My husband and I went to purchase a truck that we saw on the internet. We showed the salesman the ad. For 5 1/2 hours we were shown every truck but that one. The truck we had the ad on was a Colorado for $23750.00. But they wanted to sell us and showed us everything over $35k They said the couldn't find the truck. The ad showed the vin #. When they entered that vin # a totally different car showed up. We were lied to over and over again.I will never buy a vehicle from them ever and I will not ever recommend John L Sullivan to anyone.We bought from our truck from Folsom Lake Chevy

Overall buying experience good. Just a couple things if you are buying a used vehicle: be sure to check on how many keys they have for you before you sign. Second, be sure to check the final bill tally. When we bought our vehicle, without asking us first, someone added in $2000 of things like Lojack, tracking and body damage insurance to the cost. The way it was presented was a little confusing, to us it appeared that these items were part of the list price: they were not... just keep your eyes open. The final sales process took a very long time but the amount of paperwork is amazing.

I purchased a new vehicle in mid May. The salesman said they included a service contract for all my oil changed no matter how many in the first year. Came in for oil change and was told only the three previous ones were included. Still waiting on drivers side seat I reported in the first month to be dealt with.

Stay away this is the worst place to take your car they will give you an appointment and never even look at you car for hours or most likely the next day .service department personnel should be fired . When you give someone an appointment you should work on there car not bull $h! T them why you didn't .I will never buy from them ever.

My experience here was by far the best car buying experience I have ever had. There was zero pushiness or usual buying sleaziness. We came in for the Car in their Black Friday Ad, and drove it loved it, and a little later we drove off with it. Their New Building is so beautiful, and they told me how hard they are working to make their store have a New Good Image. Believe me they bent over backwards for me and made it a quick and easy experience. Thanks again Jeremy for all the help..

I have bought a lot of vehicles before and the interaction I had with the new John L. Sullivan dealership was by far the worst! I first contacted them about a used truck, went in and we just couldn't make a deal. Not a problem that happens all the time. The internet manager I was working with was pretty good. After a week or so I contacted them again to see if anything had changed on the trucks price. They couldn't do anything on the truck, again no big deal thats how car deals work. They contacted me later that day and said that they had a new one on special and if I could get an extra 3,000 I could take the new one. So I contacted my credit union and got the extra money and the dealer told me we had a deal to come on in. When I got there they changed their offer on my trade in and then tried to get me to finance through them to cover the difference! I could not believe it. We had a deal and I followed through with my end but the dealer decided they wanted to change their terms. I will defiantly not be purchasing from them and I will be sure to let me friends and family know about the terrible service. The radio commercials talking about how its a local stand up dealer are ridiculous!! Do yourself a favor and go to another dealer.

I made appointment for an oil change, tire rotation and to check out a engine light on my '11 Dodge 2500. Service Writers left me standing, unassisted, for nearly 20 minutes. Service Writer finally got around to helping me, and discovered a recall of some sensor connections to the exhaust system and air intake. Left the truck, and took my wife to lunch (or she took me, since my truck was in the shop!). Returned after well over an hour to find the truck and not even been moved from where it was left. Contacted the Service Manager about why, and he stated it was not tagged correctly, and was left standing in error, and assured me that I would be taken care of, and he'd check back in with me. Nearly 3 hours later, I was charged over $100.00 for diagnosis of the engine light, that was an engine light activation from the sensors with the recalled connections. Tech adjusted my air intake tube, using a phillips screwdriver, at the cost of $100.00+ dollars, stating it was not the recalled connections, but a loose intake tube. Tires were never rotated, and when I asked, the Service Writer stated I hadn't requested the rotation. When I pointed out the rotation listed on the original service request, he said they would get right on it. Nearly 4 hours after dropping the truck off, the routine service, tire rotation and screwdriver work was completed. After enduring nearly 3 hours waiting (in a BRAND NEW dealership that was not equipped with WiFi), I was charged full boat for the screwdriver work and oil change. The Service Writer knocked a whole 14 bucks off (for the tire rotation screw up). The Dealership had NONE of the recalled parts ( a second recall was discovered for a steering part issue). Nearly 3 weeks later, and only one of the two recalled parts have come in. WORST. SERVICE. EVER.

I arrived 15 minutes prior to my scheduled time for a 3000 miles service. At the Service advisor desk I had to wait 25 minutes to with anyone My service was scheduled for 10:30 but work on my car did not commence until 11:45. Oil change service took the technician about 35 minutes which I observed from the waiting room into the service bay areas. I also had asked that my emergency brake be adjusted. Another technician had to do this and did not get to my car for another 30 minutes. He then said that my brake could not be adjusted unless a full brake service was being performed. I then waited and waited until almost 3 hours had passed for a routine oil change completion. I like the work performed but not the care given to the customer.

My husband and I were upside down on our vehicle with a VERY high interest rate loan. We got an email quote on a Grand Caravan but was more interested in another suggested vehicle. After recieving horrible offers at another dealership the night before our hopes were not high but decided we would check it out. I have a 2005 Dodge Ram Diesel that I bought new and have always had serviced at certified Dodge service centers. I have had some bad experiences but nothing worth writing about until this one. I had an appointment at 9:15 am on a weekday for an OIL CHANGE and was told by the person booking that it should take about 1 hour for the complete service. I was also told this at check in time. I got there early and was not greeted, I found a representative and he did the usual paperwork, and I went what they call a waiting area. I could see my Dodge and I sat in the same spot at check in for 45 minutes then was it was started and moved it was just moved forward so other vehicles could come in. The OIL CHANGE took 3 hours, I was never told of the status during that time, they had one service technician working on 3 vehicles at one time, I watched him do this from the door of the waiting area. All together he spent maybe 10 minutes total working on my Dodge. When it was given to me I checked the windshield wiper fluid and it was only half full, the antifreeze was not filled up to the required level, the tires were not checked and not set at FEDERALLY MANDATED pressures, and one of the deer whistles on the front was BROKEN OFF AND MISSING. I went into the service area and it there was NOBODY THERE, let me say this again, there was NOBODY THERE. I could not show the low fluids and the missing deer whistle and I did not check the tire pressures until the next morning when the tires were cold as required. They obviously do not care about anyone or anything and I will never go there again. I contacted them using email and told them the above and they wanted more information on me and said that something would be done. DON'T HOLD YOUR BREATH.

We were shopping for a Certified Pre Owned Jeep and figured we should first try and support local by going to John L Sullivan. We got our loan preapproved through our credit union and went shopping. Due to our schedule my wife had to go by herself to look at a vehicle we had seen online for sale at $16,977. She left with them offering $18,000 out the door. We went back a few days later and suddenly the price was now $18,880 with out tax or fees included. When I questioned the rise in price he quickly said this was the blue book value and the $18,000 offer was only good that one time. When we got up to leave I told him I was well aware of the real blue book value and there was no way I was paying his asking price for a vehicle that had been on their lot for 6 months so far. As we walked out he told us to "leave and don't come back". I guess the Internet price is just a scam to get you in the door. Needless to say we spent our money else where and had great customer service. I will tell everyone I know about this poor service and be sure they know not to buy from a place like this. I will however direct them to the other local dealership that we ended up buying from.
