As you can imagine buying your first car at a young age can be pretty intimidating as your always nervous about being scammed or pressured into buying something you don't want, not here however. From the moment i walked into Kirby Subaru I felt a great vibe from everybody who worked there. I went in to Kirby Subaru a few weeks ago because i was interested in the WRX model as i had owned one before. After test driving one, i was pretty much sold on the car, however they did not have the color i wanted but that didn't stop them from making sure i drove home in exactly what i wanted. Francisco Vazquez did an amazing job at making the purchase smooth and understandable. Not once did i feel uncomfortable and at the end of the day the vehicle i wanted was transferred from another dealer and delivered right to KIrby Subaru. I am now the proud owner of a 2017 Subaru WRX Premium in Crystal White Pearl. So thank you Kirby Subaru and thank you Francisco for the great hospitality.

Look/Ask for Francisco Vazquez! This was my first time visiting Kirby Subaru of Ventura. I did plenty of research online before hand to save time. As I walk around the lot trying to find the car I had my intensions on buying, Francisco Vazquez approached me offering his assistance. I gave him the specs of the vehicle that I was interested in, right away he knew where that specific car was (Lapis Blue, 2017 WRX Limited). Quick in and out, I'd say no more than 2 hours. We talked over the prices, he went above and beyond to get the numbers I was comfortable with. Its been about a week and I defiantly made the right choice, extremely grateful for running in to Francisco and doing business with him and the Kirby Subaru team!

Bob is a wonderful person. My husband and I went in looking for a Subaru Crosstrek, however we needed to see if they would take over our 2015 vehicle payments. Bob was the greatest. He looked into it and spoke with other staff members and worked out a deal that was so smooth and not complicated. I was so happy! We finally got the vehicle we had wanted for some time. We bought our first new car in 13 years, from Robert Papandrea at Kirby Subaru, a couple of weeks ago. It truly was the best experience we've ever had purchasing a car. We were wary, our last experience purchasing a new car was not pleasant. But Robert is a man of his word. We got exactly the car we wanted, even with additions and extended warranty, it was within our price range.....not the usual "oh crap, how are we going to afford this" feeling afterwards.

Alex was one of the most easy going salesman I have ever worked with. Professional, kind, real , and thorough. Alex has the customers best interest in mind and had a way of conducting business that kept myself away from any stress and/or uneasy feelings. I would and will recommend Alex to my friends and family who are in the market for a car and ware trying to do so with someone who truly values a persona to person humane line of business. Within 48 hours of walking into Kirby Subaru I was off in my new car without sweating the small stuff or having any second thought on the purchase thanks to Alex. My wife and I recently visited Kirby Subaru Saturday, 04/23/16, and are glad to say our experience was exceptional. Francisco is a very honest man and down to earth. We were probably at the dealership negotiating our 2015 Subaru Forester for two to three hours which felt like a long time to me, but in reality it was probably due to me being stern on my financial expectations. However, in the end, Francisco gave us a very low interest rate, a high trade in value for our 2010 Honda Civic and a monthly payment that when all said and done, was decent after a 100,000 mile 7 year bumper to bumper warranty plus gap insurance add on. He also threw in a complimentary oil change service. Francisco was very patient with me and my negotiating and I really felt he was doing the best he could for my family and I. Franciso if you're reading this, you're the man.

I bought a used car here 2 weeks ago and I was a first time buyer. I worked with Omar and he was extremely informative. He made sure I got the market value for my trade in. The bumper had some blemishes and he had it replaced at no additional cost to me. I tried to get a loan from a credit union, but soon discovered that financing through Kirby gave me the lowest rate. I wish I would have asked a few more questions about the details of the car. I assumed a 2013 model came equipped with cruise control, but found out while driving back to Santa Barbara that it in fact did not. Its a zippy car so lets hope I don't get any speeding tickets!

Bought a used car from them two weeks ago. Thought I'd have to drive to Los Angeles to get a good deal. Jeff Albrizzio was my salesman. Treated me very professionally. Didn't insult my intelligence with the typical negotiating tactics. Well run organization. Their financing guy was straightforward, above the board, and gave me a great rate. The only reason I didn't give their facility 4 out of 5 stars is that they don't have warm cookies like at some of the other dealerships. Bottom line is he gave me a great deal on a great used car with only 10k miles on it.

If I could give this dealership and Jordan French 6 stars, I would. Right from the start Jordan was polite, courteous, and professional. He also was not your typical pushy salesman, which I appreciated a lot. He understood that buying or leasing a new car is a big decision for a lot of people and I never felt pressured to make that decision right away. In fact, I took weeks and he didn't pester me like most dealerships would. Once I decided to pull the trigger on a 2016 Crosstrek lease, he told me to stop by when I could so he could show me the subtle differences between the 2015 and 2016. Jordan and the whole Kirby Subaru Team were super helpful in getting me the Crosstrek in the color I wanted as well. Before I even visited the dealership, JP spent a good amount of time answering my questions over the phone. We met the next day at the dealership and again, he happily spent time with me, answered all of my questions, and let me drive all the cars in which I had interest. I never felt rushed or pushed. I told him all of my needs and wants in a new car and he helped me find the just-right one. JP went out of his way to help me pick up my car the following day. Jeff Albrizzio met me outside, at once made me feel relaxed, no pressure and that is the number one reason I went back. When i did go back Jeff was there to show me the car i wanted, within a couple of hours I was driving a new car. The entire sales and financial team were right on. Efficient and knowledgeable. I test drove an Outback and told the salesman, Bob Thacker, that I wasn't ready to buy a car for a few months. At the time, I said I was interested in a car a couple of years old with low mileage. He said he understood and was very helpful in answering my questions about the Outback. He texted me a couple of times to let me know that he had some used Outbacks that I might be interested in. When I returned 3 months later with my husband, I told Bob I wanted to look at new 2016 Outbacks. We drove a couple of them and talked about what kind of options I wanted. I was lucky they had just what I wanted and we bought the car that day. I felt absolutely no pressure to buy that day and I felt it was a good value. Bob was very knowledgeable about the Outback and went over all of the features with me -- and there were a lot! Even so, Bob was willing to spend as much time as we needed. Overall, a great experience!

If you live in Santa Barbara or Ventura counties, you don't have to go to the big Los Angeles area dealerships to find the exact vehicle you are looking for at the right price. First I was impressed with the selection of vehicles in their inventory. Then later on in my car shopping process I was even more impressed with the relaxed, low pressure attitude of the entire staff at Kirby. Sales consultant Francisco Vazquez was very patient and accommodating. Over the course of a week I changed the details of the deal we were putting together several times. Throughout the entire process Francisco remembered acurately and honored every detail that we had discussed verbally and through email. I really appreciate an honest salesperson who knows when to slow down, invest some time, and let the product sell itself. DJ Williams in finance was also a pleasure to work with. My impression of finance guys from past experiences is that they are mostly high pressure undercoating and warranty salesmen. DJ is very customer oriented and he took the time to make sure all the details were right for my needs. In the end I got exactly the car I wanted, in the color I wanted, with all the features I wanted, and for a very reasonable price. Thanks!

Alex Iker is a dedicated salesman chipped from a block of professionalism. Alex kept in contact with me through out the whole buying process of my car. He is so dedicated he moved his vacation over 1 day to accomadate me and my wife so we could purchase our car. He was not like your typical salesman he was straight to the point and when i came in to do the deal he showed me numbers i liked. The staff was not to pushy. When i received my car he gave me the ins and outs of my car. Alex was a subject matter expert on Subarus. At other dealerships i have been to when purchasing vehicles they had to pull the owners guide to give me the info i wanted.

Ted Tretter provided an education on Subaru vehicles along with friendly, courteous and patient salesmanship. Originally I had come in to drive a Forrester. Ted asked me many questions about my needs in a new car and we also test drove a Crosstrek. It turned out that I liked the Crosstrek which was more suited to my needs. I did not intend to purchase or lease a car that day; but Ted was great and the car was really nice, so I leased the Crosstrek. Ted also located a cargo net for me and personally brought it to my home so I did not have to drive back to Ventura. Wonderful service! Great car! I would definately buy from Kirby Subaru of Ventura again.

I Just Purchased a 2016 Wrx Sti from Francisco Vazquez, and when I initially went to Kirby Subaru that day it was just for an oil change on my 2014 Subaru BRZ. He was easily approachable, and worked a miracle to get me this car. I strongly recommend anyone considering purchasing a new vehicle to go to Kirby Subaru and speak to Francisco Vazquez, honestly couldn't have asked for anything more from him and Kirby Subaru. They have all the new cars, and many to choose from. They even waived my service fees for the car I traded in, and made the experience a lot better then my previous purchases from other dealerships. i just purchased my first Subaru from Alex Iker today. Alex treated me with respect, humor and was a pleasure to deal with. The last thing you want to do is cut a check to someone who treats you like a first time buyer who has never been through the process before. He also helped me differentiate between the Forrester and Outback - obviously they look different but it was good to know the other differences. JP in the finance department was also great - he explained the benefits of the 7 yr/100k service warranty in detail. If you're going to buy a Subaru, you really need to hear about all it offers! Kirby is a family owned company, and you can tell. Go see Alex when you visit Kirby.

I bought my Subaru Outback here last week and had a great experience with Juan Amaro and later Howard Korey. I explained what I wanted and what price I had in mind. We decided that a custom order from the factory would be the best choice. When it came to the cars options we discussed each one and if I declined it there was no pressure to change my mind. The car was even delivered 2 weeks early!! I have had the car for 1 month now and it is better than I had hoped. No regrets at all.

The time had come to retire my 2006 Subaru STi as the daily driver, I've had my eyes on the XV since it came out and I knew that it was something I wanted in the future. This past week, I finally pulled the trigger and bought a brand new 2015 Tangerine Orange Pearl XV Limited at Kirby Subaru of Ventura. I was in the market for a new car and initially went to a couple of dealerships in SB and Ventura, which were both overbearing and underwhelming. My third and final stop was Kirby Subaru. I saw the Forester and CrossTrek and immediately became interested in both. The salesman, Ted Tretter, then approached and was completely honest, open and not at all pushy as many salesman are inclined to be. He let the cars do the selling and was incredibly knowledgeable and upfront whenever I had technical questions, including advanced mechanics (eg. the Continuously Variable Transmission or CVT). Everyone that I interacted with at this dealership was honest, professional and upfront. I ended up going with a Forester and am incredibly happy with my decision. Rest assured that if you are looking for a car at this dealership that you will not be subject to any of the notorious salesman ploys, which was definitely a welcome breath of fresh air for me.

I went to Kirby to lease a new Subaru. This is my third one ('92 Loyale Wagon; 2001 Forester). Based on ratings in Consumer Reports I was interested in a 2015 Forester but wanted to compare an Outback or Crosstrek. I was ably assisted by Alex Iker, who knew the vehicles from top to bottom. I negotiated a lease on a new Forester and believe I got a fair deal. Alex was very personable. He did not give me a hard sell. DJ in financing also was straightforward and informative. If you're a first-time new car buyer, and you're interested in Subaru, then I would strongly recommend going to Kirby, and if possible working with Francisco Vazquez. My girlfriend and I had done all our research and due diligence, but we were still quite apprehensive about our first new car shopping and buying experience. All we wanted was a good deal on a car that we both liked, and I'm happy to report that this is exactly what Francisco and his team at Kirby's delivered. Francisco was very easy to talk to and allowed us to test drive, think about our decision, find the right buying price, and finalize our deal at our own pace. Meanwhile, we were being swamped with telephone calls and emails from other dealers. Francisco by contrast, was straightforward and to-the-point, but without the pressure. Another thing I liked about Francisco was that he didn't try to complicate the buying process with random numbers and calculations. Even though my girlfriend and I were first time buyers, and neither of us car experts, we never felt like we were lost during the process. Also, finance manager, DJ Williams and, sales manager, John French were great. John helped to secure the car we wanted (it wasn't on the lot). After the deal was done, Francisco and his team were very keen on ensuring our satisfaction with our purchase and overall experience. This is an operation that values its reputation and wants to make good deals on good cars, along with good impressions on the people who buy them.

From the 1st time my wife and I walked on the lot a few weeks ago, until we bought the car a few days ago, Francisco was very helpful, patient, and courteous. We finally bought my wife the 2015 Forester Premium after the 3rd trip to the dealership over a 2 week period. Francisco was very professional and patient the entire time. Kirby Collision Center was highly rated by AAA, so it was my first choice for body work repair. Even though my car appeared to have just a cosmetic dent from someone backing into the rear door and quarter panel of my car, I wanted to be sure there was no damage to the rear axle or anything else that could cause problems later. The Kirby shop did a thorough assessment and estimate, working closely with my insurance agent to keep me informed of the progress of the project. The work done at Kirby Collision Center was excellent! When I picked my car up, the Center manager Scott Ferguson explained the details of what had been done - the work was flawless! I couldn't be happier with the outcome of this project. I would recommend this shop to anyone in need of car repairs.

We have been looking to add a car to our family that would serve to take us biking, skiing, paddleboarding, and be comfortable to boot. After much research we decided that car would be a Subaru mainly to to their longevity on the road, the visibility , the head and leg room, the racking system, and the all important safety record. I drove to Kirby Subaru which was a bit down the road for me but so worth the trip. As a women, so many dealerships have sales teams that think that we do not understand what we want. This experience could not have been more different. Francisco Vazquez saw me peering at the very well stocked lot and came to answer any questions that I might have. He was patient, knowledgable, and never tried to push me to look at any extras and steer me to any car. He simply listened ~ as I would ask for comparisons, he would show me. Never any pressure to convince me to like anything. Just showed me the way as I asked. Once we found what I wanted, he and Howard Korey, the sales manager, took me in to talk numbers. We came up with a deal that both sides were thrilled about. By far and away, the most pleasurable experience in car buying I have ever been involved with and this was my 7th experience. Then DJ in finance went over each and every option with me including the warranty options to be sure I was making the wisest decision possible. He had my best interest in mind without a doubt. It's almost Valentine's Day and I've been lovin' my Subaru for 4 months now. I wanted, but could not find, a manual transmission Impreza that was blue with white interior. My stick-shift Saturn was getting old and I was looking for a similar-sized car. Bob Thatcher showed me a jasmine green-colored car with white interior (blue came only with black) and I loved the color. My friends have commented positively on the color, too. After some searching (no manuals on this lot and not many in the LA area), Bob found my car and brought it to Kirby the next day. With his vast knowledge of cars , Bob could tell me how the Impreza compared to my Saturn. Before I drove off in my new car, he did a thorough job of making sure I knew how everything worked. He also introduced me to the service department. He keeps in touch, but not in a pushy way. That, and gentle service reminders, also help me feel like Subaru really cares about people being happy with their car.

This by far was the best automobile purchase. Scott Glen in the internet sales department was awesome. He is extremely knowledgeable and straight to the point. He made my car buying experience a pleasure with no pressure to purchase. I researched the car, test drove it, and emailed Scott an offer. I have been shopping for a new car for a while now and have been to many different retailers, so I knew I needed a battle plan when coming here. I had a great one planned too. I was going to pretend to walk off the lot, low ball every price they throw at me, lean back in my chair and whisper, etc. I know what you are thinking, "Wow! This guy is a real Michael Scott negotiator!" Well, thank you sir. You are a gentleman and a scholar. Anyways, back to the reason we are, the people of Kirby Subaru. Well, right of the bat I my battle plan was ruined when I was memorized by the cars on the lot. Well, I can still low ball every ridiculously high price they throw at me until I get a reasonable offer. Thanks to Alex Iker that plan was ruined as well. Right away he helped me make an informed decision on a car based on my price range and need. He didn't even try to sell me anything I didn't want or need. He worked with me to find the perfect car, and then when it came to actually buy and negotiate the price it was painless. Doesn't he know the process is suppose to be grueling and not quick and painless. Everything I thought I knew about buying a car was thrown out the window. I didn't even get a chance to use my battle plan, but I still got the car I wanted at an amazing price thanks to Alex Iker.

We had gone to Kirby online to look at used cars for my 17 year old daughter. Of course she has a very specific type of vehicle she wanted and we found 3 possibilities. We made an appointment to test drive. Pour salesman was Jordan French. My daughter's father was with us and he asks a whole lotta questions and Jordan knew all the answers. He was very knowledgeable about the vehicles . He was friendly, and not in the least bit pushy. We ended up selecting a 2011 Subaru Outback. My husband and I had been researching and looking for crossovers and SUVS for quite a while. We have 2 young boys so I have been wanting a car that has a little more space. We had been looking into Dodge, and Subaru. When we went to Dodge to look at the Journey and Durango, we were pretty bummed that they wouldn't work with us and give us a deal on something. A couple of days later we went to Kirby Subaru and was greeted by Alex Iker. He definitely was informative, and didn't make us feel pressured into anything. We bought a 2015 Outback and couldn't be more pleased with our experience. Sales consultant Bob Thacker was very helpful and knowledgable about the vehicle. Everyone we encountered was friendly and courteous. The dealership was clean with a nice showroom and plenty of cars to choose from. Even coming to an agreement on the price was pretty painless. This by far was the most pleasant and least stressful car buying experience we have ever had. We love our new car and would highly recommend Kirby Subaru of Ventura.

Purchased a 2015 Forrester on 9/21/2015 (3 days ago). Worked with Scott Glen,their internet purchasing manager. I give him 5 stars. He was very knowledgeable about all aspects of the vehicles of interest (Forrester and Outback). He was: efficient in preparing the purchasing paperwork; followed the vehicle through the preparation process to insure it was completed in a timely manner; inspected the vehicle for damage before delivering it; and sat in the vehicle with us for 45 minutes going over how everything works. New cars today are very complex. I felt Kirby Subaru in general and Scott in particular were trying very hard to improve the customer's experience by eliminating the frustration of trying to figure out how to operate all the bells and whistles in the vehicle on your own ( The owners manual is about 250 pages long). All the staff that I encountered at Kirby were professional, knowledgeable, and low key (no pressure). DJ in the finance department was another example of that. I give Kirby Subaru of Ventura five stars as well. Having said that, I give Subaru's corporate marketing department three stars. They made some strange limitations to the vehicle configurations resulting in substantial buyer frustration. For example I wanted a turbo engine and my wife did not want a black interior in Southern California. Subaru only offers turbo engines in cars with black interiors??? A second point of frustration was that once we settled on a configuration that Subaru did make there were none to be found in California. That may have been a timing issue trying to purchase a new model car the month they were introduced. Subaru makes a very nice car. The next time I buy one I will plan the process so I can wait the six to eight weeks to get the exact car I want.

I bought my 2015 Subaru from Kirby Subaru about two weeks ago. I was thoroughly impressed how they dealt with me and worked with me to get the price I was willing to pay on their first delivery of the 2015 outbacks. Karina Desiderio, who I was working with for a few weeks was patient and helped us come to a deal and I love the car. I've already offered her name up to a friend looking to buy an Outback soon. I had been to a few more Subaru dealers to find the right deal, but the reception wasn't as warm and way more pushy elsewhere. I know most dealers want to get you in and drive off the lot that day with a new car, I prefer to consider it overnight (or days) to make sure it's the one I want, and both Kirby Subara and Karina didn't push in any way that turned me off returning. Great job guys!

I left repairs blank because it hasn't been an issue yet.I just got a new 2013 Subaru Forester on sunday. I'm THRILLED with the car (I've always been enamored with the idea of owning a Subaru, now I get to say I have one!!!), and the salesman (John French) was friendly, very patient, and relatable and easy going--making the process very painless for me. I would absolutely refer anyone looking to purchase or lease a new car. Years down the road I can see myself being a repeat customer.
