Mariann Murphy, my sales advisor, and the management team, in particular Sonny and Derek, made leasing my Volvo XC90 a great experience, no back and forth bartering on a price, just straight forward pricing and they had the truck in the color I wanted with the options I was looking for, I drive with an assisted device on the steering wheel, which Karp's service people removed from my Ford Explorer and reinstalled on the XC90, the steering wheel on the Volvo is thicker than on the Ford. When the knob assembly didn't fit Mariann drove me in her own car to Busani Mobility to get an assembly that would fit. I can't say thank you enough, the support to make sure, I could drive home without any issue, most others would say come back another day. Marianne went above and beyond, and was uinderstanding of my needs. Thank you

Buying a vehicle can sometimes be a very stressful and negative experience. I have found that my visit to Karp Volvo has change my perspective on that experience. I met Alex when I arrived at the dealership and immediately I was greeted with a warm welcome. Alex paid very close attention to what my needs were. He knew I was shopping around and understood that to close the deal with me it would take more than a good price. I want to know that I could trust the person that is across the desk from me. He was able to develop a relationship with me in which I knew I can trust working with him. He showed me the car and when I left I told him I would be back and because I trusted him I returned. He followed up with me and never to the point where I felt it was overbearing. He gave me time to chose Karp and due to the professional, honest and personal treatment he provided me, I chose to purchase from Karp. I'm my opinion if car salesmen treated their customers like Alex treated me. Without pre-judgements, with out pre-conditions and with honesty. I believe the experience of buying a car would be enjoyable for more people. Thank you Alex and thank you Karp Auto for helping me get my new vehicle.

We were on the market for a new SUV. We have been driving Lexus cars and trucks since 90's and already gave a deposit to Lexus of Rockville Centre to buy 2016 Lexus GX460. While on the way to RVC, my wife talked me into stopping by Karp Volvo as friends highly recommended a new Volvo XC90 SUV and praised it for it's safety, features and overall performance. I was initially skeptical but after test drive and thorough explanation of XC90 features, I quickly realized that with about the same MSRP and car size/fuel consumption, you get SO MUCH MORE! Volvo XC90 is just packed with cool features and great gadgets (vehicle has it's own internet with Wi-Fi hotspot (kids love it!!!), lane-keeping aid when the vehicle stters itself back into the lane if you accidentally cross lane dividers on the road, overhead display, heated seats and steering wheel, 360 degree cameras, an amazing audio system, front display looks almost like an iPad with it's touch-screen controls to name just a few...) Overall Experience at Karp Volvo was truly exceptional! It was a real pleasure to deal with David Markowitz, a true professional with great knowledge of Volvo products and services. He gave us the best price from the start that no other dealer could beat. He also gave us a very fair trade-in offer and managed to get us a color and a bunch of feature packages that we wanted. From the initial test drive to actual purchase, David made it all so easy and straight forward. He was available in person and on the phone before, during and after the purchase. There was no need to bargain, walk in and out of the dealership to make the dealer lower prices like other dealerships do. No hassle of any kind! Everything was explained and all questions were answered. Volvo XC90 easily surpasses Lexus GX460 which we almost purchased in pretty much all respects. The whole experience was simply amazing and truly exceptional. Make no mistake, this is a beautiful dealership...no pressure and hounding because (I think) the product sells itself and staff stand behind the value...Only drawback was during our initial appointment, Alicia in internet sales told us Manager John Lane would be handling our specific inquiry and when introduced (John) passed on to Michael Kelly. This was my first time buying a car from Karp Volvo and from the moment I walked in the door it was a wonderful experience. David Markowitz was my salesman and he was easy going, friendly and I felt quite comfortable dealing with him. He was also well informed regarding the Volvo XC90 that I was looking to buy. He told me about all the extraordinary car features, and the safety ratings that the XC90 had that he sold me on the car even before I took it for a test drive. After speaking with David Markowitz for months, we finally scheduled an appointment to see the new Volvo XC90 last week, as our lease on our current Infiniti JX35 is ending. My husband spoke with a number of local (Long Island) Volvo dealers, but David was the most pleasant on the phone and the most helpful, so we didn't mind the trip from the north shore to Rockville Centre. After having an unpleasant experience with the Legacy Infiniti dealership (now under new mgt.), we were a little gun shy. However, from the moment we walked into the dealership, David made us feel comfortable and gave us a wonderful presentation of the new XC90. We didn't feel pressured and we felt that our needs and satisfaction were important to him. He was very knowledgeable and extremely professional. There was no attitude or pressure, just a welcoming, knowledgeable environment. We had no intention of leaving with a Volvo that day, but we did! After our own negative experience speaking with other Volvo dealers, we are recommending David and Karp Volvo to all our friends. We love our XC90 and look for to a long, fruitful relationship with David and Karp!

After lots of research, my wife and I decided to buy the new 2016 Volvo XC90. Since it was our first time to buy a brand new car, we were very nervous. After checking out another dealer, we decided to go with Karp Volvo because the staff members were very professional, straightforward, patient, friendly, and not pushy. We worked with Mr. David Markowitz, who specialized in Oversea Delivery program. He helped us to understand the whole Oversea Delivery process, scheduling, and the total cost involved. It was a long process, from ordering the car in May, to actually getting on the plane to Sweden at the end of August, to finally picking our new car back in New York in October, but David was there for us throughout the entire period. On the day when we pick up our car, David also worked overtime into the night to explain the new car's various new features. Thanks very much to David for his professionalism and friendliness! Car was totaled one morning, so I decided to spend the day looking for my next car. Went to two dealers & felt like the salesmen took me as a joke (probably because of my young age). At one of those dealers I tested a Volvo but I decided to buy it from an actual Volvo dealer. Googled closest dealer which was Karp & went straight over. Right away, I was greeted by Frank & we started talking business. Showed me on his computer what he had on the lot & test drove the one I liked. Went back two days later & bought it. The only thing I wish was better was the information about GAP insurance. But nevertheless, I had a great experience. Frank called a few weeks later to make sure I was happy & asked if I had any questions or concerns. I had brought the car back to service & they are extremely friendly. I would definitely recommend them if you plan on having a REAL dealer experience even after buying the car.

I came into your dealership and the entire time I was there no one greeted me or asked to assist me in anyway. I spent about fifteen minutes sitting in the new XC90 and XC60. The sales floor was not busy, as a matter of fact I was the only customer in the showroom. I guess my money is not green enough for Karp Volvo.I will take my business elsewhere.

We bought a used 2010 Volvo XC70 from this dealer. The people were pleasant enough, the car is great, but when we got the car home we discovered a few (we thought) minor issues: When we picked up the car there was a service department paper mat on the driver's side. We were told the car would have a thorough 'pre-sale check-out', so this made sense. We got home, 50 miles away, and discovered there was no driver's side floor mat under the paper mat. We called and asked for the mat, and were sent one that was the wrong color. We called again and asked for one of the right color, a new one if necessary, and were told the car was sold 'as is', and that they couldn't find a used mat and would not give us a new one. We discovered there is also no owner's manual in the car, and we've been promised one for over a month. It hasn't turned up and we're told it's on back-order. The most serious issue is that when we got home we discovered the spare tire inflation had not been checked in the 'pre-sale check-out' and was at 5 PSI instead of the recommended 80. My wife and daughter drove the car home 50 miles with a useless spare, and I'm very unhappy about that.

Went into Karp Volvo to lease a Volvo V60. On the floor they had a V60 Cross Country.When my wife asked to see the regular V60, the salesman told us that Volvo no longer made the regular V60 and now only made the Cross Country. There was no point in having a confrontation with the salesman and calling him a liar, so we politely thanked him and left.Needless to say, I would never do business with a dealership that in - in the BEST case - has salespeople who know less than a customer, but more than likely just LIED because he did not have the car we wanted in stock.And no matter how the dealership will want to spin it - this guy lied. There was no misunderstanding here.And, listen to THIS miracle! I was able to find the car we wanted that same day at Glen Cove Volvo! Imagine that? We got a car that doesn't exist.

Apparently if you don't want to re-lease a new Volvo when you return yours, then the true colors come out. Cathy from the lease return department is nothing but a nightmare to deal with. She is rude and nasty. She must hate her job so much she should be fired. She has no customer service skills whatsoever. She rudely kept calling me sir, after i told her i was not a man, and she just laughed. If this is the type of people they employ there, then why would I ever buy or lease another Volvo from them. I do own another Volvo as well and will not be bringing it there for any servicing. When i do buy another Volvo it will not be from Karp. Thanks for nothing!!!! I don't know how people give you such great reviews, because i have dealt with nothing but rudeness and inconvenience.

I have been a Volvo Customer for the last 20 years. I have leased my cars from Karp over the last 17 of those 20 years. So, they must be doing something right. Our (my wife and I) previous salesmen Al Lozito and Edward Ferrari both retired. We have dealt with Tim Gilley who is a top administrator and he assigned us a new salesman David Markowitz who took over where they left off. Quality Customer Service, and a good price. He followed up after the sale to make sure everything was okay, and told me to call whenever I had any questions, or just stop by if I was in the area. Long time Volvo owner. Absolutely positive that I wanted another Volvo until I dealt with this dealership. I was very happy with my initial salesman Damari. However, for some reason, others stepped in and it became a three ring circus. I decided to go to karp Glencove instead and the experience was not better. We Recently purchased a 2014 XC90 AWD Platinum w/Climate, Blis & Sovereign leather seats. David Markowitz was our Salesman. All I have to say is what a truly great experience!!! Doug is a great dealer, better to be clear he is exactly the type of dealer you want when making a big purchase. When I came in looking at their volvos, Doug was nothing but helpful, polite and accomodating. Dan Karp the owner even came over and introduced himself. What a respectable man. I wish I could say I brought my car from them, but instead chose a nissan (which i already regret). The craftsmanship in Volvos stand alone, apart and above even the Mercedez Benz I looked at. We stopped by just to test drive a used Volvo. We were on the way to look at some other Volvos in the area and had time to kill. We kind of expected to deal with annoying, pushy car salespeople trying to get you to buy something you don't want. None of that happened here. When David brought us to the car and gave us the specs, my husband and I looked at each other in disbelief. We found exactly what we had been looking for but had not been able to find: a very gently used, beautiful Volvo at a good price - not what I expected at a dealership. David never tried to push the car on us, and never made us feel uncomfortable. He was honest and friendly that day and has since been nothing but a pleasure to work with since our purchase. We also worked with Henry Taboada and he too was nothing but great to work with. We drove our new Volvo upstate for the weekend, and the car hasn't presented any surprises and we feel great about buying from Karp. We'll be back.

He delivered the car to my house - a First with Karp and a First with Volvo cars.In years past, we've own nothing but Volvos: 244DL, 244, 245, Cross Country AWD, XC90 AWD and now XC70 AWD. Mike got us the exact car package we wanted. Located it in Port Newark, NJ.Car works great with improved technology (compared to Volvo). They finally included USB and AUX In, which, for me, was a major, major shortcoming and short sighted from Volvo Design Engineers.Now, if we can only shut off the rear tail lights when the hatch door is opened for hours at night (camping, etc.)

Scheduled service for brakes on Thursday . Dropped the car off Friday night, spoke with nick in the morning and I called at 3:30 to see if my car was completed.. To my surprise Nick informed me that no work was performed because the brake pads needed to be special ordered for a SAAB 93. I called a local auto store in Baldwin and they were in stock. In addition I ordered and payed for a windshield washer container in February and I was told it was defective today. So basically my car sat there all day (sat) at the dealership and no one notified me that my car would not be serviced. In addition I could have had the brakes done by the person who informed me I needed brakes but I opted to use karp because I considered them my mechanic. Not anymore!!, i must say that the two ladies Catherine and ? At least showed me understanding and both offered to have the service manager call me. Both nick and David were very condecending. I have leased or purchased 4 cars from Karp with my latest purchase being a 2013 Volvo XC90. I feel as a loyal customer Karp let me down and showed no customer loyalty. My next car will not be purchased at Karp.

Returned to Karp for my first annual service. Service advisor Matt was very helpful in explaining possible services. He had the tech measure the wear on the tires before suggesting to rotate the tires. I asked Carlos if anything could be done about some scuff marks that were beyond my abilities to remove. When the car came back, all the marks were completely gone. The servicing was completed on time. Overall, it was a very satisfying experience.

I came in to have service done on an XC 90 and left a few days later with a new s60. After repairs on my vehicle were becoming too expensive Mr.David Markowitz recommended that I look at the S 60, I had time to drive this vehicle, as it was given to me as a loaner. It was quite a different feel to my truck but I loved it. Mr Markowitz put everything in place, and on my return to Karp had all the paperwork ready, his attention to detail was incredible. When we arrived at the dealership, the salesman was very professional and knowledgeable in presenting his product line and was extremely patient as we searched the showroom and outside lots for a new or used car that best met our needs. We were very thankful that the salesman didn't resort to high pressure sales tactics to rush our decision and close a deal that day which is so common in the industry. When we arrived to pick up the car, we were particularly impressed with his one hour tutorial in the car explaining every facet of the car's operation and his genuine willingness to be available for any follow up questions at ant time in the future. In summary, we were very pleased with the dealership, the friendliness of staff, and the overall sales experience.

I have to say that this was the most pleasurable experiences in getting into a new vehicle. As a previous Volvo owner we wanted to get back right into one due to its reliability and safety. When walking into Karp Volvo in Rockville Center they were extremely professional, courteous, friendly, and most importantly, sensitive to our wants/ needs both in type of car and what financially was suitable to my family. I worked with Lauren Lewis-Simmons my Sales Consultant who was extremely proficient in her job and explained the car in full detail.... it was as though she was reading my mind on questions that I wanted to ask. She was very thorough in all aspects > e.g. test drive, setting time aside to assist us, handling the paper work, contact with the insurance company, making sure the car was prepped in a timely manner, and going through/ teaching the vehicle options and set ups. Another person who I can highly commend was Vincent Villani the Volvo Asst. Sales Manager to execute the deal and made it happen. As many Car manufacturers have programs and incentives, sometimes those programs do not fit into what you are personally looking for, such as tenor of the deal, payment, and money out of pocket. Vincent Villani had worked his magic and customized a deal, with a tenor, a comfortable monthly payment and also made sure that the car was ready in a timely fashion. I have dealt with different Car Dealerships in the past and this is the first time that I didn't have to leave and search for a better deal.....THAT IN ITSELF SPEAKS FOR ITS SELF!!!!! The check engine light on my 99 S70 consistently went on as of 1/13. Ted and Mark did everything they could to resolve the issue mindful of cost. It took several trips working our way through the symptoms to resolve the problem. The trigger was typically a filling up. I picked the car up on Wednesday and filled up Wednesday night and the light has not appeared. I especially appreciated the check in's, the progress reports and their willingness to answer my questions.They are always very willing to work with my schedule in terms of dropping the car off or picking the car up. My previous service provider did not accomodate early or late pick-ups or drop-offs. Nor did they provide a courtesy car. Karp does an outstanding job servicing my car. And when I get to the place for purchasing a new car Karp will be my dealer of choice.

However, we found Bill McGarr willing to work with us and help find a solution to a mutual and satisfactory agreement. Additionally, the sales concierge, Caterina LaForte and sales consultant, Liliana Gonzalez, were equally helpful and accommodating in assisting us return our previous lease-ending vehicle to a different dealer. From the moment we walked into Karp Volvo in Rockville Centre we were greeted by friendly people eager to help. You don't stand around waiting for someone to acknowledge you. We were directed to salesman, Michael Convoy, who was warm, friendly, knowledgeable, well-spoken and did not push, which is what we hate about going car shopping. On our visit Michael introduced us to Vincent Villani, one of the managers who ran the numbers for us. He said they would get back to us after they found out what our present car was worth. A few days later we were driving off the lot with a beautiful XC60 confident that it was the best deal we could make. My husband is now planning to return to this dealership when his lease is up. We were with our former dealer for 10 years and the people at Karp have made us new customers. I feel sure that I am driving a very safe, well-made car. Missing cpo report from when the car was purchased was finally received. Windshield leak corrected. Apparently a new windshield was installed, although with grease stains left on the a-pillar upholstery...Service manager was helpful in making sure things are fixed.Received free loaner car for the duration of the repair work. Service manager offered to have the car detailed due to melted chocolate residue left in the crevices of the center console from before the purchase. However, after the detailing the said chocolate residue still remains. I believe the detailers worked on the exterior and never got to the interior.

This is the second Volvo I have purchased from Karp. (XC70 2008-XC70 2013).as far as the Service dept goes i have to say that I have always been treated with the utmost respect, have never been high pressured into purchasing anything other than what my visit to the service dept was for. the techs. always did the job right the first time, so no return trip for the same job. Waiting for my car was very comfortable and when Kathy was in the service area she always offered coffee or somthing to read, she is great.I have never waited a unreasonable time for service and when it was going to take a longer time to repair i was always offered a complimentry car or a ride to my train station.as far as my buying experience with David Markowitz is concerned i must give him an AAA+ rating. he is a professional in every rspect and his comunication on price and all other options availaqble are top shelf. When I picked up my 2013 XC 70 he patiently went through all the features with my wife and I so that there was no questions when he called us to ask if everything was good with the car and did we have any additionl questions.My car was delivered ahead of schedule,it was clean and topped off with a red bow on the dash, which i really thought was a nice touch.

There is no short way to write this poor review so I will just write the facts. My poor review starts from the moment roadside assistance was called and to be fair, that portion of the service was contracted out, but Volvo itself needs to be accountable for their subcontractors. The towing company was over an hour late to get to the car that was broken down in a Target lot. After having been towed to Karp, it took them 2 hours to locate the car and another hour to find the key in the car. I was told the car was being diagnosed and they would get right back to me. A few hours later I call back and I am told they are still diagnosing the car and they will call me around 3 Oclock. After no call at 3, I call at 3:30 and they tell me it is still being diagnosed and I can have a loaner if I want. When I get there, I am told that the loaner is 18 dollars+ per day. I was always provided with a loaner from Enterprise, but I guess that is no longer policy.The next morning, I have to call again to find out that there is a steering column problem and they can repair it today and it will be $875. I ask if there is anything he can do with the price for a loyal customer and the fact that it is an older model car (2004). He says he will work with me. I approve the repair. I guess 10% is technically working with me, but with Nassau sales tax I saved about 12 dollars.Just over 1 day later, the check engine light comes on. It is riding fine, but I am concerned that since it just broke down, maybe there was an additional issue related to the service a day earlier, so I call the service department up and make an appointment to bring it in the next Saturday as neither my wife nor I can take more time off for the car. I arrived right after they opened and after no call for most of the morning again, I called to find out that again, it was being diagnosed and might not be until Monday so I needed to get a loaner again and pay for it. They lost the cover sheet that had my cell number on it so they were calling the wrong number all day trying to get in touch with me. I call first thing Tuesday morning to find out that my coils are misfiring and that I need new spark plugs. Total cost around 700-800 dollars to replace the coils and plugs. I asked how were these issues not diagnosed with last weeks day plus diagnosis did not pick up these problems? He said the check engine light was not on so they didnt know to check that. I said I would talk to my wife and get right back to them. At this point I am skeptical so I call back to tell him not to do anything with the car. On that call he proceeds to tell me that the car will also need front end work and a major service within the next five thousand miles. It will cost around three thousand dollars. Now I am no longer skeptical, I am downright suspicious. I tell him not to do anything with the car. My wife is coming to pick it up. When she gets there, he tells her he is surprised. Nobody has ever denied the service. They charged us the diagnosis fee and she left with the car. The next morning on her way to work, a screw falls out of the steering column and the body of the steering column comes apart.I take it to a Volvo specialist on the North Shore. He finds nothing wrong with the coils, and says even of there is a problem, chances are it is not with ALL of the coils. He replaces the spark plugs, re-fixes the steering column body and fixes a few other small things for me for just over 100 dollars. I can only imagine how much I was taken for on the other repairs that were done at Karp over the last few years. This has been price gouging at its very worst.

This was the worst experience I have ever had. When purchasing my Volvo, I was promised a free loaner car. When bringing my car in for maintenance or service, I was told to pay $20 for a loaner. Each time I dropped my car off, I had to argue with the service center and my car was always returned dirtier than I left it. I would NOT recommend this dealership to anyone. Worst experience EVER. We originally chose this dealership for the location, as it is so close to our house, but now we would rather drive over an hour to Volvoville for excellent service.

Our one year old car had been destroyed in a flood (hurricane Sandy) and we desperately needed a replacement car as soon as possible. Eddie went out of his way and contacted several sources and was able to find not only the same model with the same features, but even the same color which we wanted again. This was no small feat since cars after the hurricane have become quite scarce. The delivery of the car was also exceptional...Eddie showed us all the new features on the car and even programmed the blue tooth phone. My wife and I both felt very well taken care of. Overall dealer experience was fantastic! From the moment my family and I walked into the showroom (we were 1st time visitors) we were immediately treated like part of the Karp Family. Kathy Laforte, the Service Concierge was outstanding and our son felt instantly comfortable, so much so that he wanted to stay at the dealership with her while my wife and I test drive the S60. Wow, he's never done that before. Our sales consultant, David Markowitz was outstanding!!! He arranged a test drive in a model very similar to the one we were interested in and demonstrated all of the key features of the vehicle. We were sold, we went back to the dealership and made a deal. We talked to David about our preferences and David and Karp came up with an unbeatable price that we simply could not refuse, so we bought a car!On the delivery day, David thoroughly reviewed all of the features of our new car, setup the bluetooth connections for both of our phones and even demonstrated the City Safety automatic braking feature in the parking lot. So far we are really enjoying our new car and the whole Karp experience was amazing. I was scheduled to repair the driver seat upholstery in my 2012 Volvo S60 on Friday, June 1, 2012. In addition for some reason I requested a loaner car when I made the service appointment in the previous month. However when I called to confirm my service appointment the service dept. had me scheduled to wait till the service was completed on my vehicle. Cmon re-upholstery of a drvier seat could take some time to be done correctly. Upon my arrival at KARP service department at 8AM I was told to ask for Michael Piscopo - Service Consultant. I explained my issue regarding the loaner car to Michael and he quickly arranged a loaner vechicle for me and an SUV - XC 90. Michael said my vehicle would be completed in the latter afternoon. I received a call from Michael at 3:30PM that my car was ready for pick-up. I was extremely satisfied when I looked at the new upholstery installed on my drivers seat - Looked exactly the same as when I originally picked up my new S60 a year ago. I would recommend dealing with Michael Piscopo when service is required on your Volvo vehicle. Michael is extremely professional and courteous and will get your service done in an efficient and effective manner.

My Volvo was being reparied at a local autobody shop.After several trips back to complete the work, I had it sent over to Karp Volvo to be checked out.I travel for work, and being safe in my travels is why I invested in a Volvo to begin with!When Michael called to let me know the "sound" I was concerned about was the natural way of the motor, and my car received a clear bill of health, I was thankful.The auto body had dropped off the car at Karp, when I picked up the car was my first personal expereince with Karp & Michael. My Audi was coming off lease, and the good reviews I was reading about the s60 coupled with their "conquest discount" to owners of Audi, BMW, etc. made Volvo the only other car I was considering besides another Audi. When my family and I first entered the dealer, we were greeted with friendly, welcoming Hello's. We were then introduced to Michael Conway. We met him for the first time but felt like we knew him for 100 years! He was awesome. We explained to him that our lease on our second Volvo XC90 was coming to an end and were interested in getting a new one. We went over what we wanted with him. And we left. He was not pushy at all and we loved that!!! We went home and thought about it! We were not 100% sure we wanted another Volvo or wanted a change. The next morning when we were planning to call Michael with some more questions the phone rang. My husband talked to him on the phone. Our decision was made. He was great! He got us a GREAT Deal!!! This was by far the best new car buying experience ever. As soon as my wife and I entered the karp Volvo showroom we were greeted by the 1st person there ( turned out to be their finance guy),and he immediately introduced us to Eric Tambini after asking to test drive the S60 T5. Eric ,turned out to be a real professional, gave us all information we asked for,no typical salesmen BS and after the test drive even though we made it clear that we are not yet ready to make any decision and asked if he could physicality show us an S60 T5 with a Beech wood interior, he drove us over two miles to their inventory lot,spent all the time needed searching until he located the car that actually met all our requirements of first choice color and options . We now expressed interest in possibly making a decision after all and when we got back to the showroom Eric spent less then 60 seconds with his Sales manager and came back with a price that I knew was as good as it can get (having previously investigated with other dealers and researched the MSRP and fair market price at Edmunds and Kelly book ) .The rest of the process was a pleasure ,Eric had the car ready for us less then 3 hours later after my wife and I returned from our appointment in the city. it's now a little over 2 weeks ,already have about 1,200 mile ,love the car ,had several follow up calls from Eric ,what else can I say .I definitely recommend both karp and Eric

I leased an XC60 about two years ago from Karp Auto. My salesman was Frank Moscati who has fantastic. Very knowledgeable, friendly and willing to work to get the best deal for me( and sale for him). Franks professionalism continued after our purchase. We experienced some mechanical problems with the XC60 throughout our lease and were not happy with the results from the service department. Frank was always on top of any questions or concerns I had and was in contact with service throughout the process for us. Despite our bad experience with their service department, Franks "above and beyond" approach to sales convinced us to return to Karp for a new lease. I would highly recommend Frank as a salesman and Karp as a source of your new volvo. Hopefully they get their act together over in the service department.

This is the second car we purchased working with Mike, our 3rd from Karp Volvo.We decided to go to Volvo after unpleasant experiences with Nissan & Suburu. We never owned a Volvo before & we love its performance. We met Mike the second time, I wanted to drive a car for 1/2 a day because I had made an error buying the Nissan. Mike arranged that for me, I liked the S80 and purchased one with more features because I had the opportunity to be in it for a while. He was so helpful with great knowledge, did not rush us in any way. We made our choice and Mike had it delivered exactly when we had agreed. He reviewed the features & we love the car. We still own it and it is an excellent auto.We were in the market for a new car again, we went looking specifically for Mike as he is the type of sales person you want to work with. We went on his day off, another person offered us information nicely, but we came back the next day when Mike was there. We were interested in the XC60. We made an appointment with Mike, he was there ready with the information, he is very pleasant to speak with in a general sense. Answers all questions and with the first sales (the S80) followed up by phone to see if all was okay. We purchased the XC60, picked it up this evening. Mike had to go out of his way to get this done due to an error on our part with paperwork, he did it willingly, correctly and efficiently. Karp Volvo is very fortunate to have Mike! Another plus is he never forgets your name, that is impressive!One thing we have always disliked about Nissan car salesman is their rush to sell, get you out the door and on to the next person, then you can never find them again. That was not our experience, Mike does not rush and offers all the time you need to make an informed decision. I contacted this dealership regarding leasing a new car. I had dealt with them before and had been pleased enough to recommend them to others, I had forgotten how stress-free dealing with the right people at the right dealership could be, Eddie Ferrari has been an extremely cordial gentleman to deal with thru the whole transaction,,,The sales manager was very pleasant as well, and the Finance manager Ron, was a great guy to deal with also,,In all, none of the stresses that one hears about in buying or leasing a car were seen here,at least to me. This has also been the experience of others I know have dealt with this dealership. It is no wonder that after over 50 years, they are still family owned and its obvious that they do care...For me they have made the challenge of selecting and leasing a new car the enjoyable experience it should be, Eddie went out of his way to explain everything and there was no pressure there. and despite all that, I got a super price, not offered anywhere else. Emailed Karp about XC60 and Frank Moscati called about my inquiry. He gave me a great deal on the car I decided on. He was the only dealer to give me such a competitive quote that I really didn't have to look much further. He wasn't pushy at all and took the time to go over all the minor details that go into this type of transaction, unlike some of the other dealerships I was dealing with at the time. The entire process was seamless and was handled expeditiously. Would absolutely do business with him again and refer anyone I know in the market for a Volvo. I have been a Karp Saab customer for several years and just leased my first Volvo. Eric Tambini made the experinece of leasing the Volvo as seemless as possible. I kept asking him, "Is that all?" No problems, no issues, just service. We did most of the groundwork via email. All I had to do is walk in and sign my name a few times. The price was about as fair and competitive as you can get -- with a few extra things thrown in. The car drove beautifully. I haven't used the service department as yet so I gave "quality of work" only a "good" evaluation. Since it's Karp, I'm sure it will be higher than that. I would not hesitate to recommend Eric and Karp especially if you like a lot of hand-holding (professionally speaking!). Eric went out of his way to provide explanations and assistance. Even though I had worked with some of the Karp folks on the Saab side, everyone on the Volvo side was introduced and provided a warm welcome. Nice, professional and "comfortable" interaction. Maybe they'd like to teach a course on customer service!!!

I was scheduled to pick up the new car on the Saturday when we got hit with the October snow storm. Michael took care of everything in order for me to take delivery on the following Sunday. I had the pleasure of receiving my 2012 XC70 through Karp Volvo. Frank Moscati was my representative and I couldn't be more pleased. Frank was very courteous, explained my vehicle in great detail and even setup my bluetooth, contacts and i-pod connection. He reassured me that if I have any questions or issues to contact him directly and he holds true to his word. A few days after I picked up my vehicle, I valeted my car at my work garage. The valet had blue ink on the palm of his hand and left marks on the gear shift. I lost it! I immediately called Frank Moscati to ask him his advice. He asked me to e-mail him a picture of the gears shift and gave me a few methods of how to remove the stain. Fortunately, Frank was able to help me and the stain was taken care of. I was very impressed by his response time and couldn't feel more confident to recommend Frank and be assured that he's on top of things. All that being said, I'm extremely happy with my XC70 and knowing that I can rely on Frank if a problem should arise. Joel Pompa, our salesman/representative, was so helpful, answering every question we put forth. Never did Joel get frustrated when the same question was asked more then once; he was always kind, courteous, and very informative. My husband and I were simply interested in looking at the new S60 as a possible replacement for our car that was coming off lease in a few months. We met with salesman David Markowitz who shared his knowlegde and true love of Volvos with us. After test driving the car and deciding that this was the car for us , David simply made it happen. We were able to turn in our high mileage vehicle early and only days later we were driving our new Volvo in the color and with the equipment we wanted. What can I say? After a REALLY bad experience at a Hyundai dealer (I THOUGHT I wanted a Hyundai), I went to Karp Volvo, since I already knew that they had an excellent reputation. I didn't know if I wanted an SUV or a sedan, so David Markowitz let me test drive what I was interested in. He showed me the new features on the Volvo S60, and I was pretty convinced that was what I would "settle for", even though I had contemplated the XC70 for many years, when I had kids. Now that the "kids" don't want to be in the car with the "old folks" anymore, this seemed like the right size. Bottom line... no hassles, no problems, no BS, the right price, great non-pushy salesman. AND, I was not "settling" for this car. It is super smooth, classy, quick, and now my husband keeps trying to get the car keys from me! He put enough miles on it just seeing how it accelerates on the parkway and the expressway. First, i would like to comment on the 4.8 rating for the dealer. Clearly, this rating is based upon sale, not service. The service rating is 2.8. I had previously posted on what I considered to be overpricing. However, I decided to once again give a local dealer my business. I have a 2010 S80 which was making a noise from the rear passenger side. I realize that noises come and go, as this one does. So, I stopped into th dealer and said the car was making the noise and can a mechanic or someone take a fast ride to hear it and isolate it..I was ok with bringing it back to be addressed, just wanted the mechanic to HEAR it. The response..sorry to busy to take five minutes to help you out. terrible.

We purchased a 2005 Subaru Outback, LLBean edition for 10,000K. The condition was excellent, but the miles were just over 100K. That's why the price was low. Frank (our sales consultant) was honest, friendly and professional. My two daughters were entertained my some of the staff with water and some snacks, while Frank and I went for a test drive. The price...according to a clerk at the DMV - I got a steal.My mechanic loves this car.We just drove upstate about 500 miles and back - no issues except a low tire pressure and I had to replace the wipers.We LOVE THIS CAR!!!!Karp is where I will go to purchase a new or used car when the time comes.Thank you, Karp Auto.

I was approached by Frank Moscati, who proceeded to answer all of my questions and actually portrayed true respect, which I appreciated (being a woman). I was not pushed into making a decision, but did end up leasing my XC60 that day and had a pick-up date scheduled. I just took home my brand new Volvo S60 T5 in red. Working with Karp has been a very pleasant experience, in fact the best car leasing experience I ever had. When my wife and I initially went in to the dealership after seeing a TV commercial for this car (I would not even had known this car exists and was affordable otherwise), we were treated great from day one. Mike Conway, our salesperson, went over the car with us and explained the features and options and we were then taken on a test drive by another gentleman who was very nice and further explained the car. After a great test drive I explained to Mike that I had 2 months left on my current lease. Mike told me to come back when I had 1 month on my lease and he would work with me on getting the best deal. He followed up with emails and regular mail which was nice and it made me feel they were interested in me as a potential customer. I then went back when I had 1 month left on my lease but I didnt call ahead to see if Mike was working that day. Unfortunately he was not in however my wife and I were so impressed that another salesman (Eric) took the time to answer additional questions, show me available colors, go over all the packages and options on the car, etc. It was not his sale yet he spent a lot of time with me, that never happens elsewhere! I then was able to connect with Mike and he made the leasing process very easy. I had visited one other Volvo dealer within walking distance of my office on Long Island to get a comparison quote, but left totally unimpressed. The salesperson there on my first visit gave me about 8 printed price proposals and laid them out on the desk and told me to pick the best one that works for me. I explained I was not ready to lease that day (I was on my lunch break) yet they were very pushy and called in the sales manager to push me to sign right then and there as I was never going to get a better deal. I now see why this dealership has a much lower rating than Karp.I highly recommend Karp Volvo and Mike Conway in particular. When I picked up the car Mike told me he did a thorough review of the car before hand and there were no scratches or scuffs. He then spent a lot of time with me going over all of the cars features and buttons. He even synched my phone to the blue tooth. He encouraged me to call if I had more questions or disovered any issues with the car. Mike even called me also 2 days after I got the car just to see if everything was OK and if I was enjoying it. As a business owner myself, I loved getting that call as I have my staff follow-up in the same manner!Just a great experience from day one. I walked into many other non Volvo dealers and wasn't even greeted and so far everything with Karp has been fantastic. And by the way, I would recommend this car to anyone, it drives and looks amazing, nice upgrade from the Accords I have driven for 8 prior years.

My daughter just received her licence and based on volvo's great safty record, I thought it would be a practical first car for her.We entered the dealership (Karp volvo) and the S6 T5 FWD sedan not only looked great, but based on the features of the car was also a great value.Our salesman was David Markowitz, who took a lot of time detailing the car with my daughter and I. We leased a C70 (convertible) and for the first time we have EVER bought or leased a car we can say we actually had FUN. Tony and Frank found the EXACT car we were looking for. As educated (and, yes VERY TOUGH) customers we then shopped at other area dealerships for the best price, and after going back to Karp, the best price was not only matched but it was BEAT! In addition, Tony volunteered to take my leased Audi back for me, saving me much time and effort. The business end of the transaction went off without a hitch, and Frank spent a great deal of time showing us the vehicle. He even personally installed our phones in Bluetooth, and also the all-weather floor mats which we insisted they "throw-in", which they did with smiles, rather than frowns. After the pick-up we received calls not only to see how everything was, but also to tell me that the car return process was completed. There was absolutely nothing that a car dealer could have possibly done better and we recommend this dealership with the highest praise!BTW...We love the car!!!

He answered all of my questions thoroughly and stayed in constant contact with me via phone and email to accommodate my busy schedule. I had to purchase a car within a very short amount of time and David made the process from inquiry to purchase stress free and easy, which I very much appreciate. I used the USAA pricing which made this a lot easier for me. I walked in discussed which cars they had in stock and signed the paperwork later that day. I was very easy to work with this dealer and felt not having to haggle about price made my experience better than most. Everyone at the dealership that I spoke with were very nice and I didn't get the impression of being just a number to them. After reading all those glowing reviews, I hope I won't be considered a crank but rather a real former customer who actually took the time to write an honest review. I wont mention any names because the people I had contact with were very personable, helpful and frankly not responsible for what happened in the repair area. I took my car in several times. A short time after each visit another problem would mysteriously occur. Each subsequent repair was more serious than the last. My original visit was to take care of a "secret" recall, I had to read about it online. Being the honest person that I am, I believed that my car was just having problems unrelated to dealer repair facility trustworhtyness. Then after spending over a thousand dollars at the dealer, I bought a car code reader and reported my finding to the dealer. They told me I didn't know how a car works and neither did my car code reader. I went back to my old mechanic, whom I had stopped going to because I no longer lived anywhere near him when I moved. I spent a fraction of what I spent at Karp. The problem was fixed in ONE visit. Its been a long while and no nagging check engine light has come on like after each visit to Karp. Oh and every time I went to karp I asked to have my license plate light replaced along with the other work. Never happened. I didnt even mention it to my mechanic and he noticed it and replaced it for free. It was well worth the hour and twenty minute drive back to him. I can only conclude, granted without evidence, that the repair bay at Karp volvo sabotaged my car to get the return business because I had grown lazy and crazy enough to patronize them repeatedly.

We visted two Volvo dealers and the difference was staggering. While Ed was quick with his best price-the other dealer gave us a price that was $50 more per month and the manager told us to call him and he would try and get us a better price. Where Ed was friendly, personable and professional, the other dealer was the proverbial "used car salesperson". When we picked up the car-Ed was there to make sure that he personally went over all the paperwork as well as give us a "guided tour" of how the vehicle works. It was truly a pleasure working with someone as professional as Mr. Ferrarri.

It's interesting how a dealership experience can change your opinion of the brand. After having a less-than-perfect (to put it kindly) experience at a different Volvo dealership, I was a bit turned off by the idea of pursuing this brand. However, a client of mine (who owns a Volvo) swore that I had to visit Karp Volvo. As she was telling me about her experiences, I could tell she was very passionate about the dealership and her sales associate (Eddie Ferrari). She was ADAMANT that I go to Karp; she simply would not take no for an answer and immediately offered to contact the salesman for me (I convinced her not to and promised that I would go in). Being from the north shore of Long Island, I wasn't exactly thrilled at the idea of schlepping down out of the way to Rockville Centre. I walked in on a Sunday afternoon and was immediately greeted by David Markowitz, who was very pleasant. Eddie must have been off. At this point I have my guard up and am cautiously explaining my vehicle needs to him. He was attentive and listened to me, rather than pushed a sales pitch on me. I needed time to think about the decision to be made and so I informed him that I would get back to him in a couple of days. During this time, I was not harrassed by him (unlike the perfume ladies at Bloomingdale's). I returned a few days later and purchased my 2011 XC70. What you get with David Markowitz and the team at Karp is INTEGRITY. I left feeling comfortable and happy with my purchase. As a north shore Long Islander (and a virgo), I can be tough to please. My client was absolutely right about Karp Volvo and it's worth the trip down.

I hate dealing with your typical car salesman and they were far from being typical in a good way. Let's just say I've stormed out of several dealerships in the past year or so in a very bad mood (including other volvo dealerships). Nicole was my initial point of contact. I live far away from the dealership in NJ, so in order to get comfortable with the idea of traveling out there I emailed and spoke with Nicole several times. She was very honest with me and when she didn't have a specific answer to a question she said she would have a salesman get back to me. I liked her alot, so I was a bit nervous at the idea b/c I thought to myself... here we go... the salesman is going to come in and do some bait and switch or something like that. Not at all. He called me and answered my questions and that was it. I scheduled an appointment to come in and Eric was my primary point of contact at the dealership. He was not aggressive at all, but yet he was very knowledgeable about the car and his inventory. The next issue that came up was my financing. I had everything prepared including my car insurance and financing, or so I thought... My money was stuck being transferred in between banks. Well then came Ron who was the financing guy... and I thought to myself again... well here we go... now they're really going to get me. I couldn't believe it... he beat my online financing quote that I received. I ran the numbers myself and double checked for add'l fees and everything checked out. I signed the papers and walked away with a new volvo! Thanks Nicole, Eric and Ron for my pleasant experience.

After offering us candy and coffee, she introduced us to our sales consultant, David Markowitz. Had a overall great experience. Went in interested in a 2012 Volvo S60 and ended up leaving with one. Service was excellent and everyone at the dealership was friendly and helpful. Didn't feel pressured to buy and got a great overview of the car and its features. You can tell that the sales consultants and this particular dealership want you to find the perfect car and also work within your budget. David was very knowledgeable and showed us the car inside and out. By the time we drove out the dealership we were already familiar with the car. Its been 3 days since delivery and I couldn't be happier. Since delivery, David has managed to call us to see how we we're doing with the car and if everything was o.k. I walked into this dealership and no one even said hello. After walking around and looking at the cars that were on the showroom floor I asked a few questions to the person who was sitting at the front desk. He informed me that there were only two salesperson on, and that they were busy. He attempted to let me sit in a vehicle but he brought out the wrong keys and I told him I would be back. Once back in the showroom there were several people standing at the front desk and none of them acknowledge me which was also disappointing. The front desk person let me leave without taking my name, number or e-mail addres just handed me a card and told me to call on Tuesay however the day of my visit was a Sunday. I felt this dealership judged me by the package. I took home my brand new XC60 in the same week on Thursday, shame on Karp Volvo.

I was out to dinner with a very good friend of mine, Marissa, who happens to be Eric Tambini's girlfriend. I was having trouble with my Volvo and was openly discussing it, had taken it to multiple auto body shops as well as Hassel, where I purchased the vehicle, all of which said that the car could not be fixed for at least a week. Upon hearing this, Marissa immediately called Eric over and I explained the situation to him. It was later in the evening, and he even went out of his way to call his boss that very night and ask what they could do for me. He was so passionate about not only helping his girlfriend's friend, but took pride in the company, the service that they provide, and the cars themselves. He was able to get my car serviced the following day, which was uncanny to me, seeing as Hassel (where I purchased my Volvo and have since been getting it serviced), said that it would take at least a week and although the vehicle is still under warranty, I would have had no transportation to and from work. I would also like to thank Julie, the Service Manager, for expediting the entire process and doing so with such a pleasant demeanor. As a result of this single experience with Karp, I will never "Hassle with Hassel" ever again! This was the first time that buying an automobile was a pleasing experience. Eric, our salesman, was patient and knowledgeable and took us on several test rides. He was helpful is helping us decide whether to lease or to purchase and when we decided to purchase immediately located an auto with the features we wanted. When we took delivery and on the way home, became aware that the suspension was too rigid for my wife's back problem, we were able to return the auto and the dealership located essentially the same car with a softer suspension. Our only expenses were the trucking fee for transportation of the vehicle from the mid-west and a charge for installation of back-up sensors which I wanted. Dealing with Eric and his supervisor was a pleasure. He promptly returned telephone calls and kept us informed when the auto was being located, shipped and prepared for us. He patiently explained the working of the car's electronic features and made it clear that he would help us in the future if we had trouble with the features.Leonard Kresch

In 08 we bought an s80 and the day we walked in they treated us like family and we enjoyed going there and we live some 70 miles away they have always had our best interest in mind. MY wife was in the market for a new car and have asked her what she had in mind she said i would like a BMW but I will only buy it if Karp sells them well here we are january 2011 with a new s60 fully loaded and could not have been happier. Frank our salesmen was sick with the flu but called us three time to make sure all was well and put everything together perfectly for mike when we came to pick it up , if you had to put a rating on the service dept. well I would have to say they are an extended part of our family for sure and I hope they will be around for a long time, if not i might not be driving a volvo.

I took my car in for an oil change on 12/29/10 and was told I needed the following:1. front brakes (includes pads and rotors) for a price of $697.00. I had the brakes done today at a non dealer shop who used all volvo parts (pads and rotors) for $446.45 ($484.96 with tax). There is just no reason that there should be a price difference of $250.00.2. 4 tires for $1,150.00. I was quoted from tire places approx. 200-250 less.3. Exhaust bracket for $132.00. Mechanic could not find this problem.4. change 2 rear marker bulbs for $53.00. Mechanic could not find this problem.The prices are just ridiculous for this economy, or for anytime for that matter.

I would just like to point out a few people that made my decison to buy a Volvo there. Tony Martinez was amazing. He came out and introduced himself which really impressed me. The other two Volvo dealers I went to they didnt even care that I was there. He did what ever he could to make this deal happen and was extremely professional and friendly from the moment we got there. My salesperson Eric Tambini was the nicest person I have met in a long time. He was pleasant and helpful from start to finish and I felt he really cared about me and this sale. Bravo to him. Last but not least, Michael Conway did our final paperwork with a friendly, helpful, pleasant attitude. He answered all our questions and really made the experience wonderful. I also want to mention the girl who went over the warranty with me. She was wonderful as well. this is the 5th volvo i have leased/purchased from this dealership and sales associate. It is a pleasure working with people who actually want you not to be pressured into "must get this deal today only" They want to make sure you are 100% satisfied with purchase and are completly satisfied before you leave the showroom. But it doesnt end there. the service at Karp is better than great. The work done is first raten and they never try to sell you service you dont necessarily need.

We had been taking our car to a shop, recommended by the Volvo club blog site, that specialized in Volvos and Saabs. These guys had done a great deal of work on it, amounting to about $2700. But one problem always lead to another (which never happened before they "fixed" it) and there was a continued recurring electrical problem. The car would simply be dead - for no reason. They did all kinds of things to it, and yes, they were less expensive than Volvo. But this went on and on. Finally they told us they had no idea what the problem was, and there was nothing more they could do.That was when we took it to Karp. They fixed the problem and it cost about $700, and it turned out that what was causing the problem was that the other guys had disconnected the alarm system and left the wires raw and they were shorting out. In addition to fixing that problem, Karp gave us a list of other things that needed to be done to the car, in order of importance with prices, spending the time to explain what each item was, why it was important, and if and how long the problem could be put off. I am a person who always tries to research a problem, because I have found that part of getting a good solution is asking the right questions. Karp gave me the information to make decisions about repairs and I felt, for the first time, that a car dealer service treated me the way i would have treated a customer if it were my business.I am very happy with them.

I have been a Karp customer for the last 3 years. They are the most professional and friendliest people I have ever encountered at any dealership. I would like to share my experience, It was about 7:30pm and my car would not start my son was able to jump start the vehicle (my son did not believe the charge would hold very long). I immediately called Karp and spoke with Mark who told me to bring the vehicle right over. They diagnosed it as a weak battery and was able to replace it right then and there. Julie (Service Manager)informed me that evening that I have now become a member of the "After Hours Club". Thank you Karp Service for making my experience a great one.

They were either incompetent or a scam operation.Every time the car was given for regular service something unexpectedly stopped working.The first time was the cruise control.The second time the driver's power seat.When asked the response was always that they didn't notice anything, they were not aware of anything going wrong while the car was serviced.They always offered to fix the damage for a hefty bill.Their customers trusted this Long Island dealer with their hard earned money to buy the car from them but servicing the car with this dealer was a mistake costly paid. The third time it took them more than a week to diagnose correctly a battery drain problem and they caused a slight damage to the passenger door.It was the last time that Krap screwed things up with my car.

This was one of the WORST dealers I have been to. The finance department tries to con you and lie to you about loans and interest rates. The sales people were friendly, but not enough to buy. I went to another dealer and purchased a car for MUCH less. It goes to show you have to do your homework.

I leased Volvo at this dealer for 8 years (2- 4yr leases). The refundable security deposit of $425 from the first lease was never refunded & was not shown on the second lease. When asked why is was not shown on the 2nd lease the sales person said not to worry it will be refunded at end of the second lease. It was not refunded. The dealer said to contact Volvo Finance & Volvo finance said to contact the dealer because they have no record of leases that expired. I was conned for the refundable security deposit. In addition, I paid $400 for an ipod connection in the car. After going back no less than 5 times because it didn't work I gave up & did without it. My first oil change after 6 mos was charged $230. Another rip off. I can scan copy of leases to substantiate all facts. My reason to write such an unfavorable rating is because I believe a big injustice was done several times.

While my car was under warranty, this service department was great. After the warranty expired, every time I went in for an oil change, I "needed" other work done and typically spent upwards of $200. My last AND FINAL experience with this dealership was insulting. I was initially told that my catalytic converter would be replaced for $255. After a week of waiting for the part to come in, I called to follow-up. I was then told that that offer was no longer possible, BUT if I had more than $1300 worth of other work, they would "throw in" the catalytic converter (cost $1500). This is highly insulting and unethical. Furthermore, I took my car to another mechanic and am paying $1000 for all the repairs combined!
