This is a company that does not have any respect for their customers, or themselves. With a company like this, the one and only thing on their mind is making money by any means necessary. They will lie, deceive, and say whatever they think you what and need to hear to sell the vehicle. When you inquire about a vehicle, they will lead you to believe that the online price is the best price (and they guarantee it). They will neglect to tell you that the price is packed with rebates and incentives that you will not even qualify for. Then they will start to drive up the price. Now, the trickery begins. They will try to get you to agree on a monthly payment that includes the inflated price of the vehicle, and try to make it look like they are doing you a favor. To add to this catastrophe they will have you sit at the desk for hours. This is done to wear you down, so you will just give up and purchase the over priced vehicle. By the time you get to the business office you are tired hungry, and just for this horrible experience to be over. And, this is the kicker. After this horrendous experience, the follow up is of low quality. If by chance they owe you any thing, it will take forever to get it resolved. There are hundreds of bad reviews for this dealership and they need to be taken seriously. If not, then you will need to go thought the bad experience so you can write your own bad review. Don't purchase a vehicle from this dealership for it is not worth the pain and aggravation.

I came to Lindsay Ford just looking for a reliable vehicle within my budget. I expected pushy salesman and difficult decisions. Maribel, my sales person, gave me options and freedom to view the cars I wanted with no "over the shoulder" crowding I'd expect when going to a big dealership. My questions were answered honestly and I was lucky enough that she walked me through everything when it came time to purchase my car. I got an amazing deal and was taken care of every step of the way! Thank you so much!

Lindsay does not stand by their vehicles. Vehicle was supposed to be certified. It was not. Spending $20,000 for a car and having to loose hours from work. Made several trips to get outstanding issue repair. They took care of the "Faulty Engine" light after 4 months. Refused to fix the warped rear rotors because it was not a safety issue. Can't drive the car at highway speeds because the shuddering of the brakes nearly sets the air bags off. They only care about the sale and not the customer. Wrecked my car when their for repairs. Poorly run operation.

I went in based on an online price. After waiting around for nearly two hours, I was told that because I wasn't a college student or military, they couldn't possibly honor the Internet price. Seems like an underhanded operation, I'm sad to say. I wouldn't bother shopping here unless you're able to pay cash for the whole vehicle.

Never ever consider this place as your choice of car purchase! They are extremely unprofessional bunch of scammers. Their business model based on attracting people with deceptive advertisement and trying to sell them then the worst deal of their life! They will do everything to lure you to their doors, including false low pricing of their cars and promises to get you a best deal in the area, but once you are sitting down with their financing manager - Ermias Kassaye - to talk money, he will do everything to try to inflate the price you would eventually pay. I wasted two trips to this horrible place just to get back to the point I started from. I was very clear in presenting my terms of leasing Ford Edge Sport I liked. They continuously tried to lure me to get their ridiculously inflated monthly payments without being transparent about pricing details such as residue value, agreed price and money factor. They kept changing numbers over and over again in attempt to confuse me with their ridiculous tricks - endless trips to the "manager" to try to get a better deal for me, playing dumb when I am asking them very simple questions and eventually after we have reached the final agreement and I signed preliminary contract and was about to take a car home the final act of this horror movie has started - they claimed they are not able to complete all the leasing paperwork today and asked me to come back next day. I have eventually came back after two days to complete the process and to pick up the car, which mysteriously disappeared from the spot they left it on for me, washed and ready to go, two days ago, but they started playing games again trying to increase my monthly payments by 15% claiming that my credit score does not qualify for their low APR. I just walked out promising myself never to be back EVER to this nest of fraudulent liars. I am intending to report their repelling practices to BBB On the positive side, their sales person - Cammeron was knowledgeable and professional. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere to buy a new car - there is plethora of Ford dealerships in DC area and beyond.

I really enjoyed my dealings with Mr. Avan Harris at Lindsay Ford. He was very patient and professional. He had lined up a few vehicles to show me and then showed me the gem that was hidden among the rest! I am very pleased with my purchase and his professionalism. The financial officer Ms Giron was also pleasant to deal with and made me feel very welcome at Lindsay Ford. I will definitely recommend Lindsay Ford to my friends!

I leased a vehicle on April 17, 2016. The worst decision that I have ever made. A friend recommended this dealership to me. I now question his judgement. I will say it starts at the top. If you have a issue with the service or issues in general. Whatever you do, do not place a call to the General Manager, Mike Engel. He will not return any of your calls or messages. Instead he will have a team of people to return your calls and not address the issues or concerns. It is an absolute disgrace how this dealership is being ran. Every person employed there has one consistent trait, (PASS THE BUCK, I DON'T KNOW WHATS GOING ON). ETC............For me, this is just the beginning. I wil be sharing my experience as long as it takes, to ensure no other family will be subjected to this horrific experience!

Avoid This Ford Dealership and their Service Center! This all took place in late July - August 2016. My friend is regrettably having to deal with Lindsay Ford and their service center as of September 2016. A friend recently purchased a vehicle here last month and originally said it was a good experience. He referred me a Bruce, a salesperson here at Lindsay Ford. (This all changed for him, I'll explain further down) After some communication with Bruce, I agreed to come in and look at a vehicle. After driving an hour to get to this dealership, I ended up having to wait over an hour just to meet with Bruce (even though he knew what time I would be there). During this hour of waiting, I noticed another couple was looking at the same vehicle I was interested in. This did not bug me as much simply because I don't expect a dealership to necessarily put a hold on a car just because somebody is coming out to look at it. However, after two hours (keep in mind I have not personally seen the vehicle yet) I am told that the vehicle has a flat tire (keep in mind this is a brand new vehicle) and Bruce asked if I still wanted to see the vehicle. I told him yes, and he informed me I'd have to wait awhile for the service center to fix the tire. Thirty minutes later, the vehicle finally pulls up. (I'm a very patient individual, mainly because I figured the dealership would compensate for this terrible experience when it came time for negotiation.) The flat tire has been fixed but the car has leaves, dirt, and light scratches all over it. Also, the rear taillights are half filled with water! I take the car for a test drive assuming they will lower the price a bit since it has all these problems. Instead of lowering the price, we spend an hour going back and forth getting nowhere. Apparently they don't see any issues with the scratches and water in the tail light. I ended up going to Apple Ford and was treated 10x better and got the deal I was looking for! Plus, Apple Ford has more benefits when you buy a car from them, check them out. ALSO, the friend that referred me to this place is now filled with regret. The car he bought from them had to be brought back for maintenance because of defects with the rear passenger window and rear view window. When he went to pick up the vehicle, not only was the problem not fixed, but there was a scratch on his car. Lindsay Ford offered to fix this, but my friend requested they pay for another place to fix the car and the scratch.Message to Lindsay Ford:When a customer says he is coming in to view a vehicle, get the car ready. Wash it, make sure there isn't a flat, and ensure there are no visible defects! If there are, expect to lower the price or not make a sale! Take better care of your cars while they are sitting in the lot waiting to be purchased. Provide better training to your sales associates.

I have been a satisfied customer of this dealership since they took over from Century Ford, i.e., for well over a decade. However, when attempting to use the dealer's website (NOT the "My Ford" company website) to make my most recent periodic maintenance appointment, I encountered some serious malfunctions. This is as much a mystery to my service advisor, John Kernan, as it is to me. In fact, he had to intervene with an override to fix it. Let me explain. After making the appointment (for August 18), I decided to check the factory-recommended service schedule to see if I had overlooked anything. That review resulted in my wanting to add two items--engine coolant and cabin air filter. The Lindsay dealer website has a HyperText link which purports to allow the customer to amend a service request. Well, sorry, but no, it doesn't. I tried four separate times. There's what is supposed to be a free text field where you can enter what you want done. Not so. It's pre-loaded with a very short list of some service items. Only one of those was the cabin air filter (I checked this box). There was no item for the engine coolant. Then, after that, the website suddenly informed me that I couldn't make an appointment at that time. This made no sense, because I wasn't trying to make a new appointment, just amend an existing one. The website then stopped the whole process without making any amendments to my original submission. It did this FOUR TIMES. Even service advisor Kernan could find no record anywhere of any [attempted] changes, so he had to do it himself. This kind of counterproductive IT outcome is extremely counterproductive. It can undo all the other good feeling Lindsay's quality of service and capable employees engender. Surely they would want to fix that, wouldn't they?

Unethical beyond belief. First, the advertised price of the car was inaccurate...right off the bat, the car was $1,000 more than advertised (no mention on internet that price included military & college student discounts). If that wasn't bad enough, they tried to tack on a "reconditioning fee" of almost $1,000. Then it got worse when the salesman, Francisco, blamed the state of PA for requiring the vehicle be taxed AFTER all of the phony add-ons (so wrong!!!). So happy we walked out when we did. We now have a brand new Nissan for the same monthly payment they were trying to con us into!Do not buy from this dealer!

I would like to start by saying not once was I pressured to purchase a vehicle. Conversations were about my family and I. I was asked which vehicle I was interested in .and the experience ended up being to my liking. I was helped initially by an intriguing young man,David Tep. I can honestly say I may not have purchased a vehicle there if I had not engaged David in conversation. This young can be an asset to the company. He show a willingness to learn. Good job David.

We had come to realize we really wanted a Ford Explorer and had landed on the core things we needed in the care as well as the color. In our search to find the perfect car for us - we spoke with and visited several dealers. We were ultimately led to Lindsay Ford because of the way they worked with us to find the best deal and ultimately to find the exact car we were looking for.Sarah Byrd was outstanding in her support in this whole process! I appreciate her going to bat for us to get the cost in the zone we could afford. She went the extra mile to even help us find a part that we needed to make the trip we were taking that night! We greatly appreciate the whole sales and service team that we got to work with.Lee was great in helping us in the purchasing process and Miles was really helpful as we finalized the paperwork. Kudos as well for Cammeron Mayberry who help us with understanding the technology on the car - he was a great help.We would highly recommend the Lindsay team to you.We are thankful for the way they helped us find our dream car!We look forward to working with them in the future.

They do not say what they mean, nor do they do what they say. Every moment you are there, when you aren't being ignored completely, is filled with bullying tactics to try and push you into buying a car. People were openly rude, a lack of knowledge among many of the staff, and nothing was straightforward. The price seems the best, but with hidden fees, undisclosed charges, and them scribbling illegibly on scraps of paper, you cannot help but feel a bitter dislike for such an unprofessional and dishonest seeming place. I was treated more poorly than any experience I've ever had in my life. But, if it's a great product at a great price I am willing most of the time to swallow discontent at rudeness. But it is not. They will add costs, change numbers, and become angry when you express discontent at the way they are operating (instead of changing or reigning it in some). Please do not go here. It is absolutely not worth it in any way.

After trying to get a 2016 Explorer. I realized that the final cost of the vehicle was going to be around 50k. Way too much for a Ford car. IF it was an Audi or Porsche then it would have been ok. Anyways my worst part of the experience was when I discovered that the opened a credit card under my name. WOW. They have no right to do that at all. They never even disclosed about opening a line of credit. This place should be under investigation for fraud and identity theft.

My salesperson Manuel Rois was great, he went out of his way to help me find the suv I wanted, no complaints, even with my list of this is what I want, nothing but smiles from him. Special thank you to Sarah for helping me with all the financing questions. I would buy my next car or suv from Lindsay Ford in Wheaton. The only complaint I would have is the service dept., did not have time for me to install my splash guards and locking wheel nuts that I purchased there.

I live in Fairfax, VA, I went around all Ford dealerships in Fairfax and Chantilly, but this dealership, although in MD and located like 25 miles from I live, it was the best in terms on customer cares and the stuff they offered, the most important is the payment rates and prices, they were the best, they beat all other dealerships.Sarah Byrd and Luis Mejia are the best! You will receive the best deals, offers and rates from Sarah, Luis will make everything possible for you and the best recommendations, along with friendly attitude and environment, you will feel happy.

I was looking for a remaining 2015 F-150 and came across a reasonably priced one on Lindsay Ford's website. I clicked on "get ePrice" where I provided my contact information and was sent the ePrice which matched the price I saw on-line. The following morning, I received half a dozen phone calls from Ermias asking me if I would be able to come into the dealership. He then told me to click on the link in my email as there were additional savings because it was the final day of the month and they needed to "sell 30 cars today!" When I clicked on the link in my email, the truck I was interested in did in fact have additional savings. I confirmed the new price with Ermias and he also told me to print the paper out and bring it in with me and the price would be honored. I asked for a ballpark estimate of my trade in because I would be driving over an hour to the dealership and wanted some idea of the deal before I made the trip. He asked me to email him my VIN and milage and he would get back to me with the estimate within 20minutes. This is where everything begins to fall apart -- No return phone call. I had to start calling them back! They kept dodging my calls and stalling on my trade-in estimate. I connected with Monty who said he was Ermias's manager and that he would speak with Ermias on my trade-in value. No call back. I had to call again and again to finally get someone on the phone. Once I finally connected they said that I needed to click on the link in my original email as the price had been updated again. Now the price was $10K higher than what was on the paper I had printed out and $5K higher than my first ePrice email. Ermias said they had made an error on their website and now that it was fixed they could no longer honor the price that I had on my printout. This is not one of those situations where a $50K vehicle is erroneously marked down to $15K and I'm trying to pull one over on the dealership, this was what I would consider a nice deal on a remaining 2015 vehicle. I said they should still honor the price that was on my sheet...which he had confirmed when I printed it out earlier. Then Ermias tried to get me to switch to a different truck and asked what my preference was -- to which I said I wanted the truck I had inquired about at the price that he confirmed during our call that morning. He said that since he couldn't honor the price I was quoted, he would look into an alternate truck and see if he could get the price down. When he called back several hours later, he had a truck that was nothing like the one I had chosen. I explained that his dealership should do the honorable thing and honor the price he had quoted me earlier. All that was offered was for me to again speak with his manager, Monty. Monty said he needed to "get his head around what happened during the day" and would call me back in 20minutes. 45minutes later, Monty called back and said he was "still wrapping his head around everything." I explained my frustration and was offered to speak with Sarah Byrd, the General Sales Manager, but it would likely be the following day. Enter Sarah Byrd. She actually called me that evening. At first, she was very apologetic and tried to explain everything with the errors via the website, etc. She even offered to re-work the deal for me to get as close as possible to what I was looking for. I had high hopes. Since it was late in the day, she said she'd get back to me the following morning, around 10-10:30AM. She did email me around that time and said she was still in her kick-off meeting and that it would be later than expected for her to get back to me. I checked in with her about 2 hours later and was told that she would still be later because it was the beginning of the month and she was still in meetings. Finally at 4:40PM today, Sarah emails me the details of this so called "deal" she had re-worked - it was pitiful and just frustrated me even more. This is just another dealership that is full of liars and people that can't honor what they say. Furthermore, they record the phone calls, so I have the verbal confirmation of the price of the truck and they still won't honor it. I would never do business with these people.

My experience with Lindsay was excellent. they always tried to help me putting OEM to my 2015 vehicle because A/M part did not fit on my car. Mr. James Chang adjuster of GEICO had bad customer service and forgot order all the parts that the body shop required. I talk by myself with the body shop, and they showed me all the parts that my vehicle needed but Mr. Chang never approved them because he is unprofessional to do his job. I appreciate that Lindsay always mediated to fix my car very professional with excellent quality.

Love my 2015 Fusion Hybrid. I was treated with respect through a LONG negotiation and we ended up liking each other. That is saying something. Though I felt a little uncomfortable with the realization that there is no truth in advertising (i.e., the Lindsay Love It eprice) in the end we were able to come to agreement. The people I dealt with were great.

Wish I would have read the reviews before going to Lindsay for service. I went in to have my passenger side headlight changed and was told that the original assembly was changed, and that it would cost over $500 to have it restored. When I asked what else could be done, I was told something about a $200 lightbulb that could possibly be installed, but with the labor, I would probably be back to the $500 mark, and that it wouldn't last that long. So all in all, I paid $65.88 for absolutely nothing. I wasn't even told that the assembly wasn't the original before being charged for a half hour of labor. (You would think a "FORD" Dealer would know this before a half hour.) The icing on the cake is that I don't even have a receipt that details what the serviceman found and the estimate, (something I think I am returning for, for my $65.88) just an invoice for $65.88 labor. I really expected more from a FORD dealer. I actually got better service and options from the Firestone Center around the corner. Very disapointed!

The reason car dealers get a bad name. The epitome of the shady dealer stereotype.Tom Squire, Tara Byrd, Abe Yazdani, Dilia Giron, and Mike Traish are the worst. They all lie and cheat. Mike Engle and John Smallwood are useless. You will definitely regret buying from them. Don't do it!

Every Ford dealership sells the same car, so of course, everyone pushes sales as much as possible because after you bought it..you're stuck. Now comes the real experience that counts. When that Ford breaks down (and it will, it's a FORD), how does service handle it? Some dealers handle it well. Others have incompetent managers and policies in place that create a headache for owners needing service. This dealership is more than able at pointing fingers at various departments rather than provide a solution. The turnover on the service manager role speaks volumes. But that could be just an indication of a greater problem in general management. Was sold an extended warranty by their finance manager Leon (who bragged about being in the auto business/Ford for over 8 years). Again, sales was quick/immediate and supremely helpful. But like most less reputable businesses, the proof of the pudding came when it was time to need service. First warranty item was fixed with only one problem...they forgot to align it after replacing the trac bar (and forgot on subsequent visit as well-ugh). It also took a while to get a rental reimbursement completed but it was. 2nd drop off for warranty started a headache of epic proportions. Ford Warranty claimed vehicle didn't have a "pre-inspection" done. Evidently this is supposed to be done by the dealership when the extended warranty is sold. Minus one for Leon the "experienced" finance manager. Car rental was never reimbursed, emails not responded to, texts not responded to, and voice mail not responded to. not until a negative feedback left on google, did service manager call back (same day!) amazing how negative feedback causes them to shape up. Meanwhile the front brake piston blew (truck had 76K miles) and tow (supposed to be covered) wasn't covered either. So 6 months after I bought an extended warranty, they're voided the extended warranty and I've requested them to refund me my warranty purchase, and reimburse me for rentals/tow that they were obligated to provide before they 'cancelled' the warranty. No check yet after 6 months. I'm only waiting because it makes a much better case according to my lawyer. This dealership is so focused on sales, that service and all other departments suck major wind. I feel for the service advisors because they get caught between everyone. On a positive side, everyone smiles and says hi and is generally happy even if the customers never seen happy. Every department is busy blaming each other for their failures when it's pretty clear, it's just a really BAD stealership.

One bright spot in my experience of buying a new truck at Lindsay was getting to know one of the salesmen with whom I worked. The young man is Mike Guardado, and he gave me terrific service. He knows the technicals of the vehicles like the back of his hand and he's pleased to pass that knowledge on to you. IMO he will protect you as well as he can from management, whose intentions are not always good. Also the process of buying a car inevitably involves a lot of sitting around and waiting, and Mike is a great guy to sit around and shoot the breeze with while you're waiting. If you go to Lindsay, you can't do any better than make an appointment with Mike before you go.

I drove over four hours from my home to buy a very special car from Lindsay's PreOwned Super Store. It was a once in a lifetime, beautiful car. I was able to do all negotiations over the internet and phone. It took a few days, but it turned out to be a very good deal. I received a very good value for my car the paid a very fair price for the sale car. When we arrived, everyone was so helpful and friendly. We first stopped at the Ford dealership and the folks there were so helpful in getting us to the proper place. All the paperwork was in order. I took the car for a ride, they checked out my trade and within two hours we were on our way. It was probably the easiest car purchase I have ever done and believe me, there have been many! We have great credit and were willing to negotiate. It made for a really stressful deal from beginning to end. I absolutely love my car and would definitely recommend this dealership if you are looking for a great car! Ask for Luis! His is just amazing!!

From the moment we spoke to him on the phone to ask if the car we were interested in was still available until the second I drove off the lot, Chris Palmer was by our side the whole time. Fast, friendly, helpful, and what I loved most - knowledgeable! He was so incredibly easy to talk to and very easy going. What I appreciated most is that he didn't drag the buying process. He was walking as fast as he could getting paperwork, making copies, etc, etc. It was so great doing business with him! This wasn't our first time buying a car, so we already expected what previous experience has taught us - sit at the dealership for hours, have about five folks approach you to give you additional sales pitches - not the case here. We were IN and OUT in less than 2 1/2 hours, which was awesome! In general, when we approached the dealership, I wasn't attacked by a million sales representatives. It was a very comfortable and relaxed environment. Nobody pushed you into buying anything, which was SO nice! We were greeted, everyone one was SUPER nice, and customer service was great!Lindsay Ford (and Chris Palmer), thank you for making my first experience with Ford a VERY positive one!!

Service was the worst ever but that is the norm for Lindsay. Cigarette lighter did not work. Could not charge phone . Had to bring it back. Floor mats were at new car lot but when I went to get them they were at the used car lot. Door lock code not furnished and the service department is totally useless. Have to go to another dealer to get it done. Because it is a Certified vehicle if the key is accidently left in vehicle because we do not have code roadside will cost Ford. A five minute procedure that Lindsay service cannot do. I once needed a thermostat for my Windstar which Lindsay tried to charge me $35.00 for a $7.00 item. The only reason we bought the vehicle from Lindsay was the wife liked the vehicle. Had a friend put down $100 deposit on a new car which was sold to some one else and took forever to get his deposit back. He told me stay away from Lindsay. Buying was straight forward and the finance guy was very helpful and easy to deal with. The service people destroyed an otherwise good buying experience.

We ended up here because we were using a car buying service that guarantees transparent pricing. We went through the entire process, and in the final stages we were given a number that was a thousand dollars more than the agreed upon price. It was the classic case of posting low prices to get people in the door, then using unethical, shady means of tricking the customer. When we refused to pay the extra money, the manager, Mike Traish got involved. He was nasty to us. Beyond nasty, using mean language and telling us (in different words) that if we didn't like it, we could take our business somewhere else. We were in disbelief over how rudely we were treated. We will never give this dealership our business, and I would strongly advise others to stay away and not be fooled by the prices on the internet.

Disappointing experience trying to buy a used car at Lindsay. To the advertised price they not only add on a "dealer documentation fee" of $365 (not $300 as listed in Lindsay's fine print online) but also a "vehicle preparation fee" of $995. When the salesman started to write up the contract, he simply added the $995 to the price of the car, which means the buyer pays sales tax on it. It all seemed very deceptive to me. What a dealer does to get a car ready to sell should be included in the price, not in an add-on fee. On the positive side, they did allow me to take the car to my mechanic for an inspection. That's why I gave them two stars rather than one.

Wheaton Ford gave me a great deal, nice rebate, and a good trade in value. The interest rate and down payment were both 1/2 what some of the other Ford dealers in the area wanted. Actually one of the other dealerships wanted 5x the money down at 3x the interest rate. They told me that the deal Wheaton was offering me was too good to be true and that once I got there it would be pulled out from under my feet. Everything went exactly as planned, the numbers that they gave me over the phone didn't go up. They actually got a little lower. Some of the other dealerships were so difficult to get pricing from, they just wanted to get me there and pressure me into a sale. The dealership is a little out of my way but it was well worth the drive for the savings. My new mustang is so sweet and for the first time I don't feel like I got ripped off buying a new car.Talk with Monty Harika (manager) and Ludwing Arana (sales rep) if you want a no-hassle experience and the best prices in the state.

I bought my car in 2014. The car salesman that helped me was Vince Cowan. Vince was extremely helpful before, during and after the car buying process. He takes time to explain and answer any questions. If I were to rate just sales, I would give just Vince 5 STARS because he has excellent customer service. I gave the dealership an overall rating of 3 STARS because I had an unpleasant experience with the finance department. Daniel Ford was the finance manager I dealt with, i felt like all he cared about was me signing the dotted line and purchasing the car. Because after purchasing the car, his customer service went from an 8 to a 1. I had issues with my financing going through even days after I purchaced the car. They took forever to pay my previous car off, even after telling me that it would be done within the month. He wasn't answering calls and neither was he calling back; so I was left to dark as to what the issue was with getting my car financed. Buying the car wasn't an issue; but the financing portion and the lack of communication was such a hassle and that is the reason for 3 stars. If you end up going to this dealership, I would recommend VINCE COWAN as your sales person because he would always keep in contact with you and try his best to make sure the entire process is stress-free.

I recently bought a Ford from Lindsays in Wheaton MD. My grandmother and I had a wonderful experience with Reggie Mack a salesmen at the dealership. He was patient and very mindful of our budget. We had been to countless dealerships in the Silver Spring/Wheaton area and no ones customer service compared to Reggies. Reggie was honest and treated us like we were family. When we finally found a car, we worked with Dilia Giron the finance manager. She worked diligently and efficiently in finding us the best interest rate. DO NOT WORK WITH THE FLOOR MANAGER: After I purchased the car, I came across it advertised online. I noticed that the price was slightly different than what I had purchased it for. When I went to the dealership with the print out of what I had found online I was directed to the floor manager. He completely made me feel embarrassed and belittled. He explained to me that the online price of a vehicle is never the actual sale price. When I still didnt understand what he was explaining, he shouted for about 4 other salesmen to come over and presided to ask them the same question redundantly whats the difference between online pricing and dealership pricing?. The salesmen all answered the same question over and over again. I left the dealership in tears, I was so embarrassed. At that moment I regretted buying a car from that dealership. I had two salesmen follow me to my car asking if I was ok. Its such a shame that someone could treat a paying customer that way, and if hes so bitter maybe he should look for a new profession. I would never recommend anyone to this dealer as long as this floor manager is still employed there. I would hate for anyone to feel that way after making such a large purchase. My rating are based on the service I received from Reggie and Dilia NOT THE FLOOR MANAGER

The car was like 4,000 so to some it up In order for me to get car I needed extra money n would be broke . I got the money because the car look to nice I admit. Avan Harrison worked with me quickly to get a used car that I liked. The purchasing was pretty quick and straight forward. I felt a bit pressured to buy their warranty package which I did not want. It was discretely included in the price without previously informing me. I asked for it to be taken off and it was eventually. The good: The car I got was in very good condition, and given at a reasonable price. Avan made sure that I was happy with it, and gave me his number to call if I had any questions. It took some time for my car to get ready as they had a couple of recalls to take care of, but I think they did a bit of work on the car. They gave me a rental for all the days in which they were doing work on the car. They buffed out and repainted the back bumper, and made it look good as new. They have me four new tires which was great. The Bad: I was not very impressed with the level of detailing done. The car had just been given to the lot, so the interior was very dirty and had not been cleaned yet. I was promised the interior would be cleaned nicely, but found some gunk on the gear shift, spots on the rear view mirror, sticky tape from the previous inspection sticker on the windshield, and some wrappers and crumbs in a seat pocket. These were things that could have easily been cleaned up, but I believe only a superficial cleaning was done. There seemed to be a lack of communication from the sales team, and the technicians. We kept getting different stories on when the car would be ready, and how long it would take. This went on for 6 days. Finally on the last day when we were told everything was ready, it ended up not being ready for another 2 hours. I would like the thank Avan for being really good with us. He apologized for the miscommunication and offered a few things for us in exchange which was very nice. I would recommend anyone to visit this place, and especially Avan in particular.

Speaking on behalf of my sister, who bought a car off of the grade A salesman David Rasnake. Mr. Rasnake went above and beyond to narrow down her choices and put her in the car she really wanted. He showed her the pros and cons of each car and made her feel confident that she was making the right decision. He even bought us lunch because he felt like we shouldn't be hungry when making such a huge financial decision-totally agree! I would say go to Lindsay Ford and request David Rasnake, you will not be disappointed in his customer service skills, and ultimately his loyalty to the company.

Deceptive. Worst Experience Ever. I leased a car and after a month they STILL hadn't processed the paperwork with Ford Credit. Then I received a call that they needed my signature on "something to correct an error". Luckily I read the paperwork because it changed the terms of the deal and monthly payment amount making the car more expensive. That is not how you negotiate and not how contracts work.Don't waste your time with them. There are far better dealers who act with honesty and integrity.

I was quite disappointed in my experience with Lindsay Ford Used Cars. The salesman mislead me when I asked about repairs that the vehicle needed and was cavalier regarding how soon the repairs could be made, the finance team did not adhere to my request, and the management team was slow to respond to my complaints about my experience. The team did not make me feel as if my business was important to them.

Walk into the showroom at lunch time to buy a car on December 31st. I told them that I didn't want to be there all day because of plans in the evening to bring in the New Year. 8 hours later, I was in a rush to make my evening commitments. Now that, that is out of the way, let me explain why this was the worst car buying experience I have ever had, and will ever have. I saw their prices online and they had the best prices in the market for the vehicle I was looking for which is why I drove 30 miles to get there. Once I was there, they began explaining thay their online prices include all incentives even though you don't particularly qualify for some, if any, of them. I should've walked away at that point but every time I hinted that I was ready to walk away, they sweet talked me into staying cause they would work out a deal that would place me where I'd like to be at. During the course of the day, I kept overhearing their manager (maybe) talking about how they were short on meeting their sales goal for the day and that they had to keep selling so they met thay goal. Nothing was more unprofessional to see than to see the store manager adding pressure on the sales team so they can turn around and place even more pressure on buyers. Anyway, I told them I wanted a payment at 'x' amount and I walked out with a payment over $100 more than what they said I'd be paying. They said they would give me 'x' amount of money cash back to assist with payments, but I didn't receive the money until after my first payment was due, and it wasn't even what they had agreed to give me. To cut a long story very short, I warn any potential car buyers to stay away from Lindsay Ford. I get a nasty feeling when I hear all of their marketing on the radio every day. With so many Ford dealers in the area, save your time and money and take your business to a more respectable place that values you, your time, and not just your money.

DISHONEST. SHADY. RUDE. DONT BE FOOLED JUST GO ELSEWHERE.My worst car buying experience ever. Extremely rude and dishonest. If you don't trust me just go and try it out. Their cars are way overpriced if you compare with Kelley's Blue Book and the prices that they put out on the lot and online are thousands of dollars more expensive. Furthermore, once you get there they tell you about their $1000 fee which is insane -- I am used to paying fees and taxes but not to this level. My car salesman knew nothing at all about the car. I actually taught him a lot more and couldn't answer basic questions. I was not allowed to take more than a 20 minute test drive on a car they were trying to sell me for basically 35% mark up on its price and they were trying to bully me into buying the car from the first second. I know how to deal with these people and did my research but they were just on another level of hilariously incompetent. They even tried to get me to sign some form saying I promise to buy the car if offered at a good price to me which they said was "meaningless" (if its meaningless why ask me to sign it?) no other dealership of all the used dealerships I went to in the area asked me to sign that. The manager was much worse than the guy selling the car. Almost everything he said was dishonest. He was extremely rude and didn't even seem like he wanted to sell the car. The price he offered was thousands of dollars more than Kelley's Blue Blook and I basically showed him cars all over the U.s. with a lower price and lower mileage and that his price was near new cars -- he wouldn't budge or meet me half way trying to trick me into saying an expensive price and then buying it even after I gave him 3 low ball offers, the last one being around the price he bought the car for.The feeling I felt when seeing the xxxxxxx manager guy was that even if he gave me this car with $2000 off its price, I would still not buy it from him because of how rude and how dishonest he was I would feel upset that I gave his dealership money and not a nicer more honest less slimy guy from another dealership even if he was more expensive. I realized when walking out that that is exactly the opposite of what you want to feel when leaving a dealership!!! This guy is the worst. To make matters worse when we couldn't agree and I walked out he basically kicked me out didn't say goodbye and was extremely rude again.I would recommend going anywhere else but here. This guy is even worse than the used car salesmen in the movies. I would be scared to buy his cars honestly.

We never felt like im talking to dealer i felt like he cared about my comfort and feeling of security in getting my first car. I was with my dad when we bought it and he also said he decided to get the car because aside from the car is in great conditon the agent was so easy to deal with. Four stars because were still fixing some minor issues that need to be addressed but over all I'm very happy!

They've won me. Yesterday I needed a car. I needed one fast. I spoke over the telephone with Lindsay Ford's manager Sarah Byrd who then worked with sales associate John McGowan. Within about half an hour I got a call back to come in, sign, and drive away. Without the need for any back and forth I had my financing, my paperwork, and my car. Simple. Painless. Fast. There will be no need in the future to go from dealer to dealer. In my sixty years I have been to many dealerships and have purchased more than several cars; my experience with Lindsay has been the best by far. Thank you very much Sarah and John.

This was my first new car purchase. For years I tried to find every possible way to maintain my old car, primarily because I was so reluctant (and overwhelmed) by the idea of buying a new car and going through all of the mind-numbing research, haggling, and paperwork that goes along with it. The process terrified me. The team at Lindsay Ford immediately put me at ease and completely changed my perception of the car buying experience. Specifically, salesman Randy Flock and finance director Dave Kelly were absolutely fantastic! Aside from being incredibly knowledgeable and in tune with his customers' practical and financial needs, Randy is just an awesome person. He made the process exciting and never pushed on anything we didn't want or need. His professionalism and desire to provide the best service possible was evident as I flip flopped back and forth on choosing the perfect car (a personal "indecisive" problem I have). He worked with us well past lunch and I never got the sense that he wasn't 100% committed to our transaction. I definitely recommend Randy! Great salesman and just a wonderful guy. Additionally, after working with Randy and picking a sweet 2015 Ford Explorer Sport, we worked with finance director Dave Kelly on finding the best possible financial strategy for us to drive away with the car. Dave was incredibly patient with us and explained every nuance of the financing, thoroughly outlining every option. He made things so crystal clear when we left the dealership that we knew we got a great deal and felt very comfortable with our car and financing program. Thank you to Randy and Dave for providing a wonderful first time car buying experience!

I didn't intend to buy at that time and was only seeking info on available cars in stock to look at and test drive. I definitely planned to purchase in the near future however. Randy was quite knowledgable regarding the vehicles and did not use any typical car dealer tactics to keep me in the building. I was straight up with hime and I believe he saw that my interest was sincere, but the timing wasn't quite right. He showed me around, allowed me to drive the car in snowy and icy weather and was willing to meet with me and talk with me even on his day off. Then I me Sarah Byrd, the sales manager. She also seemed to realize that I wasn't prepared to purchase yet but persuaded me to listen to the five major benefits of purchasing today. Ford rebates, a deep discount on the MSRP, unique financing (which suited my financial situation as a retiree perfectly), a government tax incentive (plug-in hybrid), and the highest quote for my trade-in I have been given to date. For me it was like a perfect storm of opportunities to get the best deal on any car I have ever purchasedEveryone at the dealership was personable, friendly, and had a great sense of humor. I visited almost every departmentparts, service, body shop, car wash, the new car sales floor, etc. Having moved out of the area, I am glad I did my research online and discovered this dealership. I drove 250 miles from Pittsburgh, Pa. for the purchase and had a great experience and a got a truly terrific deal on the car. Thank you Randy and Sarah for all you did for me.

So I inquired online about a 2015 Mustang , a few minutes after i sent in my information Randy Flock called me and asked me to come in. I immediately made my way to the dealership,he let me test drive the 2015 mustang and i signed the papers the next day and drove off with the car. The bank interview didnt go well so I had to return the car ,but Randy was still persistent in ensuring I drove off in a car and encouraged me to come back and get a used Mustang GT. He felt sympathy for the deal going bad and made the used mustang deal go great. I signed the papers within 5days and drove off with the Mustang GT. Sarah Byrd did her very best to make the car within my price range to ensure I had an amazing experience and went above and beyond. I recommend Randy to anyone looking for a car!!!

I found a used Mercedes on cars listed by this dealership. I confirmed 3 times about heated seats and rear view camera in the car and was "promised" by the sales rep on the phone that he personally verified that the car has these. When e drove all the way in snow covered roads of Virginia/Maryland on a Sunday (25miles each way), the first thing he says when we walk in is that he made a mistake and the car does not have the camera BUT "he can get it hooked up". Next, the listing shows the car has Navigation and leather seats BUT when I checked, the navigation module is not even there and the seats are the leatherette that comes standard in Mercedes. Again, the module can be "hooked up". The car was not even washed and the tires also were in bad condition. The fronts were of a different brand, wear and thread type than the rears. The car that is listed higher than a CPO for the given features and condition because of the all the false/incorrect features. Made us waste our entire Sunday morning. I am going to register a complaint against them on BBB.

I was actually forewarned about this dealership by a couple of other dealerships. I was quoted a price that the other dealers said there was no way they could hold true. But, despite the warnings, I proceeded to my appt with them. John, who is brand new to sales at the dealership, was their sacrificial lamb they had meet me to sell me the car. He was extremely nice and professional. He showed me the car, explained all of it's benefits, and went on a test drive with me. The car was sold if they held true to my quoted price. Unfortunately when I sat down to talk numbers, the number I was quoted was suddenly a MISTAKE! They tried to explain that because they thought I was from Va and the taxes and processing fees are different there that they had gotten crossed up. I still have no idea what that has to do with THEIR price!! I was warned about them and unfortunately exactly what the other people said would happen DID!! They would not honor the price I was quoted on the phone. They only gave me that price so that they could get me into the dealership and try to talk me into buying there. It was truly disappointing. They continued to try to talk me in circles, including the guy who quoted me the price, Fernando Ware.......as in BEWARE!! Unfortunately for them I had been dealing with several Ford dealerships for about a week and I knew EXACTLY what I was talking about. Their freight is $200 more than most other dealerships so the price they quote you isn't affected the same way. They must have another way of sliding extra money on top because the number they started with didn't reflect the same way other dealerships did. As far as I can tell, the higher ups are a bunch of SHEISTERS!! Good luck if you go there!! I ended up buying from Ted Britt Ford in Fairfax. They honored the price I was quoted on the phone (which was several hundred dollars less than the best Lindsay said they could do) to the exact dime and it couldn't have been a more enjoyable experience. I recommend you redirect your travels to head there!!

Im a repeat customer to Lindsay Ford. I just bought a new 2015 Ford Fusion from Lindsay just a over a month ago in December 2014, and the car sales professional, Mr. Tom LaGrave was wonderful. So wonderful in fact, he inspired my wife and me to buy another car from Lindsay and this time we bought a new 2015 C-Max this February 2015. Mr. LaGrave was very helpful, knowledgeable, with a very low pressure sales approach that I can respect. Also Ms Sarah Byrd one of Lindsay Ford Sales Managers was equally as wonderful for her role in our car buying experience. Lindsay Ford is 65+ miles from our home and not very easy for us to get to. At the same time we pass many Ford dealers to get to Lindsay. But Because of how wonderful our sales experience was with both cars we just bought and I recommend to anyone to make the journey because it was well worth it.I cant say enough good things about everyone we came in contact with at Lindsay Ford and we are very happy. Im highly recommending Lindsay to my friends and family, as well as anyone who asks the question of where they should buy their next car. I thank the Lindsay Ford family and my salesmen Mr Tom LaGrave. I will buy from them again.

I just bought my new 2015 Ford Fusion from the wonderful people at Lindsay Ford and I'm so VERY happy with the way they have treated me I just wanted to let others know about this dealership and my experience. I'm 57 and over the years I have bought many new cars and trucks from other Maryland dealerships. All too often the buying process was a miserable experience. But dealing with the very professional people at Lindsay Ford it was a wonderful, no pressure experience. But specifically I want to mention the two people that made my wonderful experience so wonderful. During the negotiations process I had the privilege to talk to Ms. Sarah Byrd who is one of the General Sales Managers, and Mr. Tom LaGrave who was my Sales Associate. I have shopped for some time for my new Ford Fusion and have talked to many Ford dealerships during my search before I found Lindsay Ford and had the opportunity to talk to both Ms. Byrd and Mr. LaGrave. I live over 60+ miles from Lindsay Ford. During the drive to Lindsay Ford I pass many Ford dealerships that are way more convenient to my location. But because Both Ms. Byrd and Mr. LaGrave were so professional as well as they both made me feel they truly cared about what was best for me, the customer. They inspired me to want to pass all of the other Ford dealerships that are way more convenient to my home to make the trip to their location. That first day when I showed up to the dealership for the very first time I never seen a dealership as busy as this Ford dealer was. I mean it was CRAZY busy. Ms. Byrd as one of the General Sales Managers I discovered is always in high demand and often there are people four deep waiting to see her at any given time. But as busy as she is, Ms. Byrd did take the time to come and meet me the day I went to meet with Mr. LaGrave. It may sound like a small thing to some, but to me this speaks volumes for someone as busy as she is to feel it is important to meet with the customer. If youre shopping for a new or used car, do yourself a favor and give the people at Lindsay Ford a chance to earn your business. I know you will be as happy with the support from professionals as I am. And if youre as lucky as I was, you will get the chance to work with both Ms. Sarah Byrd and Mr. Tom LaGrave.

After a long search I decided to buy a ford escape and was shopping around and contacting different dealers to find the best deal. I had a OUT the door price agreement with a different dealer and Sarah Byrd the general sale manager of Lindsay Ford promised to beat that price. I was a little suspicious at the beginning and went to Lindsay Ford with my Guard UP. Up on arrival I was greeted by Luis Mejia a sales associated, he knew all details of my agreement with Sarah the GM and wasted no time. Took the time to show me the vehicle. Was very knowledgeable about all the features of the vehicle and explained everything from bumper to bumper. Took the car for a test drive. Once I made my mind the process was flawless, pain free, and quick. Oh and Sarah not only beat the price of the other dealer, she sold me the higher trim! I loved the experience I had at Lindsay Ford. Planning on Buying a F-150 in a few months and Im going back there.

Experience was great! Avan was very nice, fun and easy to work with!!! We wouldn't have wanted another salesperson! We didn't have to fight to get the price we wanted because the car was reasonably priced already (which is usually most the battle while purchasing a vehicle) We never met the sales manager, which would have been a nice touch after we signed the deal. Other than my salesman being very nice, this place is by far the worst car buying experience I have endured. I purchased a brand new car in August 2014. First, my trade-in car has not been paid off yet and it is now over 2 months since I traded in the vehicle, so now my other account is in collections! Second, I have yet to receive my official tags and registration! So now, I am driving illegally and no one can provide me with details on when I will receive my official registration. Beyond ridiculous and frustrating!

Lindsay Ford Failures presents-Squabbling Scoundrels and Dinosaur EggsPreface:This is quite long and not originally intended for review websites but the dealership sent me an e-mail asking me to post my car-purchasing experience online (even gave me links to all the biggest popular ones too!) and I figured I would oblige. I really just want MY permanent LICENSE PLATE or at least a separation from needing the incompetent, disrespectful and people being paid to not work at the Lindsay Ford Dealership in Wheaton, Maryland at 11250 Veirs Mill RdWheaton, MD 20902. Their slogan Youll Love It At Lindsay but I Hate It!Literally nothing else has worked, so short of getting legal assistance in the matter theres not much choice but to write this in hopes it gives just one person there the push they need to do thatthing they get paid for. I forgot what that word is where someone compensates you for time spent doingsomething. If I had any other choice I would not waste time in my life writing this or being concerned, not in my lifes entirety but not just a day or two either, probably a total of a few weeks worth of my life over the past five months. Either way it will certainly persuade you away from this place if you have the time and Ive made it an enjoyable read at the same time. Mainly this is to heighten awareness at Ford of how one of their dealerships conducts business and customer service like a hotel with hourly rates, while buying something 20 times the price of a night at the Ritz-Carlton. The current date is October 21st, 2014; I bought my car on June 6th, 2014.I currently have a third temporary license plate but only because I bought an expensive flight from Michigan to Maryland for one day so I could physically deal with them in person, only then to return so I could drive my car for work, so I could then pay for the car I bought from them FIVE months ago. Enjoy:Chapter 1. The Epiphany TicketOnce upon a time, I had a job I disliked immensely in the Washington, D.C. area, a beautiful deep metallic maroon V6 Pontiac G6 in flawless condition along with an extensive supply of quality tools and professional experience from working in the maintenance and property management field. I needed to leave my job immediately, utilize my material assets, implore myself to use my education and experience to better myself and at the same time sell my G6 which I had babied for six years since I purchased it, hopefully for what I thought it was worth to me (which did not suit my needs as I occasionally used it for work with no wife and kids to validate the purpose for a four door sedan). How could I possibly do all these things, make an intelligent investment and complete it all quickly in a reasonably reasonable time period? Sounded tough to me too. Then it all came together! Sometime back in late May 2014 I had an epiphany once I saw the Ford Transit Connect online. I rarely get excited, however today was the exception. My brain exploded with imagination and hope of what I could achieve with this incredibly well designed, efficient and very affordable automobile. I thought to myself, I could trade my G6 in, get a brand new utility vehicle which could stow all my tools AND be the perfect platform to begin a small, efficient mobile business out of, in a large urban area where parking space is more important than Time itself. I searched online for local dealers and decided to go to the closet one the next day. That morning I awoke strangely not to the thought of how terrible another day of work will be but as I stared into the mirror getting ready for the day, I smiled. Buying this Transit Connect would be like buying the winning lottery ticket, blurted out of my mouth like I had no choice in saying it, except I know Im gonna win YESSS! I quickly found my phone and I called into work well as I never get sick and since that place made me sick, I figured it was only fair to have a day off when I felt great. Chapter 2. The SalesasaurusI drove to the nearest dealership to see the Transit Connect in person. Keep in mind this was only to see it and test drive it, I was certainly not getting another car before I sold the other one for what I felt it was worth and also not until I did more than a day or two or thinking. After returning from the test drive, I knew it was exactly what I needed they just didnt have much of a selection nor any documentation to look at, it was all online which I already studied but knew I had to withstand the sales assault in person, just to drive the car. The Salesman offered me next to nothing for my mint condition G6 (which I knew they could and would get $5,000-7,000 more for) and handed me a price sheet. I told the Salesman who went for a test drive with me that I wasnt buying anything today so dont bother with your schemes and squabbles. I explained I was thinking of starting a business, trying to get ideas, options, and information to make my choice and really had no need for my current car but certainly didnt need to sell it as it was almost as good as new. It would just help financially. I said the price offered for the transit was too high and way too low for my trade so he showed me the 2013 Transit Connect, which of course was cheaper but was also older and egregiously uglier than the eye-pleasing 2014 model right next to it. Again, for the third time now, I told him, I wasnt buying anything but he had me sit at his desk and wait for his overly aggressive, large, persuasive and generally intimidating female Sales Manager to come try her luck. I wasnt going to budge but I respectfully listened to her spiel since I expected this at some point at any dealership, even though I thought my explanation and reiteration of my position in the car buying process was clear and might be appreciated from one human being to another. I forgot Salesman turn into T-Rex-like creatures and view any prospect sitting at their desk as if theyve just been caught and its a bear trap for their next meal. As he suggested I take the older Transit Connect for a test drive I was trying to save them the time and effort and just told them to stop after that, then I looked at this lady (Alpha-Rex Salesperson) and just simply said, I was just here to see the Transit and make sure it was something I wanted, I had and still have no intention of buying anything today, as I said this, I swear I heard something like steel snap together behind me, as another nice couple behind me sat down at a desk as the salesman confusingly blabbered statistics and useless information to sound like he was saying something valuable to them. As they got comfortable in the fictitious trap I saw, I glanced at my phone and realized how much of my well day I had wasted here and I quickly became irritated that I had to endure all this unwanted pressure and persuasion just to drive the car. I looked back from the couple, completely forgetting I had been excited in any way a few hours prior, now irritated, and continued with the woman, Ive explained my situation quite a few times now and Im not buying the car, I appreciate the information and your time but that is all I needed. This is not decision between which flavored bag of chips at the grocery store that Im buying with my hard earned money, its a $20,000 vehicle! and I apologize but it takes longer than a few hours for me to make that choice. We shook hands and he gave me his info, which I knew Id never use, as I walked comfortably back to my car worth thousands more than they offered. I was very upset that I wasted nearly all of my day off being pressured and schemed at. As I drove home, I went over in my head how the saleswoman had impressed me thoroughly with her knowledge, tactics and nearly flawless technique, as she elaborated on benefits each reason I had given them to buy or disadvantages to not buy the car immediately, as if she had rehearsed it somehow. If I had walked in slightly considering buying she probably would have been able to get me to sign, she was good. However, had I not been so irritated from the experience or if I were easily manipulated and threatened under pressure this story could be much different, maybe it would have been better that way.Chapter 3. The PurchaseI went home from that dealership to think for a few days and make sure I wanted to buy it, knowing I did, just not from that dealership. So I went online just searching for a place that had more than two or three Transit Connects. I found one, and immediately knew I was going to call in well from work the next day. I not only saw the same model I wanted but 30 other options to choose from! So I could look at multiple to determine what I most desired, like the perfect $20,000 bag of chips I had been looking for but not only that, I also saw it advertised at $3,000 less than what the previous dealership offered. I called the number on the website assuming a salesman would call me first thing in the morning since it was 10pm that night. Much to my dismay, about 14 or 15 seconds after I hit request information or whatever I filled out online for more information, I got a phone call. My friend was right next to me and can attest to my initially strange and creeped out response, which then changed to a less creeped out assumption it must be some automated robot response program but then, the unthinkable happened, I answered and it was a real-live woman from the dealership, her name was June(name hidden to protect people that work for a living and to denote the month I bought the car). She sounded very polite and professional and had no idea I was going to buy a car from her within the next day or two whether she sold me on it or not. I basically told her the same story as the first dealership and mentioned Id like to come meet her to see the large selection of Transit Connects at her dealership, unfortunately having to once again mention I did not need the high pressured schemes. We set up a meeting for two days post hence. I started getting excited again and was quite impressed how quickly, comfortable and easy June made it just by being the first to call me.Sure enough, the next day at work I received two calls, one from someone at the same dealership trying to take Junes excited new prospect and another from some general Ford prospect filtering person asking the same info which I assume they already had in front of them from the document I filled out online. I told the other Salesman I had already spoken to someone else there and would be meeting with her and will make sure she was the one that would benefit from any commission, not some random person who arrived at work with a prospect e-mail in his inbox who called before asking his co-workers if they already spoke to me. He sounded defeated and politely asked me to call him if I needed anything. As I pulled the phone away from my ear, I heard a faint snap, then a slow grinding noise, followed by a loud clink in the background, seemingly identical to what resetting a bear trap sounds like.First order of business was to sell the G6 or at least have a back-up plan for when they offer me nothing for my Pontiac G6 worth something. Two days, plenty of time for me to sell my car for what I wanted, I hoped. I had heard people using CarMax to buy and sell cars but never thought of using them. I figured it was worth a try and would at least give me some leverage against their insulting trade-in-offer I had foreseen in my future. Im very glad I did though as I went there that night to get an offer $4,000 more than what the dealers offered for my trade and exactly what I was expecting I should get for my car, with a buffer for them to make $3,000 or so on top of that. Along with zero investment for them since there were no repairs or even cleaning that was needed. I took the price offer sheet and kept it in my sight for the next two days. This is the ticket, I said to myself each time I looked at it. Just under the CarMax logo the print seemed to blur to my eyes and all I could see was WINNER!I arrived at Lindsay Ford of Wheaton, Maryland(11250 Veirs Mill Rd, Wheaton, MD 20902). A few minutes late from traffic but June knew that, as she had called while I was on the road to make sure I was still coming in. She had already sold me with her responsiveness and a simple phone call or two but she had no idea of that or how much it was appreciated. I knew I was selling the G6 to whoever offered the most but assumed I would be returning to CarMax so I was ready to buy a Ford Transit Connect. I arrived and a valet person took my car like I was at the Ritz-Carlton and I didnt even have to tip, just assumed they were already trying to take my car so I made a joke about that to June as she introduced herself. However, very impressed with this easy, comforting service as I just arrived to yet another Dinosaur nest of wooden desks. She didnt even bring me close to her desk, she just simply said, You want to go see some Transits?... Let me go grab a key for a car we can take over to where they all are. Like Darth Vader said while fighting Luke Skywalker, I whispered to myself, Most Impressive! The 30 Transit Connects were in a separate lot a few blocks away. On the drive there we made small talk about ourselves and it turned out she had family near where my family was from. She didnt scheme or squabble one bit, just made me feel comfortable as we arrived in Transit Heaven. The clouds made of brand new 2014 white Transit Connects. Every shape and size. Every option variation. I went back and forth like a kid at a playground checking out all the possibilities. I narrowed it down to two similar models with slightly different options. She pulled one next to the other and just kind-of sat back checking them out herself, so I could stare at each and peacefully make a decision. Moments like that must have been what our Founding Fathers thought Freedom in America should feel like because it was rather liberating. I chose the model for me, we drove it around briefly as I had already driven one but just wanted the perfect one if Im spending $20,000. I parked back into its spot in Transit Heaven, she wrote the car I.D. number down and we got in the car we arrived in to head back to the dealership(Dinosaur Nest). I was very excited at this point, everything was going too smoothly and easy I thought. Everything was coming together as I had hoped when I first saw the car and I was ready to experience the pain of the bear trap so I could achieve my overall goals. We got back to the Sales Floor and June told me to grab a coffee as she fills some paperwork out and gets the pricing info from the Sales Manager(SM). She had me sit in a communal area in the middle, away from her desk or maybe I just sat there on my own out of fear. Either way I wasnt in my imaginative trap and didnt feel like it either. Then her and the SM came over. First, the price was more than that which was posted online. Which the SM explained is because of rebates that werent explained on there and, we need to check that because that shouldnt be on there at such a low price. False-advertising I figured, but how do they get away with this garbage? Advertising thousands of dollars less by claiming if youre a Veteran, who happens to also work for Ford, who happens to also want the specific model, that happens to also be whichever one specific discounted model no one wants - Then you get that price? Either way it worked and tricked the-xxxx-outta-me because it got me in the door. None of that mattered as I was going to buy it either way and just became complacent that thats just how these people do business. He came back over with a slightly lower price along with another low offer for my trade in(but slightly higher than the previous dealership). I quickly reached in my pocket and whipped out my Winning Lottery Ticket offer from CarMax. The SM paused, speechless, because he was just trapped by a Raptor. He quickly started squabbling and shuffling papers nervously trying to make up something. All he could do is frantically go over to the Pit-bossasuarus Alpha Salesperson for support and to help him out of my trap. If it was as easy as CarMax to buy a car here and they didnt need to do this back and forth scamming and scheming, I wouldve already been out of here two hours prior. But it wasnt and they needed to scam me for the highest dollar possible. Strangely, he came back with an offer $2000 more than originally yet $3,000 less than my other offer. Along with the somehow lower discount offered on the car price itself. Like one of those Infomercials:Widget Originally Three Billion Dollars -$3,000,000,000!Yours today for Four Easy payments of $19.95!!+shipping&handling&whatever-scams-schemes-squabbles-scoundrels-get-away-with.Wow! What a deal that sounds like, how could I not buy it? With their new made up price, I decided it was time to go for it and get this done. Just needed to sell my car to CarMax first. They assured me we could do everything today Ill just need to come back with the check once I sell my car. I had already been nearly sold before I arrived, which was then made certain within the first 20 minutes with my fantastic saleswoman. However, being in the middle of the Sales Floor listening to these people, feeling like I was just being tricked and swindled left and right. I became less and less sold with every word the SM said. If I didnt do it now I was going to leave this dealership like the last one to never return which would just prolong my goals and I also couldnt take many more well days. So June and I went back to the Transit lot, moved my car away from the others and put a SOLD sign on it, another comfort from a someone providing exceptional customer service. I had signed, did all the paperwork but had to drive my old car home since I am unable to drive two cars at once. Chapter 4. Cashing The Winning Ticket for a Dinosaur EggA fossilized Dinosaur Egg is worth a lot of money, however its also pretty useless and cant do anything other than just sit in one place while others imagine what it could have been as they stare at its exterior. Keep that in mind as I continue this story.A week went by as I continued to stare at my Winning Ticket. I got my Title for the G6 and everything in order to go sell it and then pick up my new Transit Connect. I arrived at CarMax handed them my offer I had been keeping an eye on like someone was trying to take it, along with my car keys. They double checked my car had me go into a cubical-like area, sign some forms and then gave me a check for thousands of dollars more than any dealership or car-buying company had offered. The whole process took maybe 30 minutes and I was out the door to hop on the WMATA train to Lindsay Ford of Wheaton, Maryland to pick up my new car. I passed my sparkling new Transit Connect that June had her people bring to the front and get ready for me to drive off as I walked into the dealership. I already had my keys, just needed to hand them my check for my enormous down-payment and get to work on my dreams, business and future with my new car.A technician came over with an 8mm nut driver attached to a large, powerful unneeded impact driver just to put on my temporary license plate, my FIRST temporary plate valid thru 8/5/2014. I thought nothing of it and had no premonition of my soon-to-be be intimate future with this paper and its power to turn my $20,000+ purchase into a Dinosaur Egg, unlike my premonitions of their sales schemes I couldnt foresee anything. The plate was on, I could drive away a happy law-abiding customer At least until they had time to cash my check.Chapter 5. From Transit Heaven to Youll Hate xxxx At LindsayTheir slogan, Youll Love It At Lindsay was fairly accurate with my saleswoman every minute up to actually buying the car which made my love diminish slightly but was expected. The next few weeks however would turn my dreams, plans and hopes to near dust as I began to Hate It At Lindsay. A few days after the purchase, I was notified of a job opportunity in Michigan. Amazing timing, near family and away from my current job, perfect! I put in my two-weeks the following Friday and started packing immediately. With my new empty and extremely spacious Transit Connect I was able to fit all my necessary possessions in the back. I knew I had the temporary plate for Maryland but Id have to worry about that once I was in Michigan. And besides, it was only July,22nd 2014 and I still had two weeks left for my temporary plate. Plenty of time for someone at the Lindsay Ford of Wheaton, Maryland(11250 Veirs Mill Rd, Wheaton, MD 20902) dealership to copy a few papers and make a phone call or two. Or so I thought.I arrived in Michigan and rested after a long drive in my exceptionally comfortable new car. Feeling pleased with my purchase and satisfied my ideas were coming to fruition. Although, the excitement of moving, beginning a new chapter of my life and starting a business would soon all be extinguished and transformed irrevocably into an amalgamation of anger, dissapointment and hopelessness.I called the dealership and explained my situation on August 4th,2014, one day before my temporary plate expired. Luckily for the dealership I was taking a trip for a week and didnt need my car that week so wasnt worried if it took a few days to get me what I needed. I was transferred to a man in the Finance Department by the name of Bill Dufrain(11250 Veirs Mill Rd, Wheaton, MD 20902). He sounded a little confused about everything transferring between states and said he would call me back after he spoke with someone who knew more on the subject. An hour or two later I received the one AND ONLY call back from him I would ever receive. He stated I needed to fax my new Michigan Drivers License and Insurance. Since I had already been at the Secretary of State in Michigan twice now trying to get things resolved outside the dealership, I already had all the documents he needed to complete the process. I said, Ok great, Ill fax these over to you in a few minutes. Let me know when you get them. I waited two hours, faxed everything again from a different fax machine as well as call the number confirming the annoying buzzing network screeches of a fax number and just to make sure it was going through. Everything was working great, except for the Bill. So I called him back. He said he received the documents and didnt seem concerned that I wouldve appreciated a call back or for him to work a bit more expeditiously than he was used to. He claimed he could take care of it with everything I faxed and would be, working on it for me. I felt comforted and even wrote Thank You for the Amazing Service on the Fax. It sounded like I could return from my trip with everything completed and legally ready to drive it. I didnt get cell phone reception where I was so when I entered a service area I got numerous notifications. None were from Bill Dufrain. I was irritated but not quite angry yet since I was still working on getting business ideas together and enjoying more days of freedom before I would start work on a job I had the opportunity to work on. I called the dealership and asked to be transferred to Bill Dufrain. I got his voicemail. So I left a courteous message asking him to return my call about the status of my license transfer situation. I took another flight again for a few days on a business trip, so I wouldnt need my car for another couple days and thought, certainly Ill get something from this guy when I return itll have been nearly two weeks then. Nothing! I called immediately upon my return in mid to late August. Asked to be transferred to this guy and to my surprise he answered, which was also THE LAST TIME I ever spoke to him. Finance Department, This is Bii as I just cut him off, stating my name and asking if he had any information on my situation. He stammered, fumbled words and just sounded like a moron, even tried to play dumb and put some of the problem on me, Yeah its me Bill, why havent you returned my message from a week and a half ago? I could hear his brain cells bouncing around on the other end of the phone, trying to align themselves to what was happening. Oh youre the guy with the out-of-state license!??...duhh.. yeah, we are working on it. It just takes some time since you didnt register it here and the bank has the title. As if he completely forgot about me and mustve put my fax into the garbage bin because it just required too much work. I questioned him why he told me to fax my info making it sound as if he could complete the process quickly two weeks prior. I didnt ask for it next day, he had a week and a half to do something! I really just wanted an update since I was unaware of where we were in this process. I knew it may take a few days or a week and was completely fine with that. However I am not fine having no one return my calls nor giving me an update on how much longer Id be waiting. All I heard were squabbles and finally, We are working on it. I will get back to you. Bill Dufrain said, the last time I heard his voice. Chapter 6. Fool me Once, Shame on Me - Have Me Wait in DMV Line 5 Times, Shame On You!At this point I couldnt drive my car, which meant I couldnt work. Which made me question why I was paying for this Dinosaur Egg these people had sold me. I could just look at it and imagine what it could have been as my drive motivation and excitement faded rapidly. Ive been scammed. xxxx, they got me good, I thought. They got all of my money but didnt have to do or try to do a single thing for me afterwards. By this time I had already been to the Michigan Secretary of State(SOS) twice trying to go around this dealership from xxxx. I called family members and friends asking to borrow their car because I couldnt drive my own to accomplish these tasks. The SOS needed a current title or valid registration of which I had neither and told me to call the bank because they hold onto the title until the car is paid off. I left and I called the bank. They needed an Out of State Title Request Form from the bank where my loan was from. So I went back to the SOS for the third time now waiting in outrageous lines over and over because of my incompetent car dealership. I went up to the counter frustrated and asked them to fax this document the bank needed. I also asked for a temporary license plate so I didnt have to bother other people for their cars and so maybe I could work. My request was denied. Of course, they were not open on the weekends and said it would be taken care of early next week. I allowed ample time for them to fax it. Waited six days then I called my bank to see if they had received this document.Turns out the fax had never through and the bank never got it a week later. Meanwhile as I waited trying to take care of it by other means I had received a message on 8-27-14 from Kathy Minor of Lindsay Ford(11250 Veirs Mill Rd, Wheaton, MD 20902). Her message sounded as if she was irritated but was at least trying to resolve the issue and get rid of me. Hello, My name is Kathy.in order to take care of everything I need you to fax Ohio Driver License and Ohio Insurance. Please call myself or BillThank you. I never said anything about Ohio but it somehow turned into another state. The funny part was she had asked me to fax the same exact documents I faxed to Bill a month ago! They were certainly in the garbage or underneath the coloring books on these peoples desks. I returned her call the next morning, no answer. I tried again an hour later, same result. They must be at lunch, probably a huge Lindsay Ford luncheon funded by ME. Ill call back later today, I said to myself. I called back around 4:00pm I screamed into the phone just before the beep, as the answering machine picked up for the third time in six hours. Left a message that I needed to fax some documents to Kathy Minor, explained my problem and I needed an update.I stopped trying to deal with the dealership at this point and was just focused on circumventing them and handling it with the bank. I immediately went back to the SOS in Michigan before they closed. Luckily I had been here so many times these people started to recognize me and made sure I got a Return Pass as to not have to wait anymore because they knew Id probably be back. I went to the front of the line with every personal I.D. document and car-related item I had. Walked up with haste like someone had a knife to my back. Put my things on the table and in a stern voice stated that I needed this faxed and it never went through. I need you to fax these documents, to these numbers, and I need copies of everything, please. Now! The lady went to get the manager who was very understanding of how absurd this paperwork process was. She was also compassionate enough to realize I couldnt work or drive. But only after I came for the fifth time about to cause a scene did I get my Michigan Temporary License. Valid from 8-27-14 through 9-27-14.I had all my copies and knew the fax went through. Just had to wait 10 days for the bank to process things. I called the bank two weeks later and they had received everything however, they did not have the title yet. The dealership had never filed it or sent it to them. All this waiting for nothing. Going around them wasnt going to work so Id have to call them back.Chapter 7. The Ol Bait n SwitchTwo weeks after I had left my message with no response, I called back. Still No Answer! I left an angry voicemail that no one has returned my calls, I cant drive this Dinosaur Egg I purchased for over $20,000 and explained my situation again and made certain they knew that Bill Dufrain was incompetent. I also noted that my second temporary plate was going to expire in three days. The next day I received a call from someone named Barry from a Virginia phone number, some other branch of Lindsay Ford(11250 Veirs Mill Rd, Wheaton, MD 20902). Not even a response from my own dealership. This Barry guy I spoke to tried to be as cooperative as possible and understand my frustration. What did he need? The same xxxx I had been faxing to these people for TWO months! I told him give me ten minutes and I will fax it. I called back 20 minutes after it went through. Barry answered, knowing it was me without a polite hello, Yes sir, weve got it and we will be working on it. I replied, Ok, Thank you for your help. Please update me when you have any details on this issue. I wasnt going to be angry with him since it seemed he was just someone people who dont work, pass their work to. No reply from this Barry person for two days so I called his number back. I got the voicemail of someone else, not Barry, and left a message with him explaining how angry I was and I had two days left of my second temporary license. At this point I was more than defeated. I had a job to do and risked getting a ticket or arrested so I could make money, so I could then pay for my Transit Connect, so I could then just hopefully use it like anyone buying something for thousands of dollars would hope. I left that message on a Thursday, my plates expired that Saturday and just as I was about to call the dealership back six days later on Tuesday. I got a call from Kathy Minor on October 1st,2014. Did you get the documents we need you to sign? I nearly laughed, What documents? No one told me I should be expecting anything. I faxed Bill TWO MONTHS ago. Faxed Barry A WEEK ago and asked him to update me but havent heard from him She said she would send them through FedEx, some Power of Attorney documents I needed to sign so they could legally take care of everything in my name since I was out of state. A politely asked her, If theres any way you could send a temporary plate, a dealer plate or something until this is resolved I would greatly appreciate it as I cant drive my car or work. And I need to do these things to pay for the car I bought from you. Update me with any information you have too please. I didnt get a comforting, yes I can send that or a no, unfortunately we cant do that but, Ill see what I can do. I knew I wasnt getting it, that would require doing that thing I discussed earlier where she would be compensated for taking a piece of paper that says Temp Plate on it and putting it in the envelope with the other documents. I wasnt going to wait for me to get the documents, send them back and then hope to God, Zues or whomever they took care of it in a timely manner when she got them a week later. I was going to go see them in person and make something happen! Little did they know, I had purchased a flight from the Detroit Airport to Dulles in Virginia and would arrive there on Saturday October 5th, 2014. I received Kathy Minors FedEx the night before, not surprised the least bit there was no temporary license if even for one or two days, then signed it and put it in my backpack as I would be at the dealership soon enough!Chapter 8. Taking Care of Business and Not Working Overtime or Any TimeI arrived at Dulles airport nice and early that Saturday. Organized all my documents and tried to stay calm on the hour long WMATA train ride to the dealership in Wheaton, Maryland(11250 Veirs Mill Rd, Wheaton, MD 20902). As I wondered how many other people on this train or in the entire city, had just gotten off a plane to go to their dealership to give them two pieces of paper and then return the following morning. Probably not many, I figured. I must be lucky.I arrived with my backpack full of a days worth of items with my documents held firmly in my hand, passed a gentleman filling a car with a small lawnmower gas can then walked in like I was the only one there they needed to help. First I asked for June, my fantastic Saleswoman and the only person who did their job properly since I handed them a $10,000 check. She had left a voicemail with me back in early August to see how everything was going but I didnt want to bother her with the truth. No one answered when I returned her call a few days after, not even a voicemail where I could leave a message. The girl at the front desk playing Facebook on her phone said she no longer worked there. Oh, Ok well is Kathy Minor here? I replied. Shes not here today the Finance Department doesnt work on weekends. Not phased at all with that remark I said, Oh, well I have a delivery for her and I just flew from Michigan is there anyone here who does work, working, that I could speak with? One moment please, she said as she put down her cell phone for the work phone to accommodate my request. In from the back comes Kyle Bacon, Finance Director(11250 Veirs Mill Rd, Wheaton, MD 20902). Sounds important but then again so does a Title and Legal Documents for your $20,000 purchase.I explained how I just flew here and needed to deliver something to Kathy. He was very sympathetic and apologetic to my absurd circumstances. I need you to get these paper to Kathy and I also need a temporary plate because I have already yelled at my SOS and got one from them, which is now expired and until these papers are taken care of I need to drive my car, I proclaimed. I also informed Kyle how I politely asked for one to be sent to me with these documents but to no avail I had to come here in person. I gave him my papers, the same papers which four or five people at Lindsay Ford had at this point and he went to the back to copy them. Returning roughly four minutes later with a temporary plate until 12-7-14 along with my papers. I felt somewhat relieved. Mission accomplished! Well, not really but I got my papers on her desk faster than sending them could have got them there, Kyle physically did that thing you do to get compensated for helping a customer trying to resolve a problem AND I have a temporary plate(my THIRD one now).I stood in the middle of the Sales Floor and explained my situation with disregard if anyone heard, as I did not care at all and hoped they did. About 30 minutes goes by and he informs me certain people and their dealership in general have had trouble getting back to people and performing basic customer service. Which after I heard, Squabblesquabbleexcusesquabbleunreasonable reasonexcuse, then followed by more squabbling. I was very courteous with him and beyond anger now since I just needed someone to understand. He was also very accommodating with me and so I was even nice enough to give him some suggestions. Get a corkboard titled-Unhappy Customers- make it noticeable to everyone and make sure people follow-up. All I have wanted was an update from anyone, I have been able to make things work on my end somehow and figured this paperwork would take some time but not three months! He agreed with something like that helping the dealership, mainly just trying to keep me calm I think so I didnt cause more of a scene essentially helping to release currently trapped meals to break free from this Dinosaur Nest. He did a good job of that and whether he cared or not about what I was saying, he made it seem like he did. Kyle handed me his card and said he will follow-up with me. Please, just update me, I nearly begged as I continued, put post-it notes on these papers, talk about it in your meetings. Most importantly JUST call me back. If youre not working on Monday, have someone else call. Or call me on your day off to tell me what you had for breakfast and that there were no updates yet. Anything. I dont know where Kathy is sending these documents or what I need to do on my end when Im back in Michigan. He had helped quite a bit and I thought showing up in person had made a large enough statement supporting what he had agreed was wrong with his dealership. For some reason I felt ok as I headed back to the Metro Station that Saturday, October 5th, 2014..Man, am I an idiot!Chapter 9. (Final Chapter Left Un-Titled) Just Like My 2014 Ford Transit ConnectToday is October 23rd, 2014. I bought my Ford Transit Connect on June 6th,2014. I have not gotten a single phone call, message, e-mail, regular mail, apology, morse code signal or anything from Kyle Bacon, Kathy Minor, Bill Dufrain, the guy named Barry or anyone relating to Lindsay Ford at 11250 Veirs Mill Rd, Wheaton, MD 20902 since I left there the afternoon of October 5th,2014 after flying there from Michigan for a piece of paper to use my car which Ive got another month on. Until this temporary plate expires I plan on mailing free copies of this to those who may be interested whilst posting this on every review site I can find until I have MY PERMENENT LEGAL LICENSE PLATE. Also, since Im a few miles from the Ford Motor Company World Headquarters in Dearborn, maybe Ill swing by there too. SOMEONE! Please help me, so I can do that thing no one at Lindsay Ford does, so then I can pay for my Transit Connect that I wont be able to drive soon, again. Help me reclaim my aspiration, dreams and hope of my currently clouded future!Below, a few possible resolution options for this with varying degrees of work strenuousness and complexity which Lindsay Ford will likely pass off again:1 - I would like someone from the dealership to fly to Detroit, take public transportation to wait in line at the Michigan Secretary of State, then pay for my plate and Registration stickers, followed by a stop at a hardware store for a screwdriver to put my plate on for me sometime between the hours of 2am and 7am at their earliest convenience, please. 2 - They may also forego that time consuming endeavor by emailing me a free voucher for Fords fantastic 3M vinyl wrap service then simply mailing my title or Michigan Registration which couldve been accomplished three months ago.3 - Both #1 or #2 would help advertise my business or will suffice for my trouble. But if these options are too much work; It would also be fine to buy billboard space anywhere in America and on this billboard, list the steps I need to take to obtain my documents because I will never see them either way and my car will be a billboard soon anyway. (Please Note: This option allows you to do the least amount of work as I do not care where its located or how much it cost.)Sounds absurd? So does faxing the same thing to five different people, seven different times - becoming recognizable at the DMV - spending time you couldnt work writing a 12 page childrens book that Lindsay Ford might comprehend - paying hundreds of dollars to fly across the country for a piece of paper allowing you to work and then pay for the item you wont be able to use soon - and finally, NOT having the required legal documents or updates on how to obtain them, six months after you agreed to pay over $20,000 for a Dinosaur Egg!

I bought my vehicle in 2005 and contacted the dealership about warranty work for the undercoating that was applied back then. Samantha from the accessories department represented Lindsay Ford very well and because of her positive attitude, dedication to working with the customer and overall pleasant experience has bumped this dealer to the top of my list for future work/purchases. Great job Samantha!

So it is now the end of September and I understand why this dealership has such low ratings. While they have nice salesman (which I guess is normal) their finance and accounting department are awful!!!! After signing on the many dotted lines and agreeing to a rebate of $1500 dollars they called me back and said they were able to secure a loan at a lower interest rate...they didn't mention until I was there that this would lower the rebate price to $1250. When I got home and started reviewing the paperwork I noticed that the sales price was not the same as what was agreed to on the sales floor. So I went back to the dealership only to hear a lot of fast talking and math that made no sense. To get me to go away they told me Lindsay would cut a check to me for the difference between the original $1500 dollars and the $1250. To date this has not been resolved. A lady named Sarah contacted me and no longer remembers the conversation and questioned why I was upset over such a small amount...so I felt the need to update my review. It's really the principal of the matter. I shouldn't expect honesty from a car dealership but to question how I, the customer, am upset is over the top for me. In addition I never got my first bill. The never clearly explained the financing and why it appears that I paid sales tax and tag fee twice. I've been trying to get closure on this matter since August 12, 2014 and still do not have it. Tonight was the first time anyone in management has ever reached out to me. To get my first rebate check I had to camp at the dealership and refuse to leave. Don't bother to call, they won't return your call. If you do call don't worry about who you ask to speak to as the receptionist will transfer you to anyone especially she particularly like to transfer you to people who are out of the office or away from their desk. NEVER BUY A CAR HERE, while the car may be fine, you can get in and out quickly...the fine print and awful finance/accounting department will be unresponsive.

Our experience with Nicole Wallace was very great. She was very honest with us and friendly. Her customer service attitude was great--she answered all of my questions! She was a pleasant to work with! The finance man, Bill made signing all the paperwork easy! He was very nice and approachable and made our experience great. I would recommend this dealership for anyone who is looking for a great Ford car or truck! :)Sincerely, A very satisfied customer (Christine Dove)

This is on the used cars portion of the dealership which is across the street from the new cars lot.The salesman was nice, as well as the rest of the staff. This is a caring dealership that does what it takes to make the customers happy. If you're looking for a car, used or a new Ford. The car sold was in great condition and there were some issues that they paid out for replacing/repairing.The only two issues is processing took a bit long and the price listed online was including discounts that didn't normally apply to most people. If you are disabled there is a ramp and while the building is a little cramped they will make accommodations so you are comfortable.

What an AWFUL dealership! While they have better prices than some, you must wade through a pile of discounts you don't qualify for, fees that aren't stated outright, and the feeling of being swindled. They will not write anything down in a clear manner, and use terminology that non-car-dealers don't understand at a speed designed to leave you signing before you know what you are doing. Employees at the management level were shouting insults at each other across the sales floor on one of my visits, and every visit included the disorganized losing of the paperwork I had completed previously, as well as being made to wait long times with no explanation. My last visit, while waiting next to a father/son that were waiting as well, I was asked about my experiences shopping for a Ford Fusion, as they were just beginning the search for the same car. I shared that my customer service experience had been much better in Frederick, but that the prices seemed to be able to go lower here. I did not advise anyone to go somewhere different. I was shouted at, across the sales floor, by the manager in charge of used car sales (who I'd had no interaction with). Because I had been telling other customers to shop somewhere else, something I told him was not true, he told me to leave. While I may not have been advising people to avoid this place before, I am now. Ridiculously rude, disorganized, and mismanaged. Not worth your time or money. Quite the opposite. Avoid them.

Our family just bought two cars from Lindsay Ford on the same day -- a brand new Ford C-Max hybrid and a slightly used Honda Prius. Our salesman -- Isaic Baloguir -- was wonderful. He showed us so many cars, and when we made our decisions, he helped us learn the bells and whistles in the new C-Max, and even drove one of the cars to our home. We also got a great financial deal -- we paid close to half price for the second car. We couldn't be more pleased with the whole experience and the decisions we finally made after visiting a number of other dealerships before going to Lindsay.

About a few weeks ago I purchased my first "big girl" car on my own credit. Being a young college student with high student loans, and with a server income, Lindsay Ford provided for a truly memorable & wonderful experience in purchasing my first "big girl" car, which was a 2008 Hyundai Elantra for a great price. My salesman, Avan Harris was full of integrity and extraordinarily helpful, friendly, personable, and patient with me & all my questions. Tim, "the finance guy" was also fun & very helpful in explaining all my inquiries with a great attitude and honesty, which is very important to me. Overall, in a normally tedious & boring process with car purchase paperwork, I had an absolute blast with these guys. I will definitely be referring any of my friends looking for a great affordable car & an awesome customer experience! Thanks so much!

I initially started working with Bill and he referred me to Antoine. Antoine was very helpful an attentive. He gave a thorough overview of the vehicle. Throughout the entire process, he was professional and answered all my questions. When I went into financing, I was treated well and the process with quick and painless. I got a great interest rate!Overall, I was treated like a valued customer and drove away with a new car, which was a great deal!

This dealership is a case where the right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing. I called in April to inquire about a CPO Ford Escape that I was really interested in, and hoped to purchase. Because I was out of state (a recent Marylander who moved to Ohio), it looked like I would have to purchase the vehicle sight unseen. Not preferred, but I didn't want to miss out on the opportunity. I spoke on the phone with one of the employees, and we made arrangements for him to fax me a contract. He texted me that he was in a meeting, but would respond as soon as he was out. That didn't happen.Later that night, another employee called me and asked if I was still interested. I said I was, and he wanted me to come out for a test drive. I explained that I was out of state and could not arrive in Maryland for another week, but that I was willing to buy the vehicle. He told me he would call me the next day.So then I called the next day, and the same individual asked if I wanted to come in for a test drive. "No, I can't because I'm out of state. I want to purchase the vehicle. Can you send me a contract?" He said he would and that was that. Alas, I still did not receive a contract. The next day, I spoke on the phone with yet another employee. He told me that it had been busy and these things happen, but he would help me out. He told me that, even though I had my financing already worked out, he would still need me to fill out the finance application so that I would be on file while working through the process, but that they wouldn't perform a hard check. I was told to let him know when I filled it out. I did so, but the processing apparently wasn't working. The next afternoon, I called him and asked if it went through so that we could work out the contract. He checked and said it went through... but lo and behold, the vehicle sold earlier that afternoon. I was livid.Simply put, it should not have taken three days and three individuals to figure out how to send a contract to a customer who wants to buy. I understand my buying experience of purchasing sight unseen isn't a typical one, and likely would have its complications, but the incompetence is baffling. I hope the in-person experience is as great as the reviews suggest, because my experience was terrible. To top it all off, another employee called me a week later, telling me that the individual who had purchased the vehicle returned it, because s/he wanted a larger SUV. He wanted to know if I was still interested in it. I should have said no, but the price was too good to pass up. He sent me an email with the details of the vehicle... it was the wrong Ford Escape. Figures. Finally, today I checked my credit report, and wouldn't you know that I have a hard inquiry on behalf of Lindsay Ford. Thus, even though I'm not someone who really ever reviews things, people, places, etc., I couldn't let this go. For one of their employees to even tell me I chose the right dealership, because the other Southern MD, DC, & Northern VA dealers aren't good ones, they must be on something. Lindsay Ford was the worst dealer I dealt with (and I spoke with plenty in Ohio and a few in Maryland).

Hey folks they are under new management, and I can tell you it was a great move! I went there to buy my daughter a car last Sunday. Isiaq was the salesman that helped me as I walked into the showroom. He was very nice and helpful, I told him I had seen a Fiesta on Cars.com and wanted to buy it. He took me straight to the car and opened it up. Started explaining all the options, safety features and offered me a test drive. We rove it around and he told me about the new management at the dealership. I enjoyed his knowledge and friendliness.Back at the dealership I gave him my offer and a few minutes later the finance manager Dilia came over and gave me a counter offer. Dilia was very nice explaining the offered that were available to me and that I should not have any problem getting the zero percent Ford financing. Shortly after I gave her my counteroffer she left and the sales manager Sarah came to the table. She came within a few dollars of my last offer, and I accepted the terms and bought the Fiesta. As I was signing the paperwork, with Dilia for the Fiesta, I had seen a Fusion on the lot and a Sarah came in and I asked her if she fought she could match my payment on my 2013 Ford Taurus. She said no problem. I didn't think she would be able to but before I finished all the paperwork on the Fiesta, she came in with a payment $20 more that the Taurus.Isiaq the sale men offered to drive one of the cars home for me and Dilia was awesome at making sure the two cars were perfect before they were delivered to me.I'm not sure about your experiences with buying cars, but out of the nine new cars and two used cars I have bought in my life, this was hands down the best transaction ever! I recommend the Lindsay Ford Team for your next car purchase.A few days later I went back to the dealership to pick up a few items I had left in the Taurus, I met Mike the General manager. He's the type that if you have a problem, he wants to know about it, to fix it! I bragged to him about how great he's sales team was and he made me feel like part of the Lindsay Ford family...THANKS LINDSAY FORD FOR MY TWO NEW CARS!

Where do I start Bought the car and left it there for 3 days to have it cleaned and to have some minor body work done. When I returned to pick the car up, much to my surprise the work wasnt done and thats just the start of the problems. Driving home from the dealership a warning light went on so I stopped to have it looked at. There was a bad sensor that needed to be replaced. The dealership did pay the $116 for that. I brought the car home on a Friday night and first thing Monday morning I took the car to the Honda dealership to have the whole car checked just so that I knew I had a solid car. Well come to find out there was some work that needed to be done. Just so you dont thing the Honda dealership was trying to make money I took it to 2 different ones and both told me the same thing. 2 weeks later, the TPMS warning light came on again and come to find out 1 of the tires on the car had 2 plugs & a patch so that was yet another expenseTwo tires, rotating the tires & balancing them. When I called the dealership and spoke to Mike the GM, he basically told me that its not cost effective for the dealership to invest money into the used cars they sell and as long as it passes inspection thats what matters. Well, in my opinion thats a bunch of crap. If Im writing you a check for $20,000 I should not only drive away with a solid/reliable car, but I shouldnt feel like I was sold someone elses problems! It took 2 months to get the registration and 5 phone calls, the features that were listed on the window sticker that the car was supposed to have well guess what they were wrong! I didnt find out about that until after I bought the car and when I questioned the GM about it, his response was the person who handles that was making a lot of mistakes and doesnt work there anymore. ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!! This place is a complete joke and this is the type of service that gives used car salesmen the reputation they have. I would think twice about buying a car at this dealership because they havent grasped the concept of service after the sale.

Russ Blummer (Sales Manager) was excellent to work with and is very knowledgeable about the car business. After dealing with four different dealerships, he got me the price I wanted for my trade and beat out all the other ones for pricing on the new vehicle. If it hadn't been for him, I may have made a deal elsewhere. Eric Deloatch was the only sales person of the four dealerships, that made it convenient for my very busy schedule, and picked me up on my lunch break for a test drive. He even helped me clean my truck out after the deal was made. Daniel Ford (Business Manager) had me financed ready to go extremely fast so I could make it to school on time. Thanks to all their help this process made my experience great!

Two weeks ago I had come into Lindsay ford to purchase a 2014 Ford Explorer XLT that I saw online. After going in I spoke with a gentleman and had a very unpleasant experience in which I quickly sent an email to Lindsay Ford to express, in not the kindest ways, my frustrations. Hours after sending an email to Lindsay Ford i received a message from Mike Engle, the general manager, as well as I a phone call from Mike Traish, the sales manager. He apologized for the experience and asked if there was anything they could do. I explained to him that I wanted a specific truck and that's why I even came there in the first place. Mike assured me that he would do whatever he could to make sure my experience with Lindsay Ford was great. I needed up coming back to meet with the Sales Associate Randy Flock. He was super friendly, he showed me new & used models, explaining everything. He understood what I wanted while not trying to sell me something I did not want. While looking for the perfect car the General Sales Manager Sarah Byrd came up and introduced herself. She was aware of my first experience and really tried to make sure it was not repeated. During the entire process I was I contact with Mike Traish to make sure everything was going perfectly. Between Randy, Sarah, & Mike's help, I found the perfect car and I did not make the process easy. They went beyond my expectations. And I look forward to purchasing many more cars from Lindsay Ford of Wheaton.

I had a great experience at this dealership and purchased a 2014 Focus, after having already visited several other dealerships in the area. Antoine Tindal was extremely helpful and patiently answered all of my questions ranging from specifics about the car (2014 Focus) to questions about financing. What I liked most is that Antoine and the others were straight shooters and not too pushy. I told them what I liked and they tried to accommodate me as best as they could on a price and payment plan that met my financing goals. Many of the other folks in the office were also friendly and helpful. Dan Ford was especially helpful in finalizing the purchase...despite not having all of my paperwork in order he was able to help me out. I would recommend this dealership!

My wife Susan and I recently bought a new 2014 Ford Explorer at Lindsay Ford and we were very happy with the experience. We had visited another Ford dealership closer to our home in Damascus MD before we went there but were not happy with the trade in allowance offered on our old 2008 Explorer. We initially contacted Lindsay Ford via the internet and then showed up unexpectantly on a Saturday afternoon. We were immediately welcomed on the lot by a salesperson Antoine who made us feel very comfortable as buying a new vehicle can be very stressful experience. Antoine asked if we had come to see anyone in particular but I had forgotten the salesperson's name. Antoine was able to look it up but that salesperson was helping another customer at the time so Antoine assisted us from start to finish. He was very professional, knowledgeble and courteous throughout the whole buying process and we made the purchase because of his excellent service. The Customer Service Manager, Sales Manager and Finance Managers who we also met were also helpful but Antoine made the difference in our buying decision and we highly recommend him.

I started my new car search by going to www.truecar.com. After plugging in the type of car I was looking for, which was a 2014 Ford Focus, I received a phone call from a True Car Sales Person by the name of Ski from Lindsay Ford of Weaton inviting me to come look at some of their cars. At the time of the call, I was standing in a consignment shop, owned by one of my dear friends, talking to her partner. I told him about the call and he suggested that I go look at some new cars since the one that I was driving kept cutting off at traffic lights and stop signs, and he was concerned about the safety of my two kids. He knew of this because on a very cold day this pass winter, my kids and I were on our way to Silver Spring and we say him walking. At first I passed him, but then turned around to offer him a ride since I knew that I would want someone to do the same for me on such a blistering cold day. "Hop in and thaw out", I shouted to him after winding down my window. He accepted, but then I was embarrassed because my kids were in the back seat and my car kept cutting off. I was thinking, "he must think I am a bad mommy". I was glad he didn't need me to dropped him off across the street when I stopped at the gas station. He volunteered to walk the rest of the way. I was thinking, "I hope he was able to warm up a bit before continuing to walk in that awful cold. Well, off to Silver Spring we went. Anyway, getting back to why I decided to write this review. When I got to Lindsay, I met with the Salesperson April who was very friendly and who was gracious enough to do two test drives with me and my daughter. The first car was a 2014 Ford Fiesta. I liked this car but thought it did not provide enough room. The second car, in which April drove, was a 2014 Ford Fusion Hybrid. I loved this car, especially the thought of saving gas but, this car was out of my price range. The car that I finally, settled on is a 2014 Ford Focus that was sold to me by the Salesman Ski. I loved working with Ski. He walked me thru the whole new car buying process. He convinced me to trade in my 2002 Ford Focus. I got a manufacturer's incentive, and the dealer help with a down payment. I also received financing. My kids and I are very happy with our purchase. I have a car that won't cut off on me, and that I feel confident in driving my kids around in. And my kids have a car that has a USB port that they can charge their ipods and iphone in. I am so appreciative of what Lindsay Ford has done for my family. All the employees there were wonderful and made us feel right at home, and I will never forget them. La Senia

Avan Harris is a great salesperson. He too the time to look at several different vehicles with me, making sure that I found the right one. He was kind, courteous, patient and knowledgeable. I was scheduled to meet with him and I wanted to cancel because the vehicle I was interested in was already sold, but he told me to come in still as he was positive that he could still find me a vehicle. And sure enough he did. He didn't just treat me like a customer who's business he needed, but as a person, and I appreciated that. So I highly recommend that you visit Avan at Lindsay Ford of Wheaton, MD.

My experience at Lindsay Ford was excellent. I worked with Doug Jackson who gave me and my wife his full attention. He respected our intelligence and didn't try to sell me with silly cliches. Instead he listened to what we wanted and tried to satisfy us completely. Once we determined the correct car, Steve Waldron (the sales manager) worked with us to structure a fair deal. Steve was also very respectful and in the end, all of us were happy. I highly recommend the dealership and seek out Doug Jackson to work with you.

On a nice day in march, My wife and I had the smoothest car buying experience ever. No hassles, no worries, and NO BS. Avan showed us cars that fix your needs and wants, let us walk him around the lot a few times as we browsed and led us to our new used car.A great experience and i have recommended them to a few friends.

Great folks. I have clear dollar constraints that I was dealing with, and I was totally straightforward about it. As I explained to them, being at the max dollar budget did not mean that I was going to buy at that point, but rather that we could talk. I then said that I needed then to think about being incentivized or motivated to actually purchase the vehicle. The dealership was totally fair and helpful in working out a sale, which was at a figure totally acceptable all things considered. I was extremely pleased with how they and I conducted the discussion. I have no hesitation whatsoever to recommend to Ford buyers to purchase from Lindsay Ford of Wheaton. Ford has excellent product right now (2014), and this dealership is consumer friendly. It is a small dealership without fancy real estate or facility (but that just means lower overhead). There's a good "family" feel to the place. All the people I met were helpful, friendly, enthusiastic; I'm including in this the random guys that moved cars on the lot. That from bottom to top everyone seems to share the same commitment to the customer and making you feel welcome and appreciated is a great testament to management philosophy. I strongly encourage anyone looking at Ford to consider working with Lindsay Ford of Wheaton.

As a VA resident, this is the first time I ventured across the Potomac to assist my son/daughter-n-law in buying a new car from a MD dealer. Everything about Lindsay Ford was special. What led us there was the price, but the upbeat staff was professional and amazing. Sarah Byrd led the process for us and Tom LaGrave spent plenty of time (even on a busy Saturday morning) teaching my daughter-in-law the ins-and-outs of MyFordTouch. Car buying is usually so stressful -- but not at Lindsay Ford where life is good! :-)

Definitely enjoyed my experience despite my not purchasing the vehicle. These people do sales right. They placed the product in my hand from the beginning of the transaction and were eager to let me experience and share in their enthusiasm for the vehicle. Avan personally saw to it that every discount available was applied to the cost of the car as well as bringing in another sales manager to help me best reach my goals financially with the car.

Maribel was wonderful! The sale took nearly all day, and she stayed with us the whole time. When I called, the gentleman who answered the phone made an appointment with me knowing that he had a doctor's appointment the next day, so when I arrived after a 2 hour drive from Pennsylvania, he wasn't there. But Maribel stepped in and was fantastic. Since the man knew he wouldn't be available when he made the appointment, Maribel deserves 100% of the commission, she was the person who sold me the car, Please take this into consideration; splitting commission can easily be taken advantage of, such as this case in point..

I was very pleased with my overall experience with Lindsay Ford of Wheaton. When I first entered the lot I was immediately and pleasantly greeted by a salesperson who I now know to be Maribel Rosales. I was interested in a specific vehicle but the vehicle had been sold. Ms. Rosales suggested I look at a Toyota Camry that was on the lot. I was not too familiar with Camry's and wanted to do a little research on the year, make and model that was shown to me. I left the lot, did my research at a nearby library and very quickly contacted Maribel and returned to test drive the vehicle. Ms. Rosales was very accommodating and explained quite a bit about the Camry's features. I was sold and let Ms. Rosales know that I wanted to purchase the vehicle. We sealed the deal that day and I am very pleased with my purchase and with the salesperson, Ms. Maribel Rosales.

My husband and I bought a 2002 Subaru Impreza WRX on 1/10/14 from Lindsay Ford of Wheaton used car lot. Francisco Ramos (Salesman) and Tavin Indasorn (Supervisor) treated my husband and I with honesty, respect and professionalism. We had a excellent car buying experience here at Lindsay Ford of Wheaton. Francisco and Tavin Customer Service was superb. They went over and beyond the call of duty to make sure we were happy and satisfied (that's true customer service). We did not feel rushed or coerced in buying a vehicle. The vehicle that we purchased was in excellent condition (not a lemon). The price of the vehicle was the lowest in town. My husband and I walked away from 3 dealerships that day because the service and the vehicles did not meet our standards. In all our car buying years, my husband and I have been treated the best here at Lindsay Ford of Wheaton along with a record setting 2 hours to complete our purchase. We would never forget our experience here at Lindsay Ford of Wheaton. Would I recommend our family and friends to Lindsay Ford of Wheaton? Yes I most certainly would!!!! I would highly recommend Francisco Ramos as a salesman for your next car. He was very straightforward with me throughout the whole process. This was my first car purchase and he helped me to understand things when I was confused. He wasn't pushy or pressuring at all when I felt uncomfortable with anything that I wasn't familiar with or wanted more time to look over (i.e. APR shopping, looking for other models, asking tons of questions). He was extremely friendly and was always available to help me out, even when I popped in on his lunch hour or near his quitting time for the day. Even gave me a ride back to the Metro. He also quite literally saved Thanksgiving for me when a minor repair (that ended up being free) took longer than expected and I was stuck without a way to get to my relatives' home. That was after I had already purchased the car too. I was very pleased with this salesman and would recommend him to anyone I knew looking for a car in the future.

This is just a advise for all the Ford costumers that Lease a new car like I did, if the car comes with defect be advise that this dealer can not provide a transportation while the car is in the shop regardless the days it takes to fix it. Avoid work with John Kernan or Jim Davie, John can never help you and Jim does not return calls.

There may be other service departments less functional and friendly, but fortunately I haven't come across them in my long years of car ownership, The current car, a 2013 Fusion, has had two safety recalls and three of what Ford calls "consumer satisfaction" updates. For my sins, I had the work done at Lindsay Ford. Two of the items were completed without much pain, but I had to return numerous times to get the other three straightened out. During my hours in the waiting room, I witnessed an unhappy service department that appears to give little thought to the concerns and convenience of its customers. Over the past year, I have observed a steady decline in the quality of service that does not seem to hold out much promise for the future.

I would recommed dealership, but would not recommend anyone to make a purchase from Avan Harris. Avan made promises that he didi not keep. (1) He promised to have the car topped off with fuel at the time of purchase. This did not happen. Upon entering the car I noticed that the gas meter read 1/4 tank. (2) Avan promised to mail me floor mats the following day. This never happened as well. (3) Most alarming was that Avan sold me a warranty identical to one previously purchased. The next day, I realized this and called for a refund. Avan advised and insisted that the "warranty certificate had gone out and couldn't be refunded". After reading the warranty packet I found out that this was not true. The warranty packet stated that I had 30 days to cancel the warranty. I alerted management of what happened and the management team at Linsday of Wheaton quickly resolved the matter. Again, I would recommend the dealership because of the swift action taken to resolve a problem; however, I would not recommend Avan Harris to anyone!!!

This dealer had the car I wanted at a good price, but their misleading, if not dishonest, advertising made me feel like I was being shafted. The salespeople were fine--friendly but definitely selling. Their advertising stated that the car I wanted was being sold for $5000 less than MSRP, plus 125% of trade-in value. Turns our neither was true. The discount was still very good, but closer to 4000 (essentially they were selling the car for $5000 off MSRP including destination charge, but then adding the destination charge to the price). As for the trade in value, they were not willing to offer me anywhere close to the bluebook trade in value of my car. They also had a good financing offer, but I did not get far enough to find the catches there. In addition, I had a hard time getting information from them before walking in the door. Needless to say, despite their competitive prices, I did not buy from them.

Horrible Service Center! Go somewhere else! Made an appointment for some recall work and a state inspection for a Friday morning. Dropped the car off the night before in order to have it there by 9 am. Got a call at 8:30 Friday morning that the inspection could go ahead, but the recall wouldn't be completed until Monday evening. What's the point of making an appointment 3 days in advance if I've already gone through the hassle of juggling my 2 year old and his childcare to get the car there at the scheduled time, only to have the dealership hold me hostage! Now I'm stranded in suburbia without a car. Save yourself the hassle and go somewhere that values your time and effort by responding in kind.

I bought a 2013 Fusion, had electrical problems since the beginning. I brought it in 4 times they kept blaming my phone for the issues of the radio not working or the gps losing connection. Finally when the electric windows stopped working, they replaced the car. I had to bring it in for a remote start install, and they lost my keys. I had to wait for them to order a machine to make new keys, and when it came in, I called to see if it was ready before I came in. They said yes. I went to get the key cut, and sat there another hour (my 6th visit today). I was told the machine didn't work, I will have to come back next week to have another key cut after they fix it. So many issues since the beginning.

He really took my budget into consideration and didn't pressure me at all. I wish all salespeople worked the same way as him!!As far as my overall experience, everything went really smoothly. I test drove several cars so couldnt make a decision on which car I wanted, but even then I didnt feel pressure to make a decision and I appreciate that as well. I should have listened to my instinct when the 1st car i test drove broke down during the drive. But no, the salesperson was very nice and friendly and I felt comfortable with him. I ended up purchasing a used Honda with the understanding that the dealership would assist me in making a smallrepair to my existing leased vehicle and return the vehicle. "We do this all the time" I was told.2 weeks later I called Lindsey Ford to inquire about the leased vehicle that was due to be returned that day (end of lease).I was told they still had the car and no repair had been done. Since I was still responsible for the car I ended up driving to Wheaton, picking up the leased car, and returning it myself to the leased company and of course paying for the needed repair.I felt swindled and lied to. Shame on these men. I am a single woman and felt taken advantage of. I realized later that i did not getanything in writing in regards to the repair and return of my leased vehicle so it was easy for them to get out of doing what they said they would do. I am from the school of expecting professional business people to do what they say they are going to do.

I went to Lindsey Ford after reading the positive reviews on Dealer Rater. As a first time buyer, I was worried that I could get taken advantage of when it came to buying, so I wanted to make sure I went to a highly regarded dealer. Unfortunately, my first car buying experience could not have gone any worse. I knew I wanted to buy a V-6 Mustang, and luckily they had many in stock. I emailed the internet sales manager for a price quote, which she responded with an email quoting me for the exact model I wanted for under $18,000. When I went into the dealership for a test drive, I asked my salesperson if that price would still be honored, which he said it would be. I came back a few days later, ready to be buy, when the salesperson "crunched the numbers" for me and came back with a price $4,500 more than what the internet manager told me. I showed him the email I was given and he went back to the head desk, only to return with one of the managers, who told me they couldnt honor that price and could only come down to $20,000. Upset, I threatened to leave and they brought over another manager who told me they couldnt honor the price because the internet manager gave me a bad quote and was subsequently fired. He said he could bring the price down to $19,500. Because I budgeted for the original price quote, I had to go home and think about the deal. I ultimately decided to buy the car at the agreed upon $19,500. Test drove the car one more time, confirmed our deal and was brought into the finance manager's office. As we were going through the paperwork, I noticed the numbers didnt match up and the car sales price was for $21,000, not our agreed upon $19,500. I informed him of our deal, he gave me a look and said they would never sell that low and I demanded I see the manager I talked with a few days before. When I reminded him of our deal, he said he didnt recall making such a deal. I went into a bit of fit, as I had a very small window to buy (I was moving) and had already wasted so much of my time with them, I just wanted what I was promised! He agreed to put the price back to $19,500 but told me several times it was highly unusual and he did it as a favor so I would have an overall positive experience and give the dealership high reviews when Ford asked. After we finally had the numbers agreed on, the finance manager went into the usual dance of pressure selling me unneccesary add-ons. I repeatedly told him I did not want them or need them and he tried the sympathy card, begging me to buy extras so he could meet his quota. My dealings with my salesperson were very positive, but it was the managers that ruined the experience. They knew I was a first time buyer and I cant classify their behavior as anything less than trying to take advantage of me. Between the lure-in price, bringing two managers into the conversation between my salesperson and I, "forgetting" about deals that were made and trying to sneak extra dollars into the invoice, and the sad attempts to get me to buy extras, I do not recommend Lindsey Ford if you are buying, especially if you are a first timer like I was. I cant comment on their service department, as I did not deal with them.

A truly AMAZING experience... Our 12th vehicle since moving to the Jersey Shore in 1996. In almost seventeen (17) years of purchases since, the BEST experience by far! A highly recommended dealership which should be given consideration as they are "many car lengths" ahead of the competition... We live at the Jersey Shore approximately 200 miles from the nearest Lindsay dealership. From the very beginning we advised Jantrar (Sales Associate) and Tavin (General Manager) that we wouldn't travel such a great distance unless the vehicle was PERFECT and the deal was exceptional. Jantrar and Tavin made an amazing offer which eliminated the competition from the very beginning! Certainly an offer which justified a nearly eight (8) hours round trip transaction. Every number and detail was professionally and clearly disclosed far in advance without exception. After we traveled nearly four (4) hours travel time, we were greeted by our sales associate (Jantrar), who offered us food and beverage for such a long journey. Afterwards, we were led to the vehicle (2010 Lexus RX350) which was EXACTLY as described. As we arrived close to the end of business day over the weekend, the General Sales Manager (Giles Mulligan) allowed us to take the vehicle home and offered to FedEx the remaining paperwork the following week. *What could be easier and more accommodating? The drive home was a sincere pleasure as the entire experience exceeded our expectations... Our sales associate (Jantrar) followed up with us over the weekend and continued to do so the following week. He simply wanted to make sure we were still 100% satisfied with our transaction. This is by far what a car buying experience should be! A very warm and professional experience to say the least. We would recommend this dealership, Jantrar and this team of professionals to anyone who seeks the best in the business. My 'only' critique would be: 1) that Lindsay would consider opening a location in the NY Metro area and 2) that FedEx could have taken better care when delivering Lindsay's package to us in the rain. ;) Thank you Gentleman... You've earned a life long customer! With Many Warm Regards, Adrienne & Family

My sales representative, Kevin Bailey, went out of his way to be sure I got the particular car I wanted, even driving to a faraway dealership to pick it up, taking several hours out of his day. The car I bought (Ford Fiesta) was not an especially expensive or fancy one, but I got first-class service all the way through. Everyone was a pleasure to deal with, including the manager, Steve Sweeney, and the financing expert, Mark Law. The dealership as a whole was extremely busy, lots of cars being sold and serviced, so I think they must be doing something right.

I had a really good experience buying my first new car from Lindsay Ford. I knew I wanted a Ford Fiesta, and they told me the Fiesta Sedan S that I wanted was available. However, when I arrived, it had already been sold. My salesperson Kevin Bailey was really great, and honestly felt badly that I had been incorrectly told something was available that ultimately was not. He found the vehicle I wanted in Gaithersburg and personally drove out there to get it for me so that I could drive it home the same evening. I was expecting a situation where salespeople would try to bamboozle me, but Kevin was really genuine and helpful, and I could tell he really wanted to help me a great deal (which i ultimately did, because the dealership was giving $4K off for the Black Friday deal!). Anyway, everyone there was great, including Mark Law, the gentleman who helped me with financing, and Steve Sweeney, the sales manager. I had a great experience and would highly recommend both the dealership and the people I worked with.

I was in the market for a fully loaded 2013 Ford Fusion Hybrid. Originally, I was contacted by Mr. Frank Destefano. Because the 2013 Ford Fusion Hybrid is a very new car, there are very few available with all the options I was requesting. Frank worked to find such a car for me, but sadly left the business a few weeks after we met. His replacement was Mr. Jessell Sealy who worked diligently to find me the car I wanted. He honored all of Frank's quotes and searched as far away as Pennsylvania to get me a car. Jessell was professional, friendly, and responsive. I really felt he was truly working for me and not just trying to pressure me into what they had on the lot. I highly recommend him for your future Ford purchases.

He knew what I was looking for, which was a new vehicle that was affordable. Kevin Bailey provided the best customer service I have ever experienced. He was friendly, courteous, respectful, and knowledgeable about the products at Lindsay Ford in Wheaton, MD. I was a challenging customer because of my previous transactions with other dealerships in the Maryland area. Needless to say Kevin Bailey, Daniel J. Ford (business manager) and the whole financial team went above and beyond to make this deal happen for me. I must say if these gentlemen could help me they could help anyone. I will definitely recommend Kevin Bailey and Daniel J. Ford along with the rest of the financial managers at Lindsay Ford in Wheaton, MD to all of my family and friends. This experience was very pleasant and I could not have asked for a better team of gentlemen to help me with my purchase.

To be honest, this is the first time I have been able to breathe fresh air since I moved here to Maryland; FINALLY ! From the time I walked in the Lindsay Ford dealership I've been nothing but super satisfied and relieved of the burdens that some car dealerships take advantage of uninformed customers simply looking for trustworthy, reliable, and long term relationship, but not here! However,(Kevin Bailey,Mark Law,Scott Minor)have done nothing less than the best customer service I've recieved since I've entered the car buying market! Even the Jim Davie (GM)who I had the pleasure to meet today, exchaged words, advise, and compliments of my investment made! You usually never get acknowlegded by the GM,but this goes to show you the customer friendliness and team support they have prepared for you! I would and will recommend you bring your search for a new or used vehicle here anyday, anytime, I'm almost sure your experience will be in your favor! Once again THANKS for not only selling vehicles but providing happiness, comfortability, and to be felt as if someone really cares, that's very very important! THANKS LINDSAY FORD TEAM!

I have just visited this dealer yesterday. I was quoted $21,500 OTD for an 2012 Escape Limited. The price is too good to be true so I once again asked if he was mistaken and he confirmed that IS the OTD price. When we got there, we found out the OTD price he meant is the total price minus down payment! So the true OTD price is actually $31,500. How can a car salesperson mis-interpret the meaning of OTD price? Also he did not even use all the incentives that Ford has been advertising for a week! If he had put on all the incentives, then the price would be ridiculous and I would have talked to his manager before we went. This incident made me wonder whether this is the most stupid trick that they are playing. Plus I have been kept waiting for 30 minutes without any information. Wasted almost 3 hours going to this dealership, plus the cost of losing opportunity of buying a similiar car from another dealership.

We were looking for a new car and we used USAA to get quotes from a few local dealers. Since we were buying a new car, we new exactly what we wanted. Mario from Lindsay Ford told us that he had that exact VIN make/model in the color that we wanted. We checked, double and triple checked with him that he did indeed have the vehicle we wanted before we metro-ed out to Wheaton on a 100 degree day. On the phone he promised me that he had the vehicle one hour before we arrived at the dealership. When we arrive he pretended to look for the keys for 10 minutes before coming out and telling us that he didn't have the car we wanted, but he had others and we should consider those. We got right up and left. Don't waste your time with these people. We had a great experience with Jerry's Ford in Alexandria, but the Lindsay Ford people earned the bad reputation that car dealers have.

My purchase of a 2011 Flex last week marks the 4th automobile I've bought from Tom LaGrave, and the 5th car I've bought from Lindsay Ford of Wheaton (and its predecessors). I keep returning to the Lindsay folks because they project a sense of decency, competence, and fair play that I have not always gotten from other dealers. And Tom LaGrave personifies this important mix of attributes. Tom asks a lot of questions, provides lots of solid information, and truly tries to find the right deal for me at the right time, all in good humor. Kudos to Lindsay for attracting and keeping people like Tom around.

AWESOME!!! 2008 Chrysler Town & Country... The most helpful group I've ever dealt with! We almost didn't get to Lindsay because we stopped at another dealer almost 1.5 hours away from Wheaton. I called Maribel and she said not to worry just come even though we'd be getting there at closing time! A few hours later my wife was driving home in our van! A brake light was out and we found the cruise control was not working. I called Maribel to inform her and she said she would meet me to pay for a new bulb and discuss options for the repair of the cruise control. Instead we drove home, replaced the bulb and took the van to our local Chrysler dealership. I faxed our ticket to Maribel! Not only did she make sure our bill for the cruise control was paid, she had them pay for a new key as well! A total of $515.60!! I know she couldn't do this all on her own so a big thanks goes out to everyone involved in making all of this happen for my family! I called the day we were told our tags were there. The Lindsay team had them shipped & at my door the following day! SWEET!! I feel very blessed with our purchase and very blessed and proud to have found Maribel!! Who are we gonna call for our next purchase??? You got it... Maribel and the wonderful team that is Lindsay Ford of Wheaton!!!

I purchased a 2008 Lexus ES 350 from this dealership, I paid cash. I had the vehicle less than one week, around the third day, the rear passenger side tire was losing air. I refilled this tire on four separate occasions to no avail. I then purchased a tire fix/inflator kit, same results. I tried a different brand of tire fix/inflator...the same results. So, I was left with no alternative because it was still losing air so took to a service center on 14 Dec 2011 to have the tire repaired, they said the tire was fine, the wheel was bent and cracked. I called Lindsay Ford of Wheaton, MD seven times and left messages. I called Jim Davies, the General Manager and also Giles Mulligan an assistant, neither would answer their phone nor return any of the messages that I left. Since no one would return my call, I wrote a letter including receipts and sent it to them on 12 Dec 2011, still nothing heard from them. When I made the initial call and talked and explained to the salesman that sold me the vehicle, he indicated that it was a known problem however, the inspectors from Maryland who did the state vehicle inspection, did not have a problem with the cracked rim. He further stated that I would have to take it up with one of the managers listed above, it was out of his hands. He did not offer to talk with them, explain the issue, nothing. Basically said the ball was in my court, run with it! I did all the research and work to find a new wheel at over half the price of one from Lexus, drove to get it, had it put on. The cost of the wheel was $262.50, 70 miles driving at .40 is $28.00, $22.35 to have the tire put on the new wheel and $20.00 for two tire stop leak cans for a total of $332.85. This company has not been responsive to any customer care issues. It took them 1 1/2 weeks to reimburse me my deposit on my credit card, over 2 1/2 months to get the correct front license plate bracket...they sent me one for a Nissan after I called six times and waited for over 2 months. I notified them about the wheel and Bottomline, they will not correspond. I want the money I have spent...even though that doesn't cover my time, the safety issues that it put my family in or the extreme inconvenience.Filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and Lindsay's response was that we damaged the wheel on the way home! Hmmm...guessing the Managers didn't talk to the Salesman prior too his repsonse...they knew it was damaged prior to selling. I wouldn't recommend this dealership to anyone! You pay a dealership well over 20k cash for a vehicle and they're so criminal and greedy they won't refund $332.85 for something they knew existed!!! Wow...Stay away from them...shady practicies, once they get your money...they're done with you!!

We recently purchased a used Ford-F150 from Linsday Ford in Wheaton. Maribel was a pleasure to work with - not at all pushy, straightforward, friendly and professional, and she seemed genuinely interested in getting us the vehicle we wanted. Despite the dealership being very busy during the time we visited, she patiently answered our questions, showed us the vehicles in which we were interested without rushing us, and was attentive throughout our visit. Lindsay's advertised prices are low, and we found there wasn't as much room for negotiation as with other vehicles we purchased, but the price was more than fair. Daniel in finance made that part a breeze, by searching for the bank that would give us the lowest rate and explaining the difference a down payment would make (which we decided to forgo). It was great to find a terrific dealer so close to home, and we definitely plan to come back when it is time to replace our other vehicle. Since we just purchased the vehicle, I can't comment on the process for tags and title yet, but so far the experience has been good!

I went to Lindsy ford to buy a new Focus on Christmas eve and was treated very badly by the manager. It was my third purchase since 2003. I was showing my loyalty. But this man treated me with extreme prejudice. I should have at the least received a two thousand dollar trade in for my 2005 Focus.I was devastated when he said he would only give me three hundred dollars for the trade in. I was hoping for a zero percent interest but he gave me two point nine percent for four years a four hundred fifteen dollar a month payment which is twice the payment I had on my last Focus.I realized the next day that he probably just wanted me to leave. But I was desperate, not to be without a car. I returned there on December 28th to talk to someone about the way I was treated and was informed the man no longer worked there. My girlfriend believes I should go to the better business bureau She says I was ripped off. Lindsay Ford is blessed to have Curtis Ford as their Service Manager. When I purchased my vehicle from Lindsay in February 2011, I received excellent service from the sales team. But, when I returned to the dealership for a routine oil change I was shocked and disgusted by the poor and highly unprofessional treatment I received from the Service Department, so much so that it completely shattered the positive review I had of the dealership. I found the staff to be blatantly rude and dismissive and I ultimately left vowing to never return to the dealership for any reason. Despite my vow, circumstances forced me to return to the Lindsay Ford Service Department shortly after my first visit when the Check Engine light came on in my vehicle. Much to my surprise, I witnessed a major improvement in their quality of service; the change was so drastic that I was motivated to comment to the Service Department manager. It was then that I learned that Curtis Ford had recently transferred to Lindsay from Koons, and was credited with changing the atmosphere in the Service Department, resulting in a much more professional, positive experience for customers. On that visit and each of my subsequent visits I have seen Mr. Ford go above and beyond the call of duty to ensure that my service is completed in a professional, expedient and satisfactory manner. And, I have frequently heard other Service Department customers comment on the vast improvements in customer service. I, for one, commend Mr. Ford on a job well done and commend Lindsay Ford for bringing him on board!

I see I am not the only person who has purchased a use vehicle from this dealer and had problems with the tag work being processed. I had pretty much the same problems as the person before me who wrote a bad review. The only time I had "customer service" was when I handed over the money for the vehicle. Now they are satisfied and refuse to even appologize for messing up my paper work to my car and putting illegal tags on my vehicle. Worst car buying experience ever, and the service dept man gave me attitude as well when scheduling to have warranty work done.

Love my used vehicle, price was fair but it's been 60 days and I can no longer drive the vehicle because the temp tag has expired and this dealer STILL has NOT gotten my tags to me. We've called more than 10 times but keep getting the run around. I'd NEVER recommend this dealer and would NEVER buy another car from Lindsay. Very difficult to be paying on a vehicle that you cannot drive because you can't get tags. The dealer kept our original registration card, but somehow lost our paperwork. Now it's been lost 3 times so far? Extremely disappointed and upset over the entire deal. Not to mention, that a "we owe" was written for the temp control knobs. And, you guessed it...never got those either. Although I was told over the phone that they were in the mail. It's been over 6 weeks, still no knobs and still no tags.

In my life experience, I usually equate visiting an automobile dealership with a visit to the dentist, painful. Not so with Lindsay Ford of Wheaton. This is the second vehicle I purchased from this dealership. From the moment I walked in the door I was greeted like an old friend. Bill Godly patiently answered all of my questions about the vehicle I was interested in. There was no pressure to get me into a vehicle I wasn't interested in nor was there pressure for me to add features to the vehicle I eventually purchased. The paperwork was handled quickly and professionally and I was out of there and on the road in no time. Ignore the Negative Reviews at Your Own RiskI decided to visit Lindsay Ford of Wheaton despite reading the negative reviews on Sunday, June 26. It was the biggest mistake of my life. I never received such poor, unprofessional treatment. First, I received sexist remarks (e.g., I should be buying a turquoise blue car because that is a womans color). Then, they kept adding extra services and features to the car I wanted even after I explicitly said I did not want or need them. Next, they damaged my car that I turned over to them to assess its trade-in value. See the pictures at http://www.flickr.com/photos/64912613atN03/sets/72157627010808181.Not only did they damaged it, they attempted to cover-up the damage, accused me of causing the damage prior to my arrival, and, when it was revealed by a police officer the damage occurred under their responsibility and on their property, have been non-responsive to working with me in repairing the damage. I have not received a response despite multiple calls to the General Manager, Jim Davie, and the Owner, Chris Lindsay. Long story short, if you take your business to Lindsay Ford of Wheaton, do so at your own risk.

I purchased a Ford Edge about two months ago from Jeff. When I purchased the vehicle I was only given one key and was told by Jeff that the key should show up and check back in in a few weeks. I waited a few weeks and began to call my sales representative and I never heard from him. I thought I would escalate the issue and as suggested by the operator and began to leave messages for the Used Car Director. When I did not hear back from him, after numerous attempts, I thought I would escalate the issue even higher. I spoke with the operator again and was directed to call the General Manager, but he was on vacation and he would be returning in approximately a week. I called backthe following Monday and left a message for him. I received no call back and had left numerous messages for the next few days and never heard from him or anyone else for that matter. On Monday, June 6th, I still had heard nothing so I decided to call the owner and shortly after I contacted them another manager from the dealership called me. Andrew contacted me, listened to my concerns and was diligent in getting this handled.I have my second key and am now a satisfied Lindsay customer.

After having a horrible experience with the used salesman we had, we had to get our CD player fixed. The service department employee's name we worked with is Mr. Diaz and he was extremely helpful. It was very refreshing to work with Mr. Diaz because he had a great attitude and was willing to do anything to help us. Mr. Diaz followed through on our problem and was able to successfully fix it without it being an inconveinence to us.

I got a new 2011 Mustang V6. I really got a good price and also a great APR. I checked with multiple dealers before going to Lindsay ford. There price was simply unbeatable. I appreciate the service they provided right from the beginning. I will definitely recommend this dealership.

Excellent experience form start to finish. Requested quote online and was provided information I asked for immediately. No pressure once I visited the dealership and financing was easy. I would definitely recommend Lindsay Ford for Sales and Service.

This was by far the best buying experience I've ever had Barry was great and very well informed, Scott was the manager and he took a personal interest in making sure I was completely satisfied, and Mark made the financing very quick and easy I would definitely recommend Lindsay Ford to anyone looking for a new vehicle.

Terrible experience. Tons of runarounds, extremely slow. Finally given a bait-and-switch at the very end of the buying process, after I presented them with a Zag guaranteed price certificate which they said they'd honor at first for the new Ford I was interested in, then switched me to another manager who turned it down. Dirty, dirty, dirty. Dishonest sales managers. Salesman was ok, but lost. Total waste of half a day. I will never, EVER have anything to do with them again, and I'm going to get them blacklisted with Zag and the Better Business Bureau.

Extremely friendly and courteous going above and beyond with help. Stayed on top of our issue and called to give update. Helped on the phone with a problem I was having with Sync thatturned out to be a problem with my Blackberry battery that even the Synccustomer service people didn't even think of and he fixed the problem. I will definitely come back again and ask for Isaac.

We had trouble with the Sync which wouldn't work with our iPhones. We took the car in several times but the problem wasn't resolved. Finally they brought the same vehilce with a working iPhone on Sync to my house with two technicians to compare what was happening to resolve the problem. They were there for an hour and got the Sync system working at this point but their willingness to come to my house with their friendly manner demonstrated top notch service.

This was just a periodic routine maintenence visit. Once I had made this appointment (via telephone--see below), I received ample electronic reminders in advance, via both e-mail and voicemail. I elected to wait, rather than return later, because, based on past experience, I expected the work to be performed quickly, and it was. (Total elapsed time from dropoff to release and driveoff was only 1 hour and 34 minutes.) My discount coupon for "The Works" was honored immediately and without question.Conversely, there is a significant problem with their website. I was unable to book this appointment on-line because the service subsystem blacks out all days of the current week, i.e., you can't book a service appointment sooner than at least one week out. Also, the dealer-specific coupons offered on-line all had expiration dates of January 31. Thus, they were useless to customers trying to book an appointment on January 30 for a date in February. I mentioned all this to Service Advisor John Kiernan, who seemed unpleasantly surprised about it. Whether he conveyed this to the Service Manager and/or Database Manager I have no idea. Regardless, this type of customer-unfriendly website design flaw is extremely counterpoductive and offputting. It needs to be fixed forthwith.

Bad. Super suck. Dont go there. Sales person was NOT helpful. They gave me another. I purchased a used car that needed minimal paint retouching. It took over a week. You can never get anyone on the phone there. If you do, they usually can't or won't help you.

Simply the worst service department I have ever been to in my entire life.Despite of the many negative online reviews of Lindsay Ford I unwisely decided to bring my car here anyway because the location was convenient. What a huge mistake. In my 25 years of owning cars I can honestly say that this is the WORST automobile service center that I have ever been to. Another online review I read called this service department extremely rude, unhelpful, and unprofessional. I can confirm that from firsthand experience. This place is so bad that I am absolutely amazed that it remains in business. I would never bring my car back here even if it were the only service station within 100 miles (PS to the owners of Lindsay, it is not).

This was the most horrific car dealer experience I've ever had. I went in a test drove a Ford Fusion, gave my credit information and since it was late and I needed to bring in some materials I said I would come back later in the week. The next day I wanted to make sure I was bringing in the right materials and I emailed the salesman and he has YET to get back to me. Then I went up there and he wasn't there and his cell phone was off and no one could get in touch with him. I have still yet to hear from him. I called and spoke to the general manager and he got an attitude about me complaining. I would never, ever buy a Ford simply because this dealer has left a bad taste in my mouth. Go to Herb Gordon instead!

I like these guys because they are friendly and they do a decent job on routine maintenance, but last year, when my 2002 ford taurus mysteriously began flooding -- after a heavy rain the right side floor, both front & back, was sopping wet, I took it into the dealer. My carpets were so wet that I had a sopping wet towel on the back floor, to soak up the rainwater. I told Oliver about the problem; I emphasized to him that sometimes the front seat passenger side floor was wet, but when I parked the car on a slight uphill (my driveway has a slight uphill), the rear passenger side floor was wet. I was very clear about this. When I came to pick up the car Oliver informed me that the carpet had been dried and that there were no door leaks. I thanked him and drove home. I was in a rush so I didn't actually check the carpet. When I got home I found out that the front seat passenger side floor carpet was dry -- but my sopping wet towel on the back seat floor was still there! I was outraged! How could they have possibly checked my carpets without noticing a sopping wet towel on the back floor? There's no way they would have removed the towel and then replaced it. Ugh. It was so exasperating. I had to go back THREE times to get this dealt with. They couldn't solve the problem the second time either, but by the time I showed up a third time -- Ford had issued a service bulletin saying there was a problem with the 'rain hat' a seal that goes under the windshield. They fixed the problem -- I think, because at least once since then the floor has gotten damp, and I"m pretty sure I didn't spill a drink there.<br><br>Anyway, the bottom line is this. Oliver claimed that I never told him about the rear floor. I know I did. Even if for some reason he didn't hear me -- who would check only one part of a floor when a leak is involved? Also it took me three times! to get this fixed. And I did not receive an apology.<br><br>If you have to go to this dealer to get warranty service, do it, but avoid Oliver. Better yet, if you have anything that's complicated, put it in writing, and have them staple it to their service papers. That way they can't claim that you never told them the full nature of the problem.<br><br><br>
