Recently moved to Washington state, so this was the first time at Liberty Bay Auto. Absolutely a great bunch of people. Since we had to wait for an hour for our repair, we were able to see many interactions with other customers as well, from service to used car sales. You could see right away that these customers have been coming to Liberty Bay Auto for years, as they were on first name basis with the employees. This confirmed to me that they received (as I did) honest, capable and affordable service. Liberty Bay Auto certainly has another new, life long customer in me. I feel very lucky to have chosen them for the very first car repair since moving to Washington.

We bought a car there a year ago. Recently, I tried replacing a (xenon) headlight and couldn't get it reconnected correctly. They said to just bring it on in that day, and then they fixed it without any charge. Pretty sure that would not have happened at our previous car dealer. (One year later...) The car was leaking fluid so I brought it in. The estimate was disappointingly high, as an axle needed replaced. But they got the work done sooner than expected and much cheaper than estimated. Gotta love that! Still 5 stars. :)

Sean in the automotive maintenance area was phenomenal! He did a diagnostic on an older vehicle of mine that unfortunately would cost a great deal to repair. Basically, more than the car was worth. Liberty Bay allowed me to store the car on the lot without charging me storage until the salvage company could tow it. I then had purchased a Mercedes and had LB do an oil change. Sean did a thorough inspection of my vehicle in addition to the oil change. He was informative. Always, kept in touch with what was going on with my old car and recommendations on my new car. That thankfully only requires oil changes at this point. I have also worked with Kevin Hogan in the past who has great communication and provides excellent customers service. I couldn’t be happier with Liberty Bay and I will never take my cars or my families cars anywhere else! Thank you Sean and Liberty Bay crew!

We got the express detail on both of our cars. From booking the appointment to picking up the cars, the entire process was effortless and so convenient. The cars looked great, too. My only feedback, I'd pay a bit more for a quick wipe down of the interior. I was sad to come back to paw prints on my leather seats. The car didn't feel completely clean.

Renee was amazing!! We went in today a little gun shy after a bad experience at west hills yesterday and the atmosphere at Liberty Bay is so different. Everyone is so warm and caring, Renee took the time to listen to what we wanted and what we were willing to pay and worked so hard to get us there. The family friendly vibe was amazing, we brought our two month old with us and everyone was interacting with her and nobody batted an eye when she got fussy. We will without a doubt come back when we need a new vehicle again.

I've now bought a car and had a car serviced here. I usually hate buying cars but the sales people here are pretty descent folks. The service department is where they really impressed me. This is what good service is all about. My car had a real tricky problem that wouldn't go away so I brought it to liberty bay and they fixed me right up. I got a loaner car for the whole time my car was in the shop. They got it fixed quickly, when the check engine light unfortunately came back on the next day but they totally stood behind their work and took good car of me and my car. Got me back in the loaner car and then went the extra mile to to make sure the car was fixed right. After it was fixed they asked if it was ok for them to hang on to the car for another couple of days so they could test it in various situations to make sure the problem didn't come back again. I was cool with the loaner car so it was no problem. Eric and Bob were my main contacts and they were both fantastic to work with. This is one of the rare shops that makes you feel happy that you had to get work done on your car. Keep it up guys!

Five stars. They were quick, helpful, and you can't beat the free wash and vacuum they give you with an oil change. Got a list of things to look at in the future (shocks, struts might need to be replaced in a few thousand miles, etc), and they have a great waiting area with coffee, hot chocolate, and soda. Warm atmosphere, friendly people.

One of Liberty Bays mottos is: The friendliest car store on the planet. These arent just empty words. My experience there showed this to be absolutely true. Excellent customer service that truly goes above and beyond and isnt just about trying to sell you more (Think: fast food restaurants) can be a rarity nowadays. Of course, Liberty Bay wants to sell you a car, but moreover, they want you to be happy and satisfied in your purchase and to really make the customer feel comfortable and cared for even. Little things like offering free bottles of water on a hot day or popcorn to munch on as you wait, go a long way toward making the customer feel special, and taken care of, and as result of being treated this way, one ultimately wants to buy a car from them. I also love the retro decor. Its a cool, unique place to hang out, as well as shop for a car.I was very lucky to have Denise Hulsey as my sales representative. she made sure I was well-informed and happy, and I never felt pressured to buy the car; I wanted to buy it. Throughout the two-day car buying process, she continually went above and beyond. For example, on the first day when I came to check out the 2012 Honda Fit (and didnt buy it), when I mentioned I needed to catch the bus home to Silverdale, she arranged to have their shuttle driver (the amiable and vivacious, Nicky) drive me home. The next day, she called me and asked if I was still interested in the car. I had informed her that my dad in California was going to lend me the money, so she offered to speak to my dad and explain everything and put his mind at ease, which she did. When we decided to buy the car that evening, she picked me up near my apartment in Silverdale and drove me to Liberty Bay. By the way, she did all this on her day off! She had informed me about needing to make an appointment to replace the airbag (Takata recall). Knowing I was going to be in a training seminar all day, she offered to call Honda dealerships and set up the requisite appointment (or to at least see about a timeline for repair). Again she kept me informed, reporting back to me what she learned. As I write this, she is still helping me with the appointment process, and I have already signed the paperwork. Denise has been taken complete care of me throughout this whole process, and shes a prime example of Liberty Bays stellar customer service.Finally, Jeremy Dogeagle was also very helpful in helping me and informative in helping me set up the financing for my new used car. If youre in Kitsap County, Washington or any other county for that matter and youre in the market for a dependable used car and you want fantastic customer service, I can't recommend Liberty Bay enough.

My car got toasted in a car crash, I had to look for new wheels. I dont particularly enjoy car shopping, its time consuming and one never knows how it will turn out. I have read in blogs that some dealers have changed the deal (the price agreed) at signing time. But it had to be done. I drove from Woodinville to Kirkland, to Lynnwood to Seattle to Puyallup, same issue, cant answer a simple question:What is the best you can do, what is the rock bottom price for the car Im interested in? Replying with a silly smirk on their face was, well what are you prepared to offer? Bloody xxxx, mind games!Then I saw the car I wanted, in Poulsbo, WA. I called, asked the same question, and BOOM I got the answer. I took the ferry over to Poulsbo, ended up being later than I thought, still doors wide open, car parked in front, AC on, waiting for me, NICE!Met Kevin, took the car for a spin, all good, got the paperwork done, they filled it with gas, they even filled my rental with gas! We dropped the rental off, I was on my way home, DONE! If you are looking for above average service, common sense and curtesy Liberty Bay is the place to go. Ask for Kevin, he will take care of everything. No stress, no dumb xxx questions they do what they say will do and more. It was a stress less experience, just how it should be.

Was really pleased with my first experience at this dealership. Carol who helped me before stayed in touch and let me know whenever a vehicle that for my needs came in. About 6 months later returned to purchase a vehicle and same people I dealt with before no longer worked there and the employees dealt with the second time around were difficult to work with. When I left I was told to be careful becaus my current vehicle was unsafe to drive. Was this a sale tactic? Not sure. I'm glad I went elsewhere.

The team at Liberty Bay Auto Center is amazing. I had an incident where a mattress flew off the vehicle in front of me on the 3, then became lodged under my car. A few minor damages occurred so I dropped in at Liberty Bay Auto Center to see if they could quickly take a look. I didn't have much time as I was running to a meeting, however Tom Diefendorf and Mike Vild immediately assisted me. They confirmed that the damages were minor, which was a huge relief, and quickly made some fixes to put pieces back into place so I could get back on the road.

I recently moved to the area and was looking for a mechanic to service my 10 year old Subaru. My wife dropped the car off. Ross went out of his way to listen to my wife. He respectfully and patiently walked her through all the repairs. They set her up my wife with an espresso as she waiting for a very friendly driver pick to her up and drive her back to our home on Bainbridge. Ross' team was able to resolve a few other nagging issues that have plagued us for years. It almost seemed my last mechanic failed to make a few repairs because - being a compact car - were not very easy to fix. Ross kept me updated throughout the process. Great experience. I will certainly support this business however I can.

We called ahead on a vehicle we were looking at and Derek took our call. He is very polite on the phone and set up a time for us to come in and drive. Derek gave us a fantastic test drive and even let us take the car to our mechanic. The car checked out perfectly, we negotiated a fair deal and we were down the road in no time. While we were signing papers Derek took the car and put a full take of gas in and even brought us back sandwiches for dinner as we told him we were hungry. I couldn't believe his level of customer service. We will for sure be back in the future!

The folks that work for this wonderful family owned dealership honestly care about you and your experience with them. Many employees have been there over 20 years. That says a lot about the way the owners treat their employees. I had my car detailed and it came back looking almost new. Great job. We bought a used vehicle also and it looks brand new yet is a 2013. I have been bringing my Hyndai Sonata into Liberty Bay Auto for it's routine maintenance since purchasing it from them 3 years ago. It usually takes about an hour and costs just under $40, which includes a quick wash and vacuum job as well. I don't mind their waiting room; it is stocked with cold sodas, coffee and tea and free wi-fi. But today there were no little packaged snacks, which do help make the time go by faster. The service staff could be friendlier, they are no-nonsense and to the point. But the cashier girls are always friendly and cheerful. All of which to say, it's a fine place to trust your car to.

Wanted to say "Thank You" to Kevin and the Liberty Bay Team. We had located a 2012 Dodge Grand Caravan in Kirkland but live in Suquamish and didn't want to travel there to negotiate a deal. And we were in a time crunch to get a new van as we were leaving on vacation with the van in 9 days. Kevin negotiated to buy the van from the Kirkland dealer at the out-of-pocket cost we would have had to pay and sent someone from Liberty Bay to pick it up so we could review it. First they rechecked out the van in the shop and declared it worthy of their own warranty. After the sale we needed the title and plates in a hurry, a process that usually takes over a week, which we didn't have. Liberty Bay sent someone back to Kirkland and paid the dealer cash so they could get the clear title. The next day we had new license plates and a fantastic car, ready for the trip we were planning. Kevin kept in constant contact with us through the whole process so we new exactly how things were progressing. This is the third car we've bought from Liberty Bay and this type of service is why we keep coming back. Thank You Kevin and everyone again for the above and beyond efforts.

I bought a used MAzda pickup here. Great experience and on an older vehicle they were very picky about being sure it was all good to go service wise. I just returned for my first free oil change. They had me in and out in 35 minutes and also washed my car. Great dealer. I am 45 and have bought many used cars all over the country. This dealer is one of the best ever!! THANKS. bought my Hyundai Tuscon here about 10 years ago and they keep it running good as new...even install new tires that I order from a discount tire place back East since no one locally carries what I like. Great reminders of when to bring it in always on target cost-wise and great waiting while they do the quick stuff or a ride back home and pickup while they work on it for bigger jobs. Their used car selection is better than local dealers and they take care of them better than a "normal" dealer. Favorite sales person is Kevin.

I have been going to Liberty Bay Auto Center for years for service. Today I was in for the regular maintenance on my 2003 GMC Yukon. As always the staff was very friendly and helpful. They replaced some burned out marker lights that I wasn't aware were burned out. They even fixed my keyless remote that had stopped working for free. My vehicle was washed and cleaned and they even gave me a free shuttle ride to and from the service center to my home. The service staff treated me like a V.I.P. I will continue to bring my vehicle here for service.

My daughter, a Navy Nurse here in Poulsbo, has been high on the service at Liberty Bay Auto and will only take her Jeep there. I can see why! I just took my Jeep in for an oil change and was treated like a valued customer. Every person I came in contact with was pleasant and helpful, and truly cared that I was being properly taken care of. They didn't try to upset me to service I didn't need, and they even washed my car before returning it to me. They also have a wonderful showroom with a comfortable wait area. A wifi hotspot for my iPad, a cup of hot coffee with Vanilla creamer, what more could you ask for? Like my daughter, I am a Liberty Bay Auto junkie when it comes to my car!

Took my car to Liberty Bay Auto because my indicator panel said I need antifreeze and air in a tire. They got me in on a half hour's notice which was fantastic. When I picked up my car they had topped off the antifreeze, checked and filled all my tires, and washed and vacuumed my embarrassingly filthy car! On top of that, they didn't charge me for anything! Unbelievable! I have had very nice service here in the past and have been a fan, but honestly, this took it to a whole new level. It's funny, because the friend that picked me up while they were working on my car asked about their service and I told her it was great. After I picked up my car I had to email her and tell it was BEYOND great. Believe me, I will spread the word. Thanks for the truly outstanding service. I'll never go anywhere else.

I had my company vehicle serviced recently at Liberty Bay Auto Center. The technician took the liberty of rotating the tires. One of the wheel studs was damaged during this process. The service advisor informed me of this but didn't offer to replace the wheel stud. Should be have replaced it at no charge? Probably. Do this change my opinion of Liberty Bay Auto Center? No, they are a friendly knowledgeable group of people that care about what they do. I believe this is an isolated incident. I will return to for future service and car buying needs.

Well, I decided to buy my first car. With the purchase, included some work on the vehicle, of which I had done yesterday, well, I went on about an hour drive to do an earon, and the engine started to smoke (which it hadn't before). Turns out one of the gaskets they used failed, and had a leak. This could happen to anyone, but the original repair is only an hour job (said by several mechanic friends) and they had said it'd only be 1 day. It ended up being 2 full days before I got my vehicle back.

Liberty Bay Auto truly is an amazing car shop. I bought my son his first car there about 4 years ago. I was looking for something specific and they found it for me, and then they even delivered it to me (since I live quite a distance)! Since then, I've taken our Expedition there for repair when the transmission went out, and our other car for some regular service. I LOVE Liberty Bay Auto. My wife and I had a great experience buying a 2006 Jeep Commander from this dealership. In general, I do not enjoy buying cars, but working with Liberty Bay was much better than the average car dealership experience. They treated us fairly, did not employ ANY hard sell tactics and executed the sales transaction in a reasonable amount of time (i.e. we didn't sit there for 90 minutes waiting to see the finance manager). We talked to Paul on the phone before driving over to Poulsbo and they stood behind everything they agreed to on the phone. Then, we worked with Sean Green at the dealership and he was very helpful and pleasant to work with. He sent pictures of us with our new car and gave a personal touch to our purchasing experience.We got a fair price on the car. There are a couple of scratches on the car and I was hoping that they would have them touched up as a part of the purchase, but they decided to charge us for that. That was the only issue we had during the purchase process. Overall, I will reiterate that it was a great experience and we will definitely go back to Liberty Bay Auto Center the next time we are in the market for a used car.
