I purchased my first Land Rover yesterday from the Land Rover Northfield Location. It was a busy night for them with a charity function, but that did not stop them for making me feel comfortable during the entire process. I had done some research on the Land Rover Discovery, but still had many questions. Joe Fuentes spent a lot of time explaining everything to me along with taking me a test drive with two different vehicles to make sure I was looking at the one I really wanted. I was nervous, but everyone from the General Manager to the Financing manager put all my nerves at ease. The car was not available that evening and they even delivered it to me today at work! I can't wait to drive my first Land Rover. Joe, Rocky and Elaina were great to work with! It was an A++ Experience!! THANK YOU!!

I was thoroughly impressed with Land Rover Northfield from the moment I walked in. We live in the city and our experience here was well worth the drive up. Brian Black was our salesman and while we only came up to test drive that day, we ended up with a new car in the garage that afternoon. He was knowledgable and friendly while answering our many questions. In the end, he did not pressure us and we felt very comfortable in choosing to make the purchase of our Range Rover.Even the paperwork process was painless and we were out of the finance office in 25 minutes. We could not have asked for a better experience overall and highly recommend them.

Old bait and switch?I was in the market for 2017 Land rover Evoque SE Premium. After searching around for a few days I was contacted by Ron (internet sales Consultant) from Land Rover Northfield. He confirmed that they have a car in stock which meets my requirements (stock#17003) and e-mail me price quote for (44,195). This was few thousand lower than what I have seen anywhere in the state, just to be on the safe side I called and had him and a sales person (Alex) confirm car is there with options we are looking for before I drive over an hour away to get the car, once we got there and looked at the car it was SE not SE premium (less options in this model). At this point Alex sincerely apologized as he had no idea of the price and model listed for this car on the website, we were still willing to buy the car we wanted and wait for the car but Kyle (Finance manager) wouldnt even take 2K off the cars MSRP 50K to make the deal. Not sure if he was just trying to get out as it was closing time on the Saturday or just didnt give a crap but this is not the experience I would expect from a Land Rover dealer.

The service department here is top notch. We had a great time buying our Range Rover Sport here a while back, from Andrew and Ballard, who are great salespeople. And the service experience has been just as good. We live in Chicago and were initially hesitant to buy outside the city, because we wanted to have the car serviced where we bought it, but we did not want to travel to Northfield. With advance planning, to make servicing and maintenance easier, Fields has regularly provided us with car pickup and drop-off in Chicago, with a loaner to boot. Chris C. is an understanding service manager with a good "bedside manner" -- he knows his cars and has helped diagnose issues over the phone. He is on call and available to us when we need him. And when I felt that the steering had lost some of its sporty feel, Bollard (in sales) helped out and took the car for an extensive drive, because he knew from sale how I liked to drive the car hard and get the best performance out of it. Bollard and Chris and the service department were then able to figure out the intermittent issue and fix it. My wife and I have been very pleased in all of our service interactions with Fields. World class.

Recently bought A 2006 BMW 325XI at Fields Land Rover- Jay Gerdes was my salesman. The whole process was a breeze. Jay explained over the phone how I could go on line and apply for financing before I came in and test drove the car. When I came in to see the car, the dealership was Immaculate and my soon to be car outside was so beautiful. Jay had it detailed and ready to go. The car drove wonderfully and I wanted it. Disclaimer, I know we all want to eat at the end of the deal, meaning the Bank, dealership, and the sales guy get their money, and I walk out not over my budget when paying my monthly note.Pros- Right away, everything was just about perfect. Very friendly and professional environment, my sales guy for the day pretty much catered to my needs. Basically, all the main motions you go thru were covered ie: greeting, the test drive all prepared, water offers, etc. I will also add that he wasn't the pressure type either, he even offered me to take the car to a local shop to have it checked out again before purchasing.Cons: First low ball offer was 1,500 for a 06 Toyota Avalon. I knew it would be a low offer the first time, but $1500?, 170k miles is high, but not that high to resale. I was also told about the recondition costs,? really? My car was/is not trash, I wouldn't even think to trade in a car if I honestly knew that my car was even worth that. Such an insult though. From that point I got caught up in the money game and off my focus to really go for that fair deal. I even had all my maintenance history. The appraisal was a joke too, might I add, because nobody never truly appraised it. I just gave my keys to my sales guy and that was it. The "eye" test is real annoying. I know its about the most money they want to make, its never about the real deal. While waiting for the loan approval, I was told the "lenders system" was down. I waited an extra half-hour to give system "fix time" then I left. Of course I got the "we will follow up" because they didn't know how long the system was going to be down. The follow up never happened, so I had to call 2 days later and then I was told that I couldn't get approved. Basically, the loan was too low for them to make money off of me, and what was so sad, if it came down to it, I had a few grand to pretty much put down, but once the integrity of the negotiating left, I had no interest of spending my money there. I don't or didn't come in feeling entitled, I just wanted to beat the myths of bad dealerships. Now, they are not bad like avoid, but for that day, it was bad. Two days later and I still feel it, so I had to write my review.

I have been patronizing Fields for over 10 years and I can say without hesitation that all of my experiences with them have been fantastic. I purchased my 1st Range Rover from them 9 years ago, the vehicle was flawless for almost 10 years, it just required basic maintenance. When it was time for a new truck I headed right back to Fields. I just traded my 1st car in and purchased a new one from Fields because frankly they're the best! They went above and beyond to make sure that I was satisfied, specifically Joe Fuentes, Ralph & Rocky Elli all worked together to make the trade-in and buying process as easy as possible! Any issues that came up were very quickly resolved and I honestly believe that Fields Landrover cared about me and my business. Buying a new car is nerve wrecking enough but with the Fields staff you can rest assured that you will get a great deal and be treated fairly with the utmost honestly and integrity. Called ahead to set up a day and time to test drive a specific new range rover sport to make sure they had model I was looking for. When I got there the sales guy was told by the manager told him they only had the one car in the showroom and unless I was ready to sit down and make a purchase that day he wasn't going to get it out for a test drive. Said the demand was too high. Who buys a car without driving it first? Don't waste my time telling me to come out if you are not prepared to show me the car. What a lack of respect. Manager never got his xxx up from the chair to even talk to me. Went to Orloff in Chicago and purchased the car the next day after being treated like a valued customer and given some respect. Would not recommend the dealer to anyone with so many other options available.

I had arrived late on a Friday night to see 2 vehicles that I saw on their website and the Salesman, Ralph,was good enough to stay and take the time to show me the vehicles and take a test ride when he actuallycould have said, "Sorry the dealership is closed." But he did NOT do that and I spent 2 hours there and ended up purchasing the Range Rover from him. When I picked the vehicle up and traded my vehicle in,the process and the people at Land Rover Winnetka could not have been nicer! I had been to a different dealer prior to this to test drive a Range Rover and was not treated anywhere near as well as I was at Winnetka with Ralph. I highly recommend you visit Land Rover Winnetka and see Ralph!!

This service center has always been first class in service,ease,great employees and courteous!I had a Range Rover some years ago and then switched to another type of car. Now, 8 years later I am back in A Range Rover and was looking forward to the "treatment" I would get when coming in for service. Each person you have contact with is professional and helpful. No question I ask about the car (and I have asked some simple ones ie. where do I find the mileage) do they make you feel uncomfortable -actually the opposite.Can't say enough great things - honestly!

We found their blue '08 Toyota Land Cruiser online and after calling to inquire about it, we set up an appointment for Wednesday. When we got there, the car was in the back up on a hoist with no tires or rims so we couldn't test drive it.That's when we met Joe the Manager. We sat down with Ballard Holdren and Joe to discuss a deal and Joe offered it us for 1,000 below list and gave us a retail order form. We insisted on giving a deposit but they wouldn't accept one. ?? Strange ?? This is where everything started to seem VERY FISHY. They told us to come back Thursday but when we got there and after test driving it, Ballard again came up with some excuse to not sell us the car that day. Apparently it needed alignment. Again we insisted that this was the car we were buying and that we wanted to put a deposit down, but AGAIN Ballard insists that it wasn't necessary and promised the car was MINE and to come back tomorrow. So Friday we again pack the kids and go to the dealership. This is when we met Ed to finish the deal. He was SO EXTREMELY RUDE and behaved less like a car salesman and more like an UNEDUCATED BULLY. He was so unprofessional and DISRESPECTFUL. We walked out of there in disbelief. These types of characters shouldn't be working in customer service.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Brian Black and the service team at Land Rover Winnetka. I have been driving a Range Rover for over 10 years, and one of the main reasons I continue to buy Range Rovers is because of the incredible service I recieve at this location. Land Rover Winnetka goes above and beyond necessary customer service. They treat everyone that walks in there, including my 4 children, with respect and kindness. They are always available to answer any questions I have for them and are also very prompt in their service turnaround.

Went in looking to price trading in a Benz E550 for a Range, got a cursory hello when i walked in from a passing employee but no one asked if i needed help, if i needed to talk to anyone. Spent about 10 min walking around and looking at various new and used models, taking photos, reading window sticker sand comparing prices and options of what was there. Still no service! If your a younger (20s) buyer, they dont think your serious, or worth their time apparently!

I brought my Rover into this dealership to be serviced and they took over a month and a half to contact me; I don't know any service department that takes this long to report back to their customers. In addition, I had a wedding gift in the backseat that was ripped open. I called and voiced this to the manager and he said he was sorry which I appreciated but still it was a very very disappointing experience all around, with the exception of the manager who I thought was very nice.

I found the personnel here to be very smug. They kept telling me that they were so great and their customer service was so fantastic and how everyone loves them. It was all too much. I also didn't find them very accommodating to what I needed in terms of timing and structure. Finally, when it came to price, they gave me a number and then wouldn't budge. I went to another dealer and got the same car for a slightly better price. It was, however, more inconvenient for me. They threatened that if I bought the car at another dealer then they couldn't offer me the same level of service as those who purchased directly from them. Of course, Field's has every right to sell cars at whatever price they want, but as a customer I wouldn't expect to get the sharpest pricing here. Not the best pricing and lots of attitude. Really the opposite of the family atmosphere described in the other posts.

I had a great experience with the people at Land Rover Winnetka. I recently was in the market for a certified Range Rover Sport. I identified several on the North Shore that fit my initial criteria. I reached out to Land Rover Winnetka and spoke with Ballard (a salesperson) and not only did he tell me about the car I asked about, but let me know about a car that they had just received (which was the vehicle I ultimately purchased). I left for a family vacation for a week and upon my return called Ballard. He remembered our previous conversations and invited me to test drive the car. I came in and bought the Sport that day. My objective was a hassle free, fair and quick negotiation. In this, Land Rover Winnetka excelled. Everyone from the manager to the finance department to the people I was introduced to in service were terrific. I would not hesitate to buy from this dealership again.

My husband was looking for a clean, low mile, used 6 series BMW coupe and wefound one on the internet at Land Rover Winnetka. Ballard took our call and was a joy to work with. He answered all my husbands questions, sent us pictures, took my brother for a test ride (He lives in Chicago, we live in PA). Took a minimum deposit,picked my husband up at the airport on his day off and drove him to the dealership and waited with my husband until the sale was completed. He then filled the car up with gas as my husband was driving back to PA. He called the next day to see if my husband liked the car and if there were any problems. My husband told him there was no manual for the car and the front floor mats were generic and not factory BMW. Ballard said he would take care of this.Within a week we had a new manual and a complete set of BMW floormats. We have purchased several cars, boats, and motorcycles over the years but havenever had a salesman or dealership treat us with this much TLC. We will considerLand Rover Winnetka first the next time we need to purchase a car.Thanks again Ballard!!

Friendly service, very accommodating. I love the mom and pop atmosphere, everyone treats you like family. I like that they perform a complimentary vehicle inspection on every visit. We were going on a trip and went in for an oil change and tire rotation. They found we had a coolant leak and addressed it promptly.
