall while we waited. We had some shopping to do anyway! What a suprising service for a car dealership. We were very pleased and it ended up only taking 1.5 hrs...with a complimentary car wash and inspection!

Okay, I took my 2013 4-Runner in for an oil change on Friday (June 27th). When I dropped off the vehicle, the "Exchange Manager" asked me if I like my 4-Runner, and I told him "Yes, I love it"... He then asked me would I want to sell it.. I told him "No"... he then proceeds to say "Would you take a 2014 4-Runner if I could get you into the same payments.. we will just swap keys?"... so, I took the bait and he turned me over to a salesman (I cannot remember his name, he came here from another Toyota store in Tennessee). So, he showed me a new 2014 SR5 4-Runner, that had the heated seats and navigation package... It was nice, so he ran the numbers... Well, he tells me "I can get you the same payments as you have now ($468.39)"... I asked him "How many months"... he tells me "60 months".. I did a 48 month purchase a little over a year ago (I have 35 payments left). His "great deal" would have cost me $11,709.75 more in payments. Moral to the story: If you come up to me (because I am there for service), acting like you really need my vehicle, because you really would love to have it on the used car lot, make me an offer that is truly one I would consider. The reason I purchased my 4-Runner from Jim Hudson is because the salesperson (Seth) did not jerk me around (like others have attempted to do from other dealerships), I really hope Jim Hudson does not start using these types of sales tactics that other Toyota dealerships in the area do. --Christopher Eric Patten

The Army sent me all the way to SC. Of course I would need service. I was able to find a dealer close to my home all the way out in Chapin. Service Department was friendly and I was in and out in 40 minutes. Can't get no better than that. Well maybe...I also stumbled around some hot free cookies. Loved that I was able to use wi-fi and if I needed a meal, a cafe was there. Free water, free smiles, free car wash, and free cookies. Now that's what I'm talking about.

I had purchased a 2012 Toyota Tacoma in Dec 2013 from John and I was in for a service. Which by the way is also a great experience as they have complimentary drinks and snacks along with a place to relax and watch tv. John happened to be in so I went over to say hello and we got into a conversation about the 2014 Tacoma. I instantly wanted one but it had to make sense economically. After John took some time and went to bat for me, I ended up driving away in a brand new one with less payment than I had and less time left on the loan. There was no pressure to buy and everyone who passed by made it a point to say hello and make sure I was being well taken care of. I received my truck and am greatly satisfied with the customer service and work done. the work completed on the truck by accident wasn't finished correctly having to return it to the dealer they felt immediately obligated to repair the vehicle and return the labor and detail my vehicle at no cost to me. Mr. Bob made me feel like a very important customer took me under his wing fixed my vehicle and paid for my rental which by the way was an awesome rental made me almost not want my truck back. I was afraid of returning my vehicle cause like most big businesses they don't care about their customers but I was greatly surprised the managers greeted me and did way more then what was expected and as a military veteran I feel almost as if I wanted to cry when they told me all the stuff they had done and where going to do to show that my business is welcomed and wanted. I brought my RAV4 in to have an on-board computer re-programmed. They were ready for me at the scheduled time and finished the service in less than half an hour. I did not even have time to finish my free coffee. They also washed my car, which I really appreciated. Another Toyota dealer in town does not do this. I have been going to Jim Hudson Toyota since 2007 and have always been treated as a valued customer. Having purchased my first Toyota from Jim Hudson in 2008, I have visited the service department regularly since that time. No one likes to take their car in for service or repair, but my visits here over these years have been uniquely and consistently good. There are many reasons for this including quality automotive products, clean and well maintained facilities, and the many customer amenities that are available, especially, for us service "waiters". However, this dealership appears to have one of the best trained service departments I have ever experienced. Period.When I arrived, Jerry Kilgo wrote up my service request. During the process, he gave a detailed explanation of why I might be experiencing random brake noise with my Prius. He also explained why my car did not need a particular service that I requested and then he "handed me off" to Mike Crocker whom I had requested online to handle my service request. After a reasonable wait, Mike explained what the mechanic had done regarding the brakes (no cost), explained that a recall issue was addressed, told me what the cost of the visit would be, and told me what would be involved with my next factory recommended maintenance. As usual, Mike was very professional, personable, and consultative. I like that.

After spending all of Friday at different dealerships, including other Toyota and Mazda ones, I'm really happy that we ended up over at Jim Hudson, but I'm especially happy I ended up with Steven Arnold. Out of at least ten sales guys and girls, and countless over the phone exchanges, all at other dealerships, Steven was my favorite sales professional of them all. He really was the most pleasant, friendly, and patient to work with. I never felt rushed or pressured. In fact I got to ask all the questions I didn't feel the freedom to ask at Toyota Center the day before. Next time I buy a car again, we'll start off at Jim Hudson, but specifically ask for Steven Arnold. I had stopped by the dealership on Monday March 17th to have my brakes inspected on my 2005 Tacoma. While I was waiting, I walked out front onto the new vehicle lot and was looking at a 2014 Camry XLE. Mr. Pete Green came out and introduced himself to me with a smile and firm handshake. It was raining at the time, but he was not deterred by the inclement weather. He saw my interest and got the keys for the vehicle. He went through it just as if I had special ordered it and had come to take delivery. He answered all my questions and we made an appointment for me to come back with my wife to test drive it on Wednesday the 19th. We were very impressed with the Camry as we have owned three Camrys over the past 19 years with zero complaint! However, walking through the new vehicle lot with Pete back into the dealership we passed a beautiful 2014 Jade Green Highlander Limited. We fell in love with it and had to take a test drive. Again Pete Green answered all our questions and brought the right people together to offer us top dollar for my 05 Tacoma and a no haggle price on this beautiful "Highlander". I had planned on looking at Honda s and VW, but Pete's attention to our enthusiasm over the Highlander sealed the deal. This was my first car I have every purchased by myself and my Dad came along with me to make sure I was getting a great deal. From the time I walked in the door I was treated like I was family. They were professional all the way through. The salesman Jeff inspected the vehicle and took it back to be cleaned because he was not happy when it came up. It looked fine to me but he said it was not to the JIM HUDSON standard. I was as they set an appointment for my running boards to be added and someone called and confirmed my appointment. I was expecting the worse as you always read these horror stories but again they WOWed me all the way through. I was promised the vehicle will be done in 2 hours and it did. I studied in the waiting area and had lunch in their cafe while I was waiting. Not only was it ready as promised, they washed the car again and gave me lunch while I waited. Very good experience. Jason gave me his name several times, explained the service for 105,000 miles and the price. He told me how long it normally takes, indicating the time in 9:50 and the time it will probably be finished--12 to 12:15, and he was right on the money. The waiting area is most pleasant with complimentary water and cookie and space to work on computer. I got quite a bit done being "captured." My car was washed, and I liked being able to pay for it in the service department. I drive from Lake Carolina (where you typically use Dick Dyer) to Jim Hudson (40 min vs. 10 min drive) because I like the service so well. My daughter and son-in-law recommended Jim Hudson because they are good friends of Edgar Alewine, but all expectations are met without even letting him know I am there!

While the overall price for the particular service was a bit steep, in my opinion, the service department did correct an issue related to previous service at their expense. Mr. Kilgo was pleasant and understanding, as is generally the case when I bring my car in for service. Additionally, I appreciate the comfortable waiting area at this service department. I travel a good distance to bring my car to Jim Hudson Toyota's service center, and the waiting area is inviting and allows for customers to work or simply rest while their vehicles are being serviced.

I am a Navy Veteran, and found this dealer through USAA's certified car buying program. They were selling a car I had been searching for for a while, listed at a price below what I was finding in my area. I called Jeff Slaven, and told him I was interested, and would buy the car upon having a third party inspector come view the car in my place since I was across the country. I asked him if they would agree to hold the car if I bought the inspection, and he agreed. As soon as I got off the phone with him I purchased an inspection, and sent him the receipt. The inspection agency, as do most, guaranteed an appointment within 24 hours, and I listed Jeff as their point of contact. The next afternoon (apprx. 12 hours later) I emailed Jeff to see how things were going, and he replied that they sold the car at lunch time, less than 12 hours after they promised to hold it for me. This is a terrible way to do business, and a terrible dealership. I do not recommend any person, especially any veterans do any business here.

this is my second try at this review since first attempt was kicked out - I dealt with Mr. Daniels and first of all I will say he sold the carmore than the car sold itself - I never felt pressured and didn't have to play the "games " that are so often employed by dealerships - just wish dealership had a better variety of model I was looking for - even wish dealership would have rentals so that choices could be better made - although I like my car I do believe I would have traded up had I more time to experience driving and etc

Excellent service - always friendly and informative............would not take my care to be serviced anywhere else. I do have a complaint that is not against Jim Hudson or my service man, Mike Crocker, concerning the light assembly on my car. I have had a running light replaced three times, had the entire light assembly replaced in 2011 under a recall, had to have a light replaced since that time, now I have no bright beams or running lights and was informed by Mike that I need another complete light assembly. I am running only on low beam lights and wondering when that part of the assembly is going to go out. Something is wrong with this pictured that the light assemblies on my car are only lasting approx 3 years - I do not have 2700.00 to have this replaced, nor do I feel I should be required to pay for a replacement when Toyota is aware of the problem and so far has not been taken care of on my car. So I will be taking my complaint to Toyota headquarters - Let me reiterate, I have NO complaints against Jim Hudson Toyota or Mike Crocker - I realize this is something out of their hands, but just wanted to voice this concern. I am very loyal Toyota customer and have been for years, and do not allow anyone but Toyota dealerships do maintenance and repairs on my cars.

He told me the wait time and he was right on! He even offered me beverages and led me to the waiting room, which was very nice. They even washed my car.

Came in for my car's initial 5000 mile check-up. I was met promptly by the service rep. I was told the wait would be about an hour and I was actually out in about 45 minutes. Service/Waiting area was pleasant. No problems whatsoever!

We were on our way to Seabrook Island and needed the initial 10000 mile service on our 2013 Avalon. The service writer was extremely friendly and they got us in and out in one hour which was nice as we were on vacation and did not lose any time. They also washed the car which was great as we had been through the snow and ice event. The dealership was very impressive and in a great location. This experience was one of the reasons we went back to a Toyota. Thanks to the service department! I wish I remembered the service writers name as he was great.

Tire rotation went well, a alignment was recommended because of tire wear. I agreed and had it done. Took the car back it noticed it pulling to the left when it had not been doing so before. Called and was told to bring it back in. This is a 100 mile round trip drive for me, so you have to consider that gas usage goes way up for a second visit. Was told that something was "knocked lose on the steering wheel" whatever that means, it was never explained clearly to me, but evidently it was fixed. Seems like they should have taken it out on the freeway themselves and test drove it before giving it back to me.I purchased this car here new and have taken it here for every one of it's service appointments. Last fall I was cleaning some leaves out from the hood vents and noticed a large build up on the battery of corrosion. I would have thought that during one of the service visits that would have been noticed and cleaned off. It was thick. Was disappointed in finding that.

I have been using Jim Hudson Toyota for my service needs on my 2007 Lexus ES 350 essentially since my car was new. It now has 166,000 miles. I have never been pressured to buy anything before it was needed. The asst service managers are always attentive and accommodating. I appreciate the fact that they personally come to you to report the progress of your car and or when it is ready. We appreciate the car wash. The waiting room with coffee and cookies are a great place to wait while your car is serviced. I usually time my service near lunch time as I enjoy the friendliness of the cafe staff and the very good food. The coupons and service rewards are helpful. On those few occasions where I have an issue, Andrew Dantzler has ably and congenially resolved the issue.I drive 45 miles to get to Irmo and I drive past the other Toyota dealership on my way to your dealership, although I have tried them. They don't compare in environment, friendliness, or accommodations. I hesitate to mention this but my wife complains about how cumbersome and time consuming it is to buy something in the small shop adjacent to the waiting room. First you have to get someone next door to find a person to help you. Then they have to find your name in the computer and enter a bunch of data and then they have to go back somewhere to make change. She enjoys buying the greeting cards. That is our only complaint and it won' t affect our use of the service dept.

Jim Hudson Toyota has always been excellent in their Service Department with J.B. Storey and Mike Crocker. My husband and I moved from another Toyota dealership to Jim Hudson because of these employees and the trust level which was already established over years of car service. we have never been disappointed with our service and continue to feel well taken care of. The Jim Hudson Cafe has been a wonderful addition to the warm and friendly atmosphere of the dealership where adults and children are cared for during their 30 minute wait for car service with offerings of free coffee and freshly baked cookies. Throughout the day the Cafe offers home-cooked delicious breakfast omelets and croissants, gourmet sandwiches, salads and pizza choices. Actually, my husband and I have even been known to meet here for lunch while out in this area - it is delicious and quick. In addition, wide screen TV and Wi-Fi connection available and age appropriate movies for children are offered. What a pleasant place to spend the time it takes to keep our Toyota up and running for thousands of miles.

I love Jim Hudson Toyota. I drive from Atlanta to have my Highlander serviced at Jim Hudson. I bought the Highlander from Jim Hudson Toyota and that was also an awesome experience. Prior to this purchase, I brought my Toyota Solara to them for all service needs and they kept it in tip-top shape. I have never had a bad experience at this service center. Always fast and courteous. I do visit relatives when I am in Columbia but have been known to drive to Jim Hudson Toyota to get my brakes worked on even when I wasn't visiting!

The car was purchased from here but I used to take it to Dick Dyer on Killian to be serviced. Don't EVER take your scion/Toyota/etc there!!! The service here at Jim Hudson was super fast. I was literally taken aback by how fast these guys worked! I am a cheerleader for this dealership and my brother as well (he purchased his wife's Toyota Avalon from here). Jeff was the easiest person to work with. We had started with another dealership, and I quickly got frustrated and was left with a bad taste for buying a new )our first) vehicle. I had a guy feeling this was a good guy and he would be good to work with. My husband took the vehicle we wanted to trade in and drove out there to meet with Jeff. Next thing I know, I'm getting a call to come out and pick what color I wanted :-). VERY good experience, and he helped us narrow down our 3 choices and got it down to our price range. I'm day 3 out with my 2013 Rav 4 XLE and couldn't be happier. He even told me to come back out if I needed helping with figuring out all the new features and settings. I hate, hate, hate going to car dealers and buying cars. I HATE IT!!! Well, that was until a few weeks ago. Mr. Swindler (love his last name and he sells cars) was absolutely fantastic. I didn't really know what I wanted a Corolla, Camry, or a Rav4. We looked at them all. He answered all my questions and helped me find what I truly wanted and was looking for. I am not satisfied with the experience I had. This past week. i had visited Jim Hudson Toyota in Irmo SC. where i was greeted by a salesman Andrew.After test drive we negotiated on price with the manager Todd and the price we agreed on was $ 31995 out the door.It was 2014 Toyota 4runner SR5 with leather interior, foot rail and roof rack and 3rd row seatingI was harassed everyday over a week by the sales rep. to come back and they would honor the price. When i finally went to buy the car, Todd was no where to be found and the sales rep. was accompanied by a different person [ Chris- General Sales Manager ]. Chris raised the price of the vehicle to $ 33963.20, and when i asked for Todd he said he is busy in the meeting. Chris told me neither they can match the price nor they can do anything for me.All this time they told me other dealership lies about the prices to get customers in but at Jim Hudson Toyota they do the same thing tell customer one thing and when you go and buy it a different prices and the person who quoted the price earlier will not even come forward to help the customer.i was harassed to come back to the dealership and on return it was nothing but a time waste ordeal with no result.i would not suggest any friends or family to go and buy from Jim Hudson Toyota at Irmo SC. The first buying experience with Steven Chandler at Jim Hudson Toyota 4 years ago was awesome! I bought a brand new Toyota Tundra in 1 hour 30 minutes! However, this past visit was awful!! I was lied to on several occasions and promised one thing but didn't receive what was promised. There were several employees that didn't know what they were talking about or doing their job correctly. There were too many hands in the pot trying to do their job but not knowing the correct information to relay to the customer. Andrew Strustman was a new sales associate and he was great! He was very friendly and helpful and when he didn't know something he went to ask his boss/manager. The cafe ladies were super nice! However, management has a lot to be desired at Jim Hudson Toyota. Jim Hudson himself and owner has yet to call me back regarding the worst customer service I have received. I was told to go somewhere else to do business and that some days some customers get good deals and other customers don't get good deals. I would never recommend this dealership to anyone. Jim Hudson Toyota has screwed another customer.

my husband and I found the vehicle on auto traders and I called and spoke to Doug Morrison we told him what we were interested in. We went over and Doug had the car parked aside for us GMC Envoy. Oh My Goodness. Where do I begin. First of all when I made the decision to purchase a new car everyone told me to get a Toyota because it would last me the rest of my days. I was told it was the best of the best. I already new the color I wanted so that was not an issue. I knew I finally wanted a larger car like an SUV. When I walked onto the lot I immediately saw the car of my dreams. It was a white Highlander. When my salesman came to ask if he could help me I told him I wanted to ride in that SUV. He got the keys and off we go. He was driving and I was amazed at how smooth the car ran. My salesman was Mr. Melvin Everson and he was the most polite and friendly person I have dealt with in quite awhile. You see, I lost my husband in January so here I go in all alone thinking that I would be taken advantage of because I was a female and alone. I had heard so many stories about this and was told that I should take a man with me. I was some sort of offended by that because I felt comfortable with the fact that I had a little bit of knowledge and I thought I could tell if I felt I was being taken advantage of. With Mr. Melvin I knew right away that was not going to happen. I told him to let me go home and think on it because I have not had a car payment in so long and I wanted to make sure I knew what I was doing. The next day I knew right away that that was the car for me so i headed back to the dealership and asked for Mr. Melvin. He got the keys and this time I drove the car. HOOKED I was. He said "Let's go talk shop". I told him how much I felt I could pay each month and he worked with me to make that happen. I was so excited. When we closed the deal he sent the car back to be cleaned up and gassed up (which was a blessing) and while that was being done he went out and bought me a beautiful arrangement of flowers. Now we are talking A+ service.. The finance man took a picture of me with my new car and my flowers. Mr Melvin called me for several days to make sure all was OK and even sent me a card to tell me how much he enjoyed working with me and said "You should have seen the look on your face when I gave you the flowers" I can only imagine as I NEVER expected that to happen. I cannot begin to tell you how much I enjoyed working with him and he is one super salesman and person. Very professional and kind. I think God put him with me because we developed a friendship out of all this and I feel very comfortable that if I need anything all I have to do is give him a call. My compliments to your company for having such a wonderful person like him working for you. He is the greatest of the greatest and surely an asset to your company. Dear Mr. Hudson: I am a Christian, single parent, employed at Columbia International University. I am also a loyal customer of yours and have purchased my last three vehicles from two different dealerships of yours since 1998; Jim Hudson Mitsubishi on Greystone, Cola, SC and Jim Hudson Toyota, Irmo, SC. Having gone through regular business channels to no avail, I am contacting you directly to make you aware of experiences I have had obtaining, driving, owning these 3 cars (2 new, one used) from your dealerships. On my first purchase, the Mitsubishi Mirage, I was recommended to buy this by a fellow church member from your dealership. Immediately following my purchase, another fellow church member came to your dealership at my recommendation, and also purchased a Mitsubishi Mirage from the same dealership, as well. Because I did not have an extended warranty on this Mirage, when the odometer was at 50k miles the Mitsubishi service department stated there were repairs needed costing as little as 1,200.00, which I could not afford to pay, so I then traded a car that was yet to be paid for in full and purchased the 2nd vehicle, a used Mitsubishi Galant at 21k miles. Prior to paying this off the paint on the Galant had totally oxidized and also had mechanical problems which I could also not afford to fix, so I then traded this and purchased a 2008 automatic Scion xD in 2007 at Jim Hudson Toyota in Irmo, SC. Due to my experiences with the previous two Mitsubishi vehicles bought (dealership which no longer exists on Greystone Blvd.), I thought it was a good idea to buy a 100k mile extended warranty at Nate, finance manager's assurance and recommendation this would cover all my repair expenses should there be any. I purchased your Premium extended warranty through Fidelity when buying the new Scion xD sold by Nate, the finance manager and financed my car through Toyota. I was informed in writing this extended warranty covered my Scion xD bumper to bumper. They added the cost of the warranty to the cost of the vehicle and taxes which I have paid for with interest on a 6 year note as I could not afford otherwise. The Scion will not be paid off until August 2013. Nate stated to myself and a witness that "you will not have to pay for anything but gas, car payment, and insurance to 100k miles." I purchased this Fidelity warranty specifically for any problems that may arise, and that I would not be able to cover in a lump sum. Since October of 2007, I have had more problems with this vehicle than any other I have ever owned in my life, and more specifically now a problem with my transmission since 32,000 miles and as of yesterday found a lifter on the engine needs repair, replacement. I have maintained regular maintenance on my vehicle since the time of purchase to date and all service has been done through the Jim Hudson Toyota dealership where I purchased the car. Noticed damaged done to the vehicle on the hatch where, paint had been removed during shipping to the metal, which after talking with salesman, and Keith Hudson, Toyota agreed to fix this. At 5,000 miles after bringing my Scion in for it's first oil change, my automatic Scion Xd rolled backwards while in drive on hills and has done so ever since. I have also driven multiple automatic 2008 Scion Xd which I was given as a replacement vehicle when bringing my car in for repairs and none of them roll backwards in drive while on hills. I reported this to Toyota dealership from the beginning and they denied that there was a problem and never repaired this issue. They did have to replace the water pump which I believe contributes to the defective transmission. I have attempted continually to get Toyota service department to fix my transmission issue, but was continually told to come in they'd fix it only to find they did nothing. At 32,000 miles a mechanic rode with me and stated he could tell there was a shift problem, but this was not fixed then or thereafter. They encouraged me to watch it and see if it got worse assuring me the warranties manufacturer's and Fidelity Premium would cover me. Was stated to me over the course that I could change, or flush the transmission fluid at my expense too. However, this is not part of regular maintenance, nor required, or will not fix a bad clutch which appears to be the issue. The average life span of a transmission is considered to be 500k miles and know the fluids are not to be changed regularly as the oil is. Flushing the transmission can cause permanent damage to this machinery especially if done incorrectly. I did not elect to change this, but through the processes of working through this situation found my transmission fluid went from black with clutch material in it to a more pink color leading me to believe fluid was changed while it was at the dealership for evaluation and without my consent to do so. All in all the fluid is black again, and there is a definite problem with the transmission that should have been repaired by my warranties. Edgar Alowine rode with my son and I at 90k and saw the car did not shift from 3rd to 4th until 80 mph. Two separate Toyotas mechanics on separate occasions prior rode in my car over the years of my addressing this, and noted the problem with the late shifting, slipping and saw the fluid was dark with clutch material in fluid, but always ended up that Toyota, or Fidelity have been unwilling to uphold either manufacturers, or extended warranty I was sold at purchase. It was stated to me on one occasion in order for Fidelity to fix the problem they would have to have a Fidelity adjuster look at the car which I drove and left at the dealership once again, and then stated the adjuster did not find the same issue that at least 6 others have already witnessed. In complete frustration, which I have experienced on almost every single occasion at your service center regarding the lack of service provided through warranty coverage(s) for mechanical issues I was assured would be covered, I took my car to an independent transmission business who noted clutch material is in the transmission fluid and the smell of the fluid is bad, and who also wrote a letter stating this, and which Toyota service department has on file. This independent transmission business did no work on my Scion Xd.Edgar Alowine, Toyota Service Manager stated to me that replacing the fluid, flushing it would not fix the problem with the transmission and would only flush the transmission to appease me. I then requested the transmission to be replaced as it should be, but has not been done.On the other end of the spectrum I could see coming to your dealership and trading, buying multiple vehicles because of the high quality I know you want to sell to your patrons. However, you need to know, this has not been my experience with your company. I do not want to share anything but the best regarding your company, but unless this is remedied correctly, do not believe I will be able to do so, nor will I be able to purchase any more vehicles from your dealerships.I was assured this is your personal email address and that you read all your emails.Please contact me as soon as possible.Sincerely, Wendy Mcdonald139 Seafarer LaneColumbia, SC 29212(803)661-0220(803-220-9692I want this to be read by Jim Hudson. To be honest i did not think the numbers would work with my trade in for the 2012 Tundra Limited, but Doug made it happen, and i really feel i would not have got the same deal from another dealer. Really a bad place. There customer service was bad. Already had a check for the car i wanted so there was no need to pull my credit. but they did anyways tying to get me to finance through them. so no failed again just took my business to a better more honest dealer. Come to find out this is not the first time stuff like this has happen.

My visit to Jim Hudson Toyota was a very unpleasant experience from start to finish. I won't lie; the quality of vehicles is pretty good and the appeal of the dealership is really nice but the Customer Service lacked some serious professionalism and integrity. I first walked in and expected someone to greet me, from the sales representative on his cell phone making an obvious personal phone call to the man dozing off at his work station and got nothing. After waiting for about 15-20 minutes someone finally came and assisted me. The vehicle viewing and test drive went very well; it started to go bad again when we began talking about financial matters. I was already approved for loan through a highly reputable third party bank. The staff told me that they would not be able to take the check because if was out of state, I verified with the third party Bank and was told that was an untrue statement made by the dealership. The finance department was so adamant about running my credit so that I would have to get a loan from their bank at an outrageous interest rate and high monthly payments. The Finance Director came to talk to me after I had spoken to my third party bank on phone and said that they would be able to take the check with a down payment. It was just a horrible full of lies visit. I do not recommend this dealer to anyone trying to purchase a vehicle, as this dealership is doing nothing more than trying to make noticeable profit off of the consumer.

Excellent service from start to finish. We looked at 3 different dealerships in Columbia area and Jim Hudson's was the best experience by far. All the employees are friendly and helpful. I never felt pushed, hasseled or rushed. They made me a very fair offer on my trade in and when I asked for some minor cosmetic issues to be repaired on the used vehicle they were selling me didn't bat an eyelash. I didn't have to do some song and dance negotiating. Furthermore I had my toddler with me the entire time and between the playroom, the I house theater showing Lion King, Madagascar etc and the free popcorn and cookies she didn't want to leave. It's a 5 star organization. John R in sales is thorough, professional and extremely considerate of my time. We love our car and look forward to more business with Jim Hudson.

I would recommend this dealership because the customer service was outstanding. Every employee that passed my boyfriend and I, while we were waiting on a particular salesperson,asked if there was anything that they could do. Even had one employee asked if we needed anything to drink like 3 times. Always kept checking on us. The dealership is very nice and welcoming. My boyfriend is thinking of getting him a car in the near future and was very impressed that he is considering coming back to Jim Hudson Toyota.

I drove cars from four different car manufacturers and Mr. Fernandez stood head and shoulders above other men in the business. I truly regretted that I couldn't buy my Impala from him! I just bought another Toyota truck from this dealership. This is the 2nd time I used Jim Hudson Toyota. And after dealing with Jim Malivuk the first time, I insisted on using him this time as well. Jim is always helpful and painfully honest. You're never in the "right" situation to trade a vehicle, but Jim makes it as painless as possible. He's a great guy, and one that I thing represents the dealership well. He's super cool, and wa able to get me into the vehicle I wanted back to back times - no matter how I looked on my end. Great dealership, great salesman - perfect product. I seriously doubt I'll ever own anything other than a Toyota!

After months of searching for just the right toyota highlander, I finally found the right one for my family. Since I live in North Georgia and had a 3 hour drive ahead of me, I wanted to be certain before making this drive. Butch immediately reponded to my internet reply and was very pleasant to work with. I didn't feel pressured in any way and we did business on my terms. Butch went above and beyond to answer all of my questions concerning this highlander and we even worked out pricing in advance which made my experience much more enjoyable. I was looking for a new car and met Jason Goss at Jim Hudson Toyota. He listened to what I was interested in seeing and soon had several options to test drive. Once I decided on the car I wanted, Jason and I discussed options. I thought about it for 3 days and he was patient with me, but kept in touch. Todd Williamson was by far the best dealer my family has ever done business with. He was patient and extremely helpful, answering all of our questions thoroughly and constantly making sure we were always taken care of. After visiting several other dealerships, I know just how good Jim Hudson Toyota and Scott are. I know every used vehicle they have is top-notch and completely serviced, not just "inspected." Sometimes I think their prices seem a bit high, but it is true you get what you pay for. If you think I'm kidding, look at how many brand new tires you see on the used cars in the lot.Scott is a great salesperson, friendly but straightforward, and a great person to work with. Sure he sold me a new car, but has shown me countless others. He listens to what I want and goes out of his way to make it happen. He always follows up too. There is a reason I come here first whenever I start to think about getting a new vehicle.

One nice feature is the covered marquee surrounding the showroom floor, you can view your prospective vehicle purchase sheltered from the elements!Our salesman provided us with good service, and he appeared unpretentious and honest. By far, the best car buying experience I've ever had. Having personal experience in the car sales business, I expected and tried to counter the typical tricks of the trade. This morning I took my 2009 Highlander into Jim Hudson Toyota for normal maintenance. I had been thinking of trading my Highlander in for a Sienna van, becasue, due to my age, the van would be much easier to get in and out of. So, while I was there, I decided to see if my saleman, Wes Keller was in to ask him about it. I did and he was! The dealership had just received a 2011 Sienna in and he was able to workk up a deal that I did not feel I could refuse!! Between Wes, Kurley and Ethan, they all went above and beyond, making sure all was done to help me outas much as possible. Also, as stated above, I have dealt with Wes and Dave in the past and Mr. Hudson is to be commended for the super force he has working for him. Every time I have taken either of our cars to Jim Hudson, I have been received by friendly staff. The waiting area is very nice. They have a small cafe, a kids area, a family movie room, 2 computers with internet access available, all of which make waiting around on your car much more pleasant. Mike Crocker in particular has always been very friendly and quite helpful, but all the staff I have encountered have been great. They also have a shuttle to provide transportation (ie, take me to the gym down the street while my car is being serviced). I highly recommend this dealership !

When I was there last, I had new wipers installed, due to hard-rubber-chatter from the original ones. The new wipers had the same annoying chatter due to the rubber not being soft enough. This time, when I was having the 45K mile service, I asked to have them replaced again, and it was done with no charge.Today's service was somewhat extensive, due to tire rotation, cabin air filter change, etc., on top of the oil/filter/fluids change. But the work was finished nearly 30 minutes before the estimated time. I especially like the fact that this dealership runs each car (if requested) through the automatic car wash when it's finished in the service area. It was especially needed today. A modern, comfortable store, with all the comforts one could expect, and more. Very courteous people, and conscientious about their work. I drive 60 miles, much farther than I need to, to get my car serviced, just so I can come to Jim Hudson Toyota in Irmo, SC.

I had an appointment at 10:45 for the first oil change on a brand new car. I was told, when I made the appointment, that it should take about 30 minutes for the service. I arrived at 10:20, my vehicle wasn't ready until 12:50; meanwhile 5 people that got there after me had come and gone. I was then told that there were 76 appointments ahead of me. I find it extremely hard to believe that they had that many appointments, if so I think they are severely over booking. The employees were friendly, but they were either misinformed or out right lying to me.

I too had an experience with Jim Hudson as the previous reviewer. They do allow you to browse without pouncing on you first thing. I looked at the inventory for approximately 15 minutes and was not bothered. It was only when I began to look for a salesman that one appeared. By that time I had gathered my thoughts and knew which vehicles I wanted to see. No high pressure sales pitches here. No outrageous promises, or a lot of stall tactics here, just honest information and negotiation. Although we did not come together on terms it was not for lack of effort on thier part.
