Worst experience i have ever had! Do not buy a car from this dealership! They play all of the typical sleazy car salesman games. This dealership exemplifies your typical car salesman. Example..."cannot find the vehicle you want to test drive, some one else is here to buy this vehicle right now .."Does not honor its promises! $30,000 plus vehicle does not come with car mats.

Traded in a 2017 Kia Rondo on the new car. Trade in amount was reasonable. Lisa our representative was knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. Was able to get the exact car with options from another dealer just down the road. Car was detailed very well even though it was shown in the rain. Really like the 2017 Kia Sportage.

I am a stay at home dad of two young special needs children. Making a trip anywhere, let alone to a car dealership, can be an adventure to say the least. In getting the know the Shorkey dealership "family" (and that is exactly how they treat you but better), over the past several years, I couldn't feel more appreciative. Everyone involved in the process goes way above and beyond, including the owner himself, Jim Shorkey III. The deals are exceptionally fair. The service is quick and nothing but accommodating. Most importantly, the patience and care that is shown to my little boys is just something that can't be taught; it's a culture of class from the owners right on through. All I can say is that if you purchased a Kia within a month after me and my little guys were at the dealership, I promise there is a set or two or three of their fingerprints within your car. We went through every vehicle many many times with smiles all around!

The worst feeling is driving away with your new car and wondering if you made a good decision. Did I over pay? Is this the vehicle that I really wanted? Did I give in to the pressure from the pushy salesman? My experience at Jim Shorkey Kia was the opposite of all of this. I never felt any pressure from a pushy salesman, I wasn't talked into getting something else. I paid a very fair price. A special shout out goes to Jason Atwood. He was so very helpful in helping to set me up with my dream car (Jeep Wrangler). He was extremely professional and a pleasure to do business with. I had my Jeep Compass 2011 inspected on 8/10/2016.It cost approximately $390 for front brakes, rotors. Oil change and tire rotation plus inspection.Then I was given recommendations. Change engine air filter - Approximately $35 dollars Change Cabin filter. - approximately $72 dollars The best one yet was change spark plugs $142 dollars My husband bought spark plugs for $8 dollars The two filters we bought were inexpensive also at an Auto discount centre. Whew we just saved ourselves approximately $250 dollars by doing it ourselves. Inserting the filters and changing the spark plugs was a very simple job to do.

Well were to start. Went to the dealer to look at a used car with only 4k miles and ended up getting a new Forte. The buying experience was fantastic. John O'Brien went above and beyond as well as other staff members to get us in this car. My wife and I were treated like family and was treated to food and drink as if we were at home. John O'Brien even bought us the new heavy floor mats for our car and deserves a medal or a pay raise for what he did for us and that little gesture made us a life time costumer for life. Jim Shorkey has built a model dealership for the future and I recommend people looking to buy a car to at least try them and see first hand the friendly family service you get and I bet you won't go any where else. I could probable write a lot more but will stop here. You have to visit Jim Shorkey even if just for the Shorkey experience They are s 10 in my bookWill buy from them for life.

I only wrote a review one other time & it was a complaint, but not this time. First off, I walked into Jim Shorkey Kia & was greeted the receptionist, a lot attendant named Country, and a couple of others that were not salesmen which surprised me because of my last car purchase with Honda where only the salesmen would speak to customers & the service was a nightmare!!! Never in my life buying a Honda again!!! Anyway, a friend recommended that I see Joe Prizner who I assumed from past experience, was probably just a "shark" who wanted to make a sale. But to my surprise that wasn't the case at all. He was very down to earth, easy going, very likable & it didn't take long for me to relax & let my guard down. He had the attitude that he was going to jump through hoops, really go the distance to do all he could do, inform me of all my options. He was very patient & didn't rush me either. So after it was all said & done, he worked a deal that even exceeded any expectations he had & I walked out comfortably with a new car. If I buy another car in the future, this will be the place I go & he will definitely be who I ask for. So if your thinking of buying a car, this is the place to go & Joe Prizner is the man you wanna ask for! Great experience!!!

When we started to get more than we wanted repairs we decided to get a new car. We decided on a 2016 Kia Sportage. We decided on Jim Shorkeys after hearing the commercials on radio. I am glad we did. From the first phone call it seems that the staff went out of their way to accommodate us. They went into details on the benefits of leasing vice purchasing the vehicle. They took the time to explain every detail and even told us how to make our payments affordable. Once we got their we learned that the salespersons were NOT on commission. I have never heard about this before. Now I understand why our sales team was so helpful. We started out with Eric Carroll. Unfortunately when we arrived (about a half hour late due to traffic) Eric was working with another customer. He made arrangements for Ryan McGuinness to assist us. This ended up great for us, because shortly after we got there Eric was free and we had both of them helping us. It was extremely refreshing to watch the two of them, and later assisted by Adam, working TOGETHER as a well oiled machine to give us the best of all possible service. We got the trade that we hoped for, and a great deal. The best part of the whole deal was how our faith was renewed in this seldom thanked profession, by a Team of highly professionals. We are very happy with the whole experience at Jim Shorkeys Kia.

I called Jim Shorkey KIA in Irwin, PA, and spoke with the manager, Adam, who set me up with Eric. They did everything to ensure that I got into a new vehicle, and even had the used one towed to their dealership from the previous one that I purchased from. I can't say thank you to them and to God enough for working through them to get me an amazing car an at affordable price. Had a great experience buying my first vehicle ever at Jim Schorkey Kia! Tom Merikas and Tim Hoffman made buying a vehicle easy. They were helpful and patient with all my questions. And were honest with me as well. The customer service with all the employees was amazing! My mother and I were made sure we were comfortable throughout the whole process; being asked if we wanted coffee, water, cookies, etc. Even after we were waited on and sitting at Tim's desk we had employees coming up just to say hello and see if we needed anything. We returned to jim shorkey this week after purchasing a vehicle there for my husband about 18 months ago. I went to look at a 2010 Silverado as it appeared to be what I was looking for. After driving an hour and meeting with Kevin, he brought the truck out and much to my disappointment, it had a long bed which I did not want. I still took it for a test drive but I decided it was still too big for me. He has been in contact with me and I let him know what I was looking for and he said he's still looking but hasn't found anything yet. If I don't find one now, I will look again in the spring as I don't have to have a different truck right now and will check in with Kevin before looking elsewhere as he was very understanding and didn't try to push a different vehicle on me that I did not want.

On July 29,2015 my sisters and I were out shopping for cars,trying to see what I may want later. We were driving past Jim Shorkey Kia on rt 30 and went in to look. We parked and were looking at cars when a salesmen named Hector Olave approached us to see if he could heip us. The rest is history, I purchased a car which was right for me. Hector was one of the nicest salesperson I have ever dealt with (this is my 7th car) he was very pleasant, not pushy or overbearing, very patience with me and my sisters, we are the over the hill gang. I had a good experience with all the people i had contact with, not to forget the good cookies and coffee we ate and drank. I would recommend Jim Shorkey Kia to my friends.

Brought my Jeep in because it's was not starting occasionally, they said nothing was wrong with it. Told them I had a noise coming from my tire.. Replaced parts I didn't need . Left dealership with same noise. If they test drove it they would of seen it wasn't fixed. Took it to my mechanic and said parts put in were defective. Now I'm back a week later to have it corrected and same run around. Worse place I ever dealt with.

I have to admit, I was a very nervous first time car buyer. My previous car was purchased by my father and I didn't have to worry about the car buying process until my old car blew up. I walked into Jim Shorkey Kia expecting to have to haggle my life away for hours on end...not the case at all. My sales rep was Tom Merikas and he was wonderful to deal with. Any questions or concerns I had, he was willing to listen and to let me test drive multiple cars. He listened to my needs as a consumer, went over every feature, and even set my phone to my car via Bluetooth for me. The staff was so patient and kind during the entire process and didn't haggle me at all. After, I drove off the lot, I expected not to hear from the dealer as was my experience with my previous dealership. Again, not the case. Tom has followed up with me a few times since my purchase. I really like how accessible Jim Shorkey's staff is and how willing they are to help. Needless to say, I'm so VERY pleased with my purchase that I've been telling all my friends and family to stop in to Jim Shorkey auto group. Trust me, I'm Italian, there's a lot of us to tell :).

Tim Hoffman did a great job. He actually listened to us when we told him what we wanted as options, price, no extra items added on after he gave us the payment information other then adding the extra 5 years of Maintenance. We did change to 72 months because of adding the feature but we felt we received exactly what we asked for. We took care of everything and went home with our new Titanium Kia Soul. We will let you know how the service goes once we need an oil change. Tim listened to problems we had previously at a different dealership and addressed every issue without saying anything negative about the other dealer.

On April 15 I stopped in because my tire pressure light was on and I was leaving on a trip the next day...... Two tires terrible and 2 not so good. Was to have car inspected by end of month. They were able to do the inspection that night, got 4 new tires and was on my way..Justin Mueseler took care of me and my problems. The next morning when we left our house.....flat tire! Called to find out what to do....asked for Justin. He told me to get it there and he would take care of me. He did! After trying to find out the problem multiple times, they gave me a new tire. I was there for a few hours and not charged a penny! Justin was very professional and courteous both days. I appreciate how I was treated both days and his concern for my delayed trip. We made it......a little late, but safe. Thank you Justin and Jim Shorkey for a very pleasant experience. I have told many people about your customer service! We have two cars from there and will be back for the next one.

I bought my 2012 Kia Sorrento new from Jim Shorkey in North Huntingdon. At the time they offered a pick up service; it's currently a discontinued service. I relied on the service for many reasons. Although I live far from North Huntingdon I chose to purchase my car from them because they had the most inventory, gave me a great deal and to seal the deal they offered me a pick up service. When the program discontinued they told me they could no longer pick up my car. I asked to speak to someone and they gave me a cell number for Mr. Shorkey. Due to my circumstances they decided to honor their original deal of the pick up service for me since it was part of my purchase. I am grateful for the service and impressed with their integrity. I already own the car so it would have been easy to say "sorry about your luck"; but they didn't, they honored their deal. Also, they are always very nice about scheduling a pick up. They never treat me like I'm a hassle. Because they kept their word I recommend them to everyone! We are planning on shopping for my husbands car there too when we are ready to make a move in the next year or two.

The salesman, Mike Casper, was great....very upfront, incredibly nice, and informative. The offer on my trade however was an absolute joke! We went in to buy two cars and walked away and went elsewhere. They offered $5k less than anyone else on one car we were trading and over $3k less on the other. Both cars are in excellent condition, but they still offered thousands less than even "fair" condition blue book trade in values. Problem number two was the amount of time spent sitting in wait while he "talked to the manager", spent a total of just under three hours there. Problem three is that even after I was corresponding with one of their reps by email and scheduled the appointment to go in, I got a long list of emails from five other sales people at the dealership-received two emails while I was sitting in their showroom with one of their salespeople!

Although I did not get my used car from the Jim Shorkey Dealership, I would not hesitate to return and talk with them again. It was my first visit, and I was impressed with the salesman, Chris Woods. I was also impressed that Chris' supervisor spoke with me after I test-drove the car and explored pricing and financing. It was a no-pressure, pleasant experience.

Nice new facility but the dealer would not negotiate on the used Civic I was interested in for my son. I see its still listed. They could have had the seal done 2 weeks ago with a little customer care and minimal negotiation. The car was pretty rough but they wouldn't budge.

I, my husband and our daughter went to the showroom in Irwin on Saturday and were there for several hours since my daughter knew what features, color and model of new car she wanted. We haggled over a price and finally agreed on one after the salesman checked with his manager several times. The car had all of the features we wanted but had to be delivered from another dealership, OK that would only take 2 days the salesman said. It actually took 4 but we did not care.All 3 of us were excited because we felt our daughter deserved to get what she wanted since she had been in a near fatal accident from a lightning strike. The wrong car had arrived with only 1 feature that she had wanted and the salesman and manager were unwilling to deal with us. We were there 3 hours again today. We were willing to take the "wrong car" but wanted them to make the sale worthwhile for us. Needless to say we left without a car and were very disappointed. Very shady dealing since they never mentioned that it was not the car we paid for and wanted great reviews from us. Can you believe that? .

Let me start by saying that I was in the car sales business for years and can be a tough sell. I called Shorkey Kia after visiting Baierl Kia and asked for Jim himself. 30 seconds later I was speaking with Jim. I was arranging a deal for a friend which meant numerous back and forth calls. I should mention my conversation with Jim started Wednesday evening( the night before Thanksgiving). My correspondence with Jim extended well into Thanksgiving. Now who does this?! Only a very dedicated and Customer oriented professional !! I cannot say enough about my experience and the fact that the deal crushed Baierl !!!! Don't waste your time shopping anywhere else. Just go to Shorkey and ask for Jim! I did and I cannot be happier and neither could my friend!!

I have never felt the need to write a review for a car dealer, but after years of thinking car buying was the worst experience one could have, this place has renewed my faith in car buying and dealerships. I am a female and well let's face it, you do get treated rather poorly stepping into some dealerships, NOT the case here, friendly atmosphere. No pressure, they will work with you on what model, make and price you want, very accommodating, super friendly. I walked in and didn't feel attacked. Salesperson was real straight forward, you ask for a price, they will give you a price, all upfront, tell you just what it is, NO hidden costs or fees. If they say something is a certain price that is what it is. They stand by their word and pricing. I have leased two cars from Shorkey Kia in North Huntington, and I have had zero issues. ALL staff was super friendly, my salesman George Harmon was FANTASTIC. I leased two cars from him and he bent over backwards for me, checking colors, makes, models, always getting me what I wanted, I can't thank Jim enough for working within my budget and even down to Adam and Todd in the finance department, straight forward, explained everything, super friendly. I sound like a broken record stating all the great things here but honestly there is nothing bad to say about this place. Trust me I have gone to many other dealerships and none compare to this place. I mean they give you business cards with everyone from your salesman to the actual Shorkey family so you can have access to call them anytime you need something. I had some paperwork issues on my first lease, prompt phone calls, one from a Shorkey family member themself to make sure I was taken care of. I mean who does that these days?! I mean half the time you see the names on these businesses but do you ever actually meet the face behind the name? I HAVE! Very awesome, the way a business should be run. I felt totally comfortable, informed and fully satisfied being a single female, going in and closing my deal. Both cars are / were fabulous. I live about 45min. to an hour away from this store, sure you can go to the place 5min. from you, but i will go to the ends of the Earth for quality and respect - THIS PLACE IS IT. So please, if you want fair pricing, treated like a person and NOT a number, you really are family here, please check out Shorkey KIA on Rt. 30 in North Huntingdon, PA. DO NOT PURCHASE KIA'S SERVICE PLAN IF YOU LIVE IN THE PITTSBURGH AREA. I purchased a Kia Soul ! in March of 2012 at Jim Shorkey Kia. I opted in for the service plan which I was told at the time of purchase I would be able to have oil changed at ANY Kia dealership throughout the Pittsburgh area. NOT TRUE! I was told by Baierl Kia they would accept it when I called; however, I was told they woulnd't when I showed up for service. I was told by Century III Kia they wouldn't accept the service plan when I called them. When I showed up, they told me "technically we don't accept the service plan coupons but to win you as a cusotmer we will accept them." I called JMA customer service, the company that pays the Kia dealerships when they perform the service if you opted in for the service plan. They informed me that all Kia dealerships are "supposed to" accept the coupons. When I tried to cancel my service plan, I was told I had to drive back to the originating dealer to cancel. I drove there only to be told I had to pay $50 to cancel. THIS HAS BEEN A HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE AND NOBODY IS TAKING RESPONSIBILITY OF IT. Not the dealer, not JMA, and I have to pay $50?????BAD EXPERIENCE.

He brought me into his office and had me watch a brief video on their lifetime warranty(yes, lifetime warranty on a USED vehicle) while he went to grab the salesman that works specifically with what I was looking for. Now this is where I was introduced to someone I never thought existed, a real-life, down-to-earth, NON-pushy, no-gimmicks-salesman, Mike. Mike answered all of my questions, concerns, and went above and beyond to help me out. There are no words to explain just how great Mike was throughout this whole process, but I would highly recommend anyone in the market to ask for Mike. The financing guy Jed was super helpful as well. He really went out of his way and worked hard to try and accommodate my needs to make the deal work out to my specifications. I would recommend this dealership to anyone. One thing that I will change in the future, I go to Jim Shorkey before I look anywhere else. Outstanding service!

I wanted to like this dealership, but I just had a really bad experience. We drove 45 mins specifically to this dealership because my husband bought his car there a few yrs ago. The car dealer was very rude and got an attitude with us. He either didn't care or didn't know what he was doing. We test drove the car I wanted while they ran my credit. It was the perfectt car and it was a let down the car was 170 more a monthe h than I wanted to pay. Being a new stay at home mom, I can afford the same payment or less, I told him. He proceeded to tell me there was no other option for me (of course w an attitude). I stayed pleasant the whole time and told him Im ok with another vehicle, I don't have another particular car in mind, making it easy on him to just find a vehicle in my price range. He said he will see what else they have and get back to me. He didn't ask for my info, I had to give it to him, and surprise, surprise. It's been a week and havnt heard anything back from anyone at the dealership. So I'm taking my business elsewhere.

He was not pushy in any way, he laid everything out for me, and did not sugarcoat things or try to pressure me to make a decision... I walked in with the intention of looking there.. then deciding...but Steve did such a great job with me... there was no way I was going to give my business to anyone else but him. I would recommend him and Jim Shorkey Kia in an instant.

Let me ask you a question. What happened to customer service? Jim Shorkey Kia are one of the worst when it comes to customer service. I bought a 2012 Kia Sorento in Sepember 2011. It has broken down 5 times with the same issue since. They SAY they'll pick up and drop off your car when it needs servicing, what the don't tell you is that they're 3 weeks behind on deliveries. Seriously!? The owner, Katie Shorky's motto is 'It is what it is'. I spoke to her, my wife spoke to her and....yep...it is what it is. You'll tell her your issues with pain and frustration in your voice and she'll give you the old 'it is what it is' like your deciding between Coke and Pepsi. Katie told my wife that they were test driving my car on the median of the road, on the shoulder of the road- hitting the rumble strips and also hitting pot holes to see if they could get my car to act up again. WHAT! I was beside myself. Wonder what they do to test out paint jobs?When I initially purchased the car I had to take it in for a computer update. I arrive for my scheduled appointment and they tell me they don't have the time to fit me in tonight. They told me that they would schedule to pickup and drop off my car the following week. They also told me that they would fill up my gas tank for my inconvenience. They picked up and dropped off the car alright, but my tank was bone dry. The GET GAS NOW light was on and the 'miles left' till empty was flashing. Gheese, thanks! I called and talked to the person that was to fill up my tank and him haw yippity dip dop....nothing. When your car breaks down the issue has to be approved by Kia before you get the green light on a rental car. Each of the 5 times my car broke down I was out of a car for at least 2 days, the last time it was over a holiday so it was 4 days without a car. I wouldn't buy from Jim Shorkey again even if they were offering 1/2 off cars. The frustration from their service is not worth it.

Complete waste of my time. I went there telling them that my credit was average but it wasn't too established and that I had no co-signer, after 7 hours of waiting around on a Saturday I still didn't have the deal complete, they kept assuring me it would all get done and they told me I could transfer everything from my car into the new one, I cleaned out my trade including subwoofers and all wiring and put it into the new car, they gave me dealer plates and let me drive the car for 3 days before telling me they couldn't get the loan and I had to bring the car back. They get your hopes up and smash them and now I have about 2.5 hours of work to put the speakers back into my car with the wiring. They are a huge waste of time and a bunch of liars only worried about the all mighty dollar, they don't care about people at all. Worst experience I've ever had anywhere. I'm posting this review because this dealership does not deserve anything near 5 stars in every category.

We purchased our first Kia last week- 2012 Sportage EX in "Signal Red". Our salesman, Barry Kopko, was outstanding! Very friendly and down-to-earth. No high pressure sales. He was very generous with his time. We test drove a few different vehicles before choosing ours. While the specific color was not available at the time, they secured it very quickly from another dealer. We are so pleased with our experience at Jim Shorkey Kia. We were introduced to the staff, met Jim Shorkey and the best part- warm cookies and hot chocolate that made the cold/wet day better!! We opted to have a keyless remote added to the vehicle and set the appointment. They will be coming to our home tomorrow to pick up the vehicle and will return it when the job has been completed. I can't say enough about their customer service! Should we need another vehicle, we would not hesitate to come back. We are still amazed at what a pleasant experience this has been. We would reccommend Barry and Jim Shorkey Kia to anyone in need of a new car.

High pressure sales tactics...Two salespersons plus the sales manager trying to tell me how great their family business is and why I should pay more than their online figure. Trade-in too low and car price too high. I went to another dealer the next day. I was treated like an adult. Lower price for the vehile...higher trade in and only talked to one salesperson...I had a great sales experience and Baierl KIA.
